  1. akistan Army helicopters embarked on a "search flight" on Saturday but returned to Skardu after they were unable to locate three climbers, including Pakistan's Muhammad Ali Sadpara, who went missing while attempting to summit the world's second-highest mountain, K2. Sadpara, John Snorri from Iceland and MP Mohr from Chile have not been contacted since the three began their push for the K2 summit from camp 3 at midnight between Thursday and Friday, according to their team. News of the missing men comes a day after a Bulgarian mountaineer was confirmed to have died on K2. At the time the three began their summit attempt, 18 members of one of the expedition teams decided to abandon their attempt and spent the night at camp 3, choosing instead to descend on Friday morning. According to the Alpine Club, two Pakistan Army helicopters started a search and rescue mission on Saturday at 11am to locate the three missing climbers who at the time had not been contacted for over 30 hours. Chhang Dawa Sherpa, the team leader of the SST winter expedition team, said that the army's helicopter made "a search flight almost up to 7000m and returned back to Skardu". "Unfortunately, they can't trace anything," he shared.

  5. New Audi e-tron GT - A few days before its official reveal, scheduled for February 9 , the new 100% electric sedan is already unveiling its final finery on the web and social networks. His first pictures apparently escaped the vigilance of Audi staff. Here is a preview of the new e-tron GT. We must admit that we were not expecting it anytime soon, this novelty of the Four Rings. It is the Spanish forum Cochespias, dedicated to automotive scoops, which is at the origin of this leak of official documents. However, the premature disclosure of these photos is far from surprising, as the features of the final model are similar to the eponymous concept car, seen at the end of 2018 at the Los Angeles show. Taycan's Daughter The content of the official press release is not yet known , but a lot is already known about Audi's first all-electric sedan. In particular, it rests on the platform of the Porsche Taycan, hence its low headroom of less than 1.40 m. But the new Audi e-tron GT mainly uses the technology of the sports car from Zuffenhausen , leaving the choice between a 79.2 kWh battery associated with a 408 hp engine (range: 414 kilometers ), and another of 93.4 kWh powering a block of 476 hp (range: 489 kilometers ). An RS variant Subsequently, an Audi e-tron GT RS will also make its appearance, with nearly 600 hp and even 650 hp thanks to an overboost , to propel it from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.5 s. See you on February 9, on Auto-Moto , to discover the definitive characteristics of this future Tesla Model S devourer , as well as its prices. Audi news:
  6. KARACHI: Former Pakistan cricketer Iqbal Qasim said on Thursday that Pakistan was in control of the second Test against South Africa due to the 123-run unbeaten partnership between Babar Azam and Fawad Alam for the fourth wicket. Pakistan had lost three wickets for just 22 in the first hour of the game as a great spell by left-arm Keshav Maharaj dismissed Imran Butt and Azhar. Qasim told ‘The News’ that Pinidi’s wicket seems better than the Karachi’s. “But in the last couple of days, the wicket will provide assistance to spinners,” he said. He said that Pakistan’s opening batsmen were once again exposed. “They are continuously struggling which is a concern as it puts pressure on the middle order,” he said. He applauded the performance of Baber and Fawad, who saved the side from destruction and batted with responsibility, and played according to the situation. “If they had not played well Pakistan would have been in big trouble in the first innings,” Qasim observed. He said that all the remaining batsmen should play responsibly and contribute enough on the second day to take Pakistan close to 400. He said it seems that Pindi pitch would be difficult to bat on in the last innings, and Proteas batsmen would struggle as they would have to bat in the fourth innings. “Pakistan batsmen should try to get the maximum lead,” he said.

