Among the winning proposals stand out the one for a self-sustaining oxygen equipment, those for massive and low-cost diagnosis, those for the development of antibodies and new therapeutic targets as treatment for COVID-19. The Concytec, through its Fondecyt organ, published this weekend the list of final results of the contest "Special Projects: Modality - Emerging Needs to COVID-19 2020-02", convened in response to the new demands caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19). According to Concytec, this call sought, in a short period of time, the application of initiatives capable of achieving results in the shortest possible time, through the presentation of concept notes for each project between May 27 and 31. Despite the brevity of the timelines of the entire evaluation and selection process, 501 applications were initially received, of which 45 advanced to the second stage of the process, and from this last group, 21 proposals were selected. Six of them correspond to the thematic area of Epidemiology and Prevention, with initiatives that aim, for example, at the study of the disease in residents living at height, the symptomatic and asymptomatic transmission of the virus and the prevalence of post-infection pulmonary alteration. Meanwhile, the theme of Sanitary Accessories obtained five projects, among which stand out the self-sustaining medical oxygen concentrator and supplier equipment, the use of ultraviolet radiation to disinfect personal protective equipment and the creation of a special paint that could be applied in public places such as transportation to reduce the period of stay of the virus. Both the Vaccines, Antigens and Antivirals areas - focused on the development and validation of these drugs - as well as the Social and Economic Research - studies on the consequences of the pandemic on the economy and society - obtained three projects each. The selected initiatives, evaluated by a group made up of almost a hundred national and international specialists, come from universities (12), research institutes and civil society organizations (7) and private companies (2). Each of the 21 winning projects will receive a grant of up to S / 350,000, totaling S / 5.5 million in funding.

Covering the guacamole that we have left with a layer of warm water will serve to prevent it from rusting and keeping it green and fresh in the fridge. In summer there is nothing like preparing a rich guacamole sauce, or cooking the odd salad that has avocados among its ingredients, but it is a common thing that when we keep guacamole or avocado open in the fridge, we find it a different color the next day. . Luckily, there is a trick to keeping guacamole green and fresh. The truth is that the avocado is one of the many fruits that when cut or opened, begin an oxidation process that causes it not only to lose some nutrients but also change color. In the case of avocados in particular, you may have seen how it goes from green to black, being much less appetizing to eat and if we have thought of making guacamole, we will also see how it has darkened, and also it is no longer good. Luckily we have at our disposal a simple trick that will allow us to keep green and fresh avocado in our fridge and specifically, the guacamole that we have prepared and that we have left over. These are all the steps to apply the trick in question, and for which only a little water is required. We will start by pouring the guacamole sauce that we have made in a tupper or a jar, which is better to be airtight. Next, we have to cover the sauce with a layer of warm water. The next step will consist of covering the tupper or jar with the lid or in the case of not having it, with a little transparent plastic wrap. Now we can put it in the fridge to check that the next day it is ready to drink without problem. It will be enough to stir that yes, the sauce and voila! or if you prefer you can remove the water that you have poured over it with the help of a spoon. The trick to preserve guacamole works because the water acts as a protective shield, thus preventing oxygen from coming into contact with the mixture, and with this we prevent the oxidation that we have mentioned then from occurring and that our sauce does not lose its flavor or its creaminess. With the trick you can also keep your homemade guacamole sauce without changing it at all for three days. And to preserve the avocado? In the event that you have used only one of the avocado halves and want to keep the other one without it rusting or changing color, you can do something as effective as covering the avocado with lime juice or vinegar, wrapping it in plastic wrap and You store it, or you can also store it in a container, and then freeze it. The trick to keep guacamole green and fresh

