NVIDIA is reportedly readying a new series of GeForce RTX 2060 graphics cards that might feature 8 GB GDDR6 memory. The report comes from PCGamesN who have found traces of 8 GB variants of the GeForce RTX 2060 graphics cards within listings on EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission). It might seem to indicate that NVIDIA is trying to clear away inventory of its mainstream cards prior to the launch of its next-generation GeForce GPUs. NVIDIA Reportedly Prepping An 8 GB Variant of The Turing Based GeForce RTX 2060 Graphics Cards NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 2060 has seen a couple of variants with the most recent being the RTX 2060 SUPER which was released officially by NVIDIA and the KO variant which was more of a AIB specific variant from EVGA with toned down costs. Historically, NVIDIA's mainstream 106/116 dies featured slightly lower VRAM compared to the higher-end parts but with the RTX 2060 SUPER, they updated the card with 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM rather than just 6 GB on the standard variant. It looks like NVIDIA AIBs are working on updating the standard variants with 8 GB GDDR6 memory too. According to the EEC listing, there are at least three variants that have been spotted. The trio of cards are from ASUS and include the following variants: ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 2060 EVO Gaming 8 GB ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 2060 EVO Gaming 8 GB ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 2060 EVO Gaming Advanced 8 GB What AIBs are doing here is equipping the GeForce RTX 2060 with 8 GB of memory instead of just 6 GB. The core configuration of the GeForce RTX 2060 8 GB graphics cards lineup is likely to remain untouched with the TU106 GPU core featuring 1920 CUDA cores and 14 Gbps memory dies but the bus interface would get a bump to 256-bit instead of 192-bit. In that case, we are looking at 448 GB per second bandwidth on the RTX 2060 SUPER with 8 GB VRAM. With the recent price cut on the RTX 2060 graphics cards, we would be looking at around $330 to $350 US asking price for the 8 GB variants since the SUPER variant start at $400 US. This could be a possible inventory clear up of older TU106 GPUs that are in the hands of AIBs prior to the launch of NVIDIA's next-generation GeForce graphics cards or an AIB specific launch since EVGA released its own KO series with much lower price points than the rest of the 2060's available out in the market. The variant will still be competing against the Radeon RX 5600 XT 6 GB which offers higher GPU/graphics performance than the standard RTX 2060 but an 8 GB memory might give the RTX 2060 a slight edge at higher resolutions, that is if it has the core performance to run those titles at the said resolution. There's no available launch date but we might get to see the new 8 GB RTX 2060 graphics cards in a couple of months.

A open-source reimplementation of Silverlight has been released. OpenSilver is a modern, plugin-free, open-source version of Microsoft’s Silverlight solution that runs on current browsers via WebAssembly. The team explained that while Microsoft Silverlight has enabled developers to build rich Internet apps using C#, XAML, and .NET, browsers have stopped supporting plugins. As a result, many Silverlight applications no longer work. In addition, Microsoft is thinking about ending support for Silverlight after 2021. OpenSilver is meant to bring C#, XAML and .NET back to client-side web development. The project can be used to create new applications or modernize existing Silverlight applications. The apps created with OpenSilver will be compatible on browsers that support WebAssembly, which currently includes major browsers and platforms like Edge, Chrome, Safari, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux and ChromeOS. “When an application is compiled using OpenSilver, it runs on all those browsers without requiring users to install a plugin,” the team wrote in a post. “Existing Silverlight applications need to be recompiled with OpenSilver in order to run on those browsers.” OpenSilver is currently in a technology preview, which covers about 60% of the Silverlight API. The team is currently working on supporting Open RIA Services and Telerik UI for Silverlight. It will also be updated in sync with Blazor and Mono for Web Assembly

