  1. Alongside the announcement of Halo Infinite at E3 2018, 343 Industries touted the usage of the internally developed Slipspace Engine to achieve the ambitious vision the studio had for the game. The Slipspace Engine was also supposed to make the developers' job easier, as noted by former 343 Industries head Bonnie Ross in a 2019 interview with IGN.The Halo engine is a very technical, engineering-focused engine. It's super hard for creatives to work in. It's super hard for a lot of creatives to work at one time. We did a ton of work, on Halo 4, on the engine, to get it to look... I think it looked amazing for being on the last generation on the last year of the platform. We promised the team we would do the work on the tools, and pipeline, for Halo 5, so it wasn't such a challenging environment to develop on. You know... 'best-laid plans'... we didn't do that, and the team, rightfully so, basically called us on it. One, we want to do more with Halo... and two, we want to have a team that can do their best creative work within our engine. So it really was taking the time off and, as we announced the Slipspace Engine last year, it is all to make sure we're building the platform for the future of Halo. However, the Slipspace Engine didn't deliver on those promises. The development of Halo Infinite was famously troublesome, forcing Microsoft to delay the game out of the Xbox Series S|X launch as it was not nearly ready in late 2020.The game was only released in late December 2021, and it had quite a few performance issues, to boot. That was just the tip of the iceberg, anyway, as 343 Industries had to make massive cuts (two-thirds, according to reports) to ship the game, and some core features like Forge mode and co-op campaign still haven't been added to Halo Infinite. It's, therefore, not that surprising to hear a new rumor from Jeremy Penter (ACG) about 343i choosing to abandon the Slipspace Engine in favor of Epic's Unreal Engine. For his part, Jez Corden could not corroborate but did say it is likely. He also noted that Director of Engineering David Berger has recently left the company. The first Halo game to use Unreal Engine could therefore be Tatanka, in development at Certain Affinity and rumored to be inspired by the Battle Royale genre. It seems like in-house engines are on the way out, as Halo could be the last in a long list of prestigious IPs switching to Unreal Engine, including The Witcher and Tomb Raider. Even SEGA's Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is trying UE with the Like a Dragon: Ishin remake. https://wccftech.com/halo-reportedly-dropping-slipspace-engine-in-favor-of-unreal/
  2. Google announced on Friday that its upcoming flagship Pixel 7 series will be available to pre-book in India starting from October 6 — the same day when it is scheduled to host the 'Made By Google' event to unveil the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. The company has already revealed the design and colour options of both handsets. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that the Pixel 7 series will debut with the next-gen Google Tensor G2 SoC. Notably, these will be the first flagship smartphones to officially launch in India since the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL. Google shared a tweet on Friday revealing that the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be available to pre-order in India via Flipkart starting from October 6 at 9:30pm. However, the pricing and first sale date are still under wraps. The shared poster has confirmed that these two smartphones will come in all of the previously revealed colour options — Obsidian, Snow, and Hazel for the Pixel 7 Pro, whereas the Pixel 7 gets the Lemongrass option instead of Hazel. There have been rumours suggesting that Google might launch the Pixel 7 series at the same price as the launch price of the Pixel 6 lineup. A leaked Amazon listing has solidified these rumours as it featured a standard Pixel 7 model priced at $599 (roughly Rs. 50,000). If these rumours are true, then the Pixel 7 Pro might arrive with an $899 (roughly Rs. 75,000) price tag. There have been several reports speculating the possible specifications of the upcoming Google flagship series. The standard Pixel 7 is said to sport a 6.3-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the Pixel 7 Pro is likely to boast a 6.7-inch QHD+ OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. These smartphones may also get up to 12GB of RAM and the Titan M security chip. https://gadgets360.com/mobiles/news/google-pixel-7-pro-india-pre-order-date-october-6-flipkart-3393597
  3. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 custom graphics cards are available at European online retailer Proshop, one of Europe's most prominent PC hardware online stores. The online retailer offers more cards in custom flavors than US-based retailer Newegg. You can buy custom NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Graphics Cards in Finland from European retailer Proshop NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card prices start at €1,999, just €50 more than MSRP (or the highly sought-after Founders Edition model). In Spain, these cards are selling at a lower price (€1,899) but have been sold out. Now, the price has increased by €60 to €1,959.The cheapest models are the Gigabyte WindForce, ASUS TUF, and surprisingly MSI's Gaming Trio. All these cards offer default clocks. However, the most affordable overclocked model is the Inno3D X3 OC at €2,099. Graphics cards with water blocks or liquid cooling, such as the INNO3D iChill Frostbite, iChill Black, or MSI Suprim Liquid X, are all listed at €2,299 to €2,399.The ASUS ROG Strix series is the most expensive GPU, starting from €2,529. The overclocking model costs €20 more, so there is little reason to pick up the non-OC variant. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 'Official' Specifications - $1599 US Pricing The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 will use 128 SMs of the 144 SMs for a total of 16,384 CUDA cores. The GPU will come packed with 96 MB of L2 cache and a total of 384 ROPs which is simply insane but considering that the RTX 4090 is a cut-down design, it may feature slightly lower L2 and ROP counts. The clock speeds are not confirmed yet but considering that the TSMC 4N process is being used. The clock speeds are rated at up to 2.6 GHz and NVIDIA is claiming over 3 GHz speeds with overclocking which you can read more about here. As for memory specs, the GeForce RTX 4090 will feature 24 GB GDDR6X capacities that will be clocked at 21 Gbps speeds across a 384-bit bus interface. This will provide up to 1 TB/s of bandwidth. This is the same bandwidth as the existing RTX 3090 Ti graphics card and as far as the power consumption is concerned, the TBP is rated at 450W. The card will be powered by a single 16-pin connector which delivers up to 600W of power. Custom models will be offering higher TBP targets. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU officially launches on October 12th, when NVIDIA and custom card partners' designs become available to the public. Proshop is not taking preorders, especially since many GPUs are available. https://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4090-custom-graphics-cards-available-in-europe-prices-1999-2549-euros/
  4. Horizon Forbidden West launched earlier this year on PS4 and PS5, and by most accounts, it’s been a solid success for Sony, and yet, unlike most major games these days, we’ve had no word on any sort of post-launch content. Horizon Zero Dawn eventually got a major expansion, The Frozen Wilds, so could something similar be coming for Horizon Forbidden West? It seems the answer may be “yes.”Earlier today, Lance Reddick, who plays Sylens in both Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West, tweeted that he was doing new motion capture work for the series. He’s since deleted the tweet, but as always, the Internet never forgets. It should be noted that other folks who have worked on the Horizon series, including Aloy motion-capture actor Peggy Vrijens, have indicated that they’re getting back into the studio. Guerrilla Games is also still actively hiring concept artists to work on Horizon Forbidden West. So yeah, grain of salt, but it sure seems like some more HFW content is on the way, but what form said content might take is an open question right now. One thing is for sure, if mo-cap is only being done now, we’ll likely be waiting for whatever’s in the works for a while. This won’t be like Horizon Zero Dawn, which got The Frozen Wilds expansion after only nine months. Haven’t had a chance to try out Horizon Forbidden West yet? Wccftech’s Alessio Palumbo found it to be a nice improvement on its predecessor in his full review… “Horizon Forbidden West is a worthy sequel to Zero Dawn in every way, proving that Guerrilla is no one-hit wonder when it comes to the action RPG genre. This huge and beautiful world has an incredible amount of things to do and most of them are really fun, thanks to improvements to combat and traversal. The game also features another great storyline that will get fans talking about the inevitable sequel.” Horizon Forbidden West is available now on PS4 and PS5. https://wccftech.com/horizon-forbidden-dlc-leak-lance-reddick/
  5. The Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are the successors to the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro, which were launched globally last year. Google has already announced the launch date for its upcoming smartphones, which is scheduled to take place on October 6. Also expected to launch is the Pixel Watch, which is a first for Google. The search giant gave us a glimpse of these upcoming devices at its Google I/O 2022 event and has now released a new design video showcasing the Pixel 7 Pro smartphone. Google had recently released a shorter video showcasing its new portfolio (which included the new Pixel Watch and the Pixel Buds Pro, but it either blurred out parts of the phones or zoomed in, turning it into a teaser. The new video basically gives us a clearer picture of what the upcoming Pixel 7 Pro from Google will look like when launched. It showcases the chiseled redesign of the rear camera module, which now appears to be made out of metal, instead of the metal and glass construction used on the Pixel 6 Pro. The design appears quite premium and seamless and also showcases the new colour options.According to the official Google Store website, the Pixel 7 will be available in Obsidian, Lemongrass and Snow finishes, while the Pixel 7 Pro will be available in Obsidian, Hazel and Snow finishes. While both phones feature glossy glass rear panels (like with the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro) the Pixel 7 appears to have a matte-finished camera module and frame. The Pixel 7 Pro's camera module and frame as per the video has a reflective chrome-like finish. Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro rumoured specifications Since our first glimpse of the new Pixel smartphones at Google I/O 2022, the company has been shy about revealing hardware-related information. Officially, we know that it will feature the Tensor G2 SoC, which is an upgrade to the Tensor SoC used in the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and the Pixel 6a. However, a recent leak gave out more information, suggesting that the changes between the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 series may not be very drastic. The Pixel 7 is rumoured to come with a 6.3-inch full-HD+ 90Hz refresh rate display, while the Pixel 7 Pro is claimed to feature a 6.7-inch QHD+ OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Pixel 7 Pro as per a recent leak, is expected to be available in a 12GB RAM variant. Both smartphones are said to be available in 128GB and 256GB storage options. The Pixel 7 is rumoured to come with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, while the Pixel 7 Pro is said to feature three rear cameras with an additional 48-megapixel telephoto camera. Both smartphones are expected to feature 11-megapixel sensors for their respective selfie camera. Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro India availability confirmed Google has avoided India as a market for its premium smartphones since the launch of the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. The last premium Pixel smartphones to come to India were the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3XL. Since then, Google has only launched its budget offerings in the country with phones like the Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL, the Pixel 4a and more recently the Pixel 6a. However, Google has confirmed that its Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones will officially be coming to India this year, which should shake up things in the high-end premium smartphone segment, which has been dominated by Samsung and Apple. Google has yet to confirm when the phones will hit pre-order or go on sale in India. https://gadgets360.com/mobiles/news/google-pixel-7-pro-design-video-specifications-launch-india-3384347
  6. MSI is introducing a new BIOS for its X670 and B650 series motherboards that brings "Performance Switch" and several other features to the table. MSI Introduces "Performance Switch" Feature & PBO Thermal Limits On X670 & B650 Motherboards Later today, MSI will be officially introducing its X670E and X670 motherboard. Following is the list of motherboards and their respective product pages where you will be able to find the latest and updated BIOS: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE MSI MEG X670E ACE MSI MPG X670E Carbon WIFI MSI PRO X670-P WIFI MSI Performance Switch For AMD X670 & B650 Motherboards In addition to this, MSI's X670 and B650 motherboards BIOS will come with a new feature known as "Performance Switch" which will deliver users the benefits of both AMD PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive) and manual overclocking. This functionality can be enabled through the Overclocking Menu within the BIOS and comes with three pre-defined profiles (Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3). Users can also take full benefit of advanced manual overclocking mode. Compared to both AMD PBO and Manual Overclocking, it looks like Performance Switch (PBO / PBO Auto+5.45 GHz) delivers the best results. The single-core performance results are more close to PBO Auto while the multi-threaded performance is closer to manual overclocking mode (5.45 GHz). The higher the Level, the better the performance and AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7700X, and Ryzen 5 7600X can achieve up to 4% performance increases versus PBO Auto using the pre-defined levels. MSI X670 & B650 "Performance Switch" Performance vs Manual OC & PBO Auto: MSI X670 & B650 "Performance Switch" Performance Per Level: PBO Thermal Limits For AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs, Cooler Operation With Same Performance Furthermore, MSI is also incorporating PBO Thermal Limits which let you choose from three pre-defined Thermal limits (85C, 75C, 65C). While AMD's Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPUs have a stock limit of 95C, changing it to 85C can not only result in cooler temps but also 1% higher performance since the targeted voltages also drop. Even at a 75C Thermal limit, MSI's own performance numbers show a negligible difference between the stock and thermally limited chip. The Thermal Limits can be found within the Precision Boost Overdrive menu within the OC settings in the BIOS.MSI along with other manufacturers will be launching their X670E and X670 motherboards later today, make sure to visit our full product roundup for detailed information regarding specs and pricing. https://wccftech.com/msi-x670-b650-motherboards-bios-performance-switch-thermal-limit-features/
