  1. If you’ve ever needed remote access to a PC, you’ve probably tried VPN or other apps such as TeamViewer. However, this kind of software only works within the remote computer’s OS, which means that it can’t access the BIOS, reboot, install an operating system or power on the computer. There are several solutions that allow you to remote control a PC independently of its operating system, but using a KVM over IP is one of the most convenient and affordable. While a store-bought KVM over IP device can cost hundreds of dollars, it’s easy to use a Raspberry Pi to create your own. A developer named Maxim Devaev designed his own system called Pi-KVM, which he is planning to sell as a $130 kit. However, if you have the right parts, you can use the software he’s developed and your Pi, to put it together for far less. Below, we’ll show you how to build your own Raspberry Pi-powered KVM over IP that can output full HD video, control GPIO ports and USB relays, configure server power using ATX functions and more. You’ll be able to control the whole setup via a web browser from another device over the internet via TailScale VPN or on your local network. Here’s how to do that with Raspberry Pi Imager, but you can also use other burning software such as balenaEtcher.
  2. Creating your own blog or newsletter has never been easier with the growing number of blogging sites and email marketing software now available but the alternative email provider Hey wants to make things even simpler with its new Hey World service. The service is being offered as a free addition to Hey's paid email plans and it allows users to create a blog post or newsletter just by sending an email. We've built a list of the best email services available These are the best CRM software solutions on the market Also check out our roundup of the best blogging software To get started, Hey users will need to send an email to world@hey.com after which, the subject of the email will become the post's headline while the body of the email will become the blog post itself. Hey World Once users have sent their first email, Hey will automatically create a blog for them by adding their user name to the end of the URL world.hey.com. All of future posts will then be added to the blog which also features an RSS feed as well as an email subscription box so that their followers can keep up with their latest posts. In a blog post announcing Hey World, co-founder Jason Fried explained how he came up with the idea for the new service, saying: “When I write a certain kind of email — aka a blog post — why do I have to address it to someone? Why can't I just address my thoughts to the world? Direct to the web for anyone and everyone? Rather than define the recipients, I just write and let the recipients find me. Hmm! That might get me — and maybe many more — to (re)discover the joy of simply writing personal thoughts for public consumption. Sometimes you don't have to change the thing itself, but rather just make the thing considerably easier than it's ever been before. That's often the invitation you need to try something new, or jump back in again.” Hey's new Hey World blogs are now available to all of the company's subscribers with personal accounts though unfortunately, users on business accounts won't be able to try out the new service just yet. We've also highlighted the best online marketing services
  3. Ubisoft has shared details on what to expect from The Division 2 in 2021. Plans include a new mode that will, according to the development team, be unlike anything we've seen in the series to date. But because Ubisoft only recently decided to continue development on new content for the game at all, the cadence for releases will be a little bit different. Ubisoft didn't share what the new mode is, but said it will be "entirely new to the franchise," and that it's also working on new ways to help keep players' character builds fresh as they continue playing the game's existing content. The Season 5 content coming to the game soon will actually be a return of Season 1's content, allowing those who didn't get certain rewards to finally snag them. This is intended to keep players engaged while the development team, which now includes Ubisoft Bucharest alongside Ubisoft Massive, works on brand-new content. That's a whole lot of bullets That's a whole lot of bullets As part of its announcement, Ubisoft also shared some statistics on the game so far. Across the franchise, there have been 40 million players, and one agent in the game has revived others more than 27,000 times. There have also been 156 billion headshots, and one agent has managed to climb more than 36,000 floors in The Summit location. There hasn't really been any indication of a full third game from Ubisoft yet, but there was a three-year gap between the first and second games. The Division 2 had a slow start, missing Ubisoft's sales expectations. However, it received generally positive reviews and it managed to offer a nice endgame, even at launch, by completely changing the enemies on the map once the campaign was finished. Ubisoft Massive also has a lot of projects on its plate already, including a new open-world Star Wars game and an Avatar game. Essentially no details have come out about either title, though we do know FoxNext and Lightstorm will be assisting on the Avatar project and it will use the same Snowdrop engine as The Division 2.

