Nothing is difficult, you can ban any user you want, and you can rest assured that we, as staff, will help you in this regard. It is possible to ban people who are prone to attack from their IP address. Let's review a period of at least 2-3 months. We have nothing to lose. I have good ideas for New Year's celebrations. boss

  6. https://www.gadgets360.com/games/news/netflix-games-new-titles-tv-series-money-heist-shadow-and-bone-chicken-run-dragon-prince-4564897 Netflix Games, the streamer's game subscription service that comes bundled with a Netflix subscription, has grown over time to include nearly 90 games across different genres. The platform adds new games to the service every month, which can be played on Android phones and tablets, iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Now, Netflix Games is bringing four new titles inspired by po[CENSORED]r films and shows on the streaming platform. As part of its ongoing Geeked Week 2023 showcase, Netflix has announced Money Heist, Shadow and Bone: Enter the Fold, Chicken Run: Eggstraction, and The Dragon Prince: Xadia — all mobile titles arriving soon for Netflix subscribers. Money Heist Based on Netflix's po[CENSORED]r crime series Money Heist, this new mobile title focuses on the original heist from the show. A narrative focussed title, Money Heist will let players take on the La Perla Museo de Barcelona heist with the original crew from the series. The game will combine narrative choices that affect the outcome and light puzzles. The trailer for the game shows the crew from the series, with different dialogue options to choose from. Based on Netflix's fantasy series Shadow and Bone, this new mobile title takes players back to Grishaverse. Shadow and Bone: Enter the Fold is set between Seasons 1 and 2 of the show and seems to be a top-down RPG with a focus on attribute-based dialogue choices. Chicken Run: Eggstraction is a top-down stealth action game from the creators of the Chicken Run film. Inspired by Netflix's upcoming stop motion animated comedy Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, the game is coming soon to Netflix Games on mobile devices. Billed as a heist game by its developers — “Grand Theft Auto chickens,” the game came about as an idea during the making of the film, as a means to expand the Chicken Run universe. The game is currently in development and should likely arrive by next year. This new title is based on Netflix's animated fantasy series, The Dragon Prince. A more combat-focussed experience, The Dragon Prince: Xadia is a hack-and-slash looter action-RPG that can be played with friends. You can team up to defeat evil forces in Xadia, with each co-op player controlling a unique hero wielding distinct weapons. The combat and art style resemble Supergiant Games' acclaimed top-down action-RPG Hades. The Dragon Prince: Xadia arrives on the Netflix Games platform on mobiles next year. A recent report claimed that Netflix was doubling down on its effort to bring more games to its subscribers and is focussed on adding higher quality titles to its roster. The report also said that streamer would reportedly add games based on its hit shows to its Netflix Games platform, with planned mobile game adaptations of Squid Game and Wednesday arriving in the coming months. Back in July, the Netflix Games added The Queen's Gambit Chess, based on its po[CENSORED]r The Queen's Gambit series starring Anya Taylor-Joy, to Netflix Games service on both Android and iOS. The streamer is also working on bringing select titles on TV, PCs, and Macs.
