  1. In a 1930’s British empire still rife with undiscovered tombs and armies of evil monsters, four highly skilled adventurers must shoot, explode, and magically blast their way through an ancient witch queen’s undead horde. Gameplay is a familiar blend of Rebellion’s Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army and Tripewire’s Killing Floor, with undead (including huge boss characters) slowly encroaching on your position as each character utilizes a unique set of skills to blow them to chunks. In between battles (and occasionally during), you’ll solve some basic puzzles, loot secret treasure rooms, and infuse your guns with the best kind of magic—flammable.
  2. If you share the computer with friends, family, co-workers, etc., setting up a password is crucial to prevent them from logging into your account. A password also protects your data in case the device is stolen. Considering the login options, Windows 10 allows two types of user accounts: Microsoft account – you can use your Microsoft (Outlook, OneDrive, etc.) account credentials to login into Windows. The main advantage of a Microsoft account is that you can access all the services with a single password. Local account – if don’t want to link your Microsoft account, you can set separate user and password to login in Windows 10, similarly to what you may be used to do in older versions of Windows (2000, XP, etc.). A local account does not require a password; even though you are asked for it, you may skip this step. However, if you change your mind later, follow the steps in this tutorial to set a password to protect your account in Windows 10. Let’s see how to set the password. 1. Go to Settings Open up the Start menu and go to “Settings 2. Go to Accounts 3. Set the password Click “Add” to create a new password. Remember to set a strong password. Avoid weak passwords such as your year of birth, your name, your phone number, etc. You can also set a password hint, in case you forget the password later. 4. Test if the password works Open the Start menu, go to Power and Restart your computer. When the login screen appears, enter the password you set in the previous step. TIP: Once a password has been set, you can associate it with a PIN number, or you can create a picture password. These latter two options work better on touch-screen devices such as tablets. 3. 2018 Genesis G80 Buying Advice This is the best luxury car for you if you relish the idea of living in the biggest house in a neighborhood of medium-sized homes. South Korean automaker Hyundai created the Genesis brand for model-year 2017 to separate its upscale vehicles from its mainstream offerings. It’s a blueprint Toyota followed when it created Lexus, Honda when it spun off Acura, and Nissan when it spawned Infiniti. Genesis debuted with two four-door sedans, the midsize G80 and the full-size G90. The compact G70 sedan is coming for model-year 2019, and a crossover SUV, the GV80, is due in calendar 2019, likely as a 2020 model. Genesis is a new brand, but the G80 and G90 are based on cars originally sold as flagship models within the Hyundai lineup. The G80 was the Genesis Sedan and the G90 was the Equus. Genesis marketers position the G80 against the costlier Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, Cadillac CTS, Infiniti Q70, Jaguar XF, Lexus GS, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. However, given its price and pedigree, we place the G80 in a slightly less well-defined competitive set of upscale intenders such as the Chrysler 300, Toyota Avalon, and the Stinger from Hyundai’s corporate partner, Kia, as well as entry-level sedans from premium brands, such as the Acura TLX, Infiniti Q50, Lexus ES, and Lincoln MKZ. Despite a massive investment in engineering, marketing, and other resources, Hyundai has stumbled in getting its luxury marque off the ground. Initially, it said Genesis-brand vehicles could be sold only by top-performing Hyundai dealers and would share the showroom with mainstream Hyundai models. Then it mandated that the Genesis brand would be sold only in standalone facilities. Interested Hyundai dealers could make the investment in a new facility or take a cash buyout and forfeit their right to sell Genesis models. As of early summer 2018, Genesis cars were being sold at most Hyundai dealerships until standalone facilities were completed. Amid the transition, G80 sales were down 22 percent through April 2018. It was being easily outsold by all the aforementioned cars we placed in its competitive set, although it was outselling the Q70, XF, and GS. Should you buy a 2018 model or wait for the 2019? Buy a 2018. It marks the midcycle refresh of this second-generation Genesis sedan, which debuted as a Hyundai for the 2015 model year. With the Genesis brand focused on launching the G70 and GV80, expect the G80 to be virtually unchanged for model-year 2019, although it’ll almost certain be priced higher. Big news for the ‘18 G80 is addition of the 3.3T Sport model, a performance grade with an engine, suspension, and styling cues unique in the G80 lineup. It slots between the returning entry-level 3.8 model and the flagship 5.0 grade, both of which receive minor underhood updates designed to improve engine responsiveness and fuel economy. Other model-year ’18 changes include additional sound insulation and enhanced driver-assistance features. Rear-wheel drive is standard on every ’18 Genesis and all-wheel drive is optional. Changes Styling: The 2018 refresh gives the returning G80 3.8 and 5.0 models new standard wheels, upgraded headlights, and restyled front and rear fasciae. Their overall look is reminiscent of the Audi A6, no surprise given this car’s lead stylist spent a good portion of his career with the German automaker. Most appealing is the new 3.3T Sport, with its more aggressive front fascia, wire mesh grille, and blackout wheels. With impressive