  6. Once again, the best-selling tech product of 2020 was Apple's iPhone—topping the phone's sales in 2019—despite being a pandemic year when so many people were thrown out of work and money was harder to come by. That's the projection from Daniel Ives, an analyst with Wedbush Securities, who tracks sales for U.S. TODAY in an exclusive chart. At 195 million units, that bests Apple's 2019 iPhone sales of 185 million units. Ives credits the increase in sales to the work and learn from home trend that saw so many people need to upgrade their tech gear. That Apple was able to see an increase for a product that ranges from $399 to $1,099 during the COVID crisis was a "shock," Ives says. "It just speaks to the pent-up demand Apple has created in the install base," which totals over 1 billion users. In 2020, Apple introduced 4 new iPhones in the fall, the iPhone 12 Mini ($699), iPhone 12 ($799), iPhone 12 Pro ($999) and iPhone 12 Pro Max ($1,099.) Ives charts specific brands, vs. categories. Televisions and PCs are both huge categories in total, but with many, many players. According to Strategy Analytics, about 212 million laptops will sell in 2020, up 23% from the prior year, with 181 million tablets, up 13%. "Laptops and tablets have soared this year, due to virus-led homeworking and stay-at-home orders," says Neil Mawston, an analyst with Strategy Analytics. About 38.6 million TVs were projected to sell in 2020, the Consumer Technology Association says. And while the new Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Xbox were at the top of many, many wish lists for the year, they were hard to get. The companies were supply constrained and didn't make enough units to get on Ives' list. How other best-sellers fared: Apple Airpods The best-selling headphone product (AirPods and AirPods Pro) saw its sales increase by nearly one-third, to 91 million units, up from 65 million in 2019. In December Apple introduced a new entry to the AirPods line, with a $550 over-the-ear headphone called AirPods Max. iPad Apple's tablet had a resurgence in 2020, moving from No. 4 to No. 3, again, a beneficiary of the work and learn from home trend, with projected sales of 55 million units, up from 40 million in 2019. In 2020 Apple introduced new iPad units, the iPad Air ($599) and iPad ($329) with faster processing chips. Echo Does everybody who wants a talking speaker already own one? That's the dilemma for Amazon, which saw its sales fall from 60 million units in 2019 to a projected 40 million. Amazon went on a major refresh in 2020, changing the coffee can and hockey puck shapes of the Echo and Echo Dot into devices that looked like bowling balls. Amazon has 5 Echo speakers available, from the $99 top of the line Echo down to the Dot. Samsung Galaxy Samsung's Galaxy smartphone saw a slight increase, with sales of 36 million, up from 30 million the previous year. The Galaxy S series is the second best-selling phone to the iPhone in the United States. This year Samsung introduced so many new models that when combined with its entry-level A line, the Z Fold and Z Flip phones, the company had 15 different phones available for purchase. Apple Watch With the new Series 6 Watch, Apple touted the ability to check blood oxygen levels and introduced a new family plan that enabled parents to buy watches for their kids without having to pair them to iPhones.Apple saw its Watch sales increase from 25 million to 31 million in 2020.

  7. Sony develops Linux driver for PS5 DualSense controller. Sony has released an official Linux driver for its PlayStation 5 DualSense controller. The driver allows using the controller to play Linux games, which is good news for Linux gaming enthusiasts. The new Linux kernel driver fully supports Sony's PlayStation 5 DualSense controller's key functionality, including the gamepad, touchpad, and motion-sensing both in USB and Bluetooth modes, reports Phoronix. At the same time, the driver doesn't yet support the advanced capabilities of the new controller, such as Adaptive Triggers and the VCM-based haptics. Sony's PlayStation consoles have long been known to be Linux friendly, and for years activist Linux users installed this operating system on their PlayStation machines. Therefore, it is not surprising that the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller is now supported by Linux. It will take some time before someone installs Linux on PS5, but enabling the controller supports the first step. For Linux gamers, added support for PlayStation 5 DualSense controller means that they can use it for gaming and expect Sony to make other PS5 peripherals compatible with the platform.

