  6. https://www.arabnews.com/node/2037746/lifestyle Enter Harklinikken, the Danish-born hair restoration clinic founded by Lars Skjoth, which has gained cult status for miraculously reversing the effects of hair loss and thinning in patients. The clinic, which specializes in customized hair-restoration treatments, has garnered a number of celebrity fans who swear by it, including US actress Ricki Lake, who credits Harklinikken for helping her regain her hair health after a 30-year battle with hair loss. “Hair thinning is typically hereditary, but there are things that can exacerbate a hereditary condition,” said Skjoth at the reopening of the refurbished Dubai branch of Harklinikken. “It can be caused by environmental aggression, sleep deprivation and even nutritional deficiencies,” he added. Skjoth said that he sees a lot of early hair loss in people living in the Middle East due to a combination of different factors, including the quality of the foods we consume. “I see much more hair thinning in this region, especially in the people who live in (the GCC) and don’t have access to fat, rich, nutrient-dense soil and are constantly exposed to the heat.” He decided to open Harklinikken in Dubai 10 years ago after much research and having had success in treating more than 70,000 people in Denmark for over two decades, so that people from the Gulf region could have access to his miraculous elixirs. However, not everyone is a candidate for the customized hair extract. The Danish company offers its tailored treatment only to those who pass a rigorous selection process. Potential clients are asked to upload high-resolution photos of their head and hair online on the Harklinikken website. A specialist will then schedule a consultation call with them and let them know the condition of their hair and the time assessment of their treatment. Physical examinations are also available at the clinic. “First, we examine our clients carefully to make sure that they don’t have any scalp issues, baldness from scarring or auto-immune diseases that cause hair loss,” says Skjoth, meaning that certain pre-existing health conditions will likely not benefit from the extensive treatment, which usually takes between 18-24 months for results to truly show. Following the hair assessment, clients order the hair extract that is custom-blended for them specifically, along with a correlating shampoo and conditioner, plus a hair mask for dry hair. Harklinikken’s nutrient-rich formula, refined over 20 years, is derived from root-plant extracts and proteins, fatty acids and cow milk-derived elements. But it is not an overnight fix. In order for the formula to work, clients are advised to use it consistently. The extract must be applied every day for several months, and if the treatment is stopped at any point, lengths will go back to their original state. “We only accept people that we really believe we can help,” says Skjoth. The Harklinikken founder’s hair journey started when he was young. Skjoth reveals that he struggled with scalp issues for many years, and constantly visited dermatologists who would prescribe him nothing but “harsh-smelling products.” He added: “I remember one incident in particular where I had applied one of these formulas that you let sit in your hair for a couple of hours, and I went to the supermarket where there was a little girl with her mom and she said ‘there’s a funny smell here.’ She was actually referring to me, so it really made me start looking for alternative solutions. I went to the library and asked the librarian to help me find literature on hair, the scalp, things like that.” He went on to study chemistry and nutrition, and opened his first hair-restoration clinic at the age of 25. Today, he operates three clinics in the US and in Europe, as well as one in the Middle East, with plans to expand.

