BMW introduced just a few hours ago one of its most iconic models, the BMW 4 Series Coupé, which a few years ago was always known as the 3 Series Coupé. This new Series 4 had given a lot to talk about in the last months since some aesthetic advances and leaks had shown somewhat striking aesthetic features. But finally it has been completely unveiled and we already have all the visual, technological and technical details at our disposal. The BMW 4 Series Coupe 2020 is presented with a great distinction at the design level compared to the car from which it derives directly, the 3 Series. It has its own personality and good proof of this is the front, which is completely new to BMW. Of course, its rivals are the same as always: Audi A5 Coupé and Mercedes C-Class Coupé. As we said, the main novelty is that its aesthetics has taken a turn with respect to what we have been seeing in all the predecessor generations. The new BMW 4 Series Coupe is not a 3 Series with the rear doors removed and the roof drop changed. It has another front, of course another silhouette design and the rear does not recall the Series 3 either, but rather the Series 8. Aesthetically distancing yourself from the BMW 3 Series For many months we have been talking about the front and that new characteristic grill. There have been many people who have criticized this element. Although it is true that we are not so familiar with it, perhaps we should give it a try. Of course, a pity that the registration is on it. The grill has nothing to do with the XXL seen in the BMW 7 Series and X7. This one is big, but it is not as wide and it is more vertical. The interior dithering also attracts attention. It is very likely that, if it convinces the public, this "front kidneys" design will be incorporated into new models as they are renewed or even updated in restylings. But it is not only the grill that changes. Look at the aggressive shapes of the bumper, the new LED headlights (they can also have optional LED Laser lighting) that seem to have an Asian origin because they are too torn, or the dynamism that the corners of this bumper convey. In addition, there are many nerves and tension lines, such as those that run the entire hood towards the windshield. The side is the usual in a coupe model. We have a sloping windshield and a smooth drop from the roof that ends in a small spoiler on the edge of the boot lid. The front doors are large, as usual, and the waist line at the back is noticeably noticeable. In addition, it partially shows the rear lights in this side view. To finish, we find a rear that is very reminiscent of the BMW 8 Series Coupe. It is not traced, because it has some details of its own, but it can be seen that it has taken much of the design of the largest of BMW coupes. As expected, these taillights have LED lighting. Perhaps what you like the least is the bottom in glossy black, as well as the shape of the exhaust outlets, although this is more a matter of taste.

Sweden's decision not to impose a strict blockade in response to the covid-19 pandemic led to too many deaths. This was recognized on Wednesday by the man behind that policy, the Swedish epidemiologist Anders Tegnell. Sweden experienced a much higher death rate than its closest neighbors, and its citizens are prohibited from crossing its borders. Dr Tegnell said on Swedish radio that more should have been done from the start. As of June 3, Sweden records 4,542 deaths and 40,803 cases of covid-19 in a po[CENSORED]tion of ten million, according to a Johns Hopkins University count. Meanwhile, Denmark, Norway and Finland, which imposed blockades, the numbers of confirmed cases and deaths are much lower. Denmark records 580 deaths; Norway, 237; and Finland, 321. How Tegnell's views changed Dr. Tegnell, who is the epidemiologist in charge of Sweden's response to covid-19, told the BBC in April that the high number of deaths was mainly due to nursing homes being unable to contain the disease, although he emphasized that he did not disqualify "the strategy as a whole". Two months later, the specialist has another opinion. "If we were to encounter the same disease again, knowing exactly what we know today, I think we would settle for doing something between what Sweden did and what the rest of the world has done," he told Swedish public radio. When asked if he believed that many people had died too soon, Tegnell replied, "Yes, absolutely." However, he was not specific in detailing what Sweden should have done differently and in a press conference later on Wednesday stressed: "Basically we still believe that this is the right strategy for Sweden." Trying to guide the response to the covid-19 was like handling an ocean liner, as each measurement took three to four weeks to complete, Tegnell compared.

