  1. Barely a couple of months have passed since Audi unveiled the coupe-like body of its Q5, the so-called Audi Q5 Sportback. The German firm continues to "promote" this model, but now it releases all the data of the sports version, the Audi SQ5 Sportback TDI. You already know that many of the new models in the Audi S range have put gasoline engines aside for a new diesel engine. In the case of the Audi SQ5 Sportback there is no exception. Under its hood is a 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine. A Mild Hybrid with 700 Nm of torque The top-of-the-range Q5 Sportback family delivers 341 hp at full capacity. Meanwhile, its torque is 700 Nm, that is, huge, being available between 1,750 and 3,250 rpm. This, among other things, allows you to do 0 to 100 km / h in 5.1 seconds and obtain a limited top speed of 250 km / h. This diesel engine -which is the same as the current S4, S5, S6 and S7- has a micro hybrid system. The 48 volt mild hybrid system stores electrical energy in a small battery. Afterwards, it is used so that the car can circulate by inertia with the heat engine switched off for up to 40 seconds. It also moves the electric compressor and is responsible for starting the vehicle through the alternator generator. It goes without saying that, as in the rest of the brand's cars with this engine, it has an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. Nor is it missing the typical Audi stamp, which is none other than the quattro traction system with variable torque distribution. Optionally, a sports differential can be installed for the rear axle, which will give the model more agility. Audi SQ5 Sportback, more than an SUV As usual, the aesthetic changes are timid in this Audi SQ5 Sportback compared to the normal Q5 Sportback. The bumpers have some slight variations, but we did find a more marked diffuser with four simulated tailpipes, specific side skirts and differently designed wheels, among others. The standard wheels are 20 inches with 255/45 tires, hiding 375 mm discs and six-piston fixed aluminum calipers in the front end. Nor is it missing a sports suspension with 30mm lowered suspension. Another interesting option is the adaptive air suspension, which will change the hardness of the chassis depending on the driving mode selected in the drive select. The German brand states that the launch of the Audi Q5 Sportback and the Audi SQ5 Sportback will take place in the first half of next 2021, although it is not specified more specifically and their prices are not known at the moment. By the way, it is manufactured in Mexico together with the "normal" Q5 for everyone except for the Chinese market, which they produce themselves on the CKD line at the Changchun plant.

  2. And just as there are many causes, there are also many ways to help the digestive system function optimally. The nutritionists at The Real Food Dietitians give us 4 ways to improve digestion in a natural way. These are 4 ways to improve digestion 1. Change your eating habits: The way we eat has a great impact on the functioning of your digestive system. By changing certain habits it is possible to drastically improve digestion. For example: Eat in a relaxed atmosphere and focus only on eating, avoid eating when you are upset or in a bad mood, chew each bite of food very well before swallowing. The act of chewing is often one of the most overlooked steps in the digestive process, but it should not be taken lightly. 2. Hydrate yourself correctly: Water is very important for proper digestion. This helps digest solid food and properly absorb nutrients. But it is better to drink it between meals because if it is done when eating, the water dilutes the acid in the stomach and this is vital for good digestion. It is recommended to drink enough water every day and preferably plain water. An average person should consume 6 to 8 glasses of water a day. 3. Try probiotics: Probiotics are beneficial strains of bacteria that live in the digestive system. These bacteria do not cause disease but they do contribute to a healthy intestinal flora. Probiotics aid digestion by breaking down food, helping prevent infection, and reducing chronic inflammation. The main foods with probiotics are kefir, yogurt, sauerkraut, kimchi, and kombucha. 4. Eliminate artificial foods: Excess toxins in the body can cause digestive problems for many people. Eliminate foods that create inflammation in the body and add natural foods, which are more nutritious. Avoid artificial sweeteners as they have been shown to drastically alter the intestinal flora. Eat fewer processed foods as they are packed with artificial ingredients that provide no digestion benefit. In addition, preservatives can cause kidney and liver damage. Eliminate gluten and processed soy as these two foods tend to cause allergies.