  8. https://www.pcgamer.com/elden-ring-photo-mode/ Elden Ring is a stunningly beautiful game composed of wide vistas that look ripped from the romantic period of art. It also has a lot of cute dogs and terrifying enemies. By default, you have to use the Telescope item and disable the UI to take photos, but now you can install a mod that puts a proper photo mode into the game. Frans "Otis_Inf" Bouma has released unofficial photo mode tools for Elden Ring, which will be free until March 10. Like with the mod that lets you pause the game and the cheats you can use, you have to play the game offline to avoid getting banned while using it. But if you can deal without player messages and co-op, you can boot up the mod to move the camera freely around the environment, make yourself invisible to enemies (like Margit, the Fell Omen), change the FoV, hide the UI, and pause the game. Be sure to follow the instructions in the mod folder to run it. It requires you to drag a file into your Elden Ring install directory that renames a file to disable Easy Anti-Cheat and forces the game into offline mode. It's reversible by dragging the file back out, but mandatory before you boot the game up so you don't get banned from playing online in the future. It's a risk worth taking, because Elden Ring deserves to be captured via a photo mode. Our own Fraser Brown argued for this earlier this week: "The lack of a photo mode is so much more noticeable and regrettable in Elden Ring not just because it's so damn striking—it also gives you the space and time to explore its sights without risking death with every screenshot." It's worth making an offline-only character to run through the game and snapshot all the beautiful trees and ruins. And with the pause feature, you might be able to capture your imminent death to all of the horrifying monsters in it too. Elden Ring was meant to be gawked at, and I'm glad we can finally do that—even if it means breaking the rules a little bit. I just hope Bandai Namco doesn't make Bouma take the tools down when they eventually require a subscription to their Patreon, which Crytek did earlier this year. 9. https://www.pcgamer.com/nvidia-hackers-leak-employee-credentials-threaten-to-release-nvidias-most-closely-guarded-trade-secrets/ Hacker group Lapsus$ has leaked the credentials of more than 71,000 Nvidia employees after the company did not acquiesce to its demands. The group stole the corporate data during a recent ransomware attack and threatened to release it if Nvidia didn't remove its cryptocurrency mining limiter (LHR) from its RTX 30-series video cards. Nvidia refused to do so, and the group has since issued another demand and claims it will release even more data if Nvidia doesn't comply. Earlier this week, Lapsus$ took credit for the leak of the source code for DLSS and information about six supposed unannounced GPUs. Along with the demand to remove the 30-series mining limiter, the digital ransom note demands that Nvidia make its RTX GPU drivers open source. The South American hacker group claimed to have had access to Nvidia servers for over a week and managed to steal at least 1TB of data during its ransomware attack. Nvidia confirmed with PC Mag that a "threat actor took employee credentials and some Nvidia proprietary information from our systems and has begun leaking it online." Today's leak of employee credentials includes employee email addresses and NTLM password hashes, which according to Have I Been Pwned are already being "cracked and circulated within the hacking community." This seems to include past and current employees, since Nvidia listed its current workforce at 18,100 as of October 2020. On Tuesday Lapsus$ amended its demands and said Nvidia has until Friday, March 4 to make all current and future GPU drivers open source. If Nvidia doesn't comply, the group threatens to release information regarding silicon chip files and what it referred to as "closely-guarded trade secrets for graphics and computer chipsets" in a public Telegram message group. The 'choice' the hackers are offering Nvidia reads like a note someone like Kite Man or the Condiment King would leave on the Mayor of Gotham City's computer screen. At the time of writing, Nvidia has seemingly not met the demands of Lapsus$. Nvidia told PC Gamer in a statement on February 28 that the incident is being investigated and "commercial activities continue uninterrupted." We reached out to Nvidia for comment again regarding today's leak and will update when we receive a reply. Jorge is a hardware writer from the enchanted lands of New Jersey. 