  8. Game Information Initial release date: February 6, 2020 Designer: Thomas Altenberger Software Developers: Flying Oak Games, E-Studio Platforms: Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Linux, Mac OS, Mac OS Publishers: Dear Villagers, Yooreka Studio, Plug In Digital Genres: Platforms Game, Roguelike Many rogue-lites are very difficult. ScourgeBringer is one of those. It’s also extremely fast, precise, and highly demanding. Whether you’re skillfully dashing through the air and chaining hits on foes or dodging a giant flood of dangerous bullets, the game certainly has a lot going on. It has an endearing pixel aesthetic and a simple, yet entertaining structure that works well. But it does lack not only gameplay variety but a level of randomness that would make it a classic of the sub-genre. Regardless, fans of brutally hard 2D action games will find a lot to like here. ScourgeBringer places you in the shoes of Khyra, a white-haired girl struggling to free humanity from the complexities of existence by going up against five judges in a post-apocalyptic world. There’s not really much plot here, although you’ll find tidbits of it in lore disks that you get out of old computers you find. I’ve read most of these and still have very little idea of what exactly is transpiring. However, I haven’t exactly spent any length of time poring over the text in an attempt to piece together some sort of deeper understanding. Each run in Scourgebringer starts with Khyra starting at a tree with a portal in the center. There’s also an altar to the left where perks can be selected, and a guy to talk to on the right, plus a computer to read the lore you’ve gathered. When you’re ready to start your run, you simply jump into the portal and are whisked away to the first of five levels, each with its own design archetypes, enemies, and bosses. A single complete run will take around 45 minutes, but that’s, of course, much easier said than done. Highly-skilled players will be able to accomplish this without as much issue, sure, but everyone else is going to need to put in some substantial practice to be able to survive the hazards that lay ahead. Dashy slashy There are several moves at your disposal in ScourgeBringer. Khyra can jump, do a regular slash with her sword, do a smash with her sword, dash, and her equipped gun. The combat feels great, technical, and entertaining, even if it can get a bit stale after a while. While most other rogue-lites feature weapon builds and additional characters, you’re going to be fighting the exact same way for the entirety of your experience with the game. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but people used to changing things up might find this to be limiting. While fighting, you’ll mostly be utilizing dashes and basic slashes in mid-air. Each level consists of a series of interconnected, single-screen rooms. These come in the form of combat rooms, shops, skill rooms, mini-boss rooms, and a boss room. Most rooms are of the combat variety and require you to kill everything in order to move on. Each level requires you to beat a certain number of mini-bosses before the boss room unlocks as well. The first two levels only require you to beat one mini-boss, while the third and fourth need two. The fifth has three on top of a final boss with two forms. Good luck with that. Khyra is mostly going to stay in the air as she’s fighting since enemies often fly. ScourgeBringer mitigates this by allowing you infinite air dashes. You can stay airborne for entire rooms as long as you dash again before hitting the ground. The dash doubles as a movement skill and an attack, so you’ll typically dash into a foe, slash at them for a while, and then dash away. It’s hypnotic and flashy. Khyra’s smash attack can stun enemies and slam them into walls. It can also deflect any bullets it hits right at enemies, which is invaluable. Bullet point Enemies are going to be shooting at you a lot in ScourgeBringer. There’s always some warning, though. Smaller foes will have an exclamation point appear above them, letting you know to get out of Dodge, as you may be hitting them in the face at the time. The bullets operate in a bullet hell way, as there tends to be a cluster of them. Khyra’s smash arc can easily hit just a few of the bullets in her way while still letting some get through, so it pays to only deflect when it’s safe. Thankfully, she can fire some bullets of her own. ScourgeBringer only has one main weapon, sure, but there are several different types of guns Khyra can either find or purchase. These range from the default pistol, to a laser, shotgun, chaingun, and the like. But ammo is very finite and it doesn’t take long to go through it, so it’s more to be used in emergency situations. Ammo can be refilled by crates enemies drop with some frequency, but it’s