  1. Price: £12,500 (est) On sale: early 2015 Suzuki's Vitara will be reborn next year as a five-door crossover. It retains many design elements from the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show concept, including a bold front grille, contoured haunches and LED lights. The bright colours, two-tone roof combinations and ‘rugged’ style package on offer should appeal to those who want to add a splash of personality to their car. That style package hints at the Vitara’s secret weapon – the new, optional ‘ALLGRIP’ four-wheel drive, with an automatic mode that kicks in when slip is detected. And it doesn’t hurt the efficiency of the 1.6-litre petrol or diesel engines, either. Claimed CO2 figures range between 107g/km and 138g/km, depending on the drivetrain.
  2. Price: from £20,000 (est) On sale: mid 2015 Practicality and value for money have always been the primary focus of any Skoda, but the all-new Superb will add style to that list. A much more attractive design is on the cards, revealed in our exclusive image (above), with the new saloon also set to use the VW Group’s lightweight MQB architecture. That also means it could be available with the plug-in hybrid tech VW will soon offer on its all-new Passat. The current 3.6-litre V6 faces the axe, but all-wheel drive will still be an option.
  3. Price: £28,000 (est) On sale: early 2015 The success of the Leon Cupra three and five-door hatchbacks has encouraged SEAT to think outside the box – and our spies have caught the Leon Cupra ST on test. It’s not surprising to learn that the ST will feature the same attractive styling cues as the hatchback. It’s also pretty certain that the Cupra ST will be available in 265 (261bhp) and 280 (276bhp) forms, with the latter having distinctive design tweaks such as black door mirrors, beefier alloys and a tailgate spoiler. Skoda Fabia Estate (Combi) Price: £12,000 (est) On sale: early 2015 Skoda has always offered an estate version of its Fabia supermini, and the forthcoming third-generation car will be no exception. The new model will offer a cavernous 530-litre boot with a movable floor to free up yet more space, and will feature the same stylish design details as its hatchback sister. When the estate arrives in early 2015, it will also borrow the engine range found in the Fabia hatchback.
  4. Price: £15,000 (est) On sale: summer 2015 Renault loves building hot hatchbacks, so it’s no surprise that the company is planning a spicy Twingo. The new pocket rocket will probably get a more powerful version of an engine already used in the range – namely the tweaked 0.9-litre petrol turbo. A racy bodykit and bigger wheels are likely to mark out the new hot Twingo, as will a fruity-sounding exhaust system. And the name? The brand seems to be set on Twingo GT because it won’t be powerful enough to ‘earn’ an RS badge.
  5. Price: £125,000 (est) On sale: mid 2015 Porsche knows that its latest 911 GT3 won’t satisfy the most hardcore fans – so the RS is on the way. It will feature a wider track, larger side air vents located just in front of the wheelarches, an outrageous rear wing and a rear diffuser – all of which will increase downforce by 50 per cent. The German company has yet to confirm full details, but we expect the car to have the GT3’s PDK gearbox and the 3.8-litre, flat-six engine to be tuned to around 500bhp.
  6. Price: £25,000 (est) On sale: mid 2015 (est) Nissan’s humdrum Pulsar hatchback is set to receive a shot in the arm with the introduction of a Nismo-tuned version to take on the VW Golf GTI. Our spies had already spotted the Pulsar Nismo testing at the Nürburgring before the wraps came off the concept at the Paris Motor Show. But the final car promises up to 247bhp from a reworked 1.6-litre turbocharged engine, putting it squarely in the middle of the hot hatch crowd. As well as aggressive styling, it’ll get suspension and steering upgrades. An even more extreme Nismo RS is expected, offering around 275bhp.