10. https://www.techradar.com/news/5-hints-and-tips-to-easily-nail-todays-wordle-answer-261 Worlde is a fun word game, but it isn't necessarily easy. Sometimes, we need a little help. Consider me your Wordle Yoda. I want to help you solve the Wordle answer #261. What follows is a hint-based guide that can help you get off to a good Wordle start, get unstuck, or take you all the way to an early win. How you use my hints and tips is up to you. Wordle, which is now owned by The New York Times, asks you to guess a five-letter word in six tries. Correct letter guesses appear as orange. Correct letters in their correct spot appear as green. Unless you play in "Hard Mode," you don't have to use guessed letters in subsequent attempts. For those who don't want my help - just answers - you can check out today's Wordle answer. I bet, though, you return here for more of my sage guidance. What I teach here is not the one method for every Wordle win. Instead, we'll build a toolkit. Part of your training is understanding the difference between vowels and consonants, and why certain combinations of the two make more sense (or less) than others. I'll teach you how to look, with more of an analytical eye, at what you've gained and lost in each turn. Remember, every guess matters - even the bad ones. Feel free to share this guidance with others - if you want them to beat you at Wordle. Spoiler Alert: If you do not want to know today’s Wordle answer, STOP READIN A fresh start Over the weekend, I only Wordled on Saturday (solved in four), trying to preserve my brain strength for a strong start today. I also learned that my wife starts her games almost the same way as I do: with a word that "just comes to me." She's struggled with some of the same words as I have but has been known to "solve-in-three," more frequently than me. Perhaps she should be writing this diary. If learned anything last week (#258 "AHEAD), it's to slow down and, relax. I can get pretty tense when solving a Wordle, especially as I try to give you a play-by-play. The mantra for today is deep breaths. 1. Choosing the right first word Your biggest leap will always be that first word. I can choose any five-letter word but, generally, dismiss anything with double letters, as per our guide on how to win at Wordle. There are two goals: Get as many correct letters in the right spots as possible and miraculously guess the word on the first try. Thus far, I've never accomplished the latter. While I want to practice patience and not leap to any word choice conclusions, I do have a start word ready to go: WEIRD. I know, why that word? 1) It popped into my head 2) It has two vowels ("E" and "I") 3) I like the "D," it has potential 4) I don't often try "W" 5) It's as good as any other word 2. RD is in the right place Not terrible. It's not often I get two letters correct and in the correct position on the first guess. On the other hand, there are A LOT of words that end with "RD." I may have my work cut out for me. If I decide to go with Wordle's Hard Mode restrictions (I'm not officially playing in that mode), I'd have to use "RD" in my next guess. Knowing which letters are now excluded, though - "WEI" - I might attempt a full-blown guess. 3. It's time to consider new vowels I feel like I'm in a great position here. The two letters at the end give me a solid direction, as does the exclusion of two vowels and that "W." I scan my remaining letters for a couple of minutes and spot the "B." Almost immediately a word pops into my head: BOARD. It's a good choice because it's all-new letters and even if I'm wrong, I've excluded one-to-three more letters and am in a better position for my third guess. I hit "Enter." 4. _OARD is nearly there You would think having four letters in the right spot would be a golden ticket to "solved-in-three." it should be, but there may be more than a few words that look like this: _OARD. 5. It has to start with a consonant... but which? I quickly realize that there aren't that many options here. I try to follow my new mantra of pausing, taking a breath, and not leaping to any conclusions. I want this done in three. The start letter must be a consonant. I have quite a few to choose from - "P," "S," "F," "G," and more. As you might've noticed, none of them work. "H" does. I type in "HOARD" and confidently hit "Enter."

  13. https://www.arabnews.com/node/2037061/lifestyle The Lebanese designer, famous for his va-va-voom silhouettes and pastel palette, went in a darker direction on Saturday. Crowning the trend of black, this season Elie Saab experimented with eyelets. The golden holes teemed over black pantsuits. The V-neck — another fall trend — also was featured, first on floaty black silk gowns, and then as a scallop shape, which scooped out the torso with a beautiful Grecian gold hem. Shoulders were rounded or lopped off, in another nod to the season’s styles. But at times this collection seemed to lack an overarching visual theme. TRIBUTE TO UKRAINE As Paris Fashion Week continues, many attendees' thoughts remain with Ukrainians suffering amid the escalation of the conflict — and with some creatives unable to attend because of the crisis, such as Kyiv-based milliner Ruslan Baginskiy. This is especially the case for the one Ukrainian designer who did make it to Paris: Lili Litkovskaya. She is reportedly the only Ukrainian designer attending the shows this season, having fled Kyiv on the first day of the invasion with her two-year-old daughter but with no collection, and no team. Litkovskaya has paid tribute to her peers by flying the Ukrainian flag inside La Bourse as part of the Tranoi fashion trade fair running parallel to Fashion Week. On Saturday, she stood in front of the Marianne statue in the Place de la Republique as part of the official anti-war demonstration. SIALELLI WEAVES MAGIC AT LANVIN He’s been described as the “providential outsider,” saving Lanvin from the creative wilderness after the stinging departure of iconic designer Alber Elbaz in 2015 and a string of underwhelming replacements. Now Bruno Sialelli — a virtual unknown before being tapped in 2019 — continues to weave his quirky magic into the age-old brand. It will likely come as a relief for many, especially the French — given the special place the house holds in their hearts as their oldest continually operating fashion house. Fall’s co-ed show explored big shoulders and bright color. A traffic-stopping fur coat in cadmium blue began the collection, worn on a little black dress with plunging V-neck. A big theme was announced by a jumpsuit with theatrically large, curved shoulder pads framing the silhouette like a tent. Humor — the terrain of the late Elbaz — was also on the menu, with fun prints on fur coats that resembled a funky mushroom, or a coated femme fatale seen from behind. It was a safe, yet highly sellable collection that ticked all the right boxes. KRONTHALER GETS THEATRICAL Vivienne Westwood’s husband and creative right-hand man Kronthaler was in a typical burlesque mood with Saturday’s eccentric fare that mixed 70’s styles with the medieval — explaining that for fall-winter he intended to pay homage to the world of the stage. “I wanted to make a collection about the theater, the commedia dell’arte,” he said, referring to the early theatrical genre originating in Italy from the 16th century that featured hyperbolic, often grotesque characters. “(I’ve been) very inspired by this since (being) a teenager,” he added. Cut to billowing funeral veils, tracksuits in harlequin diamond patterns, corseted gowns, and gold truncated boots that screamed Puss in Boots-meets-Glam Rock. Though Pulcinella, the commedia dell’arte’s black-masked clown, did not make an appearance, masks, ruching and draping that inspired the character's famed looks were all featured in droves. Draping — a house signature — was also a big theme, alongside layering and intentionally contrasting styles. U.S. designer Rick Owens, who himself aligns with Kronthaler’s eccentric fashion-forward aesthetic, applauded vigorously from the front row. MARINE SERRE'S VISUAL DECEPTIONS The collection of the new darling wunderkind of Paris Fashion Week, Marine Serre, used clashing and contrasting patterns with aplomb to create dynamic, sometimes deceptive visual effects. The 30-year-old French designer cut her teeth at Balenciaga, and it shows. A fashion -forward vibe pervaded many of the looks that mastered discord: A red tartan inset on a long coat seemed to bleed into a Prince of Wales check, with flashes of houndstooth in the sleeves on the lapel. A long winter scarf was constructed of several clashing, color-rich patterns stitched together, and worn regally like a sash. There were many moments of humor in this 48-piece collection. A large red devore velvet face covering, which evoked a glamorous Spiderman, also made a comment about the pandemic, and the way in which masks have become a part of our daily lives.
  14. https://www.pcgamer.com/destiny-2-clan-wins-two-worlds-first-raid-races-in-a-row/ The race for a "world's first" completion of a new Destiny raid is a much-loved and well-spectated tradition in Bungie's long-running looter shooter, with the races to clear fan-favorite raids like King's Fall or Last Wish being fondly remembered by the community. Bungie announced the winners, clan Elysium, at around 8PM EST yesterday. Elysium also took World's First in Destiny 2's reprisal of Vault of Glass, which was brought forward from the first game last May. The race to clear Vow of the Disciple was a bit rocky, complicated by connection error codes which kept competitive teams out of the raid for hours at a time. The various connectivity issues cast a pall over the proceedings, and Elysium themselves were not immune. They were error-coded out of the raid for almost two hours at the beginning of competition and yet still clutched it out. To my eye, that does add a nice comeback element to their story. The raid's completion also unlocked story content for players at large, as per Destiny tradition. There's a new mission centered around the raid's location as well further elaboration on the story revelations introduced in it. If you'd like to beef up your Guardian and check out Vow of the Disciple yourself, be sure to check out our guest spot from Destiny 2 content creator CoolGuy on how to create the best void builds in Destiny 2. 