  6. The eyes are the window to the soul, especially when paired with a face mask. A dating coach has claimed there’s a whopping twelve ways to flirt — even despite the common PPE — revealing how to make eyes at your special someone. Jean Smith, a social and cultural anthropologist in London, has shared her tips and tricks for batting eyes and flashing lashes in a recent interview. "It might seem frustrating that we can only see a small part of someone’s face these days, but do not be disheartened," Smith told with South West News Service (SWNS.) "The eyes are the most powerful source of attraction, which is why they have been the subject of numerous quotes and poems over the ages. My favorite is, ‘We try to hide our feelings but we forgot that our eyes speak’." TEXAS SCHOOL UNDER FIRE FOR 'CHIVALRY' ASSIGNMENT, INSTRUCTING GIRLS TO 'OBEY' MALE STUDENTS To that end, a recent Vision Direct study of 2,000 adults in England found that 61% feel it’s hard tell if someone is smiling at them through a face mask. What’s more, 44% say they now overexaggerate with their eyes while wearing a mask to communicate effectively, per SWNS. Smith said the best ways to flirt with the eyes over a face mask are the "Mona Lisa" (a subtle smirk), "side glance," (looking back seductively), "baby doll eyes" (making the eyes wider), and "intense eyes" (purposely locking eyes with another). In other tricks, "the wink," "eyebrow raise" and "clear contact" were recommended moves. Others included the "count to three" (holding eye contact for three seconds) or the more forward "three is the magic number" (looking at someone in quick succession three times), which could make your feelings even clearer, Smith suggested. For the bold (and unafraid of cliché), Smith said romantics could try their luck with an "up and down" glance-over, or try "looking away and back" to blatantly check their crush out. As Dr. Anthony Fauci recently said, it was "possible" Americans may need to wear face masks in 2022.
  7. The next-gen Ford Mustang is supposed to arrive for the 2023 model year. There aren't too many details about it yet, but new info possibly reveals the senior designer responsible for the interior and exterior styling. A user on the Mustang 6G forum found the LinkedIn profile for Aiden Chang-il Lee showing him as the person responsible for the new pony car's look. Motor1.com reached out to Ford to find out the role of a senior designer for crafting the look of a vehicle within the company. These folks contribute to a vehicle's design but aren't managing a team of people. It's a mid-level position in the hierarchy of designers. Gallery: Ford Mustang Test Mule Spy Photos Ford Mustang AWD Test Mule Side Spy Photo 12 Photos While Chang-il Lee doesn't have immediate name recognition, he's a veteran design with previous stints at General Motors and FCA (now known as Stellantis). His LinkedIn page says he worked on production details for the cabin in the 2021 GMC Yukon and Chevrolet Tahoe. He also had roles working on the interior of the 2015 Dodge Charger, 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, and the early production theme for the next-gen Jeep Grand Cherokee's cabin. Chang-il Lee previously worked at Ford between 2011 and 2012. During this stint, he was on the advanced exterior team for the 2017 Fiesta and contributed to the interior of the 2016 Taurus for the Chinese market. The new generation of the Mustang will reportedly debut in the fourth quarter of 2022 and go on sale during the following year. The new pony car will allegedly have an eight-year product cycle, rather than the original plan of six years. There are persistent rumors of the Mustang adopting an all-wheel-drive layout for the first time ever. Although, it seems unlikely this would be the only setup after decades of establishing the model as a rear-drive performance machine. Ford's product plan for the Mustang goes out to 2028 when an electric model would allegedly arrive. The available info suggests it would have a completely different platform. The timeline suggests the next-gen pony car and the EV would be available simultaneously at least for a couple of years.
