  1. A new Cyberpunk 2077 PC mod has been released, improving the quality of various in-game decorations. Created by ‘SOSUINEPSIXUYU’, this modification improves the quality of items such as food, tools, cables, vending machines, forks, spoons, plates, furniture, and trash by improving the level of detail on said items. As expected, this somewhat could affect performance, but this depends on the setup used. Installation of this new mod is a breeze and only requires users to extract the downloaded file(s) in the “Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod” folder. We’ve included some comparison screenshots down below, so judge for yourself whether this mod is worth a try. Those interested can download the Cyberpunk 2077 Improved Decoration LODS mod via Nexusmods. Cyberpunk 2077 was released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One back in December of 2020. The title is also available via Google Stadia. The long-awaited next-gen update for CDPR’s title was released earlier this year. 3. Intel has demoed its Arc A750 Graphics Cards based on the Alchemist GPU architecture within Control at 1440p. Based on the performance numbers, it looks like Intel's GPU is easily ahead of the competition. Intel Arc A750 Graphics Card Beats RTX 3060 & RX 6600 XT In Control 1440p Demo We have seen an Arc feature demo being run on the Intel Arc A750 graphics card just a few days back and now the company is giving us a more detailed performance look within a new title. The last demo we saw was the same card offering over 100 FPS in Death Stranding at 1440P settings but the new demo is in Control at 1440P High Settings with raytracing disabled. The specs for the Intel Arc A750 Limited Edition graphics card include a cut-down ACM-G10 GPU with 448 EUs, 3584 ALUs, and 12 GB of GDDR6 memory running across a 192-bit bus at 16 Gbps, and a TGP around 200W.The graphics card is powered by an 8+6 connector configuration which means a maximum board power of 300W (150W+75W from connectors & 75W power from the PCIe interface). It is likely that the Limited Edition may come in both A770 and A750 variants. It will come with three DisplayPort connectors and a single HDMI connection. Intel has confirmed that the ARC Alchemist graphics card will support the newest DisplayPort 2.0 & HDMI 2.1 interfaces. Both the Intel Arc A750 & A750 graphics cards are expected to launch later this summer with pricing around the $300-$350 US market range. So coming to the performance numbers, the performance was measured at the starting "Welcome To The Oldest House" level and while doing nothing, the card deliver around 67 FPS at max but we have to talk about the more action-oriented sections where the card delivered around 60 FPS on average. We booted up Control ourselves to see what kind of performance Control offers at 1440p on some mainstream cards from Intel's rivals. We used an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 and an AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics card for testing at the same settings and within the same minute or some runtime on the same level however do note that Intel's test bench might be different than the Core i9-12900K and DDR5-6000 setup that we are running. So it should be a few percentile differences but with that said, the results are as follows: As our testing shows, the Intel Arc A750 graphics card is around 15% faster than the GeForce RTX 3060 and around 20% faster than the Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics cards. This pretty much aligns with Intel's own tests which show the Arc A750 up to 14% faster than the RTX 3060. While this is a single game, it shows that Intel's claims for 1st-tier priority games may indeed be true however, we still need to wait and see how Arc performs in other titles. Also considering that Intel has compared it to the RTX 3060, a $329 US (MSRP) graphics card, and they are heavily claiming to beat the competition in 1st-tier titles in performance per dollar, we can expect a pricing close to $299 US for this product Intel has stated that they will share more details such as price, performance, features (XeSS / Raytracing), and availability before the products go on sale so expect more information in the coming weeks. https://wccftech.com/intel-arc-a750-graphics-card-demoed-in-control-at-1440p-high-faster-than-rtx-3060-rx-6600-xt/
  4. Halo Infinite's scope and biome variety was greatly scaled back compared to the original designs, the game's creative head has said. A lot has been said and written about Halo Infinite over the past few years. Microsoft and 343 Industries first showed off the game's campaign during the company's E3 2020 showcase, and following community backlash over the game's visuals, Infinite was delayed. "In many ways, we are in agreement here – we do have work to do to address some of these areas and raise the level of fidelity and overall presentation for the final game", 343 Industries wrote in a blog post back in July of 2020. "The build used to run the campaign demo was work-in-progress from several weeks ago with a variety of graphical elements and game systems still being finished and polished.”343 Industries and Microsoft managed to polish the game's visuals before its release late last year, but as now revealed by Halo veteran and creative lead, Joseph Staten, the team had to significantly scale back the game's biome variety and dome, mainly due to the visual fidelity. “The team went through a lot of iterations on scope and biome