Hi again , since the server is getting a success in activity and new players got into the server... by the name of almost all players and myself aka "Harley Quinn" suggest to remove afk players who seeks activity... activity can be done by playing too. Players are getting so angry when the server is 32/32 and whenever a slot is available and join , almost half of the server is afk players... We're waiting 10-20 minutes for a slot to be available to be able to join.. i hope you take that into consideration at least try it for 1 week or so. Thank you for understanding ❤️3 points

Hello there! Thank you for making this suggestion, it is a good suggestion, but, you should understand that, if we kick afk players/Admins they are not going to play, i mean, for example me, i don't have time to play 1.4k per day, 1.4k per day means 1 day, and i have a real life too, i don't want to get suspension or removed cause my activity is not 1.4k a day, no, you have to know that.. And also, Admins should use auto attack if they are afking, most of them don't use it, my opinion is to kick Admins "WHO ARE NOT USING AUTO ATTACK" and only afk without moving. I am against to kick Admins who are using auto attack, i get it, sometimes server is full and you cannot enter, but you should wait.. My other opinion is to kick those bots who are Spectators, they are taking up the slots and server is full because of the bots on spectator... I am against to kick Admins who are using auto attack. I am pro to kick players/Admins who are not using auto attack. Simple and easy, right? That was my opinion. Kind regards, Mindsphere.2 points

I was on at that time. It was fairly evident that you were trying to annoy her, and although you didn't insult, you were being disrespectful. In the 1st pic, you're literally showing yourself telling her to shuuu (I'm assuming that means shut up), so that alone is a reason to receive gag. Report Rejected T/C2 points

Volvo has made clear its intention to fully electrify its range in 2030. To show its commitment it has officially unveiled a product to consider, the Volvo C40 Recharge. It is an all-electric coupe silhouette crossover, building on the CMA platform, and the first model in the company's history to be designed from the ground up as an electric car. Although the Swedish brand claims that this new Volvo C40 Recharge is their first product created from scratch as a fully electric car, they already have the experience of the XC40 Recharge. But let's focus on the new product, its design, technology and what we know about its technical characteristics. The Volvo C40 Recharge is a very striking SUV Coupé It seems that every car with a raised body and a coupe silhouette triumphs, as long as it does not penalize the habitability much. That is why there are not exactly a few brands that are joining this style of SUV coupe. It is precisely to this concept that the Volvo C40 Recharge belongs, but we have to add the striking fact that it is a fully electric model. The front is very recognizable as a product of the brand, especially by the shapes of the bumper and, above all, by the light signature with the famous Thor's hammer. Being an electric car, the front is quite closed, with a covered grille for the occasion. The side view greets us with that SUV coupe silhouette that I mentioned earlier. Therefore, we have a slightly raised body, large wheel arches with plastic protections, protections also on the running boards and a two-tone roof with the typical coupe drop. In this case, the continuity of the roof with the taillights is striking, which can be seen frankly well in the images. Finally, the rear is also somewhat characteristic due to the pilot lights, which create a new lighting signature for the Scandinavian brand. For the rest, it has a double spoiler, very sharp lines and a style that will give a lot to talk about. Meanwhile, the cabin is very similar to the Volvo XC40, at least as far as the dashboard is concerned. Thus, we come across the same central digital display and the infotainment system developed in collaboration with Google, while the instrument cluster is also fully digital. Logically, being an SUV model, it has a high driving position. Created from scratch as an electric vehicle Volvo has taken pretty much the same electrical components in this C40 Recharge as those used in the XC40 Recharge unveiled weeks ago. The new electric SUV coupe announces a range of approximately 420 kilometers, feeding an electric motor on each axle thanks to a 78 kWh battery. Although there may be some surprise, the logical thing would be to think that it will yield the same power as the company's first electric, that is, 408 hp. We will have to wait a few more weeks for the brand to fully confirm it to be completely sure. The specific dimensions of this vehicle have not been disclosed either. But anyway, in theory it is presented as a model for the C-SUV segment. That is why, as in the case of the XC40, this Volvo C40 Recharge should have an approximate length of between 4.4 and 4.5 meters. Exclusive online sale The Volvo C40 Recharge, which will be manufactured from autumn in Ghent, Belgium, will only be marketed online. The brand's goal is to reduce product offering complexity and focus on "attractive shortlisted versions." In any case, don't worry, if you go to a dealer they will make it very easy for you to manage everything from there. When customers purchase a new C40 Recharge, the vehicle will include a convenient customer service package with items such as maintenance, warranty and roadside assistance, as well as insurance and options for recharging at home.1 point

Defeat the Ukrainian Zaporozhje Motor, which forced him to fight thoroughly Barcelona made the fourteenth full in the group stage of the Champions League that ends this Thursday with its fourteenth victory, this one over the Ukrainian Motor Zaporozhje, which forced him to put on his overalls to carry out a game without respite, with 76 goals (42-34) between both teams. The Ukrainian champion was more in the event than a Barça that for three days had secured the first position in their group. The Motor was still fighting for third place and, what possibly mattered most to him, avoiding a more than likely crossing with the Catalans if he exceeds the round of 16. That is why its start was surprising, encouraged by two dozen spectators linked to the club who celebrated each goal with joy. With a very high rhythm, the Motor took the lead (2-4, 4-7, 5-8) with a total efficiency in the launch, forcing Xavi Pascual to stop the game and demand more defensive force from his men. Malasinskas, with his privileged vision of the game, played mischief assisting his teammates and earned an individual marking from Ariño. It had an effect because Barcá began to recover balls, to force the losses of the rival, Pértez de Vargas began to stop and the counterattacks completed the third degree to which the Catalans subjected their rival. With a 14-10 that had reversed the trend, it was the Ukrainian coach who called for the time-out. From there, his team clung to the track avoiding the usual Barcelona sweep when carburetting at its usual revs. The tall pivot Bokhan was unstoppable, but Barça followed suit, with Mem and Ariño equally effective in all their actions. The break recharged the batteries of the two teams that reappeared again willing to give and take without reservation. Malasinskas and Bokhan continued with their particular direct thread and Pascual stopped the match again at 31-26. His team had already surpassed thirty goals, but he put it back to 5: 1 to avoid surprises, because the Motor did not yield. A series of good interventions very followed by Pérez de Vargas allowed him to hit another stretch (33-26), but the Ukrainians held the type and in a last attack they shortened the disadvantage to four (34-30). It was almost impossible that, with fewer bench resources, they could hold out for 60 minutes. Barça was able to get refreshments in the final ten and go straight to quarantine, which Entrerríos transferred twice. A barrier that before any other team would have been a walk. Against the tough Motor it was a hard-fought victory, which highlights the value of what Barça did in this first phase of the Champions League. In the second round, the bottom of group A, the Norwegian Elverum, awaits him. DATA SHEET 42- Barcelona: Pérez de Vargas (Moller); Ariño (5), Aleix Gómez (5, 1p), Mem (8), Cindric (2), Palmarsson (4), Fabregas (2); R. Entrerríos (3), Sorhaindo, Janc (3), N'Guessan (4), Dolenec (4, 2p) Thiagus Petrus, Pascual (1), Frade (1). 34 - Zaporozhje Engine: Marosz (Komok); Gurkovsky, Kubatko (2), Denysov (2), Molina, Horiha (5), Bokhan (11); Babichev, Malasinskas (3), Pukhovski (4), Minotskyi (1), Turchenko (1), Kravchenko (2), Dontsov (3), Burzak. Score every five minutes: 2-5, 7-8, 12-10, 18-12, 21-16, 23-18; 26-20, 29-23, 31-25, 33-27, 38-32, 42-34. Referees: Nicolau and Cacador (Portugal). They excluded Mem for Barcelona and Babichev, Danysiov, Horiha, Bokhan and Minotskyi for Motor Zaporozhje. Incidents: Match of the fourteenth day of the Champions League in its group B. Palau Blaugrana, around 40 spectators.1 point

