Halo Infinite’s content continues to slowly pump out updates, fixing various problems and adding new content. Currently, we’re in the middle of Season 2, Lone Wolves, which has its own unique battle pass with cosmetics and rewards. Today though, a rather interesting development surfaced on Twitter. Originally, Twitter user @leaks_infiite revealed that Halo Infinite would be getting battle royale modes, similar to the likes of Fortnite or the recently-released Rumbleverse. Fast forward to earlier this morning, and there’s another update about the reportedly-leaked Battle Royale mode. You can view the tweet about today’s update here. So, not only does it appear in the game’s UI, but it also has its own description, reading “Welcome to the Ring. Emerge victorious by being the last player standing.” In reality, that’s all we’ll have to go off of, and such a substantial update to the game would probably come in a Season patch (i.e., an update after Season 2 ends).Otherwise, there isn’t anything concise about it. Whether the game mode has a unique draw also wasn’t confirmed nor clarified, but it probably will. Something else interesting is that there’s a pool for trios and a pool for a full squad of four, outside of just free-for-all. None of this content is in the game yet, obviously. Halohub, on its own accord, has its own set of screenshots that further support the claims above. These screenshots were released earlier this year. You can see them below:Currently, the game’s Season 2 is underway and will end on November 8th, 2022. The game allows you to finish the first Battle Pass, as well, assuming you’ve purchased it before the season ended. We’ll continue to update as more updates about the currently-unreleased Battle Royale game mode are released, or leaked. Halo Infinite’s multiplayer is free to download on Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via the Windows 10 Store and Steam. The game’s campaign is also purchasable on these platforms. https://wccftech.com/halo-infinite-battle-royale-modes-appear-in-game-screenshots-br-might-become-public-in-the-near-future/

Intel's Raptor Lake flagship, the Core i9-13900K, is going to feature a new "Extreme Performance" mode on high-end Z790 motherboards. The new performance mode would essentially allow the chip to run at an unchained power setting, sipping over 300 Watts of power to deliver its fullest potential. Intel Core i9-13900K Raptor Lake CPU To Feature "Extreme Performance" Mode, An Unchained 350W Power Limit Setting Available on High-End Z790 Motherboards The Intel Core i9-13900K is the flagship Raptor Lake CPU, featuring 24 cores and 32 threads in an 8 P-Core and 16 E-Core configuration. The CPU is configured at a base clock of 3.0 GHz, a single-core boost clock of 5.8 GHz (1-2) cores, and an all-core boost clock of 5.5 GHz (all 8 P-Cores). The CPU features 68 MB of combined cache and a 125W PL1 rating that goes up to 250W. However, to get the best performance, Intel has a new performance mode coming to town.As ProHardver explains, the Intel Core i9-13900K CPUs or the Raptor Lake Core i9 "K" series in general, are going to get a new profile known as "Extreme Performance". This is also known as "Unlimited Power" setting on certain motherboards. What this profile essentially does is unlock Raptor Lake's power limit and let it reach up to a power-gobbling 350 Watts at stock loads. The higher power results in higher performance but at the cost of the aforementioned power budget and thermals. This "Extreme Performance" mode will be amongst the several overclocking and tuning options coming to the Raptor Lake "K-series" CPU lineup. An interesting thing that the site states is that high-end Z790 motherboards will be required and only a certain will be qualified to support the feature. It is evident that a 350W power design will require a lot of cooling, not just for the CPU but also for the motherboard VRMs. Also, whether this feature remains exclusive to Z790 boards or also comes to Z690 is something only time will tell. The high-end Z690 boards are capable enough so some vendors may release the BIOS with "Extreme Performance" mode for current-gen boards too. We have already seen overclocks of over 6 GHz pushing the power consumption to 350W and this profile is going to do the same thing. Overclockers will definitely be setting their boards to run at the "Extreme Performance" mode for best overclocking results while users can stick with the standard power profile and still get decent performance out of the chip. It is mostly a matter of preference here since a 350W power draws on the CPU alone isn't sustainable for the gamer's room considering the heat that this beast would output. Even using a high-end cooling solution, one shouldn't expect temps lower than 70-80C while running at full load. The Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake Desktop CPUs including the flagship Core i9-13900K is expected to launch in October on the Z790 platform. The CPUs will be going up against AMD's Ryzen 7000 CPU lineup which also launches in Fall 2022. https://wccftech.com/intel-core-i9-13900k-cpu-extreme-performance-mode-350w-power-z790-motherboards/

