Apple has announced iMovie 3.0, available from today (April 12) which allows users on iOS and iPadOS to more easily compile photos, movies, and music into a home movie thanks to two new features. iMovie is a po[CENSORED]r app from Apple for quickly creating movies and clips on Mac, iPhone and iPad with minimal hassle. However, Instagram and TikTok have been using AI (Artificial Intelligence) features that make creating and sharing great-looking video clips even easier. For example, they can automatically adapt music to fit video clips. Meanwhile, iMovie was falling behind, with users having to align their music and content manually. But the new update looks to alleviate this with 'Storyboards' and 'Magic Movie. It’s rolling out to devices running iOS 15.2 or later and iPadOS 15.2 or later. But Apple declined to say whether these features would also be coming to the macOS version eventually. Storyboards is one of two new features where you can choose from 20 templates to fit the videos, photos, and audio tracks, and each placeholder describes what kind of clip should be in that section of the movie. This can be helpful for content creators or those who want to test the waters with editing video in general. The feature can guide users with framing their shots and telling a story through their video, and then export it to another app. When you edit a clip you've already inserted, you can have a voiceover, insert music, trim the clip, adjust the volume, tweak the speed, add titles or delete the clip entirely. If you decide to change a template, the titles and transitions will adapt instead of disappearing and requiring you to start the project all over again. Meanwhile, the Magic Movie feature allows you to select an album of photos and videos, and will compile these into a movie. You can re-arrange and delete clips, and the feature will adapt while keeping the theme of the project intact. This feature will analyze your clips for dialogue and movement and will arrange them to fit the movie you've picked. There's also helpful descriptions of where to add certain clips, whether it's for a close-up shot or something else to help fit the movie. You can also pick a soundtrack, such as a file from Garageband, Apple Music, or the Files app for example, and iMovie 3.0 will also adapt to this to fit the video, similar to TikTok and Instagram's takes. It looks to automate how you can create a movie in a half-hour, without going through many menus to achieve the same result. Magic Movie reminds us of its trailer feature in iMovie on macOS, where you can create small movies of movie trailers with your clips. This looks to be the next step in this feature that's been available on macOS since 2011. We asked Apple whether there will be a way of adding live transcriptions to clips. We were told that this would have to be added in another app, like Final Cut on the Mac, which was disappointing, especially as its Clips app can do this on iOS already. Apple also declined to comment on whether these features were coming to the Mac version of iMovie, but it did say that the reason they’re on iMovie for the iPhone and iPad versions from today is due to the ease that users have in creating and managing their media content on those devices. iMovie is something that goes as far back as the iLife suite in the early 2000s, where you would have a suite of apps such as iMovie, iPhoto, iWeb, and iDVD, all to help create content on your Mac. But since iMovie’s appearance on iOS in 2010, followed by an iPad release in 2011, its usage has changed, which makes sense for these new features to arrive on iPhone and iPad first. Having seen the features in action, it’s surprising how few taps and clicks are required to make a movie from start to finish. It looks like an evolution of the trailer feature above, with full movies now taking advantage of this. But, it is disappointing that there’s no way to add audio transcriptions for when you’re editing a clip for a Storyboard or Magic Movie project. With Instagram and TikTok already showcasing this feature, it would have made sense for this to come to iMovie 3.0. However, it’s a significant update that’s going to take advantage of the cameras and the content that every iPhone and iPad user has access to. And with its ease of use, it does have the potential to become a common method for those longer movies you want to share with a social platform, or with friends and family.