2020 has wreaked havoc with most of the good healthy habits. 2020 has been a different year. The situation experienced made for many kneading and making bread stopped being something anecdotal to become a hobby with which to distract themselves. This, added to the then temporary closure of the gyms, caused a change in routines and, with it, the abandonment of some healthy habits. How can you redirect this situation and return to a healthy lifestyle? For Susan Bowerman, director of Global Nutrition Education and Training at Herbalife Nutrition, the key is to make small changes to routines that promote healthy eating now and in the future. Continue cooking at home in a healthy way A positive aspect of spending more time at home is that more and more people are encouraged to cook. Even with restaurants open, cooking at home allows you to include more nutritious foods in your day to day, such as a greater variety of fruits and vegetables, foods that contain healthy fats such as olive oil, avocado and fish, whole grains rich in fiber or lean protein sources, including plant-based protein. Experimenting in the kitchen with fresh ingredients and new recipes can make healthy eating delicious as well as fun. Food as a source of energy Eating healthy helps you maintain a healthy weight. But what are the benefits of a balanced diet? A diet that provides good nutrition means getting the necessary nutrients, vitamins and minerals, along with macronutrients, to help the body work at its best. From improving emotional well-being to maintaining the body, going through the reduction of bad cholesterol, which is a threat to the heart, the benefits of eating healthy are multiple. Enjoy healthy take away food Home delivery is on the rise, not only because it allows you to enjoy food from your favorite restaurant at home, but also because in this way you support local businesses. But this option, which is often related to fast food, can also be adjusted to healthy diets. It is important to take the time to review the entire menu offer, so that you can choose those dishes that include a lot of vegetables and lean proteins. Some restaurants also have nutritional information, which can help you make better choices. Preparation is the key Working from home, snacking or unhealthy meals are more accessible and therefore one can easily be tempted. However, preparing and having a healthy snack takes the same time if you have all the necessary products. Storing chopped carrots and celery in the fridge and dipping them in hummus can be a healthy solution for snacking between meals. Other quick and healthy snacks include a bowl of fresh fruit or a protein shake with banana. Meal planning can be time consuming, but make sure you stick to a healthy eating plan throughout the week. Having a well-stocked refrigerator, freezer, and pantry can help. Also, you can make healthy cereals in advance, such as brown rice or quinoa, and have several vegetables ready to eat. As for protein, you can use quick-cooking chicken and fish breasts, such as tuna or salmon, veggie burgers, or canned beans. With all these options, eating a healthy diet throughout the week is much easier. Focus on general wellness Eating healthy is essential, but so is having a balanced lifestyle. To keep stress at bay, it is important to look at all aspects that improve well-being. If you do not have a diet rich in nutrients, it must be supplemented; and hydration is important to maintain balanced nutrition. Exercise also improves health and quality of sleep. Mental health also plays a critical role in well-being. Stress is a factor that contributes to the development of heart disease or obesity, among others. Establishing a daily routine in which attention is paid to nutrition, exercise, adequate sleep and mental rest, will promote general well-being. Connect with people who follow a healthy lifestyle When it comes to making diet changes and weight loss, a supportive community can make a difference. Finding and connecting with people who share a desire to adopt a healthier lifestyle or lose weight can help you make those lifestyle changes. Try sharing favorite healthy recipes, talking about challenges, holding each other accountable, and cooking together - even remotely. In addition, this social connection can reduce anxiety and depression levels, regulate emotions, increase self-esteem and empathy, and improve the immune system, especially after a year in which circumstances have led to a higher level of depression. Reinvest time in the things you enjoy or find new hobbies Participating in activities that we enjoy and learning new things impacts and stimulates brain health, so although it is difficult to find time to carry them out, these actions should be prioritized. Experiences such as volunteering, taking dance classes or learning a new language to travel to your dream destination are a source of motivation that keeps your mind busy and protects you from the dreaded anxiety. The last year has been challenging on many levels. Having gained weight, having exercised less than it should or having neglected the healthy eating plan are not a reason for punishment, there is always time to get back on track. Eating the right nutrients and getting regular physical activity are healthy habits to maintain, as they are one of the best things you can do for yourself to stay strong and healthy.1 point

The strain would explain the strength and expansion of the second wave of infections in the country, according to researchers. Brazil is one of the countries with the most cases in the world due to the pandemic: it accumulates 10'587,001 infections since the first case of the virus was registered on February 26 of last year, which have caused 255,720 deaths since the first victim, the March 12, 2020. Preliminary studies by Brazilian and English researchers have found a Brazilian variant of COVID-19 baptized as P1, this could have a viral load up to ten times higher and is capable of evading the immune system of those people who had antibodies against the coronavirus. Research published last Friday indicates that the new variant originating in the state of Amazonas is between 1.4 and 2.2 times more transmissible than those that precede it and is soon one of the factors behind the second wave of coronavirus in Brazil . "It probably does all three things at the same time: it is more transmissible, it invades the immune system more and probably must be more pathogenic," Ester Sabino, professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Sao Paulo (USP), tells EFE. and coordinator of the USP group that participated in the research carried out by the Brazil-United Kingdom Center for the Discovery and Diagnosis of Abrovirus (CADDE). They also concluded that the new strain is capable not only of bypassing the immune system, but also of causing a new infection in part of the individuals already infected by SARS-CoV-2, specifically between 25% and 61%. . "You cannot explain so many cases except for the loss of immunity," specified Sabino, who also coordinated the study together with researcher Nuno Faria, from the University of Oxford. The capital of the state of Amazonas has been the epicenter of the pandemic in Brazil. The same story is told in both the first and second waves of the coronavirus, which have caused a health collapse since the end of last year due to the explosion of cases and admissions to the country's hospitals and clinics. The research was supported by the São Paulo State Research Amparo Foundation (FAESP), and although it has not yet been reviewed by other scientists or published in journals of its kind, it is already available online.1 point

