Seven people lost their lives in police events in the first month of the year, while the same number were registered in February. However, in this report, three cases stand out where the victims were delinquents, protagonists of assaults and who ended up dead. Such is the case of Javier Eduardo Torres, 22 years old, who after joining, together with an accomplice in a house on Chubut street in Las Heras, were discovered by the owner who chased them to the shots. Torres was shot in the chest and died within a few blocks. It happened on the 22nd of last month and the dead man had a history of theft. Another case was recorded on January 20, when Cristian Bruera was lynched and beaten by neighbors who surprised him by assaulting a home in the B ° Tamarindo, Las Heras. And a couple of days later, another thief, identified as Carlos Sanchez (41) died bleeding after cutting his arm with the glass of a window he had violated in the Parque Norte neighborhood of Las Heras. Other facts The first crime of the year was committed on the 11th in an area of farms in Rivadavia. The victim, at that time, was not identified. While on the 15th, the lifeless body of a person (not identified) was found in an open field in Guaymallén. On the 20th, Liliana Olguín, 49, was killed, due to the act described as femicide, her partner was arrested. Las Heras happened. Six days later, Oscar Sosa, 26, was shot dead inside the La Gloria neighborhood. The chronology continues with the appearance of the body, half-buried in a farm in Tunuyán, by José Riera, 64years old, whose disappearance had been denounced a week before. And the first month of the year closes with the death of Leonel Salvatierra, 16, shot a week earlier in the neighborhood of Corazón de Jesús, in Maipú. The homicides in February took place on the 5th, when 34-year-old Rodolfo Morales was stabbed in the neck. Interned in the Central hospital, he died a couple of days later. On the 9th of that month, a young man identified as Hugo Fabián Cruz (18) was stabbed in the middle of a fight, which happened in Tunuyán. The other fact of the police chronicle was recorded in 10, when Nicolás Vargas (22) was shot inside a hairdressing salon in Guaymallén and eleven days later, the victim of Marcos Dominguez (30) shot in Las Heras. In the same way, that is shot, they killed Omar Jofre on the 23rd, in an event that took place in Lujan, to close the month, on the 26th, when Jesús Hernandez was shot dead (18). the interior of the Urundel neighborhood.

An interesting strategic turn-based game in which we participate in a futuristic cold war as chief of espionage, in a duel dull for knowledge, influence, power and control over our rivals all over the world. he years go by and Tropico manages to remain relevant, grow and evolve. The game of construction and management in a banana republic still has that freshness and originality that has kept it in the limelight while other series with more po[CENSORED]rity have fallen. The key to the interest of At the Gates is in its developer: Jon Shafer, who was the chief designer of Civilization V. At the Gates is a 4X based on dark ages, with the effective fall of the Romanian empire and the reordering of power that It occurred in the old continent. Not everyone was satisfied with Fates, with some fans considering that he had gone too deep into the elements that (let's not forget either) had resuscitated the sales of the saga. Three Houses, apart from looking really good, also points to a rebalance of the different aspects that come together in the current version of the great strategy game.

Developer: Chris Sawyer Publisher: MicroProse The pleasures of Transport Tycoon are many. The isometric countryside and urban landscapes are still beautifully tranquil – despite the game’s industrial core, settlements resemble picture-postcard villages and towns rather than smoggy iterations of Dickens’ Coketown. Watching the landscape develop in sync with your ambitions is as rewarding as watching a level 1 Squire become a level 50 Demigod. Business management games come in many flavours, but few offer the same kind of gentle challenges and immediately recognisable environments as Chris Sawyer’s masterpiece. Transporting goods and passengers might seem like a banal occupation, especially appearing alongside future wars and theme parks, but it’s the familiarity of the systems that makes the game so engaging. Notes: The soundtrack, composed by John Broomhall, is a bluesy, jazzy delight, including excerpts from Herbie Hancock’s Cantaloupe Island. The World Editor for the original Transport Tycoon included a Martian tileset. Where can I buy it: OpenTTD is a free, open source remake. A non-freemium mobile port of the original is also available on iOS and Android. What else should I be playing if I like this: Cities in Motion and its sequel, from Cities: Skyline developers Colossal Order, present a more detailed (and occasionally fussy) simulation of public transport. Railroad Tycoon and its most recent reinvention Sid Meier’s Railroads is superficially similar, but doesn’t have the dynamic world of Transport Tycoon, and Ticket to Ride, available in physical form or as a digital adaptation, is a very different take on similar themes.

