https://www.arabnews.com/node/2025081/lifestyle Following a stellar Paris Haute Couture Week — where she walked for the likes of Fendi, Alaia, and Valentino — the French-Algerian rising star jetted off to the Big Apple, where she has also been taking New York Fashion Week by storm. The 19-year-old has appeared in a number of fall 2022 ready-to-wear shows in the city that never sleeps over the past few days, including Altuzarra, Khaite, Proenza Schouler, and Tory Burch. Bahia kicked things off at US label Proenza Schouler wearing loose granulated black leather pants with a strapless black peplum top. And she was not the only model of Arab heritage to walk the runway. Palestinian-Dutch model Bella Hadid donned a hooded black peplum turtleneck with a statement large gold brooch. The look was paired with an oversized black tote bag and grey to khaki loose-fitting trousers. Bahia went on to join the likes of Hadid’s sister Gigi on the runways of Khaite and Altuzarra. At Khaite, Paris-born Bahia stormed the runway in a black long-sleeved fringed dress with matching black kitten heels and rectangular sunglasses. Soon after, she went on to open the Altuzarra Fall 2022 show in a floor-length, baggy grey skirt, striped sweater, long beige coat, a balaclava, and a tweed tote bag. The teenager is quickly becoming one of the most in-demand models in the industry having become a runway fixture in just a couple of months after a breakthrough spring 2022 fashion month, where she walked in 65 shows. She has taken to the catwalks for a multitude of prestigious fashion houses including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Valentino. Signed to Women Management Paris, she made her runway debut in 2020 at the Louis Vuitton fall 2021 show and went on to star in the Parisian fashion luxury house’s campaign for fall last year. She has also featured in numerous campaigns for high-end fashion labels including Saint Laurent, and Max Mara, and has appeared in and on covers of prestigious fashion publications such as Vogue Italia.

https://www.pcgamer.com/elden-ring-reveals-the-confessor-and-samurai-classes/ In the runup to the game's release, FromSoftware is gradually revealing Elden Ring's playable classes: Today we got two more, the awesome-looking Confessor and a facemasked Samurai. The Confessor is "a church spy adept at covert operations. Equally adept with a sword as they are with their incantations." So, that's sounding like a hybrid dex / magic class, which is a fairly classic Souls build. It's also, interestingly enough, a theme in the lore: Dark Souls fans will recall that Vinheim boasted some especially stealthy magic-wielders. The Samurai, on the other hand, is "a capable fighter from the distant Land of Reeds. Handy with katana and longbows." Both of those weapons typically scale with dexterity in the Souls series, so that's what you'll be wanting to start as for a pure dex build (which is always a fantastic choice). We've previously seen the Bandit and the Astrologer classes, as well as the weird-ass Prisoner, and while it's easy enough to say that class X means build Y, that's not really how things tend to shake out in these games. The RPG side of the Souls games is very much bound-up in how you choose to develop your character over time, and it's perfectly possible (though some would argue not optimal) to start with a class that is theoretically a magic-wielder and build them into a club-swinging brute. This brings the total number of Elden Ring classes revealed so far to ten: The five that were available in the network test—Warrior, Enchanted Knight, Prophet, Champion, and Bloody Wolf—plus the Prisoner, Bandit, Astrologer, Confessor and Samurai. There may be more to come but don't expect a boatload: The Dark Souls games had 10 classes and Bloodborne had nine. We'll know for sure when the game launches on 25 February.Rich is a games journalist with 15 years' experience, beginning his career on Edge magazine before working for a wide range of outlets, including Ars Technica, Eurogamer, GamesRadar+, Gamespot, the Guardian, IGN, the New Statesman, Polygon, and Vice. He was the editor of Kotaku UK, the UK arm of Kotaku, for three years before joining PC Gamer. He is the author of a Brief History of Video Games, a full history of the medium, which the Midwest Book Review described as "[a] must-read for serious minded game historians and curious video game connoisseurs alike."