not enough to really change your entire playstyle, which hurts the game a bit. As for the rogue elements, Khyra can find skill pillars that will grant her a skill for the run. You can find several of these in a single run and they can make a large difference, such as giving her more health, changes to damage, and changes to the rate of currency collection, among others. Enemies drop blood as they die, which is tied to a combat multiplier that increases as you fight without getting hit. This blood is spent at shops to purchase things such as healing items, mods, and new guns. Additionally, there’s a permanent currency that bosses drop that ScourgeBringer lets you put into skills at the Chiming Tree before a run. You can enable or disable these while at the tree and they increase your chances of success. No easy going However, ScourgeBringer isn’t a game you can brute force with upgrades. You’ll get a max of 10 HP through passives, plus more that you can add within a run. Each hit does a single unit of damage, but you’re absolutely going to need to not get hit much to survive. Enemies occasionally drop small healing items, and you’ll sometimes get a full heal from a skill pillar, but taking too much damage is hard to recover from. Especially since there’s very little invulnerability time after getting hit. A couple of seconds of mistakes can easily cost you a big chunk of your life bar. Overall, the game is extremely difficult and success is going to come down to skill. The random power-ups you find during runs can certainly help, but they don’t change the experience up massively. You’re not typically going to find a stack of lucky combinations that make you a powerhouse in ScourgeBringer, and so you’ll need to have the skill in order to beat it normally. There are accessibility options for people who want an easier time, although they’re not great. You can reduce and increase game and bullet speed, which can help some. But the only other main options are to make health drops more common or straight-up invincibility. This is a glaring missed opportunity for the game to become more enticing to less-skilled players, as full heals after beating a boss or checkpoints would be far less drastic than being invincible. ScourgeBringer is a good time, but most runs end up feeling interchangeable due to the pure focus on skill, single main weapon and character, and lack of general randomness. Once you beat the game, you can unlock a much harder version with selectable challenges that can crank this already hard game up to ridiculous levels. How much someone is bound to like the game really boils down to how much they enjoy the combat. Otherwise, I can see a lot of people losing interest or being turned off by the high skill requirement. 12. It's the SNES Boy of your dreams. The Raspberry Pi retrogaming community has been hard at work over the last few years to master the portable handheld. This awesome SNES controller RetroPie rig, created by Josh from Restore Technique, gets us one step closer to ultimate retro gaming perfection. For this project, Josh decided to use an actual SNES controller as the housing. Inside is a Raspberry Pi, powering the display and running a special edition of RetroPie. According to Josh, it's running a prebuilt image of PinkyPi, based on RetroPie 4.5.1. To emulate SNES ROMs, he decided to use PiSNES as the primary emulator. 13. Game Information Initial release date: December 11, 2020 Software developer: ustwogames Publisher: ustwogames Primary computer: Play 4, Xbox One Station, Microsoft Windows, Macintosh operating systems It’s rare, but once in a while I get the opportunity to play a special type of indie game. Over the years I can name just a handful of exceptional, yet underappreciated, titles that were serious contenders for game of the year. The likes of CrossCode, Recettear, and Owlboy come to mind. When I first saw Alba: A Wildlife Adventure, it immediately stood out. But I never imagined that it would become the latest entry on my all-time favorite indie games list. Alba: A Wildlife Adventure is an open-world adventure game focused on wildlife conservation. The small island of Pinar del Mar is a paradise full of unique and diverse animals. But as of late, it has been struggling to bring in the same level of tourism it once did. Concerned about the financial stability of the island, the mayor plans to introduce a large hotel to revitalize tourism. Unfortunately, there isn’t all too much free space to build such a substantial structure, and so something’s got to give. The mayor has given the green light for the long-running wildlife conservation site to be destroyed and replaced by the hotel. It’s up to our protagonist Alba and her friend Inés to gather enough petition signatures to convince the mayor to not abandon Pinar del Mar’s natural roots. Saving