Team Fortress 2 (TF2) is a team-based multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed and published by Valve Corporation. It is the sequel to the 1996 mod Team Fortress for Quake and its 1999 remake, Team Fortress Classic. It was released as part of the video game bundle The Orange Box in October 2007 for Microsoft Windows and the Xbox 360.A PlayStation 3 version followed in December 2007.The game was released for Windows as a standalone entry in April 2008 and was updated to support OS X in June 2010 and Linux in February 2013. It is distributed online through Valve's digital retailer Steam, with retail distribution being handled by Electronic Arts. In Team Fortress 2, players join one of two teams comprising nine character classes, battling in a variety of game modes including capture the flag and king of the hill. The development is led by John Cook and Robin Walker, creators of the original Team Fortress. Announced in 1998, the game once had more realistic, militaristic visuals and gameplay, but this changed over the protracted nine-year development. After Valve released no information for six years, Team Fortress 2 regularly featured in Wired News' annual vaporware list among other ignominies. The finished Team Fortress 2 has cartoon-like visuals influenced by the art of J. C. Leyendecker, Dean Cornwell, and Norman Rockwell, and uses Valve's Source game engine. Team Fortress 2 received critical acclaim for its art direction, gameplay, humor, and use of character in a multiplayer-only game.Valve continues to release new content, including maps, items, and game modes, as well as community-made updates and contributed content. In June 2011, it became free-to-play, supported by microtransactions for in-game cosmetics. A 'drop system' was also added and refined, allowing free-to-play users to periodically receive game equipment and items by use of a random number generator. Though the game had an unofficial competitive scene for many years, support for official competitive play through ranked matchmaking and an overhauled casual experience was added in July 2016. Team Fortress 2 has similar gameplay to previous releases in the series due to its focus on two opposing teams competing for a combat-based objective. In the game's fiction, the teams are composed of mercenaries hired by two feuding brothers to protect the company assets belonging to one brother while trying to destroy those of the other; the teams are thus represented by the names of these companies: Reliable Excavation & Demolition (RED) and Builders League United (BLU). Players can choose to play as one of nine character classes in these teams, each with his own unique strengths, weaknesses, and weapons. In order to accomplish objectives efficiently, a balance of these classes is required due to how these strengths and weaknesses interact with each other in a team-based environment. Although the abilities of a number of classes have changed from earlier Team Fortress incarnations, the basic elements of each class have remained, that being one primary weapon, one secondary weapon, and one melee weapon. The game was released with six official maps, although over 100 maps have since been included in subsequent updates, including competitive remakes of older maps and community-assembled maps. When players join a level for the first time, an introductory video shows how to complete its objectives. During matches, the "Administrator", a woman voiced by Ellen McLain, announces various game events over loudspeakers. The player limit is 16 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.On the PC, in 2008 Valve updated the game to include a server variable that allows up to 32 players. Team Fortress 2 is the first of Valve's multiplayer games to provide detailed statistics for individual players. They include: time spent playing as each class, most points obtained, and the most captures or objectives achieved in a single life. Persistent statistics tell the player how he or she is improving in relation to these statistics, such as if a player comes close to his or her record for the damage inflicted in a round.Team Fortress 2 also features numerous "achievements" for carrying out certain tasks, such as scoring a certain number of kills or completing a round within a certain time. New sets of class-specific achievements have been added in updates, which add new abilities and weapons to each class once unlocked by the player. This unlockable system has since been expanded into a random-chance system, where the player can also obtain the items simply by playing the game.

Almost nobody remembers that the current Audi R8 had an electric version in its first year of life. The accounts did not come out, hence the project was abandoned prematurely. But beware, that because the first shot has not hit the target does not mean that Audi Sport, the sports subsidiary of the German brand, abandon the idea. In fact, it has announced the launch of a fully electric sports car in 2020. They have not confirmed whether it will be a sedan, a coupe, a compact or an SUV coupe ... (but we bet that it will be something similar to the Audi e-tron Sportback Concept ).

