Lamborghini and Ducati are staying in the VW Group family after the company's supervisory board voted today, which also approved to move Bentley under Audi's control. The reorganization came after months of rumors had suggested that the conglomerate would jettison the two Italian companies in search of manufacturing and production efficiencies. There were even rumors that VW would sell Bentley, too. However, none of those scenarios are true. Instead, Audi will take over management responsibilities for Bentley beginning on March 1, 2021. According to the board, the restructuring will allow the two to find synergies in their electrification strategies. The company is looking to reduce fixed costs, something the board voted to decrease by 5 percent by 2023 while reducing material costs by 7 percent in the next two years. The board didn't have much to say about the two Italian brands other than that they will "remain part" of VW Group. Last month, a report suggested that Lamborghini and Ducati, along with Italdesign, could be rolled into a single organization. At the time, VW CEO Herbert Diess said that the company would bring the three "into a legal structure." That could still happen as Diess had said it's a slower process; however, it hasn't happened yet. Also, last month, VW Group named Stephan Winkelmann, Bugatti president, CEO of Lamborghini, returning to a company he led from 2005 to 2016. The reorganization should help Lamborghini find its way through the next decade as electrification becomes the go-to powertrain for more and more makes and models. However, the EV onslaught won't come to Lamborghini or Bugatti anytime soon. Winkelmann said last week that neither marquee would seek out the tech just yet because it's not ready to meet the performance demands. If one arrives, it won't be until the end of the decade. Until then, Lamborghini, Ducati, and Bentley will still call VW home.

We're getting used to seeing Samsung Galaxy S21 leaks ahead of its expected launch in January, but a new hands-on video that's arrived online might just be our most comprehensive look at the new handset yet. As posted by Random Stuff 2 on YouTube, the video shows off the Galaxy S21 Plus model in what appears to be a dark gray color – perhaps the "Phantom Black" design that we've heard about from previous leaks. The clip shows off the front and back of the as-yet-unannounced phone, plus Geekbench scores of 1,115 for single-core and 3,326 for multi-core. It's worth pointing out that the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus hit a multi-core score of 3,034 in our review, though it's likely that there are more software optimizations to come on this new handset. Everything we know about the Galaxy S21 Cyberpunk 2077 gets an important patch All the problems we've found in iOS 14 You can see various aspects of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus interface in the video, and based on this brief clip at least, it looks as though the phone will be bringing super-slick performance along with it – as you would expect from a flagship 2021 phone. There's no sign of the S Pen in this particular video, but that's not surprising considering that stylus support is only expected for the Galaxy S21 Ultra model at this stage – just one of many rumors we've heard about the upcoming handset. Besides the Plus model shown here, and the Ultra model, we're expecting a standard Galaxy S21 phone to appear next month. It looks as though the phones are going to come running the latest Android 11 software based on this video, but again that's what we were expecting anyway. You can see the redesigned camera array around the back of the phone, something we've previously seen in leaked renders of the three Galaxy S21 phones and in what appears to be the official teaser trailer for the handsets, which we've already seen appear online. If the rumor mill is to be trusted, the Galaxy S21 range is going to be unveiled on January 14, 2021, a date which has been corroborated by Samsung employees at a store in India. Pricing is expected to be in line with the Galaxy S20 phones that we saw in 2020.