https://www.techspot.com/news/93401-awesome-if-impractical-keycaps-perfect-dinosaur-fans.html Artisan keycaps that eschew comfort and ergonomics for looks are becoming increasingly po[CENSORED]r these days, but few will stand out quite like these dinosaur models, which, if anything, should dissuade people from smashing their fists down on a keyboard before a rage quit. The Memeda Dinosaur Ages keycaps highlighted by PC Gamer are available to pre-order from Drop. You can purchase two different species of hand-painted dino—a Tyrannosaurus or Triceratops (coming soon)—and each one comes in four different colors: green, yellow-brown, light blue, and maroon. Given their sheer size and the amount of detail in each keycap, they’re not cheap: $39 for a single one. But then it’s not like you’re going to replace the majority of keys with these oversized novelties—that would definitely impact your words-per-minute speed. A more sensible option would be to replace a single, possibly less-used key such as Escape. The keycaps are made of resin and compatible with Cherry MX switches and clones. Memeda needs just 28 more purchasers at the time of writing to meet the minimum number of orders to fulfill the run. There are still seven days left, so it looks as if the target will be reached in time. There are a limited number of keycaps in this single production run, so you best move fast if you want to secure one. They’re expected to ship on June 20, 2022. For a slightly more subtle product, check out the Asus ROG Strix TouchStone novelty keycap that comes with actual fans you can spin. There’s also Jelly Key’s Retro TV Series that are modeled after retro arcade cabinet favorites like Tetris, Dr. Mario, Doom, and Pac-Man. They even have moveable joysticks.

https://www.techradar.com/news/the-new-look-gmail-is-here-now-heres-all-you-need-to-know Google has given users their first proper view of the new-look Gmail as the company looks to bring a host of its top products into one place. The company recently revealed that Gmail was set for a major makeover that would provide users with a one-stop shop for all their communication needs - whether via email, video conferencing, or instant messaging - without them having to open up extra tabs or windows. The rollout of the new Gmail appears to have already begun, with the company saying that users with personal Google accounts and those on Rapid Release domains are able to access it now. This new-look Gmail brings the likes of Google Chat, Spaces and Meet into a new, integrated view, the company revealed in a guide on its Gmail Help blog. As well as this integrated view, the new Gmail will allow users to view specific app menus in a collapsible panel, and get alerts for new Chat and Space messages through notification bubbles. Going forward, all Google apps in Gmail will be situated in a single menu on the left of the screen. Users can switch between them by clicking on an app's menu, or point to an icon to see a preview, with the new collapsible panel able to be hidden or displayed with a click at any time. Google also notes that individual and group chat messages can be accessed from the Chat tab, including opening into a small pop-up window at the bottom of your screen. Finally, notifications will now appear on the bottom left corner as a bubble whenever you get a new chat or space message, with a preview displaying when you point at the bubble. Clicking on the bubble will allow users to open the message and reply directly from the chat or spaces tab, or open up a small pop-up window for a more concrete view. Or if you'd rather just forget this method of communicating, notification bubbles can be turned off with a few clicks. Google says it is now preparing a wider rollout over the next few weeks, with Scheduled Release domains next to begin receiving the new look on February 28. Once launched, users will be able to enable the new view by navigating to Settings > Quick Settings > Try out the new Gmail view, then in the new window, clicking Reload. These are the best online collaboration tools around today

https://www.pcgamer.com/surprise-were-getting-some-cyberpunk-2077-news-tomorrow/ CD Projekt Red is hosting a stream tomorrow that will presumably be going over some news for Cyberpunk 2077. It's kicking off on CD Projekt Red's Twitch channel on February 15 at 4 PM CET/ 3 PM GMT / 10 AM EST / 7 AM PST. While the bulk of the stream is likely to be taken up by Cyberpunk's next-gen update for consoles—which is currently due to release in the first quarter of 2022—there's a chance we'll be able to peep some updates for the PC version, too. I'm also hoping for some info on The Witcher 3's next-gen update which got pushed back to later in 2022, but it's looking like the stream will be mostly focusing on Night City happenings. CDPR has kept pretty hush about Cyberpunk 2077 for a few months now. It postponed all fixes and free DLC for the game back in October before revealing in November that Cyberpunk's next "major update" would arrive in early 2022 alongside the next-gen update. It'll be interesting to see how the developer has been fixing up Night City—when Chris Livingston returned to Cyberpunk 2077 a year after release he found that while things were a lot more stable, it still felt like a game stuck in Early Access. A fresh writer in the industry, Mollie has been taken under PC Gamer's RGB-laden wing, making sure she doesn't get up to too much mischief on the site. She's not quite sure what a Command & Conquer is, but she can rattle on for hours about all the obscure rhythm games and strange MMOs from the 2000s. She's been cooking up all manner of news, previews and features while she's been here, but especially enjoys when she gets to write about Final Fantasy, Persona, The Sims, and whatever other game she's currently hopelessly fixated on. There's a good chance she's boring another PC Gamer writer about her latest obsession as we speak. I'm also hoping for some info on The Witcher 3's next-gen update which got pushed back to later in 2022, but it's looking like the stream will be mostly focusing on Night City happenings. CDPR has kept pretty hush about Cyberpunk 2077 for a few months now.