This week, a short thread circulates on Twitter in which a user of the social network shares eight hypotheses of a strange theory that the singer Bruno Mars would be an unrecognized son of the late Michael Jackson. Despite not providing concrete evidence, the letter draws the attention of hundreds of people and raises the possibility that this family relationship has been hidden for 34 years. But how true is what is said? These are the eight points of the famous theory: - Bruno would be Michael's son with Billie Jean, from the song Billie Jean, which is about his possible son. - Bruno's real name is Peter, the name of Michael's favorite character (Peter Pan). - In a 1986 interview, Michael said that he had a son who was different from those already known, but preferred to leave him because he did not want to expose the child and mother to the media. - When he passed away, it was said at the funeral that his eldest son was also there, Bruno was there. - A music producer for Bruno Mars said he was Michael's son, the next day he was fired. - Michael was a friend of Bruno Mars' "father". - In the year of Michael's death, Bruno was admitted by the same label. - The similarity in voice and facial features is truly amazing. This theory, however, has two important inconsistencies. The first is that the song Billie Jean, while talking about an unrecognized son when he mentions "But the kid is not my son," was released in 1983 and Bruno Mars was born in 1985. The second mistake is that there is no record of an interview in which Michael said he had an unrecognized son and that he preferred not to disclose it. Some fans agree that if he had said that, the king of pop would perhaps be referring to fellow singer Brandon Howard as well. The story that this artist is an alleged son of Jackson was spread at the time by the TMZ portal, which exposed a theory similar to the viral content about Bruno Mars, citing that Howard's mother was close to Michael and used Billy as his stage name. , which would link her to the character of Billie Jean. That possibility, however, was buried after DNA tests that showed that Brandon Howard and Jackson were not related. The truth is that the singer and songwriter Bruno Mars, whose real name is Peter Gene Hernández, was born in Hawaii in October 1985 and the resemblance of his voice to Jackson's had already generated other stories. The theory circulates online that in 2004 Mars appeared on the American Idol program, but it would not have been selected due to the similarity of its singing with the king of pop, since the contest is looking for original artists. Years later, the singer-songwriter garnered great fame and countless accolades, including ten Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards, and three MTV Europe Music Awards.

All the most po[CENSORED]r Chrome extensions could be coming to Safari soon Safari web users will no longer have to worry about falling behind Chrome and Firefox after Apple revealed a major upgrade for its web browser. After mentioning a number of native extensions as part of the macOS 11 Big Sur reveal earlier this week, Apple has now said it will be adding support for porting web extensions from other platforms. The company says this move will allow developers to port an existing extension from Chrome, Firefox or Edge "with very little effort" onto Safari which has fallen behind its rivals when it comes to useful add-ons. Safari users don't currently have a lot to choose from when it comes to extensions and add-ons, with only a few sharing and blocking options currently available on iOS or macOS. However the new platform opens up developers to be able to utilise the likes of HTML, JavaScript and CSS on Safari. All new offerings will need to be submitted to the App Store, as Safari extensions will continue to need to be an Xcode project bundled with a native app to download - although this app won't even necessarily have to do anything. Users will receive a warning alert when using an extension for the first time, and Safari will also display alerts if an extension tries to access a user's entire browsing data. Apple says it will soon release an extension converter to help developers transfer their extensions simply and quickly. This converter will be able to spot any regulatory or compatibility issues, and whether you should limit the reach of an extension to particular websites, or for a set amount of time.

