HOW TO MAKE ICED COFFEE? You’ll need a tall glass and a spoon long enough to reach the bottom of that glass. Fill that glass full to the rim with ice. If you really want to get serious about your iced coffee, you can make ice cubes out of coffee too. Then you won’t get that “watered-down” effect. And if you’re into that flavored sort of coffee then go for it. Pour room temperature (or chilled) coffee into the glass. Fill it almost to the top. Pour in the white stuff. Here’s where you get to make a big decision. Do you want to go all out and make this a decadent treat? If so, then add cream or half & half. If you want to go a little lighter, use whole milk or fat-free half & half. And lighter still, use nonfat milk. Take a moment to watch the swirls sink to the bottom and mix in with the coffee. It’s a magical moment. 🙂 Add a couple spoonfuls of sugar (if you like sweet)… or whatever sort of sweetener you usually add to your coffee. In the recipe notes below, I share how to make sugary simple syrup in case you prefer to use that instead of granulated white sugar. Stir it all up! Anticipate drinking your creation.

Flooding affects more than 1 million across East Africa Flooding has affected well over a million people across East Africa, another calamity threatening food security on top of a historic locust outbreak and the coronavirus pandemic. The Nile River has hit its highest levels in a half-century under heavy seasonal rainfall, and large parts of Sudan, Ethiopia and South Sudan have been swamped amid worries about climate change. As warnings of a new famine grow in South Sudan, the United Nations says flooding there has affected at least a half-million people, many in areas of Jonglei state that saw eruptions of deadly intercommunal violence this year. People who fled the fighting now cling to precarious positions, some piling mud barriers around their homes. "They are exposed to malaria, waterborne diseases and snakebites as floodwaters overwhelm their homes and farms," the medical charity Doctors Without Borders says. "People are really very frustrated," local activist David Garang Goch told the U.N. peacekeeping mission in Bor, the capital of Jonglei state, as even the ancient royal city of the Kushite kings known as the Island of Meroe, a UNESCO World Heritage site near the capital, Khartoum. In Ethiopia, officials this week said more than 200,000 people have been displaced, with five of the country's nine regions affected and evacuations underway. The flooding is the latest challenge as food prices climb because of travel and other restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and after some crops and pasture were lost to earlier locust swarms that numbered in the millions or billions of insects. Separately, heavy rainfall this month in a long stretch of the Sahel, the arid strip of land south of the Sahara Desert, also has caused flooding in parts of Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Mauritania and Senegal.

Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB DDR4-3200 C16 4x8GB Review: Fairest of Them All Upholding the Dominator pedigree. Corsair's Dominator Platinum RGB DDR4-3200 waltzes into a market that's one of the most competitive playgrounds in the hardware world, with new faces popping up left and right. Corsair, however, remains one of the few veteran players that has maintained its position and has several offerings on our list of top memory kits. The company's Dominator memory line goes all way the back to the DDR2 days. Still, the Dominator branding remains relevant thanks to Corsair's continued determination to revamp the series throughout its lifetime. The Dominator Platinum RGB is the most recent installment in the Dominator series, and Corsair recently started to offer the memory kits in white trim. Despite all the transformations over the years, the Dominator memory modules stay true to their origins. The new Dominator Platinum RGB retains the iconic top fins, and with this iteration, Corsair dresses the memory modules in a white aluminum heat spreader with a semi-glossy finish. The gold-painted fins complement the heat spreader perfectly, while Corsair attached the matching white top bar to the body of the memory modules via four small gold screws. From the ground up, the Dominator Platinum RGB memory modules measure 55mm (2.17 inches). All the RGB goodness is located on the top bar. There a total of 12 Capellix LEDs in each stick, one behind each square and two behind the Dominator logo. In terms of benefits, Corsair's Capellix LEDs are smaller than conventional RGB LEDs and shine brighter while consuming less power. One thing you should know about the Dominator Platinum RGB's lighting is that it's exclusive to the Corsair brand, meaning you can only control its effects through the included iCUE software. The software allows you to synchronize the memory module's illumination with other Corsair products within the brand's ecosystem to create pretty light shows, but that can be a drawback if you want a more expansive set of options to control other components. Being a memory kit that targets quad-channel platforms, the Dominator Platinum RGB DDR4-3200 arrives with four single-rank 8GB memory modules. The models have a 10-layer PCB that's po[CENSORED]ted with Hynix H5AN8G8NCJR-TFC, also known as C-die or CJR, integrated circuits (ICs). At stock settings, the Dominator Platinum RGB memory modules post at DDR4-2133 with the default timings configured to 15-15-15-36. The memory modules only come with one XMP profile, which sets them to DDR4-3200 at 16-18-18-36 with 1.35V. For more on timings and frequency considerations, see our PC Memory 101 feature, as well as our How to Shop for RAM feature.