  10. The Kia range will grow even further! Launched in 2016, the current generation of the Kia Sportage does not seem to really need to be renewed, while the restyling only dates from 2018. A relatively short life cycle therefore for the SUV, which should no longer too late to afford a new version, which should see the light of day in the coming months, probably in the summer. For now, not much is known about this new version, except that it should be based on the technical platform of the new Hyundai Tucson , of which we took the wheel a few weeks ago in its hybrid version. However, this did not prevent some from imagining what this newcomer could look like, like the illustrators of the Russian site Kolesa., who once again seem very inspired. So here we are gratified with two drawings signed Nikita Chuicko, suggesting the front and rear of the SUV, which changes radically to say the least. Indeed, this new version has little to do with the current one, with rounded lines, offering a certain bonhomie to the SUV. The Kia Sportage version 2021 indeed changes radically, with a new front end decked out with a large grille incorporating two boomerang-shaped lights. A layout that is reminiscent of the Hyundai Tucson, although the style of the two SUVs is obviously very different. No doubt the two will share similar parts for the bodywork, while they will be built on the same basis. Anyway, if this new version changes at all, the Tiger Nose grilleis still present, although largely redesigned. This is topped with the brand's new logo, which can also be found at the rear, in the center of the tailgate. The latter is for its part much more refined and consensual than the front, distinguished by new lights linked together by a light strip. An aesthetic detail that is still very trendy, although used excessively by manufacturers. For the moment, Kia has not given any information on the technical characteristics of its future Sportage, which should nevertheless not really revolutionize the market. And for good reason, it should undoubtedly inherit the engines of its cousin, the Hyundai Tucson, which offers gasoline and diesel units from 115 to 180 horsepower, some of which are also associated with a 48-volt hybridization.. The range is then completed by a hybrid version of 230 horsepower that we have already been able to test, while a plug-in hybrid variant enriched the range a few weeks ago, then developing 265 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, being able to travel around 50 kilometers in 100% electric mode, thanks to a 13.8 kWh lithium-ion battery. There is no doubt that the next Kia Sportage should take back these characteristics, while its price should remain fairly close to the € 42,600 requested for its Korean cousin. It should then compete head-on with the recently restyled Peugeot 3008, the Renault Kadjar or the new Nissan Qashqai .
  11. People across the globe need to be aware regarding nutrition and other lifestyle changes that can be implemented to help them recover and potentially reduce the risk of the same cancer recurring or a new one developing. World Cancer Day, which is observed to spread awareness, inspire change and reduce the global impact of cancer, is celebrated on February 4, every year. On this World Cancer Day, let's dive into the role of nutrition and lifestyle changes in order to reduce the risk of the deadly disease. Cancer doesn't develop overnight and certain lifestyle changes and foods can help us in preventing the life-threatening disease. Although the crucial role of nutrition on wellbeing was known several hundreds of years ago in ancient healing methods such as traditional Chinese medicine, it often plays a minor role in the modern society. A balanced plant-based diet with limited amounts of fast foods, sugar-sweetened drinks, red meat, and alcohol is recommended for enhancing health. Such a way of life helps to prevent both cancer and other non-communicable diseases (NCDs) because of the common risk factors. Although these facts are widely known, the figures are still alarming. Some of the most prevalent forms of cancer in India are caused by poor lifestyle and hygiene practices. For example, excessive smoking causes lung and oral cancer while consuming alcohol is the cause of cancer in the colon, liver, and breast. Dr ArunGiri, Director, Department of Surgical Oncology, Aakash Healthcare, Dwarka spoke to ANI about the role of nutrition and lifestyle changes that can help control cancer. "Tobacco and alcohol-free lifestyle can substantially reduce the cancer burden. Good nutrition aids in preventing cancer. Plant-based diets filled with green, leafy vegetables and lentils, legumes, and fruits provide nutrients as well as dietary fibre," said Dr ArunGiri. A minimum of 25 to 38 grams of dietary fibre is required, which one can get from one fruit a day, along with two cups of vegetables and lentils. One must also avoid processed food and packed fruit juices as they have extra salt and extra sugar, respectively, both key contributors to increasing cancer risk. One must also take care of the oil they use -- mustard oil, olive oil, and rice bran oil are considered good for overall health unless one is allergic to the ingredients. Cancer is also one of the biggest reasons that men and women lose their fertility as the cancer treatment of or around reproductive organs affects their capability. Therefore, a large number of cancer patients were not able to enjoy parenthood in the past. However, with the advancement in reproductive science, cancer patients can seek help from assisted reproductive technology (ART) and in vitro fertilization (IVF) processes to have children after their treatment is over. Dr Gauri Agarwal, IVF and Infertility Specialist, Founder- Seeds of Innocence, shed light on the role of food and nutrition in preparing the recovered cancer patients for parenthood. She said, "Nutrition