Ever wondered whether expensive ultra-short throw laser projectors (the LG HU85LA 4K UST in this case) are actually worth the price tag? While there are tons of reviews of brand new devices (you can check out our original review of the LG HU85LA here) there are almost no reviews after "burn-in" time for a projector has passed. This is usually where most DLP and non-laser light source projectors will start to show something called lamp fade. Good quality projectors boast color accuracy even after lamp fade but could you have a projector that shows no lamp fade during its life? This is why we wanted to do a special review after burning in LG's HU85LA 4K Ultra Short Throw (UST) Laser projector for 6 months and seeing just how it compares to the specs on paper. As far as we know, this is the only 6-month review of the LG HU85LA 4K UST and should let you know if it is *really* worth the investment. Using the LG HU85LA 4K UST projector for 6 months: how does it hold up? The LG HU85LA 4K UST projector is a living room projector (with full cinema projector capabilities) that boasts the highest lumen count we have ever tested and is ideal for scenarios where setting up a long throw projector would be difficult or not practical. While most DLP projectors (the vast majority of projectors in the mainstream segment) have a light source that lasts at most 5000 hours, LG is using a laser light source that will last for at least 20,000 hours. Not only that but while other vendors use a single laser source passing through a color wheel, LG instead relies on a triple-channel laser system (which counterintuitively only houses two lasers - a blue and a red one) for this particular projector. The biggest promise of this projector, however, is the fact that it can be used as a living room projector. When coupled with an ambient light rejecting (ALR) screen, and its high lumen count, you would have a TV-like experience at up to 120 inch. Considering the fact that the light source is laser-based you should also see no lamp fade and the device should outlive any use you have for it. Or at least that is what the manufacturer claims and this is what this review aims to find out. he LG HU85LA 4K UST uses a Texas instruments 4x XPR chip to achieve true 4k resolution (at a maximum of 30 fps). A note here about XPR: unlike 4K enhanced projectors, an XPR projector does actually project a true 4k grid on a screen. It achieves this by projecting all of the pixels in rapid succession (kind of like a CRT TV) and continuity of image in your brain makes it appear as a cohesive image instead of four different parts. It works sort of like how CRTs of old used to work (with progressive lines being scanned on the monitor and your brain making them into a single image). The company has rated the projector at a peak brightness of 2700 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 2,000,000 to 1. HDR10 with Dynamic Tone Mapping is supported and the min-max screen sizes are 90 inch to 120 inch. It is worth noting here that this is a "smart" projector and contains Google Assistant, LG's native app drawer, and more. It features a DTV tuner, Bluetooth, and a USB connection that should be able to play most video files. Furthermore, it comes equipped with a somewhat lacking 5W + 5W dual speaker system. Although if you are putting this much into a projector, chances are you will have a dedicated audio system anyways.

If we had been told a decade ago that Jaguar was going to get ahead of Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, we would have died of laughter. The English firm, although positioned in the same market segment as the German ones, has never been able to overcome them. However, with the launch of the Jaguar I-Pace it hit the table and achieved the image it deserved, with a high technological profile. But not only that, it is that the Jaguar I-Pace has devastated half the world, receiving highly acclaimed awards. However, sleeping for weeks debuts restyling. In this case, those responsible for the brand have had it very easy, since there was little to touch. Still, they have revised the model from top to bottom, to fine-tune what has lagged behind. The Jaguar I-Pace 2021 maintains its appearance and increases elegance On an aesthetic level, the evolution of the renewed Jaguar I-Pace is limited. It is an aspect in which it continues to shine, with muscular and very modern lines. In fact, his rivals seem more conservative than him, so the design team has limited itself to subtle improvements. One of the most notable affects the front area, specifically the grill, which becomes more elegant thanks to the inclusion of chrome elements. Another aspect that evolves is the color palette to dress up your accessories. To the existing ones are added three new Caldera Red, Portofino Blue and Eiger Gray. To complement these possibilities, new alloy wheels and a more exclusive decoration package appear. Called the Bright Pack, it is available throughout the range, and is positioned as the most luxurious and exclusive option. Renovated interior with better technology and better quality If the evolution is limited abroad, the interior of the Jaguar I-Pace gains in quality and technology. First, we found a configurable digital instrument cluster that comes to life thanks to a 12.3-inch screen. The central area is chaired by a revised 10-inch touch screen that includes the innovative Pivi Pro infotainment system. Now, this element has an eSim that gives it new functions. Among them is the possibility of real-time traffic updates, search for charging points or the weather. Another novelty is the slot, located under the controls of the climate control, for charging phones. Precisely the air conditioner is another aspect that has been improved, since it includes a filter that allows to retain particles of up to 2.5 PM. In addition, it has a pre-conditioning function, that is, it can be activated through the smartphone so that the cabin is at the temperature we want. Next to it we have a renewed 360º vision system with ClearSight interior rearview mirror. As for equipment possibilities, the level remains very high. Thus, the immense list includes elements such as the Meridian 3D surround sound system with TrifieldTM technology, equipped with 2 ceiling speakers. Finally, mention that although the design is maintained, the quality of the materials has been revised and the adjustments improved. Important improvements for an identical electrical scheme To finish, we should take a look at your electric powertrain. The Jaguar I-Pace 2021 maintains the configuration we already know: two electric motors, one on each axis. To feed, drink from a lithium ion battery with 90 kWh of energy capacity. Both parameters have not been altered, but their engineers have made improvements that affect the charging process. Now included in the price is a new wall charger with a three-phase plug that supports up to 11 kW of alternating current. Therefore, we can fully fill your battery in a time between 8 and 9 hours. In addition, it supports up to 100 kW of power in charging stations with direct current. Everything, to continue being one of the electric SUVs with the best autonomy in the world, about 470 kilometers according to the WLTP protocol. Its arrival on the market is scheduled for the coming weeks, but in the UK it is already available. If you want to order, the reservation book is already open, although it will not be until later that we know more details. Among them is its official price list and equipment levels.

