In the last financial year, a total of 88 new companies started operations in the IT park with an allotment of 1,57,602 square feet space, Kerala State IT Parks CEO John M Thomas said, adding that the strength of the workforce increased by eight per cent. "Software export revenue of Infopark, Kochi and associated satellite parks last financial year stood at Rs 6,310 crore as against Rs 5,200 crore in the year before, a 21 per cent increase. Interestingly, the export revenue had a steady increase even while there was a minor dip in the total number of companies due to the exit of small scale companies with remote working," Infopark said in a statement.Currently, allotment of 50,000 sq ft space to 13 more new companies are under process and this is expected to create over 400 new job opportunities in the immediate future, Infopark said. The park houses 55,000 IT professionals in 412 companies with a total built-up space of 9.2 million sq ft which is rapidly expanding.Thomas said Infopark has continued to attract new companies and investment to the state, thereby generating net new employment opportunities during the pandemic. "The support from the government has helped in both bolstering the IT infrastructure at Infopark and attracting investments from global and Indian IT majors," he said. Catering to the increasing demand for IT built-up space, the park has come forward with expansion plans. The Geo Group has recently announced its plan to invest Rs 160 crore on a new project, the IBS Kochi campus is nearing completion with a built-up space of 6.5 million sq ft and completion of Media Systems India project in Phase-II is projected to generate innumerable fresh opportunities.Infopark, an IT park, established in 2004 by the Kerala government plans to develop 1.65 acres of denotified land in Phase-I.

Link : https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.spokesman.com/stories/2022/mar/20/the-dirt-developer-looking-to-convert-jensen-byrd-/%3famp-content=amp A developer is looking to convert the Jensen-Byrd Hardware building in downtown Spokane into apartments and retail space. Property owner Dan Spalding has filed a pre-development application with the city to redevelop 61,000 square feet of the warehouse and office building into 42 apartments and 17,000 feet into commercial retail space at 314 and 320 W. Riverside Ave. Spalding also plans to redesign a center portion of the building into a courtyard and turn a basement storage area into additional parking, according to the application. The application indicated potential construction of an additional seven-story building at 310 W. Riverside Ave. The Jensen-Byrd Hardware building shares a name with the Jensen-Byrd warehouse at 131 W. Main Ave. in the University District. The downtown Spokane project’s estimated cost is $5 million, according to the application. Oliver C. Jensen and Henry Brooke founded hardware store Jensen, Brooke & Co. in 1883. Brooke later sold his interest in the business to Charles King and the store operated as Jensen King & Co. The business partners relocated the hardware company to Spokane following a devastating fire in Sprague in 1895. They later bought out Wolverton-Byrd and became Jensen-King-Byrd Hardware, according to a Spokesman-Review article published in 2018. The business partners built the two side-by-side buildings on the 300 block of West Riverside Avenue. Oliver Jensen’s sons, Scott and Alvin, bought out King and the company became Jensen-Byrd Co. in 1925. For several decades, farmers, loggers, miners and tradesmen shopped at the Riverside Avenue storefront, while Jensen-Byrd’s wholesale business operated out of a warehouse on the north bank of the Spokane River. Jensen-Byrd acquired Marshall-Wells Co. in 1958 and traded its three smaller warehouses for a larger structure on Main Avenue. The company shut down its Riverside Avenue storefront to focus on wholesale business. Jensen-Byrd later built a distribution center on the West Plains. The company has been known as Emery Jensen Distribution since Ace Hardware Corp. acquired it in 2015.Brick West building new production facility Brick West Brewing Co. is planning to build a new production facility on the West Plains. Spokane-based Trek Architecture filed a pre-development application with the city to build the 15,000-square-foot warehouse and production facility at 1624 S. Spotted Road. Brick West co-owner Matt Goodwin said in an email the brewery is building the facility to expand its production and wholesale capabilities. The building’s estimated cost is $2 million, according to the application. A site plan indicates future phases of the project call for three additional 15,000-square-foot buildings. Brick West Brewing Co. opened in 2020 at 1318 W. First Ave. on the West End of downtown Spokane. The brewery is a project of two sets of brothers, Matt and Ryan Goodwin, and Joel and Jordan Tampien. Restaurant to be razed for apartments The Fiesta Charra restaurant in West Spokane could be demolished to make way for an apartment development. Spokane-based Trek Architecture submitted a pre-development application with the city to raze the restaurant and build the Rustle Apartments, which will consist of a three-story, 27,000-square-foot building with 32 units at 1520 S. Rustle St. The property owner is Rustle Project LLC, whose principals are Jordan Tampien of 4 Degrees Real Estate and Mike Schneider. Construction on the apartment building is slated to begin in the summer, according to a site plan for the project. The project’s estimated cost is $3 million, according to the application.