Australian retailers, Megabuy and ITnest, have the distinct honor of being in the first place with product listings and prices for AMD's upcoming flagship Radeon GPU, the RX 6950 XT. The listings (first spotted by @momomo_us) show a Gigabyte RX 6950 XT GPU selling for over AUD $3,200, which roughly converts to $2,400 USD. The RX 6900 XT launched for $999, which would have this new refreshed version going for far in excess of the original card. If these prices are in any way reflective of the actual price come launch day, that is. You'll note that the retailer listing initially showed a discrepancy between the product name and product code on site. Megabuy seems to have corrected the copy so that the product name says RX 6950 XT instead of RX 6900 RT for AUD $3,241. ITNest is selling the same Gigabyte GPU for AUD $3,320 though both have little information on the cards and are clearly placeholder listings to start taking pre-orders since some don't even have product pictures yet. Megabuy has it pretty close in price with two Gigabyte RTX 3090 Ti cards listed for close to $3,339 (USD $2,500), which is over its $2,000 MSRP, but these days, GPUs selling over MSRP is commonplace. We even reported listings for the RTX 3090 Ti for over $4,000 in Canada before its launch. Thankfully, it sold for far less than that in the end. At this price, one would expect that the RX 6950 XT's performance would be able to compete with the massive RTX 3090 Ti. We know that AMD's fastest GPU will have 18Gbps GDDR6 memory and reportedly higher boost clocks to help it achieve something towards that goal. Though, if this price sticks, it makes the card nearly double the price of RX 6900 XT, which is a drastic difference in price considering it seems like it may just be a marginal increase in performance. AMD's Radeon RX 6950 XT, RX 6750 XT, and RX 6650 XT GPUs were rumored to come out later this month but may have been delayed until May 10. The big question that remains is how AMD's powerful GPU stacks up against Nvidia's big boy with just a standard dual-slot cooler. We look forward to putting the RX 6950 XT through its paces to see if this flagship GPU sinks or swims.

Mythforce shares a lot of DNA with po[CENSORED]r dungeon crawler Gunfire Reborn, but with a classical fantasy aesthetic. Mythforce, a new roguelite loosely styled after '80s fantasy cartoons, almost feels like the setup for a joke. Stop me if you've heard this one: a knight, a rogue, a mage, and a ranger walk into a dungeon. Then they all die because they ran out of stamina. There are two types of videogame at odds within Mythforce: one a breezy, actiony dungeon crawler where you slay dozens of enemies while chatting with your co-op crew, the other a deliberate, slow-paced combat game that demands precise sword swings and dodges to stay alive for more than a few minutes. I'm up for either approach, but the first feels more in line with Mythforce's cartoony tone and its multiplayer roguelite structure. It's perhaps overly harsh for a stray step in front of a fire-spewing statue to burn away half my health when healing potions are apparently this fantasy world's rarest commodity. I was surprised how much weight Mythforce puts behind its first-person sword swings when I held down the mouse button for a charged up strike. It feels a bit like Vermintide in those moments, which I mean as a compliment. But here getting hit by enemies just a couple times meant big trouble: my rogue was squishy as hell, and I sometimes took damage even while dodging backwards out of what seemed like sword range. First-person combat can sometimes make it hard to tell exactly where your hitbox is, and I'd just shrug that off in a game like Vermintide, where heals are fairly prevalent and the average enemy is a small fry you can swat away with a giant hammer. Here just three enemies slowly walking towards you are a major threat, and playing a ranged character seems vastly safer than engaging at melee range. It's comfortable and familiar from the jump, though if you survive for a while you do start running into enemies that diverge a bit more from D&D 101, like mushroom men who shrink themselves at will to run circles around your frustrated sword swipes. Those weirdos are one reason I wish Mythforce leaned more towards the breezy hack 'n' slash—I want to know what kind of creativity is lurking later in the dungeon. At least in this early access state—launching exclusively on the Epic Games Store—the roguelite structure seems to be tuned towards dying early and often and restarting over and over to unlock character perks that make you just a little bit stronger. This works brilliantly in a game like Hades where the action feels fantastic from the beginning, and every run offers a different set of powers to juggle on the fly. By contrast, with a static set of character skills and a much slower pace, death in Mythforce is more of a grind. Start over and fight the same skeletons again, but with +5 starting stamina this time thanks to a level up. I played Mythforce solo and in two- and three-player groups, and it feels best with a larger squad. There's some degree of scaling here, but the damage enemies and traps dish out feels extra punishing when you can't have one teammate draw enemies away while another spends a solid 10 seconds standing still to revive a downed ally. I can see myself with a fully leveled character in Mythforce looking back at how far I'd come and appreciating all the power I'd accumulated. Developer Beamdog, founded by former BioWare devs and best known for the Baldur's Gate Enhanced Editions, clearly wants this to be a game you can play for quite some time before maxing out your various XP bars and perk unlocks. But prioritizing that meta layer seems to have left the rooms a bit too barren to be interesting and combat a bit too punitive to make me eager to jump back in for another run after losing the gear I'd just scrounged.