  3. The American Moderna announced that it will present this Monday requests for emergency authorization for its vaccine against covid-19 in the United States and in Europe, after complete results confirmed its high efficacy (94.1%). Two weeks after announcing an efficacy of 94.5% based on preliminary results, Moderna reported that of 196 participants in its clinical trial who were infected with COVID-19, 185 belonged to the placebo group and 11 to the vaccinated group, with a calculated efficacy of 94.1%. This means that vaccinated people had their risk of contracting COVID-19 reduced by 94% compared to people who were not vaccinated, an efficacy similar to that of the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine (95%). No severe form of the disease was recorded in the vaccinated group, against 30 in the placebo group. Moderna reported that no new serious side effects were seen in the vaccinated volunteers, but did not explicitly say whether serious side effects were initially seen. On November 16, the company announced that the vaccine was "generally well tolerated" and had not raised "significant safety concerns." The most common reactions were not serious, such as pain around the injection site in the arm, fatigue, muscle stiffness, or headache. One participant in the clinical trial died, but was in the placebo group. Moderna reported that the observed efficacy of their vaccine was consistent across age, gender, and ethnicity. "This preliminary positive analysis confirms the ability of our vaccine to prevent Covid-19 with an efficiency of 94.1% and, significantly, the ability to prevent the severe form of Covid-19," said Stéphane Bancel, CEO of Modern The company will submit what is called in the United States an emergency authorization request to the Agency for Medicines (FDA), which is expected to convene its advisory committee on vaccines on December 17. This could allow, in case of a green light, a distribution in the following days. Moderna will also present a request for conditional use to the European Medicines Agency (EMA) on Monday. The Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine is already under evaluation by the FDA and could be licensed shortly after December 10.

  6. Fall, for many people, can be considered the saddest season of the year. However, for mushroom lovers it is the ideal time, as it is when they can give free rein to their mycological passion. If we follow this simile, we can see how from time to time car brands emerge that want to give the bell and become a reference. One of the latest examples is the Naran Hyper Coupé, a high-flying supercar. This name will not sound like you, not even close, since Naran Automotive's activity is incipient. However, it seems that out of nowhere they have developed a product that by design, technological capacity and muscle wants to compete with rivals from highly established firms. So much so that according to its creators the Naran Hyper Coupé is at the same height as the dreamed Aston Martin Vulcan or a whole McLaren Speedtail. Let's see if they deliver what they promise ... The 1,062 hp of the Naran Hyper Coupé comes from a 5.0L Twin-Turbo V8 block All things considered, the image of the Naran resembles that used by the latest Honda launches. The similarity can be found in the torn format of the headlights or front grill. But even there, because when we see them closely they have nothing to do with those used by the Japanese firm. In any case, we find very sharp lines and aerodynamic attachments everywhere to improve aerodynamic efficiency. As its surname indicates, we are before a coupe so the side and rear view are collected. What's more, we can say that they are even discreet for what is fashionable. In any case, its appearance is typical, replicating the following concepts. We have a low nose, wide bumpers with generous air intakes and finally a large spoiler that crowns a sporty diffuser. The exhaust vents give a hint of what is under your skin. Yes, because its engine (which is placed in the front-middle position) has been developed in conjunction with the German engineering company Racing Dynamics. We are talking about a 5.0-liter Twin-Turbo V8 block that delivers nothing more, and nothing less, than 1,062 hp of power and 1,036 Nm of maximum torque. This potential can go to all four wheels or, as it is becoming fashionable, it can also reach the rear axle. With such an engine, the performance is truly heart-stopping. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.3 seconds and can boast of reaching 1,377 kilos of aerodynamic force. Taking these characteristics into account, it is not surprising that only 49 units are going to be manufactured at a price close to one million euros. It will be necessary to see if they manage to reach a successful port or if they are "stranded" on the road.

