` NVIDIA launched its flagship AD102-based graphics card, the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, during the decline of pricing on graphics cards during the first quarter of 2022. During this time, we have seen the cryptocurrency market crashing and an overabundance of RTX 30 series graphics cards. Several strained messages from suppliers complaining of overstocks of GPUs have caused pricing to drop well below the MSRP costs of GPUs. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti debuted in March with estimated retail pricing of $2000. That same card is now selling for $1600, $400 less than the MSRP. That is an enormous cost drop for NVIDIA's best and most efficient premium GPU. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Founders Edition graphics card price drops to $1599, a 20% drop compared to MSRP One of NVIDIA's official sales partners is the online retailer Best Buy, selling Founders Edition models in the United States. The retailer apparently dropped the cost to attract attention to the card. While that is somewhat true, this is not considered an official price reduction from NVIDIA. The GPU designer authorized Best Buy to reduce the price through a retailer discount allowed by NVIDIA. The question remains, "How long is this pricing going to stick?" Content Creators Dream GPU The GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is an artists’ dream and tailored for advanced creators, allowing them to edit insanely large models, work on production-quality video, or edit in multiple apps at the same time. Rendering in applications such as Blender, Maya or Cinema4D not only requires a more powerful GPU, they require more GPU memory. The RTX 3090 Ti delivers between 42%-102% more performance than the RTX 2080 Ti and TITAN RTX in these rendering apps. And because the RTX 3090 Ti features a massive 24 GB of memory, it can handle datasets that are twice as large as those that fit into the memory footprint of the original RTX 3080 Ti. Video editors will see huge advantages as well. For example, working with 8K RAW projects in DaVinci Resolve featuring REDCODE, Raw (R3D) files uses most of the 10GB of memory available on the original GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. Adding a GPU memory-intensive effect such as Temporal Noise reduction, or SpeedWarp retiming can easily exceed the memory available on the RTX 3080 Ti, resulting in out-of-memory errors within the application. Performing the same memory-intensive operations with the RTX 3090 Ti allows editing to continue normally without having to reduce the project complexity. The same card listed above on Best Buy's website is pictured below on NVIDIA's official website. Readers will notice the pricing of the card above is reduced, while NVIDIA is remaining to keep the cost at MSRP. The timing of the reduction seems pretty strategic, as September will be the last month when any retailer can sell the maximum amount of RTX 30 series graphics cards outside of this current month. We will then start seeing the launch of RTX 40 series cards, the successor to the current series on the market, which will impact costs even more after the announcement later this year. NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 40 desktop graphics cards and mobility GPUs based on the Ada Lovelace architecture have leaked out with their PCI IDs. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Desktop Graphics Cards and Mobility GPU PCI IDs Leaked, GeForce RTX 4090 Confirmed The GPU IDs for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series lineup which will be based on the Ada Lovelace GPU architecture were published over at LaptopVideo2Go and discovered by @Harukaze5719. The PCI IDs include several desktop and mobility SKUs which are expected to launch around this fall & the start of next year but don't expect all of the GPUs mentioned here to be launched in the market as some device IDs are set for preliminary engineering boards that never go out to retail. So starting with the PCI Device IDs, first up we have the 'NVIDIA_DEV.268' which is said to be the top GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card that will be based on the AD102 GPU architecture. The RTX 4090 will be the flagship offering for 2022, offering almost 100 TFLOPs of compute performance that's hinted in previous leaks. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 'Rumored' Specifications The NVIDIA GeForce RTX RTX 4090 graphics card is expected to be powered by the top AD102-300 GPU but it is only the 'Ti' variant that will feature the full chip. The Geforce RTX 4090 will utilize a slightly cut-down configuration. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 will use 128 SMs of the 144 SMs for a total of 16,384 CUDA cores. The GPU will come packed with 96 MB of L2 cache and a total of 384 ROPs which is simply insane. The clock speeds are not confirmed yet but considering that the TSMC 4N process is being used, we are expecting clocks between the 2.0-3.0 GHz range. As for memory specs, the GeForce RTX 4090 is expected to rock 24 GB GDDR6X capacities that will be clocked at 21 Gbps speeds across a 384-bit bus interface. This will provide up to 1 TB/s of bandwidth. This is the same bandwidth as the existing RTX 3090 Ti graphics card and as far as the power consumption is concerned, the TBP is said to be rated at 450W which means that TGP may end up lower than that. The card will be powered by a single 16-pin connector which delivers up to 600W of power. It is likely that we may get 500W+ custom designs as we saw with the RTX 3090 Ti. The rest of the lineup is a mix of various NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Mobility GPUs which will be based on various GPU SKUs such as the AD103, AD104, AD106, & AD107 chips. Following is the complete breakdown. According to leaker Kopite7kimi, the GN21-X11 series SKUs will feature the AD103 GPU which will be followed by the GN21-X9 with AD104, GN21-X6 with AD106, and GN21-X4/X2 with the AD107 GPUs. The GN20 series was part of the Ampere family so it's easy to conclude that the GN21 lineup will be part of the Ada Lovelace family. In a previous breakdown by the same leaker, it was reported that the NVIDIA AD103 Mobile SKU will have a max power limit of 175W which will also be retained for the AD104 SKUs, the AD106 GPU will have a 140W power limit while the AD107 will end up somewhere around or under the 100W range. The GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards are expected to launch in Q4 2022 while mobility GPUs are expected around CES 2023.