16. https://www.pcgamer.com/amd-prepares-ryzen-5-5500-5600-and-ryzen-7-5700x-cpus-to-combat-intels-12th-gen-threat/ AMD is preparing new CPUs to combat the threat posed by Intel’s 12th Gen Alder Lake range. The Ryzen 7 5700X along with the Ryzen 5 5600 and 5500 are set to join the much-discussed Ryzen 7 5800X3D. The models may end up as the last AM4 models to be released before the AM5 platform arrives later in 2022. According to Wccftech, the new CPUs are expected to launch later this month. Throughout 2021 AMD was conspicuously absent from the entry level market and needs something to compete, hence the new models. It’s been well over a year since the launch of AMD’s mid-range Ryzen 5 5600X. During that time AMD’s mainstream market share has been left wide open to attack from Intel. Notably, since the 5600X launched, Intel has launched two generations of CPUs. The Ryzen 7 5700X is a 65W 8C/16T model that will compete with the 12600 and 12600K. Its clock speeds are unknown but given what we know about the 105W 5800X, we can expect clock speeds to be lower to fit into the 65W power budget. Somewhere around a 3.6GHz base clock and 4.5GHz boost clock could be expected. It should undercut the price of the Intel 12600 CPUs, and thanks to its low TDP, it could be a good option for those looking for an affordable eight core CPU. Next up are the two six core CPUs, the Ryzen 5 5500 and 5600. The 5500 is rumoured to be a 6C/6T CPU which indicates that it will be cheap and go up against entry level 12th Gen CPUs such as the 12100. The 5600 is perhaps the most important model as it’s set to go up against the excellent i5 12400 which earned our Editors Pick award. It's reportedly a 6C/12T model and should end up much like the existing 5600X. It's going to have to be priced under the 12400 if it is to compete, though thanks to the longevity of the AM4 platform, it could make a very affordable and worthwhile upgrade for users upgrading from older generation Ryzen CPUs. he 5600 is perhaps the most important model as it’s set to go up against the excellent i5 12400 which earned our Editors Pick award. AMDs new CPUs are set to be joined by the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. This is AMD's first CPU to incorporate vertically stacked cache. It has lower clocks than the 5800X in order to keep the TDP to 105W, and it remains to be seen if the extra cache can overcome the lowered clock penalty. AMD believes the 5800X3D will deliver up to 15% improved gaming performance. These CPUs could be the swansong for AMD’s AM4 platform. The all new AM5 platform and Zen 4 CPUs are set to be released later in 2022. If AMD follows the pattern set by Zen 3, we’ll only see mid-range to high end CPUs, initially meaning that the 5500 and 5600 could carry AMD's entry level hopes for the rest of 2022. 17. https://www.techradar.com/news/your-biggest-copy-and-paste-issue-could-finally-be-fixed A new free macOS app looks to finally solve one of the most frustrating issues plaguing users today when it comes to having to copy and paste text. We've all been there - you've copied some text from a web page or word document, but when pasting it into a new location, the original formatting has caused it to suffer problems that range from a minor inconvenience to throwing off the layout of the whole document. Now, Pure Paste looks to provide an end to this most annoying headache by pasting plain text by default, hopefully spelling an end to formatting issues across all your files. Available now from the App Store for free, Pure Paste looks to remove all formatting from any copied text, which now transfers to its new pasted location without any unwanted issues. The app runs in the background, sitting in the macOS menu bar, and looks to replace the current (and rather over-complicated) method of pressing Command+Shift+Option+V for format-free pasting on a Mac. On its App Store page, developer Sindre Sorhus noted that Pure Paste clears all formatting, including fonts, colors, bold, links, tables and more, with users also able to choose to manually clear formatting whenever needed instead of automatically via the menubar icon or a keyboard shortcut. The app only focuses on text, staying clear of unrelated content such as files and images, and also ignores content copied from password managers. And whilst it does access your clipboard, Sorhus noted that it doesn't store any data, or even connect to the internet at all. Despite being one of the most po[CENSORED]r shortcuts for users everywhere, copy and paste still receives regular upgrades attempting to make the service better. Most recently, Microsoft and Google were revealed to be developing a new set of Chromium APIs that will extend the functionality of the copy-and-paste feature across their respective web browsers. Microsoft also boasts the Cloud Clipboard utility, which allows users to copy-and-paste items across multiple devices, including smartphones via the Microsoft-owned SwiftKey Keyboard for Android tool. Here's the best free office software around right now
