How to Make a Backup of Your Mac Using Time Machine The feature was introduced with OS X 10.5 Leopard and has been there since then. If you have never used it, Time Machine is one of the easiest ways to back up your Mac and is great for recovering individual files that you have deleted or for restoring your entire hard drive in case catastrophe. How Does Time Machine Work?