fit and finish and features like LED headlamps, leather upholstery, and a comprehensive set of safety kit standard, the G80 is appropriately premium and gets the Genesis brand off on the right foot. Still, this car is attempting to take on rivals from established luxury marques that have distinct identities. We think it’ll be another design generation or two before Genesis can truly claim it’s on even footing with them. We would also describe the interior as sufficiently premium. Headroom and legroom are among the best of any premium midsize sedan. Additional sound deadening material for 2018 means the G80 is exceptionally quiet, too. Materials quality is generally excellent, with available authentic Paldao and Sapele wood finishes lending an extra dose of class. The leather upholstery is lounge-chair plush but not so soft you feel you’re sinking into the seats. The 3.3T Sport cabin stands out for its metal and carbon-fiber trim pieces and unique three-spoke steering wheel. Trunk volume of 15.3 cubic feet is slightly above the premium-midsize-car average, but cargo versatility is compromised by rear seatbacks that don’t fold (there a center pass-through). Interior storage is quite good, with a generously sized glovebox and door pockets. For 2018, engineers added second USB power point to the center console, but there are no ports for rear-seat occupants. The G80’s upscale aspirations are letdown by an instrument cluster, window switches, gearshift lever, infotainment interface, and audio and climate controls that look and feel like they were taken out of Hyundai’s Elantra compact car. That surely saves cost, but won’t appeal to the BMW, Lexus, Audi, and Mercedes intenders Genesis hopes to lure. On the upside, Apple CarPlay, Google Android Auto, and an imbedded navigation system are standard. The 8-inch infotainment touchscreen included on the 3.8 model is adequate but the 9.2-inch display optional on the 3.8 and standard otherwise has crisper graphics. One G80 we tested, however, responded very slowly to inputs when using the imbedded navigation and CarPlay functions. Mechanical: Model designations are based on engine types. The 3.8 has a 3.8-liter V-6 with 311 horsepower and 293 pound-feet of torque and does 0-60 mph in about 6.5 seconds, on par with rivals of similar power. The 3.3T Sport employs a twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V-6 of 365 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque. We have not yet evaluated this model but expect it to be at least a second quicker to 60 than the 3.8. The range-topping 5.0 has a 5.0-liter V-8 with 420 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. This robust V-8 has ample muscle for any situation. All 2018 G80s have a well-sorted 8-speed automatic transmission that delivers immediate response to throttle inputs. Credit Hyundai with understanding a premium brand is best served by the handling balance and prestige of rear-wheel-drive-based engineering. All its Genesis vehicles have been rear-drive-based and the current line is available with all-wheel drive, a vital premium-brand sales feature in America’s snow-belt markets. On the road, the G80 attempts to blend the athleticism of an A6 or 5 Series and the cushioned comfort of an E-Class or MKZ. For the most part, it succeeds. Hyundai has over recent years refined the steering and suspension setup of all its vehicle. Indeed, most of the slop and annoying secondary motions that plagued the ride and handling of previous Genesis models have been eliminated. Still, the G80 3.8 and 5.0 don’t quite achieve the level of buttoned-down sophistication you’ll find in more established luxury competitors. Features: Happily, Hyundai’s corporate policy of packing vehicles with lots of creature comforts for the money carries over to the Genesis brand. Even the G80 3.8 comes very well equipped out of the box. Among its standard amenities are bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, power-folding auto-dimming exterior mirrors, leather upholstery, heated 12-way power adjustable front seats, heated steering wheel, driver seat memory, power tilt and telescopic steering column, dual-zone automatic climate control, imbedded navigation, and three years of Genesis Connected Services telematics. All models also include a comprehensive suite of driver-assistance features, including blind-spot alert with rear cross-traffic detection, lane-departure warning with automatic steering correction, automatic high-beam headlight control, and full-speed radar cruise control that can maintain a fixed distance from traffic ahead. New for 2018 is drowsy-driver alert. Further, the standard autonomous emergency braking system has been upgraded to include pedestrian detection. The 3.3T Sport gets unique exterior trim, a sport suspension, quad exhaust outlets, full LED headlights, alloy sport pedals, microfiber suede headliner, sport bucket seats with contrast stitching, extendable thigh support for the driver’s seat, full-color head-up instrument display, panoramic sunroof, surround-view camera, power trunk lid, wireless cell-phone charging pad, high-definition 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment, 17-speaker Lexicon-brand audio system, front- and rear-obstacle detection, ventilated front seats, power rear window sunshade, and heated rear seats, which are also standard on the AWD 3.8. The 5.0 model’s feature set is similar to that of the 3.3T Sport while adding the potent V-8 engine, specific interior trim, and manual rear side window sunshades. All Genesis cars benefit from Hyundai’s warranty of 5 years/60,000 miles bumper-to-bumper and 10 years/100,000 miles powertrain. Also included is 3 years/36,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance. Valet service is available provided you live within a certain radius of the dealership. Roadside assistance coverage is for three years with no