Gartner predicts the video conferencing market will grow by 24.3 percent this year The coronavirus pandemic has led to increased adoption of video conferencing software and services and the latest forecast from Gartner predicts that global end-user spending on cloud-based web conferencing solutions will grow by 24.3 percent in 2020. The video conferencing user base will continue to expand throughout this year though the research and advisory firm believes growth will taper off in 2021 as the lasting effects of a remote workforce make video conferencing services commonplace. End-user spending on video conferencing is projected to reach $4.1bn in 2020 which is up from $3.3bn last year. Video conferencing is the second-fastest growing category in the unified communications market behind spending on cloud-based phone systems which are forecast to reach $16.8bn this year. By 2024, Gartner predicts that in-person meetings will account for just 25 percent of enterprise meetings, representing a drop from 60 percent prior to the pandemic. Corporate account misuse While more organizations are using video conferencing services, a new survey of 5,000 remote workers from OneLogin found that 33 percent of workers have used a corporate Zoom account for online socializing with friends or family since they began working from home. To make matters worse, 30 percent of those surveyed admitted to having an online account compromised during that time and 10 percent of these employees failed to change their password afterward. Even though corporations own and are responsible for the devices that employees are using to potentially expose them to security breaches, half of organizations worldwide have not established cybersecurity guidelines for remote work. In a press release, CEO and president of OneLogin, Brad Brooks provided further details on the company's 2020 COVID-19 State of Remote work Survey Report , saying: “Working from home has invited unprecedented challenges to cybersecurity. As the lines between personal and corporate worlds continue to blur, it’s critical that organizations adopt technology and policies that make it as simple as possible for employees to keep systems secure.”

There's a small selection of passively cooled cases out there but when done right, they look quite incredible. A user on Reddit (u/dllfphoto) has submitted his amazing build which he assembled in Streamcom's DB4 passive chassis, utilizing an AMD Ryzen CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX GPU. AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8 Core CPU & NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Featured Inside An Entirely Passive Cooled SFF PC The user who is a content creator and a professional photographer has built this PC for his wife and looks absolutely stunning. What's even better is that all of it is featured inside the passively cooled Streamcom DB4 chassis which makes use of fanless design and has an internal volume of 18.25 liters. The chassis is also very compact and ideal for small form factor PC builders, measuring at just 260 x 260 x 270mm (W x D x H). Streamcom's DB4 comes with all the necessary cooling equipment in the form of four 6mm heat pipes with a cooling capacity of 65W that is expandable up to 110W. The case panels themselves are also made out of all-aluminum metal that uses a sandblasted finish with 4mm thick extruded panels that the heat pipes are attached to so they can dissipate the heat outwards. The chassis weighs in at 7.5 kg with the metal design making up for most of the weight. The hardware used featured the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X which is a 65W chip on an ASUS ROG STRIX B450-I Gaming motherboard. The PC was coupled with 32 GB of G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4 ram clocking in at 3600 MHz, 2 TB of Sabrent Rocket PCIe NVMe SSD and a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER OC 4 GB graphics card. The DB4 features slightly longer feet with rubber pads for extra support but also due to the fact that the I/O goes at the bottom of this case. In addition to the I/O from the motherboard itself, the DB4 features 2 USB 3.0 ports at the bottom. The GPU which sits at the bottom makes use of Streamcom's GPU cooling kit by attaching the heatsink to a single side panel. Display outputs and the power connector have to be right-angled to avoid bending of the cables when running them through the bottom side of the chassis. Additional cooling is provided through Streamcom's LH6 CPU cooling kit which offers two-way heat dissipation for the CPU by attaching to the sides of the chassis. The PSU is an HDPlex 400W AC-DC design and is stated to be enough for the whole setup. Following is what the assembled PC looks like (via Imgur): A Noctua NF-A9x14 fan was thrown in temporarily to keep the PSU in check since it was starting to get a bit hot but it uses a low-noise adapter which should retain the noise-free passive design of the build. The case is also designed specifically for graphics cards with no external power plugs but since the GTX 1650 makes use of a 6-pin connector, it was really hard for the user to squeeze one into power the graphics card.

The White House even expanded the security perimeter. Many protesters have shown their outrage at how President Donald Trump is coping with the crisis. At the monument to President Abraham Lincoln in Washington, a BBC journalist witnessed the "emotional" moment when hundreds of protesters knelt and hugged in front of the National Guard line that prevented possible access to the monument.