It was to be expected that after the launches of their brothers Peugeot and Opel, in the mark of the two chevrons they would not take too long to present the Citroën ë-Berlingo. It is the fully electric version of the ever-successful Citroën Berlingo, sharing technique and technology with the e-Partner (and e-Rifter) and Opel Combo-e. We recall that this entire MVP range of the PSA branch of the new Stellantis group is produced in Spain, specifically in the Vigo factory. They are cars that can be used both for work and for family use given their great interior space, good behavior and correct technological offer. What does the new Citroën ë-Berlingo offer us? Citroën ë-Berlingo, without losing interior capabilities The first thing to note, beyond the design, is that the ë-Berlingo is available with two bodies of different lengths. The short M version is 4.4 meters long, while the long XL extends this height to 4.75 meters. The total height of the body does not exceed 1.90 meters, so there should be no problems in parking lots. A very positive point is that all the load capacity and habitability of the thermal versions are maintained. And is that the batteries do not steal interior space since they are located in the bottom, which also contributes to reducing the center of gravity. The M body has 775 liters of luggage space, while the XL size amounts to 1,050 in a 5-seater configuration. To this must be added 167 liters in other compartments. Three driving modes with different power deliveries Focusing already on the propulsion part, the Citroën ë-Berlingo has an electric motor of 100 kW (136 HP) and 260 Nm in the front end. It allows you to reach a maximum speed of 135 km / h (limited) in any of the driving modes, which are as follows: Normal: 109 hp and 210 Nm of torque, offering a good compromise between autonomy and performance. Eco: 82 CV and 180 Nm, optimizing consumption and reducing the performance of air conditioning and heating (without actually deactivating them) to increase the range. Power: 136 hp and 260 Nm, for a more dynamic driving and greater performance in case of being heavily loaded. And three charging options The battery is lithium-ion with a capacity of 50 kWh, allowing it to run according to the data of about 280 kilometers on a single charge. By the way, there are three recharging possibilities: Home charging requires a mode 2 cable for use at home, at work or in a parking lot. This charging mode is compatible with a standard 8A socket or with a reinforced 16A socket (box + Green'Up socket), which allows the recharge time to be cut in half to obtain a 100% charged battery in less than 15 hours. Private or public fast charging that requires the installation of a fast charging system at a wall charging point from 3.7 to 22 kW, and a mode 3 cable (optional). The charging time from 0 to 100% is, in this case, 7.5 hours (7.4 kW single-phase charge point) or 5h (11 kW three-phase charge point). Super fast charging in public up to 100 kW with a mode 4 cable integrated into the charger. It allows to charge 80% of the 50 kWh battery in 30 minutes. The ë-Berlingo is at the best level in its segment in super fast charge time. Fame and guarantee Following its arrival on the market in 1996, the Citroën Berlingo has built up a good customer base. Now, it is possible that with the new Citroën ë-Berlingo they will be able to catch more citizens and / or, that some of the traditional customers will switch to this new electric van. The final prices with which it will arrive in Spain are still unknown. The French brand has confirmed that the battery is guaranteed for 8 years or 160,000 km (for 70% of its capacity at the end of the period). After the first check, after the first year or after 20,000 km, a battery capacity certificate is issued and then another after each maintenance, every 2 years or 40,000 km.1 point

Levante-Athletic closed in a draw, with the same result that occurred in the Cup. "The result is fair, another thing is the merits. I think they barely threw us between the three suits and they did us few times. The few times that come to us we have errors of bulk and above the plays do not enter by little. After the 1-1 perhaps we sinned a bit of conformists. I would have liked to see the more incisive team because we could have generated something more ". The expulsion of Iñigo Martínez at the end of the game: "He has been expelled, but I did not see or know why, but he has been expelled." Levante's plan: "I am not the one to rate how the rival plays. For that they have a coach who is doing phenomenally. They made a variation with respect to what we played in the Cup. They played as they believed they should play, which was similar to the Wanda. We did what we thought was best to win because we wanted to win as it meant moving forward some place in the table. " The price of mistakes in final matches: "To be winners, competitive and winners we cannot do them. I think that in final matches they do not occur because they have not happened to us so far. We must avoid this type of situation. We have to give a lot More importance to each action. We cannot concede so little in so many games and the effectiveness of the opponent is almost 100% in each game. In these last games we have left six points that look where they would put us in the table. win these games. " The favorite of the Cup: "They are different games. The 1-1 in the first leg gives Levante an advantage, which plays in their own field. Both teams have had casualties today and I don't know how many Levante will be able to recover. Thursday is a context very different. Today there were three very important points and we missed two in a way that they should not have. Now we will play a game to go to a final. " Yuri's substitution: "I had some discomfort and this demanding month was taking its toll on many footballers. We have not thought about Thursday alone, but about everything that comes after." What makes it clear from the game: "I'm sick of the draws to one, that's the first thing. Regarding the game I think everything will be different, in the pre-game and in the game. We respect Levante a lot. We are two teams that we lose very little, but it is also true that we draw a lot ".1 point

Optimal levels of vitamin C and vitamin D are related to a better prognosis against Covid-19, according to a prestigious endocrinologist Leading a healthy lifestyle could be essential to overcome Covid-19. Food rich in vitamin C and vitamin D or physical activity are key elements to reduce the risk in case of infection by SARS-Cov-2, according to the prestigious endocrinologist Carlos Rodríguez. Carlos Rodríguez is one of the leading experts in endocrinology in Spain and at 83 he can boast of having overcome Covid-19 after spending 25 days in the Hospital. His experience with the disease and his more than reputable knowledge lead him to affirm that one of the key factors to overcome Covid-19 is to develop a healthy lifestyle. Carlos Rodríguez himself assures that he has been able to defeat Covid-19 thanks to the healthy lifestyle that he has carried out for many years throughout his life. Thus, he explains that "we are like a ball, everything in our body is interrelated." The importance of feeding the microbiata In this sense, this expert in endocrinology points out that nutrition is a factor with great importance in the prognosis of patients hospitalized with Covid-19. "The intestinal microbiota is responsible for 85% of our entire immune system, and it is nutrition, after all, that is going to feed the microbiota so that it prepares the metabolites that are going to create the immune network." Thus, in some way, Carlos Rodríguez agrees with the request made by many experts to increase the consumption of foods rich in vitamin C and vitamin D to deal with Covid-19 and as a protection measure against the virus. "Knowing that the immune system is modulated by 85% in the intestine, it is obvious that nutrition and food have a huge implication in our entire defensive process, against viruses, bacteria and, in this specific case, against the Coronavirus", adds Carlos Rodríguez. As the doctor explains, all human beings are born with an innate immunity for the mere fact of being living beings. Although, as we grow, each person has developed a certain acquired immunity, which can vary depending on the lifestyle and the diet we carry out. Adequate hydration and vitamin C In this sense, Carlos Rodríguez, from his perspective as an expert in endocrinology, describes a series of guidelines to carry out a healthy diet that helps our immune system. Thus, he recommends that our nutrition be based on 40% carbohydrates, 30% fat and 30% protein. In addition, he adds that nutrition should not lack different vitamins such as vitamin C and D; and adequate hydration of one and a half liters of water daily. For this doctor, water is our best medicine. «The water serves as a diluent, improves the concentration of the elements in the intestine to be absorbed. In addition, it has a "radiating effect" that balances the temperature in the blood. We, for the mere fact of living, spend 1 liter and a half of water a day for perspiration. It is something that we must bear in mind ». In this way, he warns of the health dangers of leading a life based on poor nutrition. «A poorly managed nutrition, together with a sedentary lifestyle, is the beginning of chronic diseases such as diabetes, and of a large number of cardiovascular, autoimmune, metabolic or neurological diseases. Hence the importance of taking maximum care of our lifestyle. In favor of vitamin C supplements Finally, Carlos Rodríguez is in favor of the use of vitamin supplements, such as Omega 3, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin D, selenium or zinc. "All of them provide certain minerals and vitamins that serve as coferments and can benefit us, regardless of what a good diet can contribute," he concludes. However, he makes it clear that any nutritional supplement must be carried out under the supervision of a specialist in the field. In short, Carlos Rodríguez, as an expert in endocrinology, guarantees that a healthy lifestyle and a correct diet are two transcendental factors when it comes to overcoming Covid-19. In addition, he tells it from the experience of a person who has struggled to defeat the virus.1 point