  7. To achieve an adequate weight and protect health above all, miracle diets are not the solution but we need a real change in habits. Therefore, today we show you seven eating habits to have a healthy diet and say goodbye to diets once and for all. Organize grocery shopping It all starts with a good purchase, because what we have at home is what we finally eat. For this reason, it is essential to make an organized food purchase, that is, to plan what we need and limit ourselves to a list, not to go shopping hungry but rather after having eaten, and to always buy more fresh food, being very useful for this to do purchase in the market. On the other hand, if we go to the supermarket for some healthy products or that at least take place in a balanced diet, it is best to look at the food labeling before buying, observing in detail not only the nutritional information but also the list of ingredients and other useful information such as serving size for example. Cook more at home In addition to shopping, cooking is key if we want to eat healthier and thus achieve a true change in habits, therefore, we can start by learning to make simple preparations such as omelets, salads, or stir-fries and soon we will realize how much our diet can change cooking at home. We will know exactly what we eat, we can balance the daily menu if we organize the meals ourselves and if we plan well, we will not have to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, but the best thing, we can make caloric dishes much healthier, such as breaded and battered or the so loved croquettes. At Vitónica we have a variety of simple healthy recipes to put into practice and benefit not only your diet but also your pocketbook. Control portions In a restaurant or in fast food places, the portions have been increasing notably over time, in such a way that they are considered one of the causes of the obesity pandemic. We tend to eat everything they serve us, we are "completers", so serving the dish before bringing it to the table and doing it with less food can be of great help. Likewise, not eating from the container, avoiding distractions, and other tricks can be very useful when controlling portions and achieving a diet with adequate amounts, which benefits the health of the body. Choose water as your usual drink Liquids do not produce the same satiety as solids, so if we choose drinks with calories such as sugary soft drinks or juices we can be adding energy without realizing it and without benefiting our health at all, but quite the opposite. Being well hydrated can promote weight control and if we replace calorie drinks with water, the quality of our diet will undoubtedly improve as well as, we can effortlessly produce a remarkable weight loss. For this reason, a good habit to incorporate into the diet is to drink water regularly and leave natural juices and smoothies only for special moments and occasions, that is, low frequency. Chew every bite well Once the food is prepared and served, we recommend that you enjoy each bite that enters your mouth to the fullest and at the same time, promote satiety with its consumption by chewing each piece of food well. Correct chewing not only satisfies but also helps to digest and enjoy what we eat more, which is why it is always beneficial for the achievement of a healthy and conscious diet. In order to chew more, we recommend choosing hard foods that, in addition to being crunchy, like us, such as nuts and seeds or dishes that contain them, fresh and skinned fruits, whole grains and al dente, which are always firmer than refined ones, among others. Includes satisfying foods To stimulate satiety and thus better control what we eat, it is helpful to choose foods rich in water, fiber or protein for our regular diet. Foods rich in water such as fruits and vegetables or preparations such as soups, jellies and the like are filling because they offer a lot of volume, but without many calories. On the other hand, foods rich in fiber are satisfying because they require more digestive work and frequently require chewing, while proteins help to satiate us in many ways and are key when we seek to lose weight. Thus, choosing whole grains, legumes, fresh fruits and vegetables, egg whites, lean meats and fish to add to the usual diet can be the key to filling up easily. Self-assess diet Daily self-control is always helpful in different aspects of our life and food could not be different, therefore, knowing our diet, keeping track of what we eat and always trying to improve as much as possible is key to eating healthier at once and forever. To achieve this we can use a food diary or record everything consumed and drunk throughout the day, which at first we recommend doing it in writing and it can be cumbersome but after a few weeks we will do it mentally and without difficulty. This self-control implies, for example, knowing if we have spent in quantities in a meal and we must compensate afterwards as well as, if we have not consumed proteins during the day for example and we must go to a food or dish that contains them at the next intake. This last habit is what determines the achievement of a healthy and sustainable diet over time, because to self-evaluate we must have achieved a lot of knowledge and previous experience in achieving a better diet. Remember that changing habits takes time and therefore, we need perseverance every day, being able to start with one habit at a time and thus, finally achieve a healthy diet forever that allows us to say goodbye to diets in a definitive way.