  7. Genshin Impact version 3.1 launches tomorrow, bringing with it the new Sumeru desert region and characters Nilou, Cyno, and Candace (get more details about the update here), but we’re already looking forward to the game’s next update. Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse has revealed the two characters they plan to add in update 3.2, including the Dedro user Nahida and the Cryo user Layla, and various leakers are filling in some of the blanks. According to reliable Genshin Impact leaker UBatcha, Nahida wields magical Dendro catalysts. Her Elemental Skill allows you to mark enemies and shred their defenses. Her Elemental Burst apparently covers a lot of ground and grants buffs to your Pyro, Electro, and Hydro teammates. Seems like she brings both DPS and support skills to the table. ◆ Nahida ◆ Physic of Purity ◆ Lesser Lord Kusanali ◆ Dendro ◆ Sapientia Oromasdis#GenshinImpact #Nahida pic.twitter.com/ZmRvfCQKcu — Genshin Impact (@GenshinImpact) September 26, 2022 As for Nahida’s character, it seems like she’s the vessel of Lesser Lord Kusanali, the current Dendro Archon (the god of that element and corresponding region). Apparently, Kusanali/Nahida replaced the previous Dendro Archon Greater Lord Rukkhadevata, who was killed during a cataclysm 500 years ago, although many fans suspect Kusanali/Nahida is actually Rukkhadevata drained of her powers. A bit complex, I know. Moving onto Layla, she deals Cryo damage and wields swords. Her Elemental Skill is said to summon a shield of sorts, and her Elemental Burst covers a large area on the ground and deals Cryo damage. ◆ Layla ◆ Fantastical Evening Star ◆ Half-Awake, Half-Asleep, All Incredulous ◆ Cryo ◆ Luscinia#GenshinImpact #Layla pic.twitter.com/58wYN8zhG9 — Genshin Impact (@GenshinImpact) September 26, 2022 Less is known about Layla’s personal traits, although UBatcha says her main defining quirk is always being sleepy. It’s unknown what star rating the new 3.2 characters carry, but I’m guessing Nahida is a 5-star and Layla is a 4-star.As for the overall story of Genshin Impact 3.2, insider VTNa Leak has been posting some details. Very broadly speaking, it seems the player may end up in jail, and eventually team up with Nahida to take on the Fatui Harbinger Dottore. The specifics are a bit unclear, but do follow the link above and see if you can piece it together for yourself.Genshin Impact can be played on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. Update 3.1 drops tomorrow. Updates usually arrive ever six weeks on the dot, so you can likely expect Update 3.2 on November 2. https://wccftech.com/genshin-impact-3-2-leaks-nahida-layla-story/

  9. NVIDIA is allegedly working on a brand new Hopper H100 GPU-based graphics card that would feature up to 120 GB HBM2e memory capacity. NVIDIA Hopper H100 GPU-Powered PCIe Graphics Card With 120 GB HBM2e Memory Capacity Spotted NVIDIA has so far officially announced two versions of the Hopper H100 GPU, an SXM5 board and a PCIe variant. Both feature differently configured Hopper H100 GPUs and while their VRAM capacity is the same at 80 GB, the former utilizes the brand new HBM3 standard while the latter utilizes the HBM2e standard. Now based on information by s-ss.cc (via MEGAsizeGPU), NVIDIA might be working on a brand new PCIe version of the Hopper H100 GPU. The new graphics card won't feature 80 GB HBM2e but will go all out with 120 GB of HBM2e memory. As per the information available, the Hopper H100 PCIe graphics card not only comes with all six HBM2e stacks enabled for 120 GB memory across a 6144-bit bus interface, but it also comes with the same GH100 GPU configuration as the SXM5 variant. This is a total of 16,896 CUDA cores and memory bandwidth that exceeds 3 TB/s. The single-precision compute performance has been rated at 30 TFLOPs which is the same as the SXM5 variant. So coming to the specifications, the NVIDIA Hopper GH100 GPU is composed of a massive 144 SM (Streaming Multiprocessor) chip layout which is featured in a total of 8 GPCs. These GPCs rock total of 9 TPCs which are further composed of 2 SM units each. This gives us 18 SMs per GPC and 144 on the complete 8 GPC configuration. Each SM is composed of up to 128 FP32 units which should give us a total of 18,432 CUDA cores. Following are some of the configurations you can expect from the H100 chip: The full implementation of the GH100 GPU includes the following units: 8 GPCs, 72 TPCs (9 TPCs/GPC), 2 SMs/TPC, 144 SMs per full GPU 128 FP32 CUDA Cores per SM, 18432 FP32 CUDA Cores per full GPU 4 Fourth-Generation Tensor Cores per SM, 576 per full GPU 6 HBM3 or HBM2e stacks, 12 512-bit Memory Controllers 60 MB L2 Cache The NVIDIA H100 GPU with SXM5 board form-factor includes the following units: 8 GPCs, 66 TPCs, 2 SMs/TPC, 132 SMs per GPU 128 FP32 CUDA Cores per SM, 16896 FP32 CUDA Cores per GPU 4 Fourth-generation Tensor Cores per SM, 528 per GPU 80 GB HBM3, 5 HBM3 stacks, 10 512-bit Memory Controllers 50 MB L2 Cache Fourth-Generation NVLink and PCIe Gen 5 Now it is unknown if this is a test board or a future iteration of the Hopper H100 GPU that is being tested out. NVIDIA recently stated at GTC 22 that their Hopper GPU was now in full production and the first wave of products are rolling out next month. As yields get better, we may definitely see the 120 GB Hopper H100 PCIe graphics card and SXM5 variants in the market but for now, the 80 GB is what most customers are going to get. https://wccftech.com/nvidia-hopper-h100-pcie-graphics-card-120-gb-hbm2e-memory-capacity-rumor/