mileage restriction. That’s a step down from Hyundai, which offers the same service for five years and unlimited miles. Prices Relative to its German-brand bogies, the G80 is priced quite aggressively. (Base prices include Genesis’s $995 destination fee.) With rear-wheel drive, the 3.8 starts at $42,745. Its $5,000 Premium Package adds LED foglights, a panoramic sunroof, a 14-speaker Lexicon audio system, wireless smartphone charger, obstacle detection, ventilated front seats, and rear sunshades. The $10,100 Ultimate Package includes the Premium Package plus nearly all the content that’s standard on the 3.3T Sport and 5.0 grades. The 3.3T and 5.0 have no factory options. With rear drive, these models are priced from $56,245 and $57,995, respectively. All-wheel drive adds $2,500 across the board and is a feature we strongly recommend if you live in wet and/or snowy climates. A 3.8L with either rear or AWD and no options is our pick for best value. If you can stretch your budget, we also like the more aggressive looks of the 3.3T Sport. Fuel Economy With no turbocharged four-cylinder engine available, G80’s EPA fuel-economy ratings track below the class average. Rear-drive versions rate 19/27/22 mpg city/highway/combined with the 3.8-liter V-6, 17/25/20 with the turbo V-6, and 16/24/19 with the V-8. All-wheel drive drops ratings to 18/25/20, 17/24/20, and 15/23/18 mpg, respectively. Our test AWD 3.8 averaged 21.2 mpg in our suburban test loop. Genesis recommends premium-grade 91-octane gasoline for the turbo V-6 and the 5.0-liter. The 3.8 uses regular-grade 87-octane. The other engines can use regular as well with a slight decrease in horsepower and torque. What’s Next? Probably not a whole lot for the next few model years. Hyundai is readying a turbodiesel four-cylinder engine for use in the G80, but availability will almost certainly be exclusive to Europe and South Korea. Expect the North American car to stand pat until the next-generation model debuts, likely for model-year 2021.

  6. Facebook rolled out its new video platform called Facebook Watch about a year ago promising original programming for fans to enjoy. Initially, the service was only available in the U.S.; Facebook is changing that with the announcement today that Facebook Watch is rolling out globally. Facebook is also taking the opportunity to talk a bit about the tweaks it has made to the service since it launched. Facebook Watch has become more social over the last year making it easier for users to see what videos your friends liked or shared and is bolstering its feature set to take on the dominant YouTube. The social network also opened Watch to videos from Pages. Facebook video content ranges from original programming to Major League Baseball Games. It also talks a bit about how many people are using Watch; each month more than 50 million people in the U.S. come to watch videos for at least a minute via the service. Time spent watching videos is trending upward for Watch with Facebook claiming that time spent watching videos is up 14x since the start of 2018. With Watch rolling out globally, the service offers a place to discover new videos in multiple categories via a personalized feed for each Facebook user. A Watchlist at the top of the Watch feed is a playlist of all the recent videos from pages that users follow. That section allows customization by removing Pages from your follow list within Watch or by adding more Pages. Watch is also a place for users to save videos they see in their newsfeed, but don’t have time to watch. The social network notes that over time new types of programming will be added to Watch, such as Watch Parties, Premiers, and other video content that focuses on audience participation. One such audience participation show is the trivia show Confetti. Facebook users can access Watch via iOS or Android apps by looking for the Watch icon on the shortcuts bar or the "More" bookmark. Other ways to Watch include Apple TV, Samsung Smart TV, Amazon Fire TC, Android TV, Xbox One, and Oculus TV.
  7. Lenovo is expanding its ThinkPad X1 family with the arrival of an even larger form-factor. Today, the company has announced the ThinkPad X1 Extreme, which touts a 15.6-inch display (a family first) and discrete graphics (also a first). Starting with that 15.6-inch display; it's a 4K HDR panel with Dolby Vision support, 100 percent Adobe RGB coverage, and it is backed by a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti MaxQ GPU. As you might expect for a modern notebook, the ThinkPad X1 Extreme is available with 8th generation Intel Core processors. Sitting at the top of the range will be the Core i9 complete with six physical cores and 12 threads, while RAM tops out at 64GB. The storage subsystem will also be top-notch, as the ThinkPad X1 Extreme supports dual PCIe SSDs along with both RAID 0 and RAID 1. When it comes to the ThinkPad X1 Extreme’s chassis, it features a top structure that is constructed of four layers of carbon fiber, while an aluminum alloy base is designed to keep the machine running cooler. Speaking of that combination of carbon fiber and aluminum, the lightweight materials allow the ThinkPad X1 Extreme tip the scales at a relatively low 3.76 pounds, which is 20 percent lighter than the ThinkPad T580. The heavy-hitting CPU and GPU would be for naught if there wasn't a beefy battery to power the whole show. In that regard, the ThinkPad X1 Extreme can last up to 15 hours per charge. But as an added bonus, Rapid Charge technology allows the machine to reach an 80 percent charge after just an hour plugged into the wall. n addition to its standard touch screen, the ThinkPad X1 Extreme comes with Dolby Atmos support, and supports both Amazon Alexa and Microsoft Cortana digital voice assistants thanks to far-field microphones. Lenovo says that the ThinkPad X1 Extreme will go on sale this September priced from $1,859.
