Some signs can give us clues about whether the packaged food is spoiled The preserves are increasingly present in our day to day. Lack of time and our fast pace of life have made it common for many to turn to canned food. Vegetables, meat, fish, prepared dishes ... There are many foods that we can find packed in cans and jars. Food packaged in cans and cans is a fast, simple and economical way, and they also allow to be stored for long periods of time, hence the secret of its success. However, these types of foods can carry some risks if they are in bad condition. The problem is that due to their characteristics it is not easy to know if they have been damaged and, therefore, if they can make us feel bad. A food stored in a jar or a can has the ideal conditions to be kept in good condition for longer than a fresh food. The fact of being presented in hermetic and vacuum-sealed containers after undergoing a thermal process guarantees the destruction of microorganisms and possible pathogens. In addition, the quality controls to which all preserves are subjected minimize possible risks. However, sometimes these products can also go bad, due to possible errors in handling, transport or storage, for example. For this reason, it is important to know how to identify when a preserve is in poor condition. Although these are not infallible tricks, there are certain signs that can make us think that a preserve is not in its optimal condition. If so, avoid the risks and don't eat it. - When we open a bottle we should feel resistance in the container cap and hear the typical 'plof'. If not, it may be a sign that the product is bad. - We must also be very cautious if we observe that the liquid is cloudy - Do not eat food that is in a bulky container - Reject cans that show dings, dents, rust and, of course, perforations, as they may have compromised the integrity of the hermetic seal. - Beware of cans whose lid moves (making the typical 'click clack' noise - Do not trust a product that, when opened, releases a lot of air or liquid under pressure - Pay attention to your sight and smell. If the food of a food is suspicious to you, heal yourself and do not eat it. Nor if you notice that it smells bad or gives off a strange smell. - Be very careful with consuming a product in which we observe bubbles after being opened, as it can indicate the presence of bacteria. The same happens if we see foam. - It is normal to perceive a soft hiss when we open a can, but it is not so if this hiss is sharp and loud.

Although Porsche had long ago claimed that the Nürburgring times were not important data for them, they also do not resist those tests that, more than anything, serve as a marketing campaign. They recently announced that their new Porsche Panamera, which will be presented in a few weeks, has been rolling hard on the old Nordschleife. The test driver was Lars Kern, who completed a full lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife in just 7: 29.81 with the new Panamera. In theory it is the new record among the "large saloons" within the ranking of the Nürburgring GmbH and has been notarized. This record was achieved on July 24 at 1:49 p.m., when there was an ambient temperature of 22 degrees and 34 degrees on the asphalt. 13 seconds faster than before In 2016, Lars Kern already completed the lap of the circuit in a time of 7: 38.46 minutes at the wheel of a 550 hp Panamera Turbo; At that time, the test was carried out on the usual 20.6-kilometer route for record attempts, that is, without the 200-meter section of grandstand number 13. In accordance with the new statutes of the Nürburgring GmbH, time has now been measured over the entire distance of the Nordschleife section, 20,832 kilometers. According to the stopwatch, Lars Kern and the new Panamera passed the 20.6 km mark in 7: 25.04 minutes. Therefore, they have been about 13 seconds faster than in 2016. Completely standard, although with security measures By the way, the car used was fully standard except for the introduction of a safety cage and a racing seat to guarantee maximum driver safety in the event of an accident. Everything else was standard, although it had camouflage as the update for this model has not yet been revealed. The tires used were the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2, which are optional and developed specifically for this car. “The improvements made to the chassis and powertrain of the new Panamera were key to achieving this time in what is known as the most demanding circuit in the world. The new tuning of the electromechanical anti-roll system gives the Panamera incredible stability even in the most bumpy areas, ”declared pilot Lars Kern.

A study from the Ruhr University of Bochum in Germany showed that the SARS-CoV-2 virus could lose strength with the use of some commercially available mouthwashes. The efficacy of these products was verified with cell experiments performed by virologists. The study was published in the Journal of Infectious Diseases. According to the virologists, after the analysis, infected people can have significant viral loads in the mouth and throat, the use of these oral cleaning products could reduce it and with it the risk of contagion also falls. The experts mixed mouthwashes with different ingredients, available in pharmacies with particles of the virus. They shaken the mixture for 30 seconds to simulate the effect of gargling and then analyzed the cells to determine the concentration of the virus. "All the preparations tested reduced the initial concentration of the virus. Three mouthwashes reduced it to such an extent that no virus could be detected after an exposure time of 30 seconds," the experts explained. However, the scientists cautioned that these products should not be used to treat the virus. They should not be ingested either, as they only help reduce the viral load in the oral cavity.