President Martín Vizcarra reported that more than 60% of Peruvians who contracted COVID-19 have overcome the disease. During his press conference, the president explained that to date there are around 264,000 positive cases of coronavirus. Of these, 151 589 compatriots have overcome the virus and 104 514 are still battling this disease. This after discarding the coronavirus to 1 million 560 653 people. Of the Peruvians who are still infected, 10 599 are hospitalized and 1,166 are in the ICU with mechanical ventilation. "We were pleased when the number of recovered reached 50% of the total number of infected. Today we are already at 60% of the recovered and this trend occurs in some regions of the country that have a curve of decline, persistence of the virus and in others the same does not happen. We have to do the comprehensive analysis, "he explained. Vizcarra Cornejo also pointed out that Lima still concentrates 70% of coronavirus cases. The other 30% is distributed among the other regions of the country. In addition, he indicated that 250 mechanical fans have arrived from the United States and that on June 30 another 400 fans purchased in China will arrive.

Intel has just teased its upcoming Xe architecture powered GPUs which come in three distinct packages. The three Xe GPUs were teased by Raja Koduri who gave a visit to the Xe GPU Lab in Folsom, California. Intel Teases Three Massive Xe GPUs In BFP "Big Fabulous Package" Flavors - Coming To A Data Center Near You Soon! From Xe LP to Xe HPC, Intel is developing all sorts of GPUs which will go on to power its next-gen graphics portfolio. At the helm of these products would be the Xe HP and Xe HPC powered GPUs which will be featured in machines with up to exaflops of compute power. Intel already gave us a glimpse of one of their Xe HP GPU a while back when Raja Koduri posted about a celebration back in December 2019 which marked a significant milestone in the development of the largest silicon in Bangalore, India. But even that massive chip with a package size exceeding 3500mm2 is nothing compared to what Raja has teased us today. For starters, there are three distinct GPU packages that Raja has teased including the Xe HP package we got to see earlier accompanied by a smaller die & a super-massive one which eclipses the other two chips. Based on our exclusive report and from what Intel has talked about in regards to its Ponte Vecchio chip, it looks like Intel in all onboard the MCM train with each chip consisting of several Xe GPU tiles that will be interconnected together to form a monster of a GPU. Here are the actual EU counts of Intel's various MCM-based Xe HP GPUs along with estimated core counts and TFLOPs: Xe HP (12.5) 1-Tile GPU: 512 EU [Est: 4096 Cores, 12.2 TFLOPs assuming 1.5GHz, 150W] Xe HP (12.5) 2-Tile GPU: 1024 EUs [Est: 8192 Cores, 20.48 assuming 1.25 GHz, TFLOPs, 300W] Xe HP (12.5) 4-Tile GPU: 2048 EUs [Est: 16,384 Cores, 36 TFLOPs assuming 1.1 GHz, 400W/500W] In the two shots above, you can see actual test boards equipped with the Xe powered DG1 and the Xe HPC GPUs. You can clearly see that the DG1 GPU is referred to ES1 which means that this unit is from an early test kit and also mentions 12x8 which equals 96. The DG1 GPU based on Xe LP micro architecture is going to feature 96 EUs and this could be the flagship variant that is being tested. In the other picture, you can see an even more interesting part which reads ATS-4T. This is the largest of the three chips pictured above and from the looks of it, it refers to the chip being internally code-named Arctic Sound and the 4T could possibly refer to the 4-tile MCM design which I've mentioned above. Once again, Raja has stationed a single AA battery for scale and we will definitely provide a more in-depth article on the specific package sizes of the other two chips in a follow-up article. Raja Koduri also makes use of a new and interesting terminology to define the massive size of its Xe HP and Xe HPC parts referred to as BFP or Big Fabulous Package. The first system to utilize the Xe HPC GPUs will be the Aurora Supercomputer which will be deployed in 2021 and will be the lead 7nm product from Intel to enter the tech landscape. The Intel Xe GPU architecture is one scalable architecture powering various products. Intel is planning to offer three microarchitectures derived from Xe. These include: Intel Xe LP (Integrated + Entry / Mainstream Gaming) Intel Xe HP (Enthusiast, Workstation / Datacenter / AI) Intel Xe HPC (HPC Exascale) While HPC would be first to use 7nm Xe GPUs, Intel's 10nm Xe GPU lineup would be making its way to the mainstream and enthusiast gaming market in 2020 which would be utilizing the consumer-tuned Xe LP architecture. Intel recently gave us the first demo of its Xe LP GPU inside its upcoming Tiger Lake CPUs which is proving to be a major leap in integrated graphics performance for Intel as seen in the demonstration. Expect more information on the Xe HP & Xe HPC GPUs in the coming months.