  7. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c0wxr9rnnxeo The Irish government is set to investigate a digital surveillance alliance that has been accused of letting its smartphone spyware "run wild across the world", BBC News NI understands. It comes after Intellexa Limited and its parent company Thalestris were named in a damning report by a leading human rights body., external The firms are registered at a building in north Dublin and are part of a wider Israeli group that sells Predator intelligence software. According to Amnesty International, Predator is "invasive sypyware" that has been used in "brazen" attempted hacking attacks against politicians and journalists. It can be used to turn a smartphone into a surveillance tool and has serious “human rights implications", Amnesty said. The report has called on the Irish government, and others, to investigate and increase regulation on spyware firms. Media caption, Spyware: The software that watches you The alliance, Amnesty said, was “a complex and often changing group of companies”, which advertised itself as “EU-based and regulated”, but had "done nothing to limit who is able to use this spyware and for what purpose". In July, US officials placed Intellexa on a blacklist, external after determining its surveillance tools posed a threat to national security and foreign policy. The Dublin-registered Intellexa office was set up in 2019, according to a European Parliament briefing paper. Amnesty’s report called on Irish and other European governments to "immediately revoke all marketing and export licences issued to the Intellexa alliance”. The report also called for governments to transparently investigate the alliance's practices and to enforce legislation "that requires all corporate actors to respect human rights". 'Robust' system in place It is understood the Oireachtas (Irish parliament) justice committee will hold a hearing into the issue in January 2024. A spokesperson for the Department of Justice said investigations were "a matter for the relevant competent authority" - the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment (DETE) - and it would "not be appropriate" to comment on a possible hearing. DETE said "while the company in question is an Irish registered company", it has not applied for a license for export authorisation. The department also insisted that the Republic of Ireland has a "robust" export control licensing and compliance system in place. Neither government department would respond to direct claims or further recommendations found in the report, citing the nature of any such investigation would be deemed sensitive. phone hacking graphic It is claimed that Predator software can give unfettered access to a device's microphone, camera and data What is Predator? Amnesty has said that once a device was infiltrated with Predator software, the user had unfettered access to its microphone and camera and all its data, while the target was entirely unaware. This sort of spyware is typically sold to governments for legitimate intelligence operations, however there are concerns it has been abused, as is claimed to have happened in the case of the Greek Watergate scandal. A new report from the human rights body, in partnership with European Investigative Collaborations (EIC), claims the software has been used in "zero-click attacks" - meaning it can infiltrate a device without the user having clicked on a link. It said those targeted included President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, President of Taiwan Tsai Ing-Wen, French MEP Pierre Karleskind and several United States politicians. President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola The report claims President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola was targeted by the spyware 'Undermine human rights' Amnesty has accused several EU governments of failing to thoroughly regulate Intellexa-linked companies. "Instead, they are lining their pockets and ignoring the serious human rights implications at stake,” the report added. "Intellexa alliance's products have been found in at least 25 countries across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, and have been used to undermine human rights, press freedom, and social movements across the globe.” Multiple companies linked to Intellexa have been asked by the BBC for comment on the report's findings, but none of them have responded. Intellexa Ltd is part of a complex international web of companies either fully or partly controlled by the Israeli businessman Tal Dilian. On his website, Mr Dilian said Intellexa "developed and integrated technologies empowering law enforcement agencies and intelligence agencies to collect and analyse data in the most advanced methods”. Are we all becoming unknowing spies? Greece wiretap and spyware claims circle around PM Intellexa has also been criticised in Ireland by European Parliament member Barry Andrews, who asked the Oireachtas Justice Committee in August to investigate the firm. "I completely agree with the report by Amnesty International and applaud the work that they have done here - and, of course, I agree completely with the report, especially when it says that spyware is fundamentally incompatible with human rights," Mr Andrews told BBC News NI.
  8. https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/fujitsus-new-allocator-balances-cpu-gpu-resources-in-supercomputers Fujitsu Limited, a Japanese PC hardware company and one of the oldest in the industry, has introduced a pair of new technologies for handling CPU and GPU resources. PC Watch initially broke this story, so be mindful that the original text and associated imagery are in Japanese. I'll break down the core information below. A graphic displaying how Adaptive GPU Allocation Technology allows for three programs to switch between 1 CPU and 2 GPUs. A graphic displaying how Adaptive GPU Allocation Technology allows for three programs to switch between 1 CPU and 2 GPUs. (Image credit: PC Watch at Impress.Co.JP and Fujitsu) The "main event" of this story is definitely Fujitsu's Adaptive GPU Allocation Technology. Before you get too excited, this is work that Fujitsu is doing in the space of supercomputers (and perhaps servers?), allowing for machines with multiple GPUs to dynamically allocate those graphics cards to the application(s) where they are most needed. Otherwise, processing can be done on the CPU. This is unlikely to have much application outside of the supercomputer and server space but will allow for a marked improvement in computing efficiency from these devices. In particular, Fujitsu took this approach to work with the ongoing GPU demand seen in AI and deep learning spaces. Another release from Fujitsu detailed in the original story is "Interactive HPC (High Performance Computing) Technology." This is less revolutionary since it really just refers to pooling the resources of multiple PCs to work together on a given task, especially intensive workloads like generative AI. And not to be overly reductive, but we don't even need actual PCs to pool computing resources like that— ever heard of the supercomputer made of PlayStation 3s? In any case, the future is looking a little brighter for Fujitsu in the supercomputing and server space following these announcements. Considering how long the company has been active in these high-end environments, it's good to know they're continuing to innovate and find more efficient ways to make use of ever-rarer silicon.