  10. New Valkyrie Elysium footage has been shared online, providing a new look at the upcoming action role-playing game by Square Enix. The new footage, which has been shared on YouTube by Famitsu, provides a new look at some of the game's mechanics, such as multiple weapon types, skills, and more. The video also showcases an intense boss battle against Hilde, who will also be introduced as a playable character with a free update scheduled to go live in November. Valkyrie Elysium is the latest entry in the series originally developed by tri-Ace. While the game feels markedly different from the rest of the series, it has the potential to be a solid action role-playing game, as highlighted by Kai in his preview. All in all, I got about two or three hours of enjoyment out of the complimentary Valkyrie Elysium demo, which piqued my interest in the full release. From the signature Motoi Sakuraba soundtrack to another take on a familiar Valkyrie tale, I’m curious to see where the story goes from here. Players can get their own hands on the upcoming public demo for Valkyrie Elysium ahead of the September 29th release if you’re on consoles. Sorry PC players, you’ll have to wait until November 11th to do The All-Father’s bidding on Steam. There will also be a Digital Deluxe Edition for $74.99 that includes a port of the PSP version of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. Valkyrie Elysium launches on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on September 29th. The game will also hit PC via Steam on November 11th. https://wccftech.com/valkyrie-elysium-new-gameplay-footage-showcases-multiple-weapons-intense-battles-and-more/

All six models feature a brand new cooling design with the air-cooled line featuring 3.5 slot coolers while the liquid-cooled version comes with a dual-slot design.Newegg has listed the first graphics GeForce RTX 4090 custom models and all of them are from MSI for now. There's one model that's been listed with the pricing and it matches the MSRP of $1599.99 US which will be the same for the Founders Edition which NVIDIA offers through its own store & its partners. The graphics card is the Gaming Trio which we have confirmed will be MSI's "MSRP" card and the rest of the cards are likely to carry a higher premium. The Gaming X Trio will be featuring a slightly higher price since it comes with a factory overclock but it should also be close to the MSRP. 13. The latest Diablo II: Resurrected update, version 2.5, has dropped, and as we detailed previously, the big new addition is Terror Zones. Basically, every hour an area will be beset by higher-level enemies than you’d normally face, providing an additional challenge and chance to scoop up some extra XP and higher-level loot. Here’s how Blizzard describes them… “When playing a Terror Zone-enabled game, every hour, the armies of the Burning Hells will focus on specific zones, terrorizing them. The monsters in these zones will be at least two levels higher than your current level or their original level, up to a maximum per difficulty. The experience received and the loot dropped by killing a terrorized monster will be based on this new level. In addition, terrorized monsters will also grant additional experience points." But how do you keep track of which zones are currently being terrorized? Look no further than the Terror Zone Tracker, a fan-sourced tool developed by Redditor Prowner1. It tells you what the current Terror Zone is, how long it will last, what immunities are in play, and more. You can also subscribe to be notified when a favorite zone is being terrorized. You can access the Terror Zone Tracker by popping over to this site or running /terrorized in the in-game chat.In addition to Terror Zones, which you can read more about here, Diablo II: Resurrected also offers new Sundering Charms and, of course, Ladder Season 2. Get more details, below. New Sundering Charms "In Hell difficulty, many monsters receive resistance to specific damage types. If their resistance increases above 100%, that monster is then immune to a specific damage type. Because there are only a handful of ways to reduce a monster’s immunity, only a minute portion of hero builds can successfully farm all zones in Diablo II: Resurrected. We realize that this can create scenarios where certain builds are unable to take full advantage of the current Terror Zone, thus missing out on the experience gains, and most importantly, the fun of these zones. To promote increased class build diversity, we have introduced six Sundering Charms that allow the player to break specific monster immunity types while the charm is in their inventory. Once Ladder Season Two begins on October 6, Sundering Charms will be a possible drop for new Ladder characters. These new unique charms will only drop from Terrorized monsters of Champion, Unique, Superunique, or Boss difficulty. If a monster has immunity to a specific damage type, their resistance will be reduced to 95% regardless of what their starting resistance percentage was—breaking their immunity and allowing damage of that type to be dealt to them." The Black Cleft Monster Magic Immunity is Sundered Magic Resist –45% to -65% The Bone Break Monster Physical Immunity is Sundered Physical Damage Received Increased by 10% to 30% The Cold Rupture Monster Cold Immunity is Sundered Cold Resist –70% to -90% The Crack of the Heavens Monster Lightning Immunity is Sundered Lightning Resist –70% to -90% The Flame Rift Monster Fire Immunity is Sundered Fire Resist –70% to -90% The Rotting Fissure Monster Poison Immunity is Sundered Poison Resist –70% to -90% Ladder Season Two "Ladder Season Two will begin on October 6, ushering in a new opportunity for brave heroes to race to level 99 and amass powerful loot along the way. This will also