WhatsApp payments scheme comes to an abrupt end Brazil has axed WhatsApp’s new payments system over concerns about its impact on the country’s financial ecosystem. Launched initially in Brazil with a view to expanding into other territories, the service allowed users to transfer funds between one another via WhatsApp, but was live for less than two weeks. According to Brazil’s central bank, the WhatsApp feature poses a threat to the country’s existing payments system in the context of competition, efficiency and data privacy - and should be subject to a review by the nation’s monetary watchdog. Payments infrastructure firms Visa and Mastercard have been ordered to halt all transactions made via WhatsApp, or else face fines and sanctions. WhatsApp payments The new WhatsApp payment system was designed to simplify the process of transferring funds between individuals, while also providing local businesses with a foothold in the digital economy. The service was to be free for all personal users, much like WhatsApp’s messaging service, but businesses would be charged processing fees similar to those they might pay when accepting credit card transactions. However, WhatsApp’s service was launched without the permission of Brazil’s central bank, which has since set out regulation that requires new market participants to seek approval before entering the payments ecosystem. A statement issued by WhatsApp indicates the firm will continue to work with the Brazilian bank to allay its concerns and revive the project. The company also suggested it could be open to an approach that involves a wider range of participants, in a bid to address concerns about market concentration.

The institution considered that "it is time to put cold cloths" before the number of "patients who are dying and dying in hospitals" in the country as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) The Peruvian Medical College proposed exercising the role of intermediary between the Government and private clinics to reach an agreement in the negotiations on the rates that will be charged for the care of patients with coronavirus (COVID-19). "The Medical College of Peru considers that in this conflict between the Government and private clinics, the right to health and life must prevail as the supreme goal of society. In this context, it offers itself as an intermediary to seek an agreement that will facilitate the expansion of the health system, including the private health system ”, indicated the institution in its statement. In addition, the Medical College of Peru considered that "it is time to put cold cloths" before the number of "patients who are dying and dying in hospitals" in the country. However, he indicated that private clinics, in the current context of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), "protected by the logic of the free market, charge prices far from the reality of the economic capacity of the Peruvian po[CENSORED]tion." The Medical College of Peru considered “regrettable” the attitude of the national health authority for, according to what it said, not exercising its role of government in health, despite having the instruments granted by current legal regulations and more than 100 days after quarantine, giving rise to "dire situations". This Wednesday, at a press conference, President Martín Vizcarra announced that he would apply the provisions of article 70 of the Constitution in case an agreement is not reached, within 48 hours, with the network of private clinics regarding the rate that would be charged for the care of patients with COVID-19. The president indicated that the Government has the "legal arguments" to intervene in private clinics in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.

AMD's next-generation Ryzen 5000 APUs codenamed Cezanne have once again been spotted and this time, the device ID for the said chips has been confirmed along with details of what to expect on the CPU and GPU side which will be using a mix of both new and refined technologies in form of Zen 3 and Vega. AMD Ryzen 5000 'Cezanne' APUs Device ID Confirmed, Zen 3 and Vega Powered APUs To Retain AM4 Support Till 2021 We already know quite a bit about the Cezanne APU family which is going to power Ryzen 5000 APUs on both desktop and notebook platforms in the coming year. The Cezanne family would be replacing AMD's Renoir Ryzen 4000 APU family which has been released on notebooks since April and will make its debut on the desktop AM4 platform in the coming months. Komachi also points out that Cezanne APUs are still based on GFX9 architecture which means that we are once again going to see an enhanced version of Vega on the next-generation APUs. What's interesting is that Cezanne APUs will feature a brand new CPU core just like Renoir APUs but will do with an enhanced revision of an existing GPU core. It is also reported that the Cezanne APUs will be coming to the AM4 platform which means that the socket will last till 2021 and we can expect AMD to upgrade to AM5 around 2022. This seems very likely considering that Zen 3 'Vermeer' desktop chips are launching later this year and there will be more parts launching in 2021 to fill up the end spaces of the lineup. AMD Cezanne 'Ryzen 5000' APUs With Zen 3 CPU & Vega GPU Cores We already touched on some details for Cezanne 'Ryzen 5000' APUs in our previous post but it looks like there's more information to talk about. For starters, like this year's lineup, the Cezanne family would be split into two segments for laptops, the high-performance Cezanne-H & the low-power Cezanne-U. The processors will feature the FP6/AM4 package which is the same as the existing chips. It's a BGA platform and will definitely help laptop makers since it keeps the same design while desktop users can upgrade over from their existing processors to the new ones without requiring to change their motherboards. The actual GPU powering the Cezanne APU is going to be an enhanced version of the existing Vega GPU which is also its most refined form to date. Previous reports said that the Cezanne APUs will be fabricated on the TSMC N7 process node. From the looks of it, the CPU side will once again be the major update while the GPU side will get similar enhancements to we saw on the refined 7nm Vega GPU on the Renoir APU family. With that said, the Zen 3 CPU cores are going to deliver a massive leap in performance per watt and efficiency over the Zen 2 architecture so that will keep audiences interested for the next-gen chip either way. It is reported that AMD's Cezanne 'Ryzen 5000' APU lineup is expected to hit the market by 2021. We can hear an announcement at CES 2021 with launch planned around Computex 2021.

After announcing Safe Documents earlier this year, Microsoft has now made its new Office 365 ProPlus security feature available to both Microsoft 365 E5 and E5 security customers. The software giant's Safe Documents feature expands on its existing security feature Protected View which helps secure documents that originate outside of an organization whether they be downloaded from the internet, received as an email attachment or opened from an unsafe storage location. Protected View places these files in a sandbox so that users can view them safely without the risk that they might spread malware or some other virus to the rest of their organization. However, workers sometimes need to edit these files and this is where Safe Documents comes into play. If Safe Documents is activated, files are sent to Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) where they are scanned before a user is allowed to exit Protected View and edit them. Safe Documents Protected View remains active while a file is being scanned. However, if the file is deemed safe by Microsoft Defender ATP, an “Enable Editing” button appears and users can then exit Protected View and edit the file. If a file is found to be malicious or contain suspicious functions, the file is blocked from leaving Protected View and an alert is sent back to an organization's Office 365 dashboard. Safe Documents is now available for Office 365 customers with an E5 license but the feature is disabled by default. This means that administrators will have to manually enable it from their Office 365 dashboards. Once enabled though, the feature becomes active for all of an organization's users. While Protected View allows users to view any document they find online, Safe Documents gives them the ability to edit these files once they have been scanned for malware and other potential threats.

