Angel Di Maria Angel Di Maria is set to start for Manchester United against Newcastle today. The Argentina winger was sidelined for three weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury in the 3-0 victory over Hull on November 29. The Serbian has been one of the best players in the league this season, alongside Downing, and it is no coincidence that the only game Chelsea have lost so far was when Matic was missing through suspension. Since resigning for the club in January from Benfica, Matic has quickly established himself as a key cog in Jose Mourinho’s side.

The Blues did not really feel very threatened and the Potters could not muster many great chances as Chelsea secured their place at the top of the Premier League for Christmas Day. Also, the recall to the side means that Mourinho could rest any one of his midfielders now with Oscar able to play in a variety of roles in midfield.
