Apple Maps is sending alerts to international travelers, reminding them to self-quarantine. One of the notifications was received by Twitter user Kyle Seth Gray who posted a screenshot of it Thursday. The photo shows an iPhone push notification that came in after he spent time at an airport, the tweet said. "If you've traveled internationally recently, stay home and watch your health for 14 days," the digital notice says. It also includes a link to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website. The alerts are likely based on geo-location data, according to the Apple news platform 9to5mac. And it's consistent with guidance on the iPhone maker's COVID-19 website. U.S. TODAY reached out to Apple for more information on its travel alerts. The move is the latest coronavirus-related effort by the Cupertino, California-based company. In April, Apple pushed out Map updates to help customers find nearby health services. Apple and Google also joined forces to create contact tracing technology that can help people figure out if they've been exposed to the virus. Apple previously publicized restrictions on coronavirus-themed apps to cut down on the spread of misinformation. The CDC advises Americans to avoid all nonessential international travel in the wake of the pandemic. If you must leave the U.S. temporarily, the health organization says you should stay home for two weeks after you return to monitor your health. It also says you should practice social distancing and check your temperature two times a day to monitor for fever.

We have a very quintessential rumor on the alleged performance of the RTX 3090 with us today. A couple of credible leakers on twitter have commented that the performance of the upcoming NVIDIA RTX 3090 is shaping up to be as much as a 50% increase over the RTX 2080 Ti. According to the same, they expect the score in Time Spy Extreme benchmark to be close to 10,000 points. It is worth noting that a generous amount of salt is absolutely necessary with this delicacy of a rumor. NVIDIA RTX 3090 will allegedly score close to 10000 points in Time Spy Extreme benchmark While the leakers in question are very reliable and are people that successfully leaked the specs and nomenclature of NVIDIA's upcoming graphics cards, they have themselves stated that this is not concrete yet. The final clocks have not been decided but the expectation is that an increase of 50% is not out of the question! This is going to be a massive step up in performance that is likely driven not only by the node shrink but some impressive architectural upgrades as well. This means a score of over 9000! I am violating editorial policy by adding in GIFs but I think it would be criminal not to include this :] An NVIDIA RTX 2080 Ti for reference scores around 6300 points in Time Spy Extreme and a 50% increase over this amount would be 9450 points. If the card has *any* overclocking headroom, we should expect to see overclockers break the 10000 points barrier within days of the GPUs shipping to customers. Of course, NVIDIA could also decide to go with highly conservative clocks so it is advisable not to get too excited at this stage (till the final clocks are confirmed). As far as the leaks stand, it looks like NVIDIA is all set to keep the title of performance king and AMD's big Navi (according to leaks) will be slightly faster than an RTX 2080 Ti (although in typical AMD fashion should be surprisingly affordable). It is worth noting that at this level of performance, we might actually be able to hit the coveted 4K90 standard for VR headsets. The HP Reverb G2 for example has a resolution that is almost 2.5x of Oculus quest and this card would be able to run that like a champ. The shroud design of NVIDIA's upcoming series also leaked out a while back from a validation line and the company will be using a very cool looking aesthetic (should they choose to go with it). The introduction of an RTX 3090 is also a new and we expect part of the company's effort to distinguish its flagship from the usual successors. It does remain to be seen just how much NVIDIA will be charging for it. If this is based on older Turing pricing then it is going to cost an arm and a leg but we have a feeling that based on past experiences with RTX 2000 series cards, and Jensen's love for record quarters, they might actually decide to make it (relatively) more affordable.