  9. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-67383065 The Metropolitan Police is preparing for an unprecedented security operation ahead of a pro-Palestinian demonstration in London on Saturday. The force expects the march - which coincides with Armistice Day - to be the largest yet, and has warned there is a risk of clashes. Pro-Palestinian protesters gathering near the Cenotaph can be arrested under sweeping measures announced by the Met. Rishi Sunak has repeated his view the timing of the march is "disrespectful". The prime minister urged protesters to be "mindful of the fear and distress in Jewish and Muslim communities" when they gather on Saturday. The Met has said it will deploy 1,850 public order officers on duty on Saturday, and another 1,375 on Sunday. It expects Saturday's demonstration to be the largest since weekly pro-Palestinian marches began in early October, and warned it is likely to be a "challenging" and "tense" situation in the capital. An exclusion zone will be in place around the Cenotaph and a large swathe of Whitehall, which the Met says will "in effect" ban pro-Palestinian protesters from these locations and goes further than the security measures usually deployed around the key Remembrance site. A dedicated 24-hour police presence is already in place around the Cenotaph, which will remain until after Sunday's ceremony. No grounds to ban pro-Palestinian march, says Met chief Why Suella Braverman can't stop Palestinian protests The Met expects a larger number of counter-protesters - including members from far-right groups and football hooligans - to be in London compared to previous weekends, and there are concerns about the potential for clashes. Unlike pro-Palestinian protesters, they will be allowed into Whitehall and near the Cenotaph, with the plan centred on keeping the two groups apart. Deputy Assistant Commissioner Laurence Taylor, who is leading the operation, said he is concerned breakaway groups could "seek each other out". He told reporters it is "likely we will see police having to use force" in order to prevent serious disorder, and said the Met is ready to implement a "huge" security operation in order to reassure local communities. Planned route of march The Palestine Solidarity Campaign, which has organised the march, has repeatedly stressed this week their route does not go past the Cenotaph or through Whitehall, and have rejected the Met's public appeals to postpone. No major protest is scheduled to take place on Remembrance Sunday. The demonstrations have taken place on successive Saturdays. But on Friday the force reiterated concerns about disruptive breakaway groups, saying their "behaviour has been escalating and becoming more violent and distressing to the public" as the weekly protests have continued. Senior officers have signed off the use of powers to carry out widespread stop-and-search operations, and to compel protesters to remove masks. Other security measures announced by the Met include: Exclusion zones around the US and Israeli embassies Plans to prevent a "convoys of cars" carrying pro-Palestinian protesters, which is expected to arrive from elsewhere in the UK, reaching Jewish communities Working with British Transport Police to protect poppy sellers at stations A "dispersal zone" in a busy central London area, preventing breakaway groups from gathering later in the day Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley said earlier this week the legal threshold which would allow him to ask the Home Office for permission to ban the march has not been met. He also stressed there are no powers in UK law to ban a static demonstration. The prime minister said the police had given assurances about taking the necessary steps to safeguard Remembrance services. "Protests will only be permitted far away from Remembrance events, and the Cenotaph in Whitehall - the abiding symbol of Remembrance - has been placed in an exclusion zone and will be guarded around the clock to protect it for those travelling to pay their respects," Rishi Sunak said. The build-up to the latest pro-Palestinian demonstration in London has been dominated by a political row over Mrs Braverman's comments about the Met in the Times newspaper. She claimed aggressive right-wing protesters were "rightly met with a stern response", while "pro-Palestinian mobs" were "largely ignored" - accusing the force of applying "double standards". It later emerged that she had defied a Downing Street request to tone the article down, including - according to the Times - a comparison between pro-Palestinian demonstrations and marches in Northern Ireland. Critics of Mrs Braverman says she has undermined the principle of independent policing, and potentially broken the ministerial code by not agreeing her remarks with No 10. A source close to the Home Secretary said she met with the Met commissioner on Friday afternoon, where she "emphasised her full backing for the police in what will be a complex and challenging situation and expressed confidence that any criminality will be dealt with robustly". The prime minister has so far stood behind his Home Secretary, but Downing Street was "still looking in to what happened with [Mrs Braverman's] op-ed" on Friday afternoon. Mr Sunak's spokeswoman repeatedly refused to say whether or not he had recently spoken to Mrs Braverman about the article or the protests. BBC News has been told a formal investigation has not been launched, and it is unclear when any conclusions around the circumstances of the article will be reached. Any decision on Mrs Braverman's future is unlikely to be made ahead of Saturday's protests. In a separate update on Friday, the Met said it had made 188 hate crime arrests since the 7 October attacks on Israel, a majority of which were for suspected anti-Semitic offences.