Biostar has announced the new B550M-Silver motherboard for gamers, mainstream users and content creators. The motherboard aims to offer high-performance within an accessible price point. Like its name suggests, Biostar's new offering features a black PCB with some passive heatsinks slathered in a silver color to accentuate the design. Powered by AMD's B550 chipset, the B550M-Silver comes in a standard microATX form factor and with native support for Ryzen 5000 (Vermeer) processors. The motherboard is armed with four DDR4 memory slots that support frequencies over DDR4-4400 and a maximum capacity of 128GB of memory. High-speed storage options on the B550M-Silver consist of one speedy M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slot and a standard M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 slot. Both accept SSDs with lengths up to 80mm, whether they're SATA-or PCIe-based. However, you'd want to use the latter if you want to exploit the interfaces' full performance. The motherboard also lands with six conventional SATA III connectors. In terms of expansion, the B550M-Silver supplies a single PCIe 4.0 x16 slot for AMD's Radeon RX 6000 (Big Navi) or Nvidia's GeForce RTX 30-series (Ampere) graphics cards. There's also a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot that runs at x4 and a PCIe 3.0 x1 slot for you to connect your other devices that are less bandwidth hungry. The B550M-Silver doesn't suffer from slow Internet connectivity either. The motherboard has a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port, which is based of the Realtek RTL8125B controller. There is support for Wi-Fi 6 too, but you'll have to buy your own wireless card to get that feature. In case you plan to use the B550M-Silver with a compatible APU, the motherboard puts one DVI-D port, one HDMI port and one DisplayPort output at your disposal. The motherboard also comes with a PS/2 keyboard and mouse combo port, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and two USB 2.0 ports. The Realtek ALC1150 codec takes care of the audio workloads on the B550M-Silver. The motherboard has three standard 3.5mm audio jacks, but support 7.1-channel audio. Biostar didn't reveal when the B550M-Silver will be available or how much it'll cost.

Fortnite is built to support a wide range of PC hardware, but the game is so po[CENSORED]r that more than a few folks who aren’t typically PC gamers might want to give it a shot. But now there’s a much better option for people who’re running on low-spec machines. A new set of performance mode options aim to boost your frame rate and substantially shrink your install size. As of December 15, you’ll be able to go into your in-game video options. Under the advanced graphics heading, the rendering mode setting will have a new option labeled ‘performance’. Players on low-end hardware will get an automatic prompt at launch recommending that they test out the option. Performance mode is currently in alpha, but Epic’s official examples already show some substantial frame rate improvements. The studios says that an i5-8265U clocked at 1.60GHz paired with an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 can see frame rates improve from an average of 24fps to 61fps. In other words, from ‘barely playable’ to ‘completely playable’. On top of that, the launch of performance mode will also see Fortnite offer a new installation option. From the options menu in your Epic library, you’ll be able to manually remove high resolution textures, saving you 14GB of hard drive space. That can bring the total install size as low as 17GB, as long as you don’t mind giving up the better-quality visuals. You can see an example of what performance mode looks like with high-res textures removed above. Not half-bad – like a decent late-gen Xbox 360 game.

The current-generation BMW M4/M3 is finally getting the convertible version of your dreams. Thanks to leaked patent images uploaded by the sleuths of the BMW i4 forum we see what the upcoming BMW M4 convertible will look like in great detail. Based on these renders it’s exactly what you’d expect. Convertible M cars have been a point of controversy for some time. The roofless version of performance-oriented BMW M products add weight and sacrifice rigidity for the added benefit of an open-air driving experience. For the BMW faithful this is blasphemy and used BMW M car convertibles are typically far more affordable than their hardtop cousins. That’s ok because these convertibles are built for the casual enthusiast who wants a fast car built for cruising and impressing their friends. Gallery: BMW M4 Convertible Patent Images Show The Future Of Topless M Cars Thankfully this tradition continues in 2022 with the upcoming convertible BMW M4. The digital patent renders show us exactly what you’d expect a convertible M4 to look like. Based on the renders we can see BMW has chosen to go with a cloth soft top, which should cut down on cost, complexity, and weight when compared to a retractable hardtop. Since the BMW M4 was built as a coupe first and convertible second, the body lines are thrown off by the addition of the soft top. The gradual slope of the coupe’s roof is replaced by the sudden drop-off of the soft top, which compromises the M4 Convertible’s side profile adding to its already polarizing design. It’s important to remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Although the convertible M4 may lead some to question the design compromises, others are willing to accept these looks for the added benefit of a drop-top and those are the customers BMW is targeting.