he parents of the woman who died in the Wiltshire Novichok poisonings have said they have concerns about why former spy Sergei Skripal was settled in Salisbury. Stan and Caroline Sturgess, whose daughter Dawn died in the months after the nerve agent attack on Mr Skripal and his daughter Yulia, spoke of unanswered questions about the case and said they were seeking "justice". The Russian state is alleged to have poisoned Mr Skripal with Novichok hidden in a perfume bottle on March 4 last year in Salisbury, with Charlie Rowley and Ms Sturgess falling ill months later in nearby Amesbury after coming into contact with the same nerve agent. Mr Sturgess, a retired bricklayer, told The Guardian: "I want justice from our own Government. What are they hiding? I don't think they have given us all the facts. "If anyone, I blame the Government for putting Skripal in Salisbury. "If they'd targeted Dawn specifically, it would be different. I don't care if they (the alleged attackers of the Skripals) are arrested or put in prison." Of Mr Skripal, he added: "I don't know where Skripal is and I don't know what I'd do if I met him. He's still got his daughter." Sergei and Yulia Skripal photographed having a meal Of the Skripals, Mrs Sturgess, a retired civil servant, told the paper: "It's sad they ended up in a coma but they weren't the true victims. (Skripal) took risks - he must have known there was a chance people were still after him." Both Mr Skripal and his daughter were critically ill after the alleged assassination attempt in which the nerve agent had been sprayed on a door handle at their home. Detective Sergeant Nick Bailey, who attended the scene, also needed hospital treatment and previously said he was "petrified" by the experience. He told Panorama last November: "I didn't understand how it had happened, scared because it's the fear of the unknown because it's such a dangerous thing to have in your system. Knowing how the other two (the Skripals) were or how badly they'd been affected by it, I was petrified." Last September, Scotland Yard and the Crown Prosecution Service said there was sufficient evidence to charge two Russian nationals named as Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov with offences including conspiracy to murder over the Salisbury nerve agent attack. It was subsequently reported by Bellingcat that Mr Boshirov was actually highly-decorated Colonel Anatoliy Chepiga, and Mr Petrov was a military doctor called Alexander Yevgenyevich Mishkin. Both men told Russian state-funded news channel RT they travelled to the "wonderful" city in Wiltshire to see Stonehenge and Old Sarum after recommendations from friends. Russian president Vladimir Putin has previously denied the men identified by the UK were responsible for the attack. The Government has been contacted for comment.

Flashpoint, the first expansion for wonkily-explained, slow-burn stomp-o-strategy gem BattleTech, does exactly what I wanted it to: gives me a cast-iron reason to keep playing indefinitely. There’s an inherent muteness to Flashpoint, from the easily-forgotten name onwards. But this is BattleTech, in fairness. For all that it stars 100-ton mechs knocking seven bells out of each other, it avoids flash and verve and, frankly, most of the colour spectrum. Mud-brown stoicism: that’s BattleTech.Where an XCOM or Command & Conquer expansion invariably involves springing ever-more outlandish new units onto the battlefield, the wildest Flashpoint gets in that regard is a new Mech with an axe for a hand. I mean, it looks pretty much the same as a dozen other Mechs, but you can sort of see there’s an axe there if you zoom in close enough. Unfortunately, said axe does not, in truth, rend steel like a hot, cow-sized knife through 50-storey butter, but instead just deals a chunk more melee damage. The Hatchetman is, however, extremely, extremely useful if you know what you’re doing. Same goes for the other two newbies, the Crab and the Cyclops; there’s almost nothing to seize upon in terms of breathless celebration, but they make for solid additions to the right kind of squad. C’est BattleTech. What BattleTech needed, far more than a few more robo-tanks, was remixing. The verbose story mode has its moments, but especially second (or more) time around it can be a drag – particularly because your supposedly freelance mercenary troupe is locked into doing the bidding of unelected royalty, rather than truly going their own way. The post-plot endgame shakes off these shackles, but soon becomes a futile-feeling loop of cyclic, samey missions. Flashpoint fixes that handily. Flashpoint makes me feel like the leader of a freelance, spacefaring mercenary outfit, and that fits BattleTech like an enormous iron glove. There are several ways to wade into the titular Flashpoints – short strings of missions, each with their own self-contained but more impactful plot, characters and decisions – but for me they’ve made most sense in the endgame.I’m by now very attached to my high-level pilots and assortment of Very Big Lads, so starting over with weaklings and the slow wars of attrition that would mean hasn’t much appealed. But now I get to take my Very Big Lads off on new mini-adventures, with the dual benefits of stories that click better thanks to brevity (world-building through wading into character-led conflicts rather than history lessons) and a brand new structure to justify the ongoing Gotta Salvage ‘Em All metagame. Taking on a