  8. A US judge has dismissed a lawsuit by a Connecticut woman who argued Harvard University illegally profited from images of her enslaved ancestors. Tamara Lanier had no legal claim to the images because photographs belong to the photographer, she ruled. The pictures, commissioned in 1850, were used in attempts to prove the discredited theory that black people are inferior. Ms Lanier said she would appeal against the decision. The judge "completely missed the humanistic aspect of this", Ms Lanier told the New York Times. "We're talking about the patriarch of a family, a subject of bedtime stories, whose legacy is still denied to these people." Harvard sued over 'slave ancestor' photos The 'Underground Railroad': A secret network that helped slaves find freedom US university helps slave descendants The images, which were daguerreotypes, an early type of photograph, were taken in a studio in South Carolina. They show a man known as Renty and his daughter Delia, both stripped naked to the waist. Thought to be among the first photos of US slaves, they were commissioned by Harvard biologist Louis Agassiz in order to argue for slavery in the US. The lawsuit said that Ms Lanier verified her genealogical ties to Renty, whom she calls "Papa Renty" and grew up hearing bed time stories about. Neither Harvard nor the judge disputed this claim at trial. Ms Lanier, a retired probation officer, had asked Harvard to return the images to her family, pay unspecified damages to her and acknowledge that it was "complicit in perpetuating and justifying the institution of slavery". She accused the university of profiting illegally from Renty's image, for example by putting his picture on a book cover. Renty and his daughter image captionThe images of Renty and his daughter Delia were taken in 1850 Judge Camille Sarrouf acknowledged that the photographs were taken under "horrific circumstances" but ruled that if Renty and Delia did not own the images, then Ms Lanier did not own them either. "Fully acknowledging the continuing impact slavery has had in the United States, the law, as it currently stands, does not confer a property interest to the subject of a photograph regardless of how objectionable the photograph's origins may be," Judge Sarrouf wrote. Harvard said the photographs were "powerful visual indictments of the horrific institution of slavery". The university said it was exploring ways to make the photos "more accessible to a broader segment of the public and to tell the stories of the enslaved people that they depict".
  9. At the recent tinyML Summit 2021, Raspberry Pi co-founder Eben Upton teased the future of 'Pi Silicon' and it looks like machine learning could see a massive improvement thanks to Raspberry Pi's news in-house chip development team. It is safe to say that the Raspberry Pi Pico and its RP2040 SoC have been po[CENSORED]r. The Pico has only been on the market for a few weeks, but already has sold 250,000 units with 750,000 on back order. There is a need for more boards powered by the RP2040 and partners such as Adafruit, Pimoroni, Adafruit and Sparkfun are releasing their own hardware, many with features not found on the Pico. Image 1 of 1 Screesnhot of Eben Upton's tinyML talk Raspberry Pi's in house application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) team are working on the next iteration, and seems to be focused on lightweight accelerators for ultra low power machine learning applications. During Upton's talk at 40 minutes the slide changes and we see "Future Directions" a slide that shows three current generation 'Pi Silicon' boards, two of which are from board partners, SparkFun's MicroMod RP2040 and Arduino's Nano RP2040 Connect. The third is from ArduCam and they are working on the ArduCam Pico4ML which incorporates machine learning, camera, microphone and screen into a the Pico package. The last bullet point hints at what the future silicon could be. It may come in the form of lightweight accelerators possibly 4-8 multiply-accumulates (MACs) per clock cycle. In Upton's talk he says that it is "overwhelmingly likely that there will be some other piece of silicon from Raspberry Pi".
  10. If you haven't tried out Edge on your Windows 10 PC yet, now might be a good time to do so as Microsoft is rolling out several new features that help boost productivity and improve the way in which you browse the web. After being announced back in March of last year, the software giant is finally making Edge's vertical tabs feature generally available. With vertical tabs all of your open tabs can be viewed and managed from a pane on the left side of the browser with a single click. While Google Chrome and other browsers show your tabs above the address bar, Edge lets you clearly see the tab titles and controls in a separate pane to make it easier to find and switch between tabs regardless of how many you have open. To get started using this feature, users can click on the vertical tabs icon in the upper left corner of Edge to enable it. We've built a list of the best browsers for mobile and desktop These are the best productivity tools on the market Also check out our roundup of the best anonymous browser After receiving feedback from users that missed the hub experience in legacy Edge, Microsoft has decided to rework the history menu in its browser. Now when you go to history in Edge, it will open as a lightweight drowpdown from the toolbar instead of opening the full page view in settings. As a result, users can now easily search, open and manage their history without having to navigate away from the current page their on. Microsoft is well aware of the fact that speed matters when working from home which is why it has added a startup boost feature to Edge that maximizes your computer's performance by significantly reducing the time it takes to open the browser after a device reboot or when restarting the program. This new feature is rolling out this month and based on the company's initial tests, it will improve startup times by anywhere from 29 to 41 percent. Startup boost will be automatically enabled when it becomes available so if Edge seems to be launching faster than usual, you'll know why.