Cyberpunk 2077 is certainly a demanding game if you want to run higher resolutions and details, and Nvidia’s own benchmarks have shown that even the mighty RTX 3090 graphics card can’t quite hit an average of 60 frames per second (fps) at 4K resolution with maximum graphics details – even with the help of DLSS in performance boosting mode. As Wccftech spotted, Nvidia just shared its own test results (using a PC with an Intel Core i9-10900K processor) with Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K with ‘ultra’ details and ray tracing (also maxed out) – so basically the game in all its full-on visual finery. And as mentioned, even when using Nvidia’s DLSS tech in performance mode to help boost frame rates considerably, the RTX 3090 achieved an average frame rate of 57.8 fps (without DLSS, the result was a sluggish 22 fps). Watch out for these Cyberpunk 2077 scams Check out all the best graphics cards We'll show you how to build a PC Now, 57.8 fps is hardly a bad result, but it does fall a touch frustratingly short of the magic 60 fps. (Consistently maintaining the frame rate above 60 fps is widely regarded as the threshold for buttery smooth gameplay). An average of 57 fps means that at times, Cyberpunk 2077 could drop its frame rate into something which might be regarded as slightly jerky. And when those moments occur, it’s always going to be annoying to know that if you’d just turned down the details a bit, you wouldn’t have experienced those jitters. A small thing, yes, but still, it kind of makes you feel like you can’t max out everything with no consequences – even with a stupendously fast and expensive GPU like the RTX 3090. At the same 4K settings, the RTX 3080 came reasonably close to Nvidia’s flagship, managing 51.8 fps, and the last-gen RTX 2080 Ti achieved 38.2 fps (still playable, of course, but far from smooth really). 1440p and 1080p So what about 1440p resolution? Again, at fully maxed details, except this time with DLSS switched to quality mode rather than performance, the RTX 3090 managed 71.7 fps, and the RTX 3080 hit 65 fps. Nvidia’s RTX 3070 and RTX 2080 Ti were level pegging on a smidge under 50 fps here – and the recently introduced RTX 3060 Ti managed 44.2 fps. What’s interesting is that without DLSS, even the RTX 3090 seriously struggles at 1440p with graphics and ray tracing maxed, only achieving 44.8 fps. As for Full HD (1080p) resolution, once again with everything maxed and DLSS on quality mode, the RTX 3090 comes in just short of 100 fps, recording an average frame rate of 96.6 fps. The RTX 3080 achieves 89.1 fps, with the RTX 3070 on 70.6 fps, and Nvidia’s RTX 3060 Ti managing to get over the magic 60 fps mark, with a benchmark result of 64.2 fps. There’s an important day one patch for Cyberpunk 2077 which applies a huge amount of fixes and optimization, and these results presumably include that. We can likely expect further optimizing measures to be brought in with subsequent patches for the game (and possibly future Nvidia drivers too), so frame rates could improve going forward.

The three shells in Demolition Man is one of the great conundrums of sci-fi cinema. Seriously, how are they supposed to work? Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t have an answer, but it does reference them, giving you three shells in V’s apartment to ponder over. If you go to the bathroom in V’s homestead in the RPG game, you’ll find an enclave by the toilet. Resting in that little shelf will be three, black seashells, ready and waiting for when you do your business. No other context is given, no further instructions on where these bathroom wares might fit into our future cleaning rituals. Demolition Man is a 1993 action movie where Sylvester Stallone plays a cop, John Spartan, trying to take down Wesley Snipes’ Simon Phoenix in 1996. When a hostage situation goes violently sideways, they’re both sentenced to cryogenic freezing. Phoenix is let out first, in the year 2032, so Spartan’s brought back to stop him. Trying to navigate the weird, far-flung modernity, Spartan finds three shells where toilet paper should be, and gets laughed at for not understanding the intersection of mementos from a trip to the beach and personal hygiene. This becomes a recurring joke. The shells are very much a meme about genre fans, so a nod was almost expected from something so entrenched in modern science fiction as Cyberpunk 2077. Here’s a picture of the reference: A reference to The Office, and Half-Life 3, are among the other easter eggs that have been found in the open-world game. Here’s guides on Cyberpunk 2077 vehicles, Cyberpunk 2077 weapons, and Cyberpunk 2077 bosses, because unlike the seashells routine, this game can actually be understood.