the island Alba: A Wildlife Adventure‘s gameplay is split up into three different parts. The main two things you’ll be doing is following the main story and exploring the island. Outside of that, there are some secondary objectives for completionists. These can be completed both before and after finishing the main storyline. The story is short, taking around two to three hours for a casual playthrough. To complete all of the activities and 100% Alba will likely take you around an hour or two on top of that. At a retail price of $16.99 USD, that does make Alba: A Wildlife Adventure rather expensive for its length. However, I don’t think that the price is unjustified due to how enjoyable my playthrough was. Simply put, this is the comfiest game I’ve played in years. Roaming around to your heart’s content, sightseeing beautiful animals and the many stunning sights, make for the perfect day out. Honestly, without that passion for animals and wildlife, this game probably won’t do much for you. But that’s obvious enough given the title. You effectively play the role of a wildlife conservationist and enthusiast all in one. You’re tasked with repairing the island, taking pictures of any species you come across, and saving animals. The latter is achieved by doing good deeds like freeing birds stuck in netting and cleaning up a pesticide outbreak. The pictures you take of animals serve two purposes. They fill up your catalog which is needed to 100% Alba: A Wildlife Adventure. These images are also used to update various habitat panels. Filling out a habitat panel is one of the many ways you can secure a signature for your petition. You can see the broken panel beforehand to figure out what wildlife you need to find. It’s basically the only fetch quest in the history of games that I’ve actually cared about. It can sometimes be a little annoying to take a picture since the animal has to be close up and centered for it to count. But for the most part, this is a fun mechanic that encourages you to explore every corner of Pinar del Mar. Some of the rarer animals even require certain tasks to be completed before they appear. These tasks are wholesome and all about making the world a better place. Taking in the sights I love developer ustwo studios’ decision to stray away from hyper-realistic visuals. With a game so focused on nature, it would have had to look sensational to pull that off. Even the slightest misuse of anti-aliasing or a blurry texture or two would completely ruin the mood. Instead, Alba: A Wildlife Adventure adopts a soft pastel art style typical of many modern indie games. From a visual standpoint, this works incredibly well. The animals are simple in design yet also easily distinguishable from one another. Also, environmental details are gorgeous with some of the sightseeing spots being genuinely breathtaking. There were times where I found myself just stopping to admire my surroundings. It’s a shame that the same can’t be said about the performance. Although by no stretch of the imagination unplayable, Alba: A Wildlife Adventure did suffer from frame drops during my time playing. These drops varied depending on where I was and what I was looking at, but they were more consistent than I’d like. Running at 1440p, max settings on my Nvidia RTX 2060, Alba would idle at well above 100 fps — in areas featuring dense wildlife, this dipped as low as 30. I even managed to find one spot near the castle that caused frame drops into the mid-teens. I think this was more of a bug though, as there wasn’t much to render on screen at that moment. Regardless, it does suggest that for all its creative brilliance, Alba: A Wildlife Adventure is not overly optimized. Final verdict As critics go, I’m not usually the most forgiving. And when it comes to performance issues, you’ll find few more irritated by them than I. And yet here I am giving Alba: A Wildlife Adventure the benefit of the doubt for this review. Why is that? Because this game has done something very few others can claim: it had me smiling from beginning to end. I was never annoyed, and even the few bugs present were harmless enough that I could find them funny. Alba: A Wildlife Adventure is a feel-good adventure game that is perfect for burning off stress. You load it up and get to take pictures of cute animals while saving a tropical Spanish island from losing its identity. It’s a win-win situation that will have you grinning in no time. So when all is said and done, I can wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who loves animals. And I’m not sure if there’s any bigger praise that I can give than that to a game all about wildlife conservation. System Requirements OS: Windows 7 (SP1+) 64-bit. Processor: Intel Core i5. Memory: 4 GB RAM. Graphics: Intel HD 630. DirectX: Version 11. Storage: 2 GB available space.