  11. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is reminding the public that face masks are still required for mass transportation in the U.S. as Texas and Mississippi lift their own coronavirus safety restrictions, including mask mandates. TSA spokesperson Lisa Farbstein shared the message on Wednesday, referencing the executive order signed by President Joe Biden in January. "TSA REMINDER: The Federal mask mandate remains in effect in transportation systems (including airports, mass transit and passenger rail), even in states that have lifted their local mask mandates," Farbstein wrote. "So if you choose to travel, TSA reminds you to please continue to wear your mask." The TSA representative also shared a graphic illustrating the correct way to wear a face mask, with the PPE lifted well over the nose and covering the mouth. As it currently stands, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requires travelers to wear the PPE when "boarding, disembarking, and for the duration of travel" across mass transit system in the U.S., per the Department of Transportation. The mandate applies to airplanes, trains, ridesharing and seafaring vessels, as well as transit hubs like airports, bus terminals, marinas, seaports, subway stations, train terminals and stations. Face masks are also required at any U.S. port of entry, or any other site that provides transportation. When reached for comment on Thursday morning, a spokesperson for the TSA reiterated that the president’s executive order, the CDC’s emergency order and the Department of Homeland Security’s national emergency determination, as well as TSA security directives and emergency amendment still require the use of face masks on all modes of public transit – by air, bus and rail. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention currently requires travelers to wear the PPE when "boarding, disembarking, and for the duration of travel" across mass transit system in the U.S. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention currently requires travelers to wear the PPE when "boarding, disembarking, and for the duration of travel" across mass transit system in the U.S. (iStock) As of Feb. 2, the TSA is requiring individuals to wear masks at security screening checkpoints across the U.S. and through commercial and public transit systems. This requisite is effective until May 11. "TSA will fully comply with the President’s Executive Orders, CDC guidance and the DHS National Emergency determination to ensure healthy and secure travel across all transportation sectors. This will help prevent further spread of COVID-19 and encourage a unified government response," Darby LaJoye, Senior Official Performing the Duties of the TSA Administrator, said in a statement shared with Fox News. "As we continue to experience impacts from this pandemic, we are committed to this measure as the right thing to do for the TSA workforce, for our industry stakeholders and for passengers." Also on Wednesday, the Federal Aviation Administration updated its Safety Alert for Operators guidance, urging airlines to continue requiring passengers to wear face masks in the high skies. CLICK HERE FOR FOX NEWS' CONTINUING CORONAVIRUS COVERAGE Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott have cited lower coronavirus case counts and an increase in vaccine accessibility as justification to revoke all state-imposed coronavirus regulations. Mississippi lifted the restrictions on March 3, with Texas set to follow on March 10.
  12. We know electrification is in Corvette's future. We've heard all kinds of rumors, found evidence in trademark and patent applications, and we've caught test vehicles that could be concealing electric powertrains. The latest insight comes from SAE.org, and if accurate, it paints a C8 future of gasoline and electric-fueled power. A little over six months ago, we reported on Chevrolet renewing its trademark for the E-Ray moniker. This has long been the expected name of the first hybrid Corvette, and this new report cites inside sources as saying it will keep the 6.2-liter V8 while adding a pair of electric motors for the front wheels. Combined output will be in the neighborhood of 600 horsepower (447 kilowatts), but perhaps the bigger news is the E-Ray replacing the Grand Sport in Corvette's hierarchy of submodels. We could know as early as 2023, when the E-Ray is said to arrive with a price tag under $100,000. Gallery: Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Spy Shots Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Spy Shots Front 11 Photos Looking further ahead, the report validates other chatter we've heard. The Z06 should debut later this year with its high-revving 5.5-liter naturally aspirated V8 making 600 hp, dubbed LT6. In theory, the E-Ray would follow, with the Corvette ZR1 getting a twin-turbocharged version of the Z06 engine, dubbed LT7 and making 850 hp (634 kW). Then in 2025 comes the Corvette Zora, the one 'Vette to rule them all with the LT7 V8 and electric motors fused to deliver a 1,000-hp (746-kW) monster. But wait, there's more. The report also backs up rumors that Chevrolet might expand the Corvette line with an all-electric SUV. The sporty people mover is allegedly being explored by the automaker with a codename of Project R, but it's apparently not a done deal just yet. We suspect outcry from Corvette purists would be quite similar to that of the Mustang crowd when the Mach-E was announced. That said, we suspect Chevrolet is watching Mach-E sales very closely to see if demand outweighs the controversy of building a four-door, five-seater Corvette.
  13. The Duke of Edinburgh has undergone a successful procedure for a pre-existing heart condition, Buckingham Palace has said. The palace said the duke would remain in hospital for treatment, rest and recuperation for a number of days. Prince Philip, 99, has already spent 16 nights in hospital. He was being treated for an infection and moved to St Bartholomew's Hospital in London on Monday for tests and observation on his heart condition. Buckingham Palace said the procedure took place on Wednesday. Prince Philip moves hospital for further treatment Prince Philip 'slightly improving', says Camilla Royal Family tree and line of succession In 2011, Prince Philip was taken to hospital by helicopter from Sandringham after suffering chest pains as the royal family was preparing for Christmas. He was treated for a blocked coronary artery at Papworth Hospital in Cambridgeshire and had a stent fitted. The duke, who turns 100 in June, travelled by car from Windsor to King Edward VII's hospital in Marylebone, central London, on 16 February as a precaution after feeling unwell. The exact reason for his initial admission was not disclosed, but it was not related to coronavirus. On Monday, Buckingham Palace announced he had been transferred to Barts by ambulance. 14. Google has announced that the second generation of open source UI development platform Flutter has entered general availability, with support for desktop and web apps. Flutter is a tool that helps developers build applications that function equally well on multiple platforms, without the hassle of writing bespoke code for each operating system. When the service was first made available in 2018, it offered support for Android and iOS apps only. In the interim, Google has drip-fed users with beta releases that added support for web apps, macOS, Linux, Windows and more, but these iterations were not widely available, nor designed for fully blown commercial applications. We've built a list of the best Python online courses out there Here's our list of the best laptops for programmers right now Check out our rundown of the best JavaScript online courses available With the release of Flutter 2.0, however, Google has rolled out full support for these additional operating systems to all users. From largely the same shared codebase, developers can now build applications that run as if native on desktop platforms, as well as on mobile. Courtesy of contributions from Microsoft, Flutter 2.0 also includes support for foldable devices, which are expected to grow in po[CENSORED]rity in the years to come. Google Flutter 2.0 With the second generation of Flutter, Google is hoping to deliver on a long-held ambition among developers: write once, run anywhere (or WORA). The unique complexities of each platform - from screen size and methods of user interaction to the programming language on which they are built - have meant WORA has been a fanciful concept, until now. “Our goal is to fundamentally shift how developers think about building apps, starting not with the platform you’re targeting, but rather with the experience you want to create,” said Google in a blog post. “In Flutter 2, we’ve broadened Flutter from a mobile framework to a portable framework, unleashing your apps to run on a wide variety of different platforms with little or no change.” Built around Google’s own Dart programming language, Flutter is already responsible for more than 150,000 Play Store apps. Google also leans on the platform to build out its own suite of products, including Analytics, Ads, Shopping, Stadia and more. While a traditional approach to software development will likely remain the favored strategy in the context of more complex enterprise applications, Flutter will likely save developers plenty of blood, sweat and tears.
  15. A well-known leaker with a stellar track record believes that Nvidia is planning to extend its Ethereum mining limiter, currently found in the RTX 3060 12GB, into the rumored RTX 3080 Ti. VideoCardz has also confirmed that Nvidia informed AIB partners that the mining limiter would be coming to the RTX 3080 Ti, making rumors for the existence of the RTX 3080 Ti even more likely. There's also a chance this limiter could be coming to the rumored RTX 3070 Ti, as well. This news should come as no surprise to anyone, as Nvidia has already introduced new mining-specific graphics cards that will arrive in the next few months. Now it is in Nvidia's best interests, from a business perspective, to purposefully nerf future RTX 30-series GPUs hashrates to incentivize miners to grab Nvidia's mining-specific GPUs. Luckily for some people, Nvidia's "older" RTX 30 series GPUs like the RTX 3090, 3080, 3070, and 3060 Ti will not receive the mining limiter. However, this might change soon, depending on Nvidia's plans. But if an RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti are slated to come out later this year, Nvidia could be killing off the vanilla RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 to make way for the more powerful SKUs. If so, it wouldn't make much sense to go through all the extra effort of nerfing hash rates on the older Ampere GPUs (besides the 3060 TI) if they are to be discontinued anyway.
  16. The Climb 2 (Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest 2 [reviewed]) Developer: Crytek Publisher: Crytek Released: March 4, 2021 MSRP: $29.99 There aren't any convoluted modes or parameters in The Climb 2. You're literally climbing up a bunch of jungle gyms either for fun, or for time trial bragging rights. There's five biomes: Alps, Bay, Canyon, City, and North. From there, the environments branch out into three levels (easy, medium, hard), and then two modes (casual, standard). There's 15 jungle gyms to climb and all of them are worth playing at least once. The main appeal of the original returns, in that it isn't always apparent where you're supposed to go. Sometimes you might need to grab a ledge and "peek" around a corner to see the next vantage point. Or, you could look up or down to get a better view. VR is essential to the core of the game and it's better for it. It's puzzly! I love that about it. The Climb 2 also mixes things up with crumbling grips (think Mario's disappearing ledges), sharp grips (which pierce you and mess with your stamina meter), and grips you need to clean off before grabbing. When you add in the need to constantly grab onto objects with both hands and chalk (a simple button press, which requires a free hand), it gets real strategic real fast. One of the biggest wins is the "half press technique." Making good use of the pressure triggers on the Oculus Touch remotes (still among the best VR controllers in the industry), you can "half" press in to maintain a zen-like balance without overexerting yourself. As the tutorial reminds us it is possible to fully play the game without it, but hardcore speedrunners will want to master it. Each stage was fun to play, but the city setting really takes the cake for me. In fact, if Crytek is interested in returning to this IP roughly every five years, make the next one all cityscapes; or give me some DLC. Point blank the city environments are a blast to tussle through, as the team really gets creative here with some of the obstacles and logic/pathing puzzles. It's especially harrowing to look down and see traffic bustling below you, or have a bird catapult in front of your face on a high ledge. Despite being way more intuitive, The Climb 2 still hasn’t fully escaped the troubles of the original. It’s a physically intense game which often makes you crane your neck to play, and that can cause some discomfort. And while the level design is far less frustrating than that of its predecessor’s, there will still often be moments where you get your head stuck inside of a wall, or your avatar’s full body will block you from making an obvious jump, causing you to fall to your death. As with the original, you can customize your avatar’s hands, but there really isn’t much of an incentive to do so. You can’t even show off the stuff you’ve earned to other players, and vice versa. With that need for extra detail the engine falters a bit (some objects, like flowers on an awning, or rough, visually), but the main things like buildings and grips hold together. Far away fanfare like helicopters taking off and landing and ambient noises add to the allure of the city levels. In any case, it's very satisfying to look back and see what you've conquered. The Climb 2 is light on content beyond the main draw, as "glove and accessory unlocks" are not going to be enough to satisfy everyone once they've finished all the stages. But like the original, I'm going to be returning to it every time I get the itch to climb something. Virtually. As tense as it can be, the moment-to-moment gameplay of The Climb 2 is meditative in its simplicity. Just like in the original, its core game mode – called the Professional mode – is about balancing speed and stamina. Trying to hold a grip with one hand can cause you to lose too much stamina and slip, but you can press your Touch controller’s trigger button halfway to hold on longer and restore stamina mid-climb, or you can apply chalk to your hands to make them retain more stamina and restore