The complexity of the automotive sector can be mutated to the plot dedicated to industrial vehicles. These types of models, although we remember them rough and of low quality, have evolved a lot in recent years. The most important change they have faced is the incorporation into electric mobility and hydrogen fuel cells. Mitsubishi FUSO is one of the most important manufacturers, and its name surely sounds familiar to you. You may think that it is included under the umbrella of the Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) but no, it is not. The parent company that it depends on is Daimler AG and you will wonder what the German paints in this? Simple: Mitsubishi FUSO was born from the collaboration between the house of the three diamonds and the defunct Chrysler LLC. When the American was abandoned by Daimler AG, they kept this subsidiary and so on, to this day. Mitsubishi FUSO has a minimal shareholder relationship with MMC Clarifying everything so that we don't lie, Mitsubishi FUSO is under the economic protection of Daimler AG. Of course, on a commercial and image level, it uses the logo of its original parent company. In addition, to further point out, the Japanese still maintains a small share package, although not control. All in all, the German conglomerate is ordering its commercial structure to prioritize the sales of those brands with the highest demand. And what does all this mean, simple: those responsible for the firm have decided to leave the US and Canada. The reasons for this have not been disclosed, although the published press release indicates their regret at the decision taken. Furthermore, they want to reassure the sales network and customers by announcing that warranty repairs, maintenance services and spare parts will be available until 2028. It is clear that dealing with trucks is not common in Actualidad Motor, but this news is relevant due to its importance. The automobile and industrial vehicle industry is experiencing a very complex and difficult transition period. It is forcing manufacturers to reposition themselves and Daimler AG is going to embark on a new path alongside Volvo Truck. It remains to be seen if this withdrawal does not affect more markets and involves a dismantling.

"I am their president of law and order." This is how Donald Trump defined himself on Monday when addressing the nation to address the situation of protests and riots that involves the United States in a deep social crisis for a week. "What happened yesterday was total shame," said the US president, referring to the riots on Sunday night in the capital, near the White House. Trump stated that if state and local authorities are unable to contain the unrest, he is ready to deploy the military. "I will quickly solve the problem for them," he said. "I am now deploying thousands upon thousands of heavily armed soldiers, military personnel, and law enforcement officers to end unrest, looting, vandalism, assault, and senseless destruction of property." The soldiers will already be deployed to the city of Washington, which is under the jurisdiction of the nation's government, As he spoke, the police were heard firing tear gas at protesters a few meters from the White House. "Domestic terrorism" At the beginning of his speech, Trump had words with which he recognized the outrage at the death of George Floyd, who has been the trigger for these days of pain and fury in the United States. "All Americans were rightly nauseated and nauseated by the brutal death of George Floyd," Trump said before promising that the 46-year-old man "will not have died in vain." But then he added that Floyd's memory should not "be drowned out by an angry mass." "I am their president of law and order and an ally of all peaceful protests," he continued. "But these are not acts of peaceful protest," he warned. "They are acts of domestic terrorism." "In recent days our nation has been seized by professional anarchists, violent masses, arsonists, looters, criminals, Antifa and others."

New research from ExpressVPN has revealed that while many Americans distrust contact tracing apps, they are still willing to use them for the greater good during the global pandemic. The VPN provider surveyed 1,200 American adults to find that 75 percent of respondents believe that contact tracing apps violate a person's privacy and 77 percent think these apps put them are at risk of long term mass surveillance. However, Americans do realize that these uncertain times require complex, out-of-the-box solutions. Despite the potential loss of privacy as a result of contact tracing apps, 59 percent of those surveyed did indicate a willingness to forgo some of their rights for the sake of public health. “It’s clear that most Americans are invested in the public-health benefits of using contact-tracing technology. However, privacy concerns continue to weigh heavily, and it’s clear that governments and tech companies need to place clear limits and safeguards on contact-tracing efforts,” Contact tracing apps Google and Apple have developed a contact tracing API which use Bluetooth and GPS data to provide a low-cost solution to find out who those infected with Covid-19 have come into contact with. Contact tracing is not a new idea and in the past, it has been done manually but this requires a lot more work as well as time. Singapore, South Korea, Iceland and Israel are all currently using contact tracing apps to fight the spread of Covid-19 while Australia and the UK are in the process of creating localized versions of these apps for their residents. However, states such as New York, California and Massachusetts have eschewed contact tracing apps and have instead decided to take an analog approach. These states have hired tens of thousands of people to act as manual contact tracers and doctors and public health officials across the US are urging the federal government to follow suit. They argue that manual contact tracing has been practiced for decades and the current situation is too dire to use an untested tech-based approach. Over half (54%) of ExpressVPN survey respondents expressed willingness to voluntarily download a contact tracing app, though concerns about potential data misuse are still high. Of those surveyed, 84 percent believe the government could overstep its boundaries with the data and 79 percent believe that tech giants could as well. Contact tracing will soon be coming to your iPhone or Android smartphone. In fact, Apple's latest iOS 13.5 update includes a new feature called Exposure Notifications that contains the API needed for contact tracing apps to function. The update also makes it easier to use Apple's Face ID when wearing a face mask so that users don't have to remove them to unlock their phones.

