  1. In its eight edition, the WeXchange organizes an annual forum that provides women entrepreneurs in Latin America and the Caribbean to expand their network of contacts, access mentors and investors. The innovation laboratory of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group, IDB Lab, and venture capital firm Angel Ventures announced this Wednesday the eighth edition of WeXChange, a forum aimed at women entrepreneurs in Latin America and the Caribbean (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), which this time will be virtual. According to the organizers, the forum will be held virtually, as part of the new normal due to the COVID-19 pandemic, on November 10, 11 and 12 with the support of the Financing Initiative for Women Entrepreneurs ( We-Fi). Contest category This year's competition has two categories: Seed (startups that have at least one minimum viable product and have achieved initial traction in the market), and Pre-Series A, Series A / B (startups that have validated their product- market fit and are positioned to scale the company regionally or globally). Six finalists will be selected for each category and will make a pitch before the jury of international investors. Then, the IDB Lab will choose a finalist in the Series A / B category that will receive financing of up to US $ 1 million (in capital investment, SAFE, convertible note or debt). While two finalists in the Seed category will be selected to access a fast track in the selection process of 500 Startups Latam for their potential participation in the seed capital acceleration and investment program. Finally, the contestants in both categories will also have premium access to regional venture capital funds such as ALLVP, Carao Ventures, Cometa, Dila Capital, Magma Partners, Maya Capital, NXTP Ventures and Vulcano for consideration of potential investment due diligence. The organizers added that, with this forum for female entrepreneurs, they will have the opportunity to expand their network of contacts, access mentors and investors, receive training on key issues to develop their startups. The objective of the “Women STEMpreneurs Competition” is to identify and recognize ventures that have at least one woman in the founding team, with a strong component of technology and innovation, and with the potential to achieve scale and social and / or environmental impact. Those interested in applying have until August 23 to register at the following link http://wexchange.co/ and can find more information about the activities on Facebook @WexchangeCommunity and on twitter @WeXchange.

  3. Linux's creator Linus Torvalds has released a new version of the Linux kernel following seven release candidates. While he did consider creating an eighth release candidate for Linux 5.8 last week, on Sunday Torvalds decided "it's not just worth waiting another week when there aren't any big looming worries around”. Linux 5.8 succeeds the latest stable Linux Kernel 5.7 and includes all of the changes that were pulled out during the kernel 5.8 merge windows. As Linux 5.8 received a surprisingly high number of merge requests during its merge window, Torvalds said that it is one of the biggest Linux releases yet in terms of the number of commits and close to Linux 4.9. Linux 5.8 When it comes to new changes and features, Linux Kernel 5.8 includes several updates that address security, memory management, hardware support, new drivers and more. Some of the standout additions include Thunderbolt 4.0 support, improved Arm-64 security, support for booting on Power 10 CPUs and an energy driver for AMD's recent CPUs. Linux 5.8 also adds improvements to open-source AMD Radeon graphics drivers and Microsoft exFAT drivers. Users interested in downloading the latest Linux kernel version can download it from the official page. However, it will still take some time for the kernel to find its way into other po[CENSORED]r Linux distros such as Ubuntu, Arch Linux and Linux Mint.

  5. The new generation of the SUV will officially appear next year. Yesterday we were just telling you about Mitsubishi's plans for the coming years, about the hard sacrifices it will have to make to get out of the crisis, including the disappearance of the iconic Montero. But we also told you that new models were on the way. And here we will tell you something of what we know about a really important one: the fourth generation of the Outlander will see the light in 2021. The model has already been on the market for two decades. The first generation was unveiled at the 2000 Detroit Auto Show, and was replaced in 2006 by a model that also gave life to the Peugeot 4007 and Citroën C-Crosser. The current generation was premiered at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, and since then it has received two facelift in 2015 and 2018, which have kept it valid until today. The brand has already announced that the new Outlander will be released in the second quarter of 2021, and photos of camouflaged cars have begun to circulate, doing the rigor tests. And some media, taking information emanating from Mitsubishi itself and using their own imagination, already visualize what this fourth iteration would be like. For now, it is said that it would be the production version of the conceptual Engelberg Tourer, the PHEV crossover released a year ago in Geneva. A few months ago, Mitsubishi NorthAmerica announced that the new model will have three seat rows, be larger and more robust than its predecessor, and "will be the most equipped model the brand has sold in the United States." They also indicated that it will incorporate Mitsubishi's newest design language. What the render shows us is a very aggressive and robust design, with a more quadriform format than seen so far, and with an evolution of the front in the form of X (Dynamic Shield), headlights divided into three units (a very thin one above and another big one in the middle). High waist, two-tone bodywork with a floating roof effect, large wheels and a flat bonnet complete the impression, which is aligned with the Engelberg Tourer and with several other production models of the brand. It is not yet known how it will be configured in its mechanics, but we already bet on a PHEV version that has given Mitusbishi such good dividends. The e-Yi concept presented in Shanghai (an evolution of the Engelberg) showed a hybrid system consisting of a 2.4-liter gasoline engine associated with two electric motors, one for each axis, powered by a 20 kWh battery, for a 100% electric range. 70 km.

  6. A strong explosion shook the port of Beirut on Tuesday and left at least 78 dead, more than 4,000 wounded, as well as widespread damage throughout the city. The Lebanese authorities point out that the magnitude of what happened may be due to a large amount of explosives deposited for six years in a warehouse in the port. The country's President Michel Aoun wrote on Twitter that it was "unacceptable" that there were 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate stored in an unsafe manner. However, it is unknown what caused the explosion. Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim, director of General Security, rejected the allegations that Israel was responsible and an Israeli minister told Reuters news agency that the country had nothing to do with the incident. Israel's Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi assured a local television station that the explosion was likely an accident caused by a fire. Videos posted on the internet of those who recorded the smoke show a second explosion, much larger, causing a mushroom cloud. You can also see how buildings are practically destroyed by the shock wave. Lebanon's Prime Minister Hassan Diab called what happened "a great national disaster" and called for international support. "I make an urgent appeal to friendly countries and brothers ... to support Lebanon and help us heal our deep wounds," he said. He also assured that those responsible will be brought to justice and also spoke of the "dangerous warehouse" that had been there since 2014. The explosion takes place days before a controversial verdict in the case of the murder of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri in 2005. A United Nations court will issue its decision on Friday in the trial of four suspects in the Hariri car bomb murder attributed to the Hezbollah movement. During the past few months, Lebanon has experienced increasing political tension, with street protests against the government, which they blame for the worst economic crisis since the 1975-1990 civil war. What is known about the victims? Health Minister Hamad Hasan assured Lebanese national television that he fears that the number of victims will multiply as the hours go by. Meanwhile, the Lebanese Red Cross called for blood donations and reported that numerous people remain trapped in the ruins. According to local media reports, several hospitals were forced to divert the wounded because they were full or too damaged. The Health Ministry called on the doctors to volunteer at the "closest place they can get to," given the situation in hospitals. The Dieu Hospital reported that more than 500 people had entered there and that it could not receive more patients. The Prime Minister announced a "national day of mourning" for this Wednesday. What were the damages? Photos and videos show significant damage to infrastructure throughout the capital, not only in areas surrounding the scene of the incident. A BBC journalist reported from the field that there were numerous bodies and that the damage was serious enough to leave the port out of use. According to the US Seismological Service, the explosion produced an energy similar to that generated by a magnitude 3.3 earthquake, although since it occurred on the surface (and not underground, such as earthquakes), the actual intensity may have been been older. The Internet monitoring service NetBlocks reported that there was a significant interruption in the connection to the network after the explosion, although it noted that the relationship with what happened is not clear. "The disruption may affect the ability to communicate with eyewitnesses at the scene," the company said. "Glass falling from all sides" Hadi Nasrallah, a witness to the explosion tells the BBC what he experienced "I saw the fire, but I still didn't know there was going to be an explosion. We got into the car and suddenly lost my hearing because it was apparently too close. I knew something was wrong. And then suddenly, the glass of the car broke, the windows of the cars that surrounded us, those of the shops, the buildings. Just glass falling from everywhere, buildings shaking. " What is ammonium nitrate? Ammonium nitrate, like the one that was stored in the port of Beirut, has different uses, but the two most common are as agricultural fertilizer and as an explosive. It is highly explosive in contact with fire and when it explodes it can generate toxic gases, including ammonium gas and nitrogen oxide. Because it is so flammable there are strict rules on how to store it. For example, that the