At long last, the Skyrim Together Reborn co-op mod is available for download via Nexus Mods. As you might have already guessed, it aims to achieve one very specific goal: introducing cooperative multiplayer to Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, tested with up to 30 players. If you're having deja-vu, that's perfectly normal. We first covered Skyrim Together over three years ago, when the mod was about to enter Closed Beta status. However, the ambitious project was abruptly halted by a scandal when the public learned how the modders had used stolen code from Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE). As confirmed in the official FAQ, Skyrim Together Reborn has been remade from the ground up by a new team who is also adamant that this version is vastly improved. For instance, there is now full synchronization of NPCs, monsters (including dragons), quests, inventories and equipment, projectiles, magic, stealth, locks, horse mounting, and transformations (into vampires or werewolves).Dialogues are synchronized by the party leader. Whenever the party leader talks to an NPC or makes a dialogue choice, the others will hear and see the same thing. Of course, one of the major changes is that the game won't load a save file upon death anymore. Instead, the player character will respawn nearby. If the player character dies in a dungeon or an interior, they will respawn at the start of the dungeon/interior. Additionally, characters automatically pay any outstanding crime bounties upon death, thus ensuring they won't be aggroed by guards upon respawning. There's also an option in the server settings where respawning costs a bit of gold.Skyrim Together Reborn's default difficulty setting is Expert. The creators recommend keeping it as high as possible, given that the game was never balanced to be played with more than one player. For much the same reason, using NPC followers is not recommended. PvP is disabled by default, though there is a server setting that can toggle it on. However, keep in mind that PvP won't be balanced in any waySkyrim Together Reborn can only be installed on Steam's Skyrim Special Edition version 1.6, which launched with the 10th Anniversary upgrade last year. However, the mod creators do not advise using the mod pack that goes with it or any other mod for that matter if you can help it. That's because they are not synchronized and could potentially cause stability issues. Graphics mods should generally be fine, though, and if you really want to install mods there's also a server setting that enforces a mod policy so everyone has to have the same mods installed in the same order. While the mod is considered a 1.0 release, the team would also like to implement additional features such as player markers/waypoints on the map, synchronized weather, and a scripting API. However, the team hopes other contributors will join to help now that Skyrim Together Reborn is open source. https://wccftech.com/skyrim-together-reborn-co-op-mod-is-finally-out/

Samsung Electronics reported a smaller-than-expected rise in quarterly operating earnings on Thursday as lower sales to inflation-hit smartphone makers dragged on profits from server customers loading up on memory chips. The world's largest memory-chip and smartphone maker estimated its profit rose 11 percent from a year earlier to KRW 14 trillion (nearly Rs. 84,600 crore) in the three months ended June 30 — its highest second-quarter profit since 2018 — from KRW 12.57 trillion (roughly 76,000 crore) a year earlier. The profit fell short of a KRW 14.45 trillion (roughly Rs. 88,000 crore) SmartEstimate from Refinitiv. Revenue likely rose 21 percent from the same period a year earlier to KRW 77 trillion (roughly Rs. 4.6 lakh crore), Samsung said in a short preliminary earnings release, in line with market expectations. Samsung is due to release detailed earnings later this month. Earlier on Tuesday, it was reported that Samsung is likely to turn in its best April-June profit since 2018 with a 15 percent year-on-year rise, as lingering demand for its memory chips from server customers offsets lower sales to inflation-hit smartphone makers. Operating profit for the world's biggest smartphone and memory-chip maker likely jumped to KRW 14.46 trillion in the quarter, according to a Refinitiv SmartEstimate from 24 analysts, from KRW 12.57 trillion roughly a year earlier. Its chip earnings likely soared 49 percent to KRW 10.3 trillion (roughly Rs. 62,500 crore), an average of seven estimates shows. The chip business accounts for about half of the South Korean tech giant's profits. On the overall outlook for global memory chip demand, Park Sung-soon, an analyst at CAPE Investment & Securities, said US data centre firms such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Meta are expected to continue buying "to meet expanding demand for cloud services".