The ultimate exponent of the Porsche family of trucks perfectly exemplifies its founder's mantra ... "We make cars that no one needs, but everyone wants." We could say that Porsche gets a little late in the fashion of the SUV Coupe, and that is that the pioneer, the BMW X6 arrived on the market in a distant 2008 and is currently already in its third generation. It goes without saying that the exercise was successful, otherwise it would not have been followed by Mercedes-Benz, Audi and the one that concerns us today. Speaking of volume, SUV Coupes don't represent too many units, however, having average prices several tens of thousands of pesos higher compared to their more traditional counterparts, they are big business. The trend has been spreading, in principle within the premium catalog, although in mainstream brands it is about to explode. The first with a generalist emblem that we will see in our country will be the Volkswagen Teramont Cross Sport, this year. And several more should follow in the years to come. Personally, I was never very convinced by this concept, since it sacrifices some space and practicality in a type of vehicle whose main reason for being is precisely to deliver better values in those sections compared to a sedan. But this is how fashions are, they are usually not rational at all. That said, the Porsche Cayenne Coupé is probably the one that best manages to deliver a coupe silhouette thanks to a pair of very clever design gadgets, and yes at the end of the day it's a Cayenne, but being 20mm shorter and 18mm wider and thanks to a sharper rear design, it manages to have its own and very athletic personality, it must be said. Design Viewed from the side, the Cayenne Coupé successfully achieves its goal of delivering a silhouette as its name implies, a coupe and not only that, but designers also found ways to replicate the shapes of the iconic 911 quite well. But this is a visual effect achieved by the upper frame of the glazed surface, since the awning is actually somewhat higher and does not have such a steep drop, the deception is achieved due to a very intelligent solution that uses two elements ; On the one hand, the awning is black, and second, there is a good size spoiler just where the awning and medallion meet. Thus the designers managed to maintain excellent levels of headroom in the second row while still delivering a very sporty design. Obviously the tailgate is much more inclined compared to that of a common Cayenne and finish the glass we find the first active spoiler in an SUV. Same that automatically unfolds from 90 km / h and that to the discontent of many, it is no longer possible to activate manually. Well it is possible, but only while detained and for cleaning and maintenance. The test model also included the striking optional Lava Orange color that costs almost 50 thousand pesos, as well as the Sport package (another almost 200 thousand pesos more) that adds a carbon fiber awning, with which it is not possible to have a panoramic roof. and the gigantic 22-inch wheels. Overall, the appearance is attractive, aggressive and even intimidating, just what buyers of this type of product are looking for. Mechanics Speaking of iron, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupé boasts the most sophisticated found in the industry, the 4.0-liter biturbo V8 delivering 550 hp and 568 pound-feet of torque. This beastly block allows this 2,200-pound titan to accelerate 3.9 seconds when the Sport Chrono Package is equipped. The transmission is Tiptronic 8-speed, that is, there is no PDK here and this is because, according to the research of Porsche, SUVs are used to drag, yes even those with such a sporty cut, and double clutch boxes simply do not they are suitable for this type of work. However, there is no cause for concern, the eight-ratio ZF is still the best there is in the industry. It can be the smoothest of transitions or very fast and in the case of the Cayenne Turbo Coupé, the management allows for tremendously sporty handling, I mean keeping the tachometer in the red zone as much as you need or making downshifts by tying up the throttle. Continuing with the technological arsenal, it has a height-adjustable air suspension that, having three air chambers, provides a giant range between the softest and stiffest damping point. Thus, it can deliver a very smooth and comfortable ride or be very hard, so much so that it even punishes the lower back a little. The rear axle is directional, bringing benefits of both cornering stability at high speeds and parking maneuvers, and the 410mm 10-piston caliper brakes with Tungsten Carbide cover are wonderful, as much as I tried to abusing them, they never showed signs of fatigue. Of course, this time I could not drive on the track, so the performance would have to be seen there, but being an intermediate step between the conventional iron system and the carbon-ceramic, they must comply very well.