According to the brand, its physical identity is now oriented towards a new horizon. Follow the simplest and most minimalist trends already seen in the new logos of brands such as BMW, Lotus or Volkswagen. Considering that every day we are more interconnected and remain immersed in the digital world, the Japanese manufacturer decided to redesign its traditional logo and redirect it more towards the virtual environment. This is a surprising measure, considering that Nissan is one of the most traditional brands in the use and management of its graphic identity. In the new logo, from which some details had already been leaked after the Ariya Concept unveiled last year, the company's name remains at the center, communicating an instantly recognizable brand, evoking past milestones and memories, at the same time that transmits an air of evolution. "The new Nissan logo comes to life as it turns into the future, while remaining proudly connected to its rich heritage and tradition of innovation," the official statement said. For the past 20 years, the Nissan logo has remained current and true to the philosophy of Yoshisuke Aikawa, founder of the brand, who associated it with the idea that "if you have a strong belief, it even penetrates into the sun." According to the brand, the redesign preserves this premise, but it was reinvented to reflect the significant changes in society over the past two decades. The Japanese manufacturer took advantage of the launch of the Nissan Ariya, its first electric crossover, to present its new image. Importantly, the brand's electric vehicles will feature an exclusive 20-LED illuminated logo, a figure that symbolizes the number of years that have been among the most recent logo redesigns. This is how the redesign was created The project began in mid-2017, when Alfonso Albaisa, senior vice president of Global Design, began to study potential changes to the Nissan logo and brand identity. A design team led by Tsutomu Matsuo, deputy director of Nissan's Design department, was organized to consider all alternatives, from subtle evolution to comprehensive redesign. The themes that inspired the redesign were science, technology and connectivity. The design team always had one of Aikawa's maxims as a mantra: “be passionate, innovative and challenging”. One of the great challenges was that an illuminated logo should be available for all future electric vehicles of the brand. This posed significant technical challenges, such as considering the thickness of the logo outline to ensure a sharp impression when illuminated, as well as taking into account regulations in the various markets. The full effect of the redesign is a transition from the industrial feel of solid edges to a refined, digital and familiar look.

At a global level "there are around US $ 130,000 million that governments have given to the (aeronautical) industry to survive this situation," said Cerdá. A large number of Latin American airlines will close if they do not resume flights in the coming weeks, in a region where public aid to the sector is minimal, warned a director of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). "If restrictions or border closings continue entering September or October, we have the possibility that a large majority of our airlines will begin to disappear in our region," said Peter Cerdá, IATA Vice President for the Americas. By that time, airlines would take six or seven months of inactivity, due to the closings decreed to try to contain the coronavirus pandemic, which makes it "very difficult" and "complicated" that they can "survive" that time, he added. Cerdá also pointed out that in Latin America and the Caribbean state aid to refloat the sector "has been practically nil" and therefore "we have the results that we have at the level of airlines closing" or restructuring. At a global level "there are around US $ 130,000 million that governments have given to the (aeronautical) industry to survive this situation," said Cerdá. Most of that aid, US $ 60,000 million, comes from the United States and "a large percentage of Europe", while only "1%" corresponds to public aid in Latin American countries, he said. However, Cerdá declared that the main aid that IATA requests from governments "is not monetary." The main request is that "central governments give the order to reactivate and restart air transport in our region" using biosecurity protocols, he said. To date, according to an AFP count, of the more than 17 million infections reported globally, Latin America and the Caribbean accumulates 4.6 million, the highest number of infections worldwide. In addition, it adds more than 192,000 deaths of the more 668,000 registered globally. According to IATA, in 2020 the global number of passengers is expected to decrease by 55% compared to 2019. In June, international air traffic contracted 96.8% compared to last year, while in Latin America and the Caribbean passenger demand sank 96.6%. IATA recently warned that global air traffic will have to wait four years to recover its levels prior to the viral pandemic.

A host of different services will now let you put a website online, quickly and easily, no coding skills required – but if you're looking for something to show off your talents as a musician then you need a more specific set of features. Primarily, a way of uploading and sharing your tunes in a simple and secure way, even if it's just snippets of songs rather than whole tracks or indeed albums. If you're a musician for hire then it can be useful to have some kind of booking system in place as well, or at least a contact form. On top of that, there are all the extras you might be interested in, like support for your own domain name or gallery pages to show just how many people came to your last gig. Here are our picks for the best website builder for musicians to create a presence online. 