Six weeks…or as the team on "Fox and Friends FIRST" called it – the "Spring of Todd." Playing off the old "Seinfeld" episode called "The Summer of George," where the character George Costanza plans an activity-filled three months away from work that ultimately ends with him failing to leave his apartment, I told the "FIRST" team – mostly parents themselves -- about all the tasks I was going to accomplish during my paternity leave. They laughed…and mocked me for my naivete. And even though I knew they were probably correct – that I would get none of my tasks done – I didn’t know how correct they would prove to be. CELEBRITIES WHO HAD BABIES IN 2021 -Finally watch "Mad Men"? Ha! Some days I didn’t have time to turn on the TV. -Streamline my contacts list? The only "contact" I contacted was my wife and that was to ask "WHERE do I put that cream?" "How do I tell the difference between the different cries?" and "Why is there a color wheel for what comes out of this child?" That smile coming from the crib each morning, immediately followed by morning snuggles – is what I will cherish the most. There is nothing better. -Follow a workout regimen of running and flexibility training? The only running I did was to heat up bottles to soothe a screaming child and the only flexibility I demonstrated was the incessant one-handed bend to pick up the pacifier thrown to the floor approximately 20 times a day! CLICK HERE TO GET OUR OPINION NEWSLETTER And you know what – I wouldn’t change a thing – because if I did one thing correctly in my anticipation of leave, it was to remind myself to enjoy the ride. When I look back on high school and college, I regret that I was so focused on the end goal that I didn’t appreciate the journey. Thanks to the benefits of wisdom that come with getting older, I wasn’t going to make that mistake again. That doesn’t mean the ride is easy – and every parent knows that. So, I tried to capture my first-time father's observations for the world to see on social media (Twitter: @toddpiro; Instagram: @todd.piro). Among my "favorites": -When you are not changing or feeding your kid, you are performing a constant song and dance routine where you inject your child’s name into every third word of the music and jump around your kitchen like an inebriated uncle at a wedding. A flailing of body parts and creepy clown face expressions that somehow is the greatest sight in your baby’s new life every single time you do it. -The Nose Frida: if you know what it is, you understand. If you don’t, please don’t look it up – just maintain your innocence as long as you can. -Baby Shark works. It just does. I don’t know why. I don’t know how. I don’t care. But my favorite observation from the past six weeks needs no witty description. It’s simply watching love unfold before your eyes. A love in her eyes for you. A love for her in a part of your heart you didn’t know existed. It’s a love where everything you say is the funniest. And if you’ve seen "Fox and Friends FIRST," not everything I say is as funny as I think it is – just ask my co-anchor Jillian! It’s a love where even the vilest of tasks are ones you know you will miss one day – maybe not tomorrow… maybe not 6 months from now… but one day.

Days after SEAT introduced the Ibiza facelift, Volkswagen is getting ready to unveil the mechanically related Polo with a mid-cycle update. The virtual wraps are coming off Thursday (April 22), and to ease the wait, a teaser image has been published to provide a sneak preview. The subcompact hatchback gets a striking purple paint and redesigned LED headlights. What the numerous spy shots of prototypes have failed to show because of VW's sneaky camouflage is the light bar embedded into the front grille. Perhaps we should've seen it coming considering bigger-brother Golf Mk8 has a similar setup. It's there to create a visual connection between the LED daytime running lights, which also have a separate boomerang-shaped motif at the corners of the headlights. Gallery: 2022 VW Polo facelift spy photos 2022 VW Polo facelift spy photo 26 Photos The peeps from Wolfsburg aren't providing any details regarding the technical specifications, but surely the gasoline-only engine lineup is borderline identical to that of the 2021 Ibiza. We're hoping the Polo GTI will also be revealed on Thursday and perhaps we'll see the lesser-known TGI version as well with its thrifty powertrain running on compressed natural gas. We're curious to find out whether the Polo will get the tablet-styled infotainment that debuted in the Ibiza last week, changing the dashboard significantly as it required moving the air vents lower on the center console. The screen doesn't seem to be sticking out from the dash in these adjacent spy shots showing a prototype, so maybe the German supermini will retain the original layout and only make the screen possibly larger. With the Ibiza out and the Polo only days away from its official premiere, our attention will be gradually turning to the all-new Skoda Fabia debuting in early May. The fancier Audi A1 Sportback is also likely getting ready for an update, which might be its last one as the Four Rings have hinted the posh hatchback could bow out after the current generation.

Russia has announced that 20 diplomats from the Czech Republic will be expelled after the Czechs expelled 18 Russian diplomats. The Russian diplomats are suspected of being intelligence operatives involved in an explosion at a Czech arms depot in 2014 which killed two people. Two Russians suspected of carrying out a nerve agent attack in the UK in 2018 are now also being linked to the blast. EU foreign ministers are due to discuss the accusations. A city watching out for Russian and Chinese spies Moscow has given the Czech diplomats a day to leave, while the Czech Republic has given the Russians 72 hours. Russia's foreign ministry called the Czech decision "unprecedented" and a "hostile act". "In their desire to please the United States against the background of recent US sanctions against Russia, Czech authorities in this respect even outdid their masters from across the pond," said a foreign ministry statement. What are the claims? Czech authorities say the diplomats are believed to be intelligence operatives, accusations the Russians have classed as unfounded and absurd. The explosion tore apart an ammunitions storage depot in a forest at Vrbetice in the Czech Republic on 16 October 2014. Site of 2014 explosion at Vrbětice image captionThe explosion destroyed a remote ammunition storage facility situated in a Czech forest Windows in nearby buildings were blown out and local schools were evacuated as emergency vehicles rushed to the scene. The remains of two men - aged 56 and 69 - who worked at the site were found more than a month later. The blast was assumed to have been an accident. Russian spy: What happened to the Skripals? What is the Salisbury poisoning's legacy? Skripal poisoning: Third man 'commanded attack' But painstaking detective work by the Czech authorities has pointed the finger at Moscow - and Unit 29155 of Russia's GRU intelligence agency. How might the UK nerve agent suspects be involved? Czech Police have identified two men in connection with the blast - Alexander Mishkin and Anatoly Chepigov - who are also accused of involvement in an attack using the nerve agent Novichok in the English city of Salisbury three years ago. Sergei Skripal, a former Russian double agent, and his daughter Yulia were poisoned, while a local woman, Dawn Sturgess, was killed months later by Novichok traces on a discarded perfume bottle. Investigative site Bellingcat identified the Salisbury suspects Ruslan Boshirov as Anatoly Chepiga, and Alexander Petrov as Alexander Mishkin, both GRU officers. Passports image captionPassport scans were given to gain access to the site in the Czech Republic Czech police matched images of the blast suspects to the two accused by Britain of the Salisbury poisoning. The clue came from passport photos sent in an email to Imex Group, the company which operated the depot. The email claimed to come from the National Guard of Tajikistan. It asked for two men to be given access to the site for an inspection visit. Scans of their passports were attached. The men were said to be Ruslan Tabarov from Tajikistan and Nicolaj Popa, a Moldovan citizen. media captionWhat do we know about the Russian intelligence organisation, the GRU? The pictures on the passports match those of the two men accused by Britain of the Salisbury poisoning. The men booked into accommodation in Ostrava, near the ammunition depot on 13 October. They were booked to stay until 17 October. The explosion took place on the 16th and that day the pair headed to Austria to fly from Vienna airport to Moscow. The authorities do not appear to know exactly how the depot was blown up. Why might the depot have been targeted? Czech media reports, quoting unnamed investigators, suggest arms and ammunition at the depot might have been destined for either Ukrainian forces fighting pro-Russian rebels or rebels in Syria fighting the Russian-backed government there.

We've encountered beaucoups of Raspberry Pi cyberdecks over the years and even a few tricorders but this is one of the coolest Pi-based tricorder cyberdecks we've come across. It was created by a maker who goes by Himmelen4 and is designed to resemble a TR-560 Tricorder VI standard model from Star Trek: The Next Generation. The best Raspberry Pi projects make science fiction a reality—something Star Trek has provided inspiration for over the years. According to Himmelen4, it's fully customizable so modifying the design is possible for a variety of functions. It has multiple screens and a custom keyboard that can be programmed for any input needs. Himmelin4 has shared plenty of pictures on Imgur that show off the internal components which are very well-packed inside the tricorder case. The outer shell is 3D-printed and even has holes for external port access. It relies on a Raspberry Pi Zero and includes additional components to bring the cyberdeck together like a GPS board and a NESDR SDR radio module. There are two Adafruit screens used in the tricorder design: one in the top half and a smaller screen next to the keyboard in the bottom half. The keyboard was wired from scratch and featured 3D-printed keycaps. This project is a work in progress so be sure to follow Himmelen4 for more updates. In the meantime, visit the original thread on Reddit to see the progress so far.

The Nintendo Switch will be the first console to get Thatgamecompany's Sky: Children of the Light, a collaborative multiplayer game that launched on iOS in 2019 and Android in 2020. The studio has confirmed that the game will launch on Switch in June, after the COVID-19 pandemic forced it to delay the port. Sky shares a lot of the same structure and design philosophy as the studio's earlier game Journey, expanding on its unique multiplayer and co-operative aspects. The game rewards players for helping others by leading them through difficult sections, helping with puzzle-solving, or showing new players to secret areas. It's good news then for potential Switch players that the game will support crossplay with the established player communities on iOS and Android, who will be able to lend a helping hand when the Switch version launches in June. Just like its mobile iterations, Sky: Children Of The Light will be free-to-start on the Switch. The game is monetized through a season pass that rewards extra cosmetics and bonuses each season, as well as through purchasable packs of "candles" that are used to unlock cosmetics and gestures--though these items can also be unlocked through regular gameplay. Sky is currently on its ninth season, the Season of Assembly. While seasonal events are no longer available after the season ends, new players can pick up the limited-edition cosmetics from seasons they missed from Traveling Spirits, who arrive in the game every two weeks.

This dog’s bite was worse than her bark -- at least for the man allegedly trying to rob her owner. Amy Edmondson, 30, from Southend-on-Sea, U.K., was heading home from a walk with her dog, Star, last week around 11:30 p.m., when a couple approached her and asked for directions, Edmondson told SWNS. When she turned to show them where to go, the man attacked her, Edmondson told the news agency. The man reportedly jumped on her back, pushed her to the ground and held a knife to her throat. WORLD’S LONGEST RABBIT STOLEN FROM FORMER PLAYBOY MODEL: POLICE "They kept saying give me your money, where’s your money, we need your money," The Basildon Canvey Southend Echo. She told SWNS she was on the ground "for what felt like forever." "I just kept thinking, I'm going to die, there's no way to get this bloke off me," Edmondson told The Echo. She also worried about what was going to happen to her 9-year-old son Riley. "All I was thinking was that my son was going to grow up without a mum [sic] and my dog was going to be without me," she told the newspaper. Edmondson, 30, thought she was going to die before Star bit the mugger on the leg and refused to let go. Thankfully, Star was there to step in. "Then I let go of my dog’s lead and she just jumped on him and started biting his leg," Edmondson said. "Star is my little lifesaver," Edmondson said. "Without her I wouldn’t be here." "She wouldn't let go," Edmondson added, per SWNS. "The woman ran off at that point, and the bloke was saying, 'Get this f---ing dog off me'." When Edmondson told him to get off her so she could get Star, he ran away too, Edmondson said. Edmondson said that she didn’t really expect Star, a pit bull mix, to attack her mugger -- but she was so grateful Star did. "It was actually really out of character for her - she's the most loving little dog usually, she would lick anyone to death," Edmondson told SWNS. "Star is my little lifesaver," she added. "Without her I wouldn’t be here. She’s the most loving dog you will meet. I have never seen her like that but it just shows she was protecting me."

Before the turn of the decade, if you were interested in a fully electric SUV, your options were minimal. Now, with more legacy automakers making the switch, the market has broadened significantly. Today, you can walk out of a dealership with an electric SUV for less than $40,000! If you are financially savvy or a marketer, the price could plummet to less than $30,000 if you factor in local and state tax credits. The list of available and soon-to-be-available electric SUVs is expanding, so let's dive into which models you can buy right now and which ones will be available soon and even in the farther off future. For up-to-date specs, including price, range, power, 0-60 MPH times and so much more, check out our comprehensive Compare EVs guide here. 2021 Electric SUVs These electric SUVs are either available already or will be very soon (before the end of the 2021 calendar year). There are quite a few options, including Teslas, a Ford, an Audi, a Volkswagen and more. Remember, all pricing, range and release date mentions apply to the U.S. market only. Let's see what's available in the electric SUV category for 2021. 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E Despite much controversy (mainly surrounding its borrowed Mustang name), the Ford Mustang Mach-e proves itself as one of the best new Ford SUVs. Unlike other Ford models, the Mach-e has a near-completely bespoke interior, making it feel much more different from your typical Ford. Even in the "Select" model, the overall interior quality is quite impressive aside from the plasticky dash inlays. Its performance is solid, but its zero to sixty times are usually slower in real-world use than Ford's magnanimous estimates. Release Date: Available now Pricing: Starting from $42,895 Electric Range: 211 to 300 miles Base Power: 266 HP Tax Credit: Up to $7,500 2021 Audi e-tron The 2021 Audi e-tron hit the market strong, featuring improved range and lower pricing than the previous model year. The e-tron features a conservatively designed exterior complementing a pleasantly laid-out interior composed of high-quality materials. The e-tron is very pleasant to drive with more than quick acceleration and air suspension as standard in every model. There is an e-tron S set to release in the near future that will pack a more considerable punch with a tri-motor setup. Release Date: Available now Pricing: $65,900 / $69,100 Electric Range: 222 miles Base Power:355 horsepower (402 in Boost Mode) Tax Credit: Available $7,500 federal tax credit

President Joe Biden has reversed course hours after signing an order to keep the number of refugees admitted annually to the US at Trump-era levels. Mr Biden drew ire on Friday as he held the cap at the historically low figure of 15,000, two months after he pledged to increase it to 65,500. The White House later said Mr Biden would raise the refugee cap next month. Reports say Mr Biden is concerned about letting in more people amid a record influx at the US-Mexico border. UN figures indicate there are more than 80 million refugees worldwide, with 85% of them hosted by developing countries. What did Biden's order do? The White House said Friday's order would speed up refugee admissions to the US - since October around 2,000 people have been admitted under the programme. The order also changes the allocation of who is allowed in, with more slots being provided to arrivals from Africa, the Middle East and Central America, and an end to restrictions on resettlements from Somalia, Syria and Yemen. The suffocated youth unafraid of a perilous journey The challenges facing Biden at the US-Mexico border First photos emerge of Biden-era detention centres But Mr Biden - who vowed to raise the cap on refugees during his campaign - kept the maximum number allowed in annually at 15,000, a ceiling set by his predecessor as president, Donald Trump. Mr Biden stated the Trump-era cap "remains justified by humanitarian concerns and is otherwise in the national interest". What did the White House say later? White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said the Democratic president's directive had been the "subject of some confusion" after the news sparked outrage among aid groups, as well as from within Mr Biden's own party. Senate Foreign Relations Chair Bob Menendez described the figure as "appallingly low". Ms Psaki blamed Mr Biden's failure to deliver on the 62,500 figure that he announced to Congress two months ago on "the decimated refugee admissions programme we inherited". Ms Psaki said Mr Biden's order on Friday was meant to allow refugee flights to the US to begin within days. Presentational grey line media captionMoment children are dropped over US border wall Presentational grey line The press secretary added: "With that done, we expect the president to set a final, increased refugee cap for the remainder of this fiscal year by May 15." She did not specify a number, though she said "his initial goal of 65,000 seems unlikely". In a speech to the state department in February, Mr Biden vowed to raise the figure to 125,000 within the next budget year. Nearly 85,000 refugees were resettled in the US during the final year of Barack Obama's presidency. What's the reaction? Jenny Yang, senior vice-president at World Relief, a humanitarian organisation, told CNN that White House claims the US refugee resettlement programme needed to be rebuilt after the Trump years was "a completely false narrative". "It's not grounded in any sort of reality," she said. "It's not that they don't have the resources. It's a purely political calculation at this point." A US official earlier told Reuters news agency the administration had been concerned about looking "too open" with rising numbers of migrants arriving at the Mexican borders. In March, at least 172,000 migrants were stopped at the US-Mexico border - the most in 20 years - and many were unaccompanied children. Mr Trump's speechwriter and immigration adviser Stephen Miller tweeted that the directive "reflects Team Biden's awareness that the border flood will cause record midterm losses", referring to the congressional elections that happen midway through a president's term, which will next be held in November 2022. The Biden order left some Democrats aghast. Left-wing New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted: "Upholding the xenophobic and racist policies of the Trump admin, incl the historically low + plummeted refugee cap, is flat out wrong. Keep your promise."

With the emergence of the Chia cryptocurrency, miners in China are frantically snatching up every piece of hard drive and SSD. Unlike other cryptocurrencies, you don't mine Chia with a processor, graphics card or ASIC miner. Instead, you farm Chia with storage space, which is where hard drives or SSDs come in. Unlike Bitcoin, which is based on proof of work, Chia utilizes a proof of space and time model. Chia reportedly arrives as an eco-friendly cryptocurrency. Bram Cohen, who's best known as the inventor of BitTorrent, created Chia to leverage the free space on storage devices. The basis behind Chia is that hard drives and SSDs use less power, are easier to come by and cheaper to purchase. By comparison, mining Ethereum or Bitcoin on a mass scale contributes to the electricity waste. According to HKEPC's report, miners are mass purchasing hard drives that span from 4TB to 18TB in capacity. The panic buying will ultimately lead to a hard drive shortage and price hikes. In Hong Kong, hard drive and SSD pricing is expected to increase between 200 HKD to $600 HKD (~$26 to $77). Due to the constant read and write operations, consumer SSDs aren't the first choice for farming Chia. Nothing is safe from miners though when a profit is there to be made though. Jiahe Jinwei, one of the big domestic manufacturers in China, told media outlet MyDrivers that the company's Gloway and Asgard high-performance 1TB and 2TB NVMe M.2 SSDs are all sold out. The manufacturer plans to put restrictions in place to stop miners from buying enormous amounts of consumer SSDs. Subsequently, the company will also increase production to meet the demand. Apparently, Jiahe Jinwei is even developing a specialized SSD for mining operations. Farming on a consumer SSD is viable, but the more serious miners will likely look to the enterprise side. Endurance is just as important as capacity and performance, and enterprise or data center SSDs typically meet these three criterias. Chia isn't officially available for trading yet, therefore, it's too early to start hoarding hard drives or SSDs. Many cryptocurrencies come and go so it'll be interesting to see how Chia pans out. A few years ago, no one took Bitcoin seriously, and today it's worth over $62,000.

Since the start, each mainline Assassin's Creed game has typically grown in size and superseded that of the previous title, with the three games in the prequel trilogy--Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla--dwarfing all the others (with the exception of Black Flag, which continues to have one of the largest maps in the franchise to date). And though I've enjoyed my long journeys across the deserts of Ptolemaic Egypt, war-torn island communities of ancient Greece, and fields of Anglo-Saxon England, I think it's time that Ubisoft created a smaller setting for Assassin's Creed. A smaller setting could condense the overall experience of Assassin's Creed, which would ensure certain storylines can be better realized and that players can more easily experience the best that the game has to offer. To Better Serve The Story Now it's worth pointing out that I don't think a big map is inherently a bad thing. Though I still have my qualms with the pacing of Odyssey's story (especially Chapter 5, which can seriously drag), there's such a sense of joy in riding your horse to the top of a hill, looking out at the glistening ocean, noticing a tiny speck of another island in the far distance, and knowing that you can set sail for it and reach it without encountering a single loading screen. Odyssey wants you to explore because your character, Kassandra, wants to explore after being cooped up on the same island for most of her life. Now Playing: The Hidden History Of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla Of the three games in the prequel trilogy, Odyssey has managed to take advantage of its staggeringly large map size the best, utilizing a fully realized Greece to deliver on the promise of sending the player on an odyssey to reunite their biological family, only to discover that family is what you make of it--blood does not have to define it. That's the map acting in service to its story; Kassandra's tale is an adventure, with some awesome side stories scattered around the vast map. There are encounters such as meeting Daphnae at the very start of the game and learning about the Daughters of Artemis, an all-women community that involves you in a a side-quest that continues until you nearly reach the endgame level cap, as well as running into and falling in love with Kyra over the course of the phenomenal nine-part Silver Islands questline. It all helps sell why Kassandra would regularly deviate from her path--which, in theory, should have been rather linear--and stretch her journey over the course of years. It's a lifelong odyssey to discover the meaning of family, which is reflected in the giant setting that is filled to the brim with many families to meet; some are dysfunctional, others are loving, but they all shape Kassandra through the decisions you make for her, ultimately resulting in one of several possible families she can bring together by the end of the campaign. You can't really say the same for Origins and Valhalla, both of which possess stories that suffer a bit from the large settings they take place in. Origins is the story of a cop and his wife and how their quest for revenge twisted their actions so that they protected those in power and didn't serve the people. The map is large and filled with many side quests and activities but rarely do they have much to do with the fact that you're aiding Cleopatra in seizing control away from others to benefit her. Most quests actually see you aid the people, which goes against the overall story that Origins is trying to tell--only a few storylines support how Bayek and Aya are in the wrong for most of the game. But they're drowned out; the setting is so big that it has to be filled with things to do in order to avoid having a large, empty map.

Panera wants to help people burn off some carbs and save the planet with a limited-edition Bread Bowl Bike. The fast-casual food chain announced it is hosting a "Panera Earth Day Sweepstakes" that will award 30 lucky winners a Panera-themed bicycle that’s equipped with an insulated bread bowl basket and bike flashlight upfront. PANERA 'SOLVES' DILEMMA FOR ICED COFFEE DRINKERS WITH WINTRY BREAD BOWL HAND WARMER "We’re celebrating #EarthMonth with a *limited-edition* Bread Bowl Bike!" The Panera Bread Twitter account wrote in an announcement post on Wednesday. "With the global bike shortage, now’s the time to enter for a chance to win." The Panera Bread Bowl Bikes are custom made by Vivelo and feature the restaurant’s signature green, brown and off-white colors. According to Panera’s sweepstake terms, entries will be accepted until the last minute of Earth Day, which is Thursday, April 22, at 11:59 EST. Participants can enter their contact information for a chance to win on the company’s dedicated Earth Day website. PANERA IS THE FIRST RESTAURANT BRAND TO LABEL CLIMATE-FRIENDLY MEALS Eligible winners must be U.S. residents and at least 18-year-old. Florida residents are excluded from the sweepstakes due to scheduling conflicts with the giveaway’s pre-determined timeline, a media representative for Panera told Fox News. "During Earth Month, there is often a call to switch to transportation like riding your bike, but due to demand for bikes from COVID shut downs (people wanting to be outside more), bike shortages will likely last until 2022," a statement from Panera Bread reads. "Unfortunately, that means this year you might see less bikes on the road. But Panera wants help you do your part." Panera says the total approximate retail value of the soon-to-be awarded bikes is $33,000, which puts each bike at a retail value of $1,100. The starting cost of a custom Vivelo bicycle is $849, according to the bike manufacturer’s website. Panera’s limited-edition bikes aren’t the first time the brand has incorporated its iconic bread bowl in a lifestyle product. In January, the company teamed up with accessory manufacturer 500 Degrees to release a limited run of bread bowl gloves that can hold iced coffee comfortably in cold weather. The bike offering also comes five months after Panera introduced climate-friendly menu options, which are denoted with "Cool Food Meal" badges

After originally debuting as a concept at the 2015 North American International Auto Show, the Hyundai Santa Cruz pickup is finally premiering in production form. It's worth noting that the company doesn't refer to the model as a "truck," though, and instead prefers the more nebulous Sport Adventure Vehicle. The Santa Cruz comes standard with a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder. For now, Hyundai is only saying that it makes 190+ horsepower (142+ kilowatts) and 180+ pound-feet (244+ Newton-meters) of torque. The engine connects to an eight-speed automatic with all-wheel drive, and this setup can tow up to 3,500 pounds (1,588 kilograms). Gallery: 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz Front Three-Quarter Angle Desert 62 Photos The optional engine is a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder producing 275+ hp (205+ kW) and 310+ lb-ft (420+ Nm). It uses an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic that includes steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters for manually changing gears. All-wheel drive is standard, and the turbo model can 5,000 pounds (2,268 kilograms). The Santa Cruz has a front end that's similar to the 2022 Tucson by adopting daytime running lights that incorporate cleanly into the grille design. You can really only notice them when illuminated. There are additional stacked lights in the lower corners. In profile, the Santa Cruz has a steeply raked A-pillar that makes the front look sleek. The C-pillar is also angled for a more dynamic appearance than making it vertical. There are neat touches, like tiny silhouettes of the model at the top of the fender cladding. The party is at the back where the Santa Cruz's bed offers several useful features. Its floor measures 52.1 inches (132.3 centimeters) long. A portion of the bed also lifts up to reveal a hidden storage area. Steps at the corner of the bumper make for an easier step into the rear. Hyundai is also promising to offer bed extension accessories. Another option is an extendable tonneau cover at the base of the cab that owners can extend and lock into place when wanting to secure cargo from the outside. The Santa Cruz comes standard with an eight-inch infotainment screen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Buyers can upgrade to a 10-inch display. Customers can also opt for a digital instrument cluster. For keeping stuff on the inside, the rear seats fold up to reveal storage cubbies underneath them. The Santa Cruz's standard safety suite includes forward collision avoidance assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keeping assist, and driver attention warning. As options, buyers can add adaptive cruise control, blind-spot collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, a blind-spot camera, safe exit assist, surround-view monitor.

The ex-officer accused of killing George Floyd says he will not testify on his own behalf as the defence rests their case and court is adjourned. Derek Chauvin denies killing Mr Floyd. Jurors are due to begin deliberating his fate on Monday morning. Video of Mr Chauvin kneeling on the neck of Mr Floyd led to worldwide protests against racism and policing. Tensions in Minneapolis are running high after an unrelated police shooting of a black man in a nearby suburb. Experts say it would be unusual for a suspect to take the stand in their own defence during a trial. Before the jury was brought into the courtroom on Thursday, Mr Chauvin was asked a series of questions about his decision not to testify. His defence lawyer, Eric Nelson, began by asking whether he and Mr Chauvin had previously discussed his decision. "Correct," Mr Chauvin said several times. "To say we've gone kind of back and forth on the matter is kind of understatement, isn't that right?" asked Mr Nelson. "Yes it is," Mr Chauvin responded, as they both briefly smiled. "I will invoke my Fifth Amendment privilege today," Mr Chauvin then told the court, referring to the constitutional right to stay silent in fear of self-incrimination. Asked by the judge whether this was his decision alone, and whether anyone else had unfairly influenced his decision, Mr Chauvin responded: "No promises or threats, your honour." The man accused of killing George Floyd Watching the Chauvin trial 'was hurtful' 'I stay up at night apologising to George' After prosecutors recalled an earlier witness - Dr Martin Tobin, who disputed the notion that Mr Floyd died of carbon monoxide poisoning - the judge adjourned the court until Monday. What happens next? The defence rested on Thursday, setting the stage for closing arguments from each side to happen on Monday. Once the state and Mr Chauvin's defence have presented their closing arguments, the judge will send the jury into sequestration. "Expect that when you report for duty on Monday that it will be followed by sequestration," Judge Peter Cahill told the jury this week. "So pack your bag." While sequestered, the jury will be kept in a private location - typically a hotel - and must rely on their own memories of the lawyer's arguments and witness testimonies to render their verdict. They are given computers that contain all of the video and audio evidence that has been heard in court. A poster outside the courthouse IMAGE COPYRIGHTGETTY IMAGES image captionMetal fencing and razor wire have gone up around the Hennepin County courthouse The jury has been only partially sequestered until now. They are allowed to return home every night but are escorted into the courthouse everyday from a secure location. They are forbidden from reading media reports about the case, and every move they make inside the courthouse is watched by a bailiff. On Monday, Mr Chauvin's lawyer argued that unrest over the shooting of Duante Wright in the nearby suburb of Brooklyn Center just 10 miles (16km) from the courthouse should trigger full sequestration during the final week of arguments. But the judge disagreed, saying "this is a totally different case". What does the jury have to decide? All 12 jurors must agree to Mr Chauvin's guilt in order for him to be convicted. There are three separate charges that they must consider. Second-degree murder - This is the most serious charge. It will require prosecutors to prove that Mr Chauvin was assaulting Mr Floyd when he caused his death. Mr Chauvin could face up to 40 years in jail if convicted on this count. Third-degree murder - To convict on this charge, the jury must be convinced that Mr Chauvin showed a reckless disregard for human life. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 25 years. Second-degree manslaughter - For the final charge, prosecutors will try to demonstrate that Mr Chauvin took an "unreasonable risk" when he restrained Mr Floyd, putting him at risk of death or serious harm. With the manslaughter charge, prosecutors do not need prove he actually caused Mr Floyd's death. Someone found guilty of this charge may be sentenced to up to 10 years in jail. It's unknown how long jury deliberation may last. Experts say it could be brief - as little as one hour - or it could take weeks. Judge Cahill has said that if verdict comes late in the day, the result will be announced the following morning. What do we know about the jury? Fourteen jurors have sat in the courtroom over the past three weeks. They are never shown on camera and must remain anonymous for their own safety and privacy. Selecting them was no easy feat due to the high-profile nature of the case. Over 11 days of jury summons, lawyers for both sides settled on a panel that skews younger, more white and more female. It also includes a black grandmother in her 60s who once lived a few blocks from where Mr Floyd died. Another juror, a white woman in her 50s, worked at a suburban business damaged last summer after Mr Floyd's death. And a black man in his 40s was added to the jury after he agreed that minorities are mistreated by the police, but police departments should not under any circumstances be defunded. At least one of them lives in Brooklyn Center, the suburb that has seen police deploy tear gas after protesters took to the streets following the death of Mr Wright, who was allegedly shot after the officer mistook her gun for her Taser. Rain on Your Parade (PC, Switch [reviewed], Xbox One) Developer: Unbound Creations Publisher: Unbound Creations Released: April 15, 2021 MSRP: $14.99 (also on Xbox Game Pass) Millions of California residents like myself are bracing for what could be a very dry year for our state. Water conservation may have to make a comeback in 2021 as our snowpack is below the yearly average, and I honestly can't remember the last time it rained where I live. While I guess I should be thankful to reside somewhere that's bright and sunny nearly every day of the year, I could sure go for some clouds right about now. Especially a jerk cloud, like the one in Rain on Your Parade. Rain on Your Parade Rain on Your Parade has a simple ask for players: be the jerkiest jerk cloud you can possibly be. Set to the backdrop of a grandfather's bedtime story to his grandson, the game puts players into control of a cloud looking for a mythical land known as Seattle. To get there, he'll travel across a few dozen stages completing challenges and unlocking new abilities. The cloud's principal ability is that of rain. Use it to soak people, to water gardens, to extinguish campfires, and more. There are actually several different liquids players can utilize in their puzzle solving. Soak up some acid and you can corrode vehicles with it. If you find some oil, you can burn this mother to the ground. Depending on the level, you might have to retry the challenge if you run out of liquid. Most stages shouldn't give players too much trouble, however, as the real trying tasks aren't unlocked until you gain access to New Game I have to hand it to the developer for getting just about the most out of the premise as it could. Across 50 stages, players will use the cloud's four abilities -- rain, tornado, snow, and lightning -- to wreak havoc on the people below. And nobody is spared from this cloud's wrath. One level will propose you soak a bunch of children until they run scared across the school, while the next will challenge you to free a little green alien trapped in a quiet mountain town. Several stages here reference pop culture to great effect, such as a level inspired by Silent Hill and another that presents a series of challenges based on the American Office. There's even a separate mini-game modeled after Doom with first-person shooter controls and all. When these levels and themes hit just right, they stand out. Unfortunately, so do those stages that really miss the mark. Later challenges, such as a Plants vs. Zombies tower-defense level and one themed around The Legend of Zelda, were probably good ideas on paper but are long and dull in execution. And while I know it's a challenge to come up with 50 completely different puzzle ideas, I'd wager one or two of these stages were designed around getting attention on social media rather than creating a unique and interesting challenge. Thankfully, those levels are few and far between. Most of my time spent with Rain on Your Parade with filled with absolute joy. It's simply a fun game with genuinely amusing dialog and art direction that is very pleasing to look at. The developers might have overused the screen-blur effect, but each one of these stages is quite lovely and I can tell there was a lot of consideration put into the layout and design of each one. And the costumes you can unlock for this jerk cloud are absolutely adorable. Rain on Your Parade more or less delivers on what it promises. It's a clever and charming game that's bound to put a big, dumb smile on your face each time you ruin some unsuspecting person's day. By far one of the best aspects of Rain On Your Parade though is the fact that it is chock full of references and allusions to a vast array of po[CENSORED]r video games. Every few levels there will be a special one that is almost entirely inspired by another game. There is a Metal Gear Solid level that has you exploring a secret military base to destroy a deadly weapon while avoiding detection. There is also a zombie-themed level that has the little cloud raising a horde of zombies to attack unsuspecting citizens that is loaded with Resident Evil references. There is even a Legend of Zelda style level that almost feels like its own game. Rain On Your Parade is a very interesting and clever puzzle game that manages to keep things fresh and exciting with the huge amount of pop culture references that po[CENSORED]te many of its levels. These references become a major aspect of Rain On Your Parade, and they are really what sold me on the game as a whole. With each of these levels, you will have special objectives to complete that will stretch the limits of what their abilities can really do. This is also combined with the fact that as the game progresses the cloud also earns different skills that give you many different options when it comes to solving puzzles. Rather than just being able to rain on things the cloud picks up the ability to create lightning strikes, snow on things, or even create tornadoes. This is not even to mention that some levels grant you other special abilities like the one that tasks you with dropping meteors on the dinosaurs. Learning how all of these abilities interact with the world and each other makes for a very exciting process. There are no shortage of bizarre little indie games out there for both the PC and Nintendo Switch, and a large portion of these games are hardly worth most player's time or money. When I first saw Unbound Creations' Rain On Your Parade I assumed that it was going to be another title that I would want to play for an afternoon or two and then promptly forget about a week later. My first hour or so with the game didn't do anything to assuage those concerns either. Eventually though Rain On Your Parade began to show its true colors, which revealed itself to be a fairly competent and extremely charming little puzzle game for gamers of all ages and skill levels. Rain On Your Parade puts you right into the shoes of a young and mischievous little cloud who wants nothing more than to constantly ruin the days of all the humans that it comes across. This cloud really just enjoys wrecking everything it possibly can, so it is up to the player to decide the best ways possible to mess things up. On your journey the game takes you to a wide range of different locales like classrooms, wedding venues, farms, military bases, and so many more. Using the different abilities that the cloud has access to, the player will travel to each of these different areas wreaking havoc wherever they go. Time To Ruin Everyone's Day Rain On Your Parade Wedding Level The pure chaos of completely ruining this wedding is far too much fun. Each level in Rain On Your Parade gives you a few challenges to complete that are radically different depending on the specific level. For example, the level that takes place at a farm gives you three main tasks to complete. The first task is to scare away all of the crows on the farm by raining on them, the second is to soak acid up into the cloud and corrode all farm equipment, and the third is to destroy a specific crop. To finish a level the you have to explore the area to see what tools have been provided, and then determine the best way to complete these objectives. It makes for a really fun little puzzle game reminiscent of Untitled Goose Game. There are also special secret objectives in each level that can only be unlock by interacting with the world in different ways. On some levels the secret objective might be to rain on every human that is there, or to destroy specific types of items that po[CENSORED]te the level. Some of the objectives are a little more particular though. One level has you exploring a forest and tucked away in a corner is an older couple watching the sunset from bench. If the you decide to be a monster and rain on this couple you will complete a secret objective. Essentially the goal at all times in Rain On Your Parade is to just make everyone's lives a living hell. ------------------------------- System Requirments ------------------------------- Recommended -------------------------------- Memory: 4 GB Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7100 / nForce 630i CPU: Intel Core i5 750S File Size: 800 MB OS: Win 10 or newer --------------------------------- Minimum --------------------------------- Memory: 2 GB Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7100 / nForce 630i CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo Q6867 File Size: 800 MB OS: Win 10 or newer -------------------------------- Game Trailer :
