Halo Infinite Studio Head Promises Delay Will Be Worth It The 343 Industries founder has addressed fan disappointment at Halo Infinite's new launch window. In a holiday roundup post on Halo Waypoint, 343 Industries studio head Bonnie Ross has addressed fans' disappointment about the newly announced Halo Infinite release window, but has promised that the delay is happening for a reason. The Waypoint post includes updates on the Master Chief Collection, the Halo Esports community, and even the upcoming live action Halo TV show, but closes out with a message from studio head Bonnie Ross. Though the message is focused on the studio's successes of 2020, including five releases as part of the Master Chief Collection on PC, Ross also touches on the conversation around Infinite's delay. "2021 will be a big year for the Halo franchise," Ross says. "As we recently announced, Halo Infinite will release in fall of 2021. I realize the wait has been difficult, and I assure you that the team wants the game in your hands as soon as possible, but they also want to deliver something special…the Halo game you deserve. Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and most importantly your words of support to the team. I cannot express how grateful I am for the Halo community and the encouragement you've expressed to us. It has lifted us up and provided us the fuel to keep going. As you saw from the recent blog post, the team is making tremendous progress and is SO eager to show you more." Halo Infinite was originally meant to release as a launch title with the Xbox Series X|S (also coming to Xbox One), but was later delayed into 2021. 343 only recently narrowed that release window to fall 2021. Though Halo Infinite is coming to Xbox One as well, it was a strong contender to be a showpiece for the new Xbox Series X|S. The new release window will put Infinite's release nearly a year behind what was initially announced--though as Cyberpunk 2077's messy launch recently proved, sometimes it's better to give developers the time they need to polish a game of this scope.

Whether you drive a car, van or truck, you’ll find the best dash cams for every motorist in the list below. We’ve reviewed, rated and ranked all of the top in-car cameras, so whatever you drive, you’ll find your ideal option in this buying guide. There are many reasons why you might want a dash cam. Mounted to your windscreen, they make motoring safer by capturing everything that happens while you’re behind the wheel. Besides giving you peace of mind, they can help to lower your insurance premiums – and clips of unexpected moments on the road can make for great YouTube material. What’s more, while minor mishaps will hopefully be the most a dash cam ever captures, its recordings could also prove invaluable in the unfortunate event of an accident. And with roads still busy despite the global pandemic, it makes sense to consider investing in the best dash cam you can get. There’s a lot to consider when choosing the right dash cam. Many entry-level dash cams can capture footage in Full HD, while the best are able to record in 4K. The added resolution won’t be necessary for everyone, but it could be important if, for example, you need to read the number plate of a passing vehicle. Some dash cams have a second lens which can record the inside of your vehicle, while others can be paired with a second camera to capture video out of the rear-view window. The best models – including our current top pick, the NextBase 622GW – also offer a night vision mode, which will be particularly important if you spend a lot of time driving after dark. There are several capable yet affordable dash cams on the market, such as the keyfob-sized Garmin Dash Cam Mini. Cameras like this generally offer a simple, reliable recording solution for drivers on a budget, while also including important safety features like incident detection, which automatically saves footage from before, during and after an accident. You might want a camera that can record higher resolution footage or capture additional data. Certain premium models can track your location with GPS or log G-force in the even of an impact, while others allow you to wirelessly save footage to your smartphone. A few even support Alexa integration for hands-free smart assistance as you drive. Whatever your budget, preference and vehicle, the buying guide below features the very best dash cams for every kind of driver. Read to the end and you’re sure to find your ideal option.