  8. The mysterious "metal monolith" of unknown origin, whose recent discovery in a desert in the western United States sparked all kinds of speculation, has disappeared, local officials said Saturday. Utah's spatial planning office said it had received "credible testimony" that someone had removed the object Friday night. "The office did not remove the structure, which is considered private property," he said in a statement. "We do not investigate crimes related to private property, which depend on the local sheriff's office," he added. The triangular metal block, more than 3.5 meters high, was discovered in mid-November by local officials who were flying over the area in search of specimens of bighorn sheep. Upon landing to investigate, crew members from the Utah Department of Public Safety found the "metal monolith installed in the ground," but "no obvious indication" of who might have put it there. News of the find quickly went viral on the internet, and many noted the similarity of the object to the strange alien monoliths that unleashed huge advances in human progress in Stanley Kubrick's famous 1968 science fiction film "2001: A Space Odyssey." Although officials refused to reveal the location of the object for fear that hordes of onlookers would approach the place, an internet race was soon launched to find its location, with the help of the surrounding geological formations. Some claimed to have located the site. Some observers pointed to the resemblance of the object to the avant-garde work of John McCracken, an American artist who lived for a time in the neighboring state of New Mexico and died in 2011. His son, Patrick McCracken, recently told the New York Times that his father told him in 2002 that he would love to "leave his works in lost environments to be discovered later." And earlier this week, David Zwirner, McCracken's legal representative, said the mysterious "monolith" may be the work of the artist. "The gallery is divided about it," he said, admitting that he himself is "persuaded" that the work is by McCracken and has not been discovered for almost 10 years.

  11. If there is a firm that has a good reputation in the development and manufacture of off-road vehicles, it is Nissan. The Japanese house has been offering models for years that have known how to satisfy the needs of those who need to reach the end of the world. One of the most legendary and recognized by the public is the Terrano, although over the years its range has evolved. The proof is in the launch of the new Nissan X-Terra. If you do a bit of memory you must remember the Terra. We already talked to you about this all-terrain some time ago, but now we must mention it. The reason for this is very simple: X-Terra and Terra are very close. So much so, that the new one is the evolution of the old one although its commercial name has changed slightly. But be careful, it has nothing to do with the Xterra that was sold five years ago, since its platform is that of the current Navara. Nissan X-Terra shares genes with current generation Navara If we look at the image of the Nissan X-Terra we see how those responsible have adapted the latest aesthetic code of the brand. Thus we find some revised optical groups that, inside, adopt LED technology. The V-Motion front grille is more aggressive and bold, adopting lots of chrome for garnish. The bumper also assumes more solid and marked lines, especially in the lower bumper and anti-fog zone. The side view maintains much of the lines that defined the Terra. The main changes that it assumes are in the addition of new alloy wheels or various trims. Finally we must take a look behind. Here if there is a greater evolution, as it adopts optical groups that, as in the front ones, integrate LED technology. Another change is found in the location and size of the X-Terra logo that passes to the center of the gate. Inside you can see that technology and connectivity have evolved a lot. And not only that, because the configuration of the dashboard is very current. Thus, we can see how it adopts a new central touch screen of 11 inches (in low middle position) or a cooler and more intuitive instrument panel. Nor can we ignore the position and design of controls such as the climate control or the steering wheel. Regarding the interior capacity, it maintains a cabin enabled for six passengers. Also, as in the new Note e-POWER, it includes Zero Gravity seats to reduce fatigue. Finally, the mechanical range is made up of the 2.5-liter gasoline block that develops 165 hp and 241 Nm of maximum torque. The 4WD all-wheel drive with locking rear differential will not be lacking as well as the Hill Descent Control or Hill Start Assist systems.