  8. Argentina's central bank has raised interest rates to 60% as the value of the peso continues to plummet. The currency plunged by more than 15% in morning trade on Thursday, after falling 7% a day earlier. It comes after the International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreed to speed up its $50bn bailout to the country, citing "more adverse" market conditions. The move heightened investor fears about the country's economy. Argentina's central bank said Thursday's rate hike, from 45% to 60%, was a "response to the foreign exchange rate situation and the risk of greater inflation". It had already increased interest rates four times since April, most recently on 13 August. Those moves were precipitated by the sudden weakening of the peso in April as a drought hurt farm exports, energy prices climbed and a stronger dollar led investors to pull funds from emerging markets. In May, when Argentina sought the bailout from the IMF, President Mauricio Macri cast the request as a precautionary measure. Since then, however, the economic turmoil has continued. The peso has now fallen by more than 50% against the dollar this year. Market doubts By Daniel Gallas, South America Business Correspondent Interest rates of 40% already seemed like a bold idea back in May, when Argentina tried to stop a first run on its currency. Taking it now to 60% seems almost surreal. Getting 60% returns on loans seems like a fantastic business opportunity in any part of the world. But not if investors believe the peso won't be worth much a year from now, which is what is triggering the current devaluation. Ultimately there is a lack of confidence in the government's ability to do the reforms it promised the IMF. The IMF's director general is still sticking to Mr. Macri's plan. But markets are not going along with them. The inflation rate is running at more than 30%, in part due to the government raising prices on gas and electricity as it tries to repair its finances. The changes have made everyday life more expensive, causing families to scale back spending and contributing to a 6.7% slowdown in the economy in June. But the IMF said last month it expects Argentina's economy to stabilise by the end of the year and a gradual recovery to begin in 2019. Argentina is in the middle of a pro-market economic reform programme, as Mr Macri seeks to reverse years of protectionism and high government spending under his predecessor, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner. He faces rising political opposition due to concerns about austerity measures. His turn to the IMF was also unexpected as the organisation remains unpo[CENSORED]r in Argentina due to the economic problems associated with earlier assistance.

  10. The Range Rover name is a special thing for Land Rover, such that there hasn't been a new variant since the subcompact Evoque was introduced in 2012. So there's some significance to the arrival of the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Velar. It's a relatively affordable Land Rover SUV — at least compared to the regular Range Rover — that also happens to be the most attractive model in the lineup. Much as how it's positioned between the subcompact Evoque and midsize Sport, the Velar's size sits somewhere between traditional compact and midsize premium SUVs. Its design also departs from tradition, making the most dramatic visual update to the brand's iconic look both inside and out. Though it looks and drives differently, the Velar is based on the Jaguar F-Pace, sharing its drivetrain options and underlying structure. It is available with one of three engines: two turbocharged inline four-cylinders (one gas and one diesel) or a supercharged 3.0-liter V6. Also differentiating the Velar is its available off-road equipment, which ranges from height-adjusting air springs, a mechanical locking rear differential, and a low-speed cruise control. Serious off-road enthusiasts should still look elsewhere — the Velar is suited more for boulevards than boulders — but it has enough off-road capability to make you feel as if you can, even if you never will. Overall, the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Velar is an interesting model to consider if you're shopping for a luxury crossover SUV. It's larger and more expensive than SUVs such as the BMW X4 and the Porsche Macan but smaller and less utilitarian than the midsize models (think BMW X5 and Mercedes GLE) its price can bump against. It's arguably the most stylish of the bunch, though. If you find the Land Rover brand appealing, the new Velar should be a great choice. what's new The 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Velar is a new vehicle. we recommend With so many varieties, choosing the right Land Rover Range Rover Velar can be daunting. If you prioritize style, the visual upgrades that come with the R-Dynamic could be worth the money. But most shoppers should start with the S. This trim level has access to all three engine options and includes the features you'll most expect from a luxury SUV. The S also has optional packages that get you the extra standard features from the higher trim levels, so you can choose the options you want without having to pay for something you'll never use. trim levels & features The 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Velar is available in five different trim levels, each with a greater number of standard features throughout. The undesignated base trim Velar is only available with one engine choice, but it has dual-zone climate control and adaptive suspension dampers. The S offers two optional engine choices along with more comfort and utility features. The R-Dynamic SE and the R-Dynamic HSE don more stylish bodywork and bigger