  2. It seems that Ford is moving full steam ahead with the electrification of its global model lineup. Just yesterday, the automaker announced its plans to sell only electric passenger cars in Europe from 2030. Before that, the brand will electrify its entire range on the continent by the middle of 2026, and apparently, preparations for the next-gen EVs are already underway in the United States as well. CarsDirect reports Ford has sent a letter to its US dealers, informing them they’ll have to make an investment in order to receive what the brand calls “next-generation” EV certification. The company estimates every dealer interested in selling Ford’s new electric vehicles will have to invest roughly $35,000. Initially, the investment will be optional for most dealers around the country. The estimated figure might change as it is an early calculation, covering chargers, service equipment, and installation. Interested dealers reportedly have to demonstrate a working 240V charging station and order necessary service equipment by the end of April this year. It’s not clear whether dealers will have to invest $35,000 in order to get certification from Ford to sell the Mustang Mach-E, though CarsDirect suggests this will be the case. More importantly, the upcoming electric version of the country’s most po[CENSORED]r vehicle, the F-150, is considered a next-gen electric vehicle, which means it’ll require the new certification.CarsDirect notes that $35,000 shouldn’t really be a shock to any dealer interested in getting the upcoming crop of all-electric Fords. Still, there might be smaller dealers who are not really interested in offering zero-emission cars as long as they have the F-150, Mustang, and a few other combustion-powered models on sale.
  3. When you have oily skin, you know that putting together a suitable makeup kit is no mean feat. But, having adequate knowledge about what works best for your skin type can help you with the process and also make the skin healthy and glowing. After all, applying makeup should be an enjoyable experience. Below, Shantal Mujumdar, Co-Founder of IS YOU, a homegrown skincare brand, shares some toxic ingredients you need to steer clear of in your makeup products. Check them out and make sure to bookmark the same! Whenever an oily skin type sees the word ‘oil’ in the ingredient list of their product, they frantically look for an ‘oil-free’ option. But one must understand that not all oils clog the skin pores. Majumdar says, “Those with oily skin need to stay away from oils that have high oleic content such as coconut, camellia and hazelnut oil which sits on the surface of the skin, thus clogging pores. Instead, go for oils that have a higher linoleic content, such as rosehip oil.” Occlusive emollients work great for dry skin but offer no assistance to oily skin. This is because not only are they greasy in nature, they can also feel heavy and sticky. “Bid a firm goodbye to thick moisturisers and lotions, and instead embrace gel or water-based moisturizers. These will help hydrate your pores and skin sans an oily streak,” she adds. This is one ingredient all oily-skin types should ditch because it leads to further production of oil in your pores. Alcohol is mostly found in toners and if you are looking to strictly follow the CTM routine, then Majumdar suggests adding aloe vera or pure rose toners to help calm the pores and skin. Most soaps contain sodium chloride and while it is not a harmful ingredient, it can affect your facial skin. Majumdar adds: When used on oily skin, the salt clogs the pores and causes pimples. Furthermore, salt also makes the sebum much harder. Most soaps contain sodium chloride and while it is not a harmful ingredient, it can affect your facial skin. While this might work out for many but those with oily skin and acne-prone pores will only suffer. Instead, try clean beauty products made from natural and organic colours that will keep your skin calm.
  4. Instagram influencer Dananeer Mobeen on Wednesday advised her fans and followers against being jealous of one another. Taking to her Instagram story, the influencer urged people to be happy for others whenever they achieve success or happiness in life. "Izzat aur zillat sirf Allah ke hath may hai, jisko chahay jab de [Honour and dishonour is in the hands of Allah, He can give to whoever He wishes]," she wrote on Instagram. Dananeer said that everyone had their own destiny and it wasn't possible for anyone to steal another person's fortune or favour. "Your good intentions will come in handy for you in future," she wrote. The influencer, however, clarified that she was just sharing a random message and that nothing untoward had happened. "It was just a thought that I wanted to share with you guys," she wrote. "I've received an abundance of love ever since it all started," Dananeer added. Last week, the young influencer's video had gone viral and had been re-shared thousands of times across social media platforms like Twitter. Yeh hamari car hei aur yeh hum hein, aur yeh hamari parrrty horahi hei" [This is our car, this is us, and this is our party], she could be seen saying in the video. The viral video has been recreated hundreds of times with #pawrihoraihai trending on Twitter for a few days. Yashraj Mukhate recreates viral song After taking Pakistani social media by storm, the trend #PawriHoriHai (parrrty ho rahi hai) has gone across the border and to everyone's delight, it has turned into a catchy song. Yashraj Mukhate, who is po[CENSORED]r for turning viral videos and clips from TV shows and movies into upbeat, funny songs, had also turned #PawriHoriHai into a catchy number. “From today, I am not going to party, but I will 'pawri' because party won't be as fun as pawri," Mukhate wrote in Roman Urdu on Instagram.

