Sometimes (incorrectly) known as the European Car of the Year award, every year, every car released during the previous year is judged, before a final shortlist of seven cars is drawn up. Alongside Autocar, the other organisers are car publications from across Europe: Auto (Italy), Autopista (Spain), Autovisie (Netherlands), L'Automobile Magazine (France), Stern (Germany) and Vi Bilägare (Sweden). This year the shortlist comprises: BMW 1 Series, Ford Puma, Peugeot 208, Porsche Taycan, Renault Clio, Tesla Model 3, and Toyota Corolla. The winner of the latest award will be announced on March 2 2020. Will that car join the automotive greats? Supermodel Bella Hadid was among the victims of sexual harassment by Victoria's Secret executives. However, a newly emerged damning report by The New York Times suggests that they were suffering backstage due to "misogyny, bullying and harassment" culture in the po[CENSORED]r lingerie company and fashion show juggernaut, report aceshowbiz.com. The report details the alleged sexual misconduct by former Chief Marketing Officer Ed Razek, who reportedly made lewd comments about Hadid's breasts prior to the brand's annual televised fashion show in 2018. Razek reportedly was sitting on a couch in the same room where the 23-year-old supermodel was being measured. He then reportedly said: "Forget the panties." Later, Razek was said to have made a joke saying that the TV network would let Hadid walk "down the runway with those perfect" breasts. Additionally, the report claims that Razek touched another model inappropriately. Following the report, Razek has released a statement denying all allegations. He said: "The accusations in this report are categorically untrue, misconstrued or taken out of context. I've been fortunate to work with countless, world-class models and gifted professionals and take great pride in the mutual respect we have for each other." Neither Bella nor Victoria's Secret has commented on the report. Razek left his position in the company in August 2019 following backlash over his interview with Vogue. He landed in hot water after trying to justify the show's lack of inclusion of trasngender models because "the show is a fantasy". Doubling down his disastrous comments, he said of plus-size models: "We market to who we sell to, and we don't market to the whole world." He added, "We attempted to do a television special for plus-sizes (in 2000). No one had any interest in it, still don't."

Two officials in China have been removed from their posts after a teenager with cerebral palsy died when his father - and sole carer - was quarantined for suspected coronavirus. Yan Cheng, 16, was found dead on Wednesday, a week after his father and brother were placed in quarantine. The boy was fed only twice during this time, according to reports. Both the local Communist Party secretary and mayor in Huajiahe town have been dismissed over the case. Yan Cheng's story has been trending on social media websites. And other questions The family lived in China's central Hubei province, the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak. According to local media, the teenager's father had posted on Chinese social media platform Weibo appealing for help and explaining that his son had been left alone without food or water. Cerebral palsy is the name for a group of conditions that appear in early childhood, and affect movement and co-ordination. Symptoms vary, and can include tremors, stiff or weak muscles, problems swallowing, and trouble with vision, speech and hearing. Those affected may be severely disabled. Officials had previously announced that an investigation would be carried out into the boy's death. In China, 361 people have died of coronavirus and more than 17,000 cases of the virus have been confirmed. There have also been more than 150 confirmed cases of the virus outside China, including one death in the Philippines. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned the number of cases is likely to rise further, and Chinese authorities have introduced a number of measures to try to halt the virus's spread.