wheels. Lastly, the First Edition is essentially an HSE with most of the Velar's options as standard equipment. driving Thanks to its powerful V6, accurate steering and adaptive suspension, the Velar offers a composed and confident driving experience. The available off-road equipment does the Land Rover heritage proud. comfort Velars outfitted with the top-dollar air suspension and multifunctional seats offer every bit of luxury you could hope for. interior The touch-sensitive controls can be tricky to use at times, and the gloss-black interior panels attract fingerprints like crazy. But, above all, the interior is gorgeous. That's what matters for this kind of vehicle. quality The interior materials and design convey elegance and heritage. The diamond-cut pattern that resembles the British flag is a nice touch. technology Three separate digital displays, including two touchscreens, give the Velar a high-tech feel. Alas, the reliance on touch-sensitive controls without haptic feedback means you might have to pay more attention to the screens to get something done when your attention should be on the road. ease of use It's a little too easy to accidentally hit the touch-sensitive controls on the steering wheel. Most interior controls have been moved to the touchscreen, so it requires more attention to get something done than it should. roominess All seats offer ample head-, legroom and shoulder room. Available power-reclining rear seats and a panoramic sunroof give an impression of even more space. audio & navigation Land Rover's infotainment system packs many features, but it will take some time to learn. It reacts quickly to inputs, and the high-resolution screens look fantastic. smartphone integration Bluetooth is standard on all models, and the entertainment system on higher trim levels can communicate with specific phone applications. The front row has two USB ports. It does not currently support Android Auto or Apple CarPlay but will in the future.

  12. Reset This PC is a recovery feature available in Windows 10 that lets you reinstall Windows again from scratch with just a few taps or clicks, much like a factory reset or restore but no install disc or flash drive is needed. You even have the option of keeping or removing your personal files in the process! See Reset This PC: What It Is & How to Use It for more on this "solution of last resort" and when it's a good idea to use. A Note for Windows 8 Users In Windows 8, the Reset This PC tool exists as two distinct and similarly-named processes, Refresh Your PC and Reset Your PC. Basically, Windows 8's Refresh Your PC is the same as the Keep my files choice in Reset This PC in Windows 10, and its Reset Your PC equates to the Remove everything choice. We'll call out any important differences between the reset processes of Windows 10 and Windows 8 throughout this tutorial but, for the most part, they'll be the same. 1. Open the Advanced Startup Options Menu & Choose Troubleshoot The easiest way to start the Reset This PC process is from the Advanced Startup Options menu, shown in the screenshot above. The great thing about Advanced Startup Options is that there are at least a half-dozen ways to bring it up, which is super helpful considering that the tools there, like Reset This PC, can fix problems that are preventing you from using Windows normally. If Windows 10 is starting correctly, the best way to access the ASO menu is via Settings. Just tap or click on Settings from the Start Menu. If Windows 10 is not starting correctly, the best way to bring up the ASO menu is via the Repair your computer link after booting from your installation media or recovery drive. See How to Access Advanced Startup Options if you need some more help with either method, or you need some more options. We list six different ways in that piece, so one is likely to work out. Once at the ASO menu, tap or click on Troubleshoot. 2 . Choose the Reset This PC Option From the Troubleshoot screen in Advanced Startup Options, choose the Reset this PC option. As you'll see, it says Lets you choose to keep or remove your files, and then reinstalls Windows, so don't worry that you haven't yet told Windows 10 to keep your personal files. That's coming up next in Step 3. This screen looks a little different in Windows 8. Choose Refresh your PC if you want to reinstall Windows 8 but you want to keep your personal files (like saved music, documents, etc.) or Reset your PC if you want to reinstall Windows 8 without keeping any of your files. Skip to Step 4 of this tutorial after making that choice in Windows 8 or check out Step 3 (even though it's for the Windows 10 folks) if you're not sure which one to choose or are confused about what might happen. 3. Choose to Keep Personal Files or Remove Everything Option 1: Keep my files Choose Keep my files to keep your personal files, remove all installed software and apps, and reinstall Windows 10 from scratch. Windows 10 will back up your personal data and tuck it away safely while it reinstalls itself from scratch. When complete, Windows 10 will appear much like when you first bought your computer or installed it yourself. You may need to reconfigure some custom settings and you will need to reinstall any software you want again, but your saved files will be waiting for you. Option 2: Remove everything Choose Remove everything to remove your personal files, remove all installed software and apps, and reinstall Windows 10 from scratch. Windows 10 will erase everything on the drive its installed onto and then reinstall itself from scratch. When complete, Windows 10 will appear much like when you first bought your computer or installed it yourself. You may need to reconfigure some custom settings and you will need to