  4. Ubisoft Is Giving Away Gifts Every Day This Week, Starting With Assassin's Creed Valhalla DLC The first holiday gift from Ubisoft includes a Bayek outfit for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Ubisoft is celebrating the holidays by giving away free daily gifts. Day one of the promotion is live now, and it features a content pack for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Four more gifts will be available this week, one each day through December 18. You simply need to have a free Ubisoft account to claim the freebies, which are available on all compatible platforms. The Assassin's Creed Valhalla Rewards Pack contains the Seafarer Settlement Pack and a Bayek outfit for Eivor. Bayek was the main protagonist of Assassin's Creed Origins, so if you're a fan of that game, this is a neat little freebie. The Rewards Pack is available on PS5/PS4, Xbox Series X|S/Xbox One, and PC. Ubisoft hasn't revealed what to expect in the coming days, but we imagine it'll be more in-game content for recently released games--perhaps Watch Dogs: Legion and Immortals Fenyx Rising. For those who haven't picked up Assassin's Creed Valhalla yet, you can snag it for its best price yet ($45) at GameStop today as part of the retailer's Green Monday sale. Ubisoft isn't the only gaming company giving away freebies for the holidays. Later this week, the Epic Games Store will start offering one free PC game per day for 15 days.

  5. This VPN will now start blocking the Pirate Bay and more Users of Sophidea's VPN service will no longer be able to access po[CENSORED]r torrenting sites A US-based internet service provider (ISP) that operates a VPN service has agreed to block several major online pirating sites in response to a lawsuit filed by a firm that represents several major film studios. As courts are increasingly awarding limited damages against individual file-sharers, law firms representing movie companies and other IP holders have adopted a new business model where they instead sue entities that are “higher up the food chain”. One such entity is Hurricane Electric (HE) which provides backbone services to large internet-focused businesses including ISPs that have thousands of customers who are free to use their connections as they please. A law firm that represents the companies behind Rambo: Last Blood, London has Fallen, Dallas Buyers Club and other po[CENSORED]r films recently demanded that Hurricane hand over the personal details of its pirating customers. We've put together a list of the best VPN services on the market Secure your entire network with one of the best VPN routers Also check out our roundup of the best antivirus software In an amended complaint filed back in August, HE provided further insight on the business model movie companies are now using to target its business instead of individual consumers, saying: “HE is informed and believes and based thereon alleges that multiple Defendants, many of which share the same addresses, managing agents, and/or agents for service, are copyright assertion entities in the business of generating income primarily from threats of infringement lawsuits against legitimate technology companies that have nothing to do with any alleged infringements by unnamed end users of Internet connections.” Targeting a Hurricane Electric customer Although the main case against HE is still in progress, a third-party complaint made by Killing Link Distribution recently appeared on the docket targeting the ISP Sophidea Inc. which is one of Hurricane's customers. According to the complaint, the ISP operates a VPN service through HE that enables its customers to access the internet via HE IP addresses. Killing Link claims that users of Sophidea's VPN service accessed “illicit notorious piracy websites” in order to download and share pirated movies. Instead of seeking damages, the third-party compliant sought preliminary and permanent injunctions to prevent Sophidea from continuing to provide customer access to known pirating sites. Less than a day after the compliant was filed, a new document appeared on the docket revealing that the two companies had come to a new agreement. To conclude the lawsuit, Sophidea will now block access to the Pirate Bay, RARBG, 1337x, fmovies, YTS, Cimaclub and other known torrenting sites. However, Killing Link will also be able to update the block list with new pirate sites found liable for infringement in a US court. Not only does torrenting films hurt movie studios but doing so could also infect your devices with malware and other viruses.