  12. The relationship between food and sport is essential to achieve performance and improve the results of your exercise routines. Diet and exercise go hand in hand, as what you eat and when you eat can greatly influence how you feel about exercising. Dr. Eric J. Olson, a Mayo Clinic Specialist Nutritionist, shares these 5 tips on eating and exercising to help you get better results and optimize the energy your body has for training. 1. A healthy breakfast: If you do physical activity in the morning, get up a little earlier so you can eat breakfast at least an hour before exercising. You must be well fed to train. According to studies, eating or drinking carbohydrates before doing physical activity can improve the performance of your routines and exercise for longer or with greater intensity. If you don't eat, you may feel drained or dizzy while exercising. If you plan to do physical activity within the first hour after eating breakfast, it is best to eat or drink something light, such as a sports drink. Contrary to what many think, consuming carbohydrates helps us improve performance and have maximum energy. It is also advisable to include in a good breakfast: *Cereals or whole grain breads *Low-fat milk *Juice *A banana *Yoghurt *A pancake Remember that if you usually drink coffee in the morning, you can have a cup before exercising. Try not to try food or drink for the first time before doing physical activity, you risk having an upset stomach. 2. Size matters Try to eat the right portion of food before exercising. Large meals should be eaten at least three to four hours before physical activity. Small meals or snacks are recommended and should be eaten one to three hours before exercising. Eating too much before exercising can leave you feeling heavy and sleepy. If you eat too little, you may not have the energy you need to sustain yourself. During the exercise routine, a midpoint is ideal. 3. Good snaks It is advisable for some people to eat a small snack just before or during physical activity. The key is to test how you feel. Do what works best for you. Snacks you eat before you exercise probably won't give you more energy if your exercise routine lasts less than 60 minutes, but they can keep you from being distracted by hunger. If your exercise routine lasts more than 60 minutes, it might be a good idea to consume a food or drink with a lot of carbohydrates to boost your exercise. Here are some examples of healthy snacks: *An energy bar *A banana, apple, or other fresh fruit *Yoghurt *Fruit shake *A whole wheat bagel or crackers *A low-fat granola bar *A peanut butter sandwich *Diluted juice or sports drink It is important to eat healthy snacks, especially if you plan to train several hours after eating. 4. Food after exercise To help the muscles recover and replenish energy reserves, it is recommended to eat two hours after training, a meal that contains carbohydrates and protein. The following are good options for after your exercise routine: *Yogurt and fruits *A peanut butter sandwich *Low Fat Chocolate Milk Pretzel *Recovery shake for after training *Turkey on whole wheat bread with vegetables 5. Hydration Don't forget to drink fluids. You should drink the right amount before, during, and after exercising to prevent dehydration. In order to stay well hydrated while exercising, the American College of Sports Medicine recommends the following servings: *Drink approximately 2 or 3 glasses (between 473 ml and 710 ml) of water between two and three hours before training. *Drink about 1/2 to 1 cup (118 to 237 milliliters) of water every 15 to 20 minutes while you exercise. Adjust the amounts based on your body size and the weather. *Drink 2 to 3 cups (473 milliliters to 710 milliliters) of water after exercising for every pound (0.5 kg) of weight you lose during exercise. In general, water is the best way to replace lost fluid. However, if you exercise for more than 60 minutes, have a sports drink, because that can help maintain the balance of electrolytes in your body and give you a little more energy, as they contain carbohydrates. Keep in mind that the duration and intensity of your activity will determine what you should eat and drink, for example, you will need more energy to run a marathon than to walk a few miles. When it comes to eating and exercising, everyone is different. Pay attention to how you feel during your exercise routine and let your experience guide you in knowing which eating habits are best for you before and after each workout.

  13. The coronavirus test numbers that have guided much of the U.S. response to combatting the pandemic are set to be erratic in the coming week, experts said this week, with fewer people being tested over the holiday and testing sites with shorter hours. The result could be a potential drop in reported infections that would offer the illusion that infections are easing when, in reality, the numbers will say little about how the country is doing in the fight against coronavirus. The number of people who have tested positive in the country surpassed 13 million on Friday, Johns Hopkins University said. "I hope people don't misinterpret the numbers and believe that there was not a big increase as a result of the Thanksgiving holiday and consequently make plans for Christmas, Hanukkah and other trips," said Dr. Leana Wen, professor at George University. Washington and an ER doctor. A similar pattern occurs on the weekends. As some testing centers, laboratories and state offices are closed on Saturdays and Sundays, coronavirus cases often drop on Sundays and Mondays, but rise on Tuesday. Dr. Mark Rupp, professor and chief of infectious diseases at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, said the effect of the holiday will almost certainly be a magnified version of the weekend numbers. Thursday's holiday is going to exacerbate discrepancies in numbers over the Thanksgiving weekend, deceptively lowering reported figures for four and five days before skyrocketing, once test results are level. normal. Johns Hopkins University reported a spike to more than 2 million tests a few days before Thanksgiving, when people were preparing to travel, but that number dropped to less than 1.2 million tests on Thanksgiving. . That latest figure, as well as the numbers of positive cases, which had fallen by a third on Friday, could be adjusted as more results are known. Experts fear how people might interpret the situation after the long weekend, especially if it takes several weeks before the effects of exposure to the virus during the holiday are reflected in the data.

