  1. Three months, three keyboards. It's been interesting and enlightening, having the chance to review some of the gaming keyboards on offer from some of the biggest brands around. Corsair's offering was undeniably expensive but offered as much as you could expect for the price, at the time seeming impossible to rival. The SteelSeries offering, while not the top of their range, was affordable and more than enough proof that hybrid and a smaller price point doesn't have to result in a large sacrifice. Now comes the Logitech G815 and this is something uniquely special. The second you open the box, you know there's something different about the Logitech G815. The keyboard is wafer-thin but sacrifices nothing of the benefits one can get with the meatier keyboards. The satisfaction of pushing down on a mechanical key, the responding feedback you come to expect from a keyboard. One would think this could be missing with a keyboard that is just 22mm in height (compared this to the Corsair at 36mm and the SteelSeries at 40.5mm), "not so", replies Logitech. Logitech, with this keyboard, has placed in their GL low-profile switches that have a super low travel distance of 2.7mm. As you're clattering away on the keyboard, you actually get the sense that you're typing quicker. It's illusory, let's be honest about that. Still, there's a deep sense of satisfaction that comes with using something so sleek and simple, something that feels like it shouldn't be as small as it is, but is ultimately an excellently durable piece of kit. I've mentioned about the Logitech G815 being 'small'. This is true in that it lacks height, but that doesn't mean it's small in any other way. This is a full-sized keyboard, containing number keys as well as several circular rubber keys. Four of these choose between profiles that can be set up via the Logitech G-Hub software. The other circular keys allow you to switch between the intensity of the RGB lighting and to flick over to game mode, a mode that is further customised using G-Hub to let you turn off certain keys to prevent accidental activations. Finally, the other circular rubber keys are the media keys. These media keys are joined by a scroll wheel. Now, the function of all of these are as good as you could expect but they feel distinctly out of place in what is a premium keyboard that feels solid everywhere else. There's no feedback on from the rubber keys, nor is there any resistance, click or anything from the audio wheel. This sadly feels like an oversight, even cheap, on a keyboard that feels premium in every other way.
  2. Actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020 due to suicide. The late actor had a fascination for cars and bikes and was a proud owner of many fancy vehicles. Late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was in possession of a beautiful mind. He had great love for astrophysics, had bought a land on the moon and had an unparalleled acting talent. However, apart from being a genius at mind, the actor was also fascination with bikes and luxury cars. Recently, a picture from 2006 resurfaced online where Sushant can be seen sitting on a yellow sports bike. This was the first ever bike that he bought from his hard earned money. While in college, the Kedarnath actor used to give tuition lessons to students aiming to get admitted in engineering courses. He bought this Honda bike for the earnings through the tuitions. In the throwback, Sushant can be seen wearing a black shirt, a pair of jeans and glasses as he smiles up at the camera with a helmet resting on his hand. Shared on his Facebook account in 2016, the actor had written in the caption that the bike was his first vehicular possession. The caption read, “#collegedays #2006 first bike I bought from the money I earned by giving tuitions to aspiring engineering students. Some things make u feel sooooo good.”
  3. A top federal prosecutor has issued a statement saying he has not resigned, despite the US justice department announcing he was stepping down. Geoffrey Berman, the US Attorney in Manhattan, said he learned he was "stepping down" in a press release issued by US Attorney-General William Barr on Friday evening. Mr Barr gave no reason for the move. He said Securities and Exchange Commission chairman Jay Clayton would be nominated to succeed Mr Berman. Mr Berman has overseen the prosecution of a number of US President Donald Trump's associates since he took office in 2018. They include President Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen, who has served a prison sentence for lying to Congress, the US legislature, and election campaign finance fraud. Mr Berman's department has also been investigating the conduct of Rudy Giuliani, Mr Trump's current personal lawyer. He is also leading the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and who earlier this month accused Prince Andrew of "shutting the door" on his probe.
  4. Managing your online accounts effectively can sometimes prove challenging, but now that many of us are working from home as a result of the pandemic, doing so has become even more important. The key to effectively securing your online accounts, whether personal or corporate, lies in enlisting the right tools and services. Using a leading password manager, for example, allows you to organize your tangled web of online accounts and ensures each of them is as well-protected as possible. There are plenty of password managers out there to choose from, but with Keeper Security’s latest discounts, protecting yourself against password-related cyberattacks has become a whole lot cheaper.