Flashpoint – optional missions which pop up irregularly on the starmap – means settling down for a chain of battles, in which you generally cannot repair damaged Mechs or heal wounded Mechwarriors between bouts. If you’ve got a lengthy roster of Very Big Lads this isn’t necessarily a huge problem, but it definitely serves to ratchet up the tension and stop the next mission feeling quite so run of the mill. The stories, meanwhile, offer a few on-the-spot decisions, such as whether to try and second-guess an ambush, or to listen to the words of a prisoner you’ve been sternly warned not to listen to the words of. This does take the edge off seeing what are the same few mission types (eradicate/survive/escort) on the same few types of planet (though we do get a new, typically muted ‘tropical’ biome). These latter are what I most want to see mixed-up in future DLC, but for now a Flashpoint adds both a new sense of purpose and the satisfaction of some really big rewards if you complete the whole thing. It also subtly transforms the nature of long-term Battletech play. Where before I might come back after a couple of months off, play a mission or two until I got a new Mech, now I get a much deeper sense of completion from an evening or two back with my ‘lance. ‘I saved Brian Bandit-King from those other bandits!’ is inherently more meaningful than ‘I got a new thing!’The new characters introduced for Flashpoints – and ushered away afterwards, before they can become tedious – have more presence than your own crew, defined as they are by whichever sticky situation they’re in, rather than whatever exposition or advice they have for you. If there’s ever a BattleTech 2, Flashpoint throws up several good signposts about the direction it should take. As does a new ‘Career’ mode, free to any BattleTech owner, Flashpointed or not, as part of a patch, which offers plot-free, iron-man Meching for a steelier, less didactic challenge. This does work particularly well if you do own Flashpoint, however, as you get the Flashpoint mini-stories in there – otherwise it’s just random missions.(The patch also rejiggers Mechwarrior skills in well-judged ways – you’ll need to respec an old crew, but it’s all to the good. Done right, a Very Big Lad becomes less of a glass cannon, or you can have a get-out-overheating-jail-free card that generally reduces the in-mission maintenance grind). Flashpoint is fine expansion in terms of re-engineering BattleTech for extended play, then – far better than kicking us into another pit of mega-story or necessitating a new beginning. Long-term, I’d love to see more vibrancy from BattleTech – wilder planets, more colourful mechs and special attacks, grimier, punchier characters – but I suspect only the latter is compatible with this decades-old setting. Already though, a Flashpoint-augmented BattleTech is a significantly leaner and more adaptable machine than the lumbering brute of launch.

Sinterklaas (Dutch pronunciation) or Sint-Nicolaas (Dutch pronunciation (About this sound listen)) is a legendary figure based on Saint Nicholas, patron saint of children. Other names for the figure include De Sint ("The Saint"), De Goede Sint ("The Good Saint"), and De Goedheiligman ("The Good Holy Man") in Dutch; Saint Nicolas in French; Sinterklaas in West Frisian; Sinterklaos in Limburgs; Saint-Nikolai in West Flemish; and Kleeschen and Zinniklos in Luxembourgish. The feast of Sinterklaas celebrates the name day of Saint Nicholas on 6 December. The feast is celebrated annually with the giving of gifts on St. Nicholas' Eve (5 December) in the Netherlands and on the morning of 6 December, Saint Nicholas Day, in Belgium, Luxembourg and northern France (French Flanders, Lorraine and Artois). The tradition is also celebrated in territories of the former Dutch Empire, including Curaçao and Suriname. Sinterklaas is the primary source of the po[CENSORED]r Christmas icon of Santa Claus. Sinterklaas Sinterklaas is based on the historical figure of Saint Nicholas (270–343), a Greek bishop of Myra in present-day Turkey. He is depicted as an elderly, stately and serious man with white hair and a long, full beard. He wears a long red cape or chasuble over a traditional white bishop's alb and sometimes red stola, dons a red mitre and ruby ring, and holds a gold-coloured crosier, a long ceremonial shepherd's staff with a fancy curled top. He traditionally rides a white horse. In the Netherlands, the horse is called Amerigo, and in Belgium, it is named Slecht weer vandaag, meaning "bad weather today" or Mooi weer vandaag . Sinterklaas carries a big, red book in which is written whether each child has been good or naughty in the past year. Zwarte Piet Sinterklaas is assisted by Zwarte Piet ("Black Pete"), a helper in colourful Moorish dress and with blackface. Zwarte Piet first appeared in print as the nameless servant of Saint Nicholas in Sint-Nikolaas en zijn knecht ("St. Nicholas and His Servant/Apprentice"), published in 1850 by Amsterdam schoolteacher Jan Schenkman; however, the tradition appears to date back at least as far as the early 19th Century.Zwarte Piet's colourful dress is based on 16th-century noble attire, with a ruff (lace collar) and a feathered cap. He is typically depicted carrying a bag which contains candy for the children, which they toss around, a tradition supposedly originating in the story of Saint Nicholas saving three young girls from prostitution by tossing golden coins through their window at night to pay their dowries. Traditionally, he would also carry a birch rod (Dutch: roe), a chimney sweep's broom made of willow branches, used to spank children who had been naughty. Some of the older Sinterklaas songs make mention of naughty children being put in Zwarte Piet's bag and being taken back to Spain. This part of the legend refers to the times that the Moors raided the European coasts, and as far as Iceland, to abduct the local people into slavery. This quality can be found in other companions of Saint Nicholas such as Krampus and Père Fouettard. In modern versions of the Sinterklaas feast, however, Zwarte Piet no longer carries the roe and children are no longer told that they will be taken back to Spain in Zwarte Piet's bag if they have been naughty. Over the years many stories have been added, and Zwarte Piet has developed from a rather unintelligent helper into a valuable assistant to the absent-minded saint. In modern adaptations for television, Sinterklaas has developed a Zwarte Piet for every function, such as a head Piet (Hoofdpiet), a navigation Piet (Wegwijspiet) to navigate the steamboat from Spain to the Netherlands, a gift-wrapping Piet (Pakjes Piet) to wrap all the gifts, and an acrobatic Piet to climb roofs and chimneys Traditionally Zwarte Piet's face is said to be black because he is a Moor from Spain.Today, some prefer to say that his face is blackened with soot because he has to climb through chimneys to deliver gifts for Sinterklaas. The figure of Zwarte Piet is considered by some to be racist. Accordingly, the traditions surrounding the holiday of Sinterklaas have been the subject of numerous editorials, debates, documentaries, protests and even violent clashes at festivals. Some large cities and television channels now only display Zwarte Piet characters with some soot marks on the face rather than full blackface, so-called roetveegpieten or schoorsteenpieten ("chimney Petes"). Nevertheless, both Zwarte Piet and the holiday remain po[CENSORED]r in the Netherlands. In a 2013 survey, 92% of the Dutch public did not perceive Zwarte Piet as racist or associate him with slavery, and 91% were opposed to altering the character's appearance. In a similar survey in similar survey in 2018, between 80 and 88% of the Dutch public did not perceive Zwarte Piet as racist, and between 41 and 54% were happy with the character's modernized appearance (a mix of roetveegpieten and blackface).

Review Battlefield V, also known as Battlefield 5, is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. Battlefield V is the sixteenth installment in the Battlefield series. It will be released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 20, 2018. The game will continue on from its precursor Battlefield 1 by focusing on World War II. Gameplay Battlefield V will focus extensively on party-based features and mechanics, scarcity of resources, and removing "abstractions" from game mechanics to increase realism.[2] There will be an expanded focus on player customization through the new Company system, where players will be able to create multiple characters with various cosmetic and weapon options. Cosmetic items, and currency used to purchase others, will be earned by completing in-game objectives.[3][2][4] The game will feature several new multiplayer modes, including the "continuous" campaign mode "Tides of War", "Firestorm", and "Grand Operations". The Grand Operations mode is an expansion of the "Operations" mode introduced in Battlefield 1, which focuses on matches taking place across multiple stages to simulate a campaign from the war. In Grand Operations, each round will have specific objectives, and performance in each stage will influence the next. Games will culminate with a "Final Stand", with players using only a primary weapon with limited ammo, and no respawns. Similarly to Battlefield 1, the game will feature a collection of single-player "war stories" based on aspects of World War II.[2] The game also features a cooperative mode not seen since Battlefield 3 called "Combined Arms", where four players can undertake missions together and features dynamic missions and objectives so missions cannot be played the same way each time. Combined Arms is scheduled to be released after launch.[5] The Battle Royale mode will be built around the franchise's "core pillars of destruction, team play, and vehicles".[6][7][8] The name "Firestorm" is derived from a literal storm of fire that engulfs players similar to the po[CENSORED]r Battle Royale game mechanic of restricting the play area. Furthermore, this particular game mode is not being developed by EA DICE themselves, but has been outsourced to Criterion Games and features the biggest map created by the franchise to date. It is playable by 64 players, which are divided into up to 16 squads with a focus on team work.[9] About FPS Always go with Fullscreen for the best performance and least input-lag. Here you can choose the monitor you want the game to run on. Usually you want to play in your native monitor resolution. However, the resolution does of course have a big impact on the FPS. If you want or need more FPS in Battlefield V, lowering the resolution is one of the big factors. The most common resolution is still 1920 x 1080 (Full HD). If that is still too high, 1600 x 900 looks still great and provides good visibility. Resolution Using a resolution like 1680x1050 instead of 1920x1080, or 1440x900 instead of 1600x900 results in about 15% less pixel that need to get rendered. Additional performance you might need. Downside is a little bit of missing screen estate on the left and the right. Brightness A subject setting which also depends on your monitor settings. Usually a little higher value is like 65 to 75 is recommended. Brightness A subject setting which also depends on your monitor settings. Usually a little higher value is like 65 to 75 is recommended. The first trailer for the Men in Black reboot is here. The film is titled Men in Black International and sees Thor Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson take over from Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as the covert alien investigators. The trailer follows the formula laid down by the previous movies, with Thompson playing a new recruit to the MiB agency, and Hemsworth assigned as her partner. Emma Thompson reprises her role as Agent O from Men in Black 3, and Liam Neeson appears as the head of the British branch of MiB. There's loads of alien-chasing action and wisecracking humor--in short, everything you'd expect from a Men in Black movie. Check the trailer out above. Men in Black International is set to be released on June 14. It's directed by F. Gary Gray, who helmed last year's blockbuster The Fate of the Furious, as well as the hip-hop biopic Straight Outta Compton. The cast also includes Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley), Rebecca Ferguson (Mission Impossible: Fallout), and Rafe Spall (Prometheus). All three original Men in Black movies were big box-office hits. Although the third movie was not as well received critically as the first two, it still made $624 million at the worldwide box office. In total, the whole series has made more than $1.6 billion.

AMD's Zen 2 architecture takes the company's processors down a new path that takes them away from the monolithic designs of the past. This movement has caused the company to depend on several manufacturers to manufacture the same product, and that offers AMD much more versatility when it comes to managing its lines. According to Semi Wiki sources, AMD plans to split the manufacturing of its new 5 nm chips between Samsung and TSMC, and expects to reach the mass production pace at the same time. TSMC was the first to manufacture in 7 nm, so AMD had to bet everything for TSMC. Samsung will have to put the batteries with their 5 nm if you want to be up to the task. With regard to the manufacturing nodes of the future, AMD wants to leave its options open in order to take full advantage of the competition in the semiconductor industry. It is expected that the 5 nm nodes of TSMC and Samsung will come to be used en masse at the same time and with similar performance and uses. According to the TSMC road map, that should happen during the second half of 2019.

American actor Rami Malek, who was honoured at the recent Santa Barbara Film Festival, broke his silence on working with Bohemian Rhapsody director Bryan Singer during his acceptance speech, reported Vanity Fair. Rami plays Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in the biopic and was even nominated for an Oscar for the role. Bryan was fired from the project with a few weeks of filming left, and was replaced by Dexter Fletcher. While the official reason given was his unprofessionalism, it is widely speculated that the actual reason was that the director was accused of sexual misconduct by multiple people " “My heart goes out to anyone who has to live through anything like what I’ve heard and what is out there. It’s awful, it’s remarkable that this happens, I can appreciate so much what they’ve been through and how difficult this must be for them,” Rami said during his speech. He added, “In the light of the #MeToo era that this somehow seems to exist after that, it’s a horrible thing. Everyone deserves a voice and anyone who wants to talk about what happened with Bryan deserves to have their voice heard.” There were numerous reports that suggested that the actor clashed with Bryan on various occasions while on set. Speaking about his experience working with the director, Rami said, “In my situation with Bryan, it was not pleasant, not at all. And that’s about what I can say about it at this point.” Roma’ and ‘The Favourite’ lead Oscar nominees He continued, “For anyone who is seeking any solace in all of this, Bryan Singer was fired. An interesting strategic turn-based game in which we participate in a futuristic cold war as chief of espionage, in a duel dull for knowledge, influence, power and control over our rivals all over the world. he years go by and Tropico manages to remain relevant, grow and evolve. The game of construction and management in a banana republic still has that freshness and originality that has kept it in the limelight while other series with more po[CENSORED]rity have fallen. The key to the interest of At the Gates is in its developer: Jon Shafer, who was the chief designer of Civilization V. At the Gates is a 4X based on dark ages, with the effective fall of the Romanian empire and the reordering of power that It occurred in the old continent. Not everyone was satisfied with Fates, with some fans considering that he had gone too deep into the elements that (let's not forget either) had resuscitated the sales of the saga. Three Houses, apart from looking really good, also points to a rebalance of the different aspects that come together in the current version of the great strategy game.