Europe is very big, but compared to the rest of the continents it is a speck of dust. We could apply this same comparison to the variety of models that shape your automotive sector. Due to the idiosyncrasies of our countries, the models sold here are of moderate size and a specific profile. However, outside our borders there is so much variety that more than one fan should know it before it expires. Now that SUV's are so fashionable, I'm going to talk about the Toyota Sequoia. This mammoth all-road is for sale in the United States and certain countries in Asia and Africa. Seeing it on our roads would be unthinkable, among other things because it is based on another model that would not fit on them either: the Toyota Tundra. Both are mythical models for the Japanese firm and therefore they have decided to update it, although with certain restrictions. At a technical level, the Toyota Sequoia is based on the Tundra pickup For those of you who don't know, the current generation Toyota Sequoia has been around for thirteen years. Yes, the second iteration hit the world in 2007 and throughout this time it has remained at the top of the sales list without major changes. However, to prevent competition from stepping on the ground, those responsible for the brand have decided that it is time to update it, although contrary to what it might seem, there will be no third generation. Instead, for the 2021 model year they have opted to include a version called Nightshade Special Edition. To increase their exclusivity, they will dress their bodywork in the new Midnight Black, Magnetic Gray or Blizzard Pearl shades. Add to that the darkened chrome logos, fog lamp frames, lower grille and body moldings. Inside, we have a new black leather upholstery. The second modification comes from the hand of a new finish called TRD Pro. In its case, it enjoys the Lunar Rock tone although optionally you can also choose between Midnight Black, Magnetic Gray or Super White. And so far the changes, since the rest of the elements that make up the personality of the Sequoia do not vary one iota, including its generous cabin for 8 occupants. The commercial launch of the revamped Toyota Sequoia will take place in the coming weeks. To talk about the third generation, we will have to wait one or two years, as it is not expected to be presented until 2022 as a 2023 model. It will be necessary to see if the brand maintains its approach or if it mutates into a more refined and hybrid product. Time to time.

Consumption of unhealthy foods, such as processed meats and sugary drinks, has overtaken the consumption of healthy products, such as fruits and vegetables, in the last two decades in most parts of the world, according to a report published today (February 19, 2015) by the British journal The Lancet Global Health. An international team of researchers, led by Fumiaki Imamura, of the University of Cambridge (UK), conducted a study to assess the quality of the diet in 187 countries, with a po[CENSORED]tion of almost 4.5 billion adults. The authors of the research warn that the study presents a "worrying outlook" due to the increase in unhealthy eating habits and assure that a joint action is necessary to reverse this trend. People living in some of the richest regions of the world, such as the United States, Canada, and Australia, follow the poorest-quality diets due to their high consumption of unhealthy foods. Even so, the study reveals that, between the years 1990 and 2010, the quality of the diet has improved somewhat in the richest countries, with a modest reduction in the consumption of unhealthy foods and an increase in the consumption of healthy products. In contrast, some countries in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia, such as China and India, have not shown any improvement in the quality of their diet in the last twenty years. The group of researchers analyzed data on the consumption of 17 foods and key nutrients that are linked to obesity and the main non-communicable diseases, such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, as well as changes in people's diets during those Two decades. The study notes that low-wealth countries such as Mali, as well as Mediterranean regions such as Turkey and Greece, consume more healthy foods, "possibly reflecting favorable aspects of the Mediterranean diet," the report stresses. In contrast, some countries in central Europe and the republics of the former Soviet Union, such as Uzbekistan or Turkmenistan, consume less healthy food. The study showed that, in general, older people and women follow better diets, with healthier foods. "By 2020, projections indicate that non-communicable diseases will account for 75% of all deaths. So improving diet plays a crucial role in reducing this percentage," Imamura says in The Lancet Global Health. Furthermore, he added, "The results of this study have implications for governments and international organizations around the world. These trends indicate the need to understand different causes that lead to this situation, such as the practices of the agricultural and food industry, as well as health policy ". According to the study authors, political action "is essential" to help people achieve an optimal diet, control the obesity epidemic and reduce non-communicable diseases around the world.

The Covid-19 crisis has forced brands to modify their marketing and communication programs. One of the most striking, due to its activities, is the annual Easter Jeep Safari held in Moab, Utah (United States). With this event, the all-terrain firm of the FCA Group rewards the loyalty of its customers while offering succulent surprises. One of the ones I had in store for this year is the Jeep Gladiator Farout Concept. As its name suggests, we are not looking at a rebooted Wrangler, but a derivation of the Gladiator pickup. In fact, this prototype is the definitive version of the Gladiator Wayout that they presented last year at this same event. Moreover, unlike other concepts, this one could reach the assembly line and more so now that the competition is offering very attractive products. We tell you what this prototype hides ... Jeep Gladiator Farout Concept had to debut at Easter Jeep Safari Although we are still facing a prototype, the Jeep Gladiator Farout Concept is very faithful to the model from which it is derived. The main change in style that there is with respect to its brother in the range focuses on the cabin that they have arranged on the cargo bathtub. This mobile tent, which is how Jeep defines it, opens and closes in a few seconds and serves to provide shelter and accommodation for four people. There are no images of the interior, but the brand assures that it is clad in wood and has a sophisticated ambient light system. To facilitate life on board they have arranged several shelves, space for tables, integrated seats, a refrigerator or a camping kitchen. Already, in the space dedicated to driving we have seats upholstered in dark blue leather with contrasting stitching in orange tone and flannel inserts. On a technical level, the Jeep Gladiator Farout Concept uses the 3.0 V6 EcoDiesel block that the Wrangler already mounts. However, for this occasion they have introduced some improvements to increase performance. Thus, it offers a final power of 262 hp and 599 Nm of maximum torque. The force of the set reaches the ground through the four wheels, being managed by an 8-speed automatic transmission. The arrival of this version has yet to receive the green light, but everything indicates that it could be available at the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021. It will be necessary to see what is its reception and if the FCA Group is willing to take that risk.