Brussels tasks Germany's SAP with linking EU virus apps The European Commission has tasked German software giant SAP to develop a way to link at least 18 national virus-tracing apps to share data across EU borders, officials said Friday. Brussels is trying to act in a coordinating role between the 27 EU capitals as they seek ways to trace victims of the coronavirus epidemic and better control new outbreaks. But many member states went ahead with their own contact-tracing mobile apps that are not fully compatible with each other, hampering efforts to monitor the epidemic's spread. A commission spokesman told AFP that SAP and Deutsche Telekom subsidiary T-Systems will put together a network gateway within three to four weeks to allow apps based on a decentralised architecture to talk to one another. Countries like France and Hungary that built a centralised pool of data will not be able to take part at this stage, but networked apps like those used in 18 EU members including Germany, Poland and Italy will be involved. SAP worked with Deutsche Telekom to build Germany's coronavirus warning app, which has been much-praised and has been downloaded more than 16 million times. Germany's app uses a decentralised data storage model of the kind promoted by US giants Apple and Google, whereas France's StopCovid app has a central server. Fewer than 2.5 million French users have downloaded the app. The commission did not reveal the size of the contract. Deutsche Telekom will work with SAP as a sub-contractor.

To be honest with you, you are doing pretty good work in journalists and you may do many more good things in the future in this project, but you cannot earn moderator rank just by a simple work that everyone can do, like posting topics or making activity...etc I suggest you to join another new projects and try to develop them by helping it & your nice behaviour, also try to share your proposals and ideas with the whole community. So in the end i'll say Contra, because i think that you're not ready yet to hold this rank. Note: Do not consider this response based on a personal matter, it is just my advice.

Your activity is well as i can see, And at the expense of what my colleagues said above you are loyal and a hardworking guy.. But before I say my final decision, I'll ask you a few questions. 1- What would you do to help our CSBD Community if you got Accepted? Do you have some new ideas ? 2- What will be your position if you suffer loss and failure! And what are the steps that you will take to succeed? My Answer depends of your reply quality...
-
Howdy @Hossam Taibi I am glad that you have finally made a request for recruitment, and I will inform you from now that I support you, but I will ask you some questions to clarify some ambiguities. 1-Since you mentioned the subject of the project you are thinking of making in the future to manage it, could you give us some small ideas about this project? And what are the steps you will take to achieve the best for this project? 2-What comfort you the most? Working alone or working with a group, and why? 3-What will you strive to achieve if this request is accepted?
-
Your job is great, I like your good behavior, your participation in journalists, and in terms of being active in general, I can easily see that you are a hardworking person. You have my full support.

How to get the Adobe Creative Cloud student discount Get Adobe's full collection of desktop and mobile apps for less If you're a student who relies on Adobe's creative apps to help with your design or art work, then now is a good to time to sign up to Creative Cloud. Right now, students are eligible for a massive 65% discount on the full software suite, which includes the likes of Photoshop and InDesign. Sadly, Adobe has now halted its temporarily free Creative Cloud licenses, which it offered in March to students who were forced to study from home during the early days of the global pandemic. But this discount still represents a huge saving on the usual monthly or annual subscription fee for Creative Cloud. If you go for monthly payments, it'll save you $33/£33.70/AU$55 per month compared to the standard price for an 'All Apps' subscription. And the savings are almost identical if you opt for a pre-paid annual plan, with the student discount slashing $360 /£400/AU$607.20 off the usual price of $599.98/£596.33/AU$871.07 for the whole year. But what are the benefits of signing up to Creative Cloud and what's the best way of getting the discount? In this guide we'll answer both questions, as well as showing you what you get with Adobe's 'All Apps' subscription, so you can decide if it's the right thing for you. Why sign up to Adobe Creative Cloud? As the name suggests, Creative Cloud is a collection of over 20 desktop and mobile apps that give you professional tools for design, photography, video and UX creation, among other things. Basically, if you want to create anything visual, for print or the web, Creative Cloud will likely have the tools to help you make it. The cloud subscription aspect means that you don't own the software you're using, and if you cancel the payments you'll no longer have access to those apps. But the system has benefits too, with Adobe pushing out regular updates to the apps and also giving you 100GB of cloud storage for the likes of Adobe Spark, Adobe Fonts and Adobe Portfolio. Creative Cloud apps are also very nicely integrated with each other, which means it's easy to switch between the many in the 'All Apps' subscription. Here's the full list of apps you get – not bad for $19.99/£16.24/AU$21.99 p/month with the 65% student discount: -Photoshop -Illustrator -InDesign -Adobe XD -Lightroom -Lightroom Classic -Acrobat Pro -Animate -Dreamweaver -Premiere Pro -Premiere Rush -After Effects -Dimension -Audition -InCopy -Media Encoder -Character Animator -Prelude -Fuse -Bridge