  6. In early February, Ford finally unveiled the new F-150 Raptor. For now, the truck is available only with a V6 engine but a V8 option will join the range next year. Sales won’t begin until this summer with prices starting at around the $60,000 mark (or so we suppose), which means the automaker has several months to make sure everything is in top form before the sales kick off. First, the wheels are new. The official press photos of the new Raptor showed black wheels with six V-shaped spokes and these new rims follow a similar design. The spokes are thicker though and feature what looks like a diamond-cut finish, creating a more premium overall look. The stylish wheels are wrapped in 35-inch tires - not the giant 37-inchers, which forced the automaker to modify its production lines. Also worth noting is that this Raptor test vehicle features what appears to be a graphics package. At the front, it includes fat black stripes on the hood but the situation is more interesting at the back. On the side of the cargo bed, there’s a more interesting pattern with big Raptor lettering. Below that, the truck features the letters FP (for Ford Performance), the US flag, and the number 03, designating this is the third generation of the performance truck. This new color scheme probably suggests the new Raptor will be available with several individualization options. We hope we will learn more very soon.
  7. Film-maker Karan Johar has announced the second talent who join his Dharma Cornerstone Agency. On Tuesday, Bulbbul's Triptii Dimri was introduced as the first. Now, Guilty actor Gurfateh Pirzada has joined the Dharma family as DCA talent, reported Bollywood Hungama. Johar shared an introduction video and wrote, "Proud to introduce you to the newest addition to the DCA Squad. Meet Gurfateh Pirzada - bold, suave and with a gaze that'll leave you entranced. He's delivered a powerful performance in Guilty and we can’t wait to see him in action again." However, it has come to our attention that the new talent bears an uncanny resemblance to our very own Ahad Raza Mir. Soon to say, we surely claim that Bollywood has found a doppelganger of the Yeh Dil Mera star. As soon as Pirzada’s Guilty made it to the top charts, Pakistani fans had been drooling over the newcomer, stating him as “Indian twin” of Mir all over social media. While many contemplate the spontaneous alikeness, one surely questions whether it’s the way it is or one is purely inspired by the Ehd-e-Wafa actor. In the splitting image, fans had noticed that Pirzada seems to dress the same way as the 27-year-old actor.
  8. RAWALPINDI: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday regretted that judicial activism in the past set back Pakistan's technological progress. The minister was speaking at the International Media Conference held at a private university where he lamented that Pakistan's relations with digital media companies deteriorated due to some court decisions taken in 2014. Chaudhry lamented the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority's decision to block TikTok last year. "I plead with judges not to hear cases relating to digital media," he said. Referring to some universities with strict dressing codes, Chaudhry advised against enforcing strict measures. "Those who want to wear jeans should be able to wear jeans. Others who want to take an abaya should be able allowed to do so," he said. The minister highlighted that if Pakistan does not alter its state policies, it will never be able to attract foreign investment. "Political and economic independence moulds an individual's life," he said. Chaudhry advised students to choose the career they desire. "Those who want to study should study, but others who want to play video games should do that as well," he said. Gone are the days when a person excelled in life only if they studied hard, he said. "Nowadays, you find even a 20-year-old is a billionaire," the minister noted. Talking about the country's power woes, he said that Pakistan was generating electricity but encountering problems in its distribution. TikTok, books do not pose danger to Islam in Pakistan: Fawad Chaudhry The minister has been known for advocating technological progress in the country and speaking out against bans on social media websites and apps. Last year, Chaudhry had spoken out when the Punjab Assembly passed the Tahaffuz-e-Bunyad-e-Islam Bill. "This is a dangerous attitude that will throw us into a vicious circle of sectarian and religious extremism," he had said. "In Pakistan, Islam is neither threatened by TikTok nor books." The minister had added that Pakistan, on the other hand, was threatened by sectarian divisions and extremism. His statement came a few months after the PTA gave a warning to TikTok and video streaming app Bigo, claiming that it had received a "number of complaints ... from different segments of the society against immoral, obscene and vulgar content" on these apps.