The GT 2 Pro has an impressive spec list, but also misses some crucial flagship features. The Realme GT 2 Pro launched back in January 2022 in China and was one of the first phones to feature Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. This phone has finally made its way to India, at a time when we have plenty of new flagships launching with the very same SoC. Some of these include the well-received Motorola Edge 30 Pro (Review), Samsung Galaxy S22 (Review), OnePlus 10 Pro (Review) and iQoo 9 Pro (Review). Realme's secret weapon to make sure the GT 2 Pro stands out is its aggressive pricing. The Realme GT 2 Pro starts at Rs. 49,999 in India, placing it in a segment that's currently filled with phones based on Qualcomm's previous-get flagship SoC, with the exception of the Motorola Edge 30 Pro. The GT 2 Pro misses out on a few flagship features such as wireless charging and an official IP rating, but the rest of the specs are pretty much on point. I've spent some time using it, and here are my initial impressions . The Realme GT 2 Pro ships in a fancy box, similar to other phones in the series. Inside, you'll find all the basic accessories such as the cable and charger, along with a protective case. The phone has a very interesting back panel that mimics the look and texture of paper products. Realme claims this is the first phone to use this bio-based polymer material, and it was designed in collaboration with Naoto Fukasawa, who has helped create many limited edition Realme phones in the past. The Realme GT Pro is very well built and feels sturdy. The aluminium frame has all the necessary ports and buttons in easy-to-reach places. Realme has intentionally gone with a flat display on the GT 2 Pro, which is great for practical purposes, and there's no compromise on the specs. The 6.7-inch 10-bit AMOLED panel has a QHD+ resolution and 120Hz maximum refresh rate. Brightness goes up to 1,400 nits and this panel uses LTPO 2.0 tech which means the refresh rate can scale down up to 1Hz in order to conserve power. As I mentioned earlier, the Realme GT 2 Pro uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Realme says it has used a stainless steel vapour cooling chamber and has optimised the placement of the 5G and Wi-Fi antennas along the frame for better connectivity when gaming or on a call. All of this sounds great and I can't wait to test this phone's capabilities in the full review. The GT 2 Pro is available with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. This top-end configuration is priced at Rs. 57,999. The base variant that starts at Rs. 49,999 has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The GT 2 Pro has a 5,000mAh battery with 65W SuperDart charging and stereo speakers. The GT 2 Pro runs on Realme UI 3.0 which is based on Android 12. No flagship Android phone in 2022 is complete without a good set of cameras, and the Realme GT 2 Pro seems to have a good foundation, at least on paper. The main camera uses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS. The ultra-wide camera also has a 50-megapixel resolution and uses the Samsung JN1 sensor with a 150-degree field of view, just like the OnePlus 10 Pro. The third camera, which Realme calls a "micro lens", has a 2-megapixel resolution and is capable of up to 40X magnification, and this thing is supposed to take macro photography to a whole new level. It's an interesting choice and I'm looking to forward to testing it more. On the front, the GT 2 Pro has a 32-megapixel selfie camera. The Realme GT 2 Pro's closest rival at the moment is the Motorola Edge 30 Pro (Review). The former offers a higher-resolution display, but the latter has wireless charging and an IP rating, which the GT 2 Pro lacks. With both models starting at around the same price, picking one over the other might be tough - but we'll help you decide.