https://www.techspot.com/news/93387-nvidia-could-readying-two-new-rtx-3050-models.html Although Nvidia's RTX 3050 does tick most of the boxes for a mainstream graphics card, availability has been far from ideal. The company is reportedly working on a solution to this problem that would come in the form of additional RTX 3050 models based on the smaller GA107 die. Last month, Nvidia’s RTX 3050 launched to great reviews, making a much better first impression when compared to AMD’s RX 6500 XT. Unfortunately for many would-be buyers, it sold out in a matter of hours and pricing also shot up to less palatable levels. Part of the problem is that Nvidia chose to use a cut-down version of the GA106 die from the RTX 3060, which is relatively large and expensive. There are only so many GA106 dies you can fit on a wafer, so the decision was likely motivated by the relatively poor yield of Samsung’s 8nm process node. In other words, Nvidia may be reusing defective RTX 3060 dies to produce RTX 3050 graphics cards, so availability is still far from ideal. That said, Nvidia is rumored to have at least two other models in the works, both of which could be based on the GA107 die. This is the same diminutive Ampere die that powers RTX 3050 laptop graphics solutions, which means it could have slightly lower power requirements when compared to the existing RTX 3050 desktop card. The GA107 die offers the same 2,560 CUDA cores, 80 TMUs, 32 ROPs, 80 Tensor cores, and 20 RT cores as the GA106-150, as well as a 128-bit memory bus and eight PCIe 4.0 lanes. But more importantly, it’s said to be pin-compatible with the latter part, so manufacturers should have an easy time integrating it into their existing PCB designs. If a recent TechPowerUp entry (spotted by Twitter user @harukaze5719) is to be believed, Nvidia is also readying an RTX 3050 variant with only 4 gigabytes of GDDR6, presumably to meet a lower price point of $199. This could be Team Green’s response to AMD’s RX 6500 XT — a graphics card that isn’t appealing to miners and is relatively easy to produce in large quantities.

https://www.techradar.com/news/this-microsoft-teams-update-will-help-you-cut-through-all-the-nonsense Finding the right chats in Microsoft Teams will soon be a lot easier thanks to a new update that looks to help users focus better. The video conferencing tool is adding new filters within the Chat app on Teams that will remove meeting chats and chats with bots, giving users a much more streamlined look at their conversations. According to the official Microsoft 365 roadmap entry, the filter will work across group chats as well as one on one conversations, helping users stay focused on the messages that matter. The feature is still in development, but the roadmap has noted a launch date of March 2022, meaning it should arrive in the next few weeks, adding it will be available to all Microsoft Teams users across web and Mac devices. Microsoft has been working hard to make Teams an integral part of workers' everyday lives, adding a wealth of new features and updates to the platform to encourage hybrid working. This includes the ability to pin messages in Microsoft Teams, much like in Slack or Telegram, allowing users to attach a specific message to the top of the channel so that it’s always visible to other participants, regardless of the number of messages that came afterwards. The most recent Microsoft financial reports found that Teams now boasts over 270 million monthly active users (MAUs), up from the 250 million MAUs that the company reported just six months ago. And recent data collected by software firm StarLeaf found almost all (97%) businesses say that video conferencing tools such as Zoom, Webex and Microsoft Teams are now essential to their operations. More than half (57%) of businesses surveyed said their company would not be able to operate for more than an hour without access to their communications tools, while 27% admitted they would struggle to function for even 30 minutes. Valentine’s Day is here again, and couples all around the world, and in Saudi Arabia too, are looking for something special to express their love for their significant other. They may be buying them a gift, taking them to the restaurant of their choosing or doing some kind of an activity together. One perfume maker in Riyadh is inviting couples to enjoy an immersive Valentine’s Day experience with a difference. Reem Saleh, who has nine years’ experience in perfume making, told Arab News that she considers perfumes a great way to express love. So she has decided to dedicate a full perfume-making session for Riyadh couples, so they can live the day to the fullest. “The world of perfume is full of memories and romance. The special part of the brain is responsible for smell. It is called the limbic system and is responsible for memories, places and people. When you tune into a smell, your memory may bring you a flashback of beautiful days, people, places, or even countries you have visited.” “When we think of romance in any relationship, immediately our brains recall related perfumes,” she added. “The heart note of romantic perfumes often falls under the category of floral notes such as orchid, violet, jasmine and citrusy, combined with a little powdery and musk note.” The experience she offers is called “Create your special perfume with the love of your life.” It includes a Rolls-Royce pickup to drive couples from their home to all the locations they will visit throughout the day. I use them every day, and my husband makes sure to bring them to me always.” Abdullah Shaheen, a 31-year-old married Saudi engineer, is in love with perfumes and perfume-related gifts. He told Arab News, “I like perfume blends made in Riyadh in Souq Al Zel. My wife makes sure to surprise me with one of my favorite perfumes there. It is a very generous, affectionate gesture, and I wish her and all couples in Saudi Arabia a pleasant Valentine’s Day.”