place is well protected against fires and that there are no drains, pipes or other conduits in which ammonium nitrate can accumulate and create an additional risk of explosion. How big was the explosion? Local media and witnesses said that the explosion left destroyed buildings and broken glass practically throughout the capital. Residents of Cyprus, an island some 240 km from Beirut, also said they felt the blast wave. A resident of the Cypriot capital, Nicosia, told Reuters news agency that his house was shaken and Cypriot journalist Emilia Papadopoulos claimed on Twitter that she felt the explosion in the city of Limassol and thought it was an earthquake. Shock and anxiety By Sebastian Usher, BBC Arab Affairs Analyst The videos and images - not only of the huge cloud of smoke that erupted in Beirut, but also of the damage and devastation it caused from miles away - have unleashed a new wave of shock and anxiety in Lebanon, which is already on the brink of a catastrophic economic collapse. Just hours before the explosion, anti-government protesters had clashed with security forces outside the Ministry of Energy to once again demand accountability from the country's leaders. For months, there have been serious warnings of street hunger or a revival of sectarian conflict if the economy continues to worsen. And the explosion will remind many of the bomb that killed Rafik Hariri. The Lebanese will hope that this latest explosion remains a human tragedy, an accident, and not a premeditated act. "Hard to imagine a worse time" Rami Ruhayem, BBC journalist in Beirut It is never a good time for terror to strike a city, but for Beirut it is hard to imagine a worse time than this. With coronavirus infections on the rise, hospitals are having trouble caring for the sick. And now they face thousands of wounded. In addition, hundreds of people have been displaced with their homes burned to ashes in seconds. Lebanon imports most of its food; Its economy has been in free fall for almost a year and fears are growing that a situation of food insecurity will occur. Now, all the grain stored in the port, site of the explosion, has been lost. The port itself "no longer exists," an authority said. When the shock wears off, the impact will remain for a long time. What have been the reactions? After the explosion, numerous world leaders reacted to the news. Among them: In a message on Twitter, Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al Sisi said he sent his "deepest condolences and sympathies" to his brothers in Lebanon, adding that he prayed "for the speedy recovery of the wounded and to comfort the families of the victims. " The White House and the State Department indicated that Donald Trump is closely monitoring the situation. European Council President Charles Michel said the EU "is ready to provide assistance and support" and added that his thoughts were with the people of Lebanon and the families of the victims. UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said his country "was in solidarity with the people of Lebanon" Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades indicated that he was "ready to provide any assistance deemed necessary", while sharing "deep condolences" with the people of Lebanon and the people directly affected.

  8. When asked to picture a desktop case in your mind, you probably imagine a cube or prism-shaped chassis. Azza's latest case, the Pyramid 806, throws those expectations out the window with a sleek pyramid design. This isn't the first case from Azza to feature this design. The Pyramid 804 case, released late last year, had the same shape but was much larger and could support ATX motherboards. The new Pyramid 806 has a smaller form factor and is designed to house Mini-ITX motherboards. The motherboard is placed horizontally in the case. There is room for up to two 2.5" HDDs. The unit only supports SFX power supplies which can be mounted to the bottom of the case. There is room for a 120mm fan at the top, you can use the included Hurricane II Digital RGB fan, or replace it with your own. The company also says you can sub in a 120mm AIO. Each side of the pyramid is covered with tempered glass except for a small window at the bottom. This allows for airflow to travel up from the bottom of the case to the top fan. The case isn't due to release until November 2020. Early listings have the price listed at €249.90 ($293.99). If abstract designs like the Pyramid 806 are partial to your taste, you may want to keep an eye out for this case to be released. Get notifications from Tom's Hardware?

  9. The war of medium-sized pick-ups promises to burn and now it will not only be a question of power. We talk a lot about the next Ford Ranger, a pick-up that is produced at various plants around the world, including the one in Pacheco, Argentina. We know that VW was unplugged from the shared project, but now the "gossip" is that the oval would get down the drain ... literally speaking. New range of engines According to the Australian site Car Expert Ford would leave out the 3.2-liter 5-cylinder TDi engine in favor of the 2.0-liter 213 Hp biturbo diesel, like the one we saw in the Ranger Raptor. While not what low-end torque lovers want, the EcoBlue four-cylinder is lighter, should consume less, and would meet stricter anti-pollution standards. At the base of the pyramid should be the 2.2 TDi 160 horsepower, but the real surprise comes the top of the range. V6 of the F-150 One of the proposals will be that the top of the range of the new Ford Ranger adopt the 3.0L V6 TDi of the F-150 that delivers 252 Ho. However, there is room for one more novelty ... Stronger than vinegar Those who know the global market for pick-ups will know that the US version of the Ranger is a 2.3-liter turbocharged gas station, delivering 270 Hp and 420 Nm. Now there is talk of a plug-in hybrid version of that mechanics with the encapsulated electric motor inside the transmission, which would bring power to 365 Hp and torque to almost 600 Nm. Thus, Ford would have a contender for every threat, from the Amarok V6 to the next Hilux, which would also have a hybrid version. Regarding the design, it has been written a lot that the future Ranger would look a lot like the F-150, and for this reason we leave you this teaser made in India, which we really like.

  10. Some lawmakers from the United States and former ministers and presidents in Latin America have publicly expressed their opposition to Claver-Carone, although he is the favorite to win the September 12 elections and has the support of at least 15 countries. The head of foreign policy of the European Union (EU), Josep Borrell, has asked for a delay in the vote to elect the new president of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), a closely watched election that has generated controversy due to the presentation of the first candidacy of an American. In a July 30 letter seen by Reuters, Borrell cited the coronavirus pandemic and the nomination of President Donald Trump's aggressive Latin American adviser, Mauricio Claver-Carone, as reasons to postpone the vote until after March. "This postponement is more advisable if we consider the presentation, without precedents, of a candidacy to preside over the Bank by the Government of the United States," Borrell wrote in the letter to Spanish Foreign Minister Arancha González Laya. The letter underscores a growing controversy surrounding the Claver-Carone nomination, known for his tough stance on Venezuela and Cuba. Some Latin American officials said they saw his candidacy as the breach of a long-standing unwritten agreement that hands over the IDB presidency, an essential credit institution for the region, to a Latin American. Some lawmakers from the United States and former ministers and presidents in Latin America have publicly expressed their opposition to Claver-Carone, although he is the favorite to win the September 12 elections and has the support of at least 15 countries. Two Argentine government officials told Reuters that Buenos Aires, which has its own candidate, would be in favor of postponing the IDB elections. But with just over 11% of the voting power, they would need the support of other countries to delay the election. Claver-Carone rejected the idea that Europe would oppose his candidacy in an interview last week, saying he was already in contact with European leaders about future plans. "Do you think Europe is going to look at the majority of the region, which has already come out publicly in support of our candidacy, and say, 'Oh, we're going to go with a country in the region against the overwhelming majority of the region ? The perception of that would be horrible, "Claver-Carone said. The IDB allows its executive vice president to take office on an interim basis if the president's term ends before a new chief is elected. The IDB and the United States Government did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Borrell's letter.

  14. We're coming up to an expensive time of year. The kids may be heading back to school, or you may be getting ready for college or university yourself. There's a lot to think about – and a lot to spend money on. In addition to clothes or uniform, there are textbooks to buy, stationery and, of course, you'll need a student laptop. But a computer no good without software, and this can be a whole new world of expense – software can cost a small fortune. It doesn't have to be that way, though. While there are some big-name software titles out there that are expensive, there are also plenty of alternatives that cost nothing – and there are lots of free tools from big companies as well. Here we take a look at some of the best free, and genuinely useful software, that can help save students and parents a nice chunk of money that can be put to better use. LibreOffice A superb free, Microsoft-compatible office suite But perhaps the real beauty of LibreOffice is not just the fact that it is free, but is free for everyone. Home users can use it, as can student, businesses and just about anyone else. This is a perfect example of a pieces of software demonstrating that great things need not cost the Earth. It is impossible to imagine spending very long without using an office suite, and the default choice that people opt for is Microsoft Office. But there is really no need to pay a monthly, annual, or even a one-off cost for your software – LibreOffice is available free of charge. Not only is the software completely free, it is also a genuinely viable rival to Microsoft Office. LibreOffice is not only a rival to Microsoft Office, it is also fully compatible with the famous office suite. Unlike other free office suites such as WPS Office, LibreOffice is free of advertising and still includes a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation tool, and even a database, formulae app and a vector graphics editor. In terms of the interface, LibreOffice is similar to pretty much any other office suite out there, although it has opted for a rather more retro, non-ribbon toolbar that may be preferable to fans of the older look of Office. Zoom Stay in touch with friends and family, or conduct remote meetings and lessons Providing you have a laptop or desktop PC with a webcam – or even just a phone or tablet with a reasonable camera – Zoom offers a great way to hold video calls and meetings. Whether you’re catching up with friends and family while away from home, or using the app to keep in touch with tutors, the communication and remote working possibilities Zoom provides are brilliant. The software is pleasingly easy to set up, and recent improvements in security mean that locking down your meetings is a simple affair too. The great news for anyone who does not want to pay for video conferencing software is that Zoom lets you hold meetings of up to 40 minutes in length with up to 100 participants – and this should be more than enough for most people. The software is also very versatile, offering not only basic video conferencing, but also screen sharing, scheduling, and privacy features such as background blurring. Google Drive Stores files, backup data and work collaboratively in the cloud There are many benefits to storing your files in the cloud, but two are key. Not only does it make it easier to access your files from just about any computer or device with an internet connection, it also serves as a way of safeguarding your valuable files by having them automatically backed up. There are various cloud storage services available, but Google Drive is one of the best. The software you'll use to synchronise data between your computer and your cloud storage is called Google Backup and Sync, and you can use fine-grain controls to choose precisely which files and folders should be synchronised – of opt to backup your entire computer if you want. Google Drive stands out from many rivals because of the number of platforms it is available for, and the quality of its web apps. You even get access to a cloud-based office suite which is perfect for collaborative work. Should you find that the amount of cloud storage space you're given for free is not quite enough, you can easily upgrade to a paid package – and the prices are surprisingly reasonable, even for relatively large amounts of space. BitDefender Antivirus Free Edition A student-friendly security suite that offers complete protection Every student needs a solid security suite to protect their privacy and keep their work safe from dangers like ransomware that could damage or encrypt crucial essays and reports. BitDefender Antivirus Free Edition is the best free antivirus around – fast and well designed, with excellent detection rates. Its behavioral analysis makes it particularly good at picking up zero-day threats – those that haven't yet been identified and catalogued by its security experts, but have been spotted based on their behaviour. BitDefender Antivirus Free Edition isn't bloated with add-ons that you'll never use, but it does include anti-phishing and anti-fraud tools to keep students safe when they're banking and shopping online. Evernote A cloud-based notebook that's perfect for gathering research in one place When you're researching a project, you need somewhere to keep all your notes and resources. Evernote lets you upload 60MB of data per month (which goes a long way when you're mostly dealing with text), syncs across two devices (the mobile apps are also free), lets you share notes and whole notebooks with friends, and makes everything you've clipped searchable. Evernote also has a web interface, which means your notes are accessible from any device with an internet access – including computers in the IT center or library that don't have the app installed. To get the most from Evernote, we recommend installing the Web Clipper browser extension so you can add whole webpages, bookmarks, or individual articles to your notebooks with a click. EaseUS Todo Backup Free Protect work from accidental deletion, malicious attacks or drive failure Your college work is irreplaceable, so a regular backup routine is essential. You never know when your PC's drive might fail, you could fall victim to a ransomware attack, or your laptop might be lost, broken or stolen on campus. EaseUS Todo Backup Free makes protecting your documents as easy as possible. It can make an image of an entire drive (including the operating system), or just selected files or folders. The first time you start it, it begins backing up your documents folder automatically. After that, the choice is yours. Getting started and setting up a regular schedule is simplicity itself, and restoring from a backup is just as straightforward if the worst happens. WhatsApp Stay in touch with friends and family using any device – mobile or desktop You might already have the mobile app on your phone, but WhatsApp is also available for desktop devices. Just download the app from the Windows Store or iTunes, then scan the QR code on the screen with your phone to log in and sync your messages. WhatsApp's main advantage over most chat apps is its double-ended encryption, which keeps your messages safe from interception. It's no longer just for text conversations either – it also supports video calls, and a recent update added the ability to set up group calls with up to four people. Paint.NET A fantastic, feature-packed photo editor without the price tag You don't have to be working on a design or photography course to need an image editing tool – they're incredible versatile pieces of software that can be used for screen grabbing, logo making, document scanning, photo retouching and so much more. As is so often the case, there is a bewildering choice in this software genre, and it can be near-impossible to find a free program that's powerful enough for demanding users. But Paint.NET is different. Available for both PC and Mac, Paint.NET does great job of competing with the greats such as Paint Shop Pro – and even Photoshop – but remains delightfully accessible. From the offset, this is a powerful piece of software with a great range of tools for you to work with, but support for plugins – and there is a massive and growing selection available – means that it is possible to further extend the capabilities of an already incredible program.

  15. Raspberry Pi OS nags you if you don't change from the default password. When you set up a Raspberry Pi, assuming you're using Raspberry Pi OS, your system will have a default username of "pi" and password of "raspberry." If you enable SSH for remote access, which is necessary if you're doing a headless Raspberry Pi install, the system gives you a nagging warning message if you haven't changed that password. You get a dialog box on the desktop that you have to click to dismiss and a small text notice in the terminal upon login. Obviously, changing your password is good security hygiene on any computer, but if you have a lot of different Pis with different cards in your house and you're not allowing SSH access from outside your local network, maybe you'd prefer the convenience of sticking with the default password so you won't forget what to enter as you move from card to card and Pi to Pi. Fortunately, there's an easy way to disable the SSH password warning dialog box that appears in Raspberry Pi's GUI and the more-subtle warning in the terminal. Here's how. Disable the SSH Password Warning in Raspberry Pi GUI To get rid of the dialog box and the need to click "OK" every time you boot up or log in via VNC, just delete the file sshpwd.sh from the /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE-pi directory. Alternatively you can rename the file, just in case you want to bring it back some day. Or, if for some reason, you want to have fun by changing the error message, you can edit the file and change what the dialog box says. Disable the SSH Password Warning in Terminal The Raspberry Pi SSH password warning you get when you log into terminal is far less obtrusive. You don't have to click anything to make it go away. However, if you want to get rid of it just delete the file sshpwd.sh from the /etc/profile.d folder.

  16. Just launched in Chile, we tested the compact SUV of the German firm, which improves in all aspects. The designation Q in Audi was born in the first decade of the 21st century with the Q7, and makes reference to us that it is a crossover. Soon Audi realized the SUV market was very large, and concentrated on expanding its range and today we have Q2, Q3, Q5, Q7 and Q8. We first met the first Q3 (8U) in 2011. It was manufactured using the Golf V platform and was made outside of Germany, in Spain and also in India, China and Brazil, until it was replaced in 2018. The new generation of Q3 (F3) was presented at the Paris Motor Show in the last third of 2018 and we drive it in Germany. Unlike its predecessor, the new generation is manufactured in Hungary and China, and is developed on the one derivation of the MQB (Modularer Querbaukasten) platform. The new design One of the strengths of the new Q3 is that thanks to the aforementioned platform, the overall measurements increased at all levels except for one, the height, since now the Q3 is 5 mm lower than the previous generation (1.5858 mm). It measures 4,485 mm long (+97 mm) and 1,849 mm wide (+18 mm), and has a wheelbase of 2,681 mm (+78 mm). The capacity of the boot also grew, ranging from 530 to 1,525 liters, either with the second row of functional seat or completely folded down. And a detail that is not noticeable to the naked eye, but appreciated when it comes to putting heavy objects in the cargo area: the cargo port has the lowest threshold. At first glance, this second generation looks more aggressive and sporty than its predecessor. The octagonal grille with a fairly thick frame stands out, very much in tune with the style of its older brothers, the Q7 and Q8, and the completely separate front lights, as well as a redesigned bumper. While there is no radical change in design, the strokes are generally more pronounced, particularly the shoulder line that starts at the headlights, passes through the wheel arches, falls slightly on the doors and rises again towards the back, generating a robust effect. For its part, the LED daytime running lights have a design that resembles an arrow and that same pattern turns flashing and changes to amber when the turn signals or the hazard is operated. The motorization and other specifications Our test version is the 35 TFSI S Tronic, which mounts a four-cylinder 1.4-liter TFSI (Stratified injection turbo) that gives us a power of 150 Hp between 5,000 and 6,000 rpm, the torque is 250 Nm in the range comprised between 1,500 to 3,000 "laps". The transmission is a robotic double clutch called the S Tronic with six gears that sends the pulling force to the front axle only. The brand indicates with this package, the Audi Q3 offers acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 9.6 seconds and a top speed of 211 km / h. The suspension scheme is McPherson on the front axle and multi-link on the rear axle, ensuring good poise. Audi will also offer a sports version 40 TFSI Sport, equipped with a 2.0 turbo engine, with 180 Hp and 320 Nm of torque, associated with a seven-speed gearbox and the quattro all-wheel drive system. Infotainment Behind the scenes we find the already famous Virtual Cockpit, which is nothing more than a 10-inch screen where the basic instruments of the vehicle are graphed. The projection simulates a pair of analog circular dials for the speedometer and tachometer, as well as other vital information such as fuel level. As it is all a virtual projection, the user has a wide spectrum of options and can configure it to their liking, with displays that highlight, for example, the browser instructions in the center of the instrument panel. At the center of the dashboard we find another 8.8-inch touch screen, called by the brand with the four rings as MMI Plus - Multi Media Interface-, from here you can basically control all the system functions, from the selection musical up to the choice of any of the five driving modes. It has connection to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. One of the most plausible details of the Q3 are the daring alcantara sconces on the dash and the door panels - in this case in a harmonious tone with the bodywork - and since we are talking about details, we cannot forget that the lighting The interior can vary in a palette of more than 25 shades, ranging from "anthro" purple to virginal white. Driving As always, the best part. And let's start doing arithmetic: we have a vehicle of a little more than a ton and a half and a small 150-horsepower engine, the result indicates that the power is fair but sufficient, with the exception that said engine is assisted with a turbocharger and with the advantage of having a robotic box that is normally fast in operation. In city circumstances, it complies favorably. The accelerations between traffic light and traffic light at legal speeds is completely compliant, the work of the box is smooth and practically imperceptible, and something that draws attention is that this version carries 18-inch wheels with a profile of 55 wheels, which makes the handling is much smoother and more comfortable, a fact that is appreciated when driving on uneven surfaces, and since the wheel is much higher than the average for Audi SUVs, the danger of breaking it in a pothole is slightly less, although You must trust yourself When we tested the vehicle on the road, we were not disappointed either. It can go over 200 km / h if you have patience. The nasty turbolag is only present in specific situations, for example, if you want to do a passing maneuver, but previously you had to brake suddenly and force us to slow down a lot. So, when accelerating to proceed when overtaking, there is no full turbo pressure and that distressing "lag" accompanies us for a couple of seconds. I really like the tare of the suspension, very Audi. It is relatively firm enough to provide good poise when driving around curves or at a certain speed greater than normal. While the center of gravity is higher than in a car, there's not a lot of body roll, and the Q3 feels poised. But it is also smooth on bad roads, with the ability to cushion quite well. You can tell it's a premium car in this. The quality of assembly is very good, it feels like a robust and well-made vehicle, with a very well-soundproofing of the cabin, and in general it makes you want to do many kilometers above it. There is no complaint of performance and good poise on the road, but let us clarify that it is not a vehicle of quick reactions. The direction is high slow although it is perfect for use in the city. conclusion It is a well-made product, with a good design and good behavior. It improved habitability and load capacity, and provided all versions with a wide level of equipment, which you can review in our catalog. The problem is the price, starting at $ 28,990,000 for the entry-level version, with single-wheel drive and only 150 Hp of power. In favor, there is content, constructive quality and good mechanics.

  17. The measure takes place in the framework of the process of technological modernization and digital transformation arranged by the agency. The Comptroller General of the Republic established the compulsory use of the Electronic Box, as of September, for servers, officials, ex-servers and ex-officials for the notification of the results of government control at the level of all public institutions subject to control at different levels of government. For this purpose, the audit entity makes the eCasilla-CGR computer platform available, which will allow the results of the control processes and administrative procedures that are in charge of the National Control System to be communicated. In this way, the Comptroller has adopted the necessary measures to guarantee the correct functioning of the eCasilla-CGR, as well as the confidentiality and security of the electronic notifications that are sent through the platform. The creation and activation of the electronic box is carried out by means of a mandatory assignment for the officials, servers, as well as for the holders of the public entities of the State. For this, the organs - including the decentralized organs and the Superior Court of Administrative Responsibilities, such as the Organic Units of the Comptroller and the Institutional Control Bodies (OCI) of the entities- will be in charge of coordinating and monitoring compliance. Meanwhile, natural or legal persons who require an electronic box and are not included in the scope of compulsory use, can obtain it through a request for voluntary generation. The electronic notification made by the Comptroller or the OCIs is understood to be validly made at the time that the notification document and electronic documents are deposited in the electronic box assigned to the receiving user, taking effect in said act. The obligatory use of the Electronic Box is given within the framework of the technological modernization and digital transformation process and was established by the Comptroller's Resolution No. 197-2020-CG that approves Directive 008-2020-CG / GTI. Electronic notification guarantees the authentication of the receiving and issuing user; ensures that the content of the electronic notification certificate cannot be read by an unauthorized person; and prevents the electronic notification certificate from being accidentally or intentionally altered. It also prevents the notifying user of the notification card from denying that it has been sent and the receiving user from denying that it has received it; and it grants, through a value-added service, a certain date and time of the issuance of the electronic notification certificate, as well as of the receipt in the electronic box.

  22. Komachi_ensaka recently posted a CU count of AMD's upcoming Navi 21 GPU and this is the same count that has been posted by Chiphell leakers and other various twitter leakers so It is definitely starting to look credible. At 80 CUs you are looking at 5120 stream processor and could be the big Navi that gamers have been waiting for almost 3 years now. AMD's Navi 21 GPU to have 80 CUs according to yet another leak Twitter user _rogame also created a compilation of the leaked specifications and this is a great table for reference purposes: 80 CUs translate to 5120 stream processors (assuming the same ratio as GCN) and if AMD is able to run these at a minimum of 1700 MHz, you are looking at an astounding 17.5 TFLOPs of power. Considering this is 7nm, AMD should easily be able to hit that (unless they run into TBP constraints) although you are still looking at quite a steep power draw of around 300W (not that any gamer in the high-end segment cares about power draw). It is entirely possible that this is the Big Navi that was promised to us almost 2.5 years ago and the one that will deliver to AMD fans the high-end card they have been waiting for. On the other hand, it is also possible that this is a new die that the company prepared and while these graphics cards will obviously more powerful than the RX 5800 series, it is still not Big Navi. Considering we are looking at at least four confirmed launches from AMD where graphics cards are concerned (thanks to EEC fillings), it is very likely that the Open VR entrant we saw recently is one of these. Nomenclature would dictate that the RX 5950 XT (or 6950 XT or whatever AMD decides to call it) be significantly more powerful than any of its younger siblings (like the already-released RX 5700) and going by the steps involved, we can easily see that this is going to be quite a powerful card. AMD's CEO, Dr. Lisa Su, has also promised high-end Radeon RX Navi GPUs. Lisa also mentioned that AMD is heavily investing in ray tracing for their 2020 discrete GPU lineup which would feature the 2nd Generation RNDA architecture with hardware-level integration to support ray-tracing. The features to expect from 2nd Generation RDNA Navi GPUs would be: Optimized 7nm+ process node Enthusiast-grade desktop graphics card options Hardware-Level Ray Tracing Support A mix of GDDR6 and HBM2 graphics cards More power-efficient than First-Gen Navi GPUs AMD's GPU side has been pretty much lackluster over the past couple of years and while the CPU side has made one hell of a comeback, its time for Radeon to shine once again. The last impressive launch that I recall was Hawaii and the RX 5950 XT/6950XT looks like it could restart AMD's competitive streak in the GPU side of things as well. Equipped with a process advantage over its competitors, and with NVIDIA backed into a corner with its expensive Turing chips, this is one of the biggest opportunities for AMD Radeon to shine again.

  23. 70 km.