Next to the 992 Porsche 911 GT3 streetcar, the next-generation Cup car has kept fans on the edge of their seats. As the top-selling racing car in the world, the German automaker certainly had big shoes to fill, but wow did they deliver. A first for the motorsport division, the one-make racing machine will not only be released to competitors in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, but also to customer teams in the national Carrera Cups – held in Germany, France, Asia, Benelux, and North America. As a springboard series that’s consistently proven its success over the years, it’s incredibly exciting to see such a substantial update. There are obviously many improvements to the car, but one leap comes in the power department. It still uses the same 4.0-liter six-cylinder horizontally opposed engine as its predecessor, but this unit has been pumped up to produce 510 horsepower (375 kilowatts) over the previous 485 hp (361.664 kW) benchmark. More grunt is fantastic, but one of the new challenger’s party pieces is that it can produce those numbers using synthetic fuels, significantly lowering CO2 emissions – purists will be relieved to hear that it keeps the same exhaust configuration, producing one of the great noises in motorsport. Along with more power, there are also big improvements in aerodynamics and mechanical grip. As a first for the GT3 cup, it sits on the wider body of the 911 Turbo. With the rear measuring out to 1,902 millimeters in width, it exceeds the width of the previous model by 28 mm; the same can be said at the front-axle which stands at 1,920 mm. The new setup allows for 12-inch wide rims at the front and 13-inch at the back – a very typical configuration for GT racing which ensures optimal handling and drivability. Gallery: 992 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup: Another noticeable upgrade comes with the interior which looks to be very heavily inspired by the 911 GT3 R – the bigger brother of the cup car. Along with completely revised ergonomics, the new cockpit comes with a large color display, illuminated controls, and a new steering wheel made of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic. It’s clear that the design team wanted the budding race car drivers of tomorrow to feel special when they hop in. Along with the pursuit for more performance, the German automaker was committed to making the new car more cost-effective for teams to run. As a development series, the economic side is paramount, giving smaller teams just as much of a chance at success as the big teams. “We were particularly successful in achieving this thanks to its striking appearance, the improved suspension, and intelligent solutions for electrical details,” said project manager Jan Feldmann. “With its improved performance and the optimized cockpit, it’s the best Cup car that Porsche has ever built.” As the new car will be used in the 2021 series of Cup racing worldwide, delivery to teams will begin in February of next year. Following its release, the racing car of tomorrow is now ready to race for €225,000 ($272,511).

We've seen plenty of unofficial renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 phones, but now we've got a leaked photo of the actual handsets in the actual real, physical world – showing off the Galaxy S21 Ultra and S21 Plus side by side. As revealed by seasoned leaker Sakitech, the images show the redesigned camera module on the upcoming Galaxy S series phones, which looks as though it's wrapping around the top left hand corner of the phone as you look at the back of it. On the left of the image, which we've embedded below, is the S21 Ultra: you can see a quad-camera setup, with two telephoto lenses, a main lens, and an ultrawide lens. The other holes are the flash and the laser autofocus system. On the right, there's the Galaxy S21 Plus: this phone is going to come with a triple-camera setup, comprising a main lens, a telephoto lens, and an ultrawide lens. You can see the flash just to the right, and apparently the standard S21 will have a similar rear camera array attached. Here is the the real world photo of the Galaxy S21 Ultra and S21 Plus, side by side. Watch full youtube video here for more details: https://t.co/AYC9OKrxnQ pic.twitter.com/SLp61Wce64December 7, 2020 It looks as though the cameras are going to be one reason why you might want to pay top dollar for the Ultra version of the Galaxy S21, although there might not be a huge leap forward from what we saw with the Galaxy S20 series. The 108MP rating of the top-end main camera will remain the same, for example, though apparently there is going to be an improved image sensor behind it – and that will mean more light captured and better photos out the other side. Thanks to the dual 10MP telephoto lenses, the S21 Ultra model is being tipped to reach a 5x optical zoom level, which would be a step up from the 4x optical zoom on its direct predecessor. There's also more than one rumor suggesting that the S21 Ultra is going to get S Pen stylus support too. All of this should be made official in the coming weeks: it sounds very much like the Galaxy S21 phones will launch in January, and specifically on January 14, and we'll be bringing you every last detail of these new flagships when the time comes.