reinstall any software you want again. Option 3: Restore factory settings Note: This option only shows up on some computers and is not reflected in the screenshot example above. Choose Restore factory settings to remove your personal files, remove all installed software, and reinstall the operating system and preinstalled software that originally came with your computer. Windows 10 will erase everything on the drive and then return your computer back to the exact state it was in when you first purchased in. In most cases, this means all of the preinstalled software will be reinstalled and the version of Windows that was on your computer when you bought it will be there again. Not Sure Which to Choose? All options accomplish the same thing if you're doing a Reset This PC to solve a major computer issue, so choosing Keep my files is the safer bet in most cases. The most common reason to choose Remove everything or Restore factory settings would be if you were selling or giving away the computer afterwards and you wanted to make sure nothing of yours was left to dig up later. Starting over after a major malware infection is another good reason. Important: Only the last option, if present, allows you to keep your installed software programs and apps! With the first two choices, you'll need to reinstall all of your software once the Restart This PC process is over. Tip: One really easy way to protect yourself from mistakes with Reset This PC, or any process that might mean your important files are at risk, is to make sure you're backing up! Online backup services are best but traditional local backup software works, too. 4. Wait While the Reset This PC Process Prepares to Start Immediately after making your Keep my files or Remove everything choice, your computer may or may not restart, depending on how you got to the ASO menu. Instead of Windows 10 or Windows 8 starting up as usual, you'll see this Preparing screen. This is pretty much what you're thinking - the Reset This PC process is loading. There's nothing to do here but wait, and probably only for several seconds. Go to Step 5 if you chose Keep my files (or Refresh your PC in Windows ? Go to Step 7 if you chose Remove everything (or Reset your PC in Windows ? 5. Choose an Administrator Account to Sign In With Once Reset This PC is loaded, you'll see this screen, hopefully with your account name clearly available as an option, much like you see mine here. Since you've chosen to have Reset This PC keep your personal files, continuing with this process is restricted to someone that already has access to this computer. Tap or click on your account, or whatever account is listed that you know the password for. Note: Only user accounts with administrator level access can be used to start Reset This PC, so only those appear here. Most regular Windows 10 and Windows 8 users have this kind of access, which lets you run diagnostic and repair utilities, among other things. If you don't see any account listed, you'll have to restart this process and choose Remove everything, meaning you won't be able to keep any personal data. 6. Enter Your Account Password A few moments after choosing your account name, you'll see this screen, asking for the password for your account. Enter the password for this account in the field provided and then press or click Continue, then go to Step 8 (Step 7 only applies if you had chosen not to keep your personal files). 7 . Choose to Reset Normally or Reset & Wipe the Drive Option 1: Just remove my files Choose Just remove my files to continue as planned, removing everything and reinstalling Windows from scratch. Choose this option if you're doing a Reset This PC to fix a computer problem you're having and you plan on using the computer normally after it's over. Option 2: Fully clean the drive Choose Fully clean the drive to removing everything, then wipe the drive clean, and finally reinstall Windows from scratch. Choose this option if, after the Reset This PC process is over, you plan on giving the computer away, selling it, or recycling the computer or hard drive. This option is also best if you've had serious malware issues you're trying to get rid of, especially viruses that impact the boot sector. The Fully clean the drive method will take much longer than the Just remove my files one, adding anywhere from an hour to several hours to the total process. 8. Choose Reset to Begin the Reset This PC Process Next up is a screen like the one shown here. If you chose Keep my files, you'll see the exact message in this screenshot, detailing exactly what Reset This PC will do: Remove all apps and programs that didn't come with this PC Change settings back to their defaults Reinstall Windows without removing your personal files If you chose Remove everything, Windows says that Reset This PC will remove the following: All the personal files and user accounts on this PC Any apps and programs that didn't come with this PC Any changes made to settings Tap or click the Reset button once you're absolutely sure that this is what you want to do. In Windows 10, the Reset This PC process will begin immediately after you do this. In Windows 8, you may see a second button that you'll need to press before continuing. Note: These bulleted lists differ between Windows 10 and Windows 8 but the process is the same, even though Microsoft simplified the wording for Windows 10. Tip: If you're resetting a tablet, laptop, or some other battery-powered device, make sure it's plugged in during the Reset This PC process. If your computer were to lose power, interrupting the process, it could cause even more serious problems than the ones you're trying to solve! 