plays a critical role in preparing the recovered cancer patient for parenthood. A balanced diet including whole grains, legumes, lentils, fruits, eggs, chicken, fish, dairy products such as milk, cheese, and yogurt is a must." "Grains provide carbohydrates, soluble fibre, and B vitamins while meat and pulses provide protein that help build and repair body tissue. Fruits and vegetables provide vitamins and minerals and dairy products provide calcium for better bones," added Dr Gauri. With the advancement in cancer treatment, a lot of patients are now hopeful of normal life after battling the deadly disease and hence do not want to miss out on parenthood. There is not much evidence for the risk of nutrition regarding cancer awareness though trials are going on but maintaining a healthy lifestyle, regular physical exercise, and eating fruits and vegetables ae important. Dr PaturiKarunakar Reddy, Consultant - Surgical Oncology, Apollo TeleHealth spoke to ANI about the association between obesity and breast cancer. Reddy said, "Obesity and certain comorbidities like diabetes have been proven risk factors for endometrial cancer and breast cancer. One should avoid tobacco, smoking, and alcohol consumption which are proven risk factors for oral cavity cancer and stomach and breast cancer." One should avoid sunlight exposure, although it is important for the human body and plays a major role in providing vitamin D. However, it is a proven risk factor for skin cancer like squamous cell and basal cell, and melanoma but a good amount of sunscreen could work wonders for the skin. Regarding cancer awareness, there have been screening programs, particularly for breast and cervix which should be encouraged more. Awareness for females above 40 and family history plays an important factor in breast cancer
  12. KARACHI: Although, Pakistani authorities have started vaccinating their frontline healthcare workers with Chinese vaccine Sinopharm all over the country, but that is not suitable and recommended for people above 60 years, pregnant women and lactating mothers, under 18 year-olds among others, the country’s top health authorities warned on Wednesday. Confirming that Sinopharm vaccine should not be given to people above 60 years of age, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Dr. Faisal Sultan said people above 60 would be vaccinated with Oxford-AstraZeneca’s vaccine AZD1222, which is due for arrival in Pakistan in Feb. “Astrazeneca and others – probably Pfizer’s vaccine are the most suitable option for the elderly. AstraZeneca’s vaccine is expected to reach Pakistan this month through Covax (international health alliance) while Pfizer’s vaccine in limited number may also be available in March this year,” SAPM Dr. Faisal Sultan told The News. Responding to queries regarding other suitable vaccines for the elderly, he said Russian vaccine Sputnik and another Chinese vaccine Cansino, whose trials have recently concluded in Pakistan, could also be used to vaccinate the elderly and they would be available in the country ‘shortly’. Some other leading infectious diseases experts also confirmed that Chinese vaccine Sinopharm was not recommended for people above 60 years of age due to lack of safety and efficacy data in the elderly and added that its trials were underway to determine efficacy for the elderly, pregnant women and lactating mothers.“ “Sinopharm vaccine can’t be given to those above 60 years of age due to pending data,” said Dr. Faisal Mehmood, an Infectious Diseases expert at the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) while talking to The News. Another infectious diseases expert associated with the National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination also confirmed that Sinopharm vaccine being used to inoculate frontline healthcare workers can’t be given to people above 60, saying: “For the moment (it can’t be given) as the sample size of 60+ persons in phase-3 trails is not adequate.” The federal ministry’s Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) also issued Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Sinopharm Vaccine (Vero Cell) to all the Adult Vaccination Centers (AVCs) in the country, warning that this vaccine should not be given to individuals above 60 years of age, children below 18 years of age, pregnant women besides women of childbearing age should avoid getting pregnant two months after the second dose of the vaccine. Besides, according to the SOPs the Sinopharm vaccine should also not be given to patients who have received SARS-CoV-2 monoclonal antibodies or convalescent plasma, patients with pre-existing respiratory or cardiovascular disease, patients with previous history of anaphylaxis and individuals who are allergic to any component (active, excipients) of this vaccine. Similarly, Sinopharm vaccine is also not recommended for individuals with serious chronic disease or history of hypersensitivity. The vaccinators have been directed to postpone vaccination to individuals having fever or during acute phase of ay disease. The EPI officials issued strong warnings against administering intravascular injection besides keeping the vaccinated individuals under observation for at least 30 minutes. The healthcare workers quarantined due to recent exposure of Covid-19 should not be vaccinated. They have also been instructed to avoid co-administration of Sinopharm vaccine along with any other vaccines. This vaccine (Sinopharm) should be used with caution if the patient has any blood disorders such as reduced platelets (thrombocytopenia) or clotting disorders. This vaccine also should be used with caution if the patient has uncontrolled epilepsy and other progressive neurological disorders. And most importantly, EPI officials said, vaccination should not be considered an alternate for wearing a mask, physical distancing and observing other SOPs for Covid-19 prevention.

  15. The coronavirus continues to create many problems for any nation, in Italy 15 regions out of 20 have returned to breathe with the "color changes" decreed in the latest decree of the Ministry of Health, which entered into force on Monday 1 February. All in yellow - except Sardinia, Sicily, Puglia, Umbria and South Tyrol (the province of Bolzano) -, with looser prohibitions again: from the possibility of traveling throughout the region, to bars and restaurants reopened until 6 pm and the possibility to take away after that hour. Several museums have also reopened their doors, taking advantage of the latest decree. Here are the main ones concerning the two and four wheels that can receive visits

  17. ISLAMABAD: A special technical team of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) would probe the cell phone's hacking issue of Supreme Court's senior judge Justice Qazi Faez Isa, officials said on Tuesday. A technical team of FIA, consisting of forensic and cyber experts, would identify the hackers, their reasons and modes of hacking and possible leakage of phone data (emails, messages, etc), added the officials. The development comes a day after the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) confirmed hacking of Justice Isa's personal cellular phone. The FIA special team would focus on whether any e-mails, messages and data was also hacked and stolen by the hackers in what is seen as a crucial happening if investigators succeed to identify those who tried to mani[CENSORED]te the personal information of a sitting SCP judge, officials said. The FIA’s Forensics Laboratory would most likely retrieve information from the cell phone that remained in personal use of Justice Qazi Faez Isa, an FIA official familiar with the development told this correspondent. It was not decided yet who would head the FIA team to probe the issue, added the official. It is not clear yet whether the whole data of the cell phone has been lost, officials maintained. On Tuesday, Registrar Supreme Court Khawaja Daud Ahmad requested Director General FIA Wajid Zia to form a team of experts to probe this phone hacking issue. "I am directed to state that the personal cell phone of Justice Qazi Faez Isa, judge of this court, was hacked on Jan 29, 2021 (Saturday) and his lordship learnt of this early Sunday morning. I am therefore directed to request you [Wajid Zia] to depute a technical team to assess his lordship's cell phone in respect of hacking status and apprise about the same at the earliest," stated Registrar Supreme Court's letter exclusively made available with Geo News. The FIA team remained in touch with the office of Justice Qazi Faez Isa for procuring more details, officials said. Assistant Registrar Pervaiz Iqbal dispatched this letter to DG FIA Wajid Zia and also sent its copy to the office of Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed, added the officials. Before the development, the SCP through an official statement informed the general public that the personal cellular phone of Justice Qazi Faez Isa has been hacked. "There is suspicion that misleading communication can be made from his lordship’s number to anyone with ulterior motives," read the SCP's official statement. "Therefore, the communication purportedly made from his lordship’s cell phone, which his lordship had not sent, may be treated as fake and false," added the official statement issued on Tuesday.
  18. Managing that output is a standard six-speed manual transmission (yay!). It's spun by a twin-disc clutch that's designed to withstand all that torque and provide good pedal feel. For added performance, active rev-matching and No-Lift Shift capability are standard. Thanks to these features, you can execute perfect downshifts every time and peg the accelerator with each gearshift so that big V8 keeps pumping. Of course, if you'd rather not dance the three-pedal shuffle, a 10-speed automatic is available in the CT5-V Blackwing. This transmission can shift quicker than some dual-clutch gearboxes and with greater refinement to boot. As for performance, with the self-shifting transmission, this Caddy can hit 60 mph in as little as 3.7 seconds and its top speed is north of 200 mph. The CT5-V Blackwing is rear-wheel-drive only, though, like its smaller sibling, it comes standard with an electronic limited-slip differential for greater control in hard cornering. Both cars are also fitted with Cadillac's latest Magnetic Ride Control, which allows you to adjust the dampers to your preference, giving you a smooth ride for commuting to work and a much stiffer feel when you're on track or navigating your favorite back road. Bringing things to a safe, secure stop and withstanding abusive hot laps, the CT5-V Blackwing is fitted with massive Brembo brakes. Up front, the rotors measure 15.7 inches in diameter and are clamped by six-piston calipers. The rear discs are a bit smaller but still huge, clocking in at 14.7 inches. They're squeezed by calipers with four pistons. Taking things a step further, you can also get a carbon-ceramic braking system. Not only does this arrangement withstand heat even better than the standard setup, it decreases unsprung mass by 53 pounds, which is a relatively huge reduction. The CT5-V features lightweight, forged-aluminum wheels. These staggered-width rollers clock in at 19 inches and are fitted with a custom set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires designed with special compounds specifically for Blackwing duty. A range of different elements set this car apart visually from lesser CT5s. For starters, the bodywork has been massaged to slice through the wind with less resistance. The front grilles flow more air underhood to keep temperatures under control, and the car has a front splitter, a rear spoiler, functional fender vents and too many other elements to list. For added looks and even better performance, a carbon-fiber aero package is offered, which reduces lift at speed by a claimed 75%. Inside, the CT5-V Blackwing has a familiar interior, one that's nonetheless gussied up compared with standard models. Customers will have three different cabin trim levels to choose from, which include different colors and materials, from basic leather seats to front buckets trimmed with imitation suede and carbon fiber. As for tech, the car comes standard with a surround-view camera system and an ever-helpful head-up display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 15-speaker AKG sound system and a 12-inch digital instrument cluster are also included at no extra charge. A high-performance steering wheel, a microfiber headliner and a second-generation Performance Data Recorder so you can relive your driving exploits are all available. For a bit of visual flair, models fitted with the manual transmission feature a 3D-printed cap on top of the shift lever. You can reserve a 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing right now, though deliveries don't start until later this summer. This ultra-high-performance sports sedan ain't cheap, either, though its pricing isn't that outrageous considering how much you're getting. It starts at $84,990, including $995 in destination fees.
  19. While we yearn for iced teas and cold smoothies in summer, we long for the comfort that a hot cup of tea brings in winter. Yet perhaps with the rush of daily life, we don’t give much thought to choosing teas, which can always be given a healthy twist. Atul Rastogi, president, Luxmi Tea Company Private Limited, recommends the top immunity-boosting teas for winter. Masala chai ‘Masala’ or spice immediately brings to mind a ‘heaty’ concoction, which is exactly what ‘masala chai’ is. A mixture of spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and ginger keeps you warm. These spices have antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties which work efficiently to keep cough, cold and seasonal allergies at bay. Ginger helps to relieve various kinds of body aches. It can be enjoyed as black tea or with milk. Sugar can be replaced with jaggery to enhance the health benefits of this tea which boosts blood circulation and immunity. kept us healthy amid pandemic Tulsi green tea An inconspicuous pair – tulsi and green tea make for a splendidly potent antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and anti-inflammatory tea with immunity-boosting properties. In terms of medicinal value, tulsi is rich in vitamin A, vitamin C and zinc. Subtle in taste but strong in bioactive compounds, green tea boosts health by reducing oxidative stress and blood sugar levels while increasing the body’s rate of metabolism. Kashmiri kahwa Consisting green tea-flavoured with saffron, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, dried fruits such as cherries, apples and raisins in varying quantities and myriad combinations of pine nuts, pistachios, walnuts, almonds, cashew nuts, dried apricots and dates, ‘Kashmiri Kahwa’ is distinguishable. Here’s a beverage that makes your supple skin, supports your weight loss goals, assists digestion, reduces stress, and also works well as a decongestant. Darjeeling tea Darjeeling tea has a distinct natural flavour with notes of citrus fruit, flowers, and some may even say a vegetal quality. Flavonoids or phytonutrient-rich plant pigments present in tea are said to reduce cholesterol levels, one of the leading causes of high blood pressure and consequently, heart disease. Polyphenols present in the tea leaves help fight inflammation and lower blood sugar. “While a strong cup of immunity-boosting tea had in the morning can energise you for the day, a light cup of the same tea had after work can soothe and relax your frayed nerves. Having said that, there’s no perfect time of day for a cup of hot tea in winter! Relax, refresh, recuperate and rejuvenate with the amazing health benefits of nature’s bounty,” mentioned Rastogi.
