Publisher Bandai Namco confirmed that the Bardock - Alone Against Fate DLC will launch on January 13th, the same daye the game launches on current generation consoles. As already mentioned, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a solid retelling of the DBZ saga, although the side content feels lacking compared to the main story quests, as we highlighted in our review back in 2020. The Dragon Ball fan in me loves Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, but the game fan in me was getting tired very fast. Those cool setpieces and cutscenes kept me playing the game to see more, but too much in between those moments to spoil things. It becomes overlong, tedious, and repetitive. But simultaneously, it is wonderful for fans. I wouldn't torment myself by forcing through to 100% completion, but many other fans like me will feel compelled to at least finish the main story. Paris - Attracted by the bright red, blue, and yellow hamsa hands hanging outside 76 Charonne street in Paris, and hungry stomachs, customers step into the Moroccan restaurant “1000&1 Signes” unaware of how unique the restaurant is. Confused at first by the quiet smiles of the staff, clients started to look around and find drawings on the wall that had illustrations for certain phrases and words in French Sign Language (FSL). The customers browse the menu, and everything becomes clear: 1000&1 Signes is a Moroccan restaurant run by a team of all-deaf staff. The restaurant owner, Sid Nouar, is the first deaf person to open a restaurant in France. He founded 1000&1 Signes with three specific goals: offering jobs to deaf people, educating hearing people about the FSL, and building a bridge between the deaf and hearing communities. “My restaurant is another form of activism, another form of raising awareness,” Nouar told MWN. Nouar decided to take action after witnessing all the difficulties deaf people face in finding jobs. A 2014 French official study showed that almost 40% of people with hearing limitations ranging from severe to total functional are unemployed. “There is a lot of discrimination, prejudice, apprehension, and lack of awareness among companies,” according to human resources manager of the restaurant, Sophie Afonso. Nouar is a former teacher who graduated in educational sciences, but cooking has always been his passion. He grew up with his dad working in a restaurant and his mother a talented cook who instilled his love of Moroccan food. Nour attended entrepreneurship training and then opened his first restaurant in 2011, where his mother worked with him to teach Moroccan recipes to the deaf staff. The restaurant owner remembers how difficult it was to recruit because a lot of deaf people did not have any knowledge about Moroccan cuisine. Since April 2021 the restaurant has been recognized as an “adapted business,” according to a French official label facilitating the recruitment of deaf workers. The building of Nouar’s first restaurant was too small to handle its success. Nouar decided to look for other premises with more space and found one in his neighborhood in the 11th district of Paris. The restaurant 1000&1 Signes offers various dishes from couscous to Moroccan briwat. When it comes to ordering, clients can either sign the name of the dish, which is illustrated next to each meal entry on the menu in FSL or point out what they would like to eat. Clients with hearing impairments are carefully considered to make them feel at ease, even though Nouar estimates that 85% of their customers can hear. A few rules are explained on how to communicate with someone who is deaf on the back of the menu, and whiteboards are available for anyone who would have a specific demand to write. Two regular customers, who are both hearing persons, said that they enjoy the staff's company and the quality of the food. While sipping a mint tea or tasting a gazelle horn, people can observe the chef Rhyan Pajo cooking behind the open kitchen or the waitress Annabelle Lecavalier welcoming the pleasantly surprised newcomers into the restaurant. The warm environment set up by the staff creates a place where people want to communicate while gathering around delicious Moroccan food. Rabat - Morocco saw the creation of exactly 77,322 in the first 10 months of 2022, according to data from the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC). 52,968 of the new businesses are registered as legal entities, while 24,354 are self-employed, says OMPIC in a general overview. The growth in the number of businesses in Morocco is especially prominent in the trade sector. Overall, 36.42% of new companies are registered as trade companies, followed by construction and public works (BTP) and real estate activities (17.72%). Morocco’s industrial sector contributed 7.12%, while hotels and restaurants had a share of 6.46% of newly created businesses. Information technology and communication represent 2.59% of new businesses, 2.22% in agriculture and fisheries, and 1.10% in the financial sector. Regarding the legal status of new businesses, OMPIC specifies that 62% of new companies are registered as limited liability companies with a single shareholder (SARL-AU), while 37.6% of companies are limited liability companies SARL. Whereas, 0.3% are listed as joint stock companies (SA) and 0.1% as general partnerships (SNC). The report further details that over 21,000 newly created businesses are based in the Casablanca-Settat region, followed by Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima with more than 10,000, Rabat-Sale-Kenitra with more than 10,000, Marrakech-Safi with over 7,000 and Fez-Meknes with nearly 6,000 new businesses. We get it. You think if you scrape a porthole in the mass of snow on your car's windshield, you think you'll be able to reach your destination safely. Maybe you will, maybe you won't. But people can be killed if you decide to take that chance. There are laws on the books in some states requiring drivers to keep the snow off their car windows and roof, but even in places without such rules, police can still issue unsafe driving tickets or something similar. There are at least two states with laws named after someone who was killed in a crash caused by falling ice. Don't be the driver who sets another such chain of events in motion. We've said it before, and we'll say it again, don't drive with too much snow covering your car. Perhaps you remember the New Hampshire driver who got the Internet's attention two years ago when they were charged with vehicular assault, reckless conduct, and negligent driving for the unusual situation where snow and ice flew off the roof of the box truck they were driving that injured the driver of the following car when it broke their windshield. This past week, another driver was ticketed for unsafe winter driving in Washington State. No one was injured this time, according to the, but a driver did because their windshield was almost completely covered in snow. The picture posted by a State Patrol trooper (above) shows the driver didn't seem to try very hard to clear more than a periscope view through the snow. The person apparently drove more than five miles with this limited view, which got the police involved. As you can see, driving in the winter without cleaning any snow from your vehicle can have negative effects, either on your wallet or on nearby people. While only a handful of states have actual laws against driving without clearing off ice and snow, you can still be stopped in other states if law enforcement believes that the white stuff preventing you from seeing where you're going falls into. One of the strictest state snow removal laws is in effect in New Hampshire. Known as Jessica's Law after the woman (Jessica Smith) who was killed when falling ice caused a multi-vehicle crash, this 2001 law charges first-time offenders with a minimum fine of at least $250. The second offense comes with a potential $1000 fine, and after that—for whatever kind of driver needs a third strike here—a driver may face points on their license or a short-term loss of license. A Pennsylvania law, known as Christine's Law, for a similar unfortunate case of yet another innocent road user who was killed by ice falling from another vehicle, took effect earlier this year. This new law requires drivers to clean snow and ice off their vehicles at least 24 hours after heavy snowfall. Fines start at $50 (but can reach $1500). Given the repeated deaths from people not scraping their cars clean in the winter, it's obvious people need help keeping themselves and others safe. Rabat - Even though Portugal are favorites to win against Morocco’s national football team in the Qatar World Cup’s quarter-finals on Saturday, hopes are high among Moroccan fans for the Atlas Lions to take the lead. After all, this has been the case since the beginning of the global tournament, as the Atlas Lions managed to defy all odds and beat some of the World Cup’s most popular teams. While predictions suggested that Morocco would not make it past the tournament’s group stage, the North African squad managed to lead Group F and send pre-match favorites Belgium and Canada back home. Moroccan coach Walid Regragui and his men defeated 2-0 Belgium, which is FIFA’s second-best team in the world, and Canada 2-1. Rabat - The Finance and Economic Development Committee of Morocco’s House of Representatives approved on Thursday the 2023 Finance Bill in a second reading, with 23 members voting for and six voting against. The vote concerned several modifications that had been applied to the bill by the House of Councillors, including an increase in the budget dedicated to transparency and anti-bribery programs. The new finance bill also exempts newly-founded companies from income tax until the end of 2026. Individuals working for companies that were created between January 2015 and December 2022 could also benefit from tax exemptions for up to 24 months. The 2023 Finance Bill also aims to address Morocco’s national healthcare system, boosting the economy by encouraging investment, and putting in place better tax collection. Notably, the bill also tries to reduce socio-economic disparities in the country, raising the budget for education by around 10%. The Ford GT Mk IV is the final special edition of the third-generation Ford halo car. Sixty-seven hand-built models of this track-only GT will be produced. Only approved clients will be allowed to hand over the $1.7 million starting price, with Ford planning to make buyer selections in the first quarter of 2023 and deliveries in the late spring. The Mk IV features a longer wheelbase, a racing gearbox, a redesigned body, and a larger-displacement engine targeting more than 800 horsepower. The Ford GT Mk IV is the last special-edition GT in a year with seemingly no end to the number of special-edition and send-off Ford GTs. Way back in August 2021, Ford came out with a 1964 prototype-themed livery to honor the GT's final year of production. Then in February 2022 Ford paid tribute to the Mk I prototypes of the '60s with a special red, white, and gold model. Next came a Holman Moody Edition celebrating Ford's historic 1-2-3 finish at Le Mans in 1966. As recently as October, Ford released its racing-inspired LM send-off version of the GT as a nod to the class-winning 2016 car. The special edition announced today looks wild enough to make each and every one of the earlier GTs look almost as mundane as the squadron of Camrys you passed on your way home from work yesterday. Unlike the rest of the special-edition send-offs, the Mk IV is a track-only car that gets dedicated upgrades on top of visual alterations. Ford increased the displacement of the twin-turbocharged V-6 engine and is now targeting more than 800 horsepower compared to the standard GT's 660 hp. The seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission from the standard car has been replaced with what Ford described as a "proper racing gearbox." The original suspension has been replaced with Multimatic's Adaptive Spool Valve (ASV) suspension. As a track car, standard road siped tires aren't really necessary and look to have been replaced by a set of Michelin Pilot Sport racing slicks wrapped around center-locking wheels. The wheelbase has been stretched and fitted with a "longtail" carbon-fiber body; in fact, the carbon body has been completely reworked for the Mk IV. All aero elements appear to have been dialed to 11, with a massive front splitter and a set of canards protruding off the front end. At the back, a giant wing is mounted in a fixed position. The full extent of aerodynamic changes isn't clear, but judging by the photos, those changes are extremely performance focused. The bulky headlights necessary for roadgoing GTs have been replaced by minimalistic beams that look to simply cut through the carbon body. The two channels which would so famously normally take up the hood of the car have been replaced by four overlapping vents, a change that drastically alters the look of the front end.The Mk IV gets its name from the 1967 Le Mans-winning GT Mk IV race car, which remains the only American-built and American-operated car to win Le Mans outright. Piloted by Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt, the Mk IV took the lead in the first 90 minutes of the race, building a four-lap lead by the end of the 24 hours. For that reason, Ford is only producing 67 hand-built examples of the Mk IV. Prospective customers will need to apply directly to Ford, and only approved clients will be allowed to purchase the extremely limited car. Rabat - The 54-year-old Canadian famous singer Celine Dion has released a solemn and emotional video on Instagram, explaining her debilitating ultra-rare stiff person syndrome diagnosis. The singer, best known for her 1997 hit My heart will go on among many other famous songs, looked riddled with sadness as she tried to stay composed throughout the video. Appearing frail yet elegant she opened with “Hello everyone, I’m so sorry it has taken me so long to reach out to you, I miss you all so much.” Later in the video, she prided herself on being an “open-book” and mentioned she now feels ready to talk about her diagnosis after a painful moment of hesitation and soul searching. “I have been dealing with health problems for a long time…I have been diagnosed with a disease that affects around 1 in a million people… called stiff person’s disease.” Of her symptoms, the singer said she has been dealing with spasms that affect her ability to walk and stop her from using her vocal cords in the way she used to. “Unfortunately these spasms affect my daily life,” Dion commented in a voice filled with pain. One of the singer's motives behind her public explanation of her medical condition was to justify the postponement of her 2023 Europe tour. “It hurts me to tell you that I will not be ready for my tour,” she sighed. The Canadian icon explained that while she always wants to give 100% at her shows, her condition is not allowing her to do so. She said she is choosing to concentrate on her health, remaining hopeful that she will recover . Stiff person syndrome (SPS) particularly affects the brain and spinal cord. The symptoms include spasms that are so forceful they can cause bone fractures. This syndrome is incredibly rare although it is more common in women, who have double the risk of contracting the syndrome than men. One of the most accurate and influential NVIDIA leakers, @kopite7kimi has leaked the specifications of NVIDIA's upcoming GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card. Kopite was the first to leak the existence and specifications of pretty much all NVIDIA GPU families in recent years so we have very little doubt that this leak is accurate as well. We not only have the CUDA core counts with us but a lot of other details as well - so let's dig in. NVIDIA RTX 4070 GPU will rock 5888 CUDA cores for an estimated 30.7 FP32 TFLOPs, making it 76% as fast as its bigger brother The RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4070 are based on the AD104 GPU and the 4070 will be the binned variant of the RTX 4070 Ti GPUs. For our readers who are not familiar with binning: all GPU manufacturers actually produce the higher spec-ed SKU but not every SM or CUDA core is functional by the end of the lithographic process. So the perfectly working dies are sold as the higher end SKU and the dies which have fewer functioning parts get the dysfunctional parts lasered off or disabled with straps and sold as a lower-segment product. This is also how AMD and Intel operate and is part of the yield sciences involved in semiconductor manufacturing. According to Kopite7Kimi, the RTX 4070 will be a cut-down AD104 die with ID of PG141-SKU336 and PG141-SKU337. The exact GPU variant name is going to be AD104-250-A1. The GPU will have the exact same transistor count as the RTX 4070 Ti but only 5888 CUDA Cores will be activated across 46 SMs. It will feature the exact same VRAM as the 4070 Ti at 12GBs worth of GDDR6X memory and the same bus width at 192-bit. The memory will also be clocked at the same rate of 21 Gbps bringing the bandwidth to a solid 504 GB/s. This is going to be the first card from NVIDIA that is going to have a default TGP of 250W. The die size is going to be the same as the RTX 4070 Ti at 295mm². All of NVIDIA's Ada Lovelace lineup is manufactured on TSMC's 4nm process. Based on the core count specifications Kopite mentioned, we can now safely reverse engineer the estimated FP32 performance of this card. The card should have a nominal FP32 performance of 30.7 TFLOPs (5888 CUDA Cores * 2 * 2.610 GHz = 30.7 TFLOPs). Since this is a card of the exact same IHV and family, we can use the FP32 performance to directly compare rasterization performance between GPUs and based on this, it looks like it is going to be about 76% as fast as an RTX 4070 Ti. Of course, the performance is only as important as the pricing and depending on how NVIDIA prices this, it could end up being a crowd favorite.