Packing your tasks for the day into a Bento box. There are countless to-do apps on both Apple's App Store and the Google Play Store, but there's never been apps in this category that have focused on the basics - the jobs that are most important for the day ahead. This is where Bento(opens in new tab) comes in, an app available for iOS for $5.99 / £4.99 / AU$ 6.99(opens in new tab), and its creators want you to have this either as a companion to po[CENSORED]r apps Things 3 and OmniFocus, or as a quick go-to app for the tasks you have for the next few hours. The app focuses on the Bento methodology - three steps of Pack, Flow, and Focus to help you complete what you need to do. These are then compartmentalized into Bento Boxes, which can help lay out the time needed to achieve the tasks. Created by the team at Keep Productive(opens in new tab), a well-informative YouTube channel for advising you in improving your workflow, the group clearly wants to make sure that it makes an impact in its looks and how it follows the Bento methodology. With this in mind, we tried it out this week to see how it acted as a companion app for the day. Once you launch the app, you're greeted with a helpful introduction to what the Bento method is, followed by a helpful article by the team on using the app further. The app has a colorful layout that makes it a prime candidate to be both an iPad app, and a screensaver for an Apple TV. Some of the backgrounds you can choose from are animated, adding some extra personality to help make those three tasks more appealing to achieve. Using Bento over the course of a day, we used it to do a job that we would have otherwise used Things 3, Reminders, or Notes for. It can be confusing to set a timer on some tasks, as when we tried to, we more often than not arrived at the screen where we would change our Bento, when trying to activate it. If a toggle was here, it could help make the timer more obvious that you can tap something to count down. But otherwise, it does what it says on the tin, or the Bento box. While there's an Android version on its way, it would be great to see widgets in a future iOS or iPadOS update to better see your Bento boxes.

If you live in South Korea, you can buy one now. Intel has cleared up some questions over the availability of Arc-powered gaming laptops(opens in new tab), but if you were hoping for a specific time frame, you'll be let down. Earlier this week, the Intel Twitter account(opens in new tab) told a user that the laptops will be "available for purchase by the end of the second quarter of 2022." Previously, they were supposed to be available at the end of Q1, which has already ended. The account later corrected that statement, saying that the exact timing is unknown. "Apologies for the confusion, we had incorrect information," wrote Intel. "Samsung systems with Intel Arc graphics are available now in Korea and will scale to other regions. Additional OEMs in other regions will have systems in the coming weeks. We were hoping for more specific information than just "in coming weeks" considering that Arc 3 laptops(opens in new tab) were originally supposed to be out now. With them being out now in Korea, I guess that release window was technically correct. Based on the replies to that tweet, though, some folks really were really hoping that the Q1 release was for the rest of the world as well. Whenever they launch here, we're interested in seeing how well the low-end Arc 3 GPUs do—Intel is promising good performance(opens in new tab) for 1080p gaming. We welcome more competition, especially for low to mid-range gaming laptops. As far as the Arc A-Series desktop GPU that's slated for release this summer(opens in new tab), Intel hasn't released any new information, so we're still waiting for a more specific release window and info on the pricing.

The fashion king of Square Enix, Tetsuya Nomura, seems to be at it again: Kingdom Hearts 4 was announced at a special event celebrating the series' 20th anniversary. For those not in the know, Kingdom Hearts is a long-running action-RPG series which (in)famously crosses over the worlds of Disney and Final Fantasy, while also building out its own setting and lore. The series was created by Tetsuya Nomura, character designer on several classic Final Fantasy games and director of the excellent Final Fantasy 7 Remake(opens in new tab). The trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4 shows series protagonist Sora waking up in a minimalist apartment in a modern city. He seems to be trapped in this world of "Quadratum" and proceeds to do battle with a shadowy giant monster. The trailer ends with Donald Duck and Goofy searching for Sora in a lightless abyss, before getting accosted by an unseen foe. It's also unclear how Square Enix will handle this entry's PC release. Kingdom Hearts has been a PlayStation-centric series and Kingdom Hearts 3 did not see a PC port until just last year, releasing on the Epic Store alongside the vexingly-named series compilation, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. Square Enix has been pursuing more PC ports of its games in recent years, but the results have been uneven. The Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origins arrived on PC in a sorry state, both suffering from limited graphics options(opens in new tab) and frustrating performance issues(opens in new tab), and a significant stuttering issue in NieR: Automata was left unaddressed for four years after the game's release(opens in new tab). One can hope that Kingdom Hearts 4 gets a better-performing, more timely PC port than what we've seen in the past.

Google’s making good on an old promise to enhance search results. Google searches are about to get even more precise with the introduction of multisearch, a combination of text and image searching with Google Lens. After making an image search via Lens, you’ll now be able to ask additional questions or add parameters to your search to narrow the results down. Google’s use cases for the feature include shopping for clothes with a particular pattern in different colors or pointing your camera at a bike wheel and then typing “how to fix” to see guides and videos on bike repairs. According to Google, the best use case for multisearch, for now, is shopping results. The company is rolling out the beta of this feature on Thursday to US users of the Google app on both Android and iOS platforms. Just click the camera icon next to the microphone icon or open a photo from your gallery, select what you want to search, and swipe up on your results to reveal an “add to search” button where you can type additional text. MUM replaced the old AI model, BERT; Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers. MUM, according to Google, is around a thousand times more powerful than BERT. It’s in beta for now, but Google sure was making a big hoopla about MUM during its announcement. From what we’ve seen, Lens is usually pretty good at identifying objects and translating text. However, the AI enhancements will add another dimension to it and could make it a more useful tool for finding the information you need about what you're looking at right now, as opposed to general information about something like it. It does, though, beg the questions about how good it’ll be at specifying exactly what you want. For example, if you see a couch with a striking pattern on it but would rather have it as a chair, will you be able to reasonably find what you want? Will it be at a physical store or at an online storefront like WayFair? Google searches can often get inaccurate physical inventories of nearby stores, are those getting better, as well. We have plenty of questions, but they’ll likely only be answered once more people start using multisearch. The nature of AI is to get better with use, after all.

Smart App Control is coming, but the cost is a reset for existing Windows 11 users. Microsoft is getting ready to launch a security feature update for Windows 11(opens in new tab) aimed to "help protect hybrid work" from malicious apps and other potential security risks for enterprise users. The price for this extra layer of security is going to be a clean reinstall of Windows 11. Smart App Control is designed by default to prevent you from running malicious apps downloaded from the web, according to Microsoft(opens in new tab) (thanks PCWorld(opens in new tab)). Since the app is woven into the OS (hence the required reset), it keeps track of things on a process level, using a combo of code-signing by the app maker and an "AI model for application trust" to determine if the software is safe. Any app Windows 11 considers shady will be blocked from opening. Smart App Control isn't the only new feature coming in this security update. There are improvements coming in account and credentials security and encryption. As a part of Microsoft's Zero Trust(opens in new tab) push, the idea is to improve protection against phishing attacks and better detection for users visiting websites with compromised security. "Microsoft is continuously investing in improving the default security baseline for Windows and is focused on closing gaps on top attack vectors," says David Weston, VP of enterprise and OS security at Microsoft. These new security upgrades will be available as part of the upcoming "22H2" security update. This means anyone running 22H1 or older on Windows 11 will have to do a mandatory system reset, or you can opt-out. If you're still waiting to upgrade to Windows 11, you can hold off until this update goes live and skip having to reinstall Windows.

He can hold the stars, but he can't hold his breath. Here's a tip for one of the most notorious Elden Ring(opens in new tab) bosses: let Radahn defeat himself. You don't need magic or a powered-up weapon, you just need enough dignity to let one of the most feared warriors in the Lands Between launch himself off the map to an instant death. Some devious Elden Ring players have discovered that Radahn's gravity magic has a fatal weakness, and that weakness is water. When you get about halfway through the big guy's health bar, he propels himself into the sky and zooms back down as a deadly meteor. Usually you need to run like mad to dodge what is almost surely an one-hit death, but if you instead lure Radahn over near the water in his massive boss arena, he will land in it and sink. To pull this off you need to start by fighting Radahn normally, preferably by summoning all the allies that are available in the fight. That'll keep Radahn distracted while you throw magic at him or get a few sword swipes in. When he's close to half health, you can start to lure him towards the water on horseback. If you stay slightly outside of his melee range, he'll have no choice but to chase you, and you can take him all the way to the edge of the ocean and trigger his meteor attack. Did you ever hear the tragedy of General Radahn The Starscourge?" joked Reddit user sebaniko93(opens in new tab) in a post where someone showed off this method. "I thought not. It's not a story the Roundtable would tell you." It's always humbling to see that while everyone is touting rune farms(opens in new tab) and the best weapons to use, someone finds a way to achieve something difficult in the most ridiculous way possible.

Samsung Galaxy M13 5G, a rumoured handset from the South Korean tech giant, is reportedly making its way to the market soon. Ahead of any official confirmation, live images of the phone have surfaced online suggesting the possible design. The renders show Samsung Galaxy M13 5G in a Black colour option and suggest a dual rear camera setup on the back, along with an LED flash. It is likely to feature a waterdrop-style notch display. Samsung Galaxy M13 5G is expected to succeed the Samsung Galaxy M12 4G that was unveiled in February last year. A report by 91Mobiles has leaked the alleged live images of Samsung Galaxy M13 5G. The leaked live shots show the handset in a Black colourway, but the Galaxy M13 5G is expected to come in different colour options upon launch. The renders of the Samsung smartphone suggest a dual rear camera unit arranged in the upper left corner on the back along with an LED flash. The renders also show volume rockers and a power button on the right spine of the smartphone. The power button might double up as a fingerprint scanner as well. In the leaked images, a SIM tray is seen arranged on the left spine. A microphone can be seen at the bottom edge, along with a USB Type-C port and a speaker grille. Besides, Samsung Galaxy M13 5G is seen to pack a waterdrop-style notch display. Samsung has not shared any details about the launch of the Samsung Galaxy M13 5G in India. However, the production of the device is said to have recently started in the country. The Galaxy M13 is said to carry model number SM-M135 in India. As per past leaks, Galaxy M13 5G could run on Android 11-based OneUI skin out-of-the-box. It is said to feature a 6.5-inch full HD+ display and a 5,000mAh battery. The handset could pack 6GB RAM and is said to offer 128GB of onboard storage as well.

A long-requested feature is coming. Been wishing you could edit spelling mistakes out of your tweets without having to delete them? You're in luck: Twitter has announced that it's working on an edit feature. The request for an edit button has become a meme in itself; Tweeters have been asking for this feature for literally years. If you use Twitter, you've most likely been in a situation where you posted a tweet from the previous evening and notice there's a missing letter or a missing comma that skews what you were trying to convey. But while this sounds like good news for many, it may be an example of being careful what you wish for. Other social platforms have had this feature for years. If you posted something on Facebook for example and it's missing a word, you can quickly edit the post and add the word back in. Instagram and Tiktok also have similar features, but for Twitter, it's not as simple as adding an edit button. Many users have wanted an easy method to edit a tweet without deleting it, especially if it's about a topic that's long since finished for example. But Twitter has a slippery slope with this, as many use the platform as a news feed and as a way of conversing with followers on certain subjects. Editing these tweets could make your input worse. But there are other dangers to this feature if it's not implemented right. Twitter's Head of Consumer Product, Jay Sullivan, rightly said(opens in new tab) during the announcement, that editing a tweet could alter a topic of conversation that could be sensitive to many, and could construe different meanings. Editing tweets is not something that I've wanted Twitter to focus on - it's rather a bigger focus on curtailing abuse and spam accounts that have been more prevalent since the pandemic began in 2020. But this feature could stay as a test, or as an exclusive feature of Twitter Blue. However, the announcement has excited many, so it now depends on whether the feature measures up to the wishes of its users, or if it's used to alter conversations for the worse. Regardless of what happens, Twitter clearly has another challenge on its hands now that editing tweets are finally official.

This impressive Ryzen Edition Alienware Aurora R10 gaming PC is selling for less than $2,000. The Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10 is one of the best gaming PCs(opens in new tab) you can buy, and right now the Aurora R10 is $1,960 at Dell.com(opens in new tab), $810 off its MSRP. The best part is there isn't much lead time on the order, so you can be playing Elden Ring(opens in new tab) or Lego Star Wars(opens in new tab) as early as next week. The Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10 includes an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X backed up by 16GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and, of course, the star of the show, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080(opens in new tab). It's currently the all-around best GPU out there, and it's cheaper to buy the system than a 3080 on its own right now. On the storage front, you get a 1TB NVMe SSD for your money, which gives you a decent amount of space to start with. NVMe SSDs are pretty pricey, so it's nice to see this instead of 512GB SSD, which we've seen in a lot in recent laptop and desktop deals. The Aurora R10 comes in the 'love it or hate it' Dark Side of the Moon chassis, which runs a bit loud, so invest in a good gaming headset(opens in new tab). We like that the Ryzen Edition of the R10 uses quad 10mm copper heat pipes for better overall cooling, though. There are a bunch of USB ports (3 x USB 3.2, 6 x USB 2.0, 2 x USB Type-C), so you shouldn't have to unplug a webcam or controller or VR headset sensor to find a spot for your phone charging cable. This sale at Dell is going to end in about a day. For more, check out the review(opens in new tab) of an all-AMD version of the R10 we checked out last year.

