It's no mystery that Intel is going to launch its 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh CPU lineup soon and as such, motherboard vendors are doing a soft refresh of their existing product lineups & offering new Z790/B760 chipset designs that come with better I/O, VRMs, cooling capabilities and more. The new LGA 1700 socket offers 500 more pin connections to the CPU, allowing for more communication channels with the board itself and accommodating electrical pin configurations that are required to support Next-Gen, 13th & 12th Gen CPUs.So as for the socket details, Intel has gone with an asymmetrical design since the Alder Lake CPUs are no longer square-shaped. The latest desktop CPUs will come in a 37.5x45.0mm package and are supported by the 'V0' socket which we know as LGA 1700. Tales of Arise, the latest entry in the JRPG series developed by Bandai Namco, is getting expanded in a little over a month with the Beyond the Dawn expansion. Announced during yesterday's State of Play, the DLC expansion will be a continuation of the main story, and it will be the first one in the series to come with such a scale, according to General Producer Yusuke Tomizawa, as it will take around 20 hours for players to explore the united world.While the Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn expansion will require the base game, players won't have to worry about maxing out characters in the main adventure. Levels and skills will not carry over from the base game, but players will be provided with bonuses based on the clear data of the base game. The game system hasn't changed much over the base game as well, but there will likely be some tweaks, judging from similar expansions released for previous entries in the series.Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn launches on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One on November 9th. Larian's Baldur's Gate hit title is out today on PlayStation 5 as well (digitally), and upon the release of the PS5 version, Larian released a hotfix for the game. One of the main fixes included with this patch is a fix that locked players out of many of Minthara’s lines of dialogue. In addition, the hotfix addresses several glitches and multiplayer issues. Interesting to note is that the patch also aims to fix a memory leak when creating and destroying many objects. This should result in somewhat better performance. As for the PS5-specific fixes, the hotfix addresses an issue that caused the game's audio to stop working on Sony's console.