be the first Ladder Season with Terror Zones! Can you handle the increased ferocity of the Burning Hells, or will you perish under their amplified might? We cannot wait to see how Terror Zones will influence the leaderboard, or hopefully, allow new players the opportunity to see their name on it for the first time." Ladder Season Two Launch Timing: North America October 6, 5:00 p.m. PDT Europe October 7, 2:00 a.m. CEST Asia October 7, 9:00 a.m. KST Of course, Diablo II: Resurrected ver. 2.5 also includes a long list of fixes and minor tweaks. You can check out the full, unabridged patch notes, right here. Activision Blizzard has faced a series of lawsuits and other legal action on the heels of a suit filed by California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) alleging widespread gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment at the Call of Duty publisher. You can get more details on that unfolding story here. Diablo II: Resurrected can be played on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Switch. Update 2.5 is available to download right now. https://wccftech.com/diablo-ii-resurrected-terror-zone-tracker-2-5-update/

  15. Redmi Note 11 Pro variant could be unveiled soon by the Chinese smartphone company. The Redmi Note 11 lineup, which included the Redmi Note 11 Pro and the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G, debuted in India earlier this year. It appears that the Xiaomi sub-brand will soon launch a refreshed model from this series, believed to be bearing the moniker Redmi Note 11 Pro 2023. This handset has been reportedly spotted on the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) database and has received EEC certifications. According to a recent report by MySmartPrice, a Redmi smartphone bearing the model number 2209116AG has been spotted on the FCC database. The alleged listing suggests that this handset is named as Redmi Note 11 Pro 2023. Furthermore, it mentions that the handset runs on MIUI 13 out-of-the-box, which could be based on Android 12.In related news, a past XiaomiUI report spotted the Redmi 2209116AG model on the IMEI database. The supposed listing in itself did not reveal any details regarding this handset; however, the report speculates that the Redmi Note 11 Pro 2023 could be a rebadged Redmi Note 10 Pro. If true, then the Redmi Note 11 Pro 2023 might boast similar specifications to the handset that arrived in India last year. The Redmi Note 10 Pro was priced at Rs. 15,999 for its base 6GB RAM + 64GB storage model at launch. It sports a 6.67-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with 1,200 nits of peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. 16. NVIDIA's flagship GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card flaunted some big numbers in a brief gaming demo featuring Cyberpunk 2077 & DLSS 3. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Demoed In Cyberpunk 2077: 2x Boost With DLSS 3, 2.85 GHz Clocks at Stock, Temps Around 50C & Reduced Wattage The demo shown was using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition graphics card which we detailed fully over here. The card was paired with an Intel Core i9-12900K system and was running Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p using Ultra Ray Tracing and Psycho settings (or maximum settings). At its native resolution, without DLSS and Reflex, the game ran at an average of 59 FPS (49 FPS 1% Lows) while looking at a fixed frame & a latency of 72-75ms.At these settings, the GPU was running over 2.8 GHz, averaging around 2810-2850 MHz (min/max), and with a 100% utilization, the temperatures kept steady between 50-55C. That's a difference of up to 330 MHz versus the reference boost clock of 2520 MHz (+13% increase) and the impressive part is that no overclocking was involved! This was all happening at stock. This is just one game & we can see even higher clock speeds in other games. The card has since been reported to run over 3 GHz with overclocking. But now we have to talk about the performance with DLSS 3 enabled. The game was using a pre-release version of DLSS 3 so performance and settings will vary in the final version. As soon as the DLSS 3 setting is toggled on, the DLSS Frame Generation setting is also enabled. This was using the "Quality" preset and we once again saw full GPU utilization with over 2.8 GHz clocks but the temps were closer to 50C than 55C this time around (keep this in mind). The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 got a performance boost to 170 FPS on average (119 FPS 1% Lows) with DLSS 3 enabled & an average latency of 53.00ms. That's an improvement of 2x in FPS and 30% in latency reduction versus DLSS disabled. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 in Cyberpunk 2077 (DLSS 3 Disabled): But that's not all, using the latest PCAT tool which comes with support for the PCIe 5.0 16-Pin (12VPHWR) power plug, NVIDIA also provided the wattage figures with both, DLSS disabled and enabled. With DLSS 3 disabled, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card consumed 461 Watts on average with a performance per watt (Frames/Joule) of 0.135 points. As soon as DLSS 3 was enabled, the GPU saw the wattage drop to 348W or a 25% reduction. This also increased the perf per watt to 0.513, an increase of 3.8x. Update: We also have performance results added from our GeForce RTX 3090 Ti with DLSS enabled and disabled. We are running a custom MSI SUPRIM X design which features a higher factory OC so performance should be slightly better than the FE variant. The card at stock scored an average 37.2 FPS at native 1440p under the same settings and same scene. The card consumed 452W power & is seen running around 75C. With DLSS 2 "Quality" enabled, we saw a boost to 61 FPS (+64% increase) and the power draw also drops to 409W (-10% decrease). Following is the result. Cyberpunk 2077 Ultra Quality + Psycho RT (Native 1440p): MSI RTX 3090 TI SUPRIM X (Stock Native 1440p) - 37 FPS / 455W Power / ~75C NVIDIA RTX 4090 FE (Stock Native 1440p) - 60 FPS / 461W Power / ~55C RTX 4090 vs RTX 3090 Ti = +62% Faster Cyberpunk 2077 Ultra Quality + Psycho RT (DLSS 1440p): MSI RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X (DLSS 2 1440p) - 61 FPS / 409W Power / 74C NVIDIA RTX 4090 FE (DLSS 3 1440p) - 170 FPS / 348W Power / ~50C RTX 4090 vs RTX 3090 Ti = +178% Faster The power numbers are a seriously big deal and one reason why this may be happening is that the load of the FP32 cores is moved to the tensor cores which run the DLSS algorithms. These cores are specialized at these talks and rather than brute-forcing the whole GPU which results in a higher power draw, the tensor cores can process the data much faster and more efficiently while leading to lower power consumption. DLSS 3 can be a game changer in power efficiency and performance efficiency and we really can't wait to test this out for ourselves when we get our review samples. https://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4090-runs-up-to-2850-mhz-at-stock-50c-temps-in-cyberpunk-2077-dlss-3-cuts-gpu-wattage-by-25-percent/
  17. iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users have been reportedly complaining about camera issues lately. In the latest development, some are said to have claimed that the camera app on their handsets is taking some time to open. This problem builds on the earlier one in which a few early owners of the newly-launched smartphones claimed that their camera shakes and makes noises in third-party apps. Apple included new camera hardware, including a new 48-megapixel main sensor, in the iPhone 14 Pro series of smartphones. Macrumors reports that multiple iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users have complained that the camera app was taking four to five seconds to open after the Camera app icon was tapped. The problem seems to appear when the app is running in the background. Reportedly, the problem “doesn't appear if the Camera app has been manually closed and reopened, or after a software restart.”Furthermore, this problem is faced by users in photo mode and “does not appear to happen when the Camera app is set to video mode.” Interestingly, the problem appears to be limited to the Camera app and does not affect third-party camera apps, the report claims. The recently-released iOS 16.0.1 update does not seem to have a fix for the issue. Neither restarting the iPhone nor factory resetting the device offer a permanent solution, Macrumors says. In a recent development, users of the iPhone 14 Pro models took to Reddit to complain that the rear camera setup on their new smartphones violently shakes and makes noises when used with third-party camera apps like Snapchat and Instagram. The users, however, did not face any issues with Apple's native camera app. The company is reported to issue a fix for the problem next week. The iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max come with a 48-megapixel main camera sensor with second-generation sensor-shift optical image stabilisation — one of the main upgrades included in the flagship series this year. These updates come with an improved Cinematic Mode as well as new modes such as Action Mode and Photonic Engine. https://gadgets360.com/mobiles/news/iphone-14-pro-camera-issue-app-slow-response-report-3360671
  18. We are a week away from the launch of the AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs but the flagship Ryzen 9 7950X is already being sold in China. AMD Ryzen 9 7950X Retail CPU Being Sold In China Ahead of Launch For $850 US The AMD Ryzen 9 7950X was listed at Goofish, a 3rd party Chinese retail outlet where users can also sell second-hand items. The chip that's been listed over at the site is a retail sample & not an engineering sample like the one that was leaked a while back. The CPU shown has the OPN code "100-000000514" and comes with the same IHS and contact pads as we have seen in several CPU renders for the Zen 4 lineup. The CPU is said to be working 100% fine and runs perfectly like any other Ryzen 7000 retail chip on the AM5 platform. About pricing, the lister is asking for 5999 RMB or $856 USD for the chip which is quite a hefty price considering the retail chip which will be available just a week later has a price of $699 US (MSRP). As such, we would advise our readers to not buy this chip and wait for a week to get a chip at MSRP as that's the best way to go. Furthermore, buying this listed chip would mean that you won't get any sort of warranty. AMD Ryzen 9 7950X 16 Core "Zen 4" Desktop CPU The AMD Ryzen 9 7950X retains its healthy 16-core and 32-thread count from the previous two generations. The CPU will feature an impressive base frequency of 4.5 GHz and a boost clock of up to 5.7 GHz (5.85 GHz F-Max) which should make it 200 MHz faster than Intel's Alder Lake Core i9-12900KS which has a boost frequency of 5.5 GHz on a single-core. The