  2. Poco announced the appointment of Himanshu Tandon as Poco India Head on Monday, June 6. Tandon was one of the founding team members of Poco in India. He is claimed to hold a Guinness Book of World Record for most simultaneous store launches. Poco India has also revealed that it is expanding its after-sales reach to over 2,000 centres across India. The Xiaomi-owned brand also confirmed that a new Poco F series smartphone will soon launch globally. Last week, on June 3, the company also revealed the global launch date of the Poco C40. Poco India shared a tweet confirming that a new F series smartphone will soon hit the global markets. Unlike the Poco F4 GT, which was recently launched in April as a gaming-oriented handset, this new F series handset would tackle everyday needs. This smartphone has been teased to offer great battery life along with an immersive display and audio setup. Recent reports suggest that this upcoming F series handset could be the Poco F4. A Poco smartphone bearing the model number 22021211RG was spotted on the Geekbench 5 database. It is expected to be the Poco F4, which might feature an octa-core Snapdragon 870 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM. It is said to run on Android 12 with an MIUI 13 skin on top. Furthermore, the Poco 22021211RG has also surfaced on the US FCC certification site where it is said to feature a 4,400mAh battery. However, it is likely to pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. Its Indian variant with the model number 22021211RI has reportedly visited the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification site as well. In related news, the Poco C40 is set to launch globally on June 16. You will be able to stream its online launch event through the company's official Facebook page, YouTube channel, and Twitter handle. The company has not revealed the specifications of this smartphone. A recent report suggests that the Poco C40 might be powered by the entry-level JLQ JR510 SoC. It is expected to run on the rumoured MIUI Go. https://gadgets360.com/mobiles/news/poco-f-series-c40-launch-date-june-16-india-head-himanshu-tendon-3043211
  3. Here we have a supreme saving on a PC building kit from Corsair. It comes in at $1,900, and contains the following—which you have to put together yourself: HX Series HX1200 — 1,200 Watt, 80+ platinum certified, fully modular PSU iCUE H150i Elite — LCD display liquid CPU cooler iCUE ML120 RGB Elite — 3x premium 120mm PWM magnetic levitation fan, with iCUE lighting node core NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti — Founders Edition GPU iCUE 5000T — Black Mid-Tower ATX PC case with RGB & tempered glass Although it's missing a motherboard, storage, RAM, and a CPU, it's still a saving of $405... or thereabouts. Tallying up the components, if you bought them separately they'd usually come to around $2,233, that is, if the RTX 3080 Ti was actually selling at MSRP. Ignoring the fact that GPUs are still pretty sparse and expensive when spotted, that's a saving of around $333(opens in new tab), and it means you don't have to search around or pay over the odds for a GPU in the current market. Honestly, it's worth splashing out on the bundle just to get your hands on the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition(opens in new tab) at this point, but the rest of the components are pretty top notch too. The iCUE 5000T RGB tempered glass mid-tower ATX case(opens in new tab) scored an 85 in our testing thanks to its high quality, multiple cooling options and stylish RGB. Then there's the HX Series HX1200 PSU. It's a fully modular piece of kit, meaning you don't have to leave any unused cables attached, and it delivers up to 1200 Watts of power. Even if you do grab a high powered CPU to go with that RTX 3080 Ti, you're unlikely to hit that bar. It should be plenty enough for the next generation GPUs, too. There's a lot of love out there for the included coolers, which are dead quiet, oh and the CPU cooler even has a little LCD display for you to add custom images and gifs to, which is always good fun. You might want to take a look at our extreme gaming PC build guide(opens in new tab) to figure out what components to pair with it, but generally this is a great base to start you off. Or if you've got the rest of the components ready to install but just need a classy, cool and quiet case to stash them in. https://www.pcgamer.com/holy-rgb-this-rtx-3080-ti-founders-edition-pc-building-kit-is-only-dollar1900/