How to Shoot Time-Lapse Videos with Raspberry Pi Setup your Raspberry Pi HQ camera to create awesome time-lapse videos. A time-lapse video is a series of photos taken at regular intervals and then stitched together sequentially to create a video. Time-lapse videos have been used for many years to compress long periods of time into short summary videos. Uses for time-lapse videos range from capturing a flower blossoming, clouds moving, busy traffic movement, putting together a large puzzle, and sunsets. The key to creating an amazing time-lapse video is keeping the camera still (tripods are essential) while the subject(s) move slowly. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to create a sunrise / sunset time-lapse video with a Raspberry Pi HQ camera, but this setup could easily be repurposed for many other types of time-lapse video. Sunrise Time-lapse Overview To create a sunrise video, we set up our Raspberry Pi HQ camera 30 minutes before sunrise to take photos every 3 seconds for an hour. After an hour, the Raspberry Pi will stitch the photos together at 30 frames per second to create a 24 second video of the sunrise. The Python code included with this tutorial allows the user to customize how long the time lapse camera will run, the number of seconds between each photo, and the frame rate of the time lapse video itself. As a bonus we’ve included instructions on how to set the HQ camera to start at a specified time of the day. What you’ll need: Raspberry Pi 4 Power supply/microSD card/Keyboard/Mouse/Monitor/HDMI Cable (for your Raspberry Pi) High Quality (HQ) Camera CS Mount lens for HQ camera Raspberry Pi Camera Ribbon Cable Tripod Optional: You can 3D print a case for your Raspberry Pi and HQ camera here. This Pi and HQ camera case requires 4 M2.5 female stand-offs, 16 M2.5 screws, and 8 M2.5 nuts. Required Assembly 1. Connect the Raspberry Pi to the HQ camera via ribbon cable. 2. Attach your CS mount lens to the HQ camera. 3. Power up your Pi. Part 2: Manual Focus In this section we will set up our HQ camera to take photos. 1. Boot your Raspberry Pi. If you don’t already have a microSD card see our article on how to set up a Raspberry Pi for the first time or how to do a headless Raspberry Pi install. 2. Enable camera in your Raspberry Pi configuration. From the desktop, click the Raspberry icon, hover over Preferences, then click Raspberry Pi Configuration. Select the Interfaces tab and Enable Camera.

Fortnite: The Last Laugh Will Let You Be The Joker, Baby The DLC pack will be available this November and includes outfits for a few iconic DC villains. Epic Games is bringing even more DC action to Fortnite this fall. In collaboration with Warner Bros. Interactive, the game will feature Fortnite: The Last Laugh bundle, a digital package containing 1,000 V-Bucks, comic skins, Back Bling, Pickaxes, and more. Coming November 17 and available on Fortnite for all platforms, The Last Laugh Bundle is villain-themed. It includes The Joker, Poison Ivy, and Midas Rex outfits along with the Laugh Riot, Back Bloom, and Midas Crest Back Bling. Additionally, you get the Ivy Axe, Kingmaker, Bad Joke, and Joker's Revenge Pickaxes and the Pick a Card Contrail. With so much of Fortnite's comic-themed content focused on heroes so far, it's a breath of fresh air to be able to sport some of the most iconic villains' look in battle royale. Of course, you might not be able to do so on every device. Epic Games is currently in a legal battle with Google and Apple after the game was removed from the Google Play store and the App Store. The removal came soon after Epic Games circumvented the two companies' payment systems for a direct payment system, avoiding paying a share of the profits to Apple and Google. Fortnite is going to be available on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 when they launch this holiday season, as well. We still don't have final release dates, but do know Xbox Series X is coming at some point in November.