CPU can also hit a peak or max frequency of 5.85 GHz but will require some serious cooling as detailed here. The flagship is going to cost $699 US which means that it will be priced slightly higher than the Core i9-12900K while offering a significant performance leap in multi-threading apps such as Chaos V-Ray of up to +57% and doing so with up to 47% higher energy efficiency. In terms of gaming performance, the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X will be offering up to 35% higher uplift in games such as Shadow of The Tomb Raider versus the Core i9-12900K. AMD also showcased the performance of the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X against the Intel Core i9-12900K in both gaming and content creation tasks. The CPU was anywhere from -1% to +23% faster in the gaming benchmarks and +36 to +62% faster in creation workloads. The AMD Ryzen 9 7950X along with the rest of the Ryzen 7000 CPU family and the AM5 platform are scheduled for launch next week on the 27th of September. https://wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-9-7950x-16-core-retail-cpu-already-being-sold-in-china-for-850-us/

  21. AMD might have provided a new hint about their next-gen Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards based on the RDNA 3 GPU architecture. The hint comes as a cryptic tweet posted by AMD's Senior Director of Gaming Marketing, Sasa Marinkovic. Tweet From AMD's Gaming Marketing Director Might Give Us A New Hint At RDNA 3 GPUs Performance For Radeon RX 7000 Cards Sasa didn't mention any product within the tweet but I think we can make a few guesses. First of all, it doesn't seem like this is related to AMD's Ryzen 7000 CPUs because we have already got a load of information regarding the Zen 4 CPUs. The only other gamer-focused product that AMD has coming out is their Radeon RX 7000 series based on the RDNA 3 GPU architecture which were briefly teased at the "Together We Advance_PCs". AMD Focusing On DIY & PC-Friendly Graphics Card Designs & Cooling? So the tweet itself which reads "bigger doesn't necessarily mean better" could be pointing out to the recent NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 leaks which have shown the card to feature insanely huge & quad-slot cooling solutions. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card is expected to be unveiled in a few days at GTC 22 however, AMD has already started to take shots at their competitor's next-gen parts which will be coming out a little earlier than their own next-gen solutions. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 custom graphics cards that have leaked out are so far reported to feature a single 16-pin connector (12VPWHR) for up to 600 Watts of power and given their higher TGP, they will require some hefty cooling solutions like the one we have seen leak out recently. It looks like AMD might not go that route and deliver solutions that feature a more user & PC-friendly dual-slot design. Earlier rumors have pointed out a slightly bigger yet still 2.5-slot cooling solution with two 8-pin connectors to boot. So AMD's Radeon RX 7000 series may come out with a card that not only consumes lower power but also doesn't require large cooling solutions. Or Is This About The GPU Die Sizes? AMD also pointed this out a while back, stating that while their cards are a bit more power-hungry than RDNA 2, they will be much more efficient than the competition. Do remember that the red team is targetting a 50% perf/watt uplift over RDNA 2 with its new 5nm RDNA 3 GPUs. The other thing that Sasa could have pointed out could be the die size.AMD's RDNA 3 powered Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards are going to be the first gaming products to feature an MCM solution. As such, the GPU could move several operations off-die in chiplets such as the Infinity Cache, leading to a smaller GPU die size. The GPU will be designated as a GCD or Graphics Complex Die while the Infinity Cache and Memory interface will be moved over to multiple MCDs or Memory-Chiplet Die. This would in return lead to a smaller GPU footprint and as per the latest rumor by Kepler_L2, the Navi 31 will measure 533mm2 (308mm2 GCD + 37.5mm2 per MCD) while the NVIDIA AD102 GPU will measure 628mm2 in a single monolithic package. This is a reduction of 40% in die size using the same TSMC 5nm process node.Plus, it will be easy to compare the transistor density and transistor efficiency of both chips since they are both using the same TSMC node instead of the last gen where RDNA 2 and Ampere chips were based on different process technologies from different companies (Samsung 8nm / TSMC 7nm). At 308mm2, the Navi 31 GPU will be more densely packaged than the Navi 21 GPU which measures 520mm2 and houses 26.8 Billion transistors (51.5/mm2). Regardless, We Are Excited For AMD's RDNA 3 GPUs, Bring It On! AMD did manage to close up a huge performance gap with its RDNA 2 GPU-based Radeon RX 6000 in the previous generation and even managed to outperform its competitors with stellar efficiency & performance. The company is planning to do it once again and this time, even better with its first chiplet GPU architecture, the RDNA 3, designed by David Wong and his team for the next-gen RX 7000 series graphics cards. We can't wait to see the latest GPUs in action later this year. https://wccftech.com/amd-posts-tweet-saying-bigger-doesnt-necessarily-means-better-hint-at-rdna-3-radeon-rx-7000-gpus/