1. Bandzoogle Designed specifically for musicians You won't find too many website builder services aimed specifically at musicians, but Bandzoogle gleefully jumps in to provide a bespoke service specifically for bands and artists. While it lacks some of the polish of the big names, because it focuses on the musician niche in particular, it has everything you should need. That includes, of course, the ability to upload your own tracks and let visitors stream them from your website. You can get tracks organized into entire albums if you really want to go to town, or just share (or even sell) single tracks. And then, as well as that, you've got simple ways to post gig dates, blog updates, and so on. Whether you need to build a contact form or a video diary, Bandzoogle makes it easy, no coding required – you can really make a site that's as simple or as complex as you like, and the end result is something that looks like you hired a specialist. You've got over 100 themes to choose from (there is even one for crowdfunding), they're all straightforward to edit and tweak, and connecting up social accounts (including the likes of SoundCloud and Bandcamp) only takes a few clicks as well. As an added bonus, you can sell fan subscription, merchandise and tickets right through Bandzoogle as well. 2. Wix A great choice whatever the site Check out any list of website builders for any purpose and Wix is likely to feature on it, but not only does this service earn that high reputation, it also has some useful tools for musicians – not least the ability to upload your own tracks so visitors to your website can listen to them without any extra software or browser extensions. Platforms that you're probably already using, like Bandsintown and Songkick, can plug directly into your Wix site: you can set up integrations like these in just a few clicks. What's more, you can add on an e-commerce portal to your site, for the purposes of shifting albums, T-shirts, or whatever else you need to sell. Wix has a very solid selection of templates, with more than 500 to choose from, and if you delve into the music section you'll see there are options for solo artists, bands, DJs, producers, or anyone else connected to the industry. Have a click around these templates to see the kind of sites it's possible to create. After that you've got all the features Wix has become known for: a site editor that's a breeze to use whether or not you know what CSS stands for, custom domain name support, easy blogging and simple social media support, and a free tier that lets you work out whether Wix is for you before you part with any cash. 3. Music Glue Merchandise, tickets and much more Music Glue is a little different to the other website builder services we've featured here: it focuses first and foremost on the merchandise and ticketing aspects of the music business, and indeed powers the online stores for some of the biggest names in the industry. Its pricing system is unusual too, taking a 10% cut of whatever you sell rather than a flat fee. That does at least mean you won't be out of pocket if your online marketplace doesn't attract much attention to begin with. There are no additional fees for payment processing, and customers can rock up with debit or credit cards, or PayPal. Music Glue is less impressive on the website building side, although you do get the basics – a choice of themes for the site attached to your online shop, the option to bring over your own custom domain name, tools for tweaking the code and layout of your site, and so on. It's possible to plug in social media accounts and even set up a mailing list. If your priority is the mechanics of selling music and tickets to your audience, then Music Glue is a good bet, and has some very famous clients on its books, as we mentioned. If you don't really have anything to sell right now and want to spend more time fiddling with a site design and layout, then maybe look elsewhere. 4. Difymusic Focus on the music French site builder Difymusic isn't the most well-known service out there, and doesn't have the same breadth of tools and features as some of the big names – but where it really comes into its own is in getting your music online quickly and easily. If you'd rather just get your stuff up quickly with a few pictures and links, rather than spend ages choosing a theme and editing HTML, Difymusic could be for you. It relies on plug-ins – like Spotify or SoundCloud for getting your music up, for example – but it supports an awful lot of them, so you're bound to find something that works. If you want to sell merch and tickets, then you can pay to add that on your main site, with a one-time €9.99 setup fee (about £9 or $12) and then 5% commission based on sales, but the basics are free. Connect up your Facebook page and your YouTube channel and you're good to go in just a few minutes. Admittedly the choice of templates and editing options aren't very strong, but the designs you can play around with are decent enough, and certainly won't put anyone off your music. Difymusic lets you get started quickly, and scale up as required. 5. Tumblr Blogging with extras Tumblr isn't a website builder in the conventional sense – it's more of a half blogging, half social media platform – but if you take a longer look at what Tumblr has to offer, it's actual very appealing for musicians. For one thing, it's completely free to use, plus it already attracts a busy community of creatives. You can post up to one 10MB MP3 file every day, as well as links, text posts, videos, photos and more. Those MP3s appear as streamable files for visitors to your site – they can listen to the tunes in their browser, no plug-ins or extra software required, so it's a great way of showcasing your talents without paying anything. If Tumblr was simply a blogging platform and that was it, we probably wouldn't recommend the service, but it also supports pages alongside your blog (for a gallery or a contact form), custom domain names (so you can pay extra for whatever URL name you like), and posting from mobile apps too. On top of all that there are a host of themes to choose from, some of which cost money, but many are free, and a lot of them would suit a musician's portfolio. If the theme isn't exactly to your liking, you can tweak it with the integrated options or your own CSS, and switching between themes whenever you like is simple, too.