Planning our diet well is essential to maintain balance on a day-to-day basis The coronavirus crisis has made our habits and activities change. Working and studying from home, getting fit in the classroom, communicating through video calls or eating homemade food every day are some of the guidelines that we carry out daily during confinement. Planning our tasks and our meals well is essential to maintain order and balance in our daily lives. Avoid buying more or less is something we must learn, especially in the face of the next Easter holidays. To make this planning easier for you, Unilever Spain has prepared a list of ten recommendations to reduce food waste in households. Through the 'Practical Guide to reduce Food Waste', prepared jointly with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, consumers will be able to enjoy this "essential tool at times like the present to avoid waste at this time of confinement ", says Ana Palencia, Director of Communication and Sustainability at Unilever Spain. Here are 10 tips to reduce food waste and thus have a most efficient pantry: 1. Organization: a trick to organize food in your pantry or fridge is to put first those products that expire earlier. Order helps to combat waste. 2. Freezer: surely many of the foods you are storing have a very short shelf life. Freeze them and thus prevent them from going bad. Making it in reusable transparent bags will help you be more respectful of the planet and know what you keep in the freezer. 3. Calendar: review your shopping list before going to the supermarket and design the menus for the next few weeks in advance. 4. Batch cooking: choose an afternoon and prepare all the lunches and dinners for the week. In this way you will take advantage of resources and considerably reduce the amount of leftovers that end up in the garbage. 5. Moderation: adjust the recipes to the number of diners and serve moderate portions. It is always better to repeat than to leave food on the plate. 6. Awareness: before going out to buy again, see if you can make a recipe with the food that you have left in the pantry. You will contribute to its use and, if you stay at home, you will contribute to not spreading the pandemic. 7. Pedagogy: these days many families are confined with children at home. Take advantage of this time to cook with them and let them learn the value and importance of food. 8. Reuse: if you have leftover food in the casserole, choose to reuse through new recipes. You can easily find creative ideas that will allow you to give a second life to food in an original and simple way. 9. Digitization: there are programs and applications to better monitor the products purchased. They are very useful when designing menus and preventing waste. 10. Recycled: you can keep going out to dump the trash, so you have no excuse. Recycle the containers of all the food and products you buy, while the confinement lasts and when it ends.

The official presentation of the long-awaited Lucid Air was scheduled for the last New York Auto Show. This event was supposed to take place last March, but the Coronavirus crisis forced those responsible to cancel it. That being the case, the creators of this electric sedan decided to take some time. In this way, they could calmly finalize all the details that were still pending in the project. However, it seems that they have already finished and have moved on to another phase of the plan. In this case, they want to scare their main rivals, because they are dealing with an issue that worries customers. We refer to the autonomy of its electrical system, since it is the main element that prevents use in all kinds of situations. For this, they have submitted their product for approval, obtaining an average consumption that Tesla itself would like. The Lucid Air will finally debut on September 9 According to the CEO of Lucid Motors, Peter Rawlinson, the average range approved by the Air is 517 miles. If we translate this number into kilometers we have a really high figure: 832. Apparently this data has been obtained using the EPA homologation method, the same one that Tesla uses to measure the range of its cars. In fact, if we take it for granted, it would leave the Model S behind by more than a hundred miles. To carry out the certification, they would have used a test bench from a third company. In this way, they state that there is no possible mani[CENSORED]tion or propaganda behind this announcement. However, this figure can only be possible thanks to two factors. On the one hand the capacity of the battery, which will range between 110 and 130 kWh. On the other, the very low coefficient of aerodynamic penetration that they have announced, standing at 0.21. It remains to be seen whether Tesla or Porsche allow Lucid Motors to rise to the throne of electrification. For now, the official presentation of Air is scheduled for next Wednesday, September 9. It will be then when we know all your technical data and price list. The success of the project depends, and a lot, on your fee, so those responsible will have to do very fine.