NVIDIA has added a third variant to its growing Ampere A100 GPU family, the A100 PCIe which is PCIe 4.0 compliant and comes in the standard full-length, full height form factor compared to the mezzanine board we got to see earlier. NVIDIA's A100 Ampere GPU Gets PCIe 4.0 Ready Form Factor - Same GPU Configuration But at 250W, Up To 90% Performance of the Full 400W A100 GPU Just like the Pascal P100 and Volta V100 before it, the Ampere A100 GPU was bound to get a PCIe variant sooner or later. Now NVIDIA has announced that its A100 PCIe GPU accelerator is available for a diverse set of use cases with system ranging from a single A100 PCIe GPU to servers utilizing two cards at the same time through the 12 NVLINK channels that deliver 600 GB/s of interconnect bandwidth. In terms of specifications, the A100 PCIe GPU accelerator doesn't change much in terms of core configuration. The GA100 GPU retains the specifications we got to see on the 400W variant with 6912 CUDA cores arranged in 108 SM units, 432 Tensor Cores and 40 GB of HBM2 memory that delivers the same memory bandwidth of 1.55 TB/s (rounded off to 1.6 TB/s). The main difference can be seen in the TDP which is rated at 250W for the PCIe variant whereas the standard variant comes with a 400W TDP. Now we can guess that the card would feature lower clocks to compensate for the less TDP input but NVIDIA has provided the peak compute numbers and those remain unaffected for the PCIe variant. The FP64 performance is still rated at 9.7/19.5 TFLOPs, FP32 performance is rated at 19.5 /156/312 TFLOPs (Sparsity), FP16 performance is rated at 312/624 TFLOPs (Sparsity) & INT8 is rated at 624/1248 TOPs (Sparsity). According to NVIDIA, the A100 PCIe accelerator can deliver 90% the performance of the A100 HGX card (400W) in top server applications. This is mainly due to the less time it takes for the card to achieve the said tasks however, in complex situations which required sustained GPU capabilities, the GPU can deliver anywhere from up to 90% to down to 50% the performance of the 400W GPU in the most extreme cases. NVIDIA told that the 50% drop will be very rare and only a few tasks can push the card to such extend. There's a wide scale adoption being made possible already by NVIDIA and its server partners for the said PCIe based GPU accelerator which include: ASUS will offer the ESC4000A-E10, which can be configured with four A100 PCIe GPUs in a single server. Atos is offering its BullSequana X2415 system with four NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core GPUs. Cisco plans to support NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core GPUs in its Cisco Unified Computing System servers and in its hyperconverged infrastructure system, Cisco HyperFlex. Dell Technologies plans to support NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core GPUs across its PowerEdge servers and solutions that accelerate workloads from edge to core to cloud, just as it supports other NVIDIA GPU accelerators, software and technologies in a wide range of offerings. Fujitsu is bringing A100 GPUs to its PRIMERGY line of servers. GIGABYTE will offer G481-HA0, G492-Z50 and G492-Z51 servers that support up to 10 A100 PCIe GPUs, while the G292-Z40 server supports up to eight. HPE will support A100 PCIe GPUs in the HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Server, and for accelerated HPC and AI workloads, in the HPE Apollo 6500 Gen10 System. Inspur is releasing eight NVIDIA A100-powered systems, including the NF5468M5, NF5468M6 and NF5468A5 using A100 PCIe GPUs, the NF5488M5-D, NF5488A5, NF5488M6 and NF5688M6 using eight-way NVLink, and the NF5888M6 with 16-way NVLink. Lenovo will support A100 PCIe GPUs on select systems, including the Lenovo ThinkSystem SR670 AI-ready server. Lenovo will expand availability across its ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile portfolio in the fall. One Stop Systems will offer its OSS 4UV Gen 4 PCIe expansion system with up to eight NVIDIA A100 PCIe GPUs to allow AI and HPC customers to scale out their Gen 4 servers. Quanta/QCT will offer several QuantaGrid server systems, including D52BV-2U, D43KQ-2U and D52G-4U that support up to eight NVIDIA A100 PCIe GPUs. Supermicro will offer its 4U A+ GPU system, supporting up to eight NVIDIA A100 PCIe GPUs and up to two additional high-performance PCI-E 4.0 expansion slots along with other 1U, 2U and 4U GPU servers. NVIDIA hasn't announced any release date or pricing for the card yet but considering the A100 (400W) Tensor Core GPU is already being shipped since its launch, the A100 (250W) PCIe will be following its footsteps soon.