9 .Wait While Reset This PC Removes Everything From Your Computer As you can clearly tell from the Resetting this PC progress indicator at the bottom of the screen, the Reset This PC process has begun. During this first stage, all the data on your computer (technically, all the data on your primary drive) is being removed. If you decided to keep your personal files, those were backed up first. Expect this part of the reset process to take 15 to 45 minutes on most computers, after which your computer will automatically restart and begin the next stage. Exactly how long this takes depends on a lot of factors, like how fast your computer is, how much data you have on your computer, and the size of your personal file collection that's being backed up (if you chose to do that), among other things. Note: If you've chosen to clean the drive, expect instead for this process to take anywhere from 1 hour to several hours, depending almost entirely on how large the drive is. 10. Wait While Windows 10 (or Windows 8 Is Reinstalled Now that Reset This PC has removed everything on your computer (yes, and backed up your personal stuff if you so chose), it's time to reinstall Windows 10 or Windows 8 again from scratch. During this process, your computer will restart a few times by itself and this "Installing Windows" screen may flicker or flash in and out... all normal behavior during the Windows installation process. Expect this part of the reset process to take 10 to 30 minutes on most computers. You're almost there! Just a few more things and you'll be back to using your computer! 11. Wait While the Windows Installation Finalizes The next screens you encounter will differ considerably depending on your initial Reset This PC choices. If you chose to keep your files, expect this stage to take 5 minutes or less. You'll be asked to sign in right away and may see a short screensaver-like series of screens with headings like This won't take long and Taking care of a few things. If you chose to remove everything, expect this stage to take 10 to 20 minutes. You'll first see screens with headings like Getting critical updates, be asked to answer a series of questions (the defaults provided are usually fine), your computer may restart, and you'll finish up with This won't take long and Taking care of a few things. Either way, you're almost done... 12 . Welcome Back to Your Computer! Welcome back to your computer! Assuming all went well with Reset This PC, you should again have working access to your Windows 10 or Windows 8 computer. If you chose to have your personal files saved, expect to find them right where you left them on your Desktop, in your Documents folder, and elsewhere. Otherwise, your computer should be in about the same condition it was when you first purchased it, or first installed or upgraded Windows if you did that yourself. Note: If you use a Microsoft Account to sign in to your computer, and you previously chose to have some of your settings synced with your account, you may notice that some aspects of your computer have been automatically returned to their previous states, like your Windows theme, browser settings, etc. Where Are All My Programs? Reset This PC removed every non-original app and software program. In other words, any software you've installed will need to be installed again from scratch, by you. Tip: If you chose to keep your personal files, you may have a Removed Apps document on your Desktop with a list of apps that couldn't be reinstalled, something that might be helpful at this stage. ty is hard tutorial its made by me and some friends . with all respect : Black;

  15. Google is revamping its Wear OS (formerly known as Android Wear) platform for smartwatches, with a focus on making it quicker and easier to access information and notifications. Users can also expect more proactive help from the Google Assistant, the company says, along with "smarter health coaching" (which was previously rumored), all by simply swiping. "We’re evolving the design of Wear OS by Google to help you get the most out of your time," Google stated in a blog post. Part of that entails making it easier to browse, dismiss, and take action on notifications by way of a new notification stream. Wear OS uses can now swipe up to see all of their notifications at once, and then tap on any of the messages to select a built-in smart reply. It's no surprise that Google is putting an added emphasis on its AI assistant as well, given that AI assistants are being used all over the place these days. In this case, the new design allows Wear OS users to receive proactive and personalized help from the Google Assistant. "Let’s say you’re headed to the airport—swipe right on your watch to see your flight status or hotel reservation. Tap on smart suggestions like the weather at your destination or find a restaurant near your hotel. When you’re getting ready for the day, your Google Assistant will help you stay ahead by reminding you to bring an umbrella, showing you your day’s meetings, or warning you if there is a delay on your commute," Google explains. The AI assistant will also suggest features that users may have tried out yet. According to Google, it will become more useful over time, both as a result of getting to 'know' the user, and as Google adds more features. Health has long been a point of focus among wearable devices, and the Wear OS update underscores this. It ties in with the recent Google Fit announcement. Google said it worked with the American Heart Association and the World Health Organization to design new activity goals, namely Heart Points and Move Minutes. With the Wear OS update, users can swipe left to start a workout and see how well they are progressing towards their goals. Google says the new features will begin rolling out over the next month.