  6. Full-Size Raspberry Pi-Powered Bartop Arcade Is Entirely 3D Printed With enough patience and filament, you can print anything. In a world of tabletop arcades, this DIY bartop arcade cabinet seriously stands out. This awesome Raspberry Pi project was designed and 3D printed by James from the YouTube channel Print 'N Play. You may remember Print 'N Play from when we featured the channel in August for its 3D-printed folding case for the Raspberry Pi. The cabinet case we're looking at today is completely original. Using Autodesk Fusion 360, everything had to be designed from scratch, including the Raspberry Pi mounting panel, ventilation holes and space for input peripherals. The case was designed as a single unit, then broken into pieces that are just large enough to print on a 3D printer bed. Each piece is designed to fit into place using pegs. The final design is huge and uses a widescreen display. It's a two-player setup with a pair for joysticks and LED-backlit arcade buttons featuring a blue and red color scheme. There are also two top-mounted speakers in the top of the cabinet. Everything is driven by a Raspberry Pi 4 running RetroPie. If you want to see the build process and what the final result plays like, check out the official Print 'N Play channel on YouTube, and be sure to explore our list of Best Raspberry Pi Projects for more cool creations from the maker community.

  8. Epic Is Giving Away 15 Free Games For Christmas Starting Next week The first of these free games at the Epic Games Store will be available next Thursday. Epic already gives away free games every week, but starting next Thursday, you'll be able to snag a freebie every day. To celebrate the holidays, the Epic free games program is kicking into high gear with 15 free games in 15 days. Epic ran a similar promotion last year featuring 12 free games. All you need to take part in the holiday giveaways is a free Epic account. At this time, it's unclear which games will be featured in the promotion. The first "mystery" game goes live on December 17 at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET. If Epic follows the same formula as last year, we'll know what the next free game will be a day in advance. However, there's a chance each free game will be a mystery right up until it unlocks. That's exciting, too! Well, it's exciting as long as the games are worthwhile. We would expect to see some great games in the promotion. Last year, wonderful indies such as Into the Breach, Celeste, Ape Out, and Superhot were included in the holiday promotion. Make sure to check back next week, as we'll update this article with the freebies as they are revealed. In addition to giving away free games, Epic will be hosting a holiday sale starting next week, which will likely be filled with steep discounts on hundreds of games. In the meantime, don't forget to snag the free games that are available until December 17. Right now, Epic is giving away two great Obsidian RPGs: Pillars of Eternity: Definitive edition and Tyranny: Gold edition.

  9. Cyber Prusa: The Official Cyberpunk 3D Printer Mod by Prusa Need more Cyberpunk? Print some! If you're a fan of Prusa printers, you're going to love this amazing Cyberpunk-themed mod. The project was thought-up and delivered entirely by the team at Prusa. The mod is completely custom, featuring an original Cyberpunk-themed design mod for the Original Prusa i3 MK3S+ 3D printer. The team went well above and beyond to do much more than a simple paint job. The mod features beautiful 3D-printed assets with edgy, angular shapes. All of the components have been painted bright yellow and blue with rusty edges for a gritty yet sleek Cyberpunk design. Everything from the frame to the extruder has been doused with a good dose of Cyberpunk aesthetic. Even the nozzle fan was fitted to use a custom grill with the Cyberpunk logo on it. The motors and cable housing have been painted, as well. Absolutely everything pops--especially the heated bed, which glows with the help of some LED strips. Best of all, everything was designed so users can still disassemble the printer for general maintenance. If you want to create this project at home, you can download the files from Prusa and print them yourself. Check out the full blog post for more details and pictures of the assembly process.

  10. This GoPro Hero 9 deal expires tonight – get it at a reduced price while you can The GoPro Hero 9 Black bundle is $100 / £100 until midnight The GoPro Hero 9 Black is one of the best action cameras you can buy – and an even sweeter purchase thanks to a deal that reduces the price and throws in some extras. Expiring tonight, the GoPro Hero 9 is $100 off in the US and £100 off in the UK at the official GoPro.com store. The normal MSRP / RRP for this action camera costs $449 / £429, but it can be had for $349 / £329 until midnight PST (GoPro HQ's local time). What's more is that this deal throws in an extra battery and a 64GB microSD card. In the US you can add the Hero 9 Black dual battery charger which includes yet another spare battery for $34.99 (a $50 value and a no-brainer extr There is a caveat to this cheap GoPro deal, but one that still makes it worth the final price, according to our deals expertise. The special prices requires a one-year GoPro subscription. The service gets you unlimited cloud storage, total camera replacement and up to 50% off at the official GoPro store (think: buying fun GoPro accessories). This adds $49.99 / £49.99 to the total, but you're essentially getting it for free along with an extra battery and microSD card and still saving another $50 / £50 on the Hero 9 launch price that many people paid back starting on September 16.
