  1. Irish budget airline Ryanair says it is still insisting that all South Africans travelling on flights to the UK must prove their nationality by taking a test in the Afrikaans language. The policy has caused outrage in South Africa, where many black people associate Afrikaans with the days of white-minority rule. South Africa has 11 official languages and Ryanair has not explained why it chose Afrikaans. The airline runs flights around Europe. BBC Africa Live: Updates from the continent In a statement to the BBC, Ryanair said it had to carry out the extra test because of "substantially increased cases of fraudulent South African passports being used to enter the UK". Any airline found to have taken a passenger to the UK on a fake passport faces a fine of £2,000 ($2,500) from the UK authorities. "This is why Ryanair must ensure that all passengers (especially South African citizens) travel on a valid SA passport/visa as required by UK Immigration," the airline said. The British government says it does not require the extra test to be carried out. As well as not explaining why it chose Afrikaans rather than any other South African language, Ryanair did not say whether it carried out similar tests for any other nationality. Only around 13% of South Africans speak Afrikaans as a first language, according to a 2011 census - making it the country's third-most spoken mother tongue, after Zulu and IsiXhosa. The quiz contains questions such as what is South Africa's international dialling code, what is its capital city and who is the current president of the country. Anyone who fails is refused travel and refunded the cost of their ticket. South African citizen Dinesh Joseph told the BBC how he was "seething" with anger when asked to take the test when flying to the UK from the Canary Islands. "It was the language of apartheid," Mr Joseph told the BBC, saying it was a trigger for him. "Being a person of colour, especially from South Africa, you've experienced a lot... of racism," he said. The imposition of Afrikaans in schools was the main reason behind the 1976 Soweto Uprising against the apartheid regime, in which at least 170 people were killed, mostly schoolchildren. BBC South African reporter Nomsa Maseko says she swore never to speak Afrikaans after leaving school, and that she would have failed the test. South Africa has 11 official languages: Zulu, isiXhosa, Afrikaans, Sepedi, Setswana, English, Sesotho, Xitsonga, Siswati, Tshivenda and Ndebele. line Why Afrikaans is so controversial: During apartheid, or white-minority rule, Afrikaans was made mandatory, and an official language of education, alongside English, prompting nationwide protests by black South Africans It is no longer obligatory but is an option in schools It is the mother tongue of only 13% of South Africans, mainly mixed-race people, known as coloureds, and white South Africans - the descendants of Dutch, German and French settlers who arrived in the 17th Century More will be able to understand it but many cannot, and speak one of the 11 other official languages English is the language most commonly used officially and in business, according to South Africa's 2011 census. https://csblackdevil.com/forums/forum/109-news/?do=add

  4. Around this time last year, we reported that Toyota's Gazoo Racing sub-brand was going to expand beyond Supra and 86. We speculated the Corolla Hatchback could get a GR variant, and a few months after that Toyota launched the GR Corolla. But Toyota is not done with its sports car brand. The automaker recently added a manual transmission option to the Supra and is focused on expanding the sub-brand. The next model up might be the Camry, which would compete well against the Kia K5 GT and the Hyundai Sonata N Line. In an interview with MotorTrend, Bob Carter, executive vice president of sales at Toyota Motor Company, told us to "stay tuned" when asked about a sedan joining the GR lineup. While he didn't elaborate, there's space for it in the lineup—especially after he told us last year he didn't see SUVs under the GR sub-brand in the short term. While our mind went to Camry, the sedan could also be a four-door version of the GR Corolla, which is rumored to be in development per reports out of Japan. Cooper Ericksen, group vice president of product planning and strategy at Toyota, said the GT3 GR Concept, which was shown at this year's Tokyo Auto Salon, is moving into development stage. While GR can also benefit from having a GT car in its lineup, sport sedans are more po[CENSORED]r. Toyota is also looking at electrification to help its performance brand. While Ericksen said nothing is imminent at this point, the Japanese automaker is looking at its future. "Electrification coming to GR is something we're talking about. In the long term, what is the best way to deliver what GR is and what does electrification have to do with that," Ericksen said. "The key is fun to drive, lightweight, track performance, so if we can deliver that with an EV, we might look into that." Earlier this year, Toyota also revealed the bZ4X GR Sport Concept, which could be the first EV under the GR sub-brand. It would also be the first SUV under Toyota's performance-oriented arm. Ericksen also said Toyota is looking at other zero emissions options, as they are currently testing a GR Corolla with a hydrogen combustion engine, "which is basically a three-cylinder internal combustion engine with a few modifications so its running on hydrogen," according to Ericksen. When would we see the first electrified GR model, you may ask? "In five months? No. In five years? Quite possibly," Carter said. Ericksen also added that by 2030 Toyota plans to have between 80 and 90 percent of its global volume electrified. "So, do the math. At some point," he said. https://csblackdevil.com/forums/forum/901-auto-moto/?do=add
  5. Heading into Tuesday evening's three-way debate among New York's Democratic candidates for governor, just about everyone anticipating the first such face-off of the election predicted incumbent Kathy Hochul would prove the target. And at the end of the one hour session, Rep. Thomas R. Suozzi of Nassau County and New York City Public Advocate Jumaane D. Williams – her two challengers – did not disappoint. Suozzi and Williams reiterated their criticism of Hochul and her nine-month tenure since succeeding Andrew M. Cuomo on a variety of fronts – especially crime and state support for a new Buffalo Bills stadium. But the governor never wavered from her stock answers of the budget process and the early campaign, defending measures she says begin addressing crime while pointing to the economic benefits she foresees from New York's $600 million contribution to the new facility in Orchard Park. Still, her opponents never strayed from their criticism. Suozzi, a three-term congressman who also served as Nassau County executive and mayor of Glen Cove, proved relentless – just as he has along the campaign trail. Even while providing answers to unrelated questions – neither WCBS-TV reporter on the panel asked a stadium question – Suozzi found a way to lambaste the deal she brokered with the Bills. "It was a secret deal that did not go through any public hearings despite it being the largest giveaway in the history of the NFL," he said. Williams, who lost a close primary race to Hochul for lieutenant governor in 2018, joined in by noting his proposal for a $1 billion program to combat gun violence never had a chance under her administration, while hundreds of millions for a stadium he continually emphasized would be built in the suburbs did. But Hochul returned to her contention that the new facility will pay for itself through salaries and taxes collected (Williams countered that many economists disagree with the premise) and insisted the deal is necessary for an integral part of Western New York. "I understand people's questions," she said. "But the Buffalo Bills are the identity of Western New York in the same way Broadway is to New York City. I made sure they will stay there for the next 30 years." During exchanges on crime, which many surveys rate as New Yorkers' top concern, Suozzi homed in on the governor's tenure as a suburban congresswoman and her top NRA rating during her 2011-2012 tenure. "She took money from the NRA," Suozzi said, adding that Hochul said she needed NRA backing in her district. "Where is the principle in that? I don't understand that." Williams, meanwhile, told the governor he was crafting gun violence legislation "while you were touting your A rating from the NRA." As she has throughout her time on the statewide scene, Hochul defended her change in position from staunch gun-rights advocate to her demands for strict new controls – especially following a white supremacist's rampage through a Jefferson Avenue supermarket on May 14 that claimed 10 lives. "I have evolved on that issue, and heaven help us if we don't get more people to evolve to see the light of day," she said. And she pointed to the package of 10 gun control bills she signed this week that she said leads the nation in controlling access to military style guns, such as raising the age for their purchase from 18 to 21. "It's an important first step in restoring peoples' faith," she said. On other issues, the trio expressed common sentiments. All expressed support for abortion rights as the Supreme Court nears an expected decision overturning Roe v. Wade. "I'm proud of it as the first woman governor of this state," Hochul said of her position, "and I want to send the message that New York will protect its women." They also addressed a host of other issues such as cannabis control, New York City issues such as congestion pricing – a fee system aimed to make entering the city's busiest streets – and extending voting to non-citizens with green cards. Williams approves, saying he wants "everyone to be civically engaged." Suozzi said he would not support such a proposal, while Hochul said she will not propose extending such an initiative enacted in New York City to the rest of the state. One more debate among the Democratic hopefuls is slated for June 16 in New York City before the June 28 gubernatorial primary. At least one meeting among Republican primary candidates is also expected later this month. https://csblackdevil.com/forums/forum/109-news/?do=add

  7. Directly on the heels of record-setting car and truck sales in Indianapolis comes Mecum Auctions' big bid in Tulsa, Oklahoma, June 9-11. And, when it comes to performance trucks that will cross the block, this sweet 1991 GMC Syclone-Lot F123-is one rig we're really interested in following. Our focus on hot-rod rigs at the auctions stems from a custom 1990 Chevrolet Silverado 454 SS pickup truck we featured, and a mint, all-original 1992 GMC Typhoon SUV, which were among the thousands of vehicles being sold at the Indy event. Nestled amid the myriad Chevy C10s and "Bullnose" 1980-1986 Ford pickups that are typically found at Mecum's auctions, this one-owner, all-original (save for an air-conditioning system that's been converted from Freon to R134A refrigerant), heated-garage-kept, 16,000-mile, all-wheel-drive, turbocharged rig is available at no reserve. Produced from 1991 to 1993, Syclone is the pickup version of Typhoon, GMC's 1992-1993 sport SUV. Produced by Production Automotive Services of Troy, Michigan, fewer than 3,000 of these pickups were made. This is an excellent one-owner survivor. And, in the wake of the Mecum experience in Indy, where a 1979 Ford F-350 with a Cummins diesel underhood pulled in $220,000, we cautiously say the proverbial "sky" could be the price limit when the closing hammer drops on this unit for the final time. The GMC Syclone's Turbo Power Under the hood is a turbocharged 4.3-liter V-6 engine making 280 horsepower (at 4,400 rpm) and 350 lb-ft of torque (3,600 rpm). The powerplant features performance hardware such as unique intake and exhaust manifolds, a dual-bore throttle body, multiport EFI, lower-compression pistons, special intake and exhaust manifolds, and a water-to-air-intercooled Mitsubishi TD06-17C turbocharger. A four-speed automatic transmission is connected to a BorgWarner transfer case that distributes the engine's might to all four wheels, all the time. At 3,599 pounds (considerably less than Typhoon), this powertrain propelled Syclone to sub-5-second 0-60 mph elapsed times. One Cool Mod The Syclone's 16,000 original-miles engine is stock with the exception of an upgraded air-conditioning system. Gone is the hardware for R12 (Freon), replaced with more contemporary gear that supports using EPA-compliant R134A refrigerant. The fuel system is rejuvenated with stock-replacement pieces, and repops of the original Syclone decals and tonneau cover are now in place, but this OG sport truck is predominantly stock. It even rides on the tires it received at the factory. Interior Styling With the exception of the steering wheel, cloth manual-lumbar seats with red piping, and similarly colored accents on the door panels, this GMC Syclone's interior can easily be mixed and matched with pieces from a Typhoon's cabin, as they're the same. This Syclone Is Always Ready To Play Hard The 1991 GMC Syclone sits low to the ground, ready for spirited driving on pavement. Like Typhoon, the pickup is a street-only rig that was only available in black (although there were paint-color exceptions for two special-edition models that were built in the truck's first year)—and this rig's original finish still looks pretty good. Unlike Typhoon, Syclone has a self-leveling airbag suspension setup in the rear to help enhance the shocks' performance. The GMC Syclone Is Never Ready For Hard Work Precision Automotive Specialties makes it clear that GMC's Syclone pickup truck isn't one for hauling a bed full of home-building materials (500-pound payload limit). Towing was a no-no, too. It's built for hauling ass. Only. Typhoon Vs. Syclone: Same Thing's The Same Thing For all intents and purposes, and with the exception of the rear air suspension, steering wheel and subtle interior differences—and, of course, a bed versus a hatchback cargo area—1991's GMC Syclone is the template for Typhoons that followed a year later. The fascias, with their air dams and fog lights, are exactly the same. Watch! Diesel-Powered '79 Ford F-350 Goes For Big Money Don't believe us? Here's the actual footage from MotorTrend's coverage of the Mecum Auctions Indy event, where the aforementioned Cummins-swapped 1979 Ford F-350 pickup's $220,000 final bid tops prices for classic muscle by more than $100K. https://csblackdevil.com/forums/forum/901-auto-moto/?do=add
  8. Russian state media have confirmed the death of one of Moscow's top generals during heavy fighting in Ukraine's eastern Donbas region. Maj Gen Roman Kutuzov was killed leading an assault on a Ukrainian settlement in the region, a reporter with the state-owned Rossiya 1 said. Alexander Sladkov said Gen Kutuzov had been commanding troops from the self-declared Donetsk People's Republic. Russia's defence ministry has not commented on the reports. "The general had led soldiers into attack, as if there are not enough colonels," Mr Sladkov wrote on the Telegram social media app. "On the other hand, Roman was the same commander as everyone else, albeit a higher rank." Ukraine's military also confirmed the killing of Gen Kutuzov, without offering further details about the circumstances. His death comes as rumours circulated on social media that a second senior officer, Lt Gen Roman Berdnikov, commander of the 29th Army, was also killed in fighting over the weekend. The BBC cannot independently verify the claims. Russian commanders have been increasingly forced to the front in an attempt to drive forward the invasion and Moscow has confirmed the deaths of four senior generals. Kyiv claims to have killed 12 generals and Western intelligence officials say at least seven senior commanders have been killed. But there has been confusion over reports of the deaths of several other Russian officers. Three generals that Ukrainian forces claimed to have killed have subsequently been reported to be alive. In March, Ukrainian forces said Maj Gen Vitaly Gerasimov had been killed outside the country's second city of Kharkiv. However, on 23 May Russian state media said he had been awarded a state honour and dismissed reports of his death. Another commander, Maj Gen Magomed Tushaev, also appeared to be still alive and periodically appears in videos posted to social media. And on 18 March, Kyiv alleged that Lt Gen Andrey Mordvichev had been killed in an airstrike in the Kherson region. However, he later appeared in a video meeting with Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov and on 30 May BBC Russia confirmed that he was still alive. The deaths of generals are rarely officially acknowledged in Russia. In the case of Maj Gen Vladimir Frolov, no information about his death had appeared in state media prior to his funeral in St Petersburg in April. Russia lists military deaths as state secrets even in times of peace and has not updated its official casualty figures in Ukraine since 25 March, when it said that 1,351 Russian soldiers had been killed since President Vladimir Putin launched his invasion of Ukraine on 24 February. In March, an official within President Volodymyr Zelensky's inner circle told the Wall Street journal that a team of Ukrainian military intelligence officers had been tasked with locating and targeting Russia's officer class. "They look for high profile generals, pilots, artillery commanders," the official said. They added that the officers were then targeted either with sniper fire or artillery. Last month, the New York Times reported that the US has provided intelligence to Ukraine, allowing them to target a number of the generals who have been killed in action. https://csblackdevil.com/forums/forum/109-news/?do=add

  10. The Moto E32s is the first addition in 2022 to the budget E series from Motorola. It features a new design and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G37 SoC. The Motorola E32s also offers a 90Hz LCD display and runs Android 12 out of the box. These features are quite interesting for the price, making the Moto E32s a worthy option for those on a budget. I spent some time with the Moto E32s and here are my first impressions. One look at the Moto E32s and you'll find it hard to believe that it is a budget smartphone. It looks a lot more premium than the price it commands. The Moto E32s has a plastic construction but feels sturdy in the hand. The back panel of the device is made of a glossy acrylic that resembles glass, adding to the appeal of the Moto E32s. However, it does pick up smudges rather easily, so you should be better off using it with the case provided in the box. The frame of the Moto E32s is boxy and measures 8.49mm in thickness. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner which is easy to reach and this sits almost flush with the frame. Motorola has curved the corners of the frame, so it doesn't dig into your palm while holding it. The Moto E32s weighs 185g which I found to be manageable. The phone is IP52 rated for dust and water resistance. The Moto E32s sports a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS display. It has a 90Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 500 nits, and Panda glass for scratch protection. It has a hole-punch cutout at the top for an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The display has noticeably thick bezels but these are acceptable in the budget segment. Motorola has picked the MediaTek Helio G37 SoC to power the Moto E32s which is the same SoC used in the Moto G22 in India. The two variants of the Moto E32s include one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and the other with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. As a part of an introductory offer, Motorola is offering the base variant at Rs. 8,999 for a limited time. The higher variant is priced at Rs.9,999. Motorola hasn't clarified what the prices will be post the introductory offer. You can pick the Moto E32s in either Slate Gray or Misty Silver. You get a triple camera set up on the Moto E32s consisting of a 16-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera. The off-centre camera module does protrude causing the phone to wobble when trying to use it on a flat surface. You get a 5,000mAh battery in the Moto E32s and it is capable of 15W fast charging. However, Motorola only bundles a 10W charger in the box. The SIM tray of the Moto E32s has dual nano-SIM slots and a dedicated slot for the microSD card. The Moto E32s supports Bluetooth 5, dual-band Wi-Fi, and dual 4G VoLTE support. In terms of software, the Moto E32s runs Android 12 out of the box with its custom MyUX customisations on top. Motorola promises two years of Android security updates for this smartphone. The Moto E32s has some preinstalled apps such as Dailyhunt, Facebook, and Josh. I also came across a notification for Glance lockscreen wallpapers but couldn't find it in the settings. You also get a fair amount of Google apps preinstalled. If you don't have much use for them, you would be better off uninstalling these apps to free up some internal storage. With the addition of the Moto E32s, consumers now have a new option of a budget smartphone running near stock Android. Motorola has designed the E32s well and it looks more premium than the price it commands. It faces competition from the Redmi 10A which is priced lower than the base variant of the E32s. The Realme C31 and the Redmi 10 also compete in the same price segment. The Moto E32s does show promise, but does it deliver good performance on all fronts? I will be testing out the performance, battery life and the cameras in the full review, so stay tuned to Gadgets 360. Should you buy a 4G or 5G budget phone? We discuss this on Orbital, the Gadgets 360 podcast. Orbital is available on Spotify, Gaana, JioSaavn, Google Podcasts, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and wherever you get your podcasts. https://csblackdevil.com/forums/forum/18898-gadgets/?do=add
  11. The human body needs sleep as much as it needs food and water. Yet many people fail to get enough, causing both mind and body to suffer. People who struggle for shut-eye could benefit from monitoring their sleep, but they have limited options for doing so. In a new study in ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, one team describes a potential solution: a self-powering smart pillow that tracks the position of the head. Studies have linked chronic lack of sleep to physical ailments, such as diabetes and heart disease, as well as mental health issues. Those interested in getting a better handle on what's happening to them at night have two primary options. They can take a sleep test conducted in a medical facility, or they can use an app through a smartphone or smart watch—a much more convenient, but less accurate choice. Recognizing the need, many groups have begun developing new sleep monitoring systems using triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs). These self-powering systems have taken the form of eye masks, belts, patches and even bed sheets. Ding Li, Zhong Lin Wang and their colleagues wanted to adapt this approach to create a less restrictive, more comfortable version that focuses on the movement of the head during sleep. To construct this new smart pillow, the researchers formulated a flexible, porous polymer triboelectric layer. Movement between the head and this layer changes the electric field around nearby electrodes, generating a current. They strung together several of these self-powering sensors to create a flexible and breathable TENG (FB-TENG) array that can be placed atop an ordinary pillow. This system could generate voltage that corresponded to the amount of applied pressure, and it could track the movement of a finger tracing out letters. The FB-TENG also could capture the pressure distribution of a fake human head as it shifted position. This smart pillow could have uses beyond tracking sleep, the researchers say. For example, the system could monitor patients with diseases that affect the movement of the head, such as the degenerative neck disorder cervical spondylosis. What's more, the smart pillow could be adapted to offer an early warning system for those at risk of falling out of bed, they say. https://csblackdevil.com/forums/forum/828-software/?do=add
  12. South Korean overclocker, Biso Biso, from Team EVGA has absolutely crushed various GPU world records with the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti KINGPIN graphics card. The insane results go off to show the tremendous amounts of horsepower packed within NVIDIA's flagship graphics card when it is put under extreme cooling with unconstrained power limits. EVGA's Overclocker Pushes The GeForce RTX 3090 Ti KINGPIN Graphics Card To Almost 3 GHz GPU OC, 24 Gbps Memory With LN2 Cooling Renowned overclockers such as OGS from Team Galax and Rauf have been trying to claim the top spots with the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti HOF OC LAB edition graphics card but EVGA has one-upped them with their recent LN2 OC spree. Renowned overclocker of Team EVGA, Biso Biso, has been messing around with a pair of EVGA's GeForce RTX 3090 Ti KINGPIN graphics cards & the results are finally in. But before we get to the results, we have to talk about the impressive overclocking setup that was used to achieve these record-shattering results. The system is comprised of an EVGA Z690 KINGPIN DARK motherboard, featuring an Intel Core i9-12900K CPU running at up to 5.4 GHz across an 8+2 core configuration, a pair of G.Skill's Trident Z5 memory running at DDR5-6400 speeds (CL32) & all under an extreme custom-loop setup. The dual EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics cards used full-on LN2 cooling with custom pots, and a Noctua fan to keep the electrical components in check. The duo of cards features a total of 4 16-pin power connectors (2 per graphics card). This means that the GPUs had to be supplied power through two separate EVGA SuperNova 1600W T2 PSU units. Each card was plugged in with a total of six 8-pin connectors to feed the dual 16-pin adapters. That's a total of twelve 8-pin connectors leading from the PSU, into four 16-pin connectors. We have been told that each EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti KINGPIN graphics card was sipping over 1200 Watts of power. So with two cards, that's over 2500 Watts of power for the GPUs alone. To put things into perspective: A single 'reference' GeForce RTX 3090 Ti requires 1x 16-pin connector A single 'KINGPIN' GeForce RTX 3090 Ti requires 2 x 16-pin connectors A single 16-pin connector requires a 3 x 8-pin adapter A dual 16-pin connector config required 6 x 8-pin adapters A dual 3090 Ti KINGPIN config requires 12 x 8-pin adapters A single 3090 Ti Gen 5 connector is rated at up to 450W (+PCIe power) A dual 3090 Ti Gen 5 connector config is rated at up to 900W (+PCIe power) Coming to the test results, the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics cards were tested in various 3DMark and Unigine Superposition GPU benchmarks. 3DMark Port Royal (1x) - 19,880 - 1st of 3090Ti 3DMark TSE (1x) - 14,977 -WR 3DMark TSE (2x) - 24,361 - 2nd 3DMark TSE Graphic Score (2x) - 27,383 - WR Unigine Superposition 8k - 11,628 - 2nd Unigine Superposition 1080p - 19,201 - WR Unigine Superposition 4K - 25,901 - WR What's even more impressive is that the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti KINGPIN managed to reach almost 3 GHz with a maximum GPU clock speed reported at 2925 MHz. This is simply amazing for NVIDIA's flagship GPU. The graphics card was mostly running at below-zero temps at around 40C thanks to LN2 cooling. The memory was able to hit clock speeds of up to 12,000 MHz or 24 Gbps. That's 1.152 TB/s of bandwidth produced through an overclock of +1500 MHz. We were told that the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti's GDDR6X memory overclocks surprisingly well and can even hit 24 Gbps at ambient temperatures. There was a bug on the other 3090 Ti OC variants that limited memory overclock to just +700-1000 MHz overclocks on LN2 but the PCB design for the KINGPIN allows for this impressive feat to be achieved with ease. With that said, the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti KINGPIN is definitely an insane technical marvel from team EVGA, making it a great product for overclockers. For gamers, it may not be as practical given its high price and limited nature but products like these do go off to show the true potential that GPUs hold within them. https://csblackdevil.com/forums/forum/827-hardware/?do=add
  13. Warner Bros. Entertainment has released a new gameplay trailer for Gotham Knights, showing off the different navigation and combat styles of Dick Grayson, aka Nightwing, and Jason Todd, aka Red Hood. The gameplay looks...okay. It certainly doesn't look terrible--the far greater tragedy is that Gotham Knights has apparently nerfed Grayson's magnificent ass, which looks positively flat in all the gameplay. Gotham Knights utilizes a combat system of parries, dodges, and special strikes that looks similar to the Batman: Arkham series. The game seems to feature a similar navigation system as well, allowing you to stealth your way through encounters and carefully move from building to building to reach your objective. As Gotham Knights features four potential playable characters, each presents a unique playstyle. The trailer only covers Nightwing and Red Hood. Presumably, Batgirl and Robin are being saved for another video later down the line. As seen in the trailer, Nightwing is an acrobatic close-range fighter who can add shock and freeze damage to his Escrima Sticks to stun his foes and pull off quick combos. To get around the city, he utilizes a glider. In contrast, Red Hood uses firearms for far stronger and significantly louder long-range attacks, punishing foes before they can even close with him. Jason can navigate the city by using the energy of his soul to springboard through the air. The trailer showcased how these two different playstyles compare when tackling the same story mission solo, as well as how they can both complement one another if you're playing Gotham Knights in two-player co-op. Interestingly, the trailer also seems to hint that the Court of Owls is introduced rather early in Gotham Knights' storyline--as opposed to revealing their involvement after a slow-burning mystery--and even showcases what combat against members of the organization looks like. The trailer gives us a taste of how gameplay will look on the Batcycle, which looks a lot like a more controlled variation of the Batmobile from Arkham Knight. 14. Developer Everguild has announced its newest project, a digital trading card game themed after Warhammer 40,000 called Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge. All of this information and more regarding other Warhammer titles were revealed during our Warhammer Skulls 2022 Event stream hosted right here on Pocket Gamer! Warpforge is looking to give the Warhammer franchise a Hearthstone-esque treatment, giving fans of the series a free-to-play collectible card game set within the 41st Millenium. This means players can expect to tie together all of that era’s factions in card format, allowing you to build your deck using a mash of all of the various Space Marine Chapters, Orks, Necrons, and more. Much like Hearthstone or the more recently launched Legends of Runeterra, you can expect lots of lore interactions between prominent hero cards and a generally very high production budget, meaning lots of beautiful visuals and attention to detail with each and every card. Combine this with some exciting variety of game modes and a general deep love for the universe and this is looking to be potentially one of the biggest Warhammer releases yet. Those of you familiar with Everguild may recall that they created and have been running the other Warhammer digital card game The Horus Heresy: Legion. While support for Horus Heresy will continue, think of Warpforge as the next step in that line, taking what they’ve learned from years of operating on Horus and using that experience to handcraft an engaging and rich competitive card game. Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge is set for a 2023 launch on Steam first, followed by other platforms including mobile shortly thereafter, each with cross-platform support. Currently, you can wishlist the title on Steam, join the Discord, or visit the official website for a deeper look at the title. In the meantime, if you’d like to see all of the other massive announcements that mobile Warhammer games have been throwing out left and right, you can check out the video below for more information on the Warhammer Skulls 2022 event. https://csblackdevil.com/forums/forum/18883-mobile-games/?do=add
  15. 5G support is now expected when you buy a new smartphone, but Nokia is already looking to 6G and predicting it will arrive around 2030. As Business Insider reports, Nokia president and CEO Pekka Lundmark used a panel at the World Economic Forum in Davos last week to make some bold predictions about 6G adoption and what it means for how we communicate. And just like Huawei stated last year, Nokia says 6G will hit the market around 2030. Lundmark believes that by the time we get to 2030, "the smartphone as we know it today will not anymore be the most common interface." Instead, he believes the maturing of quantum computing combined with the physical and digital worlds growing together, means we'll interact through the metaverse and users will be used to entering virtual worlds where their actions are reflected in the real world. If Lundmark is right, then the smartphone would need to be replaced with worn objects that allow for a natural interaction with virtual worlds. The most obvious device for that is a much more advanced version of the smartglasses we see appearing today, perhaps with a neckband? While there is no question that 6G will launch, the time frame for it launching is going to have to be flexible. Lundmark said networks will need to be hundreds or thousands of times faster than 5G in order to support massive scale virtual world interaction. There's less than eight years until we reach 2030, and the world is just coming out of a pandemic and left with serious supply chain and manufacturing problems. Is a shift to 6G in or around 2030 realistic. https://csblackdevil.com/forums/forum/506-pc-games/?do=add
