Vivo Y76 5G is in the works and may launch soon, if recent leaks are any indication. The new Y-series smartphone has allegedly been spotted on multiple websites including Taiwan's National Communications Commission (NCC). Vivo Y76 5G is also said to have appeared on NBTC, SIRIM, and IMDA websites pretty much confirming its existence. Additionally, the live images of the Vivo handset have surfaced online that show resemblance to the Vivo Y76s that was launched earlier this week in China. The Vivo Y76 5G is speculated to come as a global variant of Vivo Y76s. Tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) has posted live images of Vivo Y76 5G saying that the phone surfaced on the NCC website. The handset is apparently listed on the NCC website with the model number V2124. Vivo Y76 5G smartphone is said to also have been spotted in multiple certification listings including NBTC, SIRIM, and IMDA. The handset is expected to support 5G and NFC. The listing doesn't reveal any features of the device but leaked images suggest a design more or less identical to Vivo Y76s, the latest model in the company's Y-series. Based on this, it's safe to speculate that the Chinese smartphone maker is likely to introduce Vivo Y76s as Vivo Y76 5G in the global market. The pictures shared by the tipster indicate a flat display, dual cameras, and 44W fast charging support — same as Vivo Y76s. Other details of Vivo Y76 5G are also speculated to mirror the Vivo Y76s. To recall, Vivo Y76s runs on Android 11 with OriginOS 1.0 and features a 6.58-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,408 pixels) display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 90.61 percent screen-to-body ratio. The handset is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. For optics, Vivo Y76s features a dual rear camera setup that houses a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. For selfies, Vivo Y76s features an 8-megapixel front camera. Vivo Y76s has up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage that is expandable via a microSD card (up to 1TB). The handset has a 4,100mAh battery that supports 44W Flash Charge fast charging. Vivo Y76s price has been set at CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs. 20,800) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant in the Chinese market.

Update 11:00 GMT: Google says it has now fixed all the known issues. "The problem with Gmail has been resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support," the company wrote. Update: 09:30 GMT: Google has confirmed it is looking into problems with Gmail and some of its other services. "We are currently investigating an issue affecting user access to multiple services affecting users in Europe," the company noted. Email service Gmail has receovered after suffering widespread issues this morning after a possible outage affectied both its online and mobile apps. According to data from real-time outage monitoring service DownDetector, the incident began at roughly 0300 ET/08:00 GMT, with thousands of users having registered problems across Europe, Asia and the US. Along with Gmail, Google Chat, Google Meet, Google Groups and Google Calendar are also affected, with each program showing an alert on the official Google Workspace dashboard. Gmail issues "We are currently investigating an issue affecting user access to multiple services affecting users in Europe," Google noted. "We're investigating reports of an issue with Gmail. We will provide more information shortly. The affected users are uable to access Gmail," it added on the Gmail-specific page. "We are investigating an issue which is affecting some users in Europe affecting their ability to access some services." The issues, which seemed to affect logging in to an online account, hit users in the UK, Europe and the US. Some users took to Twitter to complain they can't access Gmail services at all, and internal evidence from the TechRadar Pro team saw us unable to log into our accounts, with the usual 2FA security authenticiation methods running very slowly. Sending 2FA alerts to a mobile device took much longer than usual, and in some cases resulted in an error, leaving us unable to log in as workers across the country log in for their working day.

AMD published three security bulletins yesterday addressing the security vulnerabilities affecting its EPYC processors and the Radeon graphics driver for Windows 10. Although many are marked High severity, they are mitigated with a driver update and AGESA packages. The chipmaker exposed 22 potential vulnerabilities that affect three generations of EPYC processors: EPYC 7001 (Naples), EPYC 7002 (Rome) and EPYC 7003 (Milan). The exploits specifically target the AMD Platform Security Processor (PSP), AMD System Management Unit (SMU), AMD Secure Encrypted Virtualization (SEV) and other platform components. In response to the exploits, AMD distributed the the NaplesPI-SP3_1.0.0.G, RomePI-SP3_1.0.0.C and MilanPI-SP3_1.0.0.4 AGESA updates to its OEM partners. If you're running one of AMD's EPYC chips, you should contact your OEM for the update. The Radeon graphics driver for Windows 10 was equally filled with vulnerabilities. AMD detected up to 27 different exploits with varying levels of severity that impact both mainstream and enterprise consumers. Luckily, users just need to update their Radeon drivers to the latest version to patch the security holes. Mainstream users need to have at least Radeon Adrenalin 21.4.1 installed, which isn't a big problem assuming that most, if not all, users should already be on the latest 21.11.2 version. On the other hand, enterprise users will need to make sure that they're running at the very least the Radeon Pro Enterprise 21.Q2 driver. But, again, we don't see this being an issue since the latest 21.Q3 driver has been available since September. The last security vulnerability targets AMD's μProf tool, which analyzes application performance on operating systems, including Windows, Linux and FreeBSD. The chipmaker recommends users update the μProf tool to version 3.4.394 on Windows and 3.4-502 on Linux.

