Incredible Cyberpunk Photography Game Umurangi Generation Announces Switch Port And DLC There's more Umurangi Generation coming, and you'll be able to play it on the go. Umurangi Generation, one of 2020's slightly under-the-radar gems, is coming to Switch. What's more, owners of the game on PC will be able to expand their experience with a new DLC pack, titled Macro. Umurangi Generation is a cyberpunk photography game, set in a low-fi world that glows red and is rife with corruption. It was inspired, in part, by Australian bushfires and numerous current world events. It'll come to Switch before the end of the year. A first-look trailer for the DLC was shown during a stream by indie publisher Playism. There will be new equipment to unlock, and you can now glide about with rollerblades, taking photos of new targets. The trailer also features a nod to GameSpot's review: the game received a 9/10. The DLC will release on November 7 for PC, and cost $10. A Switch release date has not been announced.

GPU Bot Battle: Average Gamers Turn to Bots to Score an RTX 3080 Gamers are going to war with scalpers with RTX 3080-purchasing bots of their own. Tired of scalper bots claiming all the RTX 3080 stock the instant it goes live? Want to pre-order the new best graphics cards without needing to pay a several thousand dollar markup every time they launch? Now some gamers are turning to bots of their own to pounce on RTX 3080 cards as soon as they're available, thanks to Reddit users u/anewchange (Ian Armour on Github) and u/lordhenry85. But know that if you choose to join them, you might be opening Pandora's box in the process. "After the debacle that was the launch last week of the 3080 and the aggressive attempts by scalpers to resell 3080s," Armour posted to the Nvidia subreddit late Sunday evening, "I decided to take some time to write a tool to help interested buyers get their hands on one of the 3000 series GPUs." Armour's bot works by continually monitoring the inventory status of RTX 3000 series cards on Nvidia's website and automatically adding one to your cart as soon as it becomes available. You can also configure the bot to send you SMS messages when inventory goes live. Lordhenry85's bot, which they posted to r/pcmasterrace late Sunday as well, is similar but runs locally on their computer and simply posts inventory updates to Twitter under the name BotRtx. It also checks a wider variety of stores, including Newegg, Nvidia, Amazon, B&H, EVGA and Best Buy. Neither bot will actually complete a purchase for you, so you'll have to finish your order manually. But the idea is to give "normal people" a chance to fight back against scalpers. Reactions on Reddit were initially positive- one commenter on the Nvidia subreddit said, "fighting fire with fire, I like it." But both bots broke the rules of their respective subreddits, and have since had their announcement posts taken down. Upon thinking a little harder about the bots, it's not hard to see why. Armour's bot is open source on Github and doesn't cost anything, while scalper bots run by organizations like Bounce Alerts cost a $75 per month subscription. It's not hard to imagine scalpers reverse-engineering bots meant to fight them and turning them into free tools for them to use instead. Which, in turn, could create even more scalpers. But it's an arms race, given how quickly scalpers claimed all of the 3080 stock once it went live. Even the average person might have to get their hands dirty to try to buy exciting new tech products at launch now. Some creators are more cautious about escalating the conflict than others - the thought of making bots mandatory to keep up with the tech landscape is why lordhenry85 didn't make their bot available to download. But others are less optimistic about the future. "Hey if you can't beat em, join em," Armour posted in reply to a Reddit comment on their bot. "And make sure everybody else can too." I never expected graphics cards to be what led to Skynet. Or, should I say, Buynet?

Po[CENSORED]r password manager could have a critical vulnerability Researcher argues auto-updates could allow for remote code execution A security researcher has discovered a new vulnerability in a po[CENSORED]r password manager that could allow for remote code execution. The password manager in question is Bitwarden and the vulnerability resides in the company's desktop app which automatically downloads updates and replaces its own code with these updates without user intervention. Co-founder of Keytern.al Jeffrey Paul argues that the company's developers could leverage its automatic updates to install backdoors into every single installation of the password manager and steal all of the passwords stored in every desktop user's database. We've put together a list of the best business password management software These are the best password generators on the market Keep your devices protected online with the best antivirus software In a post on GitHub, Jeffrey Paul provided further insight into the fact that Bitwarden would grant its developers full remote code execution, saying: “The fact that, of all things, a password manager would grant FULL REMOTE CODE EXECUTION to its developers is insane. The very fact that you would ship a feature like this means you are in no way qualified to hold keys or authentication credentials that allow you to publish a new version that could, at your sole option, backdoor everyone's installations and steal all the passwords of every single user of this software.” Paul also makes the point that a third party could convince Bitwarden's developers to add a backdoor to the company's password manager. For instance, if someone had information on the developers, they could blackmail them into adding a backdoor or they could even pay them to do so as well. It's a feature not a vulnerability Bitwarden's password manager isn't the only software that downloads and installs updates on its own as Windows 10 does this as well for Windows Updates. However, by giving users the ability to reject updates all together, software makers could put them at risk as updates are often used to patch vulnerabilities. TechRadar Pro reached out Bitwarden regarding Jeffrey Paul's post on GitHub and a company spokesperson explained that it does not view the way its software handles updates as a vulnerability but rather as the way in which modern applications keep their large user bases up to date with the latest and most secure software in the simplest and fastest way. Bitwarden sees auto-updating of its applications as a critical security component for the 99.9 percent of its user base that appreciates them. There has also never been a case where its auto-updates have been compromised in any way. Additionally, Bitwarden plans to add an auto-update option where users can toggle automatic updates on or off depending on their own preferences. At the same time, the company has committed to rigorous third party auditing to ensure the security of its software and services. We've also highlighted the best password manager

