OnePlus started providing a physical alert slider on its smartphones since the launch of the OnePlus One. Located on the upper left edge of the phone, it allows the user to set sound profile of the phone as silent, vibrate, and ring without unlocking the screen. According to a tipster, this practice will change soon and the company will limit the po[CENSORED]r alert slider to its flagship models. As per the leak, the recently unveiled OnePlus Nord 2T was the last mid-range device to feature an alert slider. From this point, the alert slider will only be offered in the Pro models along with Oppo flagships. The upcoming OnePlus 10T is said to launch without the alert slider. Known tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh), on Twitter, suggested that few OnePlus phones will feature the alert slider from now on. As per the tweet, the OnePlus Nord 2T that debuted in May was the last handset to carry an alert slider and from now on, the feature will be more available in Pro models and some Oppo flagships. Meanwhile, the company's rumoured OnePlus 10T is also tipped to drop the alert slider. A render for the smartphone leaked online also shows the alert slider missing. However, OnePlus is yet to confirm the news, so the reported details should be taken with a pinch of salt. Recently, Yogesh Brar in association with Onsitego leaked the renders and key specifications of the OnePlus 10T. The leaked renders show the handset in black colour without the alert slider. It is shown with a hole-punch display design as well. The OnePlus 10 is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood. It is said to sport a triple rear camera unit headlined by a 50-megapixel main sensor. For selfies, the phone could get a 32-megapixel front camera. It is tipped to sport a 4,800mAh battery as well.

AVX512 support on Intel Alder Lake CPUs was a considerable gamechanger for the company, but not in how the company intended for it to be. The series was released with the option to instruct users to activate the AVX512 option on applicable CPUs to allow for overclocking. Intel AVX-512 Supporting Alder Lake CPUs Feature Older Logo, Non-AVX-512 Chips With New Logo Intel did not intend for users to create workarounds to access the capability to stress the Alder Lake processors, so the company locked the option from users, stressing that anyone accessing the AVX512 process would void their warranty. Now, the company has a way to tell the difference between the intended AVX512 compatible Alder Lake CPUs and locked processors from the company.YouTuber Luumi recently dropped the following video on the platform to show users how to quickly tell the difference in Alder Lake CPUs with the AVX512 support. As shown in the video above, the square logo on several Intel products and the older "halo" logo allow users to tell what CPUs are accessible to the overclocking support quickly. When the company first introduced the processors on the market, several users felt it was only rebranding their processors and not telling users what the logo meant. I wanted to add this information to my Cheap AVX-512 monster video as I couldn’t get AVX-512 to work on either of my previous G7400 CPUs. The rig itself was fine, but actually neither of those G7400 CPUs had AVX-512 support available as it was already disabled by Intel at the factory which is pretty much the case with all newest Alder Lake CPUs.Seems that nearly all 2022 batched Alder Lake CPUs have AVX-512 disabled, so you are better off hunting a 2021 batch CPU. Luckily for us Intel left a mark to determine does the CPU support AVX-512 or not, by looking at the IHS. Every CPU that has a halo/circle marking on top of the word Intel on the IHS will have AVX-512 support, and all rectangle/square ish marking CPUs will have it disabled by Intel. So at least with the Pentiums and other lower end models you can just walk around in a store and look at the processor’s IHS from the small peek window and determine if it has AVX-512 or not. — Luumi Intel and users can now rest easier knowing which processors are accessible to the AVX512 instruction so that users can pick the suitable processor for their needs. Especially since Intel fused the Alder Lake chips, completely locking any AVX512 capability.