Intel's first discrete graphics card featuring the Xe DG1 GPU has been benchmarked in 3DMark. Spotted by TUM_APISAK in the Firestrike benchmark, the Xe DG1 GPU showcases performance which excels all existing integrated GPUs while playing catch up with entry-level discrete boards from competitors. Intel's First Discrete Graphics Card Featuring The Xe DG1 GPU Benchmarked - Almost on Par With Entry-Level Graphics Cards There are no specifications provided within the leaked benchmark result but what is interesting is that this specific Xe GPU was benchmarked alongside the Core i9-9900K. We know for a fact that the Core i9-9900K doesn't feature any Xe GPU onboard itself so this is clearly a test board of the DG1 GPU which will be featured on mobility products. In terms of raw performance, the Xe DG1 GPU based graphics card scored 5960 points which put it on par with the GeForce GTX 950 or if you want an even more interesting comparison, just as fast as the once flagship GeForce GTX 680. The GeForce GTX 1050 is still a faster chip than the Xe DG1 GPU since it scores around 500-800 points more in the same benchmark. The Polaris lineup from AMD offers slightly better performance with the likes of the Radeon RX 560 which sits around 200-300 points higher than the Xe DG1 GPU. While the result is nothing to be excited about, it does give us a glimpse of what to expect from a more optimized version of the Xe DG1 GPU which will be embedded in notebooks and laptops in the second half of 2020. Once again, we had stated this earlier but it needs to be cleared out that all Xe DG1 graphics boards are either test units or SDV (Software Development Vehicles) and won't get a retail launch. The Xe DG1 GPU is primarily a mobility GPU that will be featured in laptops as either a discrete GPU option or an integrated GPU on Intel's Tiger Lake CPUs. The former makes it more interesting which is if Intel could manage to deliver optimized graphics performance in the end product which matches entry-level graphics cards than AMD and NVIDIA will definitely feel the heat. AMD currently relies on its Vega GPU architecture for integrated GPU which has seen a refined 7nm version with Renoir APUs while NVIDIA is still using Pascal to power its MX line of entry-level discrete chips for mobile form factors with a Turing based lineup in the works.

It won't have the racing character of a Hyundai N, but it promises very nimble performance and good aesthetics. A few weeks ago, Hyundai unveiled the new generation of the Elantra 2021 worldwide, a car that offers a fairly breakthrough design for the sedan segment, far removed from the conservative style of past versions. But the news does not end there, since through various teasers, Hyundai advances the Elantra N Line, which will distinguish itself by adding specific elements from the Hyundai N sports division and an improvement of the mechanical part to remain, for now, as the most radical Elantra, until a full-fledged Elantra N appears. According to Hyundai, the Elantra N Line will not only enjoy a sporty image, but also a slightly more dynamic handling, since both the suspension and other elements of the chassis will have a new set-up. Hyundai has also indicated that the Elantra N Line will add a new turbocharged engine, which will position it, for the moment, as the top-of-the-range model. No further details have been confirmed, but it is almost a fact that it is the 1.6-liter capable of generating 201 Hp and 264 Nm of torque, associated with a seven-shift double-clutch automatic transmission. Yes, the same that we know in the KIA Cerato GT.