Mortal Kombat is a video game franchise originally developed by Midway Games' Chicago studio in 1992. The development of the first game was originally based on an idea that Ed Boon and John Tobias had of making a video game starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, but as that idea fell through, a horror-fantasy themed fighting game titled Mortal Kombat was created instead. The original game has spawned many sequels and spin-offs consisting of several action-adventure games, films (animated and live-action with its own sequel), and television series (animated and live-action), as well as a comic book series, a card game and a live-action tour. Along with Street Fighter and Tekken, Mortal Kombat has become one of the most successful fighting franchises in the history of video games and one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time. The series has a reputation for high levels of violent content, including, most notably, its Fatalities (finishing moves, requiring a sequence of button inputs to perform). Controversies surrounding Mortal Kombat, in part, led to the creation of the ESRB video game rating system. Early games in this series were also noted for their realistic digitized sprites and an extensive use of palette swapping to create new characters. Following Midway's bankruptcy, the Mortal Kombat development team was acquired by Warner Bros. and turned into NetherRealm Studios. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment currently owns the rights to the franchise which it rebooted in 2011. The original three games and their updates, Mortal Kombat (1992), Mortal Kombat II (1993), Mortal Kombat 3 (1995), Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (1995), and Mortal Kombat Trilogy (1996), were styled in a 2D fighting fashion. The first two of them were played in the arcades with a joystick and five buttons: high punch, low punch, high kick, low kick, and block. Mortal Kombat 3 and its updates added a sixth "run" button. Characters in the early Mortal Kombat games play virtually identically to one another, with the only major differences being their special moves. Through the 1990s, the developer and publisher Midway Games would keep their single styled fighting moves with four attack buttons for a different array of punches and kicks and blocks. Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance changed this by differentiating characters normal moves and even giving them multiple fighting styles. Beginning in Deadly Alliance and until Mortal Kombat: Deception, the characters would have three fighting styles per character: two unarmed styles, and one weapon style.Few exceptions to this arose in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, such as monster-like boss characters like Moloch and Onaga who would have only one fighting style. While most of the styles used in the series are based on real martial arts, some are entirely fictitious.Goro's fighting styles, for example, are designed to take advantage of the fact that he has four arms. For Armageddon, fighting styles were reduced to a maximum of two per character (generally one hand-to-hand combat style and one weapon style) due to the sheer number of playable characters.Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe dropped the multiple fighting style trend altogether in favor of giving each character a much wider variety of special moves, but some characters still use multiple fighting styles.2011's Mortal Kombat returned to a single 2D fighting plane although characters are rendered in 3D;unlike previous MK games, each of the controller's four attack buttons corresponds to one of the character's limbs, the buttons thus becoming front punch, back punch, front kick and back kick (front and back indicating the limb closer to and farther from the opponent, respectively). Mortal Kombat: Deception and Mortal Kombat: Armageddon feature "Konquest", a free-roaming action-adventure mode that significantly expanded on the single-player experience. Both games also include distinct mini game modes such "Chess Kombat", an action-strategy game similar to Archon. Two other bonus minigames, "Puzzle Kombat" inspired by Puzzle Fighter and "Mortal Kombat" inspired by Mario Kart, feature super deformed versions of Mortal Kombat characters. The games also contain various unlockable content and hidden "cheats".

