Animal Crossing: New Horizons released over a year ago in March 2020 and continues to be incredibly po[CENSORED]r. New Horizons is on its way to becoming the best-selling Switch game, surpassing Mario Kart 8. There are likely many people who bought a Switch just to play Animal Crossing, and are looking to find other games that might interest them. Luckily, Nintendo is prolific in the video game industry, boasting many quality franchises and releasing plenty of titles. The exact development team behind Animal Crossing: New Horizons is called Nintendo Entertainment Planning & Development Division, or Nintendo EPD for short. Nintendo EPD is the largest division within the video game giant, and likely has many different teams working on many different projects at once. Not only does Nintendo EPD develop its own games, but also co-develops with other studios inside and outside of Nintendo, as well as produces games it has no part in developing. Nintendo EPD is the product of two separate divisions merging in 2015, and since then has been solely responsible for the development of such titles as Miitopia, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey, Ring Fit Adventure, and more. Nintendo is a massive company, and Nintendo EPD is a massive division within that company, so it isn't always helpful to look solely at the development team responsible for a Nintendo title. Many Nintendo games, including Animal Crossing: New Horizons, have well-known developers in key roles who have worked at the company for quite a while, and are strongly attached to other projects. Important Developers Of Animal Crossing: New Horizons Game director of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Aya Kyogoku, has been at Nintendo since 2003. She began work there as a scriptwriter for the Zelda series on Four Swords Adventures and Wii launch title Twilight Princess. Since working on those games, she has almost exclusively been filling major roles in the Animal Crossing series. She was the sequence director for Animal Crossing: City Folk, and then director of New Leaf and New Horizons. Animal Crossing: New Horizons' producer is Hisashi Nogami, who has been at Nintendo for even longer. He began his career at Nintendo as a character designer for Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, which released on the Super Nintendo in 1995. He had a hand in the development of major titles such as Mario Kart 64, Banjo-Kazooie, and Super Smash Bros. Melee before being the director of the first, second, and third Animal Crossing games. While directing the Animal Crossing series, he also served as a supervisor for Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. 4. Since becoming a producer, Nogami has helped develop Splatoon and its sequel, and all Animal Crossing spin-off and mobile titles.

Software industry's impact in 2020: 15.8 million jobs and $933 billion to the US economy This one hour, free session will help you better understand: What is Paragon? Where are we going? How to apply automation for network provisioning, management and orchestration? Join us for our first session May 11, 2021 where we will introduce the full Paragon Automation suite. Registration is free. White Papers provided by Juniper Networks Victoria Espinel, president of Software.org: the BSA Foundation and president and CEO of BSA | The Software Alliance, said in a press release that software played a key role during the pandemic by powering remote work, helping manufacturers shift to producing medical and personal protective equipment, and helping small businesses connect with customers online. "During a difficult year, software supported more than 15.8 million jobs across sectors," Espinel said. "Meanwhile, the need for software skills continues to increase, further underscoring the need for retraining programs that will equip more Americans with the skills to take advantage of growing opportunities in the digital economy." The total number of jobs is up 5.9% since 2018. The report also found that in 2020, 3.3 million people worked directly in software jobs in the United States which is a 7.2% increase over 2018. This year's update builds on earlier reports with an analysis of 2020 data to quantify the scope of software's impact and to show change in job totals and economic impact over time. The report also tracked software jobs and economic activity in all 50 states. Between 2018 and 2020, the software industry's economic impact grew by double digits in more than half of states and the District of Columbia. Growth was up by more than 25% in Idaho, Nevada and Washington. Direct jobs in the industry went up 18.7% in New Mexico, 12.9% in New York, 10.9% in Texas and 10.1% in Florida. Chris Hopfensperger, executive director of Software.org: the BSA Foundation, said in a press release that the benefits of the software industry aren't limited to large cities or traditional tech hubs. "In 2020, software job growth surged in several states that we don't usually associate with the tech industry, including Colorado, Florida, and Wisconsin," Hopfensperger said. "As tech industry employees embrace remote work, we anticipate continued software job growth across the country." The report measures the software industry's impact on the U.S. economy with data and analysis from The Economist Intelligence Unit. The research explores the growth of the software industry between 2018 and 2020 and measures its contributions to value-added GDP, job growth, and wage growth in 50 states and the District of Columbia.

EU Explores Massive Local Semiconductor Alliance and Fab In a move that echoes the whole endeavor of the European Union in general, the conglomeration of nations is exploring the idea of a semiconductor alliance as an alternative (or a complement) to a leading-edge