This creates an environment for players to experience a brand new way to play the game and earn awesome rewards and prizes. However, in an event like this, it’s hard to tell which decks are good to play. To help, here’s a look at how to play Gadgets, one of the best decks to use for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel N/R Rarity Festival. Monsters 3x Green Gadget 3x Red Gadget 3x Yellow Gadget 3x Silver Gadget 3x Gold Gadget 3x Infinitrack Anchor Drill Spells 3x Mystical Space Typhoon 3x Book of Moon Traps 3x Torrential Tribute 3x Bottomless Trap Hole 3x Compulsory Evacuation Device 3x Traptrix Trap Hole Nightmare 3x Oasis of Dragon Souls Extra Deck 1x Photon Papilloperative 1x Number 50: Blackship of Corn 1x Number 82: Heartlandraco 1x Number 80: Rhapsody in Berserk 1x Gagaga Samurai 1x Super Quantal Mech Beast Aeroboros 3x Heavy Armored Train Ironwolf 2x Number 70: Malevolent Sin 1x Aegaion the Sea Castrum 1x Number 97: Draglubion 1x Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon 1x Number C92: Heart-eartH Chaos Dragon How the deck plays This deck specializes in the grind game. With every original Gadget monster adding another copy on summon, players will never run out of monsters. As a result, they can chip away their opponent’s resources in the war of attrition. Once the opponent is whittled down, the deck excels at closing out games through the tempo offered by a board of Xyz monsters opponents cannot topple over. However, the deck can also kill opposing players very quickly. The Gold and Silver Gadgets, as well as Infinitrack Anchor Drill, allow for quick access to the extra deck to bring out powerful Xyz monsters. Infinitrack Anchor Drill in particular can summon Rank 8 monsters, which are devastating in a limited format like this one. The combo of Number 97: Draglubion and Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon can end games in one to two turns. If all else fails, players can simply just rely on the powerful trap lineup and wait for the right moment to strike. How to get the cards All these cards are at Normal and Rare, making them incredibly easy to craft. Because of this, it’s not recommended to spend Gems in order to pull them out of packs. But if players have a burning hole in their wallet and want to open packs, these are the Secret Packs players can find the key cards in. Shifting Gears Dreadnought Advance Number Recall

  7. Link : https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.techrepublic.com/article/erase-or-destroy-governments-spend-millions-to-get-rid-of-sensitive-data-and-replace-the-hardware/amp/ Government organizations could save millions of dollars by recycling and reusing solid-state drives (SSDs) instead of destroying hardware to protect sensitive data. That’s the recommendation from the Blancco Technology Group’s report on data management methods. The report, “The Price of Destruction: Exploring the Financial and Environmental Costs of Public Sector Device Sanitization,” found that many organizations have recycling plans in place but are not implementing them. The study is based on survey data from 596 government IT leaders in nine countries. The survey found that the governments and public sector organizations represented spend as much as $17 million every year on the physical destruction of solid-state drives. The same organizations spend another $40 million to replace the devices for a total of $57 million. The costs of destroying SSDs and replacing is between $6.9 and $7.3 million for the U.S. and between $6.4 and $6.9 million for the U.K.Blancco offers data erasure software to manage end-of-life data, reuse data storage assets and comply with data protection and privacy laws. Transparency Market Research predicts that the market for data erasure software will hit $21.4 billion by 2030 and lists Stellar Information Technology, Kroll Ontrack, Blancco, IBM Corporation and Certus Software as significant providers of this service. The survey found that 41% of respondents said physical destruction is mandated by law for SSDs that contain classified data, so they destroy all SSDs “just in case.” Other findings include: Cryptographic erasure or encryption was indicated most often by 89% of respondents. Physical destruction of SSDs alone was used by 60% of the respondents. Physical destruction of IT