Intel's 13th Gen Raptor Lake Desktop CPU platform details leaked out during a 'NAS Workshop' presentation in Shenzen, China. The slide gives us a good look at the features one should expect from the upcoming processors but it is also missing one crucial feature. Intel Raptor Lake Desktop CPU Platform Details Leak Out: DDR5-5600 Support Confirmed But No Word on PCIe Gen 5 M.2 Support On paper, Intel's 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPUs look to be an optimized version of the 12th Gen Alder Lake CPUs. They will be based on the same 10nm ESF 'Intel 7' process node, utilize the same P-Core & E-Core design, & will be supported on existing motherboards. But there's a lot that's changing with Raptor Lake and we are going to detail everything, from official details to rumored information that we know about Alder Lake so far and what you could expect from Intel's next desktop lineup which will be pitted right against AMD's next Ryzen CPU lineup for desktops too. Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake Desktop CPUs Expected Features: Up To 24 Cores & 32 Threads Brand New Raptor Cove CPU Cores (Higher P-Core IPC) Based on 10nm ESF 'Intel 7' process node Supported on existing LGA 1700 motherboards Dual-Channel DDR5-5600 Memory Support 20 PCIe Gen 5 Lanes Enhanced Overclocking Features 125W PL1 TDP (Flagship SKUs) Intel is sticking with its LGA 1700 platform for at least one more CPU lineup and that's Raptor Lake. Chipzilla confirmed that Raptor Lake CPUs will be compatible with the existing LGA 1700 motherboards based on the 600-series chipset. But like each generation, motherboard makers will be offering a brand new lineup of motherboards based on the 700-series chipset which will come with higher I/O lanes. In addition to that, Raptor Lake chips will be supporting DDR5-5600 speeds which is a nice bump over the native DDR5-5200 speeds that Alder Lake supports. The CPUs will also continue DDR4-3200 support on the D4 series motherboards. This offers a nice upgrade path to users who are currently running a mainstream Core i3 or Core i5 CPU and want to upgrade to a higher-end chip. They can simply replace their existing 12th Gen CPU with a higher-end Core i7 or Core i9 SKU which will increase the overall performance of their PC. The 13th Gen CPU will also feature enhanced overclocking capabilities. Alder Lake currently goes up to 5.5 GHz with the upcoming Core i9-12900KS SKU which is rated at a maximum power rating of up to 260W, the highest ever on the mainstream platform. In addition to these, the Raptor Lake CPUs will also offer 16 PCIe Gen 5.0 lanes, 4 PCIe 4.0 lanes, and an x8 interconnect (Gen 4) for DMI. The PCH will carry additional PCI Gen 4.0 lanes in addition to increasing USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20G) ports, PCIe 3.0, and SATA III connections. There's also a new AI M.2 module support that's supported by Raptor Lake CPUs but the slide nowhere mentions PCIe Gen 5 support for M.2 which is a bit odd. Recently, there were rumors about Intel having Z790 motherboards with PCIe Gen 5 but considering that AMD is going Gen 5 with their 600-series platform, Intel is very likely to offer Gen 5 M.2 SSD support on its newest motherboards but those x16 Gen 5 CPU lanes are going to be split between the dGPU and the M.2 SSDs. Over the weekend, Activision suffered a major leak, with a variety of information about this year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and even a bit about the 2024 Treyarch-developed CoD title, leaking. Maps, perks, weapons, and even some screenshots have been revealed (get more details here). That said, there are still some outstanding questions. The big leak confirmed once again that a new Tarkov-style extraction-based “DMZ” mode is in the works, although surprisingly, it states it won’t arrive until early next year. With 2023 reportedly being the first year in decades without a core Call of Duty title, many have begun to speculate that the DMZ experience may be positioned as a free-to-play standalone title to fill the gap between Modern Warfare 2 in 2022 and Treyarch’s next Black Ops title in 2024. Well, according to reliable Call of Duty leaker Tom Henderson that’s not the case. Per Henderson, DMZ mode is just that – an extra mode for Modern Warfare 2, similar to Zombies or Spec Ops. While the mode may not be available right at MW2’s launch, it will be available this year. Per previous leaks, it seems DMZ mode will reuse sections of the CoD Warzone 2.0’s map, so perhaps it will launch alongside that game. Activision has yet to officially announce DMZ, but they have confirmed they’ll have more information about a new “sandbox mode” sometime this year. So, if DMZ isn’t coming in 