stamina much faster. These are all strategies that carry over from the original game, but they feel so much smoother now. For instance, maintaining a half-grip is now more forgiving and intuitive. Chalking your hands is also much quicker and far less clunky. As a result, it’s much easier to get into a groove in The Climb 2. Making things even more interesting, most of the maps now have several different pathways that you can take to reach your goal. They’re also left open to interpretation: if you see an opening to take a shortcut by, for example, jumping directly to a distant ledge instead of climbing towards it, you can probably do it. The other big upgrade is that a vastly improved physics system means that you’ll get to move across objects and obstacles that have some physical reactivity as opposed to the strictly static world of the original. You’ll jump between hanging tents, climb across ropes, and hang onto scaffolding for dear life as it bounces around in response to your weight. This introduces a ton of flavor to the gameplay. What makes it work is that there’s a refreshing amount of diversity. Each level, even within the same zone, has a completely different backdrop and art style, and map layouts are all notably different from what came before. For example, one of the early levels in the City area has you climbing along the outsides of skyscrapers in broad daylight, whereas the next level starkly contrasts that by having you jump between moving elevators with gorgeous city lights glimmering across the horizon at night. Later, you climb through mountainous crevasces while evading feral wolves, then you’re leaping between hanging baggage containers, and even climbing up the side of a giant wind turbine. It all looks fantastic, and the constant change in backdrop keeps things feeling fresh and interesting throughout. Climbing is one of those things that works really well in VR with motion controls, but rarely gets more than a moment to shine. The Climb 2, though, is all about it. This is developer Crytek’s second iteration on the idea of scaling large, vertical obstacles, and it’s a major improvement over the original Oculus Rift launch game in terms of controls and level design. And even though climbing sounds pretty basic on its own, the simulated sensation of dizzying heights makes the tension feel real – and The Climb 2 comes with a bump in graphics that shows off what the Oculus Quest 2 can really do when it’s running on all cylinders. Things start off pretty simple. Once you get through its brief tutorial, you’re allowed to swing (pun intended) between any of its five main zones, and within each of those are three different levels that unlock as you beat the last one. Thankfully, it does away with the original’s arbitrary level-gating system that felt entirely out of place and limited your ability to explore early on. ------------------------------------------- System Requirments ------------------------------------------ Minimum : OS: Win 7 64 Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz / AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 4870 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 System Memory: 4 GB RAM Storage: 7 GB Hard drive space DirectX 11 Compatible Graphics Card ----------------------------------------------- Recommended ---------------------------------------------- OS: Win 7 64 Processor: Intel Core i7-3770K 4-Core 3.5GHz / AMD FX-4350 Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 280X or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 System Memory: 8 GB RAM Storage: 7 GB Hard drive space -----------------------------------------

  22. Previewing files is about to get a whole lot easier for Office 365 users as Microsoft has added a new toggle to Edge that allows users to to open presentations, spreadsheets and documents right from its browser. First discovered by Reddit user Leopeva64-2, the new toggle is currently available in Canary builds of the software giant's browser which means that Stable and Beta Edge users won't be able to try it out just yet. Once enabled, clicking on an Office file will open it in a new tab where users will be able to read the file without Edge downloading it first. However, there is also an option to download the file for those who want a copy saved on their device as well as an option to save it to OneDrive. Users will even be able to print Office files without downloading them directly from Edge. We've built a list of the best browsers available These are the best free office software solutions on the market Also check out our roundup of the best productivity tools Essentially this new feature will work in a similar way to how Edge and other browsers open PDF files which can be previewed without having to download them. Office Viewer toggle Edge Canary users that want to test out this new feature for themselves can find the new Office Viewer toggle by going to Settings > Downloads in their browser. Once at the Downloads page, you'll see a toggle called 'Quickly view Office files on the web using Office Viewer'. Microsoft has also added another new feature to Edge Canary that allows users to sort their Collections by recently used, date created and name. Downloading every file you need to look at while working from home can take up unnecessary space on your hard drive which is why this new feature will likely be welcomed by Edge users once it gets incorporated into a stable build of the browser.