Following the death of African-American George Floyd while in police custody, the streets of Minneapolis and other cities in the United States have become the scene of protests and violent riots. The fury, which has spread to more than 30 US cities and has led authorities in several of them to enact curfews, was unleashed after a video was released showing the 46-year-old man in the He is hard-breathing with a white police officer pressing his knee against his neck. Floyd tries to ask for help and repeatedly yells "I can't breathe." Subsequently, the man appears motionless in the images, before being put on a stretcher and transferred in an ambulance. Derek Chauvin, the policeman pictured here, was arrested and charged with third-degree murder on Friday for his alleged responsibility in the victim's death. Three other Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) officers were fired. The FBI joined the investigation into the events.

Hong Kong (CNN Business) - Renault will cut 14,600 jobs as part of a major overhaul designed to cut costs and help the French automaker survive the coronavirus pandemic. Some 4,600 jobs will be cut in France, with 10,000 more in other markets. The company announced on Friday that it will cut costs by more than 2 billion euros ($ 2.2 billion) in the next 3 years. It also plans to reduce the number of cars it makes each year from 4 million to 3.3 million by 2024, and will stop selling Renault-brand vehicles in China. Renault is part of the world's largest automobile manufacturing alliance, along with Nissan and Mitsubishi. Earlier this week, the companies announced that they would make fewer models, share production facilities, and focus on each automaker's existing geographic and technological strengths as they try to cut costs amid the coronavirus pandemic. Renault said changes were needed due to the magnitude of the economic consequences of the pandemic, as well as stricter emissions standards. The company, which employs 180,000 people worldwide, said it will consult with unions on the restructuring of some of its plants in France. "The planned changes are essential to ensure the sustainability of the company and its long-term development," said President Jean-Dominique Senard in a statement. Renault shares fell nearly 50% on the year. The decision to remove the Renault brand from China is part of the new alliance strategy, which will make each member take the lead in specific geographies while the others follow suit. Nissan will lead the way in North America, the Middle East, and key markets in Asia, including China and Japan. Renault will take first place in Europe and South America, while Mitsubishi has been assigned parts of Southeast Asia and Oceania. On Thursday, Nissan announced that it will reduce production capacity by 20% and close a plant in Spain as part of the review.

On a hot morning in the Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis, a 28-year-old man named Nuwman stands outside the Third Enclosure of the city's Police Department sipping great coffee while the smoke still comes out of the smoking ruins of the buildings. close. It was the third day in a row of protests over the death of George Floyd, 46, after a white police officer named Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. At the scene, where they had gone because they had denounced Floyd for allegedly trying to use a counterfeit ticket, along with Chauvin, at least three other agents acted. Floyd pleaded for his life before falling unconscious to the eye of witnesses and a cell phone camera. An ambulance took him away and he was pronounced dead in hospital. "This is a result of what happens every day. Every day these police officers have enforced their protocol have led to this situation," says Nuwman, as his voice rises with excitement at the noise of protesters and sirens. "This is not just a singular moment. It is a cataclysm. A combination of all the things that happened before." The same night of the day we spoke, protesters broke into the police station and forced the police to escape through the back parking lot. However, this is not the first time that police brutality against an African American has been reported in the region. In 2016, Philando Castile was shot dead by a police officer in a neighborhood just 15 minutes from the current epicenter of the protest. In 2017, a Minneapolis officer was charged with the shooting death of Justine Damond after the woman called to report a possible sexual assault. In 2015, protests erupted over the shooting death of Jamar Clark, a 24-year-old man who was being chased by Minneapolis officials. The three deaths provoked protest movements and yielded mixed results in terms of the prosecution of the alleged perpetrators. Yanez, the former officer who shot Castile, was tried and acquitted. Mohamed Noor, the former agent after the Damond case, was sentenced to 12.5 years. No charges were filed in the Clark case.