Why should you buy this? It’s the best version of the most po[CENSORED]r console and has the highest number of high-fidelity games. Sony PlayStation 4 Pro The PS4 Pro is the best version of the PlayStation 4. $400 FROM AMAZON Who’s it for? Everyone. How much will it cost? $400 Why we picked the PlayStation 4 Pro: The PlayStation 4 Pro is the best version of the most po[CENSORED]r game platform available today. With 4K, HDR 10 compatibility, and the PlayStation 4’s exclusive game library, it is currently the best plug-and-play gaming platform. A very large majority of both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One libraries are available on both platforms. Though both platforms have po[CENSORED]r exclusive franchises, the PlayStation 4 (Pro or standard) sees more exclusive games each year. The PS4 also has access to a small number of less well-known indie games and niche titles, such as Japanese role-playing games, that the Xbox One does not. That’s the main reason for our pick. The PS4 has the best games, and the PS4 Pro makes them look as stunning as possible. The Xbox One X is technically even more powerful — but it lacks must-have exclusives. There’s just not as much to play. Picking PlayStation 4 also opens the door for you to pick up PlayStation VR, which, as we’ve noted, is the most affordable premium VR headset available. Microsoft, meanwhile, has confirmed that VR support is not coming to the Xbox One X. While it can be difficult to take advantage of the PlayStation 4 Pro’s advanced features, namely HDR support, the improvements it provides to even unoptimized games make it the most technically impressive way to play the largest number of games on a console. Most major games offer some form of support for the system, whether it be improved framerate, 4K resolution, HDR support, or all three.

With the latest entry in the Halo franchise garnering rave reviews, and talk of a long-awaited TV series finally in the offing, there’s never been a better time to call yourself a shotgun-loving, Covenant-crushing space marine supreme. Well, unless you’re a PC gamer, that is. Despite making a pair of appearances on the computer format some 6-plus years ago, Microsoft’s franchise favorite has yet to return to desktop duty in the wake of the much-delayed Halo 2 Vista. Back in March, Eurogamer reported on an interesting find in the annals of an AMD Beta driver, detailing what appeared to be an entry for Halo 3 PC. This telltale listing prompted plenty of wild speculation online as well as a petition to release the much-anticipated title from captivity. It all proved for naught however as Microsoft intervened to squash the rumor later that same month, stating “we currently do not have plans to release any Halo titles on Steam, nor do we currently have plans to release a PC version of Halo”. With that, all hopes of a PC-centric comeback were kiboshed — until today. According to reports appearing online over the past 24 hours, a mix up involving Microsoft and the Korean ratings board has resulted in the accidental outing of Halo’s latest title: ‘Bootcamp’. Whilst little is yet known about the entry, statements from the game’s publisher have been unusually forthcoming in confirming the title’s existence as well as its ties, or lack thereof, to the second Halo trilogy. So what might this latest adventure entail? Well, the word ‘Bootcamp’ appears often in the expanded Halo universe; most commonly in connection with the Master Chief John 117’s superhuman training school. This black ops base, first glimpsed in the Eric Nylund novel Halo: Fall of Reach, fostered the famous Spartan program that gave birth to the Chief as well some as his less fortunate cohorts. Taking place in a time before the Covenant threat, recruits hone their skills against one another through a series of unrelenting physical tests, a prospect not entirely unfamiliar to fans of Halo’s multiplayer. A description of Boot Camp also surfaced, and it appear to be an entirely new adventure that’s played from a third-person perspective. This info comes from the NeoGAF page that originally pieced together the Halo Bootcamp news, and it sounds like gamers will be in for a very different type of experience this time around. “‘HALO’ AS A THIRD-PERSON POINT OF VIEW BASED ON THE WORLDVIEW OF THE MISSION IS GOING TO BE EXECUTING AN ACTION GAME OF WATER.” “MINOR VIOLENCE REPRESENTATION (EXPRESSED AS MERE WEAPONRY, ATTACKS AND A THIRD-PERSON POINT-OF-BLOOD DESCRIPTION).” It’s impossible to tell who’s developing this title, although Black Tusk Studios is certainly a legitimate possibility. Maybe E3 will clear things up, but it’s not absurd to imagine that the game will be hitting the Xbox 360 or Xbox One as well. Only time will reveal Bootcamp’s true nature, so until then, let the Spartan-fueled speculation begin.