Samsung 970 Evo 500GB Hits New $59 Low Store all your new holiday games for cheap. The Holiday season has arrived and the Steam Winter Sale is officially upon us, which means you’re probably going to need some storage for all your new games. Luckily, software isn’t the only thing on sale right now, and the M.2 NVMe Samsung 970 Evo 500GB is currently sitting at a new low price of $59 on Amazon. This is part of our effort to share the best holiday tech deals we can find. Be sure to check back throughout the holiday season as we feature more deals on computer hardware and peripherals. Samsung 970 EVO 500GB: was $99.99 , now $59.99 at Amazon Samsung's most-affordable NVMe drive promises reads and writes of 3,400 and 2,500 MBps with a strong five-year warranty that covers 600 TBW. It uses Samsung 3-bit MLC V-NAND and the company's Phoenix controller. The Samsung 970 Evo is the slightly less fancy predecessor to the Samsung 970 Evo Plus, which is one of the best SSDs you can get right now and is also on sale at Best Buy right now, though with not nearly as steep of a discount. Still, even though its write speeds aren’t quite as high, the base 970 Evo is still a great upgrade from DRAM-less drives like the Intel SSD 660p. The 970 Evo also has the same 256-bit AES encryption as its successor. And its 3,400/2,500 read/write speeds are still plenty fast for most users, especially those just looking to load games quickly. That makes this drive a great place to start looking for the best SSD deals. The 1TB version of the 970 Evo is also on sale at Amazon, though it’s unfortunately only 22% off as opposed to 40% off.

Toyota Doubles Down on Hydrogen With a New Mirai and Commercial Trucks While most of the rest of the automotive industry is adopting electricity as the fuel of an emissions-free tomorrow, Toyota continues to claim that hydrogen is going to be the way forward. Or at least a large part of the way. Indeed, Toyota just revealed the second generation of its Mirai hydrogen fuel cell-powered car. The all-new 2021 Mirai will ride on a shortened version of the luxury Lexus LS platform. It will have a range of as much as 402 miles, 30-percent better than the first-gen Mirai, will seat five instead of four, and will cost about $9,000 less with a starting sticker of $50,455 before incentives, the latter of which are prodigious. True, Toyota is not yet at the point of profitability with the Mirai, perhaps far from it, but that’s not the point in this early stage of the technology. “We don’t want the price to be a hinderance (to purchase),” said Tenhouse. “We want customers in this vehicle. Someday we’ll get there (profitability), but (at this point) we consider it an investment.” Toyota is working on hydrogen fuel cell-powered commercial vehicles, too, even as big as 18-wheelers, which could benefit from the use of hydrogen instead of diesel. Less than two weeks ago Toyota revealed its most recent prototype 18-wheeler fuel cell vehicle, a Kenworth T680 Class 8 truck, aka, a Big Rig. The truck houses six hydrogen tanks in the aft section of the cab and uses the same fuel cell system found on the 2021 Mirai, Toyota said. The prototype can go 300 miles towing the rig’s maximum weight of 80,000 pounds. Two of the trucks were scheduled to start working in the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach this month, with eight more coming in 2021. “After extensive testing with our proof-of-concept prototypes, we’re ready for the next step of putting more trucks into drayage operations,” said Andrew Lund, chief engineer, Toyota Motor North America Research and Development. “Moving toward emissions-free trucks is more important than ever, and the ZANZEFF project has been instrumental in getting us closer to that goal.” What is ZANZEFF? Development of those fuel cell-powered Kenworth trucks is part of a $41 million Zero and Near-Zero Emissions Freight Facilities (ZANZEFF) grant awarded by the California Air Resources Board (CARB), with the Port of Los Angeles as the prime applicant. The port has a huge number of big rigs hauling containers around. Often the big rigs are idling, spewing diesel particulate matter into the air. With hydrogen fuel cell propulsion, tailpipe emissions would be only water. “This is an important step in the transition to emissions-free heavy-duty trucks,” said Lund. “Our first prototype trucks proved that a fuel cell electric powertrain was capable of hauling heavy cargo on a daily basis. These new prototypes not only use production-intent hardware, they will also allow us to start looking beyond drayage into broader applications of this proven technology.” If this works out, and if the cost of hydrogen ever works out to be lower than the cost of diesel fuel, Toyota would be in prime position to get a chunk of the 15.5-million-truck market in the U.S., two million of which are tractor trailers, according to truckinfo.net.