Jaguar Land Rover UK bailout talks fall through, report says government have ended, leaving both companies to rely on private financing to overcome the impact of coronavirus on business, the Financial Times reported. Talks for an emergency funding fell through as Jaguar Land Rover did not qualify for taxpayer support, the paper said. Jaguar Land Rover also was unwilling to accept decarbonization requirements that would have forced the automaker to accelerate its program of vehicle electrification and phase out the diesel cars that still make up most of its fleet, the Financial Times said, citing a source with knowledge of the discussions. The bailout plan, titled "Project Birch," had been authorized by U.K. Finance Minister Rishi Sunak in May to rescue companies that are seen as strategically important, with the Treasury saying it may step in to support crucial businesses on a "last resort" basis after other options run out. The report, citing a source familiar with the matter, said that the funding scheme became infeasible for Tata as it imposed strict conditions on any lending. "Tata Steel remains in ongoing and constructive talks with the U.K. Government on areas of potential support," Tata Steel said in an emailed statement. The U.K. Treasury said it would not comment on individual companies. Tata Motors did not immediately respond to request for comment. Jaguar Land Rover parent Tata Motors and Tata Steel are both owned by Indian conglomerate Tata Group. Tata bought JLR from Ford Motor in 2008. Jaguar Land Rover increased its savings target for this year to 2.5 billion pounds ($3.3 billion) after booking a 413 million-pound pre-tax loss for the quarter that ended in June. The automaker has entered into agreements with lenders in China for a secured term loan facility of 5 billion yuan ($704.5 million), its first debt financing in China. Former Renault CEO Thierry Bollore will replace Ralf Speth as JLR boss on Sept. 10. Speth, who turns 65 in September, will retire from the post and become the automaker's non-executive vice chairman.

What next for dysfunctional Barcelona after Champions League humiliation? Bayern Munich, to illustrate just how bad this was, had practically reduced Gerard Pique to tears. The Barcelona centre-half’s voice was shaking as he attempted to find the words for that debacle, in a manner that was at least more successful than his attempts to find Bayern’s forwards. “This is the bottom,” Pique eventually said. And yet the great problem for Barca is that, unless there’s significant change, this feels like it can get a lot worse. They are directionless. It was so bad that a scoreline of 8-2 actually felt a bit within Bayern, as if it could have been greater, and ensured the story of Barca’s decline completely overshadowed the potential rise of the new European champions. The Catalans led the headlines after the game. Disaster, in that regard, is much more compelling as a story. “Disaster” is also the word president Josep Bartomeu used on Spanish TV. That was another indication of how bad it was. The president felt the need to front up. He knows many of the questions – even some of the criticisms about “the need for change” articulated by Pique – will be specifically addressed to him. Many around the club will willingly say it’s specifically Bartomeu’s disaster. Others are hoping Lionel Messi – who, to be fair, was mostly poor on the night – will leverage his power to initiate change. These are of course all comments we’ve heard before, which also points to the problem. Barca have completely deviated from the model that made them an ideal for all Europe a decade ago, and ended up buying big ill-fitting names rather than players that fit into a principle. They became exactly the type of super-club they were supposed to stand against, only with even more dysfunction. Barca’s decline over the last half-decade has by now been well told, and can be traced through their Champions League eliminations, and some of the line-ups involved. Each of the last four years has involved at least one individual thrashing, and some curious line-ups not befitting Barca. They’ve also cost almost a billion in transfer fees in that time

What is the difference between Plasma and Serum? Plasma and serum are two elements of blood that are commonly thought to be the same thing, however, they are indeed different substances. In this article, we’ll go over what Plasma and Serum are and the key differences between them. What is Plasma? Plasma makes up about 55% of the overall blood volume. It is the liquid portion of blood and is 90% water. Other than water, plasma also contains fibrinogen (which contributes to the normal clotting of blood) and albumin (which acts to keep fluid in your bloodstream and prevent leaking into other tissues). The purpose of plasma in the blood is to transport all the proteins, nutrients, antibodies, hormones etc. all over the body. As the plasma races around the body, cells will deposit their waste into the plasma, which contributes to another job of the plasma: waste removal. What is Serum? Put simply, serum is plasma minus the clotting factors and blood cells. During the process of removing the clotting factors (achieved by centrifugation), the protein fibrinogen as described above is converted to fibrin. Fibrin is an insoluble protein that is used to assist in the repair of tissue damage by forming a clot over the wound which acts to hinder the flow of blood. What is the difference between Plasma and Serum? A key difference between plasma and serum is that plasma is liquid, and serum is fluid. While most of the components are the same for both plasma and serum, plasma contains fibrinogen which is absent in serum. Both plasma and serum can be extracted from blood with the use of a centrifuge but it’s worth noting that serum is obtained after the clotting of blood, while plasma can be obtained before the coagulation of the blood. Serum is mostly used for blood typing but is also used for diagnostic testing. Plasma on the other hand, is mostly used for blood-clotting related problems.