  14. People Also Ask Where is the Jaguar F-Type made? The 2021 Jaguar F-Type is built in the Castle Bromwich Assembly Plant in Birmingham, England. Is the Jaguar F-Type available with a manual transmission? Sadly, no. The last Jaguar F-Type available with a manual gearbox was the 2019 model. How quick is the Jaguar F-Type R? Now packing a 575-horsepower punch, the F-Type R hits 60 mph in a fleet 3.5 seconds. Is the Jaguar F-Type rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive? The P300 F-Type, powered by the turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder with 296 horsepower, is rear-wheel drive. The P380 and F-Type R, with 380 and 575 horsepower, respectively, are all-wheel drive. KBB Editors’ Overview The 2021 Jaguar F-Type is a modern sports car with a classic pedigree. Available as a coupe or a convertible, the F-Type effectively is the classic Jaguar E-Type brought into the modern era. Models range from the rear-drive P300 with 296 horsepower to the all-wheel-drive F-Type R with 575 horsepower. For 2021, the F-Type sports a new hood with revised vents, plus different bumper caps and LED headlights that are thinner and more horizontal. What’s more, the side vent design now incorporates the leaping Jaguar logo. Inside, the big change is a new interactive digital instrument panel. As before, the Jag F-Type’s main competitors remain the Porsche 718 Boxster and the Porsche 911 Turbo. The convertible F-Type has a soft fabric top, which is less secure than a folding hardtop, but far more traditional and romantic. Driving the 2021 Jaguar F-Type Many automotive manufacturers haven’t grasped how to make electric-assist steering have the feel and heft that enthusiasts prefer. Jaguar has. And since the F-Type is the company’s most driver-centric model, it’s appropriate that it has steering that’s more informative than, say, a luxury sedan. Jaguar has also pulled off the neat trick of tuning a suspension for poise and precision, yet still giving it the ability to absorb the lumps and bumps of roads less maintained. We’ve driven the F-Type on roads and on tracks, and the handling really is world-class. The F-Type’s aural dimension, meanwhile, grows in awesomeness from the nice-enough 4-cylinder engine to the mischievous supercharged V6 to the wild supercharged V8 (see our Favorite Features below). Standstill-to-60-mph acceleration times run from a respectable 5.4 seconds to a supercar-like 3.5 seconds. Favorite Features SULTRY STYLING The F-Type already was a pretty car. But with the new hood, horizontally slit LED headlights, and revised grille, the 2021 version of Jaguar’s sports coupe looks fantastic. It still looks like a Jag, only better. ACTIVE SPORTS EXHAUST Via a button on the center console, F-Type drivers can be polite through town and a bit more operatic in the mountains. The V8s make fabulous pops and crackles on over-run. 2021 Jaguar F-Type Interior The big interior news for 2021? A 12.3-inch digital instrument panel has replaced the traditional analog gauges. It has three display themes, but the default setting features a large tachometer front and center. There’s also a badge on the center console of a few select models that reads: “Jaguar Est. 1935.” Apart from that, it’s business as usual inside the F-Type. Which is to say this grand tourer is a bit on the cozy side, with a wide center console that encroaches on foot-well space. In back, the coupe has 14.4 cubic feet of cargo capacity, plenty for a couple of golf bags. The convertible has only 7.3 cubic feet in its trunk. 2021 Jaguar F-Type Exterior It’s a tough job updating a classic, but Jaguar has succeeded with the new 2021 F-Type. There’s a softer and more organically curved hood with revised vents, and the front appearance is complemented by slim LED headlights and a taller grille opening. Around the side of the new F-Type, a new vent badge featuring the leaping Jaguar logo. In back, the car features revised LED taillights but looks much the same as before. By looking at the exhaust, you can tell which engine powers that particular F-Type. The P300, powered by the turbo 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, has a single center exhaust outlet, while the supercharged V6 in the P380 R-Design gets two large round tailpipes. The F-Type R, with the supercharged V8, boasts quad-outlet outboard exhausts with etched R branding. 2021 Jaguar F-Type Standard Features In the rear-drive P300 model, the 2021 Jaguar F-Type comes with the 296-horsepower engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Inside, you’ll find sport seats covered in leather and fake suede, plus metal scuff plates, a pushbutton starter, a 380-watt sound system, satellite radio, a navigation system, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. The P380 F-Type R-Dynamic is a significant bump in power and content. This F-Type is powered by a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 with 380 horsepower, and it sends power to all four wheels via the 8-speed paddle-shift automatic. Standard fare on the F-Type R-Dynamic includes adaptive suspension, a limited-slip rear differential, and larger front and rear brakes with black calipers. This version of the F-Type is distinguished visually by unique badging, a gloss-black splitter, and dark gray 20-inch wheels with a diamond-turned finish. At the top level is the Jaguar F-Type R, powered by the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 with 575 horsepower. Generous standard fare is highlighted by an active electronic rear differential, larger rear brakes with red brake calipers, sport seats covered in Windsor leather, a leather-covered center console, an R-branded steering wheel, R-branded scuff plates and a suede-like material covering the instrument panel. 2021 Jaguar F-Type Options Options abound on the 2021 F-Type. Notable stand-alone choices include a 770-watt Meridien sound system, a fixed panoramic sunroof, and a power tailgate, the latter two available only on the F-Type coupe. Sporty but expensive carbon-ceramic brakes are optional on the F-Type R. Among the available options packages are a Climate Pack (heated seats, heated steering wheel, 2-zone climate control) and a Blind-Spot Assist Pack (blind-spot assist and a rear traffic monitor) that should be standard equipment on all 2021 Jaguar F-Types. 2021 Jaguar F-Type Engines The entry-level 2021 Jaguar F-Type — the rear-drive P300 model — is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder unit making 296 horsepower. Next up is the F-Type P380 R-Dynamic, which is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 developing, you guessed it, 380 horsepower. It’s an all-wheel-drive (AWD) car, just like the Jaguar F-Type R, which is powered by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 with 575 horsepower. Jaguar recommends premium gasoline. An 8-speed automatic is the sole transmission. 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 (F-Type P300) 296 horsepower @ 5,500 rpm 295 lb-ft of torque @ 1,500-4,500 rpm EPA city/highway fuel economy, estimated: 23/30 mpg 3.0-liter supercharged V6 (F-Type P380 R-Dynamic) 380 horsepower @ 6,500 rpm 339 lb-ft of torque @ 3,500-5,000 rpm EPA city/highway fuel economy: 19/27 mpg (RWD), 18/26 mpg (AWD) 5.0-liter supercharged V8 (F-Type R) 575 horsepower @ 6,500 rpm 516 lb-ft of torque @ 3,500-5,500 rpm EPA city/highway fuel economy: 16/24 mpg How Much Does the 2021 Jaguar F-Type Cost? The 2021 Jaguar F-Type P300 Coupe has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $61,600, plus a $1,025 destination fee. A convertible Jaguar F-Type P300 starts at $64,700. If you’d rather get a supercharged AWD V6 model instead of the RWD turbo 4, the F-Type P380 R-Dynamic is available. At $81,800 for the coupe and $84,900 for the convertible, it’s a big jump up in price (and performance) from the base car. At the top of the range for 2021 is the Jaguar F-Type R. Powered by that sweet supercharged 5.0-liter with 575 horsepower, the F-Type-R has an MSRP of $103,200 for the coupe and $105,900 for the convertible. For a reasonably well-equipped F-Type P300, expect to pay a bit less than $70,000. An F-Type P380 R-Dynamic with typical options will be in the low $90s, while an F-Type-R equipped as such reaches about $110,000. Two comparisons: The 2020 Porsche 718 Cayman starts around $58,000, and the potent new GTS 4.0 model comes in at $100,550. The new mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette is also worth considering. It has an impressively low MSRP of $59,995, a price that includes $1,095 delivery. Always check the KBB.com Fair Purchase Price to see what others are paying for their 2021 Jaguar F-Type. Resale values aren’t as good as those of Porsche. Which Model is Right for Me? 2021 Jaguar F-Type P300 2.0-liter 4-cylinder with 296 horsepower Rear-wheel drive Coupe or convertible Paddle-shift 8-speed automatic transmission Apple CarPlay/Android Auto 2021 Jaguar F-Type P380 R Dynamic Supercharged 3.0-liter V6 with 300 horsepower All-wheel drive Adaptive suspension Larger brakes with black calipers 20-inch dark-gray alloy wheels 2021 Jaguar F-Type R Supercharged 5.0-liter V8 with 575 horsepower All-wheel drive Larger brakes with red calipers Upgraded interior leather Sport seats 2021 Jaguar F-Type Safety Technology Automatic emergency braking If the F-Type senses a stopped car or a pedestrian in its path, it will automatically warn the driver and apply the brakes to prevent a dangerous collision or lessen its impact. Blind-Spot Assist Pack This is a $500 option on all 2021 Jaguar F-Types, but it should be standard on the car. This package lets you know when there’s a car or motorcycle in your rear three-quarter blind spot, making lane changes much safer. It also has rear cross-traffic assist, which will warn you (and stop the vehicle if necessary) when you’re backing out of a parking spot and cross-traffic is sensed. Driver condition monitor Via various sensors, the F-Type will detect if the driver is showing signs of drowsiness. If so, a coffee cup on the instrument panel illuminates to suggest a break from driving.

  15. It seems that the departure of Thomas Tuchel as coach of Paris Saint-Germain, may be a "good omen" for the French club, which is looking to adjust its position locally and successfully complete its career in the Champions League. According to French press reports, Mauricio Pochettino, the Argentine favorite to succeed Tuchel, may help the club to include its compatriot Lionel Messi next summer. On Thursday, French and German media said that Tochel has already left Paris Saint-Germain, and that Pochettino, the former Tottenham Hotspur coach, appears the closest to succeeding him. According to the French newspaper "Le Parisien", Messi can accompany Pochettino to the "Princes' Stadium" next season, where the two have a good relationship. Messi's association with Barcelona ends at the end of the current season, and the player can enter official negotiations from next January with any club that wants to join him. The relationship between Messi and his club soured last summer after a weeks-long crisis, when the 33-year-old asked to leave, but the club's management refused and adhered to the penalty clause of 700 million euros. Paris Saint-Germain has long been a likely destination for Messi, as he is among the few European clubs able to pay the world’s highest-paid player. Messi already has many friends in Paris Saint-Germain, most notably Neymar, who moved from Barcelona to the French capital in the summer of 2017 for 222 million euros, in the biggest deal in football history. It is believed that the elections scheduled in Barcelona on January 24 will play an important role in determining Messi's fate in the Catalan club, after the recent calm of the crisis due to the resignation of Jose Maria Bartomeu from his post as president of the club. All Barcelona leadership candidates say Messi is in their future plans, and they refuse to forfeit the player who won the Ballon d'Or 6 times.

  16. When it comes to Christmas pickings, there are no rules… This is the fridge’s finest hour. A bowl of cranberry sauce full to the brim; shards of cold roast goose, turkey perhaps; some cold roast potatoes, craggy and golden, and, joy of joys, a saucer of cold pigs-in-blankets. There is bread sauce in a gravy boat, a piece of cold salmon, brandy butter and even a jug of Marsala-laced gravy. Treats beyond measure. There is nothing, simply nothing, I like doing in the kitchen more than picking at leftovers. Those bowls with saucers for lids, keeping the buried treasure safe until we are ready to eat. A ready-made breakfast, a midnight treat, bounty to pick at for the quiet days that follow the feast. There are no rules. (Though I should warn you to sniff everything first.) If you want to add a dollop of cranberry sauce to a fry-up of cold roast potatoes and sprouts, go for it. Likewise bread sauce as a dip for crisp-fried turkey skin or the last of the nut roast crumbled into a pilaf. A fry-up does seem the most honest answer to the conundrums currently residing in the fridge. The deliciousness increases if there is any sort of gravy or roasting juices. (That jelly lurking under the bones is pure gold.) Try bubbling a surfeit of gravy and the juices that have set in the roasting tin together in a shallow pan then adding shredded greens served on mashed potato or potato cakes. Sweet leftover favourites include brandy butter spread on toasted panettone; Christmas pudding crumbled into a frying pan with a glass of brandy and bubbled up as a dressing for vanilla ice-cream, and mince pies mashed and folded into cold custard (good when you’ve had a bit too much to drink). Best of all is torn panettone baked with eggs, sugar, cream and candied peel – bread and butter pudding with its Christmas hat on. Bones, beans, bits and bobs No matter how many aromatics you put in, it’s the bones that make the broth. Ideally there will be a ham bone to share the pot with onions, carrots, thyme and garlic, but those of the roasted turkey or goose will do. Bones give the soup a satisfyingly silken quality. If I have time, the beans will be dried, soaked