The launch of Mortal Kombat X in consoles and PC came with a related mobile game, simply titled Mortal Kombat X Mobile. Since 2015, it has not stopped updating itself with characters and costumes to keep alive, and it seems that it will continue to be that way after Mortal Kombat 11 goes on sale. Instead of publishing a "Mortal Kombat 11 Mobile", Netherrealm will simply continue to expand the current mobile game.As a result of this move, which has been announced through Facebook, Mortal Kombat X Mobile changes its name and will now be known as Mortal Kombat, without further complication. This is not particularly weird: in fact, it is the third videogame with this name, after the original arcade and the 'reboot' he had in 2010.Mortal Kombat 11 will hit PC, PS4 and Xbox One on April 23. There is also a version for Switch on the way, although it is suspected that it may be delayed until May. In a matter of days, we will have more information about MK11, including history, characters and more.

The Neverending Story. Microsoft has been forced to remove for the umpteenth time a cumulative update of Windows 10 for causing problems to some of the users who installed it. In this case, the affected users were experiencing blue screens after installing patch KB4467682. Patch KB4467682 generates blue screens on some computers The failure to be concentrating on the users that have a Surface Book 2 that have installed April 2018 Update and have received the patch KB4467682. Since Microsoft have recognized the failure, but currently do not know what is the pattern that generates the blue screen, so they are not able to replicate it to find a solution. Therefore, Microsoft has been forced to withdraw the update, and recommends doing so until they find a solution. This patch fixed numerous failures that took place in the last version of the operative system, including the one that prevented to establish a program by defect to open certain type of files. In the words of the company, after installing this patch, some users may encounter a blue or black screen with an error code that says "System thread exception not handled". The company has stopped delivering this update through Windows Update, and they say they will have a solution available for next week, probably on Tuesday. Uninstalling that patch returns some problems to the system, but it will be solved next week The problem is that those who uninstall this update again encounter other problems, such as not being able to set default programs for certain types of files, or not being able to enter the operating system using Windows Hello for elements such as the fingerprint reader or camera . As we can see, updating Windows 10 is becoming an authentic roller coaster. Since April 2018 Update, Microsoft has already released more than a dozen updates and patches that have generated some type of problem in the computers of the users. When they fix one, they break another one without wanting to, and so they fix and introduce new flaws. This is the problem we discussed recently of seeing Windows 10 as a service, instead of being a solid operating system with a single annual update like Apple does with macOS. It is also important to remember that Windows 10 is a paid operating system, and the company is not able to make it 100% stable; even with devices that are themselves, as is the case with Surface Book 2.

Why it matters: Great news for anyone who likes to pack a ton of super-high resolutions photos, along with 4K/8K videos, onto their SD cards. At CES, Lexar has just announced the first 1TB SDXC memory card that you can now buy. Back in 2016, SanDisk unveiled a prototype SDXC card that also came with a one terabyte capacity, but a final commercial product never arrived. Now, it’s been beaten to the punch by Lexar’s Professional 633x line of SDHC and SDXC UHS-I cards, which have capacities ranging from 16GB up to 1TB. “Almost fifteen years ago, Lexar announced a 16GB SD card,” Lexar Senior Marketing Manager Joey Lopez said in a statement. “Today we are excited to announced 1TB of storage capacity in the same convenient form factor.” The highest-capacity card’s specs claim it has read speeds of up to 95MB/s and write speeds of 70MB/s, though its V30/U3 rating suggests we can expect sustained performance closer to 30MB/s. Back in 2017, Micron, Lexar’s then parent company, announced it was discontinuing the Lexar media storage business. But last August saw the brand re-introduced almost a year after being acquired by Chinese flash storage maker Longsys. Not surprisingly, the 1TB card doesn’t come cheap. Lexar lists the price at $499, though B&H has it available to order for $399.99, which is still $100 more than buying two 512GB SD cards. While SanDisk might have missed out on the first commercial 1TB SD card, the company just revealed a prototype 4TB thumb drive at CES featuring a USB Type-C interface. Hopefully, this is one product it will eventually launch.

We tested the Mercedes-Benz X-Class 350d: the most refined and powerful pick-up on the market After having discovered the new Mercedes-Benz X-Class right now just over a year ago, the firm's star reinforces its offer with a model that marks the innate character of the German house in the pick-up segment. While the outside is the same work and leisure vehicle with the luxurious touch of Mercedes-Benz, the Class X 350d 4MATIC receives the changes that many of the loyal customers were waiting for, with even more premium finishes but with an engine 3.0-liter V6 and a 100% own Stuttgart transmission. Class X 350d: the best interior of the segment Mercedes-Benz has sought again the alliance with Renault / Nissan to embark on a segment unknown to them. The Class X takes as a starting point the new Nissan Navara or Renault Alaskan to debut among the pick-up, but looking for less professional users and more focused on leisure, adventurers or fans of the countryside with greater purchasing power than those who decide on the Japanese or French brands. To achieve this, the exterior design of the Class X has tried to distance itself to the maximum of the Navara. Except for obvious areas such as the shape of the windows or other recognizable elements, the aesthetic section of the Class X adapts to the lines marked by the other models of the brand. The large frontal star dominates a large grill with lighthouses that are very familiar and soft lines. The rear lights with LED technology and the alloy wheels of 17 and 18 inches (19 "in option) have just finished a set with a lot of flavor to Mercedes-Benz. We jump inside the first pick-up of the German house and we find, again, with the language of Mercedes-Benz. A large touch screen presides over the dashboard on four aerators and a metal molding that replicates the rest of the cabin. The surfaces are pleasant to the touch with some elements upholstered in imitation leather and, those that are not, are hard textured plastic with good finishes. In the driver's seat the multifunction steering wheel is of content size upholstered in leather as the shift knob and the handbrake lever. After it, the cams of the automatic change (of series) are hidden and a control panel with double analogue dial escorted a digital screen for the information of the trip and the vehicle. It is true that the interior earns many integers with respect to its Navara and Alaskan cousins, especially in the infotainment system used, but in fact it is not a cabin that is particularly bright compared to a tourist. At the end of the day the Class X is a country car and it is logical the absence of more padded panels in favor of hard plastic. The tapestries are of quality and between the front seats the control of traditional control of the passenger cars of Mercedes-Benz makes the difference with their counterparts. The rear seats are typical of a pick-up, fair but not too comfortable. A unique mechanical combination in the pick-up segment Mercedes Benz Class X 350d 2019 005 Under the body, hidden at a first glance, is the largest battery of distinctions. The differentiation that Mercedes-Benz has sought with respect to its direct competition is in the behavior. The frame is still the same chassis of stringers but with new features: the rear axle of rigid axle leaves the leaf springs and entrusts its suspension to a multibrazo scheme with springs, the center of gravity is located 20 mm lower and is 7 cm wider than tracks on both axes. With these changes the Class X tries to approximate the ride comfort of its cars to the pick-up segment, and the truth is that it does. It feels good on the road and behaves better than the same vehicle if it was equipped with leaf springs and the highest weight. It circulates very well planted on the asphalt. Mercedes Benz Class X 350d 2019 007 In the engine of the Mercedes-Benz Class X 350d is the biggest claim of this pick-up. The diesel engine of six cylinders in uve and 3.0 liters (2.987 cubic centimeters for precision) turbocharged is exactly the same as that used in other models of the signature of the star as the GLE Coupé, also associated with the transmission 7G- TRONIC and 4MATIC all-wheel drive and forming an easily recognizable package. IN MOTORPASSION 800 CV and 50 liters of displacement for 200 km / h. That's how the Bugatti trains were The behavior is markedly superior to that of the mechanics shared with Nissan. The 258 HP and 550 Nm of torque (as powerful as the Volkswagen Amarok 3.0 TDI V6) offer a blunt delivery but with an excellent touch on the road, with immediate response and a behavior of the gearbox reasonably good for its purpose. If we must highlight one thing about this combination, it is its finesse, a perception that will be particularly appreciated by Mercedes-Benz customers. Mercedes Benz Class X 350d 2019 019 At its controls the Class X is perceived with a firmness and comfort a point above the average of the segment. In addition to the set-up of the chassis, the soundproofing work carried out in Germany is also perceived to create a pleasant environment for the occupants. The delivery of the engine is very full from below and with plenty of torque throughout the useful band, leaving on the road its characteristic hoarse sound. At the level of character, the Dynamic Select electronics and its five driving modes (Eco, Comfort, Sport, Manual and Offroad) determine the character of the Class X. The variations act on the response of the accelerator, the behavior of the gearbox and the regulation of driving aids and are complemented with three modes of permanent 4x4 transmission: 4MAT, 4H and 4L. Mercedes Benz Class X 350d 2019 017 As the Class X is ready to abandon the road we let ourselves be convinced, we gear the 4H and Offroad modes, predisposing the electronic aids to anticipate their action on complicated circumstances and we throw ourselves into the mud. It is a pick-up from a line of competent off-roaders, so the Mercedes-Benz X-Class develops with solvency when the terrain begins to break under the wheels maintaining a high dose of comfort. Irregularities are noted and the address transmits information to the driver, but Mercedes-Benz Class X 350d: pick-up, but skimming the luxury Mercedes Benz Class X 350d 2019 010 The result is a pick-up that conserves its load capacity of up to 1 Tm of weight and a bed where it fits a Europalet but with a smoother behavior, more similar to that of a tourist. It is true that loaded to the brim, the spring suspension is more effective, but for use mainly in a vacuum or low load the suspension of the Class X is more comfortable on asphalt and equally competent off-road. Technology is also a key point of the Class X 350d and is that it incorporates serial elements such as keyless entry and start, hill start assistant, LED lighting, 360º parking assistant, Thermotronic or electrically adjustable seats. Mercedes Benz Class X 350d 2019 020 Safety has also been reinforced with Active Brake Assist, seven airbags, ESP with stability control

Natalie d’Arbeloff is a full-time working artist – but it is only now, in her 90th year, that she has decided to openly admit her age. Why? Because of the patronising preconceptions about getting old For the past 30 years, I have avoided mentioning my date of birth except when bureaucratically, medically or legally required to do so. In all social interactions, I avoid the subject. If I am asked directly why I won’t say how old I am, my default answer is: vanity. It is the truth, and why not? I have reasons to be vain. I have been extremely fortunate with my genes; my mother and father lived until they were 97 and 101, respectively. I’m still a full-time working artist, still exploring, discovering and getting better and better every other day. I don’t feel, think, or look my age. But this year, on my birthday in August, I will reach a particularly inadmissible number, therefore I have decided it is time to conquer my fear of admitting “the number”. I am finally ready to liberate myself – here goes ... On 7 August 2019, I will be 90. I was born in 1929, the year of the Wall Street crash, which ushered in the Great Depression. Keen to list for this piece some lesser known and less depressing events to commemorate my birth in Paris, I googled the date. But please don’t be amazed that a nearly-90-year-old uses google as a verb and understands the internet. It is normal if they have been that sort of person all their life. True, I don’t know any other 89½-year-olds, but I’m fairly sure there are thousands out there at this very moment, thinking deep and/or funny thoughts, writing and painting, building and dancing, gazing at the stars and generally contributing to the world. I doubt I would have clung so stubbornly to this phobia of admitting my age if patronising preconceptions about ageing didn’t exist. If I am at a party and someone asks “Are you still working?”, I want to punch them in the face. (I don’t, of course, because I’m only 4ft 11in, so I can’t reach.) But such questions are stereotypical of people’s perception of age. I will admit to a few age-related physical glitches. For instance, I use hearing aids, but only if I am with people who mumble. (Why can’t people speak consonants clearly?) And I’ve got only eight of my own teeth left. In fact, the possibility that I might forget to put the synthetics back in before going out – along with the probability of a man-made apocalypse – is why I sometimes worry about the future. There is also my right hip. It began, absolutely unacceptably, to go a bit wonky a few months ago. This is at the top of my list of issues to resolve this year, along with finding someone to give me a major retrospective exhibition before it is too late. For me, being a certain age doesn’t feel as if it is set in stone – why not be several ages at once? I chose art as a career very early on and the insecurities of the profession, together with its incomparable joys, have no doubt contributed to my indifference towards ageing. Artists who are in it for the long haul are often age-indifferent, even if their bodies aren’t. The aged Matisse created his magnificent cutouts from his sick-bed. We are all different, from the moment we are born until the moment we die, and the eighth or 80th – or any other – year of my life was not the same as yours. Identity is fluid enough to be exempt from categorisation, so why should people who have accumulated a large quantity of years be perceived as having uniform characteristics? Individuality does not drop off automatically, like old skin, when we reach a certain number. Maybe it is because I started writing a diary when I was nine that I see my life as a film that I can stop and examine at any point. It also hasn’t been a still life and perhaps my refusal to see myself defined by such a static word as “old” has something to do with the fact that, since the age of about six, I was on the move. My father, a restless, enterprising Russian émigré, transported my mother, a Parisian, my older sister and me, and later on our much younger brother, from Paris to Paraguay, Brazil, the United States, Italy, England etc, for varying periods of time. I have never felt that I had a fixed home, even though I have lived in England since 1963. I do salute all the brave, bold age-admitters. But I must confess that the fear of becoming invisible, in a sexual sense, played a major part in my refusal to admit my age. People may say sexual invisibility happens to all of us, sooner or later; that’s life, biology, so what? And I certainly don’t want to pretend to be physically young. But it seemed perfectly rational to me that the sexy buzz that accompanied me all my life would still be there as long as I didn’t mention my age. My father, even when he was nearly 100, believed in the same kind of magical unrealism. If he met a neighbour, a sprightly 70-year-old, say, he would tell us: “I saw that Mr X – he’s such a starichok!” (“little old man” in Russian). Sacha literally did not see himself or Blanche, my mother, as old. Blanche herself began to paint at 94, climbed six flights of stairs every week to attend an art class and had her first and last solo exhibition at 96. Whether my parents’ misperception of themselves contributed to their longevity is anyone’s guess. Some people are starichoks. Some refuse to be. There are no rules in age, only exceptions. My only advice is: be the exception. So this “little old lady” has made her confession. But you still haven’t got my number.

"If tonight, (the president) Maduro does not commit to organize presidential elections, then France will consider Juan Guaidó legitimate in his place," said France's Minister of European Affairs, Nathalie Loiseau. France said it would recognize Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó as interim ruler if Nicolás Maduro does not announce Sunday night that there will be presidential elections. "If tonight, (the president) Maduro does not commit to organize presidential elections, then France will consider Juan Guaidó legitimate in his place and we will consider him as interim president until legitimate elections are held in Venezuela," said the Minister of European Affairs. from France, Nathalie Loiseau, to the LCI television. The French minister rejected Maduro's proposal to hold a parliamentary election and called it a "farce."

The Stellaris: Megacorp expansion came out a week ago and Fraser seemed to like it quite a bit, if you can call being appalled by the bottomless depths of your own rapacious corporate excesses "liking it," and I guess he does. Anyway, it turns out that it will be game director Martin Anward's last bit of work on the game, as he announced yesterday that he's moving on to something else. The good news is that he's leaving Stellaris, but not Paradox. "This move has been planned since a long time back, and I am still very much staying at Paradox Development Studio as a Game Director, I am just moving over to another, secret project," he wrote on Twitter. "I will continue to host the Stellaris dev-clash streams until at least the end of the current season, and I'm sure you'll continue seeing more from me on other streams and Paradox events." Anward gave no hint as to what he's moving on to (unless it's something so cryptic and deeply buried that only the most hardcore of Paradox fans might pick on up it), nor did Paradox itself, although responses to this tweet indicate that quite a few fans are hoping for a Victoria 3 announcement.