  15. Unlike the cab-over Porter (H-100) truck only sold in some markets, the Santa Cruz will be a global pickup from Hyundai. It’s not going to have anything in common with the no-frills Porter as it will be a fancier lifestyle utility vehicle based on the latest-generation Tucson. You can already tell it’s related to the compact crossover by looking at the polarizing design details peeking through the camouflage. Our spies have caught a near-production prototype of the Santa Cruz undergoing final testing on a frozen lake in Finland. Hyundai is stubbornly keeping the full camo attire even though we’re likely only months away from the world premiere. Despite the disguise, you can easily tell the bed is quite small, thus making the little truck a competitor to the recently updated Honda Ridgeline and the forthcoming Ford Maverick. We’re expecting the oily bits to be largely inherited from the crossover, but with the added practicality of a bed. However, the 2022 Santa Cruze will be less of a workhorse and more of a family-oriented truck for outdoorsy folks. Should you want something with more utility from Hyundai, head of global design SangYup Lee said in an interview last year the company already has "many different possible options” for a bigger truck. With production commencing later this year, the world premiere is probably scheduled to take place in the coming months. The unibody Santa Cruz has been confirmed for the US market where it’s going to be a 2022MY, much like the aforementioned Ford Maverick. The unibody Santa Cruz has been confirmed for the US market where it’s going to be a 2022MY, much like the aforementioned Ford Maverick. Entering series production later this year at the Hyundai’s Montgomery, Alabama assembly plant, the first-ever Santa Cruz seems to be virtually ready to lose the camouflage. From the snazzy wheels and Tucson-borrowed side mirrors to the sunroof and intricate grille, the little truck must be getting ready for its world premiere. We do notice some of the exterior trim on the C-pillar is missing, but other than that, the South Korean ute is ready for prime time. While the namesake concept unveiled six years ago (yes, it debuted at the 2015 NAIAS) had an extended cab layout with rear-hinged “suicide” doors, the production version appears to be a more practical crew cab with all doors hinged at the front. Hyundai’s design sure has changed a lot since the concept made its debut in Detroit many moons ago, so it won’t look anything like the show truck. Instead, the prototype is giving us the impression of a Tucson with a bed.
  16. Dia Mirza is married to Vaibhav Rekhi, and the pictures from their intimate wedding ceremony — held on February 15 in Mumbai — have been melting our hearts. While the wedding was largely a hush-hush affair attended by only close family and friends including actor Aditi Rao Hydari, the pictures from the venue soon found their way to social media and have been trending ever since. Now, the Thappad actor herself took to Instagram — for the first time post her wedding — to share how she feels. In a series of posts that comprise gorgeous pictures from the beautiful wedding, she shared: “Love is a full-circle that we call home. And what a miracle it is to hear its knock, open the door, and be found by it. ”“Sharing this moment of completion and joy with you..my extended family. May all puzzles find their missing pieces, may all hearts heal and may the miracle of love continue to unfold all around us,” she added. All the pictures had the hashtag: #SunsetKeDiVaNe, which was created for the wedding.
  17. ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's passport will expire tonight, said Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed on Tuesday. The minister was speaking at a news conference where he said that as a rule, the person whose name is on the ECL cannot be issued a new passport nor can his existing passport be renewed. However, Rasheed said that if the former prime minister wanted to return to Pakistan, a permission will be granted to him within 72 hours. "No one is stopping Nawaz Sharif from returning to Pakistan," said the minister. He criticised the former prime minister for taking "unfair advantage" of the high court's decision to let him seek medical treatment abroad. Rasheed said that Sharif had "deceived" everyone by claiming that he needed to go abroad for medical treatment but had not sought it. The Awami Muslim League chief said that all he could do about the entire matter is issue the PML-N leader travel documents. "That is all I can do," he said. The interior minister, however, admitted that he was among those in the cabinet who voted in favour of letting Sharif go abroad to seek medical treatment. "I won't lie, I was among those who voted for him to be allowed to fly abroad," he said. " The PTI government has already approached UK authorities to extradite Nawaz Sharif. Special Assistant to PM Imran Khan on Accountability Shahzad Akbar had said earlier that it is up to the British government to decide on the extradition of the former premier. The PML-N supremo was granted an eight-week bail on medical grounds in October 2019 and a month later, he was allowed to travel abroad for treatment for four weeks. The government maintains that Nawaz was permitted on condition that he would share details of the medical treatment which he didn't opt for.