A new Assassin's Creed Infinity Unreal Engine 5 concept showcase has been released and it shows us the beauty of Japan. Created by YouTuber 'TeaserPlay', this Unreal Engine 5 concept video shows us what the next entry in the Assassin's Creed series could look like on next-gen hardware, and while this showcase isn't necessarily representative of the upcoming Assassin's Creed Infinity, it does show some impressive visuals, lighting, and a beautiful Japan. For this video, the team created parts of Kamakura-era Japan (1192 - 1333) in Epic's new game engine. The showcase features Unreal Engine 5's new Lumen lighting tech, and the engine's Nanite virtualized geometry system. For the main character in this video, 'TeaserPlay' used the Aguilar model (as also featured in the Assassin's Creed movie Michael Fassbender). You can check out this great-looking showcase down below: After various reports and rumors, Ubisoft officially confirmed the existence of Assassin's Creed Infinity last year, which is said to be still relatively early in development. The next installment in the franchise is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Quebec via a collaborative, cross-studio structure led by franchise veteran Marc-Alexis Côté. Joint production efforts on Assassin’s Creed Infinity will be headed up by Ubisoft Montreal’s Julien Laferrière who has been named senior producer, overseeing production at both studios. Laferrière brings along extensive experience with the franchise, having worked on Assassin’s Creed since 2007 before most recently becoming producer on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Creative leads for Assassin’s Creed Infinity will be a cross-studio collaboration, as well. Jonathan Dumont and Clint Hocking will share leadership as creative directors, overseeing their respective teams at Ubisoft Quebec and Ubisoft Montreal. Dumont was previously world director on Assassin’s Creed Syndicate at Ubisoft Quebec before becoming creative director on Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Meanwhile, this moment marks Hocking’s return to Ubisoft Montreal, having started at the studio in 2001 as a level designer, game designer, and scriptwriter on the original Splinter Cell before becoming creative director on Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Far Cry 2, and most recently Watch Dogs: Legion. https://wccftech.com/assassins-creed-infinite-ue5-concept-japan/?beta=1

Apple's latest operating system—iOS 16—was announced during the company's annual developer conference on Monday. The new operating system brings improvements and multiple options for customisation. With iOS 16, the Cupertino giant is adding more privacy layers to the Hidden and Recently Deleted albums. It mandates users to access these albums by using passcode or biometrics. Similarly, haptic keyboard functionality is coming to the iPhone's keyboard with iOS 16. With this update, iPhone users will feel a slight vibration powered by the Taptic Engine while pressing a key on the virtual keyboard. As per the iOS 16 preview page, the Hidden and Recently Deleted albums will be locked by default on iOS 16. These albums can be unlocked using the iPhone user's Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode. Currently, the access to Hidden and Recently Deleted albums is not limited. Anyone with access to the phone can go through your deleted and hidden photos. The iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura also offer the new feature. Additionally, haptic feedback, which is currently available on third-party keyboards, is finally coming to the iPhone's keyboard. By enabling this, when users press a key on the iPhone's virtual keyboard, they feel a small vibration powered by the smartphone's Taptic Engine. Users can turn on keyboard haptics to feel confirmation while typing. Besides the keyboard haptics and the ability to lock Hidden and Recently Deleted albums, the iOS 16 update brings several new features including an improved lock screen, focus mode, Apple Pay Later, parental controls, health features, and more. It adds the ability to edit messages and allows iPhone users to schedule emails on the mail app.The software update to iOS 16 will be released later this year on iPhone 8 and later devices. Ahead of the public rollout, both iOS 16 and macOS Ventura beta are currently available to developers. The public beta releases will start next month.

Yesterday, we got to see the first performance benchmarks of Intel's Arc A730M GPU which showed comparable performance to an NVIDIA RTX 3070. However, when it comes to actual gaming results, the performance seems to be barely faster than the RTX 3050. Intel's High-End Arc A730M Can Hardly Catch Up To NVIDIA's RTX 3060 in Games, Gaming Performance Slightly Better Than An RTX 3050 It was known that the Intel Graphics software division has lagged behind severely versus the team that is designing the actual hardware. The hardware team has had GPUs up & running since the previous year but the software team has yet to release a driver that is fully tuned to unlock Arc's true potential. This is noticeable in the latest benchmarks published over at Weibo by the same source who had published the synthetic benchmarks earlier. The synthetic gaming benchmarks showed Intel's Arc A730M sitting close to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070M, outperforming in DirectX 12 and lagging a bit behind in DirectX 11 tests but in gaming, the Arc A730M has troubles even running a few games