assets that house SSDs was used by 48%. Software-based erasure was used by about half the organizations (55% did this onsite while 45% chose offsite) to allow reuse of the device. The report authors see two main problems with destroying a drive as the default approach to preserve data security: “Unnecessary destruction increases IT operations and materials costs for fiscally constrained public sector organizations. It also fosters increased e-waste creation during a global call for more prudent environmental stewardship.” The data shows that device destruction and replacement can cost even smaller governments millions of dollars each year as well as reducing the useful life span of a device and making redeployment, resale and return impossible. Almost all survey respondents (93%) indicated that their organization had defined plans to reduce the environmental impact caused by destroying IT equipment, but only 21% are implementing those plans. Alan Bentley, president of global strategy at Blancco, said in a press release that public sector organizations should consider SSD sanitization instead of destruction to improve sustainability. “We’ve seen several public sector departments benefit from moving away from destroying data bearing assets to reusing them or building up the circular economy,” he said. “Our study highlights that there are significant opportunities for policy reform surrounding SSD data protection as national policymakers seek to steward financial, environmental and data resources entrusted to their care.” The survey also found that 22% are unaware of alternative methods of sanitization. The report authors noted these best practices for the various methods of sanitizing used drives: Encryption: Keys must be securely stored and managed and users must be diligent in how and when they execute encryption processes. Physical destruction: No data storage areas can be left intact and destruction methods must be appropriate for the particular asset. Data erasure: Using accepted industry standards and verification of erasure are critical.

  16. Link : https://www.google.com/amp/s/9to5mac.com/2022/03/17/apple-studio-display-software-update-quality/amp/ The first reviews of Apple’s new Studio Display hit the web this morning, and while they were mostly positive, there was a clear issue highlighted by many reviews: the webcam quality. Reviewers at The Verge, The Wall Street Journal, and elsewhere had harsh words for the Studio Display’s built-in camera, but Apple is promising a software fix… Apple set high expectations for the Studio Display’s camera, which is a 12MP Ultra Wide sensor with support for Center Stage. It’s essentially the same 12MP Ultra Wide lens we’ve seen the company use in other products such as the iPad. In the press release announcing the Studio Display, Apple touted that the Studio Display would be the “ultimate video conferencing display” thanks to this camera. Featuring the A13 Bionic chip, Studio Display delivers amazing experiences with its highly advanced camera and audio system. The ultimate video conferencing display, it includes a 12MP Ultra Wide camera with Center Stage, a feature that automatically keeps users centered in the frame as they move around for even more engaging video calls. The first reviews of the Studio Display today, however, make it clear that this is not the case. In his review for The Verge, Nilay Patel wrote that the Studio Display’s camera looks “awful in good light, and downright miserable in low light.” Joanna Stern at The Wall Street Journal likened the camera performance to that of an “old BlackBerry.” Gizmodo had similar complaints, saying that the Studio Display’s webcam is “noisy” and “not great.” The Verge says that it has been in contact with Apple about these issues, and the company has promised a software update with improvements. Apple told Patel that its team “looked into the images you shared, and discovered an issue where the system is not behaving as expected. We’ll be making improvements in a software update.” Unfortunately, as it stands today, there is no timeline on this software update, nor are there details on what exactly the software update will address. As we reported earlier, however, the inclusion of the A13 Bionic inside the Studio Display means it can receive software updates and get better overtime.
  17. Link : https://www.google.com/amp/s/arstechnica.com/gaming/2022/03/amd-announces-fsr-upscaling-2-0-promises-big-hardware-agnostic-gains/%3famp=1 When the PC industry's two biggest graphics card manufacturers aren't battling over benchmarks or chip-shortage woes, they've been fighting over a different sales pitch: boosting performance for older GPUs. And while Nvidia has nearly won that war, that success has come with an asterisk: its proprietary performance-boosting system, DLSS, requires relatively recent Nvidia hardware. AMD's first major retaliation was 2020's FidelityFX Super Resolution, but this open source, hardware-agnostic option has thus far proven inadequate. And AMD finally seems ready to admit as much in its rollout of FSR 2.0, which debuted in limited fashion on Wednesday ahead of a wider Game Developers Conference reveal next week. FSR 2.0 gets a formal rollout in video games starting "Q2 2022." It’s time for temporal solutions Both FSR and DLSS function in modern games as pixel upscalers. In both cases, games run at a lower base resolution of pixels, and whichever system is active processes and reconstructs the resulting imagery at higher pixel counts. This can include intelligent anti-aliasing (to reduce "stair-stepping" of diagonal lines), blurring, or even wholly redrawn pixels. Ultimately, the dream is that these systems can wisely convert games running at 1440p or even 1080p to something nearly identical to a full 4K signal. On the most basic level, DLSS's reconstruction system leans on a dedicated core in Nvidia's "RTX" line of GPUs, which has been trained on a machine-learning model that has studied thousands of hours of existing video games. DLSS uses additional data to reconstruct its imagery, as well, but its dedicated upscaling core has been the difference maker for games that might otherwise be tricky to upscale. Remedy's 2019 hit Control remains a standout example of DLSS often looking superior to native, higher-res pixel counts, especially in how it reconstructs complex textures and in-game text.AMD can't always compete with DLSS if it relies on a hardware-agnostic upscaler that's at the mercy of whatever base pixels a game provides. As AMD now admits on its GPU Open news site, "with a low-resolution source, there is just not enough information with a spatial upscaler for thin detail." That's where AMD FSR 2.0 comes in—or, at least, AMD wants us to think so. The update's biggest addition is a juggle of temporal data (motion vectors, movement within a game, etc.) as a double-edged tool: to anticipate and draw pixels and to replace traditional temporal anti-aliasing (TAA). If that system upgrade sounds familiar, it should: DLSS includes its own temporal pixel interpretation system. Additionally, AMD hints that its system can treat a game's color data as its own vector to process and upscale. Neither Nvidia nor AMD has publicly described how color-mapping upscale systems work, even though AMD hinted at it so loudly this week.https://youtu.be/oKD98lTqilQ So far, the only promising example of the new system in action is a YouTube video. The post shows the FSR 2.0 system more nimbly translating temporal data as the first-person perspective shifts in the 2021 Bethesda game Deathloop. In good news, from what we can tell, FSR 2.0 appears to reduce the blur and pixel dithering that we saw in FSR 1.0's ugliest in-motion examples from the past year. Limited evidence thus far—and RSR in the meantime Sadly, AMD did not make this video's raw assets available as part of today's announcement. That leaves us staring at frozen images as captured from a compressed YouTube feed to form our initial judgments. Worse, the video never allows viewers to directly compare how each visual option (native pixels, FSR 1.0, FSR 2.0) looks; instead, the screen is split into halves or thirds, forcing us to compare completely different parts of the gameplay sequence in question. There's a point in the above embedded video at roughly the 1:05 mark when FSR 1.0 produces an unsightly flicker next to a light source, and AMD doesn't let us see exactly how FSR 2.0 translates that part of the image. AMD has also confirmed that FSR 2.0 will require per-game implementation by game developers. Thus far, AMD has been unclear whether that implementation is a few hours' labor that piggybacks off a game's existing TAA implementation or something far more intensive. (Although I'd like to hear AMD answer gamemakers' questions at GDC next week on that front, I fear that those answers may be hand-waved until FSR 2.0 is closer to launch.) And we're left wondering exactly how much in-game performance will improve with FSR 2.0 enabled for supported GPUs, since it will likely require some lifting on the GPU's part, much like how traditional TAA taxes a GPU to some extent. To that end, we don't yet know how much FSR 2.0's updates will narrow device support, at least in terms of spec requirements like VRAM or boost clock speeds.Still, Deathloop's promised inclusion in the FSR 2.0 launch will be intriguing to watch. Deathloop is already a rare example of a game shipping with both FSR and Nvidia DLSS built into its PC version—which will help us prime our own head-to-head image comparisons down the road. And this future-minded news is joined by AMD launching a game-agnostic version of "Radeon Super Resolution." This driver-level toggle is available starting today for AMD GPUs and will upscale lower-res games that otherwise don't have custom FSR support baked in. Because of its lack of game-specific coding, AMD admits that RSR will look inferior to FSR when both options are available. But for anyone inclined to reduce in-game resolutions for better frame rates anyway, RSR is an interesting option to lean on as opposed to simply rendering fewer pixels.