https://www.pcgamer.com/heres-a-look-at-the-harkonnens-in-dune-spice-wars/ With Dune: Spice Wars bringing back a setting that basically defined the RTS for 20 years, there's a few things we know for sure. One of them is that there will be Atreides, our most noble protagonists, and the other? The other is that there will be Harkonnens. Developer Shiro Games has detailed a bit about the second faction for Spice Wars, the upcoming 4X/RTS hybrid, and their tactics look to be about as nasty and brutish as you'd think. Rich beyond reason, the Harkonnens are cruel mani[CENSORED]tors who favor a brute-force approach to victory. Their councillors are Glossu Rabban, a profit-focused governor, Piter de Vries, a spymaster and sabotage expert, Feyd-Rautha, a charming mani[CENSORED]tor, and Iakin Nefud, a general who spends lives like money. The Harkonnens will have the best spies and a powerful battlefield presence. They don't shy away from assassination, either, with a special drone unit specialized in just that. Harkonnen troops are apparently berserkers, and they get stronger the more damage they take. To aid in that, Harkonnen ranged weapon users use area of effect explosives to damage both the enemy and their own troops—it hurts their own side, yes, but it hurts the other side more! https://www.techspot.com/news/93370-intel-launch-first-blockchain-accelerator-later-year.html Intel is pulling up at seat at the blockchain table, and aims to mingle amongst other hardware players in the emerging category. The chipmaker on Friday declared its intent to contribute to the development of blockchain technologies through the creation of an efficient blockchain accelerator. Raja M. Koduri, SVP and GM of the accelerated computing systems and graphics group at Intel, said the architecture will be implemented on a tiny piece of silicon as to have a minimal impact on the supply chain. Koduri hinted at Intel's blockchain ambitions late last year, but this is the first true confirmation we've heard on the matter with supporting details. What’s more, Koduri said Intel expects its circuit innovations to deliver an accelerator that has over 1,000 times better performance per watt than mainstream GPUs for SHA-256 based mining. “We are mindful that some blockchains require an enormous amount of computing power, which unfortunately translates to an immense amount of energy. Our customers are asking for scalable and sustainable solutions, which is why we are focusing our efforts on realizing the full potential of blockchain by developing the most energy-efficient computing technologies at scale. “ – Intel’s Raja M. Koduri. The company has formed a new custom compute group within Intel’s accelerated computing systems and graphics business unit to support the initiative. Among its first customers will be Argo Blockchain, Block (formerly Square) and GRIID Infrastructure, a Bitcoin mining company. With Apple's new Tap to Pay on iPhone feature encroaching on Block's turf and CEO Jack Dorsey's interest in crypto, it's not a surprise to see them among the first in line for Intel's new hardware. Intel expects to ship its blockchain accelerator later this year and will share more information on the project at the International Solid State Circuit Conference (ISSCC) later this month.

https://www.techradar.com/news/you-wont-be-able-to-escape-microsoft-teams-inside-outlook-soon Escaping Microsoft Teams will soon be trickier than ever after the company announced another partnership for its video conferencing software. The software giant has revealed that it is working on a new feature that will let users run apps built for Microsoft Teams within its Outlook email service. The move should make online collaboration and communication a much more seamless and smoother experience, meaning users shouldn't need to constantly switch between Teams and Outlook to stay on top of their work. According to the official entry on the Microsoft 365 roadmap, the feature is currently in development, with a scheduled release date of December 2022. When released, it will be available for all web and desktop Outlook users across the world. As well as running apps built for Teams within Outlook, users will also be able to acquire and use these updated Teams apps (including personal tabs and/or search-based message extensions) without leaving the email platform. The feature could also form part of the highly-rumored all-new Windows 11 email service reportedly in development. Codenamed "Project Monarch", the service looks to greatly improve email on Windows 11, offering a truly cross-platform experience for users looking to embrace hybrid working. The new app will reportedly feature an overhauled interface similar to Outlook web, including the rounded corners and icons already seen in a raft of new Windows 11 apps as Microsoft looks to offer a unified design approach across its software suite. Microsoft has been hard at work recently on a series of updates and upgrades for Outlook as it looks to breathe new life into the often-maligned software. This includes an upcoming upgrade that will allow Outlook web users to customize the color of the events in their calendar app, the launch of spelling and grammar checks for Outlook on mobile platform, and another update to let users set a notice showing where they are working, whether that be at home, in the office, or elsewhere.