From pausing the game to a Ranni skin, here are the best Elden Ring mods. Elden Ring mods aren't necessarily going to be the first thing you think of when jumping into FromSoftware's latest game for the first time. But if you've already experienced everything the Lands Between has to offer, it might be time to change things up and start hunting down some mods. There are still good reasons to dip your toe into modding right from the start, though. Maybe you want to make the game easier, or perhaps you just want to be able to pause the action to catch your breath while working your way through a particularly tricky area. Whatever the reason, this guide will point you in the direction of the best Elden Ring mods. A word of warning: You need to disable the anti-cheat software to get any mod to work, which should automatically take the game offline. Windows Central has a guide(opens in new tab) on how to do this, but even so, proceed at your own risk. If you accidentally go online with mods installed, you risk getting banned. You've probably noticed that the camera in Elden Ring automatically tries to recenter itself, which can produce awkward angles at crucial times. If this is something you just can't get used to, this mod aims to fix that. It currently works fine with mouse and keyboard users, and the author is working on improvements if you use a controller. Again, this mod should be self-explanatory. To make the game more accessible: reducing incoming damage, increasing your attack power, boosting the number of runes you acquire, or dramatically reducing the number of items needed to upgrade weapons. If Elden Ring isn't hard enough for you already, this mod is right up your street. It increases enemy stats to that of NG+ and enhances their AI, so they have a much larger aggro range and are much more difficult to sneak up on. This mode also restricts fast travel to churches and cathedrals. Everyone loves Ranni so what's better than to be able to play the game with her appearance? Run around in the Lands Between as your favourite blue-haired witch and have her take matters into her own hands, rather than waiting for some lowly tarnished to do her bidding. Tired of riding Torrent around the Lands Between? He may be your trusty steed but he does look a bit worse for wear—luckily, that's where this mod comes in. It replaces Torrent with the Night's Cavalry horse, which may or may not be in a better state, but as it's pretty much covered with some sort of blanket, does it really matter? Wolf helms are great, but cat ears are even better. Give your tarnished that Final Fantasy 14 vibe with this handy mod. It replaces two of the headpieces in-game with cat ears which come in two different colours. And you can even choose whether the insides of the ears are fluffy. Those bosses will surely cower in fear.

A collaborative project between Microsoft and the UK Environment Agency. In conjunction with the UK Environment Agency, Microsoft has launched a new mode for Minecraft: Education Edition. Known as 'Rivercraft', the mode is designed to teach students about the impact of climate-change-induced flooding on local communities. RiverCraft focusses on the £54.7m flood defence scheme currently being built in Preston, a combination of flood walls, glass panels and embankments, designed to reduce flood-risk to almost 5,000 homes in the area. The mode contains three different games, each of which focus on a different area of tackling flooding induced by climate change. "Managing Flooding" sees players build their own version of Preston's flood-defences, before flooding the area to measure their success. "Flood Prevention" sees players explore how individuals can help alleviate climate change. Finally "Our Local Environment" involves conducting an in-game ecological survey to locate and record local wildlife species. The mode was built on behalf of the Environment Agency by BlockBuilders, a Brighton-based company that specialises in building Minecraft worlds for educational purposes. "We got the 3D data of Preston, which is freely available online, and turned it into a Minecraft world," Megan Leckie, Co-founder of Blockbuilders, told Microsoft. "But that data creates generic buildings, so we collected screenshots and imagery of Preston and added details to the structures to replicate how they are in real life. Flooding is a growing problem in Preston and the wider county of Lancashire, with severe floods occurring in 2015 and 2020. The former flood affected 2,500 homes and caused damage estimated at £1.3bn. On the subject of RiverCraft, Minecraft's Director of Learning Programmes Justin Edwards stated the mode is "at the forefront" of Microsoft's vision of "making a better world through the power of play.