Salmon and dairy products may be the best food supplements given the lack of sun at this point in the quarantine due to their contribution of vitamin D, which is important at the immune level, according to nutritionist Susana Rodríguez Costa, from the Nutriciona group, creator of the ' Guide to feeding in confinement '. Vitamin D is mainly synthesized through the skin and is normally acquired thanks to the sun's rays. For this reason, he also recommends, whenever possible, open the sale and let the light shine on our face and arms for about twenty minutes a day. Rodríguez Costa, an expert in healthy eating, has offered a counseling session with the leisure and sports center of A Coruña Termaria Casa del Agua, through Instagram, in which he has shelled the 'Guide to food in confinement' with a series of guidelines to take care of the nutritional contribution and thus avoid that health suffers now that people are more sedentary. For this nutritionist, the composition of the food plate is essential and trying "to make it as colorful as possible": half should be vegetables; a quarter of healthy proteins, and the other quarter of quality carbohydrates, that is, root vegetables and whole grains. "We must add a lot of legumes, which sometimes we forget and it is advisable to do it three times a week," says the dietician about the protein part, in which she is committed to "avoid abusing red meat" and remembers that white meat is " all the birds and the rabbit, "not the pig, as they sometimes say. Her main slogan is always "avoid ultra-processed foods" and edibles that only provide sugar, and eat lots of fruits and vegetables, "much better seasonal and local." She also advocates planning the weekly menu and making a shopping list based on it to avoid acquiring unhealthy foods. In this sense, she recommends starting with legumes, then eggs and fish, better if they are blue, and covering the remaining days with meats. As for fruits, "it is very important to take three servings a day, which are not three pieces", since the typical serving is a golden apple and there are many smaller fruits. At lunchtime, she says, it is important to "set the table" and sit at it, avoiding a quick lunch on the couch watching TV, in order to "eat consciously." For those who cannot avoid sweets, Susana Rodríguez suggests healthy baking, which involves using whole wheat flour, changing butter for oil when possible and, above all, eliminating sugar, easily substituted by dates or bananas, which contribute to the desserts the same sweet taste. During confinement, she is alert, "emotional hunger" frequently arises, since being at home for so long a greater craving for sweet foods arises, which makes it necessary to learn to assess whether hunger is real or not. In summary, the fundamental thing to face the rest of the confinement, concludes the expert, is to stay active and establish "a routine that helps us organize ourselves to do everything we want and rest better without modifying sleep patterns."

Let's see, all those parents who have ever dreamed of having a sports relative raise their hands? I do not know if there will be many or few, or if SUV fashion has sucked their brains, but who has not fantasized about having a BMW M3 Touring? Until now this possibility was impossible to fulfill, since Bayerische only offered this version of its medium saloon with a four-door body. However, it seems that things have been thought better ... Let's be honest, the family bodies are not the most demanded in the market, although they offer a level of versatility much higher than that of saloons. However, something is changing as the brand's marketing team has listened to the requests that thousands of fans make when they launch a new M3. Yes, because a BMW M3 Touring is on the way and it has been the M division itself who has confirmed this fact with this teaser. The BMW M3 Touring could debut in September The snapshot has been released through their social networks and web portal. The comment that accompanies it is very eloquent and if we transfer it to the wise Spanish proverb it comes to say that "never say this water you will not drink" or "never say never". However, what we can see in this teaser is little, although enough to know that we are facing the Touring body of the 3 Series. The most striking thing about it are the optical groups, which maintain the same format as the familiar one. Under it there is a bumper with a subtle design that in its lower area boasts a large diffuser. This element is finished in glossy black and also houses two double exhaust outlets at its end. The shadows hide the rest of its design, although you don't have to be a lynx to understand that it will maintain a high resemblance to the M3 Sedan. A balanced diet, avoiding sugars and carbohydrates and with lots of fruit and vegetables strengthens the immune system and helps to cope with confinement Among the many ways to prevent and protect yourself from the contagion of Covid-19 is nutrition and a balanced diet. This is highlighted by the pharmacist and nutritionist Gloria Carrasco, from the La Pola de Gordón Pharmacy, who points out the important benefits of eating well and leading a healthy life to strengthen the defenses. "Like good hygiene, nutrition is very important at this time", explains Gloria Carrasco, who highlights that a balanced and healthy diet strengthens the immune system: "The body must be prepared to fight the virus if it manages to enter" . Therefore, having healthy habits, especially at meal times and being 'strong-willed' to control snacking between meals will be key aspects. The recommendation is to avoid ready-made foods and prepare natural dishes. Carrasco highlights the great value of fruits and vegetables, in addition to legumes, to prepare the menu for these days of confinement. "Now we have more free time because of the quarantine and there are far fewer excuses to cook well and cook dishes with natural foods." The nutritionist highlights the power of fruit and vitamin C, but stresses that the intake of meat, fish and eggs should not be neglected. Vegetables and fruit should be two common items on the menus and he recommends that legumes appear on them twice a week. With so much time at home and, sometimes, boredom lurking, it is common to peck between meals. Gloria Carrasco recommends, for this, to have already cut fruit to turn to right now or to satisfy this hunger with pickles, such as olives, pickles and pickled chives. It is also a great time, she assures, to try the infusions, a drink "that satisfies, hydrates and is diuretic." This quality is shared with vegetable broths, a good option to avoid gorging on meals or dinners. In addition, Gloria Carrasco highlights the great value of sport and physical activity these days. “We must make a hole every day to move the body, something that will also be good for the head. It is advisable to develop a routine and leave a space to do some exercise. For older people, for example, it is recommended to walk down the hall or go up and down stairs, "she says. Healthy living and nutrition, always important, take on even more relevance with the threat of the coronavirus, since it is a time when the defenses of the human body must be in full swing.

The Skoda Enyaq iV will be a turning point for the Czech firm. Having the help of the Volkswagen Group has allowed them to launch an electric vehicle with a high technological level. In addition, it is positioned in a segment that seems not to touch the ceiling, that of mid-size SUVs. However, its official debut is getting closer and closer and so that we do not lose interest, the brand does not stop publishing sketches and teasers. The last time we talked about the Skoda Enyaq iV was a few weeks ago. At that time the house of Mladá Boleslav published a sketch with which he discovered the design that his dashboard will have. But in addition, they officially confirmed the day chosen to carry out the presentation event. Now, that we are less than a month away, they return to the load releasing new and succulent material. If you like it, be very attentive, because it promises ... The official debut of the Skoda Enyaq iV will take place on September 1 So far, the exterior design of the Skoda Enyaq iV has been one of the best kept. There are thousands of spy images of him, but it seems that they have not clearly captured what his appearance will be like. This situation has been revealed when we compare the clandestine photos with the sketches that the brand has just published. It is then that we realize that your image will be more dynamic than it initially appeared. If we take a look at the front, we see very ragged headlights that include LED technology. They flank the typical Skoda grill, although in this case it is faired since the powertrain does not need extra cooling. The format of the bumper is very aggressive, being made up of angular and expressive lines. As for the side, we can see very marked lines that go from the front to the rear wheel arch. As a curiosity, under the "A" pillar we have the "Founder’s Edition" emblem that will surely serve as a special launch edition limited to 1,895 units to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the brand. The alloy wheels are oversized and will not make it into production. Neither are the door handles, which obviously will be present. Finally, we should take a look at the rear, because there is a little surprise. If we observe the drop in the roof line, the shape of the «D» pillar and the folds of the gate, which model does it remind you of? Indeed, saving the distances it looks a lot like the Seat Tarraco. This feeling is heightened when we look at the headlights and the "Skoda" lettering in between. However, the similarity to the new Octavia is also evident, especially by the simplicity of the rear bumper. All in all, there is less left for it to debut, that's how you prepare because some leak may ruin everything.

This food has only 25 calories, is high in fiber, and makes for many different recipes It has a high fiber content, 25 calories per 100 grams, a very complete nutritional profile since it provides many vitamins to the body and, in addition, it is a great source of antioxidants that protect against diseases. All these beneficial health properties are attributed to cauliflower, considered a superfood as it belongs to the "grassicacae" family (cabbage, cabbage, collard greens, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and romanesco). In weight loss diets, cauliflower is a good ally for several reasons. On the one hand, it is a very satiating food that, in addition, has a high fiber content that favors intestinal transit. On the other hand, it has a high water content (almost 92%), something very important in weight loss diets. The last of the reasons why cauliflower is a good ally for weight loss is its versatility for cooking. It is a perfect substitute for other more caloric foods such as rice or flour. One of the best-known recipes is "colirroz": shredded cauliflower that works like rice. But it can also be used to make cauliflower couscous, a pizza crust, or a lasagna. Cancer prevention To this day, cauliflower is considered one of the best protectors against colon or prostate cancer. Like other vegetables in the same family, cauliflower is high in glucosinolates and isothiocyanates, two antioxidants that may help stop the growth of cancer cells. Its consumption is also related to the reduction of the risk of suffering coronary diseases. In addition, it prevents intestinal diseases such as diarrhea or inflammation of the intestine.

For a premium firm to be considered as such, it must have sports versions in its catalog. At Audi we have the RS range, at BMW we have the M department and at Maserati we have the Trofeo family. The house of the trident knows that to improve its situation in the market it must give customers what they demand. Thus, to a very exclusive image we must add a heart so furious and powerful that it makes all its rivals tremble with fear. Until now, the Maserati Trofeo range was made up of the Levante. However, taking into account the sales success they have achieved in the SUV, those responsible for the FCA Group have decided to expand it to the rest of the models. We talked about this a few days ago, when the brand published a teaser where we could see the Ghibli and Quattroporte together with Levante himself. Now we are going to tell you its secrets, because you will like them ... For Maserati the Trofeo range is the maximum: in sporty details On an aesthetic level, the Maserati Trofeo family maintains its essence: sportiness. The basic design lines are not altered, but they receive new aesthetic additions that emphasize their new role in the range. For their part, the Ghibli and Quattroporte receive red accents that emphasize their dynamism. The rear light clusters have been revised, taking inspiration from those used on the Alfieri Concept and 3200 GT. To this must be added a lower carbon fiber grill and splitter. Nor can we pass another racing detail ahead: the 21-inch Orion alloy wheels. On an individual basis, the Ghibli incorporates a bonnet with two air vents that help improve engine cooling. Finally, and for all three models, we have triple air vents on the side, the trident logo with the lightning bolt on the "C" pillar and lots of carbon fiber. Finally, we will refer to the aesthetic changes assumed by the Levante Trofeo. In this case, to the set of accessories shared with its brothers we must add a redesigned hood with two air vents. Orione alloy wheels are new too, boasting 22 inches. As a culmination, the FCA Group wanted to pay tribute to its homeland by dressing its Trofeo range in the colors of its official flag. Changes also come inside, especially in materials and connectivity The interior of the Maserati Trofeo range follows a different path from the exterior, leaving extreme sportsmanship aside. For this purpose, the firm's design team has chosen to create a sober and high-quality cabin. Thus, without varying one iota the dashboards of the Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante, have included noble materials such as Pieno Fiore leather. We also have embossed carbon fiber to engrave the "Trophy" logo. When starting, the instrument cluster shows a new image, the same one that has been engraved on the headrests. Connectivity also improves, including the Maserati Connect program as standard. The Quattroporte and Ghibli have a 10.1-inch touch screen that, like the Levante, sports renewed graphics. Regarding the equipment possibilities, the Active Driving Assist system or the Sport Corsa mode appears. Ferrari heart of origin: they keep the 3.8-liter V8 Twin Turbo If you liked the Maserati Trofeo range, the most "sweet tooth" is under its hood. Until now, the Levante Trofeo was fitted with an original Ferrari block with 3.8-liter displacement and eight V-cylinders. Well, everyone assumed that the renewal of the range would bring with it the inclusion of a new powertrain. Nothing is further from the truth: the FCA Group has allowed them to keep the same block, although improved. Therefore, the heart of the Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante Trofeo is Ferrari's 3.8-liter V8 Twin Turbo. In this case, the power is increased to 580 hp and 730 Nm of maximum torque. For its management, the engineers of the Italian house have relied on an automatic transmission by torque converter ZF with 8 relations. Thanks to this set, the benefits of these three "sports" are heart attack. Thus, the Ghibli and Quattroporte sign a maximum speed of 326 kilometers per hour. In this way, they become the fastest sedans in the entire history of the Italian manufacturer. For its part, the Levante has to settle for 302 kilometers per hour, not a negligible figure for an SUV that weighs 2,170 kilos when empty. There is also no lack of Q4 traction in the Levante or self-locking differentials for the saloons.

A single strand is used to show if a person prefers a veggie or bacon burger Researchers at the University of Utah, in the United States, have found that stable hair isotopes reveal a divergence in diet according to socioeconomic status, which is a way to assess a community's diet and its risks for health, according to the authors in the journal 'Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences'. Millimeter by millimeter, hair builds a record of your diet. Since hair strands are made of amino acids that come from food, they retain the chemical traces of protein in that food. It's a strong enough register to show whether veggie burgers or double bacon cheeseburgers are preferred. A study led by researchers at the University of Utah finds that this record reveals a divergence in diet according to socioeconomic status, with areas of lower SES showing higher proportions of protein from animals fed corn. It is a way, the authors write, of assessing a community's diet and its health risks. "This information can be used to quantify dietary trends in ways that surveys cannot capture," says Professor Jim Ehleringer, University of Utah College of Biological Sciences. "We would like to see the health community begin to assess dietary patterns using capillary isotope surveys, especially in different economic groups within the United States. " Beginning in the 1990s, Ehleringer, Professors Denise Dearing, and Thure Cerling, and their colleagues began to analyze the ways in which traces of mammalian diets could be reflected in hair. Different food sources have different ratios of stable isotopes, or atoms of the same element with slightly different weights. As food breaks down into amino acids, the isotopes in food, including carbon and nitrogen, reach all parts of the body, including hair. Water, which varies in its oxygen and isotope ratios depending on geography, works in the same way. So in 2008, Ehleringer, Cerling and their colleagues published results showing that the isotopic composition of hair could track a person's travels, by virtue of the isotopes in the water they drink. "Then we started to consider what we could learn from the carbon and nitrogen isotopes in hair," Ehleringer recalls. For cattle raised in concentrated animal feeding operations, the corn they eat is incorporated into their tissues. Corn belongs to a group of plants called C 4 plants, which include sugar cane, and photosynthesis is different from C 3 plants, a group that includes legumes and vegetables. So if you eat animal proteins that ate corn, the amino acids that make up your hair will have more isotope ratios like corn. If your protein comes from more plant or animal sources that ate C 3 plants, your hair will have an isotopic signature more similar to C 3 plants. Those are the principles of hair isotope analysis, but this study is about the applications, and for that they needed some hair samples. To collect them they went to hairdressers and beauty salons in 65 cities in the United States. They also collected samples from 29 zip codes in the Salt Lake Valley to intensively study a single urban area. The barbers and salon owners were supportive, Ehleringer says. "Then they let us go to the dump and pull out a handful or two of hair, which we then sort into identifiable groups that represent people." This sampling technique was blind, it adds, to the age, sex, income, the state of health of the individual or any other factor, except the isotope record. In total, they collected samples representing nearly 700 people. Results showed variations in capillary isotope ratios, both locally and nationally, but within a relatively narrow range. Within this variation they found that the carbon isotope values were correlated with the cost of living in the zip codes where the samples were collected. Previous studies provided the expected isotope values from the ends of the diet spectrum, from vegan to carnivore. The samples collected from the Salt Lake Valley offered an opportunity to examine in greater detail the factors behind isotope variation. Surprisingly, the carbon isotopes of the hair correlate with the price of the haircut at the sampling site. "We had not imagined that it would be possible to estimate the average price that an individual had paid for their haircut by knowing the carbon isotope values," the authors write. With an eye to diet, the authors found that corn-like isotope signatures predominated among areas of lower socioeconomic status, and that the predominantly meat eaters in the samples obtained their protein from corn-fed animals. And they took it a step further when, using driver's license data to calculate trends in body mass index for particular zip codes, the authors found that isotope ratios also correlated with obesity rates. This, they write, makes potential connections between diet, socioeconomic status and health. Capillary isotope analysis, Ehleringer says, can be a tool for assessing a community's health risks. "This measure is not biased by personal memories, or erroneous memories, which would be reflected in dietary surveys - he highlights -. As a long-term integrated measure of an individual's diet, the measurement can be used to understand the dietary options between different age groups and different socioeconomic groups ".

The first time we heard the word IONIQ was four years ago. At that moment, Hyundai surprised everyone with the launch of a model that put the all-powerful Toyota Prius on the ropes. We refer, of course, to the Hyundai IONIQ, the only model in the world that using the same platform allows you to choose between three different types of electrification: total, hybrid or plug-in hybrid. For those who do not know, the name IONIQ comes from the union of the words "ion" and "unique". But in addition, it also calls an ambitious long-term research and development project focused on ecological mobility. But beware, Hyundai does not settle for it as it announces that it will offer customer-centric experiences that will be based on a connected lifestyle. We tell you what this is all about ... Hyundai's strategy with IONIQ is the same as Audi with e-tron First, clarify that INOIQ is not the first sub-brand that Hyundai launches on the market. In 2015 they did the same with Genesis, their premium alter ego. Now, to shape this brand, they have created a new platform that they have called E-GMP (Global Electric Modular Platform). On it, they will create a range of models that, initially, will be made up of the following members. The IONIQ 5 will be the first to hit the market and it will do so in early 2021. We already know this model, although in its final version it will change the approach. We are talking about the Hyundai 45 Concept, which when it reaches the assembly line will do so in CUV format. The second will be called the IONIQ 6 and should be ready in 2020. Its body will take the form of a stylish saloon that, as expected, will base its physiognomy on the Prophecy. And finally, we must talk about the third member of this new firm. The IONIQ 7 is scheduled for 2024 and will take the form of a large mid-size SUV. As a curiosity, the way to call their models has a reason. The odd numbers are used for compact type cars or saloons and instead, the odd numbers to differentiate the SUV's. In addition, it maintains the scheme of premium firms such as the "i" of BMW. At a technical level we do not have much data. Beyond the name of the platform, we know that they will offer a fast charge and a wide autonomy. To debut IONIQ, the firm has held an event at the London Eye. They have taken the English Ferris wheel to form the letter "Q" using sets of lights. However, we will have to wait for news, although this brand sounds very attractive and dangerous for its rivals.

The action is part of the Nutritional Care Plan of the residential centers of the Generalitat The Vice Presidency and Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies has launched one more year the supervision and collaboration in the elaboration of the menus of the residential centers for elderly people in a situation of dependency "with nutritional recommendations to avoid risks derived from the summer heat", as pointed out by the general director of the Elderly, Mercedes Santiago. This year, due to the state of confinement decreed by the covid-19 pandemic, some effects related to the nutritional situation of users have been observed in residential centers due, on the one hand, to a loss of appetite due to the emotional impact of the crisis and, on the other hand, due to the lack of physical activity, which has been able to generate a loss of muscle mass. The general director of the Elderly has explained that for this reason, special emphasis is placed on the need to minimize these nutritional risks for residents derived from the situation in recent months, "with nutritional assessments that are carried out individually in each center and that allow to carry out the appropriate action measures ". Thus, the general director explained that this initiative "is part of the Nutritional Care Plan that is integrated into the Department's Pharmaceutical Care Program", by which the team of dietitians-nutritionists "reviews and adapts" the menus proposed for the summer for each of the 39 residential centers owned by the Generalitat, in order to guarantee that the food offered is of the highest nutritional and organoleptic quality "to promote the correct intake of food by residents and achieve thus a satisfactory nutritional state ". In this way, for the elaboration of the menus, various factors are taken into account depending on the geographical area and the local gastronomy of the town where the center is located, in addition to the user profile, among others, with a great emphasis on hydration of elderly residents. Due to the high temperatures registered in recent days, the Department has included in this nutritional plan a series of recommendations to combat dehydration, among which the most important is to increase the daily water intake, making it easier to make it available through jugs or dispensers in places. easy access for residents. In addition, for those at higher risk, the use of labeled and individualized water bottles is suggested. Also increase liquid foods and have isotonic drinks, increase the consumption of fruits and vegetables, avoid too large meals and situations that can promote dehydration, as well as the residents will administer liquids at the appropriate temperature, without being excessively cold, periodic mode and distributed throughout the day, also reinforcing the mid-morning, snack and dinner feedings

When we learned that a Mazda 3 Turbo was on the way we could not believe it. Some time ago, the firm gave up developing any sports version to focus on the future of the sector: electrification. However, wasting the work developed was a crime and for this reason in this fourth generation they have taken a step back. However, we are not facing a hot hatch to use, because by its own idiosyncrasy it is a very special product. So much so that its 2.5 Turbo SkyActiv-G engine varies performance depending on fuel. Be that as it may, the Mazda 3 Turbo was designed to make us cry. Let me explain: its sale will not reach Europe, limiting itself to the US and other areas of the globe. However, now that it is launched in North America and we see its prices we can only beg one thing: "Gentlemen of Mazda Europe, you could not bring even a handful of units." Mazda 3 Turbo is so exotic it needs no introduction We already talked to you about the technical characteristics and design of the Mazda 3 Turbo a while ago. Now we want to tell you how the Hiroshima house has articulated the offer that will be available in the United States. As expected, this version will be on sale with the two bodies that make up the range. In this way, in addition to standing up to the Golf GTI and CIA, it will also be able to put the BMW 3 Series on the ropes, among others. Regarding the equipment possibilities, the Turbo version is positioned as the most complete. In addition, the «3» Turbo has the possibility of including two optional packs. First of all, there is the Premium Plus Pack, which among other elements includes 18-inch BBS alloy wheels. The second option goes through the Aero Kit that provides specific bumpers and a spoiler for the sportier roof. Official prices for the USA Considering the positioning of the Mazda 3 Turbo, we might think that its rate would be high. Well, we are sorry to be against you. The cheapest version starts at $ 29,000, that is, for just over 25 thousand euros we could buy it in Europe. With this price we could only access a basic Golf and let's not talk about the equipment that we would have to include to match them. Therefore, we ask again and beg for it: "Gentlemen of Mazda Europe, please, think about it that even selling the" 3 "Turbo in the Old Continent is a good idea". Of course with US prices, because we know that if it arrives here it will not fall below 35 thousand euros. A pity that it is so.

During this period, it has gone from spending 8,600 million euros in 2019 to 11,100 million The consumption of flour was multiplied by four. EFE Spending by Spaniards on food to consume at home grew by around 30% during the first weeks of restrictions as a result of the pandemic, reaching 11,100 million euros. This was announced this Thursday by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, during his speech in the Congress of Deputies, in which he provided data on the seven weeks elapsed between March 9 and April 26. Planas explained that spending in this period has gone from 8,600 million euros in 2019 to 11,100 million this year, an increase of 2,500 million euros linked to the closure of the hospitality industry and a transfer of part of the consumption that was made in bars and restaurants to the home. In volume, the increase has been around 20%, since the Spanish bought 4.5 million tons of food and beverages, one million more than in the same seven weeks of the previous year. Planas has described these increases as "quite remarkable" and recalled that, both in the week before the state of alarm was decreed (March 14) and in the following days, it was detected that consumers made massive purchases aimed at filling the pantry in fear of a shortage. The minister has pointed out that in those first moments, households accumulated basic products such as pasta, rice and oil, and once it was verified that supermarkets maintained the supply normally, they already changed their consumption patterns. In fact, since then there has been a greater commitment to fresh products, and especially the fruit and vegetable category. As a curious fact, the Minister of Agriculture has highlighted that the consumption of flour has multiplied by four in these weeks, reflecting the greater interest in cooking at home and in baking.