During its latest earnings call for the second quarter of 2020, AMD once again reaffirmed its plans to introduce Zen 3 based Ryzen 4000 Desktop CPUs and RDNA 2 based Radeon RX 'Navi 2X' GPUs in the second half of 2020. AMD stated that both its CPU and GPU products are on track and also provided an insight on its next-generation products featuring sub 7nm process nodes and launch in the coming years. AMD Ryzen 4000 'Zen 3' Desktop CPUs & Radeon RX Navi 2X 'RDNA 2' Desktop GPUs On Track For 2020 Launch AMD just posted its second all-time high revenue during Q2 2020 and the company revealed that the best is still yet to come. According to AMD's CEO, Dr.Lisa Su, AMD is on track to introduce two key products later this year. These include the client aimed Ryzen 4000 Desktop CPUs codenamed Vermeer which will be powered by the Zen 3 core architecture and the Radeon RX Desktop discrete graphics cards codenamed Navi 2X which will be powered by the RDNA 2 GPU architecture. AMD had also recently confirmed that Zen 3 based Ryzen 4000 desktop processors would mark the continuation of its high-performance journey. The Zen 3 architecture would be first available on the consumer desktop platform with the launch of the Vermeer family of CPUs that will replace the 3rd Gen Ryzen 3000 Matisse family of CPUs. In addition to Zen 3 based consumer CPUs, AMD also talked about its Zen 3 powered EPYC lineup codenamed Milan. The 3rd Generation EPYC Milan family is stated to be on track to ship later this year. A while ago, AMD confirmed that they have Zen 3 Ryzen 4000 CPUs running in their labs and now they are confirming that EPYC Milan CPUs are also looking good in the labs. While EPYC Milan will be a major driver for AMD in 2021, AMD still expects some huge wins with its existing 2nd Gen EPYC Rome CPUs. On that matter, AMD states that there are still a number of OEM and cloud-based platforms that are expected to launch in the second half of this year and during the first half of 2021. From the looks of it, EPYC Milan will start picking up momentum by the second half of 2021 as the company continues to work with its customers on Milan. AMD has also confirmed its first Zen 4 powered EPYC Genoa lineup to be introduced in the second half of 2021 and we can expect first shipments commencing by the end of 2021. There could be no AMD earnings call without discussing graphics and AMD's CEO has confirmed that its RDNA 2 and CDNA 1 GPUs are expected to launch later this year. AMD's CEO also termed RDNA 2 as Big Navi, once again highlighting the fact that we will get to see enthusiast-grade GPUs first before moving into the more mainstream stack. AMD has previously confirmed that the Big Navi GPU will be the first RDNA 2 product to launch this year and even before the launch of next generation of consoles. Lisa also stated that RDNA 2 isn't just aimed at the high-end market. It will be a full refresh from the top of the stack to the rest of the stack. This means that AMD is just aiming the enthusiast segment first and will introduce mainstream performance offerings within the first half of 2021.

[Auto] JAC T8 is presented in Peru: specifications and prices
Dr.Drako posted a topic in Auto / Moto
The new T8 is an evolution of the T6 pick up already presented by JAC. It offers a more modern appearance, greater equipment and features. JAC, presented last week in Peru, its new T8 pickup, which will be offered in two versions of traction with the same engine and the same level of equipment. This pick up is an evolution on the platform of the T6, improving many of its aspects, including ride comfort, interior finishes and aesthetic details. We were able to test this pick up in Chile at the beginning of the year. Changes in the new JAC T8 The new JAC T8 is technically a T6, but improved. The chassis and structure, as you can guess from the door design, is exactly the same, just like its engine. The gearbox was improved in its manufacturing quality, especially the synchronizers and lever actuation, the suspension calibration was revised, the wheels are larger and we have a disc brake system on the rear axle. In addition, the electronic management of the engine had a new preparation, so that the use of power and torque is more effective. JAC T8 Dimensions They are measures are discreetly larger than those of the T6, due to a more prominent front, with a new "shield" grille and new design lights, as well as fenders with plastic moldings. In the rear, the design of the rear lights and the one of the bumpers were changed, but these do not have much inference in the dimensions. Finishes, 18 "wheels and new running boards. Length: 5.32 meters Width: 1.88 meters Height: 1.83 meters Wheel base: 3.09 meters Clearance: 220mm (for both 4x2 and 4x4) Attack angle: 30.9 ° Departure angle: 23.3 ° The size of the loading hopper is maintained with respect to the T6, with a size of 1: 1 ratio between length and width, with 1,520 mm and 470 mm depth, but its loading capacity increases from 820 to about 900 kilos. It also offers plastic hooks on the outside, a protective coating and a double A (imitation anti-tip) sports bar. Interior and equipment of the JAC T8 Most notable inside, is undoubtedly the strong soundproofing work done, compared to the T6. The quality of the assemblies has improved remarkably, which we hope will not come loose very soon with use. The main console is technically the same as the T6, but it receives new aerators with aluminum-like finishes and a soft-touch padded plate with visible seams, which raise the level of perceived quality quite a bit. The rest is exactly the same, including the instrument panel with two clocks and a small screen for the on-board computer. The equipment of the Comfort version includes: Multimedia equipment with 10 "touch panel, USB port and Android platform Multifunction steering wheel lined with Eco Leather and adjustable in height On-board computer Electric knockers Electric mirrors Front and rear foggers Air conditioning Hood sound insulation Adjustable pilot seat Directional LEDs Backup camera Regarding security, it offers Double Front Airbag Four-wheel disc brakes with ABS + EBD system Crankcase cover Central lock Automatic closing of doors at speed Key with remote control Child safe Electronic engine immobilizer JAC T8 engine Two-liter turbo diesel engine 134 HP 320 Nm Six-speed manual transmission Electronic selector for the traction system (4x4 versions) JAC offers the T8 4x2 at an introductory price of $ 16,990 and the 4x4 version at $ 18,690.-

Defense Minister Walter Martos said the seven regions will remain in quarantine. Defense Minister Walter Martos announced that the state of national emergency, as a consequence of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), will be extended in the coming months to allow the participation of the Armed Forces in operations with the National Police . The ministerial cabinet member spoke after President Martín Vizcarra announced, in his Message to the Nation for National Holidays, that the military will continue to support the Police in the fight against crime until the end of the year. "In this case, support to the Police in matters of citizen security would have to be within an emergency framework for the Armed Forces to act in support of them," Martos said on Canal N. "From the moment that the president of the Republic (Martín Vizcarra) announces that we are going to support the Police in matters of citizen security, it means that the state of national emergency will continue," he added. Although he did not specify the number of months in which he would implement the state of emergency, Martos noted that the announcement would be made in the next three days, since the current restrictive measure expires on July 31. Quarantined regions Defense Minister Walter Martos clarified that the quarantine that was ordered in Arequipa, Ica, Junín, Huánuco, San Martín, Madre de Dios and Áncash will not be lifted yet. He added that the provinces of Cajamarca, Jaén and San Ignacio of the department of Cajamarca and the province of La Convencion in Cusco were added by a supreme decree. "These restrictions of these seven regions, plus these provinces, are basically the immobilization of Sundays, the curfew that extends from 8 at night until 4 in the morning and the interregional public transport traffic between these cities, to avoid the greater movement of people and try to control the speed of contagion until a hospital response is found in each of these places, "he said. "This is going to continue (quarantine) because this is a dynamic process and as long as the contagion curve doesn't peak and starts to go down as it is already happening in some northern regions, then we can't lift these restrictions. They have to continue, "said the Defense Minister.

SAP has announced its plan to take the Experience Management (XM) software company Qualtrics public through a US IPO just two years after purchasing the firm for $8bn. Back in 2018, the German software giant agreed to acquire the company just four days before Qualtrics was set to go public the first time. SAP will retain majority ownership of the company once its IPO, which is subject to market conditions, is complete. While Qualtrics has operated with greater autonomy that other companies acquired by SAP, it will have even greater autonomy under its existing managers including founder Ryan Smith once it goes public. Smith provided further details about the two companies continue partnership in a press release, saying: When we launched the Experience Management category, our goal was always to help as many organizations as possible leverage the XM Platform as a system of action. SAP is an incredible partner with unprecedented global reach, and we couldn’t be more excited about continuing the partnership. This will allow us to continue building out the XM ecosystem across a broad array of partners.” Qualtrics IPO At the time when former SAP CEO Bill McDermott purchased Qualtrics, he did so as part of a $26bn spending spree designed to help solidify the German software giant's place in cloud-based software and services market. Now though, SAP's new CEO Christian Klein is facing increased competition from both Salesforce and Workday. Klein explained why he, Smith and Zig Serafin decided to take Qualtrics public, saying: “SAP’s acquisition of Qualtrics has been a great success and has outperformed our expectations with 2019 cloud growth in excess of 40 percent, demonstrating very strong performance in the current setup. As Ryan Smith, Zig Serafin and I worked together, we decided that an IPO would provide the greatest opportunity for Qualtrics to grow the Experience Management category, serve its customers, explore its own acquisition strategy and continue building the best talent. SAP will remain Qualtrics’ largest and most important go-to-market and research and development (R&D) partner while giving Qualtrics greater independence to broaden its base by partnering and building out the entire experience management ecosystem.” SAP's final decision on the conditions and timing of Qualtircs' IPO is still pending though the transaction is not expected to have an impact on the company's longer-term financial targets.