2023, then what is? It’s strongly rumored some sort of free-to-play experience is coming next year. Well, again per Henderson, whatever we’re getting in 2023 is in early development at Treyarch and is codenamed “Project Nexus.” As for what Project Nexus might be, Henderson is unsure, but the name brings to mind some sort of crossover or multi-timeline-spanning experience, which would mean we’re probably looking at some sort of Zombies game. Rumors have been circulating that a F2P Zombies title is coming in 2023, so that would line up. Of course, take this all with a grain of salt for now. Clearly we have some conflict between the recent leak and Henderson’s sources, so believe who you will. That said, Henderson’s track record has been pretty spotless when it comes to CoD.Activision Blizzard has faced a series of lawsuits and other legal action on the heels of a suit filed by California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) alleging widespread gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment at the Call of Duty publisher. You can get more details on that unfolding story here.Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launches on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5 on October 28. Warzone 2.0 is coming to the same platforms sometime in 2022. https://wccftech.com/cod-modern-warfare-2-dmz-mode-2022-not-f2p-project-nexus-2023/

Intel's Z790 motherboards will be launching as the flagship 700-series platform designed for 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPUs. These motherboards are expected to carry some new I/O features that will give some reason to get them over the existing 600-series products but we can assure you that if you are on a Z690 motherboard, you're good to go. Intel's Raptor Lake-Ready Z790 Flagship Motherboards To Be Revealed In Q3 2022 With PCIe Gen 5 M.2 Support The Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPU lineup is coming later this fall and the blue team will be ready to support it not only on the existing 600-series motherboards but also on the next-gen 700-series boards. Now, these boards have already been revealed and will come in three flavors, Z790, H770 & B760. The H710 motherboards are seemingly canceled as the H610 boards will take their place and continue to be offered in the entry-level segment. According to Moore's Law is Dead, Intel's Z790 motherboards will add support for PCIe Gen 5 M.2 SSDs but just like AMD's AM5 platform, not all motherboards will have it. It looks like only the top-tier motherboards (premium offerings) will carry Gen 5 M.2 support whereas the mainstream line will not utilize PCIe Gen 5.0 due to the higher costs that come from adding more PCB layers and redrivers for Gen 5 hardware. All of AMD's X670E class boards will carry PCIe Gen 5 M.2 support but as we have seen there too, only the top-end spectrum utilize the X670E design whereas the rest of the lineup (X670 / B650) is a mix of Gen 5 and Gen 4 PCIe/SSD solutions. It is stated that Intel plans to show off its first Z790 products by the end of July or Late August which means a Q3 2022 unveiling. This won't be a retail launch of any sort but would be a reveal similar to what AMD did with its 600-series AM5 lineup. Motherboard makers will show off their designs and list down specifications for their next-gen Z790 boards. We may even get to hear pricing from some manufacturers but the possibility of it happening is slim. The motherboards are said to begin validation by August prior to their mass production so that means we could really be looking at a late October or November launch for Intel's 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPUs. We have seen countless engineering samples of Raptor Lake chips now being tested and benchmarked though Intel wants its board partners to be ready prior to the official launch.HWiNFO also recently added preliminary support for ASUS's Z790 motherboards which will be featured in the upcoming version. With that said, Intel's existing 600-series motherboards that were launched with 12th Gen Alder Lake CPUs will retain support for 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPUs since they use the same LGA 1700 and 1800 socket layout. The Z690 motherboards are very capable still and come in both DDR4 & DDR5 flavors. Currently, there are no PCIe Gen 5.0 SSDs out there to take advantage of the Gen 5 slots but they are indeed coming out and AMD is working hard with Phison to usher in the era of Gen 5 storage which will do wonders with their Smart Access Storage technology. Intel also has a new AI M.2 Module feature coming with Raptor Lake CPUs but the details on that have not been revealed yet. So in the end, if you are really interested in Gen 5 SSDs, then Z790 is the way to go otherwise, your current motherboards will be more than good for Raptor Lake chips. Plus, some board makers have already released BIOS for their motherboards to support the upcoming chips. Out of the many modding projects based on Bethesda games, Fallout London appears to be the most vital recently. We got a gameplay trailer in May and then another trailer focused on the environments released this Monday. A few hours ago, the Fallout London team has also put out a new Q2 progress update video. Highlights include a brand new song, some snapshots of real-life museums that will be in the mod (the Science Museum, the Bethlem Museum of the Mind, the Tower of London Museum, and the National Gallery of London), and the fictional area of Eastminster (designed as an extended area of Westminster). The Fallout London mod also had a couple of staff announcements to make as one of the lead developers will be joining Bethesda. Our Lead Technical Adviser Ryan Johnson @Ropiequet will be departing the project to go and work at Bethesda as an Associate Level Designer. How does this impact the project? For those unsure what a Lead Technical Adviser is, well, it is an expert whose job is to give advice to another person or to a group of people, in our case the level designers. Luckily for us, we have known about this move for a while and thus Ropiequet has helped collate his knowledge into invaluable design documentation so the rest of the team can work on in his stead seamlessly. More so, Ropiequet finished all of his expected level design tasks as well as a few extra ones we didn't expect him to do! The man's professionalism and dedication will honestly and truly be missed and felt throughout the team, however, it brings us hand on heart joy to know that he will be taking his amazing talents to a company we all love. We are excited to see the worlds he can build for Bethesda because from what we've seen here at Fallout London, we'll all be in for a treat On the other hand, Project Lead Dean Carter also received an offer to join Bethesda, but he ultimately declined to complete work on this Fallout 4 mod. Fallout London is currently targeting a 2023 release window. It will only be available on PC. https://wccftech.com/fallout-london-mod-gets-q2-2022-progress-update-loses-dev-to-bethesda/

Samsung may start making entry-level foldable smartphones with prices starting at KRW 1 million (roughly Rs. 61,000) by 2024, as per a report. These entry-level foldable smartphones are said to come with only “core functions” and “advanced features” are claimed to be available in the premium versions of the handsets. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, which is among the latest foldable smartphones by the South Korean company, was launched at a price starting Rs. 84,999 for the base option. As per a report published in a Korean publication, (via SamMobile), Samsung Electronics' Mobile Experience (MX) division has started the development of a low-end, affordable foldable smartphone alongside the Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip. The South Korean company's strategy is reported to create a foldable smartphone belonging to the 'Galaxy A' series of mobiles. This is not the first time that a report about the Galaxy A series foldable phone has come out. Earlier this year, a report claimed that Samsung might be working on a new affordable foldable, which might launch by 2025 and could be part of the company's Galaxy A series lineup. However, the latest development suggests that this affordable phone may launch by 2024 allowing the company to solidify its already dominating position in the foldable smartphone market. The South Korean company is said to have captured lion's share in Q1 2022 even though its share fell from about 90 percent in Q3 2021 to 74 percent share in Q1 2022. Another reason for Samsung to reportedly prepone the affordable foldable phone could be the huge growth in the foldable smartphone market. IDC reported earlier this year that foldable phone market worldwide grew over 264 percent between 2020 and 2021 and will reach 27.6 million units in 2025 with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 69.9 percent from 2020 to 2025. This was further seen when the foldable smartphone shipments reportedly grew by a whopping 571 percent year-over-year in the first quarter of 2022 to 2.22 million. Furthermore, Samsung is already facing competition from Chinese players such as Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, Motorola, and Huawei in the foldable smartphone space. It is likely to face competition from other big fish including Apple and Google that are rumoured to be developing high-end foldable smartphones.

Last week, AMDVLK 2022.Q2.3 was unleashed as an update to the official AMD open-source Vulkan Linux driver, which showcased notable graphical performance improvements on RDNA 2 GPUs. The Mesa RADV Linux driver outperforms the official AMD AMDVLK Linux driver for RDNA 2-based GPUs Due to this release, Michael Larabel from Phoronix felt that updated benchmarks were necessary, posing the update against the Mesa Project's RADV Vulkan driver. Larabel showcased the results on his website, utilizing an AMD RDNA 2 GPU to see the differences between the drivers. As a reminder to our readers, RADV, or Radeon Vulkan graphics driver, was developed by community engineers from Google, Red Hat, and other contributors working within the Linux platform. The driver is, by far, the go-to choice for users of AMD graphics cards utilizing them in Linux. With the amount of backing from some of those top names, it sees plenty of updates and improvements that affect all aspects, including performance. With the Mesa Project's RADV driver, every primary Linux distribution channel sees it, unlike the AMD-backed AMDVLK, which does not see as much steam as the former. Regardless, AMD updates the AMDVLK code as part of their official Linux updates, based on the same source code for the Windows and Linux proprietary Vulkan driver. The only downfall to utilizing the source is that the LLVM AMDGPU shader compiler that the company uses instead of their proprietary shader has missing areas to the support, such as Vulkan ray-tracing. When Larabel d both the current RADV and AMDVLK 2022.Q2.3 open-source graphics compilers, he incorporated an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT GPU while using the Ubuntu 22.04 OS and an Intel Core i9-12900K CPU. The compiler he used was Mesa 22.0.1 (shipped with Ubuntu 22.04 LTS) and the AMDVLK 2022.Q3.3 driver using official AMD binaries recently released.Readers should note that "no Radeon Software for Linux proprietary Vulkan driver testing was conducted ... with AMD having yet to release a driver with official support for Ubuntu 22.04 LTS," states Larabel in his article. Below are screenshots of all tests compiled by the website Phoronix and some takeaways from the testing. GravityMark from Tellusim tests: A demanding Vulkan benchmark, GravityMark supports Vulkan ray-tracing, but only the standard Vulkan render path was benchmarked. A slight improvement was seen with RADV at lower resolutions. DIRT Rally 2.0 benchmark: With Steam Play with DXVK, better performance on RADV was seen over AMDVLK, even when utilizing the Mesa 22.0.1 release packaged with Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. F1 2021: Steam Play improved performance uplift when transitioning from Mesa 22.0 to 22.2-dev from the Oibaf PPA. AMDVLK tests were not successful in this benchmark testing. Batman: Arkham Knight: The Mesa RADV driver showed improvement over AMDVLK. Civilization VI: AMDVLK produced better results than Mesa 22.2-dev and Mesa 22.0.1. HITMAN 2: AMDVLK issued almost identical frame rates with Mesa 22.0, while the Mesa 22.2-dev was limited in comparison. HITMAN 3: RADV outperformed AMDVLK. Shadow of the Tomb Raider: A native Linux port by Feral Interactive shows comparable RADV performance against AMDVLK Vulkan driver performance. Strange Brigade: A minor lead was shown with AMDVLK in some settings, but primarily similar performance between both Radeon Vulkan drivers. Total War: Three Kingdoms: Small Performance increase from RADV over AMDVLK. Total War: WARHAMMER III: A new native Linux game release, ported over by Feral Interactive, showed improved performance with the native Linux and Vulkan build over the Mesa RADV compared to AMDVLK. yquake2 8.10: RADV outperformed AMDVLK. X-Plane 11 RADV maintained a small performance leap over AMDVLK. After testing, the Mesa RADV driver consistently grows and maintains a healthy lead over the open-source AMD Radeon Vulkan driver. Hopefully, we will see improved performance in the RADV department upon releasing the new RDNA 3 architecture later this year.