Colombia will receive two million vaccines from the Chinese Sinovac that should arrive on March 7. A Chinese agency indicated that the president of that country, Xi Jinping, assured that his country "will continue to provide all possible support" to Colombia's fight against the coronavirus. According to the official Xinhua news agency today, Xi conveyed to his Colombian counterpart, Iván Duque, China's intention to carry out "vaccine cooperation" with Colombia. In a telephone conversation held on Thursday, the Chinese leader spoke of "solidarity" and "deep friendship" between the two countries in the context of the pandemic. For his part, according to the Xinhua transcript, Duque thanked China's support since the beginning of the global expansion of the coronavirus, especially in relation to the supply of vaccines. On Thursday, after talking with Xi, Duque announced that Colombia will receive two million vaccines from China Sinovac that should arrive on March 7, which will join the already arrived shipments of doses from that same firm (192,000 on a flight last Saturday) and other international companies such as Pfizer / BioNTech. Beyond the issues related to the pandemic, Xinhua indicates that both leaders spoke of the positive development of bilateral ties, especially in trade and economic matters. Among the areas in which ties can be developed in the near future, Xi highlighted energy, infrastructure or telecommunications while Duque focused on trade, economy, science or technology.1 point

Nissan has taken 2021 as a key year for its future. 2020 brought out a serious crisis that almost ruined the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. Therefore, after presenting its new strategic plan and announcing a change in its business management, it is the turn of the news. One of the key models for this recovery is the fireproof Qashqai. The king of compact SUVs returns with a revolutionary new installment. During the last months we have seen several teasers of the new Nissan Qashqai. The first showed a view of his profile. Along with him, in addition, appeared other novelties that will be arriving throughout these days. The others were clearer, revealing part of its interior or its body covered in camouflage. Now they delight us with a teaser video in which we see new details of their physiognomy. Oh, and they announce their debut date. The new Nissan Qashqai will debut on February 18 In addition, next to the new clip of the Nissan Qashqai we also have an image. In it we can see how their new optical groups are. The design is more risky than in the current one, sporting a double composition where the adaptive Full LED technology takes center stage. Nissan's front grille, V-Motion, is not well appreciated, but it will be more dynamic than the current one. In the lower area the bumper has a generous vertical air intake. Regarding the teaser video, we can also extract interesting information. Among the different plans we can see its new configurable digital instrument panel or the central touch screen. The view they show corresponds to the functions of the electrically adjustable, heated and cooled seats. These also appear, showing a diamond perforated leather upholstery or a trim that looks like brushed aluminum. All in all, the most important thing is that in the teaser video they announce the date on which the new Nissan Qashqai will debut. If all goes according to plan, the event will take place on February 18. According to its creators, it will set a new standard for the C-SUV segment with an attractive design, advanced technology and dynamic driving. To this must be added that, for the first time in its history, it will leave diesel mechanics behind forever. In its place, will come the hybrid e-POWER technology that we have already known in other models of the brand. We will be very attentive to the possible leaks that may occur, but everything indicates that the new generation Qashqai will be a turning point in the C-SUV segment. Ah, this is not all, the new Pathfinder and Frontier (our Navara) are on the exit ramp. Attentive ...1 point

Athletic will face the cross against Valencia with a call-up of 20 players, two less than those allowed by the regulations. Marcelino and his collaborators had considered the option of recruiting a Bilbao Athletic footballer - Nico Williams was included in the first list that was made public - but it was finally rejected. "We have summoned those who we consider suitable to win the match. We are considering the option of Some footballers come up, but Bilbao Athletic had an important game this Saturday afternoon and those who played 90 minutes today on a very demanding field and without any training with us, we prefer not to include anyone on this list ", explained the coach. The coach has the casualties of Muniain, injured in a training session in the middle of the week; Villalibre, who fell at the crossroads against Betis; Iñigo Vicente, affected by COVID-19; Peru, long-term injured, and Raúl García, who will serve a penalty game. In addition, he will have to manage the muscular fatigue of the players who played the game and overtime on Thursday with Betis. "The more games you play, the more injury options there are, but we cannot play with fear. We analyze what we have and what we do not do is run Risks. Iker's injury was bad luck because it was a high heel in training and we believe that it will not be a very important injury. The rest of the teams also have injuries when you accumulate three games a week and played on different surfaces, "he stressed. The Asturian has summoned Unai Simón, Ezkieta, Morcillo, Nuñez, Iñigo Martínez, Yeray, Vesga, Ibai, Unai López, Williams, Berenguer, Dani García, Lekue, Sancet, Yuri, De Marcos, Zarraga, Capa, Balenziaga and Vencedor. The team will have changes compared to the one that played on Thursday in the Cup against Betis. "It is not the same to play every three days than every four. That game may have more difficulty than when we play every four days. 52 hours between one and the other is a very short time. We will take the appropriate measures to be in good physical tone and avoid injuries. Do we prefer to play three games a week in January or not? I think this is the best possible situation and we are excited about the Cup semifinal, but we must face both competitions with a spirit of success, "said Marcelino.1 point

If one of your goals this year is to have a plant-based diet, here's how to get started. Let's do it! New trends in balanced nutrition and having an active life are being added to the main purposes and goals that are planned at the end or beginning of a year, such as changing eating habits or adopting healthier practices. Caring for the environment, body health and animal welfare are some of the reasons that those who seek to have a diet based on vegetables, fruits and vegetables take into consideration. The sustained growth of people who are acquiring more conscious ways when it comes to eating, on the one hand, projects positive changes for the planet and on the other, represents health benefits. According to a study by the National Academy of Sciences, it is estimated that by 2050 greenhouse gas emissions would be reduced between 29% and 70% if more citizens join the plant-based eating trends. And, according to Carolina Pimentel, a member of the Herbalife Nutrition Brazil Advisory Council of Dietitians, people who acquire these habits could help: lower cholesterol levels, better control hypertension, have a lower risk of developing type II diabetes and have a better nutritional status. Some of the food plans that consider plants as protagonists are, for example, flexitarianism, which consists of combining the intake of plants with a percentage of animal protein; vegetarianism, where the consumption of meat is not present, but there is consumption of products derived from animals, and veganism, a trend based strictly on foods of plant origin. Before adopting any of these lifestyles, it is recommended to have a previous medical evaluation and the advice of health professionals during the process. “Fruits, vegetables and whole grains are an important source of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients, as well as being cholesterol free. Most also provide plenty of fiber, which helps satiate your appetite and maintain normal digestive system function. When adequate portions of these foods are included to satisfy the appetite, there will be less room in the stomach to consume foods that are not very nutritious, "adds Pimentel. A diet with a high percentage of plants does not only mean fruits and vegetables, beans, peas, lentils, oats, quinoa, brown or wild rice, among others, also count. Other sources of plant protein are milk, cheese and soy yogurt and tofu.1 point

AstraZeneca's covid-19 vaccine was tested by experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) because its efficacy in older people and against the South African variant of the virus is questioned. Even the immunization campaign in South Africa was temporarily suspended. The UK was the first country to administer the AstraZeneca / Oxford vaccine en masse in December, but it has already been approved by other nations and by the European Union (EU). However, due to the lack of data on its efficacy in the older po[CENSORED]tion, some governments decided to recommend its use for people under 65 years of age, or even 55, as in the case of Spain. This past Sunday, South Africa suspended the start of its vaccination program, which was to start with one million doses of AstraZeneca / Oxford. All due to a study that questions the effectiveness of the vaccine. According to the first results of the study, this vaccine is only 22% effective against mild forms of the disease caused by the South African variant. "It is too early to reject this vaccine" which is "an important part of the global response to the current pandemic," said Richard Hatchett, one of those responsible for the Covax mechanism to ensure a fair distribution of the means to combat it. covid-19. "We believe that our vaccine will nevertheless protect against the serious forms of the disease," said an AstraZeneca spokesman on his side. In addition, this vaccine is cheaper and easier to store, because it does not require a very low temperature. That makes it more suitable for mass vaccination campaigns.1 point

Defense and Justice made history at the hands of Hernán Crespo, consecrating himself for the first time internationally. The Copa Sudamericana is the result of an institution that year after year keeps in constant growth to the top. And this Saturday it happened. Undoubtedly, one of the pillars of this title is forward Braian Romero, an absolute scorer of the competition with 10 goals, who owns a history of constant improvement in his life. "You will not be able to play football anymore" He was running in November 2012 and the illusion of his career as a soccer player received a deep blow. He was a member of Acassuso, a team of the third division of Argentine soccer, when after not being able to train for a few days he was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. This disease the joints and surrounding tissues, which made it difficult not only to play ball, but also to walk. " He took three pills a day and a corticosteroid a week. But nothing worked and the rheumatologist recommended that I stop playing football, which he already was. They told me that he could even have problems walking in the future. It was a very hard blow. I was playing well in Acassuso and had entered a list of footballers of the Metropolitan B, "he said in dialogue with La Nación. He fought her for a year and two months to return to a playing field and since the leadership of Acassuso they were already thinking of giving him a job in another sector of the club. However, at that difficult time, his grandmother insisted that he go to church. "I believed in God, but up to that point. Always with respect, but I didn't give it too much importance. Then one day I went and met a pastor. He helped me a lot, he talked to me about healing. I asked him things, he read, I started to get interested. One day I heard something very nice: he was talking about faith. Then I started to get closer and closer. And without any suggestion, neither from the pastor, nor from my grandmother, nor from anyone, I stopped taking the pills. It was a absolutely my decision. At the time my studies and my body began to improve, "he said in the same interview. At the same time, Romero began to walk, jog and run in the best way. When he intensified, he realized that the pain was gone." The doctor that he told me that he would not be able to play anymore, he could not believe it when he saw that he was recovered. He did everything in his power. And I think thanks to God I got well. It was a miracle ", he does not doubt it. From illusion to discarding in Independiente Braian Romero continued his career in Acassuso and in 2015 his goals led him to Colón de Santa Fe in the First Division. Later, he stood out in Argentinos Juniors where he became a figure and a very important piece of Gabriel Heinze's team that was promoted in the 2016/17 season. Again, his good performances led him to be in the crosshairs of Independiente. Ariel Holan did everything to sign him and the transfer of him arrived with great enthusiasm. However, in 'Red' he never found his place. The trust placed in the transfer was not the same when it came to betting on him on the court and he ended up going on loan. First to Athletico Paranaense and then, when in the middle of the pandemic they told him that they were not going to take it into account, to Defense and Justice. Crespo's confidence and glory Destroyed by Independiente's decision not to take him into account in the midst of a difficult situation such as the pandemic, Hernán Crespo did not hesitate to take him with him to Defense and Justice. He gave him a leading role in the team and positioned him in the center of the attack, when he usually played on the flanks. What did Romero do? He more than complied. He scored 10 goals in 9 Copa Sudamericana games, was the top scorer of the competition and a fundamental piece for the coronation at the Mario Alberto Kempes stadium. One more sample that football always gives revenge.1 point

The Covid-19 pandemic, little by little and with some setbacks and many tragedies, will be remembered. This coronavirus can disappear and then reappear, continue endemically under the control of the vaccine, or simply fade and disappear. The economy and healthcare systems will return to a new normal, some parts faster than others. Like the multiple plagues that humanity has endured since our ancestors met in cities - warns an investigation published by the National Center for Biotechnology Information of the United States (NCBI for its acronym in English) - this pandemic will generate recriminations for slow and wrong responses, speculations and exaggerated or insufficient reactions to economic, social and health events that, in retrospect, will be obvious. The individuals and organizations most guilty of exacerbating the disaster will escape responsibility as they scapegoat others and try to rewrite history. Heroes, whether they are people who helped provide clear risk communication and leadership or groups who persevered in the face of life-threatening fear and danger, are going to excel. Without fanfare, most will return to their normal jobs, scarred but proud of their efforts. As they have done before, experts and scholars will write endlessly about the cause, effects, and ways to ameliorate the brutal destruction of lives and ways of life of the next pandemic. "The problem is, we've done all of this before and we don't seem to have learned the lessons our predecessors taught," warns Dr. Kenneth V. Iserson, professor of Emergency Medicine, director of the Arizona Bioethics Program at the College of Medicine. from the University of Arizona and lead author of the research. Approximately one new disease emerges each year (AFP) For most people, the new coronavirus appears to be an anomaly; it is not. The 20th century began with devastating waves of the Spanish flu that killed 50 million to 100 million people worldwide. About one new disease emerges each year. Not all have human-to-human transmission, but they do have it to scare those tasked with monitoring global health. To highlight the danger and prioritize research, each year the World Health Organization (WHO) instructs a committee of experts to update its list of the most threatening infectious diseases that lack effective treatments or vaccines. The current list includes COVID-19, since the entire world is now focused on that pathogen. "What should act as a wake-up call to seriously fund surveillance, research and treatment of the wide variety of possible pandemic agents is the entity at the bottom of the short list: 'disease X'," says Iserson. Since 2015, the WHO has used this designation for a disease that could cause a pandemic due to a currently unknown pathogen to cause human disease. Last year's disease X now has a name: COVID-19. However, the next unknown and nameless entity may already be lurking. One might wonder: why don't we come up with a plan to identify these pathogens early and mobilize scientists, the health community, politicians, and the public to combat these scourges? The answer is that we already have. We know what steps to take to limit a pandemic. Detailed plans have been developed and disseminated by WHO, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Departments of Homeland Security and Health and Human Services. "It is clear that there are multiple X diseases in our future; we have to be prepared" (AFP) “After the SARS pandemic, for example, the WHO detailed the steps necessary to control a pandemic. These vital steps were ignored during the initial period of the COVID-19 pandemic. WHO is chronically underfunded, has to endure a bloated, slow and uncoordinated bureaucracy that has to answer to 194 countries. He has been convicted of both overreacting (2009 H1N1 pandemic) and overreacting (2014 Ebola epidemic and COVID-19 pandemic) and failing to act. The CDC is chronically underfunded and lacks political power. Academics are voices in the desert whose advice is generally sought too late in the process to have much effect, ”says the specialist. And he concludes: “As the threat of COVID-19 diminishes, politicians will make big promises to implement plans to stop, or at least prepare for, the next pandemic. The recovering economy will be too weak at first to support the effort, although more funds will be promised in the future. Ultimately, they will make changes that are politically expedient and will not authorize the changes necessary to produce faster and more flexible responses. Memories of heartbreak and social disruption during COVID-19 will fade. Our strongholds against pandemic diseases will continue to be underfunded and inadequate for the job. Even so, it is clear that there are multiple X diseases in our future; We need to be prepared".1 point

what features and benefits it would bring to modern gaming. Much has happened since. Windows 10‘s launch and the debut of Ashes of the Singularity brought the first hints of DirectX 12 gaming performance, as did Fable Legends, which debuted some weeks later. We’ve also covered the work being done on Vulkan, the open-source, Linux-friendly DX12 competitor (now not expected to debut until 2016), how that software might impact the future of Valve and the company’s push for its own SteamOS, and the debut of DirectX 12 on the Xbox One as well. From debates over the importance of asynchronous computing to confusion over exactly which feature sets are and aren’t supporting on current hardware, DirectX 12 was one of the most important stories we covered in 2015. This story will start you off on a discussion of its capabilities and advantages compared with DirectX 11, and if you want more nuance, feel free to consult the links above. Enter DX12 Microsoft and Nvidia first took the lid of DirectX 12 at GDC 2014. The new API promised to deliver the same low-overhead benefits of AMD’s custom Mantle UI, along with vastly improved performance and superior hardware utilization compared with DirectX 11. Even better, DirectX 12 (and D3D 12) are backwards compatible with virtually every single GPU from the GTX 400 to the present day. At present, only Nvidia’s Kepler and Maxwell cards are DX12 compatible, but the company has promised that Fermi compatibility is coming in a future update. Microsoft has published a blog post and accompanying API samples that illustrate how much more powerful the software is, while acknowledging some of the flaws in the DirectX 11 API. One of the central problems with DX11 is that it’s virtually impossible to multi-thread the 3D rendering path. Game rendering ends up running almost entirely on a single CPU thread, bogging down the rest of the system. DirectX 11 also makes certain assumptions about the underlying hardware that have proven to map poorly to GPUs from both AMD and Nvidia. Here’s a threading comparison between DX11 (top) and DX12 (bottom): See how, in DX11, the entire workload is hanging on a single thread with extremely low utilization on the other threads? That’s a problem — with the kernel-mode driver running on the same thread as the game and the D3D layer, there’s just not much for the other threads to do. The second graph shows how, by splitting the workload more evenly, the game can hit much lower latencies. Better latencies translates directly into higher frame rates. This pair of screenshots from 3DMark 2012 further illustrate the difference. Total CPU time is dramatically reduced in DX12 by efficiently reallocating data across all cores. OS and GPU support DirectX 12 is currently supported on all Nvidia GPUs based on Kepler and Maxwell. That’s the vast majority of the 6xx series and all of the 7xx and 8xx graphics cards. Fermi support is coming soon, which will extend support all the way back to the 400 and 500-series as well. AMD supports DirectX 12 on all GCN-class hardware dating back to the launch of that family in 2012. All AMD GPUs from the HD 77xx family (or above), the HD 85xx family (or above), and the Radeon R5 family (or above) all support DirectX 12. This includes the various iterations of GCN, from 1.0 – 1.2. One thing to understand is that while DirectX 12 is a common API, that API has different optional features, defined as feature levels. AMD’s first-generation GCN products support DirectX 12 at the 11_1 feature level , as do Nvidia’s Fermi and Kepler cards. Cards based on Hawaii, Tonga, and Fiji support the 12_0 feature level. More information on this, and a comprehensive comparison between AMD, Nvidia, and Intel, can be found here. Windows 10 is the only operating system that supports DirectX 12, which means if you want in on these features you’ll need to take advantage of Microsoft’s free upgrade (or buy a new PC with W10 preloaded). How’s performance? There are several facets to DirectX 12 performance, and the benchmarks themselves are very early. As our Ashes and Fable Legends previews demonstrated, AMD gains some ground on its rival in DirectX 12. The gap isn’t enormous, and it varies depending on which cards you compare. The GTX 980 Ti still wins Fable Legends overall, though the Fury X closes that gap in Ashes of the Singularity. Overall, it’s too early to draw conclusions. If you’re trying to suss out what GPU to buy, my answer is this: With both AMD and Nvidia set to introduce cards based on 14/16nm technology within the next 6-9 months, it’s probably best to wait and see what each company brings to the table. If you have to buy a GPU today, you can expect good DX12 performance from either vendor. The relative difference between the two hasn’t yet been shown to be large enough to justify fans of one company or the other jumping ship. If the early trends hold, DX12 is a bit better for current AMD cards than it is for Nvidia, but I’m not ready to commit to that as fact. Based on what we’ve seen so far, DirectX 12 won’t automatically deliver higher frame rates as if by magic. Its value is in the way it loosens the stranglehold on multi-threaded CPUs, giving developers the option to use rendering techniques that take advantage of this new ability. We’ve also seen the option to run GPUs from two different vendors in the same PC, and there’s reason to think DX12 could indirectly improve AI calculations as well.1 point

What is Direct X 12 and Why is it Important? When Microsoft began detailing new features of its upcoming Windows 10 operating system, one of those features it talked about is DirectX 12. Gamers will immediately know what this is but they may not perhaps realize just how important an update it will be. DirectX is the name Microsoft uses to describe a whole slew of application programming interfaces (API) it uses for multimedia and video applications. Chief among these are games for which without DirectX, the Windows platform simply would not dominate in gaming as it does. For a great while, at least in the years prior to Windows 95 Service Release 2, gaming on a PC was often a torturous ordeal involving DOS and boot disks. In order to give games direct access to system hardware, you first had to boot into DOS and use special arguments in the config.sys and autoexec.bat files. This then allowed you to give games access to larger amounts memory, the sound card, the mouse, etc. It was easy for new PC owners to quickly become frustrated trying to get games to run because of all the hurdles they had to jump through. Enter DirectX Microsoft quickly realized that in order for the Windows operating system to become po[CENSORED]r with gamers, it had to give game developers a way for their products to access the same hardware resources in Windows, as in DOS. The first version of DirectX released for Windows 95 and NT 4.0 was version 2.0a, in June 1996. At first adoption was slow, but it is fair to say, DirectX changed PC gaming forever, and you’re unlikely to find a game worth playing on Windows that doesn’t use it. As time has gone by, DirectX has simply gotten better and better, but whether you can take advantage of each new version depends almost entirely on whether your system components, especially the graphic card, supports it. So, while DirectX is a boon for gamers, if your hardware is more than a couple generations old, there’s a good chance your PC may not be able to take advantage of any new bells and whistles the latest version includes. Why is Direct X 12 Such a Big Deal Then? It’s pretty clear that DirectX 12 is the big deal Microsoft is making it out to be marking a huge improvement over the previous version. For the Xbox One, it opens the possibility of more rendering options, paving the way for prettier games with enhanced visual effects. There is also hope that DX12 will unleash faster PS4-like frame rates since it will allow developers easier access to Xbox One’s superfast ESRAM. Finally, DX12 will give the Xbox One a faster dashboard and pave the way for 4K video. On the PC end of things, the advantages of DX12 are far more apparent. Backward Compatibility The one feature that pricked the ears of most gamers was the announcement that DX12 will be backward compatible with older DX11 hardware. This basically means that if your graphics card is less than two years old, you probably won’t need to upgrade. Of course, there are parts of the DX12 APIs that will likely not be available to older hardware that isn’t specifically “DirectX 12 Compatible” but in the end, if you graphics card supports DX11, then it will enjoy the significant bulk of the features DX12 brings to the table. Laptop Users Rejoice Microsoft promises that DX12 will run well on lower-end systems, which means laptops and tablets. Both of these computing form factors are known for having less gaming power. Gamers usually aren’t likely to buy a laptop to play games, and more likely to build or buy a larger desktop PC that can support and house the components needed to run games at higher details and frame rates. DX12 will at least make gaming on lower-end systems more tolerable. It’s still not likely to sell laptops and tablets as primary gaming devices, but at least you can go on vacation or business trips and still enjoy more gaming titles on your laptop. New Multi-adapter Capabilities DX12 works on a low level, which means it has access to far more hardware options than its predecessors. Of these, the multi-adapter is perhaps the coolest. Simply, the multi-adapter strategy allows developers to split processing duties between your main GPU and your CPU’s integrated graphics. This means that when implemented skillfully, your big beefy video card that you paid hundreds of dollars for will only have bear the brunt of the heavy lifting leaving the CPU graphics to do lighter, busy work like post-processing. Microsoft claims this could result in a performance boost around 10 percent. 4K It’s abundantly clear that 4K video and gaming is the future, for now (and, 6K, and 8K, and so on). Content producers and game makers are clearly moving gradually in that direction. While 4K gaming isn’t going to suddenly burst wide open, we should see more mainstream adoption in another year or so. DirectX 12 will definitely accelerate that adoption, however, due to the way that it significantly reduces GPU overhead. Closing Thoughts To be clear, DirectX 12 is going to benefit Windows 10 gamers the most. Of course there will be other benefits with regard to better video performance, particularly as users scale up to 4K. In the meantime, however, DX12 will be a huge performance gain for PC gamers. For Xbox One, the jury is out, but like we said, there will definitely be improvements to the dashboard, rendering quality, and frame rates (once developers can bring new titles to the market that take advantage of its ESRAM). When all is said and done, however, DirectX 12 is clearly the best thing to happen to Windows gaming in a long while and should go a long way toward selling Windows 10 as a must-have upgrade for serious gamers. Windows 10 and the DirectX 12 API are launching July 29.1 point

CPU-Z Get detailed info about your PC's performance and identify ways to boost it Much like MSI Afterburner and f.lux, CPU–Z is all about fine–tuning your beloved PC gaming machine into a well–oiled, well, machine. Advertisement It’s certainly not an attractive program, but it’s the kind of back end kit you should really try if you want to get your PC in the best possible condition (especially if you’re trying to break into the eSports scene or you’re building a career in streaming). CPU–Z enables you to review all kinds of detailed information about various areas of your PC in a fairly straightforward format. It’s certainly not for the faint hearted, but it’s definitely worth spending some time with if maximizing PC performance is your bag. You can see what's going on in real time, and save reports at any time in TXT or HTML format. 9. Piriform CCleaner Clean out junk files to free up space, and suspend resource-hungry programs Whether you realize it or not, your gaming PC or laptop is full of files and various bits of digital detritus you simply don’t need. All those extra bits and bobs take up valuable space, and that means said PC is going to run slower and slower as time goes by. Not the kind of situation you want with a gaming–dedicated rig. The solution: a proper cleaning utility like Piriform CCleaner. It can delete temporary files and broken Windows registry entries automatically, and identify software your system doesn’t need. There is a caveat, though: CCleaner is very powerful, so make sure you check its settings before turning it loose on your machine to avoid accidentally deleting anything you'd rather hang onto (saved passwords in your web browser, for example). Still, CCleaner is an excellent free app for your new gaming PC. 10. Iolo System Mechanic Analyze and optimize your PC for a noticeable performance boost Another great option for cleaning up and optimizing your Windows PC is Iolo System Mechanic. There isn't much benefit in running both, but this would be our preference if you're not too confident tinkering with software settings yourself and would prefer a wizard-based program to make the decisions for you. Advertisement You'll need to invest in the premium version of System Mechanic if you want extra tools like real-time optimization, but for clearing out the cruft from your system without the worry that you might accidentally delete something important, the free edition is hard to beat.1 point

ne of the least exciting, but most important, PC components is the power supply. PCs run on electricity, of course, and that’s not provided directly from the wall to every component inside a PC’s case. Instead, electricity routes from the alternating current (AC) provided by the power company into the direct current (DC) used by PC components in the required voltage. It’s tempting to buy just any power supply to run your PC, but that’s not a wise choice. A power supply that doesn’t provide reliable or clean power can cause any number of problems, including instability that can be hard to pin down. In fact, a failing power supply can often cause other problems such as random resets and freezes that can otherwise remain mysterious. Therefore, you’ll want to give your power supply choice as much time and attention as your CPU, GPU, RAM, and storage options. Picking the right power supply will give you the best possible performance and help contribute to a lifetime of reliability. Power output: How much do you need? While there are several important factors to consider when choosing a power supply – just like with every PC component – identifying one of the most important factors is refreshingly simple. You don’t need to pour through benchmarks or read reviews to know how much power output you need. Rather, you can use a tool like Newegg’s power supply calculator to determine exactly how much power your new supply needs to output. To use the tool, you need to select your components from the drop-down lists for each category. The tool above is up-to-date with the latest options for central processing unit (CPU), motherboard, graphics processing unit (GPU), random access memory (RAM), and more. While the tool doesn’t drill down into the details of every component, it does so where necessary and takes the guesswork out of deciding how much power you need. For example, if you’re building (or buying) a PC with a Ryzen7 Series CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU, 16 gigabytes (GB) of RAM made up of two 8GB sticks, a 256GB solid-state drive (SSD), and a 1TB 7200RPM hard disk drive (HDD), then 576 watts of power would be recommended. You could choose a 600-watt power supply to be safe – and buying a suitable option is just a click of a button away. Anticipate upgrades when buying a power supply Of course, you might want to run some scenarios to make sure you can handle your long-term needs. For example, upgrading to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 bumps the recommendation to 631 watts, while doubling the RAM only increases the recommendation to 582 watts. If you might do both eventually, then you’ll want at least 637 watts. You get the picture. Don’t just plan to meet your needs today, instead look down the road a bit and think about what changes you might want to make later. And if you’re buying a pre-built PC, then you’ll want to make sure you know what power supply it uses to make sure it can handle whatever you might want to add – or that it’s easy enough to replace at some point. An important note regarding power: continuous power and peak power are different things. Generally, the “Maximum Power” figure of a power supply refers to the continuous (stable) power the PSU will deliver consistently, while the peak power refers to the elevated maximum (surge) power the PSU can deliver, albeit for a very short amount of time (e.g., 15 seconds). When buying a power supply, make sure its continuous wattage meets your needs or you’ll likely run into problems when your PC is running a full load. Finally, don’t be worried that buying a higher-rated power supply means you’ll necessarily be using more power. A power supply will only pull the electricity demanded by your PC’s components – and so while it might be a waste of money up front to purchase a larger power supply than you need, it won’t cost you any more to operate your PC because of it. Protection Some power supply manufacturers will build in protections to help keep your components safe from power-related issues. These protections often add some cost to a power supply, but they can offer some additional peace of mind as well. The first is overvoltage protection, which refers to a circuit or mechanism that shuts down the power supply unit if the output voltage exceeds the specified voltage limit, which is often higher than the rated output voltage. This protection is important since high output voltages may cause damage to computer components that connect to the power supply. The second is overload and overcurrent protection. These are circuits that protect the power supply unit and the computer by shutting down the power supply unit when there is excessive current or power load detected, including short circuit currents. Efficiency matters with a PSU Wattage is just one measure of a power supply’s performance. Another is its efficiency rating, which is a measure of how much DC power it sends to the PC and how much is lost primarily to heat. Efficiency is important because it affects how much you’ll spend on keeping your PC juiced up. As an example, consider a PC that requires 300 watts of power. If you use a power supply with an 85% efficiency rating, your PC will pull about 353 watts of input power from your power company. A power supply that’s only 70% efficient, on the other hand, will pull 428 watts of power from the wall. Choosing the more efficient power supply will save some cash on your monthly power bill. At the same time, a power supply with a higher efficiency rating will allow your PC to run cooler as well. Every PC component generates some heat, and that tends to work against top performance. A more efficient power supply will dissipate less heat, which will mean a quieter system thanks to fans that don’t have to run as fast or as long, better reliability, and a longer lifespan. What is 80 PLUS certification? As you’re searching for power supplies, you’ll see many that carry 80 PLUS certification labels. 80 Plus is a certification program that manufacturers can utilize to provide some assurances that their power supplies will meet certain efficiency requirements. 80 PLUS has various levels ranging from the basic certification to Titanium, and power supplies are rated by independent labs to provide the following efficiency levels for consumer 115-volt power systems: When you’re shopping for a power supply at Newegg, you can choose to filter by 80 PLUS certification level. That makes it easier to dial in exactly the level of efficiency that you want to achieve in your new PC. Wattage isn’t the only measure of a power supply’s ability to support all of your components, however. Power is provided to the components by rails, and while each voltage rail requires attention, the most attention needs to go to the +12V rail(s) that provide power to the most power-hungry components, as the processor and PCIe video cards receive their power from them. A modern power supply must output at least 18A (amps) on the +12V rail(s) for a mainstream up-to-date computer, more than 24A for a system with a single enthusiast-class graphics card, and no less than 34A when it comes to a high-end SLI/CrossFire system. The output amperage figure we’re talking about here is the combined figure for PSUs offering more than one +12V rail. Of course, it is the combined total output number you should look for, and you can’t always add up the+12V rails to calculate the combined output. For instance, a PSU labeled with rails labeled +12V1@18A and +12V2@16A may only have a 30A combined power output instead of 34A. Look for this information in the detailed item specifications or on the PSU information label. If you are going to run an SLI/Crossfire configuration, you should make sure the +12V rail(s) provide no less than 34A combined. Different power supplies are labeled differently – some show the maximum amperage provided by each rail, and some will provide the maximum combined maximum wattage, e.g., 396W, which equals 396W/12V = 33A. Another important consideration is the number of rails a power supply uses to provide power to its components. Simply put, a power supply can provide just one +12 volt rail to provide all of the power to your PC’s components, or it can have multiple rails. Using one rail means that all the power is available to all components connected to it – that makes configuration easy because you don’t need to worry about matching components to rails, but it also means that a power supply failure, such as a surge, will affect all components. Conversely, having multiple rails gives some security against catastrophic failure but requires more care in setting things up. Form factor – Will your power supply fit? The next consideration is a simple one – you’ll need to pick a form factor that you’re sure will physically fit into your case. Fortunately, there are standards in terms of power supplies just as there are in cases and motherboards. This topic can get quite complicated, but the important thing to remember is you’ll want to match your power supply with your case and motherboard. The following is a basic overview of the most important power supply form factors today. ATX Although there are still AT form factor power supplies available for purchase, AT form factor power supplies are undoubtedly legacy products, on the way out. Even the later ATX form factor power supplies (ATX 2.03 and earlier versions) are falling out of favor. The major differences between the ATX and AT power supply form factors are: ATX power supplies provide an extra +3.3V voltage rail. ATX power supplies use a single 20-pin connector as the main power connector. ATX power supplies support the soft-off feature, allowing software to turn off the power supply. ATX12V The ATX12V form factor is the mainstream choice now. There are several different versions of the ATX12V form factor, and they can be very different from one another. The ATX12V v1.0 specification added over the original ATX form factor a 4-pin +12V connector to deliver power exclusively to the processor, and a 6-pin auxiliary power connector providing the +3.3V and +5V voltages. The ensuing ATX12V v1.3 specification added on top the 15-pin SATA power connector on top of all that. A substantial change occurred in the ATX12V v2.0 specification, which changed the main power connector from a 20-pin to a 24-pin format, removing the 6-pin auxiliary power connector. Also, the ATX12V v2.0 specification also isolated the current limit on the 4-pin processor power connector for the 12V2 rail (+12V current is split into the 12V1 and 12V2 rails). Later, the ATX12V v2.1 and v2.2 specifications also increased efficiency requirements and mandated various other improvements. All ATX12V power supplies maintain the same physical shape and size as the ATX form factor. EPS12V, SFX12V, and Others1 point