Among Us Is Really, Really Po[CENSORED]r Right Now Downloads on Steam and mobile are soaring for the 2-year-old indie game. Indie game Among Us has exploded in po[CENSORED]rity recently. According to SensorTower, Among Us earned 18.4 million mobile downloads in August, almost eight times as many downloads from its July count of 2.4 million downloads. The game earned another 41.9 million mobile downloads in September, proving its meteoric growth in the last two months. On Steam, Among Us is also one of the most po[CENSORED]r games on the platform, and 268,000 players are currently active. This is despite the game not even being remotely new. In fact, it's two years old. Among Us was released in 2018 by InnerSloth and is a multiplayer party game. Four to ten players take on the role of spaceship crew members preparing for a departure. However, a few players in the party are randomly assigned the role of alien imposters. The imposters' goals are to kill and frame crewmembers, sabotage the ship, and do it all without getting caught. Among Us shares a similar setup to other po[CENSORED]r real-life party games like Werewolf and Mafia. A similar concept was used in the Garry's Mod mode Trouble in Terrorist Town. In this mode, team members had to work together to deduct who was a traitor while a smaller group picked them off one by one. Twitch streamers have generally been attributed for spreading the good word about Among Us. The multiplayer party game is highly po[CENSORED]r on the platform and as a category, has 247,000 viewers, which places it ahead of other po[CENSORED]r titles like Fortnite and Minecraft. Po[CENSORED]r Twitch personalities like Sodapoppin, Pewdiepie, Shroud, Ninja, and many more have played the multiplayer party game.

How to Build a $350 Gaming PC That Can Play AAA Games? A GTX 1650 GPU, SSD and 16GB of RAM make a budget powerhouse. While the budget you need to get into pc gaming is not astronomical, even a cheap gaming PC is more expensive than most modern consoles. We’ve shown that you can build a sub-$500 gaming rig, but what if that’s beyond your budget? Using a combination of new and used parts, you can build a very capable gaming PC for only $350. So...how exactly do we build a gaming pc for only $350? The answer to that question is simple! We buy a preowned desktop computer that's several years old and upgrade the main components. Most of the affordable pre-owned desktops you'll find are office computers utilizing the Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge, or Haswell platform. Although these architectures have aged, they still offer adequate performance at a great price. $100 often gets you an i5 2000 or 3000 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a hard drive all enclosed in a case. Throw in an SSD and a modern video card, and you have yourself a solid gaming computer without breaking the bank! We ordered an HP Compaq Elite 8200 for $145 shipped on eBay. This serves as the base for upgrades, but it is in amazing shape already. Other great alternatives are the Dell Optiplex Series and the Lenovo Thinkcentre series. Just make sure the case is a mini-tower (MT) model if you want to use full-height video cards. Here are the components we used for our $350 gaming PC. Some came with the HP Compaq Elite 8200 and others we bought separately as upgrades.