The app will focus on sporting events, starting with NASCAR. Facebook's app-focused New Product Experimentation (NPE) team on Friday released a second-screen companion app, called Venue, aimed at connecting fans and commentators during live events in a new interactive way. During a live event, commentators can host a venue on the app where they can provide commentary and post interactive questions and polls. Venue also lets commentators open up chats around event highlights by creating what Venue calls "moments." Fans are notified when a new moment is created so they can hop between the app and event. The app is initially focused on sporting events, starting with NASCAR races. "NASCAR has been one of the first sports to return to live action in the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic," product lead Manish Gaudi said in a release on Friday. "With fans currently unable to attend races, Venue is an excellent way for people to experience NASCAR together and share in all of the high-octane action." Venue is available on iOS and Android in the US. The NPE team earlier this week also launched CatchUp, an experimental app for voice calls, and a Tik-Tok inspired music-making app called Collab.

For those consumers who don't have the money or can't justify the high asking price of the X570 motherboards, B550 motherboards are the way to go when building an AMD Ryzen PC. They have just enough features at a reasonable price point. They are the option for your average consumers, and with the pricing that has been announced, they are well in the budget for lower-end systems. Gigabyte B550 Motherboards Ranging From $99 TO $279 Packed With All The Essential Features For AMD's Ryzen CPUs Gigabyte's community manager on Reddit posted a sheet with all of the pricing of the AMD B550 series. This sheet has given us a look into the pricing of the B550 boards, but the prices seem to be 20% more expensive B450 boards. The most expensive board is $279 while the cheapest on the spectrum is $99. The B550 AORUS Master leads the pack with a USD $279 price that puts it firmly in the premium segment where it matches features with boards based on the X570 and Intel's Z490 chipset. The second-best model goes for $189 which is the B550 AORUS Pro AC. The B550 AORUS Pro goes for $10 less at $179, and B550 AORUS Elite is priced at $159. If we move to the Gigabyte line, we see the B550 Gaming X going for $139. The micro-ATX B550M AORUS Pro goes for $129, while the B550M AORUS Elite goes for $109. The only model under $100 is only one dollar under which is the B550M Gaming. The AORUS/Gigabyte lineup is next and consists of four B550 motherboards of which three are AORUS branded motherboards and a single is Gigabyte branded. In terms of VRM capabilities, it looks like AORUS has some impressive options lineup up with the B550 AORUS Master offering a 14+2 phase Infineon Digital PWM (70A), the B550 AORUS PRO offering a 12+2 Intersil Digital PWM with 50A DrMOS stages, B550I AORUS PRO AX offering a 6+2 phase Intersil Digital PWM with 90A Dr.MOS stages and finally, the B550 Vision D which packs a 12+2 phase Intersil 50A PWM design. These motherboards might have a 20% price increase, but they are still much cheaper options than the X570 line with many of the same features. These options are great for those looking to build a system on a smaller budget.