Monster Hunter: World[a] is an action role-playing game developed and published by Capcom. A part of the Monster Hunter series, it was released worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in January 2018, with a Microsoft Windows version in August 2018. In the game, the player takes the role of a Hunter, tasked to hunt down and either kill or trap monsters that roam in one of several environmental spaces. If successful, the player is rewarded through loot consisting of parts from the monster and other elements that are used to craft weapons and armor, amongst other equipment. The game's core loop has the player crafting appropriate gear to be able to hunt down more difficult monsters, which in turn provide parts that lead to more powerful gear. Players may hunt alone, or can hunt in cooperative groups of up to four players via the game's online services. Announced at E3 2017, Monster Hunter: World adopts the series' standard formulas from its older home console roots and recent handheld games to take advantage of the higher processing power provided by modern consoles and computers. Changes made in Monster Hunter: World include creating environmental spaces that are fully connected and removing the "zones" that were necessary for the PlayStation 2 and handheld games, more advanced monster artificial intelligence and physics to create seemingly living ecosystems that could be taken advantage of during hunts, a more persistent cooperative multiplayer experience, and a refinement of the game's user interface, menu systems, and tutorials to help with bringing new players into the series. These changes led Capcom to plan for the game's simultaneous release across both Japan and Western markets, since Monster Hunter as a series has generally languished in the West compared to Japan partially due to disparate release schedules. Capcom also opted to support online play between these different geographic regions for similar reasons. The delay for the Windows release was attributed to Capcom seeking to make sure its first foray into the Windows market was optimized for players on computers. Monster Hunter: World received critical acclaim upon release, with critics praising how Capcom was able to make the game more accessible to new players and to Western markets, without detracting from the series' core gameplay elements and enjoyable difficulty, and fully taking advantage of the computational capacity of modern consoles to create living ecosystems. Within a few weeks of release, the game became the fastest-selling game in Capcom's history. It eventually became their best-selling game, with over ten million copies shipped by August 2018.

Developed by id software, the studio that pioneered the first-person shooter genre and created multiplayer Deathmatch, DOOM returns as a brutally fun and challenging modern-day shooter experience. Relentless demons, impossibly destructive guns, and fast, fluid movement provide the foundation for intense, first-person combat – whether you’re obliterating demon hordes through the depths of Hell in the single-player campaign, or competing against your friends in numerous multiplayer modes. Expand your gameplay experience using DOOM SnapMap game editor to easily create, play, and share your content with the world. STORY: You’ve come here for a reason. The Union Aerospace Corporation’s massive research facility on Mars is overwhelmed by fierce and powerful demons, and only one person stands between their world and ours. As the lone DOOM Marine, you’ve been activated to do one thing – kill them all. Doom will have "badass demons, big effing guns, and moving really fast" as key principles, according to id Software executive producer Marty Stratton. The game will feature a large arsenal of weapons, which can be collected and freely switched by players throughout the game. Many classic weapons, including the super shotgun and BFG 9000, will make a return. In addition, melee weapons such as the chainsaw, which can cut enemies in half, are also featured. Many enemies from the original games like the Revenant, Mancubus, andCyberdemon return as well, some of them redesigned. As the combat system of the game puts emphasis on momentum and speed, the game allows players to perform movements like sprinting and double-jumping. A combat system known as "push forward combat" is featured, which discourages players from taking cover behind obstacles or resting to regain health also known as a health-regeneration system. Players instead collect health and armour pick-ups scattered throughout levels, or kill enemies to regain health. A new mechanic introduced in Doom is the melee execution system. It allows players to perform a melee-takedown similar to that of brutal doom when players deal enough damage to enemies. Enemies available for melee-takedown will be highlighted.id Software states that Dooms campaign will be more than 13 hours long. The game's multiplayer is being developed in conjunction with Certain Affinity.Several multiplayer modes, such as traditional four-player deathmatch, domination, freeze tag, and clan arena, are included in the game.Players can also use power-ups and teleporters in a multiplayer match. Players can pick-up a pentagram, one of the powerups featured, to transform into and fight as one of the monsters featured in the game. The game will also include a built-in tool titled "Doom SnapMap" which allows players to construct custom maps, create new game modes and share them with the online community. At launch, the game features 9 maps.
