  1. It's easy to get caught up on the news that the spouse of a sitting Supreme Court justice went full QAnon regarding the 2020 election, parroting conspiratorial delusions around how "the Biden crime family" would be "living in barges off GITMO to face a military tribunal" for the grievous crime of getting more votes than "This Great President." (Scattergun capitalization appears to be a hallmark of the politically unhinged.) Granted, Thomas seemed to legitimately believe Trump really won, likely because she boiled her own brain in a vat of right-wing Internet. But within its sterling writeup of Ginni Thomas's communications with then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows—as Donald Trump's coterie attempted to overturn the results of an election he lost so that he could stay in power in contravention of the will of the American public—the Washington Post flagged an important detail. Trump spoke publicly during this period about his intent to contest the election results in the Supreme Court. “This is a major fraud on our nation,” the president said in a speech at 2:30 the morning after the election. “We want the law to be used in a proper manner. So we’ll be going to the U.S. Supreme Court.” This was the same speech in which Trump declared victory, which most people processed as a shock despite the fact that, just like in 2016, he'd been saying for months before the election that if he lost it would be because the election was rigged. In both cases, the actual outcome of the vote was secondary: if, as in 2016, he triumphed in the Electoral College, then the results were to be trumpeted. (And in that case, he still said there was massive voter fraud, of which he could provide zero evidence, as an excuse for losing the po[CENSORED]r vote.) When, in the early morning of November 4, 2020, it did not look as if the actual votes were going his way, he immediately declared them Fake and declared himself the winner. But the really interesting reminder the Post provides is that from the first moment, Trump's plan was to take this fight to the Supreme Court. There, the election would not be decided by the 158 million Americans who voted, but by nine people in black robes—three of whom he personally put there. (And wherever did he get that idea?) Of the six remaining justices, Samuel Alito is probably the most dependable right-wing vote possible, a true ideologue who starts at his preferred conclusion and backfills the justification from there, even if it means taking the question at issue in a case and treating your preferred answer as a premise of the argument. And the last, fifth vote he'd need was...Clarence Thomas, husband to GITMO Ginni. This doesn't mean all five would have delivered for Trump, but he certainly thought they would. The beauty of Republicans pulling the battering ram out to get Amy Coney Barrett on the Court in almost comic disregard of their previously stated principles regarding the appointment of Supreme Court justices in an election year was that Trump no longer needed RINO Chief Justice John Roberts, who seems to still harbor some concern for the legitimacy of the Supreme Court as an institution. Like it or not, Notorious R.B.G. fans, but this is part of her legacy. When you play the Game of Robes, you resign under a normal president or you wait long enough to hand over your seat to The Windmill Guy. Speaking of which, Ol' Donny Windmills is, if we can believe a word of what his erstwhile ally Congressman Mo Brooks has to say, even farther off his rocker than could once be imagined. The two had a falling out where Trump withdrew his endorsement of Brooks in the Alabama Republican senate primary, probably because Brooks is floundering in the polls. Some payback for the kind of friend who wears body armor to your pre-riot shindig and tells the frothing crowd, "Today is the day American patriots start taking down names and kicking a**. Now, our ancestors sacrificed their blood, their sweat, their tears, their fortunes and sometimes their lives … Are you willing to do the same? My answer is yes. Louder! Are you willing to do what it takes to fight for America?" Anyway, Brooks repaid this repayment by airing what he claims is Trump's dirty laundry. It smells significantly more foul than when we last checked in on it. President Trump asked me to rescind the 2020 elections, immediately remove Joe Biden from the White House, immediately put President Trump back in the White House, and hold a new special election for the presidency. As a lawyer, I’ve repeatedly advised President Trump that Jan. 6 was the final election contest verdict and neither the U.S. Constitution nor the U.S. Code permit what President Trump asks. Period. OK so the most recent former president is still engaged in an active campaign to seize the presidency without getting elected. It is a feckless and delusional one, as it seems it ran through a single backbench congressman until Brooks's defection, but it continues nonetheless. But the real illustration here is how Brooks has taken up the less extreme position within the Trumpist fever swamps and it is still completely detached from reality. Brooks trumpets that he's a lawyer, yet he describes January 6 as "the final election contest verdict." No it was not! Nothing was decided on January 6! The election was decided by people voting months earlier. Congress and Vice President Mike Pence played no role in determining the outcome of the election because that was not within their power. It wasn't their job. Brooks and Trump and the rest of these disgraces to the American democratic republic attempted to overturn the election results on January 6. That is all. Nothing was legitimately contested by that point. It was settled from a legal and democratic perspective, which is why these people required a violent mob to storm the legislature. They failed to seize power through legal chicanery, so they turned to force. Anyway, it's probably fine that Brooks is now considered a reasonable guy and Clarence Thomas will not only refuse to resign, but will also probably refuse to recuse himself from January 6 cases. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/dont-miss-these-two-revelations-in-the-massive-sea-of-news-about-trumps-coup-attempt/ar-AAVucuP?ocid=BingNewsSearch
  2. Black News Channel, the TV news service launched in 2019 to be a voice for people of color, is ceasing operations as soon as Friday, according to two people familiar with the matter. The Tallahassee, Fla.-based outlet, whose majority stakeholder is Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan, failed to meet payroll on Friday, a day after telling employees that paychecks would be delayed. An announcement that the company will cease operations, putting its staff of 230 — a vast majority of whom are people of color — out of work, could come later in the day. Khan was no longer willing to invest further, according to people briefed on the matter. The channel has been shopped to a number of media companies, including Byron Allen's Entertainment Studios, but there have been no takers. A representative for Black News Channel declined comment. Black News Channel was conceived by a group headed up by former U.S. Rep. J.C. Watts (R-Okla.) and media executive Bob Brilliante. The channel launched after Khan made a $50-million investment in 2019, making him the majority shareholder. The channel reached more than 50 million cable and satellite households, but was unable to generate a significant audience. The entity entered the cable news landscape at a time when consumers were shifting away from traditional TV. Most video-based TV start-ups and niche services are turning to streaming platforms. The average audience for BNC was fewer than 10,000 viewers, according to Nielsen data, though it had been growing in recent months. The failure to meet payroll and the expected announcement of a shutdown stunned and angered employees at the channel. Many of the staffers came to BNC from larger, established news organizations because they believed in the mission of a TV service that provided news and information for a diverse audience. But BNC, which delayed its launch a few times, had to overcome some early stumbles. When Watts announced the network, he signaled that it would have a conservative slant, which likely turned off a large segment of the potential audience. He touted a possible show with right-wing radio host and former California gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder. The company also had to deal with a class-action discrimination lawsuit filed by former and current female employees. The suit alleged that the women were being paid less than their male counterparts and that managers complained that they were "insufficiently feminine." Hair, a veteran news executive who once headed CNN's U.S. operations, was brought in after the launch and made the channel look more like the established cable news outlets, mixing breaking news coverage during the day with opinion programs at night. Hair also signed several big-name hosts, including New York Times opinion writer Charles Blow and former Atlanta TV anchor Sharon Reed. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/shad-khans-black-news-channel-is-shutting-down/ar-AAVuWsN?ocid=BingNewsSearch

  8. Samsung is no stranger to attacking a product category with multiple options at different price points, and offering large discounts on those products is another of its signatures. The robot vacuum space isn’t an exception, with the Samsung Jet Bot Plus — its mid-tier option — available today for $399.99 at Best Buy and Amazon. The Jet Bot Plus offers fairly strong suction, a soft brush that’s especially good for hard surfaces, and a self-cleaning station borrowed from its pricier, AI-infused counterpart. This package usually costs $799, which is a bit much for a robot vacuum that lacks object detection, but the current discount of 50 percent makes the Jet Bot Plus more approachable. The Jet Bot Plus’ addition of a self-cleaning station makes it more attractive at this price point, though its brush design makes it better suited for hard floor surfaces, as it lacks some of the deep carpet cleaning you get in other models. It also has a tendency to tangle up long strands of hair, which is something vacuums like the recently updated iRobot Roomba i3 Plus EVO now do better — albeit for about $100 more. While that Roomba i3 might be worth it for some that can stretch their budgets a little further, the Jet Bot Plus offers a nice value at its current deal price. Sticking with smart home deals for a moment, the Smart Garage Door Opener Remote by Meross is currently just $37.49 at Amazon when you clip the $5 on-page coupon. We have seen similar deals to this one in the past, and it’s about $2 shy of its lowest price to date, but it’s a worthwhile accessory that’s highly recommended by some Verge staffers. This smart garage door opener doesn’t require a hub, but it easily connects to Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Samsung SmartThings. Using Meross’ smartphone app, you can open or close your garage door from anywhere you have an internet connection. This helpful feature is an invaluable asset when you’re not home but need to let in a friend or family member or for just never having to worry “Did we remember to close the garage door before we left?” ever again. In need of good pair of true wireless earbuds that won’t break the bank? Or maybe you already own a fancy pair like Apple’s AirPods Pro but need something else as a “knock-around” model? Enter the Jabra Elite 65t, which are currently on sale for just $54.99 at Best Buy, a discount of about $45. These earbuds came out in 2018, and while many other earbuds have added newer tech like improved audio codecs in that time, they have also continued getting pricier. It’s hard to find earbuds in this price range from a reliable brand that are worthwhile, at least without opting for a refurbished or used model. The Jabra Elite 65t may lack noise cancellation and will soon be phased out in favor of Jabra’s latest models, but they offer a stable wireless connection and good sound quality, rendering them a no-fuss value. And just look at the size of that charging case! It’s incredibly compact, which makes these all the better for throwing in a gym bag or taking along on a trip. Now, if only it didn’t charge over Micro USB. Read our review. Lately, it seems as though Apple’s new Mac Studio and M1 Ultra CPUs have been generating all the buzz, namely for their exceptional performance for high-level pros and content creators. But let’s not forget that even the base M1 processor does a fine job for us mere mortals who need an efficient machine for everyday use and some light creative work. Apple’s colorful, 24-inch iMac fits the bill for an everyday desktop computer, whether you intend to do some light work in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom or just need a well-equipped family computer that should last more than a few years. How ideal, then, that the base model iMac is on sale at Amazon right now for $100 off, matching the machine’s best price to date. This configuration comes with the M1 CPU outfitted with seven GPU cores, along with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. This model usually runs $1,299, but today’s deal brings the price down to $1,199 for the blue, pink, and green colorways. It’s an excellent value for a capable computer, complete with a 4.5K display and a quality 1080p webcam — complete with Apple’s Center Stage. 10. Apple Inc. is working on a subscription service for the iPhone and other hardware products. It is a move that could make device ownership similar to paying a monthly app fee, according to people with knowledge of the matter. The service would be Apple’s biggest push yet into automatically recurring sales, allowing users to subscribe to hardware for the first time — rather than just digital services. But the project is still in development, said the people who asked not to be identified because the initiative hasn’t been announced. Apple shares climbed to a session high after Bloomberg reported on the news, gaining as much as 1.6% to $172.87. The stock had been down 4.1% this year through Wednesday’s close. Adopting hardware subscriptions, akin to an auto-leasing program, would be a major strategy shift for a company that has generally sold devices at full cost outright, sometimes through instalments or with carrier subsidies. It could help Apple generate more revenue and make it easier for consumers to stomach spending thousands of dollars on new devices. Already, the iPhone is Apple’s biggest source of sales, generating nearly $192 billion last year more than half the company’s revenue. The iPhone accounted for more than half of Apple sales last year. A spokeswoman for Cupertino, California-based Apple declined to comment on the company’s plans. The idea is to make the process of buying an iPhone or iPad on par with paying for iCloud storage or an Apple Music subscription each month. Apple is planning to let customers subscribe to hardware with the same Apple ID and App Store account they use to buy apps and subscribe to services today. The program would differ from an instalment program in that the monthly charge wouldn’t be the price of the device split across 12 or 24 months. Rather, it would be a yet-to-be-determined monthly fee that depends on which device the user chooses. The company has discussed allowing users of the program to swap out their devices for new models when fresh hardware comes out. It historically releases new versions of its major devices, including the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, once a year. Apple has been working on the subscription program for several months, but the project was recently put on the back burner in an effort to launch a “buy now, pay later” service more quickly. Nonetheless, the subscription service is still expected to launch at the end of 2022, but could be delayed into 2023 or end up getting cancelled, the people said. Bloomberg reported last year that the company has been working on a “buy now, pay later” service for all Apple Pay transactions. The company has had preliminary discussions internally about attaching the hardware subscription program to its Apple One bundles and AppleCare technical support plans. Apple launched the bundles in 2020 to let users subscribe to several services — including TV+, Arcade, Music, Fitness+ and iCloud storage — for a lower monthly fee. The subscriptions would likely be managed through a user’s Apple account on their devices, through the App Store and on the company’s website. It would likely also be an option at checkout on Apple’s online store and at its physical retail locations. Apple accounts are typically tied to a user’s credit or debit card. The iPhone maker wouldn’t be the first company to push hardware subscriptions. Peloton Interactive Inc. recently started testing a subscription service that lets consumers lease bikes and fitness content for between $60 and $100 per month. Google also has tried a similar approach with its Chromebook laptops, targeting corporate customers. And Apple has offered several instalment programs in the past to split up the cost of devices, though not with a subscription model. In 2015, the company launched the iPhone Upgrade Program, financed through Citizens One Personal Loans, that let users spread the cost of an iPhone over 24 months and upgrade to a new model every 12 months. It also lets Apple Card users divide the cost of an iPhone or Apple Watch over 24 months or an iPad or Mac over 12 months. Wireless carriers offer several monthly instalment programs as well. The new approach could make existing services less appealing. A subscription program tied to an Apple account would likely be simpler to manage than a carrier program or even the instalment plans for the Apple Card. https://mybroadband.co.za/news/hardware/438756-apple-working-on-iphone-and-hardware-subscription-service.html
  11. Lanes around a farm in Devon have been blocked for three days following an RSPCA investigation which has led to the removal of more than 250 horses, sheep, pigs, goats, guinea pigs, rabbits and cows, according to reports. Police and Trading Standards officers arrived to support the RSPCA. Neighbours report that smaller animals were removed on the first day of the joint operation. Today, neighbours reported "a whole fleet" of animal transport lorries, horseboxes and animal trailers which have been removing larger livestock including around 100 horses and ponies. Devon and Cornwall Police and Devon Trading Standards both confirmed that the RSPCA is the lead agency in the investigation at the farm. Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police remain at a farm in the Chulmleigh area of North Devon. We are there to support our partners from the RSPCA and an animal welfare charity, as part of an ongoing investigation linked to the area. “Our role is to keep the peace, and at this time no arrests have been made in connection to said on-going investigation. Police are unable to comment further at this time." Horseboxes and animal transport lorries have blocked the circular roads around the farm and police have returned on a number of occasions over the three days. A neighbour said: "The police, the RSPCA and Trading Standards have been at the property for three days and are removing livestock. There's 250 animals which have been removed. The roads were blocked with horseboxes and big animal lorries yesterday. I have been talking to the RSPCA and Trading Standards officers who said they have come to take the animals away and they say the animals will never be coming back. There's in the region of 100 horses and ponies." Today, three more large animal lorries were parked in lanes outside and horses were being seen removed. Neighbours report that police were in attendance for two days. One neighbour said: "It's a sad thing that's happening." A spokesperson for the RSPCA said: “We’re grateful to people who report their concerns to us but we cannot comment any further as we are unable to discuss ongoing enquiries about specific individuals and what action may be taken. We understand how frustrating that is for animal lovers but releasing information could prejudice a future investigation or could lead to us being fined.” https://www.devonlive.com/news/devon-news/ongoing-investigation-250-animals-removed-6850930
  12. Caught on camera in front of the "Today" show studios on March 21, 2022, Eva Longoria unveiled a stunning plaid ensemble that is very trendy for the upcoming spring. While she has just celebrated her 47th birthday (on March 15), Eva Longoria continues to show us the way in terms of trends. A few weeks ago, during a restaurant outing in Beverly Hills with her husband Jose Antonio Baston, the former Wisteria Lane bombshell recalled the good memories when she set the TV screens on fire in Desperate Housewives. The mother of the small Santiago sported that evening chosen a slim jean in washed out, tendency taken in the years 2000. Po[CENSORED]rized in the middle of this decade by designers such as Hedi Slimane, the piece could well make a comeback. While waiting for the return of the washed slim, Eva Longoria has fun with the spring to come. The ex-wife of Tony Parker takes advantage of the vernal temperatures to wear a look in the air of time. On March 21, a few days after her birthday, the actress was photographed in front of the studios of the show "Today" in which she participated to promote her new podcast, Connections With Eva Longoria. On Instagram, she explains her podcast as a space where "each week I will connect with experts in different spaces to teach us how to connect more deeply with ourselves." All topics are covered: spirituality, money, sex, parenting, beauty and more! Eva Longoria drew for the occasion a beautiful set of beige and light blue checks. The actress, bare shoulders, accessorized this outfit with large hoop earrings, a necklace with delicate links and a wristwatch in bright gold. Hair loose and natural, the actress relied on a discreet makeup but she likes particularly by displaying a smoky eye in dark tones. For the shoes, she wore clear heels with pointed toe in the same spirit as her spring ensemble. 13. Another information company has been banned in Russia in what seems to be routine. This is the information service Google News , whose access has been prohibited in Russian territory by Roskomnadzor (the Russian censor body) considering that it presents false content regarding the armed conflict in Ukraine. A statement from state media Interfax explained that the service: "provides access to numerous publications and materials containing public and inauthentic information about the special military operation in Ukraine." Although Google is not in the business of creating content, its news service compiles information from thousands of media outlets to present to users around the world. The ban comes just hours after Google's announcement not to allow the monetization of content that "exploits, ignores, or condones" the war. After receiving reports of the platform malfunctioning in Russia, Google confirmed in a statement that the service had been blocked: "We have confirmed that some people are having difficulty accessing the Google News app and website in Russia and that this It is not due to any technical problem on our side… We have worked hard to keep information services like (Google) News accessible to people in Russia for as long as possible." Google News is one more in a long list of media and services that have been banned by the Russian censorship body. They include the BBC, Deutsche Welle, Radio Free Europe and the independent Russian site Meduza , as well as social networks like Facebook and Instagram that have been branded extremist . At the beginning of March, a law was passed that prohibits the publication of content that could discredit the Russian army or refer to the conflict as a war. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/other/now-russia-blocks-access-to-google-news/ar-AAVsHe9?ocid=BingNewsSearch
  14. Hello @Inmortal, I know you were on STAFF in the past but I want to ask you a few questions before I give you my vote: 1.Why do you want to be part of the STAFF again? 2.If we asked the person responsible for you at work to describe you, what would he say? 3.If you are accepted, you will have no problem to be active in our forum?
  15. Hello @The PuNiSheR., Good to see you back on the forum But I have seen that you have made several requests to be part of this project and seeing the opinions that were in your last request caught my attention. From me, I will give you a pro for pending to see your activity in 3 days. And I want to see @Nurche opinion in this request since he was the one who accepted you last year...
  16. Okay, let's be serious: Your answers are generic since anyone would say the same thing. Your second answer I can't believe you because based on your activity I don't see that you are working hard on the forum and it is similar to your first answer... Like Tsemaa said you don't need a rank to help others, you can help them to the best of your ability by giving advice if you are willing to do it. It's not your first request here as you said:https://csblackdevil.com/forums/topic/415564-request-recrutement-solutioned/ -Seeing your activity in the journalist project is bad because you have 0 activity for 1 week... -And I want to know @Cyber Punk and @TreY opinion about your activity in the GoG project.
  17. From me U deserve a chance to be part of the STAFF but I want to tell you that while the GoG project was being rebuilt you could do activity in other projects as normally it is recommended to be in 2 projects and by the way I like the reply's you gave them. Good Luck!

Good Luck!
  19. Hello Ap0caLipse, There are several things that don't seem normal to me... Your last activity in the projects was on March 14: https://csblackdevil.com/forums/profile/87522-ap0calipse/content/ You have less than 50 words in describe yourself and about your defects I think they are more qualities than defects... Please explain this to me? And by the way I want to ask some questions: 1.Why do you want to be part of the STAFF? 2.Tell us some ideas to improve the community?? 3.Why should we hire you?
  20. As he said it is too early to be a moderator... For the moment I give you