CREATING YOUR RÉSUMÉ Creating your résumé is the first step to getting a job. Learn exactly what goes into this important document and start your career search off on the right foot by creating your own résumé. STEP-BY-STEP RÉSUMÉ BREAKDOWN A résumé is a one-page summary of your work and school experiences. Employers match your résumé against their job openings to evaluate if you'd be a good fit. As such, it's important to make your résumé a good representation of yourself. Here's how, step by step: 1. Decide Which Type Of Résumé You Want. There are three types of résumés: chronological, functional and combination. You might want to consider more than one format of résumé if you're applying for multiple jobs. Chronological is the most traditional format and lists experiences according to the order in which they took place. These résumés generally appeal to older readers and may be best suited for a conservative field. Functional is a type of résumé that lists your experiences according to skill. This is the format to use if you're changing career direction (and lack direct work experience). Because it displays your skills first, your work experience, or lack thereof, is not the main focus. Combination combines the best aspects of the chronological and functional styles. Be careful with length for this format; the résumé can quickly get long. 2. Create A Header. A header should include your name, phone number and email address. You can also include your mailing address, but leave it out if you plan to post your résumé online. Use a phone number that you plan to answer and change your voicemail to a more professional message if necessary. Make sure your email address is professional. If your current email address, for example, is candygirl@mail.com or hotbod@inbox.com, it's time to set up a new email, such as janesmith@mail.com or jsmith99@inbox.com. 3. Write A Summary. In one or two sentences, summarize your work experience and relevant skills. Keep this strong and simple. The summary can be useful to explain why you're applying for a role that is a departure from your career path. You don't have to include a summary, especially if your experience speaks for itself and is relevant to the jobs you're applying for. 4. List Your Experiences Or Skills. FOR CHRONOLOGICAL/COMBINATION RÉSUMÉS, LIST YOUR EXPERIENCES Starting with your most recent or current job, list your previous work experiences. This section shows where you have worked and when. It also states specific accomplishments for each position or job. This is where content can make your résumé run over a page, so be selective (if necessary) about what you include. Pick experiences that seem most relevant to the position you seek. For inspiration, think of your full-time or part-time work, summer jobs, occasional jobs, internships, fieldwork and special projects. Don't worry whether your experiences are "good enough." Employers admire people who have worked hard in a variety of positions. Always start each achievement with an accomplishment verb, like accelerated, achieved, expanded, influenced, solved, maintained, generated, effected, advised, controlled, trained or utilized. Don't worry if there are gaps in the timeline, but keep everything in chronological order, with most recent jobs at the top. Examples: Southwestern Writing Center, Peer Writing Tutor, Yuma, AZ April 2014–Present- Tutored students in writing for all disciplines.- Critiqued peers' writing. Camp Granite Falls, Area Director, Mountainville, TNJune 2013–September 2017- Directed staff of four while supervising 20 campers.- Taught crafts, sports and cooking. FOR FUNCTIONAL/COMBINATION RÉSUMÉS, LIST YOUR SKILLS The "skills" section of your résumé is a place where you can show your strengths and individuality. Start by stating each skill. Then back it up with a two- to three-line explanation of how you learned that skill or why you believe you have it. Make these entries short, clear and to the point. List skills that are most relevant to the job you seek. Think about what the employer is looking for in relation to what you've done and who you are as a person. Don't forget to list computer programs you've had experience with; proficiency can be seen as added value. Examples: Self-Motivated: Proactively organized volunteers to assist with distribution at the community food bank. Bookkeeping: Maintained accurate, detailed inventory reports at school library and subsequently won Top Librarian Assistant award three months straight for Brown County. 5. List Your Activities. List activities in which you have participated and include what your specific role was in each. This is the place to note membership or leadership positions in clubs, organizations of any kind, athletic teams, community organizations and so on. If you've had an interesting job unrelated to the field you're pursuing—such as reading to blind children or teaching English as a second language (ESL)—add it here. Employers are always looking for people with diverse backgrounds to work for them. Examples: Track Team: Team Captain, Senior Year. Fall 2016–Spring 2017. Drama Club: "Crazy for You" and "West Side Story." Fall 2017 and 2018. 6. List Your Education. List the schools you've attended, starting with the most recent one. Include details such as GPA, class rank or special awards. Add any other educational experiences, such as training programs, community college or summer courses, seminars and so on. Examples: Oldham County High School, Oldham, PA. 3.8 GPA. Anticipated Graduation: June 2019. Bellville Adult Education, Bellville, NY. Introduction to Web Design. September 2017. 7. List Any Awards You've Won And When You Won Them. When you've been recognized by someone else, you should let potential employers know about it. But you shouldn't worry if you haven't received any awards; just skip this section. Examples: Richmond County National Essay Contest, Honorable Mention, May 2006. Honor Roll, South Satchewan High School, Junior and Senior Years, 2008–2010. 8. List Your Personal Interests. This section shows you're a well-rounded person who people would want to know and work with. Employers often use this section at the start of an interview to break the ice. Casual interests are better not to list (e.g., napping, watching reality TV, gossiping). This is really about highlighting hobbies that have helped you grow as a person. This résumé step is considered optional. If you're having trouble coming up with interests, or feel your résumé is already too long, feel free to leave it off.

Farmers From Maharashtra Leave For Delhi To Join Protests A Kisan Sabha leader said farmers from 21 districts in Maharashtra are on their way to Delhi. Nashik (Maharashtra): Thousands of farmers from Maharashtra on Monday left for Delhi from Nashik to join the ongoing agitation by cultivators seeking the repeal of three agri laws passed by the Centre. The farmers, who started off in private vehicles, were led by leaders of the Kisan Sabha. A Kisan Sabha leader said farmers from 21 districts in Maharashtra are on their way to Delhi. He said agriculturists from Maharashtra have been demanding waiving of ''inflated'' power bills and implementation of the recommendations of the M S Swaminathan Commiittee. Their other demands include an aid of ₹ 50,000 per acre to those farmers whose crops were damaged due to unseasonal rains. Addressing the gathering of farmers, Akhil Bharatiya Kisan Sabha leaders Ashok Dhawale and Ajit Navale criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) over the agri laws. They alleged that the new farm laws were enacted with the sole purpose of benefiting select corporates at the cost of farmers. The farmers are expected to reach New Delhi, a distance of over 1,200 kms, on December 24 through Mumbai-Agra national highway, a leader said. Enacted in September, the three farm laws have been projected by the central government as major reforms in the agriculture sector that will remove the middlemen and allow farmers to sell anywhere in the country. However, the protesting farmers have expressed apprehension that the new laws would pave the way for eliminating the safety cushion of Minimum Support Price and do away with the mandi system, leaving them at the mercy of big corporates. The government has repeatedly asserted that the MSP and Mandi systems will stay and has accused the opposition of misleading the farmers. Multiple rounds of talks held between the government and the protesting farmers, mostly from Punjab and Haryana, have failed to break the impasse.

Firefox 85 is dropping very soon with a major privacy upgrade Network Partitioning is coming to Firefox The next Firefox build is scheduled for release in January 2021 and will come with a new privacy-enhancing feature that should please fans of anonymous browsers, the company has revealed. Firefox 85 will come equipped with a Network Partitioning feature that means third-party services will find it more difficult to track users across multiple sites. Essentially, the new partitioning feature works by keeping stored user data separate depending on which website it was sourced from. Usually, browsers pool user data together but this allows websites, advertisers, and web analytics platforms to track users by scrutinizing this shared pool. Take a look at our list of the best VPN services Here are the best Windows 10 VPN services Also, here's our roundup of the best business VPNs With the Network Partitioning feature enabled, Firefox will store data like website caches, CSS files, images, and TLS client certificates on a per-website basis. Privacy over performance Firefox is not the first browser to employ some form of network partitioning. Apple’s Safari browser began separating the user’s HTTP cache all the way back in 2013 and Google Chrome followed suit more recently. However, although network partitioning does deliver privacy benefits, there are some performance drawbacks. When Chrome partitioned its HTTP cache in October, it rendered Google Fonts largely useless as the service could no longer speed up the loading process by storing fonts in a website’s cache. Other new features coming to Firefox 85 include the ability to disable a homepage and new tab override for an extension without disabling the extension, a tweak to the “undo closed tabs” feature, and notably, it will be the first Firefox build not to offer Flash support. The latest Firefox update is scheduled for release on January 26 next year.