  16. WhatsApp started the year with a bang, with the user base hitting 1.5 billion monthly active users. Since then its year has been pretty eventful, what with launching or testing new features with high frequency. Of course, fake news - the bane of many a social media platform - has become a pain point for WhatsApp too. So it came as no surprise when the company announced it is testing measures to curb the menace. But that's not the only new WhatsApp feature being tested right now - in fact, just today the group calling feature was rolled out globally, after being in testing for several weeks. Here's a rundown of all the new features that the Facebook-owned app has released, or is planning to release, in 2018. New WhatsApp features of 2018 1. Group video and voice calling As mentioned above, WhatsApp group video and voice calling is official now for Android and iPhone users. The feature was in testing for over a month and does as the name suggests - but the number of people supported in a group calls is limited to just four. This new group calling feature is something that allowing users to come together and conduct VoIP calls, making it especially convenient considering the platform is so widely used in India. 2. WhatsApp Payments Easily the biggest launch of this year for the messaging app in India was the integration of payments. Based on the Indian government-backed UPI or Unified Payments Interface, WhatsApp Payments is essentially a simple way to transfer funds to your contacts by entering in your UPI pin. While other platforms such as PhonePe, Paytm, and BHIM have already made the feature po[CENSORED]r, integrating it onto a massively po[CENSORED]r platform like WhatsApp has only helped it grow in India which is one of the biggest markets for the messaging platform. The feature can be accessed by going into an individual conversation or a group, clicking on the Attachment icon, setting up your UPI account, and making the payment the usual way. It is available on Android, iPhone, and Windows Phone. 3. Group admin controls WhatsApp in 2018 put a lot of its focus on enhancing groups and admin controls. First of all, group creators received the ability to change a group's description, as did participants in the group. However, group admins have the option to restrict participants from changing the description. Admins can also choose between All Participants and Only Admins to decide upon who can change the subject and icon of the group. In an update this year, WhatsApp also disabled the ability to remove group creators. Another highlight of updates to WhatsApp groups in 2018 was a new feature that allows group admins to restrict participants from sending messages in the group. Most likely formulated for WhatsApp groups that are involved in buying and selling of products, this feature is expected to cut down on spam. To be able to use it, admins need to go into Group Info > Group Settings > Send Messages. From here, two options - All Participants and Only Admins - will be revealed. 4. Use Siri to send group messages An extension of using Siri to send individual messages on WhatsApp for iPhone, first introduced in 2016, is the ability to use Apple's digital assistant to send messages in groups on the platform. To send a group message using Siri, users need to say "Hey, Siri!" or press and hold the iPhone's home button and then ask, "Send a message to group (name)." Once you select the appropriate group from the list it offers, you can speak out loud your message which will be sent to the same group. 5. Download all data In line with the EU's new guidelines for data privacy, GDPR or European General Data Protection Regulation, that came into effect on May 25, WhatsApp has made available the ability to download all the data that has been collected by WhatsApp, on you, since you made your account on the platform. To request the data that WhatsApp has on you, you need to head over to Settings > Account > Request Account Info. Once done, you will be taken to a page where you have to click Request Report. Of course, messages will not be included in this data due to end-to-end encryption. 6. Suspicious link indicator Rolling out widely to WhatsApp beta for Android users as of July 2018, the new Suspicious Link Indicator feature has been added to WhatsApp updates amidst an effort to cut down spam, spoofing, and phishing instances on the platform. WhatsApp beta on Android 2.18.221 includes the ability to label a 'Suspicious Link', as such, whenever detected locally by the app. This is expected to warn unknowing users before they mistakenly open a malicious link. The app also gives out another warning when the user attempts to open the link. 7. Forwarding restrictions Ever since the news of mob lynchings related to fake news on WhatsApp came to light, WhatsApp announced that it is testing putting strict limits on message forwarding on the platform in India. As per a statement by the Facebook-owned company, forwarding limit of up to five chats per user might be put into place soon, along with the removal of the forwarding shortcut from media messages. In yet another move to combat the spread of misinformation, WhatsApp recently announced that it will start labelling forwards with a new 'Forwarded' tag to inform users of the action. This can allow recipients to stay alert and possibly fact check the text before sending it to others. 8. Jio Phone support At Reliance Industries Limited's 41st Annual General Meeting this year, CEO Mukesh Ambani announced that WhatsApp will be coming to the company's Jio Phone and Jio Phone 2 starting August 15. The app will allow for input using voice commands as well as text, it was said at the event. 9. Predictive Upload Rolling out for Android and iPhone users, the new Predicted Upload feature will have the ability to predict which photograph is going to be sent in a particular chat and upload it to the server in advance. This enables the user to send it to the recipient without any sort of upload delay. This feature is for when the photo is sent without any editing, as that will prompt a re-upload of the media file. 10. Mute from notifications and WhatsApp stickers As is apparent from the name, WhatsApp now allows you to mute message threads right from the notification panel. But this feature is only applicable in the scenario where the user has sent you a minimum of 51 messages without you accessing the app. The Mute button appears below the messages in the notification panel, next to the Reply To option. After a confirmation by CEO Mark Zuckerberg back in May this year, WhatsApp stickers have been made available in beta version 2.18.218 of WhatsApp on Android. A separate WhatsApp stickers store will roll out to stable versions in the future with the ability to download new sticker packs as they become available. This is similar to what Facebook Messenger offers. 11. Media visibility With the new media visibility toggle, users can now pick and choose which individual or group chats they want to hide or show media content from. The media visibility feature is accessible under Contact Info and Group Info in Settings on the app. By default, all media content is visible in all groups and individual chats. You can select No to switch it off. Will Jio Phone 2 help WhatsApp, YouTube reach the next billion users in India?