  10. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cqqpr00224zo Some farmers and landowners say a proper consultation has still to be held on proposals to release beavers in the UK's biggest national park. A small number of the animals could be introduced in the Cairngorms by the end of next month. The Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA), which is involved in the project, said there had been months of public engagement, including a formal six-week process involving in-person meetings. But some landowners said their concerns about the potential for damage to property and crops had not been addressed. Kingussie farmer Ruaridh Ormiston said: "The so-called consultation events have painted a very fluffy, cuddly picture of beavers, and I would love it if that were the truth. "But once we started speaking to communities where beavers have been for up to 20 years in Scotland we saw that's not the real picture. "Farmers are very concerned." Beavers died out in Scotland about 400 years ago but were reintroduced to Scotland in 2009. A licence has been sought from Scotland's nature agency, NatureScot, to release a small number of the animals at three sites: Rothiemurchus Estate, near Aviemore RSPB Scotland's Insh Marshes, near Kingussie Land managed by Wildland Cairngorms - a company owned by billionaires Anne and Anders Holch Povlsens The sites are within the catchment of the River Spey between Kingussie and Aviemore. The beavers would be relocated from around the River Tay, specifically from areas where they are seen as a pest because of the damage they have done to farmland. Beavers would be given a health check before being released in the Cairngorms. CNPA and RSPB Scotland said beavers could enhance wetland habitats. One way the animals could do this is through building dams made of branches and tree trunks, which would slow the flow of streams and ditches and stop water from draining away. The project's partners said this behaviour could improve water quality, boost insect habitats and retain water at times of drought. They also said beaver dams could alleviate the effects of flooding. Dr Sarah Henshall, head of conservation at CNPA, said: "Beavers are a keystone species. "They have the ability to shape and modify their environment. They can restore freshwater habitats." She said the project had engaged with more than 500 people online and over 100 people had attended face-to-face meetings. Dr Henshall said the process suggested there were high levels of support for the reintroduction of beavers, She said a beaver officer had been appointed to monitor the animals and was a point of contact for people with concerns. Thijs Claes, species recovery officer at Insh Marshes, said it could take 15 years before beavers became abundant in the Cairngorms, and steps would then be taken to manage the po[CENSORED]tion. He said: "We didn't just say we wanted beavers, we also considered first talking to our neighbours and what they need. "It's 400 years since beavers were here so no-one really knows how to live with them. "That was key for us - to make sure our neighbours knew we were involved in the project." But Mr Ormiston and other farmers said more discussions on the plan were needed. Robert Macdonald, who farms near Grantown-on-Spey, Strathspey, said it felt as if a decision to release beavers had already been taken. He said: "The biggest problem is that we weren't consulted on it. "We were told they [beavers] were coming and then there was no consultation. "That is causing the biggest animosity among the land managers in Strathspey." Earlier this year, a family of beavers were moved from Tayside to Loch Lomond as part of efforts to boost biodiversity. It was only the third time in Scotland that such a translocation had taken place since the first trial at Knapdale in Argyll began in 2009. It was part of an alternative Scottish government plan to culling the rodents when they cause problems. The family were moved from an area where beaver activity was having a serious impact. In the past, farmers have spoken of their anger at the damage beavers cause to their land.
  11. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/67377248 Sir Jim Ratcliffe's deal to become a minority shareholder in Manchester United is expected to be agreed during this month's international break, possibly as early as next week. It is expected Ratcliffe's Ineos Group will pay around £1.25bn to buy 25%. United's owners the Glazer family announced on 22 November 2022 they were considering selling the club. Ineos and Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani both made offers, tabling bids of around £5bn. However, neither bidder was willing to reach the Glazer family's valuation, with co-chairs Joel and Avram Glazer both known to be reluctant sellers. Sheikh Jassim withdrew from the process last month, claiming his final bid, thought to be double United's $3.2bn (£2.64bn) stock market valuation, had not met the Glazers' demands. Ratcliffe had already amended his initial plan to buy the Glazers' 69% shareholding and reduced it to a 'majority' stake. However, it was only when he reduced it again, to an anticipated 25%, that the potential for an agreement increased. It is not entirely clear what the structure of the deal will be, nor if there will be specific dates that would allow Ratcliffe to increase his shareholding. It is thought around £245m in additional funds will be made available by Ratcliffe for infrastructure works related to the stadium. Who is Jim Ratcliffe? It has been reported Ratcliffe wants to assume control of the football operations side of the club. Sources with a close working knowledge of Ratcliffe have told BBC Sport it was "impossible to imagine" he would agree to being a silent partner. Many, both at United and in close proximity, believe the club will benefit from "a new pair of eyes" looking at how it is run. It is expected Sir Dave Brailsford, the former performance director at British Cycling, will be heavily involved. The precise date for confirmation of the deal is still to be formalised, although BBC Sport has been told it will not be on Monday given that is the date of Sir Bobby Charlton's funeral. Fans opposed to the Glazers' continued involvement at United, potentially retaining a majority stake, intend to renew their protests at Saturday's Premier League game against Luton at Old Trafford. United are struggling on the pitch this season, having lost nine of their 17 games, sitting bottom of their Champions League group and eighth in the Premier League. The Glazer family, who bought United for £790m in 2005, said in November 2022 they were to "explore strategic alternatives" for the club. Petrochemicals firm Ineos already owns French Ligue 1 club Nice and Swiss club Lausanne. Its sporting portfolio also includes high-profile sailing team Ineos Britannia - led by Sir Ben Ainslie - which is aiming to win the 2024 America's Cup for Great Britain. Ineos also has a five-year partnership with Formula 1 team Mercedes, owning a third of the team - and took over the British-based Team Sky in cycling in 2019. Ratcliffe, who says he is a lifelong United fan, tried and failed to buy Chelsea last year. LISTEN: How to buy a football club podcast Key questions remain While this development has been expected and the date speculated for some time, key elements will not be known until an official announcement is made. Chief amongst these is what role Ratcliffe will play, how the interaction will work with the Glazer family and what process is in place for the Ineos chief to increase his stake. Ratcliffe's business history is not that of a man who gives way, quite the reverse in fact. Brailsford has extensive knowledge of an elite sporting environment. But the Glazers have run the club in a manner that suits them. They don't make decisions on a whim and quite often, the process is slow. So, for instance, what happens in January with Jadon Sancho? A £74m asset who is currently exiled from the first-team squad with no obvious end to his dispute with manager Erik ten Hag in sight. Given his wages, even a loan move in January will involve some kind of financial input from Old Trafford. Who decides what the extent of that should be? Will Ratcliffe confirm where his financial input is coming from - and will he spend more on the stadium? £245m is not enough for all the changes that need to be made.
  12. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/extra/85JPWipoYZ/gaza_al_zahra Around noon on Friday 20 October, the residents of the upscale Gazan neighbourhood of al-Zahra stood in front of the rubble and dust that used to be their homes. Fridays were supposed to be special: the Islamic day of prayer marks the start of the weekend and in al-Zahra it meant falafel and hummus, coffee and tea, all served in spacious family apartments or villas by the Mediterranean Sea. Residents here knew they were luckier than most in Gaza. But overnight, Israeli bombs had flattened 25 apartment blocks, home to many hundreds of people. Israel had been bombing Gaza for days in response to the Hamas attacks of 7 October, but al-Zahra had not been hit until now. Some of those who lived here - among them doctors, lawyers, academics, fashion designers and entrepreneurs - tried to stay and survive in the ruins, but most packed up what little they could salvage and dispersed across the Gaza Strip. Hana Hussen, who grew up in al-Zahra, followed the news with horror from hundreds of miles away in Turkey, where she had moved two years ago. In a hurried phone call that day, she rang her family to check they were safe. She told them she loved them. Then the line went dead.