Escape from Tarkov is rolling out its latest update today, and it’s a big one. The patch offers a new offline co-op mode, expands the Lighthouse location, adds new bosses, and more. Fidelity FX Super Resolution (FSR) support has also been added, although only for the original version of AMD’s tech, not FSR 2.0. Of course, as with most major Tarkov updates, progress is also being wiped, so get ready to return to square one. You can get the full rundown on all the new content and features included in Escape from Tarkov ver. 0.12.12.30, below. New Features Expanded the Lighthouse location - added the ability to visit the island where the lighthouse is located, and also added new interiors inside the water treatment plant facility complex. Added three new bosses - the commanders of the ex-USEC PMC group known as Rogues. The leader of the gang is Knight, who coordinates the actions of the entire group and specializes in assault operations. Birdeye maintains distance between him and the enemy, setting up ambushes and choosing positions with a clear line of sight to the area. Big Pipe prefers the grenade launcher and serves the role of massive firepower in battle and always rushes towards the enemy to reach combat distance. Bosses maintain contact with each other and with the other Rogues, however they don’t stick together and instead keep their positioning distances. When an enemy is detected by any of the bosses or Rogues, information on enemy location is transmitted to everyone by radio, and the bosses prepare for battle, taking up tactical positions for engagement. Bosses help each other, use all available weapons, and are hostile to everyone: players of any faction, Scavs, and Raiders. They don't communicate with the rest of the bosses and Fence, so they attack any enemy immediately. Killing them does not affect the player's reputation. The bosses' habitats are Lighthouse, Shoreline, Woods, and Customs. They do not stay in one place and instead wander through these locations all the time. If the bosses have moved to one of the maps, they will be absent on the others. There is no timetable for their movement and no one knows what the bosses are guided by when changing their location. Added offline cooperative game mode. This game mode is only available to players who purchased the Edge of Darkness pre-order edition. Added the “Co-op mode” checkbox on the game mode selection screen. In co-op mode, all settings for bots, bosses, time and weather are identical to online raids. Progress in co-op raids is not saved, and the gear taken into such raids won’t be lost upon death; The “Start as group” checkbox allows for all players in the group to spawn together in the center of the location. With the checkbox unticked, all players will spawn like in the online mode. The number of players in a group for the co-op mode has been increased and depends on the maximum number of players in the selected location. The number of co-op servers may be limited under heavy loads. In this case, on the group gathering screen, you will see a message saying “Attention! High load on practice mode servers”. This message means that finding a server for a co-op raid may take longer than usual. Graphical Improvements AMD Fidelity FX Super Resolution (FSR) - an image scaling technology in modern 3D games that allows you to increase performance with minimal loss in the quality of the final image. FSR is an analogue of the DLSS technology and is supported by all AMD graphics cards from the RX400 series and newer, as well as NVIDIA 1000 series cards and newer. The FSR option is only available for Full HD resolutions (1920x1080) and higher. The Performance mode is only available for 4K Ultra HD resolutions (3840x2160) and higher. Temporarily disabled the ability to enable Mip Streaming in the graphics settings. We are currently reworking this function and will re-enable it in the nearest updates. Updated the NVidia Reflex version. Reworked laser sights for all tactical devices: with IR mode enabled, the lasers and flashlights will not be visible since they are designed for use with NVGs. Also, the intensity and brightness of standard non-IR lasers has been increased. Of course, the latest Escape from Tarkov update also includes a variety of bug fixes. If you need to know about those, you can check out the full, unabridged patch notes, right here. Escape from Tarkov is the work of Battlestate Games, one of Russia’s largest developers. The studio has remained silent on the Russian invasion of Ukraine, not offering either supportive or critical comments. We here at Wccftech hope for a resolution to the conflict and the safety of all Ukrainian citizens. If you wish to donate to the International Committee of the Red Cross to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine, head to this page.Escape from Tarkov can be played on PC. The game’s latest update is available to download now. https://wccftech.com/escape-from-tarkov-update-0-12-12-30-fsr-new-bosses-offline-co-op/
