Have you ever heard of the Ferrari 250 GT SWB Breadvan ? Probably not, and this is quite normal, because only one copy was made of this car, which was never marketed. And for good reason, the sports car , based on a 250 GTO, is the result of a quarrel between Enzo Ferrari and three of his employees, who then denounced the too strong influence Laura Dominicata Ferrari, the wife of the Commendatore on the management of the company. . Very badly took them, since they were then dismissed on the spot, finding themselves then hired at Scuderia Serenissima by Count Volpi. A real affront to Enzo Ferrari, who then canceled the order that the latter would have placed him for two Ferrari 250 GTOs supposed to be entered at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Volpi did not hear it that way and decided to take matters into his own hands, creating with the help of his three new employees the Ferrari 250 GT SWB Breadvan, an astonishing hunting station wagon, which was engaged in the race in Le Mans in 1962 but was forced to retire. It is therefore to this little-known piece of Ferrari and motorsport history that the Dutch coachbuilder Niels van Roij wanted to pay tribute, already known for his creations acclaimed throughout the world. We remember the Tesla Model S reinvented in the form of a hunting station wagon, which had a huge success with the press and the general public. This time, the firm is attacking a more sporty model therefore for its new creation, soberly called Ferrari Breadvan Hommage. To achieve this transformation, the bodywork specialists did not use a Ferrari 250 GTO, but instead opted for a 550 Maranello, then transformed into a "van" reminiscent of the original version. A specific rear part was therefore grafted to the car, giving it a look to say the least amazing, while the whole style has been revised in order to modernize. If the resemblance to the car that served as inspiration is not very visible, we nevertheless appreciate this rather successful transformation! Inside too, some changes have been made by Niels van Roij's teams . The original interior has in fact been redesigned, fitting new bucket seats covered with dark blue Alcantara, while quilted leather covers the central console and the storm doors. The whole is more than harmonious, combining the charm of the Ferrari 550 Maranelloa welcome touch of modernity. On the other hand, no evolution has been made to the mechanics, which therefore remains completely unchanged. This Ferrari 250 GT SWB Breadvan therefore retains the atmospheric 5.5-liter V12 of 485 horsepower of the Italian sports car, without anything having been touched. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to afford a copy of this car, since it is not intended to be sold. We will therefore be satisfied with these very beautiful photos, hoping one day to have the chance to observe it in real life more closely.

Pamela Anderson got married to bodyguard Dan Hayhurst in an intimate wedding ceremony, on Christmas Eve in a secluded island destination. The 53-year-old actor and model fell in love with Hayhurst during the lockdown, according to Daily Mail, which culminated in her fifth marriage. For the wedding, the Baywatch actor wore a beige vintage blouse from her closet and teamed it with a blue satin corset from Lace Embrace and a blue tulle skirt from Joanna Delaney’s collection. Styled by Janet Adrienne Ross, the look was completed with an organza polka-dotted white veil from Valentino. Interestingly, Anderson ditched fancy footwear for her wedding; instead, she opted for knee-high boots. “A true West Coast woman @PamelaAnderson had boots underneath her dress for her winter wonderland wedding on Christmas Eve!” author and photographer Heather Ross, who clicked the wedding pictures, wrote on Instagram.

THURSDAY, Jan. 28, 2021 (HealthDay News) -- Schizophrenia is second only to age when it comes to risk factors for dying from COVID-19, new research suggests. People with this mental illness are known to be at greater risk for contracting COVID-19, but the new study shows they are also more likely to die from this virus. "Old age is still the most important risk factor for dying of COVID-19, but in our study, schizophrenia surpassed even heart, lung and kidney disease," said study author Dr. Donald Goff, director of the Institute for Psychiatric Research at NYU Langone in New York City. "We believe that people with schizophrenia should be prioritized in terms of receiving COVID 19 vaccinations and encouraged to observe safety precautions," said Goff, who is also a psychiatry professor at NYU Langone. Symptoms of schizophrenia include hallucinations, delusions and disorganized thinking. The illness often first appears in the late teens to early 30s, and people with schizophrenia are known to die earlier than people without it, according to the U.S. National Institute of Mental Health. In the study, people with schizophrenia were nearly three times more likely to die from COVID-19, compared to individuals without the illness, and this held even after researchers took other factors that affect risk of dying from COVID into account. "The higher risk was expected, but the magnitude was unexpected," Goff said. And the increased chance of dying is not tied to risks known to travel with mental illness such as higher rates of heart disease, diabetes and smoking. "There may be immune deficits associated with the illness that could be related to genetics," Goff said. Alternatively, some of the medications that treat schizophrenia cause weight gain and increased risk for diabetes and could play a role, he explained. The next step is to investigate whether these drugs affect chances of dying from COVID-19, he said. Goff and colleagues reviewed medical records from almost 7,350 men and women treated for COVID-19 in New York last March, April and May. Of these, 14% were diagnosed with schizophrenia, mood disorders or anxiety, but only those with schizophrenia were more likely to die from COVID once infected. "It's reassuring that people with other mental health problems such as mood or anxiety disorders were not at increased risk of death from coronavirus infection," Goff said. The study was published Jan. 27 in JAMA Psychiatry. People with schizophrenia and their caregivers need to double down on efforts to prevent COVID-19, including wearing masks and practicing social distancing, said Dr. Jeffrey Borenstein, president and CEO of the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation in New York City. He was not part of the new study. "They need to follow all of the safety precautions to reduce chances of becoming infected, and as soon as a person is able to, they should take the vaccine, which offers significant protection with regards to COVID-19," Borenstein said. It's also important to manage the symptoms of schizophrenia with medication and self-care, he said. Living through a pandemic and all of the fear and restrictions it adds to daily life is stressful, and stress is known to make symptoms of mental illness, including schizophrenia, worse, Borenstein noted. Staying connected can help buffer stress. "You can be careful and still keep in touch with others by phone, Zoom, FaceTime or in a safe way outdoors as long as you are socially distant and wearing a mask," he said. Taking walks outside is also safe and counts as exercise. Exercise is known to improve physical and mental health for people with schizophrenia, Borenstein added. More information The Brain and Behavior Research Foundation has more about schizophrenia and its treatments. After weeks of competition, it's official: the Mercedes GLA becomes the most beautiful car of the year, winning the final against the Mazda MX-30. It had been two months since the competition was launched, and now we finally know the one that was voted Most beautiful car of the year 2021. It is the new Mercedes GLA , which finally dethroned the Mazda MX-30 against which she fought in the final, after the successive elimination of the other models, namely the Honda E, the Skoda Enyaq and the Opel Mokka-e. A victory that sounds like a small revenge for the star brand, after having seen its Class A and CLA be eliminated from previous editions. And what a victory! Because many Internet users have preferred the German SUV to the Japanese model, since the latter was elected at 60.73%. Among the voters, one lucky person will also be offered a copy of this Mercedes GLA, as is the case every year at the end of the competition. But for the first time, no physical award ceremony, health measures required, while this one, which takes place at the foot of the Invalides, opens the As a reminder, participating models must have been launched in the year preceding the election, for a starting price of less than € 60,000, and must have been registered by the manufacturer directly. During this competition, the public is the only judge, with an online voting system allowing them to choose their favorite after a simple registration on the event site. No professional judgment therefore, unlike other competitions such as the Car of the Year . A jury is nevertheless set up to elect the winners of other categories, such as the hypercar of the year, the most beautiful interior or the Grand Prix du Design. We invite you to discover them now, just below!

The year 2020 made face masks a necessity when stepping out of the house. Today, they are as important as our wallets or keys. But, it is important to understand that since this piece of fabric covers our nose and mouth, it is very crucial to clean it in a proper manner after use. According to the Centres for Disease Control (CDC), we should wash our face mask regularly depending on the frequency of use, but how often is “regularly” is the question we are here to answer today. The masks most commonly used are cloth, N95, and disposable masks. Experts suggest that cloth masks should be washed after every use. “It is best to have two masks to wear alternatively so that we have at least one clean mask available at all times. One reusable mask can be worn for one entire day and then can be washed before going to bed the same day. However, it needs to be changed if it becomes wet or soiled,” said Dr Bela Sharma, additional director, internal medicine, Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram Similarly, disposable or surgical masks should be disposed of properly after single use. However, it is best to use reusable masks as disposable masks pollute the environment. This general rule applies to everyone, from people who live in an area with very few COVID-19 cases to those who reside in a crowded city. N95 masks generally worn by healthcare professionals, can be reused up to five days, and need to be discarded then. Why is washing face masks necessary? “It is important to wash face masks because it gets contaminated. Also, since it touches the nose and mouth, it’s possible that viral particles on the mask go into our respiratory system and infect us. Washing our face mask regularly is hygienic and it also helps in preventing smells,” mentioned Dr Sharma. How to wash face masks? You can wash masks just like any other fabric item. You can either wash it in the washing machine or by hand with soap and water. Using soap is a good way to destroy the virus, if at all it is on it. It is best to use hot water while washing a face mask. Also, if your mask is visibly soiled, or you have coughed and sneezed into it, you must wash it as soon you get the opportunity to, post which wash our hands too. If one can make a double-layered mask, an additional layer of tissue can be placed between the two layers for extra filtration.

Normally, when someone receives a letter from a loved one, they read it and then carefully store it away. But not Brooklyn Beckham. The 21-year-old model has tattooed an entire letter that was written to him by fiancée Nicola Peltz, a 26-year-old American actress. Beckham has even shared the letter on his Instagram along with a caption that reads: “Love letters n the letter, Peltz has suggested that Beckham reflect on her message “whenever he feels anxious”. The tattoo reads: “My forever boy. Read this anytime you feel anxious. I want you to know how deeply loved you are. You have the kindest heart I’ve ever met and hope I never go a day without your love. I think you are so incredible. Just we can get through it all together if you breathe slow and trust. I love you beyond.” According to a report in The Independent, this is Beckham junior’s fifth tattoo tribute to his fiancee. The letter rests on his nape, underneath another one that has Peltz’s name and an image of her eyes.

The father-of-four was looking serious while getting off the plane with the members of his team. Kanye had no smile on his mask-free face and he rocked distressed leather pants and a mustard hoodie for his arrival in the city. He also wore his Yeezy Foam Runners to feel relax. Earlier this month, a media outlet revealed that Kardashian and West were heading toward divorce after nearly seven years of marriage. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are the parents of four kids: 7-year-old daughter North, 5-year-old son Saint, 3-year-old daughter Chicago and 1-year-old son Psalm.

We know a little more about the new Volkswagen Golf R , which entered dealerships at the start of the year. A few months after being officially revealed, the most radical version of the Wolfburg compact now unveils its entire price list. It will then take no less than 50,260 € to offer you a copy of the German sportswoman, a price for the lower, since this one is then 7,000 more expensive than the previous generation, then displayed at 41,900 €. A difference which was explained in particular by the endowment in terms of equipment for a rich country on this new version. It will nevertheless also be necessary to reckon with a penalty of between 4 818 and 8 671 € according to the new scale, for CO2 emissions announced between 177 and 188 g / km depending on the options chosen. Suffice to say that this is a big budget, but there is no doubt that enthusiasts will answer the call once again, while thermal sports compacts are increasingly rare, Peugeot having said au- revisit its 308 GTi , while Renault consider phasing out its Mégane RS in the coming years. Already available to order, the new Volkswagen Golf R displays a rather generous standard endowment, including, among other things, semi-autonomous driving, Matrix LED lights , hands-free access and starting as well as the reversing camera and the 10 inch touch screen. A nice list of equipment, which can obviously be supplemented by a wide choice of options. Among them is the Akrapovic exhaust(€ 3,990), controlled depreciation (€ 910) or the R-Performance pack (€ 2,210), among others. The latter then incorporates 19-inch rims fitted with wider tires and protected by anti-theft nuts, progressive steering, as well as an increase in maximum speed, which then goes to 270 km / h. Not necessarily essential, but which can be interesting if you like to go tickle the accelerator pedal on the Autobahn. Finally, it should be noted that two shades are offered in addition, namely Lapiz blue and Intense black, both billed at € 710. Visit the online configurator to discover all the available options!

Not only are they hailed for their multi-tasking abilities, but women are also tasked with many responsibilities which, quite often, end up making them feel exhausted and stressed. Stress can be detrimental to one’s health. It mostly manifests as fatigue, irritability, emotional meltdown, loss of or excessive appetite, hair fall, skin breakouts, etc. Among other things it also leads to premature aging. Arouba Kabir, a mental health counsellor, wellness coach, and the founder of Enso Wellness, tells indianexpress.com that premature aging doesn’t necessarily mean getting wrinkles and dark spots as is usually advertised. “It is accompanied by issues more grave like weakening of bodies and mind, and severe diseases later in life like arthritis, osteoporosis, ectopic pregnancies, infertility, hormonal dysregulation, diabetes and various other lifestyle disorders.” Kabir further explains that when estrogen is lowered in the body, because of cortisol (stress hormone) production, all hormonal imbalance symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, sleep problems and mood swings get worse. “High cortisol levels from stress also reduce serotonin levels, so a woman may be even more moody, depressed, and have trouble sleeping. So stress, which is endemic in our society, if not managed, can cause many other important hormones to go out of balance.