such as Shadow of The Tomb Raider. The GPU was running at 92W TDP which is within its 80-120W range and with clock speeds up to 2050 MHz. The source published various gaming benchmarks of Intel's Arc A730M GPU in titles that include Assassins Creed: Odyssey, Metro Exodus, & F1 2020. The user also tried to run Shadow of The Tomb Raider but the game won't even open in DirectX 12. It did run in DX11 mode but no GPU benchmarks were provided. In Metro Exodus, the GPU was able to deliver 70 FPS at 1080p and 55 FPS at 1440p using the High Quality preset. The user states that this is close to an RTX 3060 Mobile GPU but the other benchmarks show performance close to or slightly faster than an RTX 3050. Just 38 FPS on average in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, a 4-year-old game, is just disappointing. What makes this worse is the fact that the RTX 3050 Mobile is an entry-level solution while the Arc A730M GPU will be aimed at high-end gaming laptops. We don't really see the 'high-end' action in these benchmarks though. Now it is not known if these gaming benchmarks were run with DTT disabled or enabled which basically limits the TDP spec to improve battery times but besides that, the Intel Arc A730M GPU didn't deliver a playable experience as the user reports choppy gameplay & the aforementioned DirectX 12 issues in certain games. Having DTT enabled can negatively affect GPU performance. Now we know why the high-end lineup has once again been limited to Chinese markets first prior to their global release and the reason is simply that the software is hardly ready. Synthetics don't show the actual gaming performance and there's nothing good to talk about Arc GPUs even in that regard.Intel's Arc A5 and A7 GPUs for the global market are expected to hit retail by Late Summer along with the desktop discrete graphics lineup so we can hope that Intel will have their drivers ready & in a more functional state by then. Intel has confirmed that its next-generation Lancaster Sound GPUs will be succeeding the existing Arctic Sound M Data Center GPU lineup. Intel's Lancaster Sound Data Center GPUs To Feature Next-Gen Xe Architecture, Succeeding Arctic Sound M In 2023+ Originally, the Intel Arctic Sound lineup was expected to feature the Xe-HP GPU SKUs but that plan was dropped, and instead, the blue team resorted to using its Xe-HPG GPUs within the Arctic Sound M lineup. The dropped Arctic Sound GPU series would have showcased three different graphics cards based on a tiled architecture accessing as high as 128 Xe-Cores or 512 Execution Units. Intel never advertised the particular series to the public, and The company made no announcements or dates. Under the codename Lancaster Sound, there is heavy speculation that the company utilizes the architecture for other means. Intel utilized Xe-HPG architecture, seen in gaming graphics, and DG2-based GPUs, which became the Arctic Sound-M family of pictures. Currently, two products are listed, one featuring the ACM-G10 GPU and the other featuring two separate ACM-G11 graphics. Intel promotes the graphics cards as "flexible data center GPUs offering an impressive media streaming ability. Leaker SteakisGood discovered the information above on Twitter. The official video clip from the company shows for a fraction of a second the roadmap for upcoming silicon technologies by Intel. No information has been discovered or promoted by any leakers or the company itself. There is the assumption that either Intel will use the Xe-HPG GPU series for Lancaster Sound or may attempt to create a new architecture. It would be a waste for the company not to reuse the technology in a more recent product, so they may try to save overhead by going with previous architecture. However, if the company did use new tech, it is possible that the Arc Battlemage series, using the Xe2-HPG architecture, could be the replacement. We might hear more about Lancaster Sound as we enter 2023. Yesterday we got our first brief taste of Sonic Frontiers gameplay, but now we have a full seven minutes of footage to check out, courtesy of IGN. This footage focuses on open-world exploration, rather than combat or action, and thus far, the game is looks fairly promising. The world of Sonic Frontiers brings to mind Zelda: Breath of the Wild, or perhaps the Xenoblade Chronicles games, with plenty of large structures to climb and even puzzles to solve. That said, this is still a Sonic game, as the blue hedgehog moves around at a nice clip (to the point it causes a bit of pop-in) and tons of classic elements – springboards, rails, balloons, ect. – are still scattered around the world. Perhaps most importantly, it looks like Sonic Team have finally got the basics of 3D game design figured out, as Frontier’s camera behaves as it should, and Sonic looks like he’s fairly easy to control. But hey, don’t take my word for it, check out the footage for yourself, below. Of course, the proof is in the playing, but I like what I’m seeing. As long as combat is good, I think Sonic Team may have figured out this 3D thing at long last. Need to know more? For now, this basic Sonic Frontiers description is all we have… Worlds will collide in Sonic the Hedgehog‘s newest adventure. An experience like never before, accelerate to new heights and experience the thrill of high velocity open-zone freedom. Battle powerful enemies as you speed through the Starfall Islands—landscapes brimming with dense forests, overflowing waterfalls, sizzling deserts and more! Journey into new realms. Sonic Frontiers blasts onto PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Switch during the 2022 holiday season. What do you think? Liking what you’re seeing or is the jury still out? https://wccftech.com/sonic-frontiers-7-minutes-gameplay/

NVIDIA's next-gen gaming lineup including the GeForce RTX 4090, RTX 4080, and RTX 4070 graphics cards are expected to launch in Q3 & Q4 2022, as per the latest rumor from Videocardz. NVIDIA's Next-Gen GeForce RTX 40 Gaming Graphics Card Launch Schedule Revealed: RTX 4090 In August, RTX 4080 In September, RTX 4070 In October Recently, it was revealed by leaker, Kopite7kimi, that NVIDIA was going to launch its GeForce RTX 4090 first followed by GeForce RTX 4080 and RTX 4070. Now more reports are coming in that this schedule might indeed be true. It looks like the GeForce RTX 40 series launch event may indeed be hosted around mid-July as per the previous rumors. Do note that this will just be an announcement while the actual availability for each respective graphics card is planned between Q3 and Q4 2022. The GeForce RTX 4090 will be the first to launch, followed by its siblings, the RTX 4080 and the RTX 4070. If you recall the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series launch, you will remember that the green team also announced the trio of its Ampere cards, the RTX 3090, RTX 3080, and RTX 3070 the same day however, the launches took place a few weeks apart from each other. NVIDIA first launched the GeForce RTX 3080 in the market followed by the RTX 3090 and the RTX 3070. The mainstream RTX 3060 cards came in months later. This time, however, NVIDIA is said to focus on its upper echelon of cards first such as the GeForce RTX 4090. We can the company using a similar launch schedule as the RTX 30 series with each launch being a few weeks apart. So while the cards could be announced as early as July 2022, the RTX 4090 won't be available till August and the GeForce RTX 4080 will slip into September while the RTX 4070 will be available on store shelves by October. The trio of GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards is expected to utilize different Ada Lovelace GPU designs with the RTX 4090 using the top AD102 SKU, the RTX 4080 using the AD103 SKU while the RTX 4070 is expected to feature the AD104 GPU SKU. During its recent earnings call, NVIDIA stated that the demand for graphics cards in the crypto segment has already dried up. The AD102 and the AD103 GPUs are expected to utilize the same PCB, PG139, but the SKU will vary slightly with the RTX 4090 using the PG139-330 SKU and the RTX 4080 using a PG139-360 SKU. The RTX 4070 on the other hand will be based on a completely different board. The company has been trying to reignite interest for its GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards in the gaming segment with various marketing campaigns such as the 'Restocked & Reloaded' one we saw this month. It's likely that this attempt is to ship as many RTX 30 GPU units as possible prior to moving to the new GeForce RTX 40 series lineup. Greymon55 is also expecting that the GeForce RTX 40 series will be available at MSRP and won't have inflated prices like the existing lineup. Today, the official Twitter account apologized for that and said fans can now expect to learn more about the game in late June. Star Ocean: The Divine Force will be the sixth mainline installment in the long-standing Japanese roleplaying game series, once again made by tri-Ace. The game was announced in late October last year to be coming this year to PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S|X. The Pangalactic Federation. From their earliest days in the Sol System, this organization has sought to bring peace and tranquility to the galactic multitudes. As their reach has expanded through the universe, many a hero has served under their banner; saviors to planets in need. But by the year 583 SD, things have changed. The once peaceful Pangalactic Federation is now known for assimilating planets against their will. Once standing for justice, they are now wreathed in darkness. Raymond, captain of the merchant vessel Ydas, departs from the nonfederated planet of Verguld on a standard transport mission. The job is simple, the route familiar, yet things go awry when the Ydas is attacked by the Astoria: a battleship carrying a member of the Pangalactic Federation’s preeminent Kenny family. Raymond and his crewmate Chloe are forced to abandon ship amidst the chaos and head for the remote, underdeveloped planet of Aster IV. Before their escape pods can even land, a burst of energy resembling an EMP from the planet’s surface knocks out their systems and brings them crashing down. They find themselves separated and stranded on an unfamiliar planet. Upon landing, Raymond is immediately attacked by some of the less-than-friendly local wildlife. But when all seems lost, his life is saved by the crown princess of the Kingdom of Aucerius: Laeticia. Marveled by the sudden appearance of this man who rode into her life on a “shooting star,” Laeticia asks Raymond to help save her kingdom from the threat of the neighboring Vey’l Empire. He accepts in exchange for help finding Chloe. So begins their journey on Aster IV. However, Raymond will soon discover he has yet to escape the shadow of the Pangalactic Federation. NVIDIA is rumored to focus on high-end GeForce RTX 40 graphics cards starting with the GeForce RTX 4090 when the new series arrives later this year. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Rumored To Be The First Graphics Card To Launch In RTX 40 Series Lineup, Followed By RTX 4080 & RTX 4070 As per the latest rumor from Kopite7kimi (via Videocardz), it looks like NVIDIA will be focusing on its flagship graphics card, the GeForce RTX 4090 before moving to the RTX 4080 and the RTX 4070 GPU variants. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series is currently rumored to debut in mid-July 2022 which means the actual launch may take place in August 2022 but we don't know if this would be a full-on lineup or a singular graphics card launch. Kopite7kimi states that we will be expecting the GeForce RTX 4090 first, followed by its siblings, the RTX 4080 and the RTX 4070. So while the cards could be announced as early as July 2022, the RTX 4090 won't be available till August and the RTX 4070's launch may even slip into September. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the third mainline installment in Monolith Soft's JRPG series, launching almost five years after the second game. The first hint at Xenoblade Chronicles 3 came in August 2021 from voice actress Jenna Coleman, who voiced the character Melia in the first installment. Monolith Soft finally confirmed the news in early February 2022 during one of the Nintendo Direct presentations. Release date, platforms, editions Nintendo originally said Xenoblade Chronicles 3 would be released in September. However, in late April fans were treated to a happy surprise when the launch date was brought forward to July 29th, in a rare twist for a game. The only official platform is Nintendo Switch, though it is likely PC gamers will also be able to play it via emulators like Yuzu and Ryujinx, which have often delivered day one compatibility for fresh Nintendo Switch releases. Besides the Standard Edition, priced at $59.99, Nintendo is also preparing a Collector's Edition (price unknown) that includes a package artwork from Masatsugu Saito, a full-colour, softcover concept art book with over 250 pages, and a steel case for the game card. The Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collector's Edition will only be available via the My Nintendo Store, though pre-orders are not open yet. If you do end up reserving the Collector's Edition, beware that you will receive the game software on July 29th and the rest of the content (Nintendo Switch SteelBook case, softcover concept art book, and outer box packaging) at a later date, estimated to be at some point in Autumn. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Trailers Nintendo shared an announcement trailer when it first confirmed the game earlier this year. Genre, setting, mechanics Just like its predecessors, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be an open world game featuring action RPG gameplay. Positioning during combat is said to be critical to take advantage of Arts and maximize debuffs and damage. One of the main gameplay differences compared to previous titles will be the much larger party roster. Whereas the first and second Xenoblade Chronicles had a limit of three active characters, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 pushes to envelope to seven active characters. Six of them will be mainstays, while the seventh will rotate with the story's progress. Party members also can have their character class, and therefore abilities, changed if needed. Last but not least, pairs of the six main party members can Interlink into unique giant beings called Ouroboros. Each Ouroboroshas a different moveset. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is set in the world of Aionios, where two nations are constantly at war with each other. The first one is Keves, where regular technology is dominant and the army is mainly composed of combat vehicles operated by soldiers riding them. The other nation is called Agnus and it focuses on ether, described as a magical technology. Needless to say, their combat units are all based on using ether as a weapon. Both sides feature the so-called off-seers, who are soldiers playing special flutes to mourn the passing of the dead. Here's the main cast's official description. Noah : One of the protagonists of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and a soldier of Keves. Noah is also an “off-seer” who mourns for soldiers who’ve lost their lives on the battlefield. Lanz : An ally of Noah’s who wields a great sword that doubles as a shield. Eunie : A childhood friend of Noah and Lanz who has a sharp tongue and rough personality. She specialises in healing her allies in battle. Mio : The other protagonist of this story, Mio is a soldier of Agnus and an off-seer like Noah. Taion: A tactician who fights alongside Mio using his smarts and insight. Sena : This soldier is an ally of Mio and Taion. Despite her petite figure, Sena wields immense physical strength! Other characters seen in the most recent trailer are Riku, Manana, Zeon, and Valdi. Monolith Soft confirmed that all of the characters were designed by Masatsugu Saito, who already worked on Xenoblade Chronicles 2, while key artwork was produced by Koichi Mugitani. The developers also revealed that music in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, Manami Kiyota, ACE (TOMOri Kudo, CHiCO), Kenji Hiramatsu, and Mariam Abounnasr. Its main motif will be a flute-based melody, with the flute playing a key role in the overall theme of the game. https://wccftech.com/roundup/xenoblade-chronicles-3-everything-you-need-to-know-about-monolith-softs-jrpg/