Santiago de Chile, 22 de Agosto del 2019, y antes de conocer el nuevo S60 escudriñemos un poco en la historia reciente de la marca. Volvo fue creada en 1927 y siempre ha sido considerada una marca innovadora –desde sus inicios- y muy preocupada por la seguridad de los ocupantes, de hecho fue la primera en equipar sus automóviles con un adminiculo extraño en esa época, llamado: Cinturón de Seguridad, una innovación que ellos inventaron y que hoy es una norma mundial. Tampoco es un secreto que Volvo ha tenido altas, bajas y una época muy oscura en donde su prestigio fue seriamente mermado por la calidad de sus productos, esa época fue cuando Ford Motor Company era dueña de la mayor parte de las acciones de Volvo. El fabricante estadounidense vendió Volvo a un conglomerado industrial chino en 2010 y desde entonces empezaron muchas especulaciones en torno a Volvo. Los escandinavos se pusieron a trabajar con los fondos provistos por Zhejiand Geely Holding Group, mejor conocido como Geely y diseñaron una estrategia para renovar todo su abanico de productos de cara a la reconquista de mercados y clientes que se sintieron defraudados en la época de Ford. Ahora si, conozcamos el S60 de tercera generación, y para ello volamos a Santiago de Chile, en donde pudimos convivir por varias decenas de kilómetros con el vehículo, en condiciones de uso citadino –con horas de denso tránsito- realizamos un recorrido por autopistas chilenas, que vale la pena mencionar tienen el nivel de las europeas para terminar la prueba con varios ejercicios en el autódromo de Codegua. Manejamos el Volvo S60 alrededor de 130 kilómetros, desde Santiago hasta el Autódromo Internacional de Codegua, y luego pudimos rodar en la pista con pocas restricciones. En el trayecto manejamos en zonas con denso tránsito citadino, en donde pudimos constatar lo intrusivo de los sistemas de asistencias, y gracias a ello, mi colega y yo nos pusimos a investigar cuales de ellas se podían desconectar, por ejemplo la alerta de cambio de carril no es totalmente desconectable, pero se pueden atenuar las alertas de vibración en el volante, y todo ello se puede accionar desde la pantalla central y cuando uno no está famliarizado con el sistema es poco intuitivo y confuso, cuando uno ya se aprendió el camino es muy amigable, y simple de usar. El desempeño en autopista es completamente satisfactorio y el motor turbocargado, ojo solamente es turbo, no tiene un supercargador adicionado como la XC60. Nos brinda aceleraciones contundentes y parejas, la suspensión filtra muy bien y el desempeño del sistema de frenos es impecable, en el trazo de la pista de Codeua las cosas fueron un poco distintas, ya que el vehículo no tiene la orientación, ni la preparación para la pista, entonces en lugar de brillar el desempeño, se resaltan los defectos, por ejemplo la distancia entre ejes, que resulta muy comoda en uso cotidiano, no es tan conveniente en un manejo de pista, pero como lo cometamos mi colega chileno y yo: El que quiere un coche para la pista no se fija en un vehículo de éste tipo y no con ello pretendo denostar los desempeños del S60 que me parecieron muy sobresalientes, solo que no está concebido para le manejo muy deportivo, que no hay que confundir con el manejo rápido, en esas asignaturas el S60 pasa con calificaciones sobresalientes. Conclusión Definitivamente Volvo está retomando su lugar entre las marcas Premium, tiene una ferrea competencia con los sedanes alemanes del mismo segmento y tamaño, además se suman las opciones de lujos de los japones. En México la marca planea comercializar 400 vehículos en lo que resta del año 2019.

After a short countdown, squadmates will be redeployed into drop pods above your target area, allowing you to crack a rival Empire’s stubborn base defense, or move quickly across the map and respond to an incoming threat. A.N.V.I.L. Use the Advanced Nanite Vehicle Insertion Logistics system to airdrop a ground vehicle of your choice on demand! Like Steel Rain, the A.N.V.I.L. drop location can be set via waypoint, perfect for reinforcing a defensive push, or mobilizing an offensive force. Orbital Satellite Uplink Outfits now have the ability to call in an Orbital Strike on any target location! Use it to deter an enemy's advancing armor column, or clear that dug-in mountaintop. All War Assets take time and resources to craft, and Outfit leaders will have the ability to grant privileges to other Outfit members to craft and/or deploy these Assets to help turn the tides of battle. OUTFIT WARS: A NEW COMPETITIVE ENDGAME A wormhole has opened in the skies above Auraxis, and only the best and bravest Outfits are taking the opportunity to fight for (and claim!) the lands and glory that surely lie beyond... Welcome to Outfit Wars, soldier! Outfit Wars is a new tournament structure for competitive Outfits in PlanetSide 2. Outfits from every Empire and server region now have the opportunity to opt-in to a monthly Qualification cycle, before squaring off in epic GvGvG battles on Desolation, an all-new Asteroid continent built for competitive play. Outfits qualify for Outfit Wars by accruing resources in the main game, with the top Outfits from each region earning the right to represent their Empire on the field of glory. The first Outfit Wars "Alpha" preseason cycle kicks off this Friday, March 13, and we intend to continue balancing and refining the competitive structure as we head into future Outfit Wars seasons. OUTFIT LOYALTY AND MERIT Escalation introduces a new personal progression system for Outfit members that advances when you participate in successful capture or defense of bases with your Outfit mates. “Loyalty Rank” increases over time in a battle rank-style vertical progression, while "Merit" can be earned from completing meritorious actions with your Outfit. Merit acts as a currency which can be spent at Outfit Vendors in Sanctuary, while Loyalty Level will determine what kinds of items are available for purchase from those Vendors. SANCTUARY This update also brings the debut of Sanctuary, a new social hub for players of all Empires. Initially, Sanctuary will serve as a recruitment area for Outfit leaders, a trading space for new vendor NPCs, and a low-key relaxation zone for the war-weary. Sanctuary launches with the spacious Atrium area, as well as the Central Operations area. This environment will continue to expand as an in-game community space, and act as a foundation for future functionality. RESURGENCE BUNDLES In celebration of this massive update, we've restocked the Depot with valuable new Bundles to upgrade your arsenal!