The upcoming Crisis Core remake, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, has just been rated by the Australian rating board. The remake received an advisory rating yesterday, and like the original 2007 PlayStation Portable game, it has been rated “M” with “moderate violence”. In addition, the classification mentions a mild impact for themes and a very mild impact for language. In general, upcoming games receive a rating close to release, but this is a broad concept. To date, apart from a release later this year, Square Enix hasn’t announced an actual release date for the game. OnePlus is reportedly gearing up to launch its first foldable smartphone sometime soon. In a new update, OnePlus co-founder Pete Lau shared pictures of a hinge on Twitter on Friday to offer hints about the development of a foldable smartphone without confirming the name and other details. Samsung currently has an early lead in the foldable smartphone category. Xiaomi recently introduced Xiaomi Mix Fold 2. Moto Razr 2022 has also arrived in China. OnePlus's sister firm Oppo also marked its presence in the foldable smartphone market by unveiling the Find N foldable at the end of last year. Pete Lau on Twitter posted pictures with the tagline "What do you think this is?". This could be possibly the folding screen hinge mechanism of the upcoming OnePlus phone. Although the company has not confirmed anything, it is largely speculated that the OnePlus Fold may break cover soon. It is rumoured to come with Android 13.OnePlus hasn't yet revealed any details about the foldable so far. But it could offer some similarities to Oppo's Find N which was launched in December 2021. The Oppo Find N sports a 7.1-inch inward folding display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 5.49-inch cover OLED display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. For optics, the Oppo Find N has a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and a 13-megapixel telephoto lens. A 32-megapixel camera on the outer screen, a 32-megapixel camera on the inner screen, 4,500mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC wired charging support are the other key highlights of the phone. Samsung currently dominates the foldable smartphone market as per a report by Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC). The company recently unveiled its latest foldable smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 . Huawei, Motorola and Xiaomi are also introducing new foldable models. Huawei with its Mate X and Mate X2 foldable smartphones marked its presence in the space, while the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 and Moto Razr 2022 debuted in China recently. https://gadgets360.com/mobiles/news/oneplus-pete-lau-hinge-foldable-smartphone-tease-twitter-3251689

The fishy codenames of AMD's upcoming RDNA 3 graphics lineup powering the Navi 3x GPUs for Radeon RX 7000 & Ryzen 7000 have been revealed. AMD continues the aquatic fish codename trend with the next-gen RDNA 3 powered Navi 3x GPUs for Radeon RX 7000 & Ryzen 7000 Today, we find the remainder monikers for the other RDNA 3 architecture GPUs to be released soon. The new names for the soon-to-be-released graphics cards from AMD are: Plum Bonito (AMD Radeon RX 7900) Wheat Nas (AMD Radeon RX 7800 and 7700) Hotpink Bonefish (AMD Radeon RX 7600) Pink Sardine (AMD Ryzen 7000 and AMD Radeon 700M) These will be used internally by the company to assist in tracing the development process of specific architectures, namely the company's new graphics card products. With the release of the codenames for each model coming out in the following months, it will also be easier for industry insiders, tech websites, enthusiasts, and more to distinguish between the various models released. The codenames AMD uses are not for marketing purposes, as consumers will not see these names printed on boxes of GPUs from the company and partners. Since May, we have known that AMD's flagship GPU, Navi 31, was given the moniker "Plum Bonito," but no one had heard of the company's remaining GPU names. Navi 32 will carry the nickname "Wheat Nas," while Navi 33 will be named "Hotpink Bonefish." The AMD Ryzen 7000 APU, which initially carried the name "Phoenix," will now be referred to as "Pink Sardine." The new APU will be the successor to Yellow Carp (also known as Rembrandt) and Green Sardine (also known as Cezanne). The website VideoCardz notes that Pink Sardine has the identical PCI Device ID, 0x15E2, to four other codenames — Raven Ridge, Renoir, Van Gogh, and Yellow Carp. The company chooses to differentiate the APUs by PCI revisions instead of creating additional IDs for every APU released. We have yet to see any other AMD RDNA 3 architecture-based graphics cards mentioned, especially for the company's future console chips. However, as it is still relatively early in the release of the upcoming lines, it may be a few months before we find out more information from AMD. https://wccftech.com/amd-radeon-rx-7000-ryzen-7000-rdna-3-gpu-codenames-detailed-pink-sardine-igpu-plum-bonito-wheat-nas-hotpink-bonefish-dgpus/

Chinese mega publisher NetEase has been making some major inroads into the Japanese development scene in recent months, poaching a number of high-level developers, including much of Sega’s Yakuza development team and Suda51’s Grasshopper Manufacture. Well, it seems they’ve also set their sights on Capcom, as one of that company’s most prolific veteran producers, Hiroyuki Kobayashi, has announced he’s leaving the Resident Evil publisher to join NetEase. “Today, August 12th, is my 50th birthday. As such, I would like to share something special with everyone:After serving 27 years with gratitude, I have departed from Capcom on March 31, 2022, and will be officially joining NetEase Games as a producer. Detailed plans will be shared later, so please stay tuned. I will strive to continuously create more enjoyable entertainment experiences for everyone at this new company, in this new era. Thank you for the continued support.” For those unfamiliar, Hiroyuki Kobayashi has worked on a majority of games in the Resident Evil series, starting as designer on the earliest titles, before moving onto a producing role. He was also one of the key creative minds behind the Dino Crisis series and has produced entries in the Devil May Cry, Dragon’s Dogma, and Sengoku Basara franchises. In recent years, he’s changed his focus somewhat, primarily overseeing the various Resident Evil CGI movies. Needless to say, Kobayashi’s absence will likely be felt at Capcom and it will be interesting to see what he might come up with at NetEase. As of now, we don’t know what team Kobayashi may be joining at NetEase, or if he’ll be starting a new one of his own. What kind of games do you hope Kobayashi makes in the future? Will NetEase’s recent talent acquisitions result in some great games or just the squandering of talented creators’ time and effort? https://wccftech.com/resident-evil-producer-hiroyuki-kobayahi-leaves-capcom-joins-netflix/

Shipment revisions for AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA have occurred due to revenue projections for the remainder of the year. Analysts are estimating decreases in revenue for Intel and NVIDIA, reports DigiTimes. And, thanks to the recent decline in cryptocurrency, GPU shipments are also expected to decline as high as fifty percent. NVIDIA and Intel are in danger of loss of critical sales of PC CPU & GPU components, while AMD and Apple anticipate a slight increment Intel expects a decrease of between $8 and $11 billion in income and has dropped its income objective to $65 - $68 billion. The organization gauges a ten percent drop in PC revenue (contrasted with 2021). The COVID pandemic falsely helped interest in PC sales and components in 2021.NVIDIA expects a lack of true success in sales because of the post-pandemic drop and the significant digital money crash. Taiwanese GPU providers gauge their 2022 shipments will fall close to fifty percent, and sources referred to by DigiTimes say this will make NVIDIA's income fall "at a pace beyond imagination." NVIDIA is declining because of this issue and the significant digital currency crash this year. Accordingly, Taiwanese GPU providers have assessed their 2022 shipments will fall by as high as fifty percent. Sources say this will kill NVIDIA's yearly income, with an expected fall. NVIDIA's starter second quarter income report, delivered recently, showed a fundamentally more negative quarter than anticipated. The decrease in consumer tech is currently influencing interest for less-significant chip part producers making displays, ICs, and boards, and that's only for starters. One such organization, notebook MCU and touchscreen controller producer Elan Microelectronics expects an income drop of thirty percent at the end of the third quarter.Chromebook shipments are expected to take as high as sixty percent volume hits. Lenovo and HP anticipate a sixty percent decrease in shipments for their specific Chromebook models. Windows notebook and PC sales are supposed to drop by up to fifteen percent consistently. Asus, Acer, Dell, and HP are experiencing issues driving higher deals in the gaming and business laptop areas. While different manufacturers battle to keep sales afloat, AMD and Apple have figured out how to evade these broad issues. AMD has seen gigantic development: the organization's second quarter income expanded by seventy percent because of a piece of the market gains taken from Intel in data center processors and embedded CPU development. However, AMD has expanded its assumptions for shipment drops as high as sixteen percent. AMD anticipates that its third-quarter incomes should increment, but only mildly.Apple recently witnessed a record-breaking 28 million units sold in 2022.As indicated by a DigiTimes report, AMD's development is basically because of Intel losing its general piece of the pie. Intel rules practically eighty percent of the market. However, it lost a lot of requests from Apple when the last option turned into its CPU provider (with the M1 and M2 ARM chips). AMD's fast extension in the server farm and its income stream from the Xilinx merger will add to Intel's difficulties. https://wccftech.com/amd-nvidia-gpu-sales-continue-to-decline-reports-estimates-shipments-drop-by-50/

Rainbow Six Extraction hasn’t offered the same seasonal update plan as many other multiplayer Ubisoft titles, but it does periodically serve up “Crisis Events,” which add permanent new content to the game. The latest of these Crisis Events, entitled “Eclipse” takes place on a darkened version of the Truth or Consequences and adds Echo to the game’s lineup of operators, alongside the new Neoplasm enemy and Aura Grenade tech. You can check out a teaser trailer for the Eclipse event, below. Need to know more? Here’s the full rundown on the Rainbow Six Extraction Eclipse event…“As Operators dive deeper into the Truth or Consequences map, they will encounter the source of the darkness: the Neoplasm, a threat which sends out pulses that detect movement within a radius. In each sub-zone, players must weaken the Neoplasm with a stealthy takedown. If movement is detected, the Neoplasm will flee to the next sub-zone, making the next encounter increasingly difficult. To progress from sub-zone to sub-zone, players will have to restore power to a generator while facing an onslaught of Archæans. The crisis climaxes in the third sub-zone, where players must eliminate the Neoplasm for good and make it to the extraction point safely.Alongside Eclipse – Rainbow Six Operator Echo joins the REACT Team today. Known for his efficiency in gathering intel, Echo will be a valuable addition to the Rainbow Six Extraction roster both in Eclipse and the main game. Echo’s Yokai drone transmits a video feed to him and can fire ultrasonic bursts that disorients all targets it hits. A new piece of REACT tech, the Aura Grenade, is also available for players to unlock. The Aura Grenade can be unlocked by completing the quest, ‘Stealth Kill 50 Archæans,’ and can be completed in any game mode. This new piece of REACT tech can lure Archæans and be remotely detonated to obliterate or stun enemies. It can also self-detonate after a set amount of time.” Overall, players can discover the following content as they delve into the Eclipse event: The New Aura Grenade REACT Tech The New Operator Echo New cosmetic items The New Neoplasm enemy Themed Charms for players to keep Extra XP towards Milestone Progression Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction can be played on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Stadia, and Luna. The Eclipse event is available to jump into now and will continue until September 1, although the new operator and other content will remain in the game. Interestingly, it seems Ubisoft Montreal will continue to support the game, as the press release for Eclipse promises there’s more content to come in the future. https://wccftech.com/rainbow-six-extraction-eclipse-event/

The first picture of AMD's Ryzen 7000 "Zen 4" Desktop CPU packaging has been leaked along with alleged prices for three SKUs by Videocardz. AMD Ryzen 7000 "Zen 4" Desktop CPU Packaging Shows New Theme Design, Alleged Prices Revealed The AMD Ryzen 7000 "Zen 4" Desktop CPU lineup is going to be initially aimed at the premium segment and as such, the red team has designed a brand new box package. These box packages also mark the introduction of the brand new AM5 platform. From what we can see, the Zen circle now comes with a black color scheme, ditching the orange color on the current packages. The box also comes with an AMD logo on the front, outlined by orange lines. This specific box package is for the higher-end Ryzen 9 series so we may see a different design for the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 SKUs.In addition to the box package, the source has also mentioned the expected prices for AMD Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPUs. Prices are always something to take with a grain of salt considering they can be changed at the very last minute so unless AMD announces themselves, we can only tag these as a rumor. AMD Ryzen 9 7000 Series More Expensive Than Ryzen 9 5000, Ryzen 7 & Ryzen 5 Cheaper? Regardless, the prices mentioned seem to line up with previous rumors with the Ryzen 9 7950X and Ryzen 9 7900X retailing above the $500 US pricing like their predecessors but also costing higher than their predecessors. The price increase is expected to be a modest one compared to the $799 US (5950X) and $549 US (5900X) so we might be looking at a $30-$50 US price hike which might be due to the higher cost of TSMC's 5nm wafers. The good news is that the Ryzen 7 7700X with its 8 Zen 4 cores is expected to cost $299 US which means that the Ryzen 5 7600X may end up priced close to or even lower than $249 US. The current-generation Ryzen 7 5800X was priced at $449 US and it was the only 8-core option in the Zen 3 line-up until AMD felt the heat from Intel's 12th Gen Alder Lake CPU and had to launch a price-tuned Ryzen 7 5700X SKU for $299 US. So having that option available at the start of Zen 4 is exciting news for mainstream users. This also leaves enough room for AMD to expand its 8-core Zen 4 line with a 3D V-Cache option later this year around the $400-$500 US mark. There is still a mention of a Ryzen 7 7800X SKU and while it may be planned, it doesn't seem to be part of the initial lineup. This is great news for AM5 builders as the extra money that users save can help them get a decent DDR5 kit. We reported a few hours back that DDR5-6000 is going to be the sweet spot for Raphael so that's what most users should get themselves for the best performance/$. The AMD Ryzen 7000 "Zen 4" Desktop CPUs are expected to launch on the 15th of September with a pre-launch announcement planned for the 29th of August where the final prices and specs are going to be disclosed. We already leaked the specs a few days ago so it looks like the main focus should be the performance figures and the value (prices) these chips have to offer. https://wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-7000-zen-4-desktop-cpu-box-packaging-alleged-prices-leak/

Yesterday we learned that ARC Raiders, the new F2P co-op shooter from ex-DICE-boss Patrick Söderlund’s new Embark Studios, has been delayed to 2023. The delay announcement was pretty boilerplate, but today, Söderlund provided some more details about Embark’s future plans. Surprisingly, the studio will actually be releasing a completely separate game, a team-based FPS codenamed Project Discovery, before ARC Raiders comes to market. Embark released a brief Project Discovery teaser late last year, which appeared to show a semi-cinematic, Battlefield-esque shooter with some melee combat. Check out the teaser for yourself, below. Here’s a bit more detail on the Project Discovery situation from Söderlund… "As you may be aware, Embark has several projects in development. Beyond ARC Raiders, we’re also working on a team-based first-person shooter, codenamed Project Discovery. We’ve got a number of super talented people with ample fps experience here at Embark, and the development of Project Discovery has progressed faster than we first imagined, especially over the past few months. So much so, that we started facing the prospect of being able to release two games simultaneously. For a young, relatively small studio like ours, releasing two games in short succession would have strained our teams and resources, many of which are shared between the two projects. As such, we decided to let Project Discovery be our studio’s first game to market, pushing ARC Raiders to a 2023 release. It’s a decision that will also allow us to expand and refine the ARC Raiders experience." Interestingly, it seems Embark is also working on a new PvP mode for ARC Raiders, which Söderlund implies will be a major focus for the dev team going forward. Could we see a bit of a shift in focus for ARC Raiders? From co-op to PvP? We shall see. "The world of ARC Raiders is exceptionally compelling and lends to many ways to play. Over the course of this spring, we started to concept and prototype a PvP-focused game mode in the ARC Raiders universe that we’re eager to spend some more time on before the game’s release. This extra time will allow us to do just that." Platforms or a release window for Project Discovery have yet to be revealed, although Söderlund promises more info “very soon.” ARC Raiders is slated to hit PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5 in 2023. https://wccftech.com/project-discovery-team-fps-embark-studios-first-game-before-arc-raiders/

India seeks to restrict Chinese smartphone makers from selling devices cheaper than Rs. 12,000 to kickstart its faltering domestic industry, dealing a blow to brands including Xiaomi. The move is aimed at pushing Chinese giants out of the lower segment of the world's second-biggest mobile market, according to people familiar with the matter. It coincides with mounting concern about high-volume brands like Realme and Transsion undercutting local manufacturers, they said, asking not to be identified discussing a sensitive matter.Exclusion from India's entry-level market would hurt Xiaomi and its peers, which in recent years have increasingly relied on India to drive growth while their home market endures a series of Covid-19 lockdowns that crippled consumption. Smartphones under Rs. 12,000 contributed to a third of India's sales volume for the quarter through June 2022, with Chinese companies accounting for up to 80 percent of those shipments, according to market tracker Counterpoint Xiaomi's shares extended losses in the final minutes of trading in Hong Kong on Monday. It slid 3.6 percent, extending its decline this year to more than 35 percent. It's unclear whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government will announce any policies or use informal channels to convey its preference to Chinese companies, the people said.New Delhi has already subjected Chinese firms operating in the country, such as Xiaomi, and rivals Oppo and Vivo, to close scrutiny of their finances, which has led to tax demands and money laundering allegations. The government has previously employed unofficial means to ban Huawei and ZTE telecom equipment. While there's no official policy prohibiting Chinese networking gear, wireless carriers are encouraged to purchase alternatives. The move shouldn't affect Apple or Samsung, which price their phones higher. Representatives from Xiaomi, Realme, and Transsion didn't respond to requests for comment. Spokespeople from India's technology ministry also didn't respond to Bloomberg News inquiries.India amped up pressure on Chinese firms in the summer of 2020 after more than a dozen Indian soldiers died following a clash between the two nuclear-armed neighbours on a disputed Himalayan border. It has since banned more than 300 apps, including Tencent's WeChat and ByteDance's TikTok, as relations between the two countries fray.Homegrown companies such as Lava and Micromax comprised just under half of India's smartphone sales before new entrants from the neighbouring country disrupted the market with cheap and feature-rich devices. Chinese smartphone players now sell the vast majority of devices in India, but their market dominance has not been “on the basis of free and fair competition,” India's junior tech minister told the Business Standard newspaper last week. Recurring annual losses posted by most Chinese handset makers in India, despite their leading position, add to criticism of unfair competition. In private, the government continues to ask Chinese executives to build local supply chains, distribution networks and export from India, suggesting New Delhi still very much wants their investment, the people said. https://gadgets360.com/mobiles/news/oppo-vivo-xiaomi-government-india-high-volume-affordable-phone-market-3236214

ASRock's newly launched Intel Arc A380 Challenger ITX graphics card has been benchmarked in several games and 3DMark benchmarks. ASRock Gives A Spin To Its Intel Arc A380 Graphics Card In Various Games & 3DMark Benchmarks Launched last week, the ASRock Intel Arc A380 graphics card is a small form factor solution for the ITX segment. The GPU is based on the Alchemist ACM-G11 SKU, featuring 8 Xe-Cores or 1024 ALUs. The card comes rated with a 500W PSU requirement and features a single HDMI 2.0b and three DisplayPort 2.0 (w/ DSC) ports. There's 6 GB of GDDR6 memory which is the highest we have seen on this gen's entry-level cards and since the whole thing is designed around the ITX form factor, it measures 190 x 124 x 39 mm. ASRock Intel Arc A380 Challenger ITX Graphics Card Gallery (Image Credits: ASRock Weibo): ASRock decided to test the card itself and we can see that while the card features an official clock speed of 2250 MHz, the GPU was actually running at 2450 MHz. Within the Furmark stress test, the chip produced a maximum temperature of 78C which is decent considering this is a conservative cooler with a singular fan and a small heatsink underneath its shroud. The ASRock Intel Arc A380 Challenger ITX graphics card was tested in various games and 3DMark benchmarks. You can see the results below but what is surprising is that the card actually delivered lower performance than the GUNNIR Intel Arc A380 Photon which features the same 2.45 GHz GPU clock speed and a TDP of 92W which is fed through an 8-pin connector. The ASRock variant also has a single 8-pin connector but we don't know the actual TDP of the graphics card as it wasn't revealed by the manufacturer. In 3DMark Time Spy, the graphics card scores 4426 points whereas the GUNNIR model with the same clock speed scores over 5000 points so it looks like there is some power or clock frequency disparity that isn't visible going on in the background since we can't make of any other thing that would affect the performance so much. Even the driver used is the latest one that reviewers had been using to test the GUNNIR model. Pro applications being a strong suite of Arc GPUs show that the card is able to outperform the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 by 23% in the Puget Systems Photo-Shop benchmark. ASRock Intel Arc A380 Challenger ITX 3DMark Benchmarks: Gaming numbers are also provided in various titles which show the Arc A380 delivering over 60 & 100 FPS in most eSports titles at 1080P. Running actual AAA titles results in lower performance at around 50-60 FPS at 1080p which is still playable enough for most budget-tier gamers. The card is currently priced at 1299 RMB which doesn't help its case considering the GUNNIR Intel Arc A380 Photon can be bought for the same price and delivers better cooling and also offers better graphics performance. https://wccftech.com/asrock-intel-arc-a380-challenger-itx-graphics-card-benchmarked-in-games-3dmark/

Gore Magala is a returning beast from Monster Hunter 4. This monster is fast and aggressive; many hunters fear it because it carries the unique yet powerful Frenzy virus. Gore Magala also uses its long wings to enhance its senses and land strong attacks. However, once you defeat or capture it, you will get significant drops to improve your equipment further.Let’s see how to beat Gore Magala in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, its weaknesses, unique characteristics, and tips for winning the fight. Gore Magala: Characteristics Gore Magala is an unknown type of monster with a threat level of 7 stars out of 10. It can be found in the Shrine Ruins, the Flooded Forest, the Citadel, and the Jungle. It does not have any visual receptor, so it heavily relies on its senses to move and attack. When its senses reach their peak, the beast becomes frenzied and can inflict you with the Frenzy virus. You will notice that the beast has entered the frenzied status because it will expose its horns on the head. Be as careful as possible, as it will also deal more damage and become more aggressive. You need to repeatedly hit its head to stop it and bring it back to its normal status. Be aware that if you want to obtain unique drops from its horns, you need to focus on breaking them while the monster is frenzied, as you won’t be able to do that when Gore Magala is quieter. Gore Magala: Weaknesses Gore Magala is weak to Fire, followed by Thunder. If you want a higher chance of winning the fight, equip yourself with a weapon that either deals Fire or Blast damage. Slashing weapons are the preferred option for this battle, as they will deal more damage to each part of its body, followed by blunt ones. Avoid, if possible, projectile weapons for this battle, as they are not as effective as the others against Gore Magala. Make sure you focus on hitting the monster’s head while fighting and don’t forget about the horns when the beast is in its frenzied status. Its forelegs are also quite vulnerable to attacks and are easy to reach. How to Beat Gore Magala You need to pay close attention to Gore Magala’s attacks when the monster is frenzied. Otherwise, you will get infected by the Frenzy virus and lose all your natural healing abilities, meaning that you won’t be able to heal yourself without the aid of a healing item and will also get more damage from the beast. Once you get caught, you will see a new gauge next to your name, which will fill over time. You can prolong the incubation period by eating a Nulberry and overcome the Frenzy virus by attacking the monster as much as possible. This way, you will get a temporary affinity boost and become immune to the infection for a short time, usually some minutes. The monster also uses its tail quite often to attack you, and you can evade it by rolling sideways. However, this attack is quite fast, so make sure you move as quickly as possible to prevent it from hitting you. You will also see many purple projectiles coming from its mouth: they are the ones that deal with the infamous Frenzy virus. You will probably get hit by them, but you can try using your Wirebugs to avoid them. You should try to mount any monsters nearby and attack Gore Magala with the Mounted Punisher so that you can deal massive damage to the beast. This fight against Gore Magala will reward you with great drops once you beat or defeat it, and you will be able to use them for new armor and weapons. If you need some tips on beating Astalos and Magma Almudron as well, you can find them in our dedicated Sunbreak guides. https://wccftech.com/how-to/monster-hunter-rise-sunbreak-how-to-beat-gore-magala/

The wait for the One UI 5.0 beta is finally coming to an end as Samsung has decided to launch the One UI 5.0 beta for the Galaxy S22 devices. Sure, the beta is a bit late than what we had expected, but it is safe to say that users will be more than pleased to get the taste of the new Android version on their smartphones. The One UI 5.0 beta is running on top of Android 13 and the new update does bring a lot of new features while the cosmetic changes are not a lot, they were not supposed to be, to begin with Simply put, with Android 13, Google focused on keeping things focused on security rather than going for another cosmetic overhaul. The update is currently rolling out to users in Germany. Galaxy S22 Users in Germany Can Finally Enroll in Android-13 Based One UI 5.0 Beta Program Samsung has still not detailed everything that is coming with the One UI 5.0 but there is a chance that the Galaxy Unpacked will have a lot of information on the new update. A formal announcement about the beta program should also arrive later this week. The One UI 5.0 beta does bring a number of changes like the notification center now has bigger app icons as well as increased background opacity. The app permission pop-up has also been changed. You are also getting optical character recognition across the board. The speed and smoothness of the animations have also improved significantly. Intel has confirmed that they will be bringing improved DX11 & Legacy API gaming performance to Arc GPUs in a recent video. The company admits that they are aware of the unsatisfactory gaming performance in titles utilizing DirectX 11 & are working to improve the experience moving forward. Intel Admits Lagging Behind In Older APIs But Promises To Improve DX11 Gaming Performance As Time Goes By Initially reported in a review by LinusTechTips, the tech outlet witnessed a 50% GPU performance difference between DirectX 11 and 12 versions when benchmarking Shadow of the Tomb Raider on a system utilizing the Arc A770 graphics card. In the former DirectX version, the game reached near 38 FPS, while the latter saw a boost of around 80 FPS.DirectX 11 and older APIs function differently than the updated DirectX 12, Vulkan, and other current APIs. Older API technology requires most of the processing from the graphics driver, from enhancements to customizations made for lower-performing cards. The need for the GPU to handle more of the game work was to alleviate some of the burdens from game developers looking to optimize the look of their games. With Vulkan and the current DX12 API, the boost no longer depends on the graphics driver but on the game's graphic engine. Now, game developers are required to handle the responsibility of graphics optimizations, especially in weaker systems, and place tasks within the code of the game to take this burden. An example of this is video memory allocation.Intel has not had to concern themselves with graphical APIs because they were not developing GPUs for many years. Now, with the company's Arc series graphics, they have to catch up to companies focusing on this type of technology for years, namely the company's rivals AMD and NVIDIA. This insight into the company's ignorance of DirectX 11 and older APIs has led Intel to admit that it will take quite some time to understand and find solutions for problems plaguing their current iGPUs and dGPUs. Intel fellow Tom Petersen has recently been quoted about the pathway to improving the API for Intel as stating the issue will be a "labor of love forever."Most of these issues stemmed from the reliance on the integrated graphics software stack which houses a very different architecture compared to Arc GPUs. This resulted in inadequate performance levels, game / API compatibility, etc. "Our software release on our discrete graphics was clearly underperforming," said Gelsinger. "We thought that we would be able to leverage the integrated graphics software stack, and it was wholly inadequate for the performance levels, gaming compatibility, etc. that we needed. So we are not hitting our four million unit goal in the discrete graphics space, even as we are now catching up and getting better software releases.""While we will not hit our GPU unit target, we remain on track to deliver over $1 billion in revenue this year,""In Q2, we started to ramp Intel Arc graphics for laptops with OEMs, including Samsung, Lenovo, Acer, HP, and Asus. COVID-related supply chain issues and our own software-readiness challenges caused availability delays that we continue to work to overcome. Intel Arc A5 and A7 desktop cards will start to ship in Q3." Now, Intel will need to make attempts to work on DX11 and older APIs or risk waiting until the industry no longer requires anything less than the current next-gen APIs available. https://wccftech.com/intel-promises-improved-dx11-legacy-api-gaming-performance-on-arc-gpus/

Blazing Strike is a fighting game that’s been relatively under the radar compared to titles like Skullgirls 2nd Encore, Street Fighter 6, and Tekken 7, for instance. The game is being developed by RareBreed Makes Games and published by Aksys Games and was initially set to release in Fall 2022. Essentially, the game got delayed by about six months. However, RareBreed did mention crossplay and added a soft 'maybe' to that which could potentially mean crossplay may be a reality in the future. There’s still a significant chunk of time between now and the game’s new release date, and no changes in platforms were announced either. Blazing Strike serves as a four-button experience with… six attack types: light, medium, and heavy punches and kicks. The title also has various defensive tools such as parries and guarding (not to be confused with blocking). The game also has a Rush Trigger, which enables players to close distance and perform fast and damaging combos, at the cost of entering a brief fatigue state afterward. Powered by GGPO, Blazing Strike will launch with Arcade Mode, Story Mode, and Local VS modes, with training, sparring, and online play. This particular mode will have rollback and will also be available via the Persona AI (whatever that means). We’ll continue to update with more information about Blazing Strike as it’s released, including characters, release information, and platforms. Blazing Strike will release in Spring 2023 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. https://wccftech.com/blazing-strike-delayed-to-spring-2023-to-ensure-the-best-game-experience-possible/

The first retail-ready Intel Core i9-13900K Raptor lake CPU with 24 cores and a boost clock of up to 5.8 GHz has been leaked and benchmarked at Geekbench 5. Intel Core i9-13900K Raptor Lake 24-Core CPU Boosts To An Impressive 5.8 GHz, Beats 64-Core AMD Threadripper 3990X, Over 50% Faster Than Ryzen 9 5950X The Intel Core i9-13900K Raptor Lake CPU sample tested here seems to be a retail chip that features 24 cores and 32 threads in an 8 P-Core and 16 E-Core configuration. The CPU carries a total of 68 MB of cache and we can tell that this is just a better "Retail-Ready" sample based on its clock speed alone. While the chip retains a 3.0 GHz base and 5.5 GHz standard boost, a maximum boost frequency was maintained throughout the benchmark. This Intel Core i9-13900K Raptor Lake CPU was tested on the ASRock Z690 Taichi motherboard with 32 GB of DDR5 memory though we don't know the actual memory speeds but based on this result, they should've been super fast. Coming straight to the performance figures, the Intel Core i9-13900K Raptor Lake CPU at 5.8 GHz offers insane amounts of multi-core CPU performance with up to 47% increase over the 12900K and a 55% uplift versus the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X. The chip even outperforms the Ryzen Threadripper 3990X which offers 64 Zen 2 cores. In single-threaded tests, the chip offers a 14% increase over the 12900K and a massive 30% uplift over the Ryzen 9 5950X. Just yesterday, we exclusively leaked the specifications of AMD's Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPUs which are going to offer up to 5.7 GHz frequencies on the top parts and it looks like Intel just doesn't want to give away its frequency crown yet. Both CPU manufacturers are going to offer some insane (over 5.5 GHz+) clock speeds in the coming generation and that's bound to give us a huge increase in the single-core application suite. The Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake Desktop CPUs including the flagship Core i9-13900K & Core i5-13600K CPUs is expected to launch in October on the Z790 platform. The CPUs will be going up against AMD's Ryzen 7000 CPU lineup which also launches in Fall 2022. https://wccftech.com/intel-core-i9-13900k-retail-raptor-lake-cpu-boosts-up-to-5-8-ghz-at-stock-beats-64-core-threadripper-3990x/