  6. China has charged two Canadians with spying, more than 18 months after they were detained. Michael Kovrig, a former diplomat, and Michael Spavor, a businessman, have been held in China since December 2018. Their arrest came just days after Meng Wanzhou - an executive of the Chinese giant Huawei - was detained in Vancouver, at the request of the US. Canada called the arrests "arbitrary", but China denies they were retaliation for Ms Meng's detention. Both men have been charged with "spying on national secrets" and providing intelligence for "outside entities". China's court system is completely controlled by the Communist Party and has an almost 100% conviction rate once defendants are charged, notes the BBC's Stephen McDonell in Beijing
  7. Intel has demonstrated the performance of its 10nm Tiger Lake CPUs with Xe GPU in Battlefield V. A short section of the game was shown running on the Tiger Lake CPU but what makes this more interesting is the fact that Intel also shared the settings of the game and the performance during the demo. Intel's Tiger Lake CPU With Xe Graphics Runs Battlefield V at 1080p 30 FPS & High Settings Using Early Drivers Ryan Shrout, Intel's Chief Performance Strategist, posted the short demo of the game running on an unreleased 11th Generation Tiger Lake CPU based laptop. The game was running at 1080p at the high graphics quality preset (DirectX 11). During the entirety of the video, the game can be seen averaging around 30 FPS which is a solid performance for an integrated GPU. Ryan mentioned that the game was tested with early drivers & software so there's still room for improvement before the finalized variants ship in the coming months.
  8. Huma Qureshi, on Wednesday, took to Instagram to share significant understanding and awareness around mental illness. In the long note, she penned, Huma voiced her outlook on the conduct of media and media handlers. To prevent any further spark and elaborate discussion, she shared a link to WHO's guidelines regarding issues of suicide. Speaking about late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, she said: “Whether anyone knew him or not, there is no escaping that this has shaken all of us up…” She further slammed all those who are busy floating their theories and statements post Rajput’s demise and asked who gave them the right to do so. Reacting to the images and videos of the late actor and his bereaved family circulated across social media, the Gangs of Wasseypur actress pleaded the media outlets not to splash sensitive visuals of her family in case anything happened to her. Huma highlighted that depression can affect anyone and it is important to have 'real conversations'. She wrote alongside the post, “Guys , If you can’t say or do anything positive then please stop spreading hate and speculation on social media !! The world has enough pain already. We are sorry #Sushant for this circus and to his family and loved ones all I can say are the inadequate words - We are sorry for your loss (sic.)”
  9. Burundi's newly elected president, Evariste Ndayishimiye, has been sworn in two months earlier than planned. Attendees had been told to arrive early to allow time for coronavirus precautions such as hand-washing and temperature checks, AFP reports. The fast-tracked ceremony comes after his predecessor Pierre Nkurunziza died suddenly last week. Mr Ndayishimiye is a former rebel leader, like Mr Nkurunziza. He was backed by his predecessor and was declared the winner of May's presidential election, which the opposition said was rigged. Mr Nkurunziza died aged 55 on 8 June after suffering a cardiac arrest, the government said. There are unconfirmed reports that he was suffering from Covid-19. After 15 years in power, Mr Nkurunziza was due to step down in August. According to Burundi's constitution, if the head of state dies in office then the president of the national assembly, currently Pascal Nyabenda, should succeed him. But after a ruling by Burundi's Constitutional Court, Mr Ndayishimiye's inauguration in the capital, Gitega, was brought forward.

The new "Summer Passing" event, which begins Thursday, will add four "special heroes" to the game's roster, each representing 2004 Game Boy Advance release Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Available to check out in the new trailer below, this week's drop will see the arrival of antagonistic Flurospar Selena, handsome mercenary Joshua, mage-in-training Lute, and finally a new "Harmonized Hero" character in the form of Mia and Masked Marth. All of these roster additions are rocking regal beachwear, equally appropriate for soaking up the rays or fighting to the death
  15. Zoom is developing technology to block users based on their geographic location The video communications platform Zoom is currently working on technology that will allow it to block certain users from meetings. The move comes after the US-based firm faced criticism for shutting down the accounts of three prominent human rights activists who were trying to commemorate the anniversary of Tienanmen Square. As reported by Forbes, Zoom shut down the meetings and suspended or terminated the host accounts after it discovered that people from mainland China were participating.
