Valorant bugs are typically short-lived. Thanks to Riot Games, they instantly get patched up, but some are too game-breaking to exist even for a day. This brand new bug on Pearl lets Killjoy make an incredible play with her cute Nanoswarms. Unfortunately, it has no counter, which is what makes it extremely powerful and deadly. Pearl isn’t precisely a new map. The FPS game developer has filtered it of significant glitches during the first-month post-release. Minor glitches are fine, but players have discovered a game-breaking bug capable of changing the round’s outcome. Killjoy is already extremely overpowered in post-plant situations, and this map lets her sneak the tiny cutters behind an unplayable area. Killjoy’s Nanoswarms are a force to be reckoned with in post-plant situations, but you can destroy them… if you can find them. This particular bug is OP because it locks her Nanoswarms outside the map. As a result, defenders won’t be able to hear the subtle buzz to dodge the swarms or destroy them upon detection. There’s no possible counter to the glitch. However, it will surely influence the round outcome if the attackers activate the swarms in the final few seconds of Spike’s destruction. Then, the defuser will have no option but to walk back and settle on saving a weapon. The worst part? This bug is replicable, so defenders must not allow Spike plant on A site since retake is impossible. This glitch is still relatively new, meaning Riot Games has yet to notice. The developer might roll out an instant fix for the bug, as it’s breaking the game and costing players their hard-earned ELO. Valorant’s episode 6 act 1 is coming soon, with a brand new map nine teased as City of Flowers, so players may want to roll up their sleeves to unlock new rank badges! https://www.pcgamesn.com/valorant/Killjoy-Pearl-bug

The Witcher 4 is officially on its way, though at present it has a codename of Polaris. This is the next mainline game in the beloved fantasy gaming series, and is set to kick off a whole new set of games. Back in March 2022, developer CD Projekt Red announced The Witcher 4 in a blog post. That stated "the next installment in The Witcher series of video games is currently in development" and the title will kick off "a new saga". This new saga is actually a new trilogy, which will start with whatever Polaris is. This is, for all intents and purposes, The Witcher 4, though it will likely be called something else entirely. For now, we're taking The Witcher 4 as the project codenamed Polaris in the recent game reveals. So what do we know about Polaris so far? Despite it clearly being a ways off, we do have some interesting comments from CD Projekt Red on what could be in store for The Witcher 4. Want to find out more? Read on for everything we know about the Witcher 4 so far. The Witcher 4: cut to the chase What is it? The next mainline The Witcher game When can I play it? TBC What can I play it on? TBC Let's begin by tempering our excitement. CD Projekt RED has announced that The Witcher 4 is in active development, but it also made clear in a blog post(opens in new tab) that "no further details about a release date" are available. Now, to put that in some perspective, the original reveal trailer for Cyberpunk 2077(opens in new tab) was released seven years before the game actually came out. To pour a little hope back into the situation, CD Projekt RED published a Witcher 3: Wild Hunt title reveal trailer(opens in new tab) just two years ahead of The Witcher 3's release. That is all to say, we are likely multiple years away from The Witcher 4's release. Mark your calendars for 2024 at the earliest, though it'll probably be longer. No platforms for The Witcher 4 have been confirmed either, but that's not surprising. We expect CD Projekt Red will make use of current-gen hardware, so releases on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC seem almost certain. What we do know is that The Witcher 4 will be the first in a trilogy. This was revealed in October 2022 alongside a bunch of new The Witcher and Cyberpunk projects. As stated above, there are few details available about The Witcher 4. The official blog post only confirms it's in development and that it's being built in Unreal Engine 5. But, over the years, CD Projekt RED has said plenty about what a future Witcher game would involve. For a start, it's not really The Witcher 4. "The first three 'Witchers' were by definition a trilogy, so we simply could not name the next game 'The Witcher 4'," Kiciński said in an interview. "This does not mean, of course, that we will leave the world of The Witcher." At the end of The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, monster hunter Geralt was alive and well. Well, he was alive, at least. But his story arc had ended, the Wild Hunt was over. That doesn't mean he won't return in this new Witcher game, though he likely won't be the main character. The developer said as much back in 2013: "We are not killing the world and walking away from it, but we will definitely want to make this game the finale in a big way," executive producer John Mamais told Polygon(opens in new tab). "We might even include Geralt in later games potentially. We just need to talk about it and figure out what we're going to do next." Perhaps we'll see the reins pass to Ciri - if it's decided that canonically she survived The Witcher 3. To avoid continuity issues, perhaps the team will set its story head of the events of Geralt's adventures. After all, Netflix is developing a series set long before the events of the books, Blood Origin is a prequel set 1,000 years before the events of The Witcher. The confirmation that the medallion shown in the game's announcement picture is a lynx certainly suggests that the game will take things in a new direction. Potentially, that introduces an entirely new Witcher school. The author of the Witcher books, Andrzej Sapkowski, signed a new deal with the company to "further solidify their relationship". So. the studio is free to pull from any one of his short stories or novels. Polaris, and a brand new trilogy In early October, 2022, CD Projekt RED announced a bunch of new titles via Twitter(opens in new tab), including a new The Witcher trilogy. Polaris (what we've been calling Witcher 4) will kick off the new saga, which will then play out over 6 years from the first release. This is obviously a huge undertaking, so we'll have to wait and see whether it pays off. Reconfirming the start of a new saga CD Projekt RED has re-confirmed that The Witcher 4 will launch a saga. While it didn't confirm how many games this'll involve, CEO Adam Kiciński made these comments during a recent earnings call(opens in new tab). "We said that there will be a new saga. Of course, now we are pre-producing the first game of this saga. But we have in mind more than one. The first saga was three games, so now we're thinking about more than one game. But we are in pre-production on the first game from the second Witcher saga." First mystery solved: the medallion is a lynx Following the detail-light announcement that The Witcher 4 is in development, CD Projekt Red has spoken out to address one point of fan speculation: the medallion shown in the announcement image. Turns out, it’s a lynx, suggesting that CD Projekt Red has created a whole new Witcher school for the new game. "I can confirm that the medallion is, in fact, shaped after a lynx," global communication director Robert Malinowski told Eurogamer(opens in new tab). However, while the School of the Lynx doesn’t appear in official Witcher fiction, there are stories about the school elsewhere on the internet – on a Witcher fan fiction wiki(opens in new tab). On the fan wiki, the School of the Lynx forms after the School of the Wolf dissolves. Founded by the surviving members – including Geralt – the school eventually departs its homeland and explores the Western continent. However, remember that this is all fanfiction, and therefore unlikely to be similar to the story that CD Projekt is working up for its new RPG. For a start, Geralt may not even feature in the new game. Indeed, the announcement talks about a "new saga" which does suggest an intention to move on. The announcement Considering most game announcements come with fancy reveal trailers and big new websites, news of The Witcher 4 is relatively muted. CD Projekt RED published a blog post(opens in new tab) with a single piece of key art and scant detail about one of the most anticipated RPGs in gaming history. "We’re happy to announce that the next installment in The Witcher series of video games is currently in development, kicking off a new saga for the franchise," the developer writes. While the post doesn't go into detail about the game's release date or even how far into development the team is, it does include one major detail: CD Projekt RED has dumped its in-house game engine. The team has been using the REDengine for every game since The Witcher 2. Capable of supporting gorgeous open worlds, the Polish developer has spent years expanding its capabilities. There was a huge leap in quality from The Witcher 2 to The Witcher 3, with the tech being able to handle much larger, denser worlds. The tech jumped on again with Cyberpunk 2077. While the world may have felt more hemmed in than The Witcher 3's open plains and twisting forests, Night City was a packed city with huge amounts of activity stretch up above you across vertical apartment blocks. Still, Cyberpunk suffered from significant technical problems at launch and perhaps it is that which has pushed CD Projekt RED to leave its own engine behind in favor of an industry-standard: Unreal Engine 5. "We’re moving from REDengine to Unreal Engine 5," CD Projekt writes in the blog post, "beginning a multi-year strategic partnership with Epic Games. It covers not only licensing, but technical development of Unreal Engine 5, as well as potential future versions of Unreal Engine, where relevant. We’ll closely collaborate with Epic Games’ developers with the primary goal being to help tailor the engine for open-world experiences." Before we had seen any games for the PlayStation 5, we had seen an Unreal Engine 5 tech demo running on the console. Epic Games has been keen to push this new version of its engine as technology for the new generation of consoles. The fact The Witcher 4 will be built in this tech is both something Epic can shout about and Witcher fans burned by Cyberpunk can take solace in. Of course, a game engine is just a set of tools, it doesn't make a game good or bad. And, while many people at CD Projekt RED will have used Unreal Engine tech over their careers, shifting an entire studio to a different suite of tools is a production challenge that can show up in the final game. https://www.techradar.com/news/the-witcher-4-release-date

Despite ‘unlaunching’ the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB a little under a month ago, it appears that Nvidia may be drawing up plans to bring the GPU back to market under a different name. A rebranding isn’t entirely surprising, but it remains to be seen whether team green will stick by the previously announced price point for this graphics card. Nvidia said the reason behind its decision to effectively cancel the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB was because “having two GPUs with the 4080 designation is confusing,” which while true to a degree didn’t speak to the performance differences between the two models. Now, according to kopite7kimi, the pixel pusher will be rebranded as the RTX 4070 Ti. Considering that GeForce RTX 4080 12GB GPU performance previously fell behind the 16GB model, an RTX 4070 Ti moniker is certainly more befitting of the pixel pusher’s power. We’ll need to wait and see until we get our hands on one, but it could be the best graphics card on the market for under $1,000 USD. It’s unclear when Nvidia plans to launch the RTX 4070 Ti, but the RTX 4080 12GB was originally scheduled to release shortly after the RTX 4080 16GB, so it could be very soon. We also don’t know whether it’ll still cost $899 USD, especially following the news that the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT will cost the same amount. https://www.pcgamesn.com/nvidia/rtx-4070-ti-rumour

One of the biggest announcements to emerge from Apple’s iPhone 14 launch event concerned the company’s potentially groundbreaking Emergency SOS via Satellite feature – but until now, we’d heard precious little about when it might actually arrive. In a new support post(opens in new tab) (H/T MacRumors(opens in new tab)), Apple says Emergency SOS via Satellite "will be available with an iOS 16 software update coming in November 2022." iOS 16.1 rolled out at the end of October, and iOS 16.2 is expected to launch in December, so it follows that the life-saving feature could arrive with iOS 16.1.1 in the coming weeks. iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 betas are already out in the wild, and we know that Apple is preparing to roll out a fix for a persistent Wi-Fi bug that’s been pestering iPhone 14 customers since the launch of iOS 16.1. For our money, then, Emergency SOS via Satellite will arrive on the iPhone 14 alongside this imminent software patch. To jog your memory, Apple says the new feature will help you contact emergency services under “exceptional circumstances” when no other means of reaching these services are available. If you’re outside the range of cellular and Wi-Fi coverage, your iPhone will connect you to the help you need – or try to, at least – via satellite. The feature is coming to all four iPhone 14 models – including the iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max – though only in the US and Canada to begin with. It’s expected to roll out in other countries towards the end of 2023. Apple says Emergency SOS via Satellite will be free to all iPhone 14 users for the first two years following its launch, which suggests the feature could demand a subscription fee or per-use payment by the end of 2024. Messages sent through Emergency SOS via Satellite could reach their destination in just 15 seconds, Apple claims, but only when “a direct view of the sky and the horizon” is present. Messages processed "under trees with light or medium foliage” might take over a minute to send – but hey, if you’re out in the wilderness with a broken leg, one-message-a-minute is better than no messages at all, right? Hopefully, we’ll be able to test Emergency SOS via Satellite on iPhone 14 for ourselves – safely, of course – when the feature goes live later this month. In the meantime, check out our report on the ‘incredible’ repairability of the iPhone 14 Pro, and our roundup of the best iPhone 14 Black Friday deals live right now. https://www.techradar.com/news/apples-life-saving-satellite-feature-could-arrive-in-your-iphone-14s-next-update

Google Pixel 7 series powered by the second-generation Tensor G2 SoC was unveiled last month, but rumours of next year's Pixel models, speculated to be the Pixel 8 series, have started coming in. The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are said to have "Shiba" and "Husky" as their internal model designations, respectively. The next-generation flagship smartphones from Google are said to use the third-generation Google Tensor SoC that is based on Samsung's Exynos 2300. As per a report by Winfuture.de (German), Google is working on new Pixel flagship smartphones — Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, that are codenamed Shiba and Husky, respectively. They are said to run on Android 14 and will be powered by a new SoC codenamed "Zuma", which is being developed by Google and Samsung. The SoC is speculated to be a customised variant of the Exynos 2300 SoC and would be accompanied by the same Samsung G5300 modem that's found in the Google Tensor G2 SoC. Zuma could come with optimisations for machine learning and AI. The upcoming smartphones could include a total of 12GB of RAM. The display of Shiba is said to offer a full-HD resolution of 1,080x2,268 pixels, while the Husky's display could have a 1,344 x2,822 pixels resolution. The report does not mention when the search giant will launch the next-generation Pixel smartphones. If the launch timelines of previous Pixel flagship smartphones are any indication, the upcoming Pixel 8 series could launch somewhere around October next year. The Pixel 7 series smartphones were given the codenames Cheetah and Panther. Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro powered by the second-generation Tensor G2 SoC were unveiled last month. They are offered in three colour options and have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The Pixel 7 features a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup, while the Pixel 7 Pro flaunts a triple camera setup with an additional 48-megapixel telephoto lens. https://www.gadgets360.com/mobiles/news/google-pixel-8-pro-tensor-g3-exynos-2300-specifications-leak-report-3503843

The “Know your realmers” is a regular feature in the realme forums, which introduces key members of the company to its fans, it is essentially a Q&A session. The latest focuses Francis Wong, the Chief Marketing Officer for realme India and Europe. “I wish I could tell you the device I am using, it is our next flagship and it will launch as part of our 3rd anniversary celebration. Just wait for it,” says Wong. It’s not hard to guess which phone that is – it’s the realme GT 5G. The company’s other recent launch, the realme 8 Pro, is already available in India. Note that the Q&A session was posted in the Indian sub-forum, so this seems to specifically cover the launch in India. Which offers context for the second question – when? Realme launched in India in early May of 2018, add three years to that and we get that the GT will arrive next month. Whether or not the realme GT Neo follows is unclear (it was certified by BIS, so likely yes). You can read the Know your realmers post for the rest of the Q&A. Wong mentions that the company will add new product categories to its portfolio this year (without mentioning which ones exactly). Realme already makes audio, wearables and smart home products in addition to its main business of smartphones.

Except for the chipset used, the Galaxy S22 seems to come without noticeable changes on the photo configuration side, the much-rumored 200MP sensor being absent from the list. According to the latest rumors, none of the representatives of the next series of Galaxy phones, S22, S22 Plus and S22 Ultra, receive the 200MP photo sensor that Samsung has just announced. Named ISOCELL HP1, it uses 0.64 μm pixels and includes a low-light mode that delivers high quality pictures at 12.5MP resolution, simulating a pixel size of 2.56 μm, with much increased sensitivity to light. Theoretically, the new Samsung sensor should offer all the advantages of ultra-high resolution, without the compromises normally expected from multi-pixel optical sensors with a small surface for capturing light. According to sources close to the South Korean company, even the top Galaxy S22 Ultra model will also receive a 108MP main sensor, Samsung preferring to optimize on concrete performance. The offer of complementary sensors would include an ultra-wide 12MP sensor, assist with optical image stabilization function. At the front, the Galaxy S22 Ultra model would have a camera with 40MP resolution. Instead, the S22 and S22 Plus series receive a triple-camera system with 3X optical zoom and 10MP camera on the front. Also in terms of news, it seems that Samsung will deliver the Galaxy S22 Ultra model with a new version of the S Pen accessory.

Huawei offers a series of interesting and competitive portable laptops in Romanian stores. Of these, the MateBook 14 model launched towards the end of 2020 drew my attention in particular as one of the very few compact models powered by an AMD Ryzen H platform, the one we normally find on laptops with more generous dimensions. So we went to Huawei to ask them for this MateBook for testing, and below we gathered our impressions after using it for about 10 days, for better or worse. The configuration we tested is identical to those in stores, in the middle version equipped with AMD Ryzen 5 4600H processor, 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD storage, the one available locally for about 4300 lei (if you find it in stock). In addition to the special hardware specifications, the MateBook 14 also offers a 3: 2 IPS screen, a 56 Wh battery, a cooling solution well adapted to the technical platform, and a good quality metal construction, aspects that will surely make it put it on the list of many of you. However, it is not without its shortcomings, so the article below will help you decide if this MateBook 14 is the right choice for your needs or not. Specifications Huawei MateBook 14 Screen14 ″, 2160 x 1440 px, 3: 2, IPS, non-touch, glossy AMD Ryzen 5 4600H processor, 6C / 12T VideoAMD Radeon Vega 6 16 GB DDR4 2666 MHz dual-channel memory (paste) Storage512 GB M.2 NVMe SSD (WDC PC SN730 SDBPNTY-512G-1027) Wireless 5 AC connectivity (Realtek 8822CE), Bluetooth 5.0 Ports2x USB-A 3.1, 1x USB-C 3.1 gen2, HDMI, small / headphone 56 Wh battery, 100W USB-C charger Dimensions308 mm x 224 mm x 15.9 mm Weight 1.46 kg, loader 0.2 kg Other lighting keyboard, HD webcam, fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers Construction and design Huawei MateBook 14 is made entirely of metal, but what is more impressive is the fact that the chassis has a monobloc design, a very rare aspect in this price segment. As a result, the laptop is rigid and well assembled, the torsional tendencies in the problem areas are very small or absent, and the unpleasant noises caused by the raising of the edges are also absent. In addition to the construction, the Huawei manufacturer was also attentive to the design. The metal alloy has a dark gray color, which well hides traces of fingerprints or use, and annoying light sources such as LEDs hidden in the Power button are missing, the only indicator of this kind is for charging and starting, located on the left side. Because the laptop uses a screen with a 3: 2 aspect ratio, it is larger than the classic 14 ”models with a 16: 9 screen. As the construction is all metal, Huawei MateBook 14 is a bit heavy, its weight being almost 1.5 kilograms. To give you an idea of these parameters, the MateBook 14 is about the same size and weight as a 13 ”Apple MacBook Pro.

Apple is very restrictive when it comes to content available in the App Store, banning from the start applications that may include pornography, for example. Also, applications that address topics such as light or high-risk drugs are prohibited. However, cannabis, a drug considered very easy, has begun to be legalized in many US states for several years, and several companies now offer delivery services or even online orders for products obtained from this plant. After Apple amended the App Store regulations, which allow such applications in the store, on June 7, the first application that sells marijuana on the iPhone appeared: Ease. The Eaze application can be downloaded by users in the USA Sursa The app is called Eaze and is a delivery service for both marijuana buds (which can be rolled into cigarettes) and CBD oil products, or cakes that include such ingredients that can be used for medicinal purposes. Of course, the application is available and functional only in US states where the consumption and sale of marijuana are legal. Also, only applications from licensed manufacturers can reach the App Store, with Apple checking their documents before approval. However, the application requires the personal data of the users. It is necessary to verify the identity card, in order to verify the age and probably the state in which it is. Otherwise, the Eaze interface is similar to an online store, being able to choose products from a catalog, pay and choose delivery. Everything is done directly from the application. Now that there is such a delivery service on the iPhone, others will surely start to appear. There are already several such applications on the Google Play Store, as Google allowed the launch of this type of service a long time ago, after several US states legalized the consumption and sale of cannabis.

The children's song "Baby Shark" has become the most watched video ever uploaded on YouTube, informs The Guardian. With almost 7 billion and 40 million views, Baby Shark surpassed the song Despacito, released in 2017 by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yanke. Baby Shark became the most watched video on YouTube four years after it was uploaded by Pinkfong. The author is unknown, this song has been sung to young children for some time, but the song became famous after it was recorded by a 10-year-old child, Hope Segoine. Produced by Pinkfong, the song first spread to Asia, then to the United States and Europe. The song reached number 6 in the UK singles chart and number 32 in the US. With a duration of only one minute and 21 seconds, the chorus invites listening in a loop, contributing to the record of views. Live tours, promotional items, books and more were released based on the song. The song is in the public domain and is not owned by Pinkfong. However, the company has been sued by Jonathan Wright, author of children's songs, who claims that in 2011 he recorded a version similar to the one released by Pinkfong and that he owns distribution rights for his variety. A verdict has not yet been handed down in this case. Last month, the song returned to the public's attention after three employees of a prison in the US state of Oklahoma were accused of cruelty to detainees. The guards handcuffed the detainees and forced them to listen to Baby Shark for two hours.