  9. Price: From £15,000 (est) On sale: early 2015 MINI gave us a glimpse of the new Clubman with this six-door concept at March’s Geneva Motor Show. Don’t expect it to change massively for production, either, with the same rear ‘barn doors’, and two full-size doors on either side. Whereas the five-door hatch goes up against the Audi A1, MINI is pitching the Clubman as a direct rival for the VW Golf. 10. Price: from £110,000(est) On sale: early 2015 As the SLS supercar bowed out, Mercedes decided the best replacement would be a smaller, cheaper, Porsche 911 rival – and it looks like it’s hit the nail on the head. The rear-wheel-drive AMG GT is shorter and lighter than the SLS, weighing in at 1,645kg. It may have lost the gullwing doors, but the swooping roofline and long bonnet are stunning. At launch, there will be two versions, both featuring the new turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 and a seven-speed dual-clutch box: a ‘base’ model with 456bhp and a 503bhp GT S. These deliver 0-62mph in 4.0 and 3.8 seconds respectively. The interior looks stylish and cosy, while there’s a 350-litre boot. Mercedes GLE Price: £50,000 (est) On sale: mid 2015 Mercedes' BMW X6-rivalling GLE SUV coupé has slipped under the radar a bit. It wasn’t on display at the recent Paris Motor Show, although we’ve seen spy shots of it under the name of the ML Coupé. We still expect a production model to appear using the platform of the new GLE Class, which is what the next M-Class SUV is likely to be called. Other details are thin on the ground, but uprated petrol and diesel engines are expected, as is a 500bhp-plus AMG model to rival the X6 M. Also coming soon: Mercedes-AMG C 63 Price: £59,795 On sale: early 2015 (est) Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake Price: from £28,000 (est) On sale: early 2015 Mercedes S600 Maybach Price: £200,000 (est) On sale: mid 2015 Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet Price: £110,000 (est) On sale: Early 2015 MINI JCW Price: £23,000 (est) On sale: Spring 2015 MINI is putting the finishing touches to the hot John Cooper Works version of its latest hatch. It’ll top the all-new third-generation three-door range, and feature a more aggressive bodykit as part of a new design inspired by the JCW concept (above). While the Cooper gets a downsized 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine, the performance flagship will stick with the 2.0-litre four-cylinder, and power is likely to soar beyond 220bhp. The fresh-faced Audi S1 will be a key competitor.
  11. Price: £50,000 (est) On sale: late 2015 The Levante will play a key role in helping Maserati achieve its target of selling 50,000 cars annually. The Kubang Concept gave us an idea of what to expect in terms of styling, with a range of high-performance engines on offer. There’ll be a turbodiesel V6 in three states of tune (247bhp, 271bhp and 345bhp), while petrol fans are catered for by a twin-turbo V6, offering either 245bhp or 414bhp. A flagship twin-turbo V8 with at least 552bhp will also

    Lexus RC

Price: from £35,000 (est) On sale: early 2015 (est) The striking new BMW M4-rivalling RC F supercoupé was the jewel in Lexus’ crown when it was unveiled a few months ago, but what of the lesser models in the RC range? Well, we know that the only model Toyota’s premium brand is planning to bring to the UK is the 300h hybrid version. We expect similar performance to the IS 300h, which has a 178bhp 2.5-litre petrol engine and a 41bhp electric motor, plus the usual high-quality, high-spec Lexus interior. In this guise, the car should do 0-62mph in 8.3 seconds and achieve 60mpg. Other details are scarce, but the striking RC is likely to sit just above the IS in price.
  13. Price: from £27,000 (est) On sale: early 2015 Kia’s new SUV has benefited from the expertise of design boss Peter Schreyer, and it looks good. It’s still a seven-seat 4x4, it still offers stacks of equipment and a 2.2-litre turbodiesel is the only engine option. What’s fresh is the focus on refinement, with the new Sorento reportedly 29 per cent better soundproofed than before, and tuned to deliver less steering kickback. The car will have to be very good to beat our current favourite large SUV – Kia sister brand Hyundai’s Santa Fe – but with this sophisticated new design, the [CENSORED]ure’s looking bright.
