The Poco F4 5G offers a good balance of specifications for its retail price as we've already seen in our first impressions. However, this smartphone faces stiff competition from brands such as OnePlus, iQoo, and even its close cousin Xiaomi. It's time to find out whether the F4 5G is worth buying or whether you'd be better off with something from one of these other manufacturers at this price. Poco F4 5G price in India The official retail price of the Poco F4 5G starts at Rs. 27,999 for the variant with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. For Rs. 29,999, you get 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Finally, for Rs. 33,999 you get 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and this is the configuration I've been testing. Keep in mind that with promotional offers and online sales, you can get each of these variants for a lot less. The F4 5G is available in Nebula Green and Night Black colours. Poco F4 5G design The Poco F4 5G looks like a premium smartphone thanks to its frosted glass back and matte frame. It's a bit on the heavier side, weighing about 195g, but it's not a very thick phone at 7.7mm. Even though the frame of the phone is flat, there are chamfered edges so it doesn't dig into your palm when holding it. One thing I wasn't able to get used to was its buttons. The volume and power buttons are both on the right side of the phone and are a bit too recessed and stiff for my liking, requiring extra effort to use. They all have the same texture too, which makes it a little tricky at times to tell which is the one you want, especially since the power button houses the fingerprint sensor. The Poco F4 5G doesn't have a headphone jack, but you get stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and also an infrared emitter. The retail package includes a case, 67W power adapter, data cable, and even a USB Type-C to 3.5mm headphone adapter, which is thoughtful. The display is one of the main attractions of the Poco F4 5G, and should appeal to those who consume a lot of media on their smartphones. It's a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Dolby Vision HDR playback is supported in the Netflix app. The display also supports HDR10+ playback. You get a full-HD+ resolution with a relatively high pixel density of 395 ppi, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for scratch protection. The Poco F4 5G comes with a pre-applied screen protector which tends to pick up a lot of smudges and fingerprints. Poco F4 5G specifications and software The Poco F4 5G uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, and in India, there's support for up to 10 5G bands. There's also dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and the usual array of sensors and satellite navigation systems. Poco claims it has used a vapour chamber and graphite sheets in the F4 5G, to keep the SoC running cool under load. The phone also has an X-axis linear vibration motor for more precise haptics. Poco told Gadgets 360 the F4 5G has an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance, even though I wasn't able to find any explicit mention of this feature in any of the brand's marketing material or website listing. The phone has a 4,500mAh battery with support for up to 67W wired fast charging. The Poco F4 5G runs on MIUI 13 (v13.0.3) based on Android 12. During the course of this review, the phone did receive some updates, the last one being the June 2022 Android security patch. MIUI is generally quite a bloated skin on Xiaomi smartphones with a lot of the first-party apps being notorious for spamming you with annoying notifications. On the F4 5G, you still get most of the bloatware but there's next to no notification spam despite the same apps such as GetApps and Themes being preinstalled. On the downside, Poco hasn't committed to any long-term updates (yet) for the F4 5G. The user interface is slick and fluid with plenty of options for customisation. The always-on display can be tweaked to your exact liking, and on the F4 5G, you can have it enabled all the time or schedule it for certain times, unlike on some of other Poco's other offerings such as the X4 Pro 5G (Review). All the usual MIUI shortcuts and gestures are available too. Poco F4 5G performance and battery life The Poco F4 5G ran quite well during the review period and I didn't face any performance issues. The fingerprint sensor was very reliable for authentication and I like the fact that you can choose between a touch and a press of the power button to activate it. Face recognition worked well too as long as there was enough light around. HDR media streamed over the Internet looked very good on the Poco F4 5G's display. Colours were vivid and the brightness was more than adequate. Dolby Vision shows on Netflix looked good and HDR videos in general were very enjoyable. The stereo speakers can get very loud and sound good. Games ran very well too on the F4 5G. Po[CENSORED]r titles such as Asphalt 9: Legends and Call of Duty: Mobile ran smoothly. The Poco F4 5G is able to maintain its cool quite well even after 20 minutes of gaming. Benchmark numbers were strong, and it scored 684,474 points in AnTuTu and a solid 50fps in GFXbench's ‘Car Chase' test. Battery life on the Poco F4 5G was pretty good. On average, with medium to light usage which included a bit of gaming, watching videos, Web browsing, the F4 5G still managed to last for a little over a day. The phone charges very quickly thanks to the bundled high-wattage power adapter. In our battery loop test, the Poco F4 5G ran for 18 hours and 14 minutes, which was good. Poco F4 5G cameras The primary camera on the Poco F4 5G has a 64-megapixel Omnivision sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and optical stabilisation (OIS). You also get an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera on the back. Selfies are handled by a 20-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera app should be familiar to anyone who has used a recent Xiaomi smartphone. There are a lot of shooting modes for both stills and video. The main rear camera supports video recording up to 4K 60fps, but the ultra-wide and selfie cameras are restricted to 1080p 30fps. The rear cameras really struggled with exposure in low-light landscape shots. Details were lacking, objects had poor texture quality, and darker regions appeared as black patches. Night mode had very little impact on bettering the exposure or details. The ultra-wide camera was even weaker in low-light scenarios and while Night mode did help a little, it wasn't enough to get a usable photo. Selfies looked good in daylight with decent skin tones, details and exposure. Portrait mode also worked decently well, blurring out the right portions of the image. Videos recorded at 4K 60fps looked good. There's no stabilisation but the autofocus was steady, details were good and colours looked punchy. 4K 30fps videos had stabilisation but footage looked a bit jerky if recorded when walking, even slowly. There is a ‘Steady video' toggle that will restrict you to 1080p recording when enabled, but footage still looked jerky and was heavily cropped. Low-light videos had visible noise and jitter due to stabilisation. Verdict The Poco F4 5G is a well-designed smartphone that looks and feels premium. It offers very good gaming performance, above-average battery life, quick charging, and a very nice display that supports Dolby Vision HDR playback. The IP53 rating also is a nice bonus. This phone offers better value than the Xiaomi Mi 11X (Review), which is essentially the same device but with slower charging. The 12GB RAM version is worth going for if you can find it selling for less than Rs. 30,000, however at Rs. 33,999, you'd be better off with the Nothing Phone 1 (Review). If you're looking for good camera performance, phones such as the Realme 9 Pro+ (Review) and OnePlus Nord 2T (Review) would be better options. The recently launched Oppo Reno 8 (Review) should also be a good camera smartphone since it's similar to the Nord 2T, however we'll reserve our final verdict on that till we finish reviewing it. https://gadgets360.com/mobiles/reviews/poco-f4-5g-price-in-india-review-flipkart-vs-iqoo-neo-6-redmi-k50i-3195320#pfrom=indepth

Apple has just unveiled its fiscal Q3 earnings report, one of the most highly-anticipated of this week’s slew of earnings releases — and, as expected, the results are in line with many analyst predictions around supply chain constraints, China issues, and inflation-related headwinds that are dragging down the revenue picture for much of Big Tech at the moment. For the quarter ended in June, Apple posted $82.96 billion in revenue. As a point of contrast, Apple during the same year-ago period posted revenue of $81.43 billion and earnings of $1.30 per share. Apple earnings July 2022 Ahead of the iPhone maker’s latest earnings report, analysts were anticipating revenue in the $82.8 billion range. That translated to just a blip of an increase (1.7%) over the same period last year. In terms of the actual results, though? Apple turned in a record fiscal Q3, with earnings per share of $1.20 topping the consensus analyst estimate of $1.16. Driving the revenue picture for Apple, in spite of more Covid-related shutdowns in China and inflation hampering many consumers’ spending habits: iPhone revenue for the quarter topped $40 billion. That beat analyst estimates of just over $39 billion for the quarter. Other product categories — like Macs, iPads, and wearables/accessories — saw year-over-year revenue declines during the quarter. Record results “Today, Apple is reporting another record June quarter,” CEO Tim Cook raved to analysts about the company’s performance during an afternoon earnings call. And that was “despite supply constraints and the impact of our business in Russia.” Continuing, Cook added that the company saw record revenue in the US, in Europe, and in the rest of the Asia-Pacific region. The iPhone is still driving an outsized share of that growth, with Cook adding that the handset “remains the gold standard for smartphones” and “continues to change the world in profound ways with each new innovation.” In terms of bright spots for Apple, the company of course has the iPhone 14 launch coming later this year. Higher-end product offerings and strong digital sales for services like Apple Music and Apple TV+ are also helping the company weather pullbacks in other areas. In fact, the company’s catch-all Services category saw revenue of $19.6 billion during the quarter, handily beating the analyst estimate of $17.5 billion. In other Apple news, iPhone 14 manufacturing should soon start in anticipation of the mid-September launch. But the company might be dealing with various unforeseen production problems. Ming-Chi Kuo detailed the latest one in a new report. A quality check reportedly surfaced issues with the coating of certain iPhone 14 cameras. However, it seems that Apple quickly fixed the potential supply issue by transferring orders to a different manufacturer. https://bgr.com/business/apple-q3-earnings-despite-headwinds-82-96-billion-in-revenue-in-line-with-estimates/

Who does this site protect? Different types of fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals have been recorded in the extension of the area, totaling 565 species. On the other hand, the flora preserved in this reserve will be made up of approximately 400 species of plants. 9 of the plants that will be conserved in the area are classified as species at risk. The protected natural area will be divided into two main zones: the core zone and the buffer zone. In each of them, various recreational and research activities will be allowed, as long as the habitats or the viability of wildlife and their po[CENSORED]tions are not altered. Some of the permitted activities are: Low environmental impact tourism Restoration of ecosystems, reforestation Reintroduction or repo[CENSORED]tion of wildlife Environmental education biological monitoring The creation of protected areas contributes to the reduction of cases such as Black Jaguar – White Tiger and to the species recovering the territory that urbanization has stolen from them but that belongs to them naturally. https://www.ngenespanol.com/ecologia/nueva-area-nautral-protegida-en-el-sureste-de-mexico/

Supporters of the Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring Our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act — or PACT Act — overwhelmingly expected the House-passed bill to sail through to the president's desk for signature. But in a move that shocked and confused veteran groups Wednesday night, 41 Senate Republicans blocked the bill's passage, including 25 who had supported it a month ago. "We really expected yesterday to be a procedural vote that would go with easy passage," said Jeremy Butler, CEO of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, a nonprofit veterans’ organization. "That was the absolute expectation." The PACT Act would have expanded VA health care eligibility to more than 3.5 million post-9/11 combat veterans who were exposed to toxins while serving in the military. The Senate passed the original legislation 84-14 in June. It underwent minor changes when it moved to the House, where it passed 342-88. When the bill returned to the Senate, the bill had not changed much but the view — and vote — of 25 senators did. While it's unclear what prompted the flip, veterans believe the move was political. "We’ve seen partisanship and games within Congress for years," Butler said. "But what is shocking is that so many senators would literally be willing to play with veterans’ lives so openly like this." "They’re manufacturing reasons to vote against legislation that they literally voted for just last month," Butler added. "And so it’s really a new level of low." Veterans who were exposed to toxins during deployments said the lives of sick and dying people who served the nation are on the line. "It’s angering. It’s frustrating," said Tom Porter, 54, who developed asthma after spending a year in Afghanistan with the U.S. Navy Reserve from 2010 to 2011. In the first week of his deployment, Porter said he suffered a serious reaction with his lungs and could not breathe. Le Roy Torres, 49, who was diagnosed with a lung disease and a toxic brain injury after he was deployed to Iraq with the U.S. Army, said he was devastated about the failure of the bill and urged lawmakers to reconvene immediately. “I know these senators are getting ready for a break. But I didn’t get a break when I was deployed,” he said. “They should not be allowed to go home until they figure this out.” “I was taught in the Army not to accept defeat and never quit,” he added. “I’m going to keep pressing on this issue.” Torres’ wife, Rosie, the co-founder and executive director of the nonprofit Burn Pits 360, said the 25 senators who flipped their votes "should be ashamed of themselves." In protest, she and other advocates plan to camp on the steps of the U.S. Capitol Thursday night. “These veterans fought for our freedom during the war," she said. “It’s partisan tactics on the backs of veterans that are sick and dying.” The PACT Act was named after Heath Robinson, a sergeant with the Ohio National Guard who was deployed to Kosovo and Iraq. He died in 2020 from lung cancer, which he blamed on burn pit exposure. Open-air burn pits were common at U.S. military bases during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Dangerous materials, from electronics and vehicles to human waste, were regularly doused in jet fuel and set ablaze, spewing toxic fumes and carcinogens into the air. Many others have developed cancers, respiratory illnesses and other serious conditions as a direct result of exposure to toxins, veteran groups say. President Joe Biden, who has championed the PACT Act, said he believes his late son Beau Biden’s brain cancer was linked to exposure to burn pits while he was deployed in Iraq in 2008. Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Penn., who voted against the legislation in June, has remained vocally critical of the bill. Yesterday, after the vote, he said that the bill included a “budget gimmick" that moved $400 billion over 10 years from “discretionary to the mandatory spending category,” which he considered unreasonable. His view did not change in Wednesday's vote. The views of Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., certainly did, however. Johnson voted for the bill in June, but voted against it on Wednesday. He said in a statement that the bill “opens the door for more reckless government spending." Why Republicans, like Johnson, changed their minds a month after passing the legislation remains unclear, and it was confounding and unclear to veterans and advocates who shared their ire in Washington, D.C. on Thursday. The comedian Jon Stewart, who has advocated for 9/11 first responders and military veterans for years, excoriated Republican lawmakers outside the Capitol Thursday, angrily describing their opposition to the bill as “an embarrassment to the Senate, to the country, to the Founders.” “Their constituents are dying and they’re gonna get it done in recess,” Stewart said in fiery and expletive-laden remarks. “You know, tell their cancer to take a recess, tell their cancer to stay home and go visit their families. This is disgrace. If this is America first, America is [expletive].” https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/blindsided-veterans-erupt-in-fury-after-senate-republicans-suddenly-tank-pact-act/ar-AA1059jE?li=BBnb7Kz

ICICI Bank credit card holders with a minimum credit limit of Rs. 1,50,000 will be able to benefit from this offer at retail outlets across India. This scheme also gives the option of zero down payment and a processing fee of 1 percent. The new Buy Now, Pay Later option enables Samsung customers to pay 60 percent of the total amount in 18 no-cost EMI monthly instalments. The remaining 40 percent can be repaid in a lump sum with the 19th instalment. As previously mentioned, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable smartphones are eligible for this offer. The Galaxy S22 series — the vanilla Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra — also now come with the Buy Now, Pay Later option. In addition to the Buy Now, Pay Later offer, customers who go for either the regular Galaxy S22 or the Galaxy S22+ can also buy the Galaxy Buds 2 for Rs. 2,999. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro / Galaxy Buds Pro 2 on August 10 alongside the Galaxy Z Fold4, Z Flip4, Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro. The new Pro buds will be successors to the original Galaxy Buds Pro which launched in January 2021. Today a new rumor claims to reveal the upcoming pricing of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro in the US market. They will allegedly cost $229.99, which is $30 more than the Galaxy Buds Pro retailed for when they became available. If this pans out, then expect a similar price hike in other markets too. Another source says the new buds will have support for 24-bit audio. Previous rumors talked about three color versions: white, Graphite, and Bora Purple. To stick with the colors theme, we also have a "confirmation" in rumor form of the hues in which Samsung's new wearables will arrive. We're looking at gold, gray, and silver for the 40mm Watch5, blue, gray and silver for the 44m model, and black and gray for the Pro. https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_buds_2_pro_price_leaks-news-55213.php

While Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook parent company Meta, has been proselytizing for months to anyone who will listen about the inevitability of our participation in the so-called metaverse, some analysts think the legacy component of his internet empire is in more trouble than ever. Facebook is beset by challenges on multiple fronts at the moment. The TikTok app continues its inexorable stealing-away of young people. Apple’s anti-tracking app provisions have taken a huge bite out of Facebook’s business. The digital ad market in general is in a huge slump. Moreover, these are some of the reasons analysts suspect that on Wednesday, July 27, Facebook’s parent company might do something that it’s never done before: Report a year-over-year quarterly revenue decline. Facebook earnings in focus The latest Facebook earnings report comes as Wall Street has punished many of the Big Tech names year-to-date. Amazon, Microsoft, Alphabet, and Apple are all down. Meta, though, is down more than any of them. A little more than 50% for the year, in fact, at the time of writing. The social media giant’s corporate parent — which also owns Instagram and WhatsApp — had until last year grown its revenue each quarter like clockwork by at least 20 percent. Now? “This company is facing this perfect storm,” said Mark Mahaney, the senior managing director of internet research at Evercore ISI, per Alex Kantrowitz’s Big Technology Substack newsletter. “It has been for a while.” There’s certainly a chance that Facebook’s parent company could surprise analysts to the upside on Wednesday. But even if it does, the expectation is that any growth would be small. Mahaney added that TikTok’s ad revenue growth, for example, is up triple digits. And “that growth has got to be coming from somewhere.” First-ever year-over-year revenue decline? This Wednesday’s earnings report will illuminate the degree to which that growth might be at the expense of Facebook’s once-formidable ad revenue machine. To counter the headwinds, the company in recent days started rolling out a revamped Facebook app design and is said to be experimenting with offering users the option for multiple profiles. Meanwhile, the TikTok-like Reels content format is becoming increasingly determinative of Facebook’s fortunes. In fact, Instagram and Facebook are both starting to nudge users toward posting more Reels. But will the attempt to turn Facebook into a TikTok-style experience be enough to staunch the bleeding? “They’re starting to get tired of it,” said Debra Aho Williamson, an analyst at research firm Insider Intelligence, told CNBC. “Users are definitely gravitating towards other platforms or they’re engaging with Facebook less, and when you start to see that happening in bigger and bigger quantities, that’s when the advertisers really start to take notice.” https://bgr.com/business/facebook-expected-to-take-a-big-hit-this-week-as-users-are-starting-to-get-tired-of-it/

The specimens that were in the Black Jaguar – White Tiger foundation are still in trouble, even after the 'rescue'. The Association of Zoos, Breeders and Aquariums of Mexico (AZCARM) warned that the authorities of the Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (PROFEPA) have prevented the rescue work of animals from being carried out properly. This is the case of the specimens from the Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation, an establishment that housed jaguars, servals, lions, tigers, spider monkeys, baboons and capuchins among other types of wild animals. According to Ernesto Zazueta, President of AZCARM: “WE ARE REALLY SURPRISED, ANNOYED, DISAPPOINTED BEFORE SO MUCH CONFLICT THAT THE PROFEPA HAS GENERATED JUST FOR TRYING TO HELP THEM. THE ZOOLOGICAL INSTITUTIONS OF AZCARM HAVE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY IN THE EXAMINATION AND MEDICAL ATTENTION OF THE EXEMPLARS, IN THE ADAPTATION OF SPACES IN THE ZOOS AND IN EVERYTHING THAT IMPLICATES THE TRANSFERS. IT IS A LOT OF WORK AND A LOT OF RESOURCES THAT WE HAVE INVESTED IN HELPING THEM.” We suggest: Dehydrated and badly injured: this was the rescue of the big cats of the Black Jaguar-White Tiger foundation the endless rescue Black Jaguar-White Tiger was closed in July this year and the animals were relocated after check-ups and treatments to improve their health. Their destinations were the states of Puebla, Michoacán, Sinaloa, State of Mexico and Mexico City. It is planned to continue with the transfers to Guanajuato, Veracruz, Morelos and Chiapas. However, according to a statement from AZCARM, the state agency in charge of following up on the rescue has engaged in bad practices. “IT REALLY IS A NIGHTMARE AND IT IS VERY UNPLEASANT NOT TO BE ABLE TO HELP SIMPLY BECAUSE WE ARE NOT ALLOWED; THEY LEAVE OUR PERSONNEL OUTSIDE, THEY DO NOT GIVE OUR GROUP OF VETERINARIES ACCESS TO VARIOUS AREAS AND WHEN THEY DO, THEY DO IT WITH VERY BAD MANNERS AND EVEN BEHAVE AGGRESSIVE.” Zazueta directly points to Patricio Rodolfo Vilchis Noriega, General Director of Forest Inspection and Surveillance of PROFEPA, as the main person responsible for these actions. For its part, PROFEPA reported that the lioness Lucky is undergoing treatment while awaiting the results of the studies performed on her. Unfortunately, in the midst of the administrative disorder and the media accusations launched between instances, those who have suffered the most are the animals. https://www.ngenespanol.com/animales/que-ha-pasado-caso-black-jaguar-white-tiger/

Great Wall presents in Chile the latest evolution of its family of trucks, the Wingle 7, based on the platform of the current Wingle 6 but longer and better developed. Both its aesthetics and its interior design have changed significantly, thus distancing itself from its more utilitarian past and approaching much more refined and equipped proposals. With a capacity of one ton, its four versions are powered by a two-liter turbodiesel engine, with 140 Hp and 315 Nm, with the option of simple or four-wheel drive. he day after the House Jan. 6 committee wrapped up its most recent public hearing, all eyes turned to Washington’s federal courts last Friday. Not only did a jury convict former Trump White House adviser Steve Bannon of two counts of contempt of Congress on that day, but eagle-eyed observers also noticed another, more cooperative Trump World figure exiting the courthouse: Marc Short, former chief of staff to former Vice President Mike Pence. Soon after, reports emerged that Short and another former Pence aide, counsel Greg Jacob, testified last week before a federal grand jury investigating the events surrounding the Jan. 6 attack. And on Tuesday night, The Washington Post reported that grand jury has been questioning witnesses, including but apparently not limited to Short and Jacob, about their “conversations with Trump, his lawyers, and others in his inner circle who sought to substitute Trump allies for certified electors from some states Joe Biden won.” The revelation that the Justice Department is investigating then-President Donald Trump’s actions comes as some of his aides are working to put visible distance between themselves and their former boss. And perhaps no group highlights that trend more clearly than the alumni of the Trump White House counsel’s office. For starters, when Short was seen leaving the courthouse last Friday, a second recognizable Trump alum was at his side: Emmet Flood. Flood, a partner with Washington’s storied Williams & Connolly, has had a fascinating career. One of then-President Bill Clinton’s lawyers during his impeachment, Flood later worked in the White House Counsel’s Office during George W. Bush’s administration. And most recently, before Flood was Short’s lawyer, he served as the White House’s head lawyer for special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation and was even briefly acting White House counsel until Pat Cipollone arrived. When he left the White House in June 2019, Trump was effusive in his praise, tweeting that his “friend” Emmet had done a “GREAT JOB.” Continue reading https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/maddow-blog-ex-trump-white-house-lawyers-take-sides-—-against-trump/ar-AA102SMr?li=BBnb7Kz