Redmi Note 11 series is tipped to launch in global markets with a refreshed design and Qualcomm Snapdragon chips. The series, which comprises the regular Redmi Note 11 as well as Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+, debuted in China late last month with MediaTek Dimensity SoCs. Its features include a hole-punch display design and 5G connectivity. In the lineup, Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ also offer specifications including 120Hz display and up to 256GB of onboard storage. Vietnamese news website The Pixel has reported that the Redmi Note 11 series will come with a completely different design and include Qualcomm Snapdragon chips over MediaTek Dimensity SoCs. The new phones are said to be launched in Vietnam in the first quarter of 2022 — the earliest could be in January. The report further says that the Redmi Note 11 models that will come with the Snapdragon SoCs in global markets including Vietnam will also be launched in China at a later stage, but with a different name. Although the reason for switching to Snapdragon SoCs isn't yet clear, a tipster who goes by pseudonym @chunvn8888 on Twitter has suggested that it could be due to some shortage in supply of the Dimensity chips at Xiaomi's facility. The tipster previously speculated that the global versions of the Redmi Note 11 series could come with the newly launched Snapdragon 778G Plus and Snapdragon 695 SoCs. Earlier this week, Poco M4 Pro 5G was launched as a rebranded Redmi Note 11. This is also tipped to launch in India as Redmi Note 11T 5G. In contrast, Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ are rumoured to come to the Indian market as the Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge, respectively.

There’s never been a better time to build an end-to-end home entertainment system. Not only do today’s TVs offer the highest resolutions and display lifelike images, but the latest audio components with support for immersive sound take watching a movie, TV show or playing a game at home to a whole new level. Technologies enabling 4K and 8K resolution, high dynamic range (HDR) video with a wide color gamut (WCG) that’s truer to life than that of legacy displays, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X object-based audio that immerses viewers in the soundscape, and a range of supporting electronics gear are convincing millions that now is the time to upgrade their home entertainment experience. For the homeowner who has to put all of these components together, there’s more good news. Thanks to the HDMI® 2.1 specification features and several resellers distributing the latest Ultra High Speed HDMI Cables, it’s never been easier to integrate the absolute latest system. “Now that consumers can upgrade to an end-to-end HDMI 2.1-enabled system, they can enjoy the next great ‘WOW’ experience,” said Jim Scatena, Director of Sales at AudioQuest. “TVs, soundbars, AVRs, and game consoles are now available, and we’re focused on enabling system connectivity with our Ultra High Speed HDMI® Cables.” TV and Sound Major TV manufacturers have introduced HDMI 2.1 feature support into many of their new 4K and 8K televisions. Many, motivated by a desire to attract gamers to TVs as an alternative to computer monitors for gameplay, are offering HDMI 2.1-enabled models with support for gaming features like 4K at a 120Hz refresh rate, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for built-in switching between gaming and TV modes, and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) for a smoother gaming experience. Today’s audio-video receivers (AVRs) and soundbars with HDMI 2.1 connectivity support HDMI eARC, or Enhanced Audio Return Channel. Not only does eARC transport audio signals at up to 192 kHz, 24-bit, thereby becoming a gateway to Dolby Atmos or DTS:X immersive sound, but they also simplify accessing the audio signal from its source. With the holiday season right around the corner and big sporting events and streaming movie releases coming up, many consumers will be looking to replace their old home entertainment systems with the best the consumer electronics industry has to offer. Thanks to HDMI 2.1 features, doing so has never been easier nor more worthwhile.

Moto G Power (2022) smartphone has been spotted in a Geekbench listing. The handset will be equipped with 4GB of RAM and run Android 11 out-of-the-box, as per the listing. The details about the rumoured smartphone are scarce and Motorola has also not made anything official about the launch plans yet. The company introduced Moto G Power (2021), the predecessor of Moto G Power (2022), along with Moto G Stylus (2021), Moto G Play (2021), and Motorola One 5G Ace in January this year. As per the Geekbench listing, the Moto G Power (2022) will be run on an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. The phone is said to launch with Android 11. The benchmarking website has rated the phone with 165 points and 1,013 points in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. The Moto G Power (2022) is the successor of the Moto G Power (2021), which was launched in January earlier this year. It made its debut in the US at a starting price of $199.99 (roughly Rs. 14,800), but the phone was not launched in India. It is yet to be seen whether the Lenovo-owned company will unveil the smartphone in the country this time around. The Tor Project has announced that the latest version of Tor Browser is now available from both the Tor Browser download page as well as its distribution directory. Not only is this the first stable release based on Firefox ESR 91 but it also includes an important update to Tor 0.4.6.8. Earlier this this year, Mozilla completely redesigned its browser from the ground up, streamlined its menus and added an all-new tab design to Firefox. Now by basing the latest version of its anonymous browser on Firefox ESR 91, the Tor Project is bringing this new design to Tor Browser for the first time. Each piece of custom UI in Tor Browser 11 has been modernized to match Firefox's new look and feel and this includes everything from color, typography and buttons to redrawing each of its icons to match the new thinner icon style. At the same time, the connection screen, circuit display, security levels and onion site errors have all received a touch up as well. Deprecation of V2 onion services The Tor Project announced last year that V2 onion services would be deprecated at the end of 2021 and since the release of Tor Browser 10.5, it has been warning users who visit V2 online sites of their upcoming retirement. Now that day has finally come and since updating to Tor 0.4.5.8, V2 onion services are no longer reachable in Tor Browser with users receiving an “Invalid Online Site Address” error instead. If you receive an error when attempting to visit a previously working V2 address, there is nothing wrong with your browser and the issue actually lies with the site itself. In order to access the site, you can try reaching out to its administrator and asking them to upgrade to a V3 onion service. Tor Browser users can also easily see whether or not they have any old V2 addresses saved in their bookmarks as the more secure V3 addresses are 56 characters long compared to the 16 character length used by V2 addresses. Canonical, the power behind the development of Ubuntu, has launched the latest version of Multipass that will now let M1 Macbook users run Ubuntu virtual machines (VMs), with minimal fuss. Multipass is a lightweight VM manager for Linux, Windows and macOS, which helps developers spin up a fresh Linux environment with a single command. According to Canonical, with the support for M1 MacBooks, Multipass will help get developers running Linux faster than any other option on the market. Multipass M1 “Canonical wants to get developers running on Linux faster than any other option on the market, and the Multipass team has helped accomplish that,” said Canonical product manager Nathan Hart. One highlight of the new release is the Aliases feature, using which developers will be able to tie commands within a VM to commands on the host OS, in essence giving users a near-native experience for any Linux app. Linux on the M1 Canonical notes that M1 users haven’t had many options for running Linux, with at best experimental support for the new architecture in po[CENSORED]r VM platforms such as VirtualBox and VMware. Furthermore, it contends that where support does exist, getting everything set up usually requires hands-on configuration, management, and maintenance. “Multipass is Canonical’s answer: free VM software that removes all set-up and configuration overhead so developers can get straight to the projects that matter to them,” claims Canonical. It adds that Multipass can not only spin up and destroy multiple VMs with ease, it also enables developers to choose from a growing library of images and special purpose machines such as the Anbox Cloud appliance, which allows developers to run Android apps in Multipass. To help you run Linux, we’ve rounded up the best Linux laptops

OWC today announced the Accelsior 8M2, which it claims is the densest, fastest commercial SSD ever to grace Earth's shores. Is it one of the best SSDs? Perhaps not, as the 8M2 features a PCIe add-in card design with an x16 connection and is geared toward Mac Pro desktops. Most NVMe solutions make do with an x4 PCIe interface, via an M.2 or U.2 connector. The Accelsior 8M2 PCIe add-in card features a total of eight individual NVMe M.2 SSD slots, all running at their full x4 lanes of data throughput. The company announced drive compatibility with macOS 11 Big Sur, M1 Macbooks, Windows 10, and Linux systems. But with great power comes an even greater price-tag: the densest, 64 TB configuration (8x 8TB SSDs) will set users back a cool $12,999. That's actually the cheapest price per GB of the bunch, at 'only' $0.20 per GB. The 2TB model featuring eight 240GB drives is actually the highest cost for the available storage at $0.68 per GB. The PCIe add-in card has a thin, light, and relatively long design. It has an integrated heatsink and active fan, no doubt a requirement for a product that pairs eight separate NVMe drives under the same heatsink. OWC opted for a no-frills aesthetic, with dashes of blue in both the PCB and I/O plate. An additional 6-pin PEG power connector supplements the PCIe slot's power delivery, yielding a potential 150W of combined power. OWC is quick to point out the performance fluidity one can expect from the absolutely gargantuan throughput. The company says that the Accelsior 8M2 is able both edit and playback 16 simultaneous streams of 8K ProRes444 content "without a glitch." The extreme performance should reduce the time to completion on any storage-dependant workload, bringing about increased productivity, efficiency, and even power savings. OWC says the Accelsior 8M2 features support for RAID 0/1/4/5/1+0 (10) with Macs, as well as RAID 0/1 for Windows machines via SoftRAID. A plethora of software and firmware solutions were designed to work in tandem to guarantee the Accelsior performs volume validation, error correction, and disk checks. The OWC Accelsior 8M2 SSD is available now in capacities ranging from 0TB (where you add your own drives) starting at $799. Different storage densities have been announced at 2TB, 4TB, 8TB, 16TB, 32TB and 64TB, with prices starting at $1,299 for the 2TB model and reaching the aforementioned $12,999 for the 64TB model. OWC appears to use its own Aura P12 Pro M.2 drives on the various capacities it offers. Included with any purchase is a free, one-year license to Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office software suite. The Accelsior 8M2 SSD is covered by a five-years limited warranty.

Google Pixel 6 Pro debuted in October this year in limited markets with the company's proprietary Tensor SoC. The handset was recently put through a durability test by YouTube channel JerryRigEverything and it appears to have survived most of it. In the test, the latest Google smartphone is exposed to multiple scratches, and a bend test. The Pixel 6 Pro is also put through flames that it survives with little damage. Zack Nelson, on his YouTube channel JerryRigEverything, put the latest Pixel 6 Pro through a slew of durability tests. The six-minute test starts with the scratch test. The Mohs hardness scale test shows that the glass display of Pixel 6 Pro starts getting scratched at level 6 with deeper grooves at level 7. Watch the Pixel 6 Pro's durability test Nelson discovers that the smartphone has more metal and glass than the predecessor Google Pixel 5. The power button and volume rockers are made of a metal frame but the top edge of the handset is plastic. Although he did find that three of the four sides of the smartphone are plastic. In the scratch test, Nelson shows that the cameras of the Pixel 6 Pro are protected under glass, but the sides of the camera hump are made of plastic making it prone to scratches. In the burn test, Nelson puts the flame of a lighter directly to the LTPO OLED display that has Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The pixels then show a lava red colour and then black after about 15 seconds. The damage is not worth considering, and the phone does not lose its shape during or after the burn test. Scratches on the area over the in-display fingerprint reader of Pixel 6 Pro do not damage the fingerprint scanner. The phone is then subjected to a bend test in the final round. It is bent from the back and front and proves to be very resistant to it. On a whole, the Pixel 6 Pro passes the durability test and is declared to be “a solid phone”. To recall, the Pixel 6 Pro was unveiled in October this year in limited markets. The smartphone has a 6.7-inch QHD+ (1,440x3,120 pixels) LTPO OLED display that supports a variable refresh rate ranging from 10Hz to 120Hz. The handset features Google's Tensor SoC paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The Pixel 6 Pro has a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 48-megapixel telephoto shooter. The Pixel 6 Pro comes with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage options and packs a 5,003mAh battery that supports 30W wired fast charging and 23W wireless fast charging.

Millions of Windows users could lose access to their online cloud storage within weeks as Microsoft looks to encourage upgrading to the latest software. The tech giant has warned that the OneDrive app will stop syncing with Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 on March 1, 2022, meaning users only have a few weeks to upgrade to a newer version or possibly lose access to their files. Despite Windows 7 and 8 being initially released nearly a decade ago, the two operating systems still see millions of users, meaning many will need to get updating soon. OneDrive for Windows support "In order to focus resources on new technologies and operating systems, and to provide users with the most up-to-date and secure experience, beginning January 1, 2022, updates will no longer be provided for the OneDrive desktop application on your personal Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 devices," Microsoft's Ankita Kirti wrote in a blog post announcing the news. "Personal OneDrive desktop applications running on these operating systems will stop syncing to the cloud on March 1, 2022." The closure does not affect business users in the same way, with Microsoft saying that starting January 1, 2022, support for the OneDrive desktop application for business will be aligned with the Windows support lifecycle. Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 are in extended support until January 10, 2023, however Windows 8 reached end of support on January 12, 2016, meaning it no longer receives vital security updates that keep devices safe from the latest cyber threats. Microsoft says it advises upgrading your operating system to either Windows 10 or Windows 11 "to avoid disruption" - although it does note that many devices currently running Windows 7 or 8 may not fit the hardware system requirements for the latest software. To see if your PC is compatible with Windows 11 system requirements, you can check out our guide above. Looking to move your files to the cloud? Check out our roundup of the best cloud backup

There's a lot of technological ground to cover following today's announcements from AMD. Genoa and Bergamo, 3D V-Cache powered Milan-X, and the Instinct MI200 MCM (Multi-Chip Module) GPUs aside, there's one element that crucially stands at the crossroads of all of these technologies: AMD's Infinity Fabric, with its version 3.0 introduced today, has continued to evolve dramatically since AMD first introduced the new connectivity scheme in March 2020. In many ways, AMD's Infinity Fabric is an extension of AMD's dreams of Heterogeneous System Architecture (HSA) systems; it now powers intra- and inter-chip communication on AMD's CPU and GPU solutions. There's no singular technology that can be described as being the Infinity Architecture solution; the name aggregates several interconnect technologies employed on AMD's latest products, culminating in a coherent CPU + GPU technology that aims to improve system performance (and especially HPC performance) by leaps and bounds. Infinity Fabric 3.0 ushers in what AMD dreamed the future was with its "The Future is Fusion" marketing campaign from way back in 2008. It brings a coherent communications bus for interconnectivity and resource sharing between the company's CPU and GPU solutions, allowing for increased performance, lower latencies, and lower power consumption. The idea is simple: moving data is computationally expensive. Hence the Infinity Architecture is designed to reduce data movement between storage banks (whether it be VRAM, system RAM, or CPU cache) as much as possible. If every piece of the hardware puzzle is aware of what information lies where and can access it on an "as-needed" basis, big performance gains can be realized. AMD's Infinity Architecture 3.0 builds upon its Infinity Fabric technology in almost every conceivable way. The previous-generation Infinity Fabric architecture forced communication between CPU and GPU to be done (non-coherently) via the PCIe bus - which means that peak theoretical bandwidth would scale up to that link's limit (16 GT/s for PCIe 4.0), but no more. It also limited the maximum number of PCIe-interconnected GPUs in a dual-socket system to four graphics cards. The new Infinity Architecture, however, enables the entire communication to happen via the Infinity Fabric 3.0 link, meaning there is no PCIe non-coherent communication, though the link does have a fallback to PCIe if needed. Additionally, the Infinity Fabric is now used to enable an 400 GB/s bi-directional link between the two GPU die found in the MI250X, enabling the first productized multi-chip GPU. The new, improved Infinity Architecture actually allows for a coherent communication channel between not only a dual-socket Epyc CPU system but increases the maximum amount of simultaneous GPU connections from four to eight. The speed at which graphics cards talk to one another has also been greatly improved - the Infinity Architecture now allows for 100 GB/s bandwidth throughout each of its Infinity Fabric links, providing enough throughput to feed entire systems that can include up to two EPYC CPUs and eight GPU accelerators.