A huge report from DigiTimes has leaked out claiming that Intel's Ponte Vecchio GPU has found its home on TSMC's lower-cost 6nm process. The leak originally sprung from a paywalled DigiTimes article and has since been corroborated by China Times as well in the last few hours. The implication of Intel shifting major products to TSMC is huge and the report even indicates that talks to move Intel's bread and butter CPUs to the pure-play foundry are being held as well. Intel's Ponte Vecchio GPU will be made on the TSMC 6nm process, books 180,000 orders in advance Intel's 10nm process is actually better than TSMC's 7nm process (MTr/mm2) and is roughly comparable to TSMC's 6nm process. This means products that are fabricated on TSMC's 6nm process (which is an optimized and lower cost version of 7nm) will have roughly the same density as a 10nm Intel part. This is problematic in the sense because Intel's 7nm was supposed to have even higher MTr/mm2 and could impact the footprint of projects dependant on Ponte Vecchio such as the Aurora supercomputer. Surprisingly, this also claims that Intel is planning to shift its bread and butter CPU parts to TSMC as well - although I want to make it clear that this part is not confirmed yet. This is something which, even after all things are said and done, we were not expecting. It is almost impossible to ensure consistency between two different foundries that are owned by different companies and don't follow Intel's Copy Exactly process. This likely means that Intel will decide to shift entire lineups to TSMC to ensure consistency. According to the Taiwanese publication, these are expected to be on the 5nm or 3nm process. These findings were further corroborated by Chinatimes as well. The Chinese publication confirmed that TSMC's 6nm process had received orders worth 180,000 wafers from Intel which will likely be used to manufacture Ponte Vecchio on a node that is roughly equal in terms of MTr/mm2 to Intel's 10nm process. The report further mentions that AMD and Intel will be vying for wafer capacity as they battle it out for TSMC's attention next year. A translation of the relevant portion is given below: Computer processor makers Intel and AMD will battle for TSMC's 7-nanometer-generation process capacity next year. The company (Intel) has reached an agreement with foundry leader TSMC to use TSMC's 7nm optimized version of its 6nm process for mass production of processors or graphic chips starting next year. In the second half of this year, TSMC began converting some of its 7nm capacity to 6nm, and will enter mass production by the end of this year. The market had expected TSMC to receive fewer orders from Huawei and Hess, resulting in a shortage of capacity for TSMC's 7nm process next year. However, with Intel confirming to outsource and book 6nm capacity next year, and Supermicro expanding orders to cover most of its 7/7+nm capacity, TSMC's advanced processes will remain at full capacity in the first half of next year, resulting in a slow first quarter of operations. Intel's 10nm transistor volume (MTr/mm2) is slightly better than TSMC's 7nm and comparable to TSMC's 6nm, according to equipment industry sources, and in the second half of the year the two companies will begin working together to redesign the photomasks on some of Intel's 10nm processors or graphics chips to conform to TSMC's processes. Intel has reached an agreement with TSMC and has ordered 180,000 wafers of TSMC's 6-nanometer production capacity for next year, the company said. This would also explain the rumors we saw earlier about NVIDIA shifting their GPUs to Samsung's 8nm process. With Intel and AMD both slugging it out for capacity, there [opinion] probably isn't enough room for another company [/opinion] and it would make sense for green to move to a foundry with more breathing room. This also has interesting implications for the future of Intel's TMG efforts and the increasing importance of TSMC as the flagship foundry of the world. Ponte Vecchio is a very important milestone for the company, and if it had to tap TSMC to fab it properly (and that too at a lower density node), it raises questions on the efficacy of TMG - which has now delayed two processes in a row. Hopefully, they get their house in order soon, because we need Intel to keep applying competitive pressures to the industry and driving transistor density forward.

The successor to the Haval H5 makes its final presentation. It should start marketing in September. We also know its final specifications. Chengdu seems to quickly catch up with Shanghai or Beijing in terms of novelties and one of the most anticipated, at least by the local public, is the Haval DaGou, a phrase that can be translated into "Big Dog", a name very particular and that is aligned with other curious names associated with the Great Wall group, such as the electric Ora White Cat. The name "Big Dog" was the winner of a contest conducted by Haval on WeChat, which as we know is the main Chinese social network. The Big Dog design, as we pointed out in a previous article, is the work of Phil Simmons, former designer of the Jaguar-Land Rover group, who devised a style with retro tints, a quadriform silhouette and a more adventurous spirit. Many have cited that it is a copy of the Bronco Sport, the Mercedes G-Class, the Jeep Renegade or other such cars, although the truth - and this on a personal basis - there is nothing. The Big Dog will surely be part of a secondary line of models, parallel to the more futuristic and sporty models for which the brand has become known in recent times. Another very important detail is that initially it was said that the Big Dog would use a platform similar to that of the H5 that it replaces, that is, of stringers. It was also said that the Big Dog would be related to the brand's Tank platform. The truth is that the Big Dog has a monocoque architecture and is manufactured on the brand's new Lemon platform (B30), the same one that exhibits the new Haval H6, also presented in Chengdu. It features a McPherson-type suspension on the front and a Multilink scheme on the rear axle. Dimensions and capacities of the Haval Big Dog Length: 4,620 mm Width: 1,890 mm Height: 1,780 mm Between axes: 2,738 mm Clearance: 200mm Attack angle: 24º Departure angle: 30º Ventral angle: 22º Equipment and mechanics of the Haval Big Dog The Haval Big Dog will initially be powered by a 1.5 Turbo direct injection engine (GW4B15A), which develops 169 Hp and 285 Nm, associating itself with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which delivers its power to the front axle. Later, a 2.0 Turbo engine (4N20) will debut, which will be offered in two configurations, one of 204 Hp with 320 Nm and one of higher specification, with 245 Hp and 385 Nm. These engines will employ the brand's new nine-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, plus an AWD drive system provided by Borg-Warner with a self-locking rear differential. Its equipment, for what was exhibited in the sample, includes 18 or 19-inch wheels, luggage bars, panoramic roof, two screens of 10.1 and 12.3 inches for the instrument panel and the multimedia system, six modes of handling, dual climate control, paddles on the steering wheel, 360-degree cameras and various storage spaces. Will Haval be encouraged to bring him in?

The number of infected by coronavirus had a new increase this Monday, going from 384,797 to 389,717, according to the Ministry of Health. The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported this Monday, July 27, that the number of positive cases of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country rose to 389,717. This is 4,920 new infections, which add to the 384,797 on Sunday. By order of the Executive Power, since July 1 a quarantine has been in force focused on the country that reaches Arequipa, Ica, Junín, Huánuco, San Martín, Madre de Dios and Áncash. In Lima and in the other departments, the measure was partially lifted, since those under 14 and those over 65 must continue in social isolation. The government also established a new schedule for the curfew: from 10:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. in Lima and other cities in almost the entire country, with the exception of the seven regions mentioned above. Among the restrictive measures that are maintained at the national level, the closing of borders and the prohibition of mass attendance events such as parties and concerts stand out.

Intel's Rocket Lake is an upcoming series of processors based on the 14nm process, but unlike older generations, it will feature a revamped architecture (Willow Cove), PCIe 4.0 support and Xe graphics. Think of it as a backport of the advanced architecture reserved for 10nm to 14nm so the company can maximally utilize its foundry capacity. Since it is based on the 14nm process, a leaked benchmark (Geekbench via _rogame) indicates that it will be able to boost up to 5.0 GHz (which is typical for the highly mature process right now) allowing for a best of both worlds situation where a new architecture is able to hit the ground running (speaking from a clock speed perspective) because of the highly mature node. Intel Rocket Lake CPUs will boost up to 5.0 GHz and feature Willow Cove cores, PCIe 4.0 and Xe Graphics Backporting is a usually a double-edged sword because if 10nm isn't able to sufficiently compete in terms of power efficiency gains, the loss in clock speed from shifting to the infant 10nm process (when it happens) could result in reduced performance from the bar that Rocket Lake is going to set when it launches. In the meantime, however, this is great news for enthusiasts because RKL is going to be the first major new architecture in a very long time. Early benchmarks of the platform were spotted over at Geekbench and they are expected to come to market sometime in late 2020 or possibly by early 2021. A 5.0 GHz boost clock combined with a major new architecture should offer the best possible combination for a performance upgrade for Intel customers (although at the cost of similar TDP) in a very long time and I am personally really excited to see how this performs. Backporting could also turn out to be Intel's saving grace as it misstepped on 10nm and now again on 7nm. Rocket Lake-S will be housed on 500-series motherboards and will have features that are characteristic of a major architectural change. Willow Cove itself is going to result in massive IPC uplifts and considering this is based on the 14nm process - it will be able to sustain the high clock speeds that were the saving grace of Intel's current generation of processors. The result is a platform that is significantly faster (think Nehalem to Sandy Bridge) than the generation it succeeds and could even put the hurt to its upcoming 10nm family if the clock rates don't improve enough.

Windows 10's next update due to land later this year (referred to as 20H2) was expected to be just a service pack-style upgrade, mirroring what happened in the second half of 2019 - but it seems that the update won't just offer minor changes, but some bigger introductions. This appears to be the case because Microsoft has just released a new preview version for Windows 10 (20H2) which carries the new Start menu that has previously been tested in the dev channel, among a number of other more sizeable alterations to the OS. Build 19042.421 has been deployed to beta channel testers and it comes with the more streamlined design for the Start menu, which changes live tiles so they carry the same background color (which matches whether Windows 10 is in a light or dark theme), as opposed to the patchwork of different colors which they currently are. The idea is a more uniform look overall, but those who are wanting a splash more in the way of colorfulness can apply an accent color if they wish. Microsoft explains: “This refined Start design looks great in both dark and light theme, but if you’re looking for a splash of color, first make sure to turn on Windows dark theme and then toggle ‘Show accent color on the following surfaces’ for ‘Start, taskbar, and action center’ under Settings > Personalization > Color to elegantly apply your accent color to the Start frame and tiles.” Other changes in build 19042.421 include modifying the way Alt-Tabbing works in relation to Microsoft Edge. Essentially, this lets every single tab you have open in the browser appear as a separate element when Alt-Tabbing through your running tasks. That may be confusing or clunky if you have a whole load of tabs open, mind, and you might not like the idea of this feature anyway – so Microsoft has made it easy to turn off (or limit the number of Edge tabs that can be displayed when Alt-Tabbing). Furthermore, websites in Microsoft Edge that you’ve pinned to the taskbar will now show all of the open tabs for that site across any active browser windows when you click them on the taskbar. Note that to get these Edge features, you’ll need to be running either the Canary or Dev build of the browser, on at least version 83.0.475.0 for Alt-Tabbing, and 85.0.561.0 or higher for the improvement to pinned sites. Taskbar tweak There are various other changes as well, as Microsoft lists in its blog post, and they include tweaks for notifications and settings, as well as personalizing the taskbar when first setting up Windows 10 (something we’ve also seen before). The latter means the taskbar will be po[CENSORED]ted with icons more relevant to you based on your Microsoft account (so if you’ve previously hooked up a smartphone, you’ll have the Your Phone app already on the taskbar). It would seem, then, that the next update for Windows 10 is going to be more than a minor affair like the November 2019 Update, although that said, the listed changes may be all that Microsoft is planning. Even so, the new look for the Start menu is a pretty major alteration on an aesthetic level, and who knows, we could see further work being done in terms of honing the appearance of the menu, as other rumored changes have surfaced in recent times. Interestingly, Mary Jo Foley of ZDNet has apparently heard from a source that what might be happening here – and we stress the word might – is that Windows 10 may not get an update for the first half of 2021, and so these features which were scheduled for that upgrade have been shunted forward to the 20H2 update. Dropping one of the twice-yearly updates for Windows 10 certainly would be a big change, but at the moment, that’s just a theory based on an anonymous tip that we should treat very cautiously. Just as we needed to treat the strong rumors about Windows 10 (20H2) being only a minor service-pack style upgrade, which is seemingly now not the case. However, we can’t help but wonder whether that potential move from Microsoft might have something to do with other speculation that the software giant is aiming for spring 2021 for the first commercial release of Windows 10X.

There are many countries that over the years have distinguished themselves for being part of the automotive tradition, such as France, Germany, England, the United States, Japan and South Korea. From there we have seen the birth of large brands that remain in force in the market, but in turn, it is always good that more countries want to join in to enter the automotive industry. One of those that is next is Greece, thanks to Spyros Panopoulos Automotive, a new brand that is already developing its own hyper car, which is described by the manufacturer as the new generation of super sports cars that use the latest technology for both production as for model development. The name of the model in which Spyros works is Project Chaos, a brand new super sports car that equips a 4.0-liter V10 biturbo engine, which aims to offer a top speed of up to 500 km / h and acceleration figures from 0 to 100 km / h in just 1.8 seconds. Among the materials used for its manufacture we find aluminum, titanium, carbon fiber, as well as titanium and ceramic compounds to produce the engine's two turbochargers. The wheels are made of titanium, using 3D printing, measuring 21 inches for the front and 22 inches for the rear, while the brakes are ceramic and are also made with third-dimensional technology. The chassis is monocoque and the body is made of carbon, kevlar and zylon, a material with a high degree of resistance that is used in components of Formula 1 cars and in the aerospace industry. To finish, indoors, it will use a style typical of the Aston Martin or Adrian Newey super cars, in addition to achieving a mix between sophistication and technology, thanks to the introduction of augmented reality technology. It seems that this somewhat ambitious proposal will not see the light until the beginning of the year 2021, so we will have to be patient to know more details about its innovative features.