overnight, then boiled and simmered with bay and peppercorns. If not, a can will do. Care is needed in what else we add, but any fresh greens – cabbage, broccoli, chard and the like – are welcome, as are cooked carrots, parsnips and potatoes. A cold chipolata or two would be like finding buried treasure in your soup and the same with bacon, but this is not the place to chuck anything and everything. The number one addition would be a lump of rind from the parmesan, which will quietly add a pleasing back-note of umami while it simmers. Serves 6 onions 2, medium goose fat or olive oil 3 tbsp carrot 1, roughly chopped celery 1 rib, chopped bacon 150g chicken, turkey or goose stock 2 litres thyme 6 springs bay leaves 3 rosemary 3 sprigs bones (such as turkey leg or carcass) 1 or 2 peppercorns 8 parmesan rind (optional) a 5-10cm piece butter beans 2 x 400g tins Pesto, to finish: garlic 2 cloves, peeled basil leaves 50g pine nuts 45g olive oil 150ml parmesan 30g, grated Peel and chop the onions. Warm the goose fat in a casserole over a moderate heat, add the onions, chopped carrot and celery and cook until soft and pale gold. Cut the bacon into small pieces, cooking it until the fat is gold, then pour in the stock and add the thyme, bay and rosemary. Submerge the bones, add any meat juices or jelly, the peppercorns and a piece of parmesan rind if you have it, then bring to the boil. Lower the heat to gentle simmer for 45-60 minutes. Crush the garlic to a paste with a pinch of sea salt then mash in the basil leaves, pine nuts and olive oil, then the parmesan. Add the beans to the soup and continue cooking for a further 10 minutes. At this point you can skim off the fat if you wish, but I don’t – instead, relishing the silkiness it lends to the soup. Ladle into bowls and stir in the basil sauce.

  17. In news that may not be new, but it will intensify the conflict between the poles of the world, America and China, a new analysis has revealed that the Chinese economy is expected to surpass the economy of the United States in 2028 - that is, five years earlier than previous expectations - in the wake of the repercussions of the Corona virus pandemic, according to For the analysis released on Saturday. The Center for Economics and Business Research (CEBR) said that China will exceed previous expectations that predicted that it would surpass the US economy in 2033 due to the impact of COVID-19. The group considered that not only has China dealt with the outbreak more effectively than Western countries, but its Western counterparts have suffered significant damage to their long-term growth. According to the analysis, “China's skilled management of the epidemic and the strikes against long-term growth in the West mean that China's relative economic performance has improved. It is now believed that the Chinese economy will overtake the US economy in 2028, that is, a full 5 years before what was expected last year, and it is also expected that the directional growth rate of China will reach 5.7% annually from 2021-25, and 4.5% annually from 2026- 2030, and by 3.9% between 2031-2035. China suffered its first outbreak of the Coronavirus in Wuhan, and has faltered economically before any other country. However, it recovered more quickly than the United States and Europe, which put it forward in the post-pandemic world. Indeed, “the Chinese authorities have reacted strongly and as a result, the Chinese economy has suffered less economic damage than any other major economy. It is estimated that China will achieve positive GDP growth of 2% in 2020, while other major economies are expected to have negative growth in the year. ” Chinese President Xi Jinping stated in November that it was "entirely possible" for China to double the size of its economy by 2035, under his five-year plan. Driven by massive po[CENSORED]tion growth, India is also expected to become the largest country by 2027 and the third largest economy by 2030, after China and the United States, an indication of the booming economic strength in Asia, according to its report.