The year was 1995, times when unfortunately for any citizen of this country the terrorist group ETA acted with great force and with many means. The one who at that time was the candidate for the presidency of the government of Spain, José María Aznar, was in the crosshairs of the terrorists. A bomb was detonated shortly after 8 in the morning, at the crossroads between José Silva and Arturo Soria streets in the city of Madrid. Aznar's official car was an Audi V8 with a very strong armor, which allowed him to escape unscathed. Unfortunately, there were about fifteen wounded and one fatality. Now that car that literally saved his life is up for auction. Many collectibles and historical vehicles from “Desguaces La Torre” will be available in an online auction from July 2 to 7. There are not a few striking, classic and historical cars that can be purchased, but honestly, the vehicle that has caught our attention the most for everything it meant on that morning of April 19, 1995. To mention just a few renowned models available in this auction, which, incidentally, will be carried out by the International Auction Group (IAG Auction), we can talk about cars such as a 1924 Hispano Suiza, a beautiful 97 Ferrari 355 Spider, a Metallurguique 18 CV from 1914 and even a perfectly restored Renault Fredes Billantcourt from 1900. Another historic car is the 1937 Ford 817T, which was one of five cars used by Francisco Franco during the Civil War. Finally, historical competition cars such as Citroën AX Proto from 1993 Rally Champion of Spain, a unique model in the world with a handcrafted volumetric compressor motor, or the Hispakart Formula IV of the 60s among many more models.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced this Friday that he will end his country's relationship with the World Health Organization (WHO), which he questions about the management of the coronavirus crisis. The US president, who made his decision public in a statement to the press in which he did not admit questions, justified the measure arguing that the WHO had not implemented the reforms that the United States had demanded a few weeks ago. Washington wanted the organization to be more demanding of the Chinese government, where the world's first covid-19 case was reported, and accused Beijing of "ignoring its obligations to report" about the virus to the WHO. In April, Trump had temporarily suspended his country's contributions to the WHO budget, estimated at about $ 450 million a year, equivalent to 15% of the institution's budget. Now that decision seems to have become permanent. The United States is the country in the world with the highest number of confirmed infections, more than 1,700,000, and deaths, more than 102,000, according to figures on Friday compiled by Johns Hopkins University. President Trump also accused China of pressuring the WHO to "deceive the world" when they discovered the disease in that country. "China has complete control over the WHO even though it only pays $ 40 million a year, compared to what the United States has been paying, which is about $ 450 million a year," Trump said. What is WHO WHO is a specialized UN agency that aims to "promote health, keep the world safe and serve the vulnerable." It has offices in 150 countries and global reach. In cases of pandemics such as the covid-19, WHO is the world reference institution that serves to guide and help coordinate health policies in most states. For this reason, Trump was harshly criticized by many governments and specialists when last April he decided to suspend US contributions. to WHO. "This is like taking funding away from the fire department just when you are facing a devastating fire," Jack Chow, a former US ambassador for the global fight against HIV and a former WHO deputy director, told the BBC World at the time. Beyond the covid-19 crisis, WHO offers technical and scientific advice to many countries to apply best practices in their health policies and to expand people's access to basic health and nutrition services. In addition, it plays a prominent role in the fight against diseases such as polio and tuberculosis. However, the US president is not the only one who sees failures in the performance of that body. Amid criticism of the pandemic's management, many specialists question that the WHO has allowed China to delay the entry of the first international group of experts to Wuhan until mid-February. They also criticize that it has delayed the global health emergency declaration and that when the US He banned flights to China from saying that such measures were unnecessary. The government of Taiwan, for its part, assures that it warned the WHO in advance of the evidence that the covid-19 was spread between people, but affirms that the institution waited 15 days -until China reached the same conclusion- to alert the world. The WHO Director General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, has defended the role of the institution, ensuring that it has always been guided by scientific and professional criteria. The Chinese government, for its part, has also vehemently rejected the allegations of alleged attempts to conceal what it knew about the pandemic, saying that what they are trying to do in the United States is divert attention from its own failings in managing the health crisis. In mid-May, Beijing pledged to contribute $ 2 billion to WHO over the next two years to combat the pandemic.

Just tap the blue dot in the app to create a unique location ID that you can share with others. Sharing your location is a cinch if you're just talking about a home address. But if you're somewhere without an address that's easy to locate, things get trickier. Now, Google has a solution that lets Android users share a six-digit Plus Code with their specific location straight from the Google Maps app. "Simply tap the blue dot to get a Plus Code for your current location that can be shared with others as easily as giving them a phone number," Google said in a blog post Thursday. "Beyond using the blue dot, you can also find the Plus Code for a location by tapping and holding the map to drop a pin at a location you want a Plus Code for." Share that Plus Code with someone trying to find you or meet you at a specific location, and they'll be able to enter the digits straight into Google Maps to navigate accordingly. The feature is free to use and open source, which allows users to see how it works and develop their own ways of putting it to use.Look for the feature in an upcoming version of the Google Maps app, due out on Android in the coming weeks.