Haryana farmers block roads, copies of farm bills burnt in Punjab Chandigarh: Farmers on Sunday blocked roads in Haryana and burnt effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in neighbouring Punjab, protesting against the farm bills passed in Parliament. Farmers occupied portions of roads and highways at several places in Haryana between 12 and 3 pm, following a call given by the state unit of the Bhartiya Kisan Union against the agri-marketing bills, two of which were passed in Rajya Sabha on Sunday. After 3 pm, reports said the road blockades were lifted, ending the day’s protests in which BKU was also supported by several other farmer organisations. In Ambala, Haryana Police used water cannons at the state’s border to stop Punjab Youth Congress workers from entering the district and travelling ahead to Delhi as part of their “tractor rally". Punjab protesters set fire to one of their own tractors when they were forced to end their rally at the Haryana border, police said. Farmers were joined by 'arhitiyas' -- or the commission agents at ‘mandis’ --during their protests at many places in Haryana. There was heavy police deployment across the state, particularly where the bigger gatherings were expected. Police diverted traffic to alternative routes. Executive magistrate were stationed along with police at many protest venues. Ambala-Nahan national highway near Naraingarh, Jind-Patiala and Jind-Delhi roads near Julana and Sonipat-Gohana highway were among the roads blocked in Haryana. Traffic was also disrupted on Ambala-Chandigarh highway due to the protests by the Punjab Youth Congress activists. But there was no blockade on the Ambala-Delhi road. The situation at the Haryana-Punjab border was tense for a while as Youth Congress activists were bent upon moving on the national highway towards Delhi. But the spot was heavily barricaded by police, who also used water cannons to disperse the protesters. Farmers at several places in Punjab burnt effigies and copies of the farm bills, claiming that the new laws will destroy their livelihood. The three bills are aimed at giving farmers the choice to sell their produce at competitive prices. But many farm organisations fear they will lead to the dismantling of the minimum support price (MSP) system. Varun Chaudhary, the Haryana Congress MLA from Mullana in Ambala who joined the protest at Mandour village near Panjokhra Sahib in Ambala district, said the bills were not a “shield for farmers" but for hoarders. Independent MLA from Meham, Balraj Kundu, who protested in Rohtak and Charkhi Dadri districts, claimed the bills will benefit corporates. “From October 2, I will sit on a fast to protest against these anti-farmer measures," he said. In Yamunanagar, Haryana BKU chief Gurnam Singh said, “It is the country's misfortune that despite the farmers' protest these bills were passed." He called it a “murder of democracy". “Laws are for people and if they are the ones who are protesting then for whose benefit have they been passed?" he said. “These laws are not pro-farmers as the government claims, but the big corporates will benefit." He said the statewide protest was peaceful and 17 farmers' organisations extended their support. Punjab Congress chief Sunil Jakhar, who also joined the Youth Congress protesters, said all parties except the Akali Dal and the BJP are with the farmers. He slammed Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal, accusing him of earlier supporting these "black laws". The SAD has pulled out of the Union government in protest against the bills. Joining the tractor rally, Indian Youth Congress president Srinivas B V said his party stands shoulder to shoulder with the farmers. “This government wants to destroy 80 crore families. Former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri gave the 'Jai Jawan-Jai Kisan' slogan, but under the present regime the farmers are ruined," Srinivas said. Haryana Congress president Kumari Selja said when a Congress-led government comes to power the law will be repealed. The party will hold protests on Monday against the “anti-farmer" bills at district headquarters across Haryana. On Sunday, Rajya Sabha passed the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020, and the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020. The bills were passed by Lok Sabha on Thursday. A third bill is yet to be passed in Rajya Sabha. This story has been published from a wire agency feed without modifications to the text.

What Do AM and PM Stand For? Some countries, including the US, Canada, and Australia, use the 12-hour clock format including am and pm. What do these abbreviations mean? Is midnight am or pm? Two 12-Hour Periods The 12-hour system divides the 24 hours of a day into two periods lasting 12 hours each. The first 12-hour period is designated as am. It runs from midnight to noon. The second period, marked pm, covers the 12 hours from noon to midnight. The abbreviations am and pm derive from Latin: AM = Ante meridiem: Before noon PM = Post meridiem: After noon Using numbers from 1 to 12, followed by am or pm, the 12-hour clock system identifies all 24 hours of the day. For example, 5 am is early in the morning, and 5 pm is late in the afternoon; 1 am is one hour after midnight, while 11 pm is one hour before midnight. Ante meridiem is commonly denoted as AM, am, a.m., or A.M.; post meridiem is usually abbreviated PM, pm, p.m., or P.M. Like many other sources, timeanddate.com uses am and pm, but the other variants are equally correct and widely used.

Fortnite Gatherer Locations: Where To Destroy Gatherers (Week 4 Guide) You'll need to destroy twenty floating bots to complete the new Gatherers challenge. Fortnite's Week 4 challenges are going to send you on more bot-hunting quests. Two challenges this week pit you up against Gatherers, floating bots that spawn randomly throughout the map. One challenge tasks you with destroying Gatherers while a second one needs you to deal damage with a Gatherer's remains. In this guide, we'll show you how to find Gatherers, how to destroy them, and then how to use them as a weapon. Keep on reading to learn exactly how to do it. You'll need to stay on your toes. Both of these challenges leaked ahead of going live. You can complete them in Fortnite as of September 17. This challenge in particular should be a little bit more difficult. Don't get yourself killed trying to complete it! There are two types of floating robots that you'll encounter this season. The first is a large one called a Gorger shown in the image above. These bots spawn somewhere on the map and can be located by finding a large red beam that is shooting directly up. Head towards the beam to find a Gorger. These Gorgers spawn smaller robots called Gatherers. Both robots will shoot beams of energy at you, although the Gorger's weapons are far stronger and will take you out if you're not careful. The Gorger will continue to spawn Gatherers until it's destroyed. You should let it spit out twenty of the smaller robots before destroying it so you can complete the challenge. Gatherers will fall to the ground for a few seconds after you eliminate them. You'll need to pick one up quickly in order to complete the second challenge, deal damage with a Gatherer's remains, before it explodes. One good strategy is to use Gatherer remains to fight the Gorger in order to deal the 10,000 points of damage required to complete the challenge. Luckily Gorgers are tanks with a ton of health, although you can deal damage to other bots and players too. What Will I Get For Completing These Challenges? You'll get 25,000 experience points for destroying 20 Gatherers and 50,000 experience points for dealing 10,000 damage points with their remains. Be sure to check out our guides on how to hack Stark Robots at Stark Industries and destroy collector cases at The Collection. Don't forget to complete every weekly Wolverine challenge as well. And if you are looking forward to play the game on next-gen systems, Epic Games has you covered. The game got a new trailer for PS5 at the console's latest showcase.