Junkyard Gem: 2007 Mercury Mariner Hybrid Once hybrid vehicles from Honda and Toyota proved to work well in the real world of American streets during the early 2000s, other U.S.-market manufacturers climbed aboard the gasoline-electric bandwagon. Ford introduced the Escape Hybrid for the 2005 model year and sales proved quite strong; its Mercury-badged sibling, the Mariner Hybrid, appeared the following year. The Mariner Hybrid never induced many vehicle shoppers to sign on the line which is dotted, despite gasoline prices going absolutely ape in 2008, though it remained available all the way through the Mercury brand's 2010 demise. Here's one of those rare trucks, found in a Denver-area yard last month. The Escape/Mariner Hybrids got amazing fuel economy for tall, truck-shaped machines, though the serious penny-pinchers with long commutes skipped anything built in the 21st century and began driving up the prices of the once-scorned Geo Metro XFi, gas-sipping champion of the previous decade. The Mercury brand was on the ropes by this time, with not much to distinguish the once-distinctive Mercury machines from their near-identical Ford counterparts. The 1999-2002 Cougar was the last Mercury sold here with no twin brothers over in the Ford showrooms. I do see the occasional Escape Hybrid in places like this, though such gas-saving small SUVs tend to retain their value well enough that it takes a crash to retire one. This Mariner Hybrid hit something hard and either flipped on its side or scraped a guardrail for some distance. The airbags deployed and, presumably, spared the occupants from serious injury. That's the good news. The bad news is that fixing this kind of damage to a 13-year-old vehicle made by a defunct brand just isn't worth it to insurance companies, hybrid-electric powertrain or not. We can assume that the battery pack lives on in another Escape/Mariner.

DIY: How To Make Your Own Daily Planner Stuck trying to find the perfect planner to fit all of your needs? Recently I was going from site to site trying to find the perfect daily planner to track the many “hats” that I wear. I started the search in August knowing soon I would be scheduling dates into 2017. Sticky notes in the back of my planner could only last for so long before I would start to lose them. The search was extensive, there were parts from one planner I loved but didn’t like other parts. The cycle continued. The planners I loved the most also cost the most and I wasn’t sure if I could commit to the cost. For just $20 I was able to completely customize my daily planner and I didn’t have to stress over the cost. Today, I am going to show you how I did it and how you can create your own planner too. Step #1: Find a binder to hold your planner. I’m not sure about all of you but Target is a very dangerous store for me. At our local Target stores, the dollar section is the first area you walk by once you enter the store. In a blunder of trying to choose a planner, I walked into the dollar section and had the “a-ha” moment I’ve been waiting for. The pink polka dot binder spoke to me saying, ‘Kayla, make your own and here is everything you need.’ Step #2: Customize the months you need. I was able to create my planner starting with October 2016 and continue until December 2017, this way I won’t have to carry around two planners. [RELATED: A Simple One Year Plan To Improve Your Career] Step #3: Choose your binder tabs for each week. The different packets I purchased had binder tabs. Behind the first tab was a weekly calendar where each week was broken down vertically with plenty of room to write in my schedule for each day. The binder feature also allows me to be able to move a completed week to the end of the year so the current week is in the front and I can still access past dates easily. Step #4: Create calendars for specific projects. The next tab is my monthly calendar; this calendar will solely be used to fill in my Thirty-One party dates and mileage. I love this feature because it is out of the way and not plugging up my everyday calendar. Step 5: Add extra note paper. The three remaining tabs I filled with notebook paper to have my to-do lists, grocery lists, notes, and other things broken down. I also purchased a couple sets of stickers that were available that can be used for notes and reminders throughout the planner. The Result: I love my new and affordable planner. I plan to buy up the supplies so I am able to do the same for 2018. I hope this gives you an idea of how you can create your own affordable planner. The photos I have included are the styles that I purchased, Target had a few layouts available. Finding the perfect planner can be hard and you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get the one that is perfect for you. Sometimes what you need is closer than you think. There are so many planners out there that I thought would be perfect for me but couldn’t get past paying so much money for a planner. Now, I found a way to get an affordable planner and still have the perfect planner for me in the end and you can too.