A rumor from twitter (@mebiuw via Videocardz) is making the rounds and contradicting the DigiTimes report from earlier today about AMD planning to skip directly top 5nm for Vermeer. While the tweet has since been deleted, it is from an account that has posted reliable leaks in the past and as such, could very well turn out to be true (historically, tweets that are deleted have a very high probability of being legitimate). By the way, mind that rumor tag and keep that lovable grain of salt handy. AMD Ryzen 5000 Series CPUs Codenamed "Warhol": features PCIe 4, Zen 3 architecture and 7nm process A recent report out of Taiwan caused quite the stir by stating that AMD was planning on making a surprise shift to TSMC's 5nm+ process in time for a launch at CES 2021. Such a move would absolutely upset the semiconductor industry and change the dynamics of silicon leadership completely as well. However, one of the regular leakers has released an AMD slide that appears to show that the company's Warhol based chips (that succeed Vermeer) are also based on 7nm with Raphael following on 5nm. If this is the case then the CES 2021 launch would probably be with 7nm chips and not 5nm. Interestingly, not only do you learn that Warhol is the codename of the Ryzen 5000 series processors designed to succeed Vermeer but that Raphael is the codename for what I presume is the Ryzen 6000 series. It will be based on Zen 4 and feature TSMC's 5nm process. This also confirms that AMD has no intention of stopping its aggressive strategy with regards to node shifts. The leaker also pointed out that the design rules of N7 are not the same as N5 so a surprise shift to 5nm might actually not be possible in this short a time span: WikiChip mentions the roadmap of TSMC's process node and how they stack up to their predecessors: TSMC 7nm (N7P) +7% Better Performance at same power versus N7 10% power savings at the same performance versus N7 TSMC 7nm (N7+) +10% Better Performance at same power versus N7 15% power savings at the same performance versus N7 TSMC 5nm (N5) +15% Better Performance at same power versus N7 30% power savings at the same performance versus N7 TSMC 5nm (N5P) +7% Better Performance at same power versus N5 15% power savings at the same performance versus N5 As you can see the transition from N7 to N5 is a huge one (the power saving is the dead give away) and this does not actually account for the density increases yet. Shifting to a lower process not only results in higher economies of scale but allows you to pack more transistors in the same space. That said, this leak contradicts DigiTimes report and says that Zen 3 engineering samples have already been fabricated on theN7P process. If this is the case, then it would be very hard to port it to N5 in a short amount of time. But it should be easy to port it to N7+ - which is the node based on EUV and will offer much higher clock rates and power savings. [opinion] We very rarely see multiple leaks directly contradict each other in such a short time span and since both sources have proven to be reliable in the past I am not entirely sure what to make of this. Digitimes has a much larger history of accurate leaks but their claim is shocking to say the least, @MebiuW has a far less impressive track record but the evidence of the slides + the logic of the claims makes it very hard to pick a side here. [/opinion]

The design icon enters its eighth generation with more power and updated features. Porsche continues to expand the range of the eighth generation of the nine-eleven -992-, and this time it is the turn of the 911 Targa, which, as always, is distinguished by the design of the roof, the roll bar and the wraparound rear window. It comes in Targa 4 and Targa 4S versions. This signature design is complemented by a 3.0 turbo six-cylinder boxer engine, an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (a seven-speed manual as an option on the 911 Targa 4S version) and a four-wheel drive system. n the 911 Targa 4 version, the power is 385 Hp (9 Hp more than before) and 449 Nm of torque (8 Nm more), and in combination with the optional Sport Chrono pack, it offers acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.2 seconds, one tenth faster than in the previous model. The 911 Targa 4S has 450 Hp (23 Hp more) and 529 Nm of torque (30 Nm more), and from the hand of the Sport Chrono, it does 0 to 100 km / h in 3.6 seconds, this is four tenths less than its predecessor. Now when it comes to top speed, the 911 Targa 4 is capped at 289 km / h (2 km / h more than before), while the 4S reaches 304 km / h (3 km / h more than before). Regarding innovations, this version of the 911 features for the first time the Porsche InnoDrive, which integrates adaptive cruise control and the Smartlift function function, which raises the ground clearance on a programmed basis to raise the front in areas of frequent use. Another novelty of this new 911 Targa is the electronically controlled variable damping system (Porsche Active Suspension Management, PASM), the Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), which includes a rear electronic self-locking differential to distribute the torque, and the Porsche Wet mode, which adjusts the behavior of the vehicle in case water is detected on the surface. In addition to its Targa look, this 911 is distinguished by 19-inch wheels on the front axle and 20-inch wheels for the rear, pronounced fenders, a wider spoiler with variable extension and an integrated light strip between the headlamps. rear. After the appearance of the new Porsche 911 Targa, Ditec Automobiles confirmed its arrival in Chile for the third quarter of 2020.