  16. Peugeot surprised at the beginning of 2019 with a very sporty plug-in hybrid prototype. In addition, it was created by the competition and high-performance subsidiary Peugeot Sport. At the beginning of this 2020 it was confirmed and they showed us the production model: the Peugeot 508 Sport Engineered. Available in both 508 bodies (saloon and SW station wagon), the Peugeot 508 Sport Engineered combines the efficiency of plug-in hybrid mechanics for everyday use, with high performance. So much so that we are faced with an all-wheel drive model with no less than 360 hp. This sports saloon combines a PureTech 200 petrol engine with two electric motors, located at the front and rear. As we said, it is a four-wheel drive model and its combined power reaches 360 hp. Meanwhile, its maximum torque is no less than 520 Nm. This allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 5.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km / h. And all this with CO2 emissions of 46 g / km. Thanks to its electric autonomy of 42 kilometers in "zero emissions" mode, it benefits in our country from the DGT environmental label Zero. Logically, everything has a price. The Peugeot 508 Sport Engineered is available from 62,200 euros for the saloon body, having to pay 1,200 euros more if we want to opt for the SW family variant. Best of all, the French signature of the lion makes it clear that this is just the beginning. More cars tuned by Peugeot Sport and with electrified systems will arrive on the market soon. When and what models will they be? The company has not wanted to advance more details, but we do not doubt that soon we will know much more.

  17. Today we handle a huge amount of information. So much so that it is very easy to get lost in the meantime. What's more, there are those who use this gibberish of language for their own benefit, confusing the consumer. Today we do a little review of all those words that we will ever meet if we go in search of a healthy diet. About food and its substances Let's start talking about things that we eat, that we will find in the supermarket, in a conversation, reading a table of ingredients ... These terms are directly associated with the substances that make up food. Macronutrients: this name is known to fats, proteins and carbohydrates (sugars), misnamed carbohydrates. They are called macronutrients because they are the major components of our diet, present in much greater amounts than the rest of the nutrients. Micronutrients: as the name suggests, unlike the previous ones, these are present in much less quantity. But that does not mean that they are less important. On the contrary, a deficit in these substances, which are minerals, trace elements and vitamins, basically, can cause a serious disruption in our health. Dietary fiber: these substances, of vegetable origin in almost 100% of cases, can be soluble or insoluble. Fibers are very important in the diet, and it is recommended to eat at least 25 grams of them every day to improve intestinal transit and protect the intestinal microbiota. They also help you lose weight, among many other benefits. Sugars: they are known in this way, generically, to all carbohydrates. Sugar, sucrose, is a sugar. But not all sugars are sugar, confusingly enough. Among sugars we find energetic ones such as fructose, glucose, galactose, lactose ... these are simple sugar molecules (like glucose) or combinations of these (sucrose is a mixture of fructose and glucose). Many of the fibers are also complex sugars that cannot be digested. For this reason, many foods can contain a certain amount of sugar even if they are not free. Free sugar: the question is simpler than it seems. Free sugar is one that is not associated with the rest of the biological components, such as fibers. These prevent the rapid assimilation of sugar into the blood. When we eat added sugar, we are taking free sugar. But this also happens with natural juices, although to a lesser extent, since we break the structural component of the fruit. Free sugar kicks blood sugar levels up, raising blood sugar. Non-caloric sweeteners: unlike sugars, non-caloric sweeteners produce a sweet taste but do not contain energy to assimilate due to their composition. Among them are substances of various chemical nature, including some sugars. The most famous are aspartame, cyclamate or saccharin. About the food itself The food itself has its own section. Much of the terminology is associated with a myriad of confusing concepts used by the industry to its advantage and sometimes at the expense of the consumer. But words mean what they mean and nothing else. Natural: a natural food is one that has not been processed. This means that it is as it comes from nature with minimal mani[CENSORED]tion that does not change its properties. Natural foods can be cooked, at which point they are