  5. It looks like the Epic Games Store is getting its first NFT game. Um… yee haw? Grit was announced in 2021 as a cowboy battle royale coming to Steam, but after missing a few early access launch windows it went quiet, then resurfaced earlier this year as a blockchain game. While there's still no launch date, Grit now has a page on the Epic Games Store and is listed as "coming soon." A few of us gave Grit a try during a technical test last year—at that stage it was just another battle royale with no mention of NFTs—and while none of us were blown away it did show a bit of promise. An Old West battle royale with six-shooters, steam engines, horses, and a poker-based loot system had a lot of appeal, even in an alpha state. But it definitely had a long way to go. Since then we haven't heard much about Grit, as it quickly hit some snags. First, a September 2021 early access launch date got shuffled to January 2022, and then a second delay pushed it later into the year. In February the game announced a partnership with Gala Games, a blockchain gaming company. In addition to a battle royale, Grit is now an NFT game. "Play as an entirely unique character and customize their look. Generative Hero NFTs allow you to own your gunslinger and access cosmetic loadout slots, increased earning potential, and more," reads the official site. A link takes you to a Gala Games site where you can purchase a "Gunslinger Box" where you can "receive your 1 of 10,000 Generative Characters," basically, a cowboy avatar you use in-game. This isn't news to anyone paying attention, but NFTs haven't received a warm welcome in gaming. Stalker 2 announced NFT plans and then immediately cancelled them after fan backlash, Team17 did the exact same thing, CCP rejected the idea for Eve Online, and Ubisoft is struggling to sell the idea to its own employees. Even Troy Baker got ratioed. Gamers, largely, don't want NFTs in games, and they also roll their eyes every time yet another battle royale comes along, plus many are still resistant to the Epic Games Store in general. So it's pretty hard to conceive of Grit being much of a success, and easy to understand why people on twitter have already started calling it "Grift." It doesn't help that one of Grit's horse NFTs appears to be just a $30 asset from Unreal Engine 5's library(opens in new tab). Somehow, Oblivion's Horse Armor DLC is no longer the worst. It's also hard to say how much the game has come along since we tested it back in 2021. A brief glimpse of some "gameplay" (a streamer shooting at some walls(opens in new tab) while waiting for other players to join) doesn't look all that hot, let alone "insane in the membrane" as they describe it. Meanwhile, Grit still has a page on the Steam store, which is odd because Valve banned games with NFTs or cryptocurrency back in October of 2021 so it's safe to say Grit won't be launching there at all. In response to Valve's statement, Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney said in 2021 that Epic would "welcome" blockchain games provided they follow "the relevant laws, disclose their terms, and are age-rated," despite a month earlier describing blockchain games as being "tangled up with an intractable mix of scams." Somewhat ironically, Sweeney has been on Twitter today trying to let people know that a Fortnite NFT is a scam. Welcome to the blockchain! https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/half-baked-battle-royale-with-nfts-to-launch-on-the-epic-games-store-pleasing-nobody/

  10. HIGHLIGHTS Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 14 series later this year The new chip could offer performance improvements iPhone 14 is said to ditch the notched display. iPhone 14 series is expected to include four smartphones —iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max, and iPhone 14 Pro Max—with notable differences between the ‘Pro' and the regular models. As per a new report, the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro models will be powered by the new A16 Bionic chip, while the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will pack the A15 Bionic chip that is available on the current iPhone 13 devices. Previously Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also speculated that iPhone 14 Pro series would feature A16 Bionic SoC and the non-pro models would pack the A15 chip. As per a report by TrendForce, Apple will introduce four new iPhone 14 models in the second half of this year. The report suggests that iPhone 14 Pro models will be equipped with the latest chip, presumably the A16 Bionic chip. The report corroborates past speculations made by known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Kuo earlier indicated that while the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in the lineup would come with the A16 Bionic chip, the iPhone 14 models would use the same A15 SoC that power the iPhone 13 series. Kuo recently suggested that the A16 Bionic chip will be based on the TSMC's existing 5nm process technology. The fab process of the A16 Bionic chip is thought to be the same that is used for manufacturing the A15 Bionic chip. The latest chip could offer light improvements in performance and power-saving over the existing A15 Bonic. Apple is rumoured to unveil iPhone 14 series at an upcoming Apple event in September. The vanilla iPhone 14 is said to ditch the notched display. Screen sizes of the upcoming phones are also expected to get a little bigger. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max are expected to feature 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen sizes respectively. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are also said to get always-on display support through iOS 16. https://gadgets360.com/mobiles/news/iphone-14-pro-max-models-a16-a15-bionic-chip-apple-report-3031554
  11. The worst of the GPU shortages are behind us(opens in new tab). For now, at least! In a volatile global environment, it's hard to predict the future. But as things stand, a combination of factors is leading to a return to somewhat normalcy in the GPU market. These factors include a drop in crypto mining hardware demand and a ramping up of production. There's also growing anticipation for next generation cards, leading an increasing number of potential buyers to delay their GPU purchases. According to a new report from Jon Peddie Research(opens in new tab), it appears the GPU market is recovering from a buyers perspective. The report states that GPU shipments in the first quarter of 2022 saw a drop of 6.2% compared to the last quarter of 2021, with "only" 96 million units shipped in Q1. Note that these figures include vast numbers of integrated graphics solutions. The combination of decreasing demand and increased supply means the days of ridiculous GPU price scalping are behind us. After the explosive growth in sales over 2020 and 2021 due to work from home and mining demand, a pullback is hardly surprising. Add to that various geopolitical considerations including the war in Ukraine and Chinese Covid lockdowns and a 6.2% drop is a number that would have beaten many expectations. JPR goes on to note that the overall PC market is set to remain strong going forward. The GPU market is set to achieve an annual growth rate of 6.3% between 2022-2026. Interestingly, JPR makes a prediction that discrete GPUs will grow to 46% of PCs over the next five years. That implies fewer integrated solutions which would seem to buck the recent trend of seeing powerful integrated graphics replacing low end discrete solutions(opens in new tab). As we draw closer to the launch of next generation graphics cards(opens in new tab), the rest of the year is set to be interesting. It doesn’t take Nostradamus to predict that the first of these cards will be expensive, with limited availability. High end halo products generate headlines but they won’t radically shake up the overall market. We’ll have to wait for mid and low end cards before we see that. There’s also the much talked about, and much delayed introduction of Intel’s Arc series of cards(opens in new tab). Without hard information on how they perform and their pricing, it’s impossible to predict their effect on the market. Perhaps their influence will be felt more in the notebook market, where Intel’s CPUs and GPU notebooks are sure to be commonplace. It really is nice to see cards end up on store shelves, and not sent by the container load to miners. Long may it continue. https://www.pcgamer.com/graphics-card-shipments-have-actually-declined-in-2022/

  13. When it comes to flying in GTA Online(opens in new tab), I’m only good at heading in one direction –down. I’d consider it an achievement to land a plane without overshooting the runway, or set down a helicopter without catching the rotors in the world geometry and turning the vehicle into a giant frag grenade. So I was blown away by reddit user Boltrax’s short yet scintillating compilation of flying GTA Online’s ‘Havok’ helicopter through the game’s least helicopter-friendly areas. Posted under the title ‘Going where I’m not supposed to with the havok’(opens in new tab), the video sees Boltrax threading the needle under terrifyingly low bridges and through ridiculously narrow tunnels. It may only be short, exactly one minute long, but it’s possibly the most thrilling film I’ve seen all year. At one point, Boltrax swoops beneath a road-bridge so low that the Havok’s rotors scrape the underside of the bridge. The last ten seconds of the video, meanwhile, see Boltrax whipping through a railway tunnel which, as pointed out by another user further down the thread, visually resembles the trench-run at the end of Star Wars. Boltrax isn’t the only Havok ace to appear in the thread either. Another user, NoRagrets4Me, links to several of their own videos piloting the Havok through entirely unsuitable areas, including a canal (opens in new tab)and a construction site(opens in new tab). His clips aren’t as propulsive as Boltrax’s 60 second action-movie, but it’s some impressively controlled flying nonetheless. GTA Online has a well-established community of virtual stuntpeople, Joe Donnelly explored the game’s daredevil subculture(opens in new tab) a few years back, while the game itself provided more official support for stunts in the form of a TrackMania-esque stunt-racing mode(opens in new tab) around the same time. Given GTA V is almost ten-years-old now, it’s amazing how much players can still squeeze out of Los Santos. https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/check-out-these-wicked-helicopter-skills-in-gta-online/
  14. Redmi is rumoured to be working on an Ultra variant of the Redmi K50. It is expected to come with a 2K resolution OLED touchscreen with 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone will likely get the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and 100W fast charging. The Redmi smartphone is expected to launch in the latter half of this year, but the company is yet to confirm the handset. Redmi had launched the K50 and K50 Pro in March this year in China and the rumoured smartphone is said to be the flagship model in this series. Tipster Digital Chat Station, on the Chinese micro-blogging website Weibo, said that Redmi is working on a new flagship smartphone in the Redmi K50 series that is expected to launch in the second of this year. Redmi K50 Ultra is rumoured to get Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and it is said to feature a 2K resolution OLED touchscreen display with 120Hz refresh rate. The rumoured smartphone is also expected to come equipped with Dolby Vision support and 100W fast charging. Redmi, in March, had launched in China two new smartphones belonging to the K50 series, the Redmi K50 and Redmi K50 Pro. The new rumoured Redmi K50 Ultra smartphone is said to be the flagship variant in the lineup. To recall, Redmi K50 Pro came with a 6.67-inch OLED 2K resolution display and 120Hz refresh rate. The display of the smartphone could deliver up to 1,200 nits of maximum brightness and was protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The phone was powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. At the back, the smartphone sported a 100-megapixel 1/1.52-inch primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. At the front, it got a 20-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. https://gadgets360.com/mobiles/news/redmi-k50-ultra-flagship-smartphone-snapdragon-8-plus-gen-1-h2-2022-3023186
  15. If you're the type of person that doesn't like to wait for your purchases to be delivered, then perhaps one of these two gaming PC deals from iBuyPower will be perfect. They're ready to ship at a moment's notice and going for cheap for Memorial Day Let's start with the RTX 3060-powered machine, which is currently going for $1,219 at iBuyPower(opens in new tab). That's actually a $230 discount with another $50 on top, that you must make sure to get by entering coupon code 'RDY' at checkout. Don't worry, the discounts stack. This PC comes with Nvidia's best GPU on a budget and Intel's latest 12th Gen Core i5 12400F. That six-core, 12-thread CPU is actually one of our favourites from this generation, and its counterpart with onboard graphics, the Core i5 12400(opens in new tab), netted a whopping 95% approval rating from Dave in our review. The only difference there is that the 12400F doesn't come with its small onboard graphics chip enabled. That shouldn't be an issue for this machine, as the RTX 3060 12GB(opens in new tab) has a mighty frame buffer and delivers excellent 1080p and decent 1440p performance. This machine only appears to come with Intel's stock cooler, the one included in the retail box with the Core i5 CPU, so you might want to look at upgrading the chip chiller sooner rather than later. You can find a bunch of CPU coolers going for cheap anyways, like the Hyper 212 Evo V2(opens in new tab) or Freezer 34 Duo. The second machine comes with the more powerful RTX 3060 Ti(opens in new tab) for $1,349(opens in new tab) (again, with that coupon code 'RDY'), and what a graphics card that is. It's a big leap up from the RTX 3060, despite their shared name, and that's because it uses the same GPU found in the RTX 3070 Ti, RTX 3070, and RTX 3080 mobile. It's a dab hand at 1440p gaming, and you could push 4K with this, depending on the game at hand. The RTX 3060 Ti around 20–40% faster than the RTX 3060 12GB in our benchmarks, so definitely worth a look if you can stretch your budget. The CPU is AMD's po[CENSORED]r and fairly recent Ryzen 5 5600X(opens in new tab), which is a six-core, 12-thread chip. This is potentially quite a handy pick for this gaming PC, as the AM4 platform has a few extra options for CPU upgrades, if you so choose. You could load it up with the Ryzen 7 5800X3D(opens in new tab) if you really wanted to. In the meantime, this is a great gaming chip right out of the box, and it'll run cool thanks to an improved iBuyPower RGB liquid cooler installed from the get-go. The other specs are fairly similar to the RTX 3060 machine, which means you're paying about $130 for the upgrade to the RTX 3060 Ti, the Ryzen 5 5600X, and the liquid cooler. There's also 50 more Watts available from the PSU, so all-in a decent upgrade for an amount more cash. Both systems appear ready to ship by this Wednesday, June 1. A quick turnaround considering the lengthy wait times of the past 12 months. It definitely feels like things are getting a bit easier for the PC hardware market so far in 2022. https://www.pcgamer.com/these-two-rtx-3060-gaming-pcs-are-dollar300-off-and-ready-to-ship-right-away/

  17. Iron Harvest(opens in new tab) is essentially a World War 1 RTS, except that instead of developing primitive, unreliable tanks, the powers involved developed clunky, steam-powered battlemechs. It's a great concept and, happily, the execution lives up to it: We called it "a spectacular and rock-solid RTS" in our 82% review(opens in new tab), and a "worthy spiritual successor" to Relic's great Company of Heroes. Developer King Art has expanded the game since then with new modes of play, a re-imagining of the Russian Revolution, and—appropriately late—the addition of American forces. Today the studio announced that another major update(opens in new tab) is on the way that will add a new "World Map Campaign mode" for singleplayer combat against the AI. It's not campaign in the story-driven sense, but more like a game of Risk or Axis and Allies: Beginning from a particular starting point, players will square off against AI enemies in a straight-ahead war for world domination. Along with the premade starting conditions, custom scenario creation is also available. "Entering each province will expose you to new battles and skirmish set-ups," King Art said. "There'll be a lot of replayability in this game mode." The update will be free for all players. More details will be released as the update gets closer to release, but at this point there's no indication as to when that will be. And if you happen to be a Kickstarter backer—Iron Harvest began as a Kickstarter project(opens in new tab) back in 2018—you'll be happy to know that King Art said the long-awaited campaign rewards have also begun shipping, "and hopefully they will arrive on your doorstep within the next weeks." https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/iron-harvest-the-1920s-mech-rts-is-getting-a-free-world-map-campaign-update/
  18. Vivo V25 Pro 5G smartphone could be making its debut in the Indian market soon. The details are yet to be officially announced by the company, but the upcoming Vivo V-series handset that is expected to succeed the Vivo V23 Pro 5G recently appeared on multiple websites including the IMEI database and Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) certification listings. The Vivo V25 Pro 5G is said to be a rebranded Vivo S15 Pro that was launched in China earlier this week. The Vivo S15 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC and packs a 120Hz refresh rate display. Other key specifications include 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup. The predecessor Vivo V23 Pro 5G arrived in January in India as a rebranded version of the Vivo S12 Pro. Based on this, a report by Gizchina claims that Vivo S15 Pro 5G may launch as Vivo V25 Pro 5G in India. Recently, the upcoming smartphone had surfaced on the IMEI database with V2158 model number. The smartphone is tipped to come in 8GB RAM + 128GB, 8GB RAM + 256GB, and 12GB RAM + 256GB configurations. However, Vivo has not made any official announcements regarding the India launch of the Vivo V25 Pro 5G. To recall, the Vivo S15 Pro was introduced in China with a price tag of CNY 3,399 (roughly Rs. 39,000) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB model. The phone also comes in a 12GB + 256GB configuration that carries a price tag of CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs. 42,600). If the Vivo V25 Pro 5G is indeed a rebrand of the Vivo S15 Pro, we can expect pricing to be in line as well. Specifications of the upcoming Vivo V25 Pro 5G could be similar to that of the Vivo S15 Pro. The Vivo S15 Pro features a 6.56-inch full-HD+ Samsung E5 AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC, along with up to 12GB of RAM. It has a triple rear camera setup that houses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766V primary sensor. The handset packs 256GB of storage and includes a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. https://gadgets360.com/mobiles/news/vivo-v25-pro-5g-s15-rebranded-china-india-market-specifications-leak-3013836
  19. YouTube Music looks as though it is testing another new feature that will let listeners customize their radio queues via a list of filters found under the 'Up Next' section of the playlist. The feature doesn't seem to be widely available to YouTube Music subscribers just yet, but it was brought to light over on the YouTube Music subreddit(opens in new tab). The post features an image displaying the filters appearing just above the playlist in the form of pill-shaped selections (thanks, 9To5Google(opens in new tab)). Hanubeki, the Reddit user who made the original post, states the image shows filters options for "All" (which appears to be the default option), "Familiar," "Recommendation" and "Instrumental." They add that the options seem to change on a per-song basis, varying when a different song is played. The aim of the feature seems to be allow listeners to customize their radio queues on the fly, without the need to back out and choose a different playlist entirely. If you're glancing at your Up Next queue and not liking what you see, in theory, these filters may be able to adjust the list to include more songs that are to your liking. YouTube Music has impressed us in recent weeks with a steady stream of quality-of-life updates, and this new radio queue addition looks poised to become another winner in the app's feature cap. Of course, we can't really gauge its usefulness until we've tested it for ourselves, but the idea of being able to quickly adjust a queue without backing out of it is certainly appealing. Discovery of this feature comes shortly after Google's announcement of improvements to its YouTube Music casting feature, another quality-of-life change that should help listeners instantly connect to their most used casting device. Before that, the Android version of the app also received the ability to save queues as playlists, which was previously only accessible to listeners using the app on iOS. These updates, in addition to plans for a dedicated podcast section for the app, perhaps show that Google is keen to continuously add polish to YouTube Music for the foreseeable future. Here's hoping, then, that YouTube Music becomes even more abundant with feature and quality-of-life updates throughout the rest of this year and the next. https://www.techradar.com/news/youtube-musics-radio-queues-could-soon-get-a-significant-improvement
  20. Here come the Memorial Day PC gaming sales. Excuse me if I don't sound super enthusiastic. Although... wait. The Roccat ELO 7.1 Air is on sale, so maybe this won't be so bad. I don't tend to expect the most immense deals around this time of year, but this one isn't half bad. Right now they're a meagre $70(opens in new tab), down from the standard $100 price tag, and that make's them a whole lot more tempting. Having squished my face with the Roccat ELO 7.1 Air personally, I can safely say it's worth the sale price. Roccat ELO 7.1 Air Surround | 50mm drivers | 20Hz–20kHz | Closed-back | Wireless | $99.99 $69.99 at Target (save $30) Even without the discount this is a decent pair of headphones. They're a little tight around the face, but the sound quality is really something, and the battery life is around 24 hours. Having a detachable mic is a plus, and although it's not got the most incredible colour accuracy, the RGB lighting is pretty funky. When I say squished my face, I'm basically admitting the ear cups can be a little overwhelming, especially if you wear glasses. But there's still a lot to love about this swanky, RGB laden gaming headset. With accurate 7.1 surround sound (hence the name) for competitive gaming, and decent sound quality, we gave the Roccat ELO 7.1 Air(opens in new tab) a ripe score of 82. The fact the battery life goes on for a good 24hrs isn't bad, and the only major drawbacks came in the form of price, and the mild inaccuracy of the RGB lighting. The price has been sorted for the time being; otherwise, it's a pretty poggers headset if you ask me. https://www.pcgamer.com/a-wireless-roccat-gaming-headset-for-dollar30-less-than-usual-please/

  22. Modder LukeYui's project to bring seamless, user-friendly co-op to Elden Ring enters public beta today, with the mod available for download(opens in new tab) on the Elden Ring Nexus. Elden Ring's cooperative play is severely limited: it's bounded in the open world, you can't ride your horse, and cooperators get sent back home on defeating a boss. It's understandable that FromSoftware's formula might have some growing pains in the transition to open world design, but co-op is the one area I think they really failed to adequately adapt. I mostly went lone wolf in my first playthrough, partially out of preference but also because I didn't want to fiddle with all the little "finger" items and aforementioned annoyances. LukeYui's mod provides a more user-friendly platform for playing Elden Ring with friends. LukeYui is an experienced hand with altering FromSoft games' online functionality: he's behind Sekiro's multiplayer mod(opens in new tab), as well as the Blue Sentinel(opens in new tab) project which addressed hacking and security vulnerabilities in Dark Souls 3. The Seamless Co-op mod allows for continuous uninterrupted play with support for multiple players riding their own Torrent, allowing them to enjoy Elden Ring with friends as long as they want, as opposed to the base game's "ships in the night" approach to cooperative play. The mod also has its own launcher and connectivity, separate from EAC and similar to LukeYui's offline launcher(opens in new tab), which means you can enjoy this style of play without risking your status in normal online play.