  16. Word out of Taiwan is that AMD has decided to delay the launch of its Zen 3 based Ryzen 4000 CPU series from September 2020 to early 2021. This is not because of any technical difficulty but simply due to consistently strong demand for Ryzen 3000 series and lack of competition from Intel. Considering the magnitude of this leak and because it contradicts earlier reports, we have marked this post as a rumor. Caution is advised. That said, Digitimes is one of the most reliable newspapers in Taiwan when it comes to tech and has extensive industry sources so this might just turn out to be true regardless. AMD has delayed the launch of its 7nm EUV based 'Zen 3' Ryzen 4000 CPUs to early 2021 according to Taiwan's biggest technology newspaper According to earlier reports (and the official roadmap), AMD was planning to shift to the 7nm EUV process from TSMC with its Zen 3 architecture by the end of the year. This would have absolutely cemented its place in the x86 market and led to significantly increased market share. It would also have made Intel offering completely uncompetitive (at current pricing) as its 10nm HEDT parts aren't expected to ship this year. Interestingly, Digitimes believes that Intel will not be able to ship 10nm in volume this year either and because of this AMD will be delaying their 7nm EUV launch to CES 2021.
  17. North Korea has blown up its joint liaison office with the South near the border town of Kaesong, both sides have confirmed. The move comes just hours after the North renewed threats of military action at the Korean border. The destroyed site, which is in the North's territory, was opened in 2018 to help the two Koreas - technically in a state of war - to communicate. The liaison office has been empty since January due to Covid-19 restrictions. Tensions between North and South Korea have been escalating for weeks, prompted by defector groups in the South sending propaganda across the border. North Korea's state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), using characteristically emphatic language, said the action reflected "the mindset of the enraged people to surely force human scum and those, who have sheltered the scum, to pay dearly for their crimes". The North Korean leader's sister, Kim Yo-jong - considered a close and powerful ally - threatened to demolish the office in a statement at the weekend. Her brother, Kim Jong-un, has ruled North Korea as Supreme Leader since 2011. South Korea's Unification Ministry in Seoul confirmed that at 14:49 local time (05:49 GMT) there was an explosion.

  21. It's very white and, uhh, futuristic-looking? It's sitting upright so we can see all those curvy angles. Rotate the image 90-degrees (or your head) and you see what it looks like lying down. Also, those guesses about a white controller hinting at a white base model were accurate. There's one more tidbit about launch models. The PS5 will come in a standard edition and a Digital Edition. The Digital Edition doesn't have a disc drive, meaning that all games and media it plays have to be downloaded. It'll presumably be a little cheaper. However, Sony stopped just short of giving us a price or a launch date. It seems Sony and Microsoft are still playing chicken when it comes to giving away those key strategic details.
  22. Trend Micro has made the decision to remove the Privacy Browser from its Dr Safety Android security suite after a reoccurring flaw was discovered in its software. As reported by The Register, the vulnerability, which could be abused to trick users into believing that malicious web pages were legitimate, was first discovered by security consultant Dhiraj Mishra who responsibly reported it to the company back in April. If exploited by an attacker, the bug could be used to alter the address bar on pages viewed in Trend Micro's Privacy Browser. For example, a phishing page designed to steal users' banking credentials could rewrite the URL bar to show the bank's real domain name as opposed to the URL used by the attackers.
  23. NVIDIA is planning to introduce a revolutionary new idea involving a traversal coprocessor and a dual-sided PCB with its RTX 3090 GPU (and family) according to a video by Coreteks. What this essentially means (if it turns out to be true) is that the upcoming graphics cards like the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 will feature a dual-sided PCB with the GPU core on one side and a second co-processor on the other side. I do want to make it clear that I have no idea if this is true or not and it is only being posted because it has technical merit and Coreteks has proven to be reliable in the past. All that said, this post is still very much a rumor and copious amounts of salt, while not good for your health, are highly recommended. NVIDIA's RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 to have dual-sided PCBs with a traversal coprocessor? In the video Coreteks goes over the unique new design of the RTX 3000 series and how that is something that actually hints at his conclusion. Keep in mind that Igor has already confirmed that the heatsink we saw was part of the DVT or Design Validation Test and it is just one among 2-3 designs that NVIDIA is looking into. Even if NVIDIA changes the design slightly however, it is still weak evidence of something different going on this time around.
  24. South Africa's president says it has been a "dark and shameful week" for his country following a surge in violence against women. Cyril Ramaphosa's remarks come after several femicides, including one woman who was eight months pregnant and found stabbed and hanging from a tree. He noted they had occurred since some coronavirus restrictions were lifted, including a ban on the sale of alcohol. The culture of silence around gender-based violence had to end, he said. "Gender-based violence thrives in a climate of silence. With our silence, by looking the other way because we believe it is a personal or family matter, we become complicit in this most insidious of crimes," President Ramaphosa said. As many as 51% of women in South Africa had experienced violence at the hands of someone they were in a relationship with, the president's statement said. Mr Ramaphosa condemned the brutality of recent killings, naming three of the victims, two of whom have become the subject of Twitter campaigns calling for justice:
