The much anticipated SecuX Nifty features viewing and signing functions that upgrades security levels for high-value digital assets such as NFTs, will debut at the world's biggest Bitcoin event in Miami Beach, USA this week, followed by Europe's renowned Paris Blockchain Week Summit (PBWS), and its first Paris NFT Day.SecuX Nifty is a comprehensive security solution for NFT collectors to safely manage, store and show off their precious collections. First amongst its peers, the hardware wallet not only saves the private key offline away from hacking threats, but also allows the NFT image to be downloaded, viewed and confirmed on the device before authorizing transactions on the large 2.8 inch color touchscreen. The SecuX Nifty App features personalized gallery viewing options, coins and tokens management, and easy access for buying and trading on po[CENSORED]r marketplaces and DeFi applications such as Opensea and Rarible. Self-custodial Security & True Ownership Crypto-related crime surged to a record high of $14 billion worth of illegal digital assets in 2021, up 79% from $7.8 billion in 2020. Many of the hacks and thefts occurred on an institutional level such as marketplace platforms where system vulnerabilities became the center of the attack. The level of security measures and awareness rises as a result, which motivated SecuX to continue developing and provide self-custodial and decentralized solutions for our users' peace of mind.Vault-grade Security All SecuX wallets are embedded with military-grade Infineon Solid Flash CC EAL 5+ Secure Element chip, where the private key is stored offline against potential risks and hacking threats. 8. Link : https://www.google.com/amp/s/portswigger.net/daily-swig/amp/cisco-software-update-blocks-exploit-chain-in-network-management-software A security researcher was able to achieve unauthenticated remote code execution against Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller by exploiting an obsolete Java library with known vulnerabilities. The researcher, Pedro Ribeiro, was able to put together a damaging exploit against the enterprise-grade network and storage management technology by chaining together a combination of vulnerabilities in the system. The exploit chain allowed Ribeiro to escalate a web-based flaw to achieve a root shell, or complete compromise. Ribeiro told The Daily Swig: “The first bug is a Java deserialization vulnerability in an old library. Then I abuse another old Java library deserialization gadget to achieve code execution as an unpriv user and finally a misconfigured sudo to perform privilege escalation to root.” Software update The security researcher reported the issue to Cisco through Trend Micro’s Zero Day Initiative around six months ago. Cisco was somewhat slow to respond but did release a software update last month that addressed the issue uncovered by Ribeiro. In response to a query from The Daily Swig, Cisco said that the problem was resolved. Catch up on the latest network security news and analysis “On March 4, 2022, Cisco released a software update for Cisco Data Center Network Manager that includes a fix for the third-party software (TPS) vulnerability in Apache Flex BlazeDS that is identified by CVE-2017-5641. “Cisco is tracking this vulnerability via its Bug ID CSCvz62623 and asks customers of this product to upgrade to software version 11.5(4).” It added: “Cisco would like to thank Pedro Ribeiro from Agile Information Security working with Trend Micro Zero Day Initiative for reporting this vulnerability.” The release of an update to Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller cleared the way for Ribeiro to go public with details of the vulnerability and proof-of-concept exploit code with a technical blog post, published on GitHub last week. The same technology was previously known as Cisco Data Center Network Manager (DCNM). In its previous guise, Ribeiro found another (similarly) critical remote code exaction vulnerability three years ago. Ribeiro is unimpressed by Cisco's handling of their latest report. "Cisco being Cisco as always," the researcher said. "They only have that bug ID behind a registration wall. There's no mention of the bug in their global security center database [and] six months to fix is indeed a long time."

Link : https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.news4jax.com/news/local/2022/04/04/sand-truck-removed-from-ace-hardware-building-after-january-crash/%3foutputType=amp JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A sand truck has finally been removed from the Bennett’s Ace Hardware on Jacksonville’s Westside after it crashed into the building in January. SKY4 flew over the building on Monday and found the roof had also been removed. You could see the damage to the interior of the store. There were no signs that any demolition work had begun. The building had been boarded up.On January 14, a 15-year-old was driving a car that cut in front of the sand truck and collided with the semi before the truck plowed into the building, according to a crash report. The teen was cited for failure to yield and a learner’s permit violation, the report said. The report also showed that an 11-year-old girl was a passenger in the car.According to the report, the two girls were among five people taken to hospitals after the wreck. Video from a dash-mounted camera onboard the sand truck captured the moment the truck collided with the car and then barreled into the hardware store. In the video, the truck is seen driving along West Beaver Street, crossing the intersection of Cahoon Street, with a green light. The truck then collides with the car, which had entered the intersection, before veering off to the right and plowing into the store. “No trespassing signs” were added outside the building. There’s also a red sign that reads “condemned.”

Link : https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.pcmag.com/news/russia-will-stop-using-western-software-for-critical-infrastructure-by%3famp=true Russia President Vladimir Putin has reportedly ordered critical infrastructure operators to stop using foreign software, which purportedly represents a national security risk, by 2025. The Register reports that Putin signed Order No. 166 (PDF), titled "On measures to ensure the technological independence and security of the critical information infrastructure of the Russian Federation," on March 30. The order went into effect the following day. "From here on," The Register says, "organizations must seek approval before they can buy in overseas software for this level of infrastructure. Putin also prohibited public agencies and other customers from using foreign software as of January 1, 2025." The order follows many Western tech companies—including Microsoft—halting sales in Russia in response to the invasion of Ukraine. Even the software that remains available could pose a problem, too, because of calls for companies to stop providing security updates within Russia. Russia's invasion of Ukraine has also prompted the rise of "protestware" in open source projects that seek to disrupt Russian operations. One project was modified to delete files on Russian and Belarusian systems, for example, while another showed a "call for peace" on Russian devices. The Register reports that Order No. 166 "asks the Russian government to form a group focused on developing, producing, and maintaining trusted software and hardware for critical infrastructure projects" in addition to requiring government agencies to adopt these new rules.About Nathaniel Mott Nathaniel Mott is a writer and editor who has contributed to The Guardian, Tom's Hardware, and several other publications in varying capacities since 2011. In a Sunday morning tweet, Trezor said it was investigating "a potential data breach of an opt-in newsletter hosted on MailChimp" and warned users to avoid opening emails from "noreply@trezor.us". "MailChimp [has] confirmed that their service has been compromised by an insider targeting crypto companies," Trezor said in a subsequent post. "We have managed to take the phishing domain offline. We are trying to determine how many email addresses have been affected." "We will not be communicating by newsletter until the situation is resolved. Do not open any emails appearing to come from Trezor until further notice. Please ensure you are using anonymous email addresses for bitcoin-related activity," the firm went on to say. Trezor users began to circulate warnings and screenshots of the phishing attempt on Saturday. Per the messages, the phishing attack was an attempt to induce users to download malicious code under the guise of Trezor's Suite desktop app by alleging a fake security breach at the company.