variety before I joined,” Staten revealed, speaking to the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (thanks Techradar). “Even after I joined the team, we had to make choices about where to scale back.”The Halo veteran added, "We didn't have time, the time to go after the level of fidelity across as much variety as we wanted to. We made huge strides from the E3 demo to when we shipped the game, but we still had to scale back, make targeted cuts."We didn't end up cutting that much ultimately from the open world but I know that from the original designs there was a pretty significant scaling back of what the team had hoped at one point that they could deliver on." Staten's words only leave us wondering how Halo Infinite would have ended up looking and playing if the game was further delayed. Following the above-mentioned delay, Halo Infinite was released in November of 2021 for Xbox Series X|S and PC. https://wccftech.com/halo-infinites-scope-and-biome-variety-was-scaled-back-significantly-mainly-due-to-fidelity-joseph-staten-has-said/

  8. Samsung Galaxy A04s support page has gone live on Samsung's UK website. The smartphone has appeared on the site with the model number SM-A047F, which is same as its Geekbench listing. The support page does not reveal any other information about the rumoured smartphone. As per a listing on Geekbench, the phone will be powered by the octa-core Exynos 850 SoC. Like its predecessor, the Galaxy A04s is said to be an affordable handset. The alleged CAD renders of the smartphone had earlier leaked, as per a report. The support page for the Samsung Galaxy A04s has gone live on the company's official UK website. It has been listed with the model number SM-A047F. However, the support page for the Galaxy A04s does not reveal any specifications.Recently, the handset was reportedly spotted on the Geekbench Benchmarking website with the same model number. The Geekbench website also indicated that it could be powered by an octa-core Exynos 850 SoC with a base clock speed of 2GHz, coupled with 3GB of RAM. It could run Android 12 out-of-the-box.According to another report, Samsung has started the production of the Galaxy A04s at its Noida-based plant. 9. Bykski has become the first manufacturer to offer water blocks for Intel's Arc graphics cards such as the custom GUNNIR Arc A380 Photon. The new water block is a very premium design that's built for a product that doesn't even require liquid cooling to begin with. Intel Arc A380 Gets Its Very First Water Block From Bykski, Premium Liquid Cooling For A 92W GPU The water block is the I-GNA380-X from Bykski, a renowned Chinese water block manufacturer who have been the first to offer water blocks for various graphics cards soon after their launch. The new water block is designed specifically for the GUNNIR Arc A380 Photon graphics card which utilizes a custom PCB design. We have seen the ASRock Arc A380 Challenger graphics card too which uses a different PCB layout so this water block may not be compatible with other Arc A380 graphics cards. As for the specifications of the Bykski I-GNA380-X water block, we are looking at a mix of aluminum and pure-copper block with a clear acrylic finish. The block integrates 0.5mm micro-channels made up of several fins that dissipate heat off the GPU. As for the treads, the water block comes with G1/4" support. The heat transfer diagram shows that the water block covers the majority of the components on the PCB such as GPU, VRAM, and VRMs. The water block itself measures 165x128 mm and comes backed with a three years warranty. The Bykski I-GNA380-X water block for GUNNIR's Intel Arc A380 Photon graphics card comes with a very nice design and supports all the major RGB-sync technologies from board manufacturers. The product is also shipped with a nice matte-black backplate. The official Bykski store at JD.com has listed the I-GNA380-X water block for a price of 688 RMB or $100 US. Considering that the GUNNIR Arc A380 Photon costs 1299 RMB or $190 US, that's almost half the cost of the GPU itself. Plus, a graphics card like the Intel Arc A380 is better off with its own air-cooled solution since it has a TBP of 75W (reference) and a max TBP spec of 92W for the custom design. https://wccftech.com/bykski-first-to-launch-water-block-for-intels-arc-graphics-cards-supports-gunnir-arc-a380-but-why/
  10. 2022 is set to be a big year for Call of Duty, what with the release of CoD: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0, but what about 2023? It’s widely expected there won’t be a new core Call of Duty released in 2023, but it would be extremely unlikely for Activision to truly give their golden goose a rest next year. We’ve heard whispers a free-to-play title from Treyarch and/or a standalone Zombies experience may be coming next year (of course, those two rumors may refer to the same thing) but nothing has been confirmed by Activision. Until now, all they’ve said is they have a “slate of slate of premium and free-to-play Call of Duty experiences for [2022], next year, and beyond.” Needless to say, that statement is open to a lot of interpretation. Well, today as part of their Q2 2022 earnings report, Activision clarified their plans for the future somewhat. Not only did they re-confirm Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 for 2022, but they made clear that there is some sort of “premium” CoD content coming in 2023. Activision uses the “premium” label to refer to paid PC and console games/content – free-to-play and mobile titles do not fall under that umbrella. "The fourth quarter [of 2022] will usher in a new era for the Call of Duty franchise. Anticipation is high for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, planned for release on console and PC. The sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare, the most successful Call of Duty title to date, will lead the most ambitious rollout yet across the franchise. An all-new Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 experience, tightly integrated with the premium game, will launch as an extension of the Modern Warfare universe later this year. Activision’s expanded studios also continue to make strong progress on an innovative mobile experience that will extend Warzone to the largest and fastest growing platform. Across the Call of Duty ecosystem, the teams are well positioned to support these launches with substantial live operations, while also continuing development of new premium content planned for 2023 and beyond." So, what might this premium 2023 content be? Could Activision be talking about the rumored standalone Zombies game? That would seem to clash with the rumor Treyarch is doing something free-to-play, but perhaps things have changed. There’s also the possibility that Activision is working on another remaster or remake, or perhaps something completely different we haven’t heard about.Activision Blizzard has faced a series of lawsuits and other legal action on the heels of a suit filed by California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) alleging widespread gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment at the Call of Duty publisher. You can get more details on that unfolding story here. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launches on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5 on October 28. CoD Warzone 2.0 will arrive sometime later in the year. What do you expect/hope Activision will deliver next year? https://wccftech.com/call-of-duty-premium-paid-content-2023/
  11. Samsung is gearing up to host the Galaxy Unpacked launch event on August 10. The South Korean tech giant is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable smartphones at this upcoming event. Numerous rumours surrounding the specifications and design of these handsets have surfaced while Samsung continues to keep the information under wraps for now. However, it appears that Samsung has let slip the colour and storage options of the Galaxy Z Flip 4. The various colour options and storage configuration choices were initially spotted by Reddit users u/AlexQuakeZ (via 9to5Google) on the Samsung Care+ insurance. We were also able to confirm the existence of these listings. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is listed to offer 128GB and 256GB onboard storage options. Recent rumours had suggested that this foldable Samsung smartphone might also have a 512GB storage variant. But, this option is not listed on the insurance site yet. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is listed to come in Blue, Bora Purple, Graphite, and Pink Gold. These options were also depicted in the recently leaked design renders of the handset. The frame colour options, possibly for the Bespoke Edition variant, are also mentioned — Black, Silver, and Gold. Samsung will seemingly offer Green, Navy, Red, Yellow, and White colours for this variant which brings the total number of combinations to over 70.A recent report suggested that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 might offer over 1,000 colour combinations. However, this appears to be not the case now. To recall, Samsung had unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip 3 Bespoke Edition last year in October. This variant allows Samsung customers to manually select the colours for the frame, and top and bottom panels from available options. The Galaxy Unpacked event will be held on August 10 at 9am ET/ 6:30pm IST. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 along with the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro at the event. https://gadgets360.com/mobiles/news/samsung-glaxy-z-flip-4-bespoke-edition-colour-storage-3208895

Q2 2022 Earnings Context Intel and the rest of the semiconductor stocks are currently in focus as the US Senate's version of the CHIPS Bill has now been approved by the US Congress. The House passed the $280 billion CHIPS+ Bill in a 243-to-187 vote, with strong bipartisan support. As a refresher, the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors for America (CHIPS) Act aims to unlock around $52 billion in federal investments for the domestic semiconductor research, design, and manufacturing provisions as laid out in the US Innovation and Competition Act (USICA). The CHIPS+ bill also includes around $100 billion in authorizations over a five-year period for programs such as expanding the National Science Foundation’s work and establishing regional technology hubs to support start-ups in peripheral areas of the country. Bear in mind that Intel had refused to move forward on its $20 billion US fab initiative until the passage of this legislation. PC demand has waned recently, prompting a cautious tone from Intel's executives and a slew of downgrades from analysts. Intel is also reportedly cutting the prices of its Alder Lake CPUs as orders for H2 remain weak, and AMD's Ryzen chips maintain their lead. https://wccftech.com/intel-q2-2022-earnings-are-a-disaster-as-revenue-and-eps-miss-by-double-digit-percent/