processed. Processed: When cooked, treated or prepared, food falls into the category of processed. Ultra-processed: the ultra-processed, however, are those foods that have undergone a treatment that greatly modifies their nature. Substances are added or removed from ultra-processed products to change their palatability, structure and duration. Many times they lose nutritional properties or the bioavailability of their nutrients as a result of industrial ultra-processing. Good processed: on the contrary, if the procedure is respectful with the food, adds few substances of questionable quality and the result maintains the nutritional properties as far as possible, the processing is known as "good processing". There is a wide variety of these foods in the supermarket. Bio, Eco ..: organic products, also known as "natural", bio, etc., refer colloquially to a series of foods, although not all of them can be classified as such. Organic or bio foods are determined according to the legislation to meet certain characteristics. The names "natural", "traditional" and the like have a much more diffuse origin and are not regulated, although they are used interchangeably and do not really guarantee anything at all. Light: from the entry of non-caloric sweeteners, "light" or low sugar and fat products appear. These products try to replace these substances with others that do not provide energy and, supposedly, help maintain health. For the moment, its usefulness is in question. Although the premise is very simple, nutrition is a very complex thing and there are several reasons to justify that these products do not deliver what they promise. Food additive: a series of added substances are called thus, as their name indicates, to achieve a specific objective: a certain consistency, flavor, keeping them longer ... There are many additives, some of "natural" origin and others artificial. but all regulated. Preservative: these additives are intended to ensure the health of a food, avoiding infections or microbiological problems in perishables. Safe: a safe food is one that is suitable for consumption within the values and time ranges determined by the industry and endorsed by the food safety authority. This security is certified and has an associated quality and traceability system. In other words, a safe food can be eaten without fear of a food problem under normal conditions. Healthy: a healthy food is one that improves or helps our health. Everything that is out of this tonic we cannot include as a healthy diet. That means that not all safe foods fall into the healthy category. Food supplements: these substances are ingested outside of the normal diet and are designed to solve nutritional deficiencies from the diet. The best known food supplement is vitamin B12. However, not all are well regulated or helpful. Food supplements: the main problem with regulation is that supplements are food supplements. However, in the United States, for example, there is a clear differentiation. The supplements, unlike supplements, do not have to solve a deficit, but can serve to increase a substance already present, they can be food in themselves, and their objective is to reinforce the diet, not supplement it. About healthy life Let's quickly review some of the more fleeting concepts we are faced with. These terms are the result of growing knowledge about health and nutrition, and are often not fully understood. Healthy Living: This is not some baseless and utopian ethereal concept, as many pretend to assume. The healthy lifestyle is one that, as its name suggests, opts for healthy habits that enhance and improve our health. A healthy lifestyle, that is, following these habits, helps to extend hope and quality of life, as has been proven on numerous occasions. A healthy lifestyle differs from specific diets and remedies in that it is a fundamental, natural and progressive change that accompanies us for a long period of our lives. Healthy habits: among these, to achieve a healthy lifestyle, is eating better, with a healthier diet that contains more fibers, more water, more fruits and vegetables, less animal products, less or no sugar, fat from good quality, no ultra-processed ... It also includes increasing physical effort, which can be done in many ways. Physical exercise: exercise or training refers to an activity of medium or high intensity. It can be a regular or sporadic workout, but it is always of a certain intensity. The WHO advises some physical exercise a week for a number of health benefits. Physical activity: on the other hand, a healthy life does not only include physical exercise, although it recommends it. We can also settle for an increase in daily physical activity. This also has benefits and they are included within a healthy lifestyle: dancing, walking, climbing stairs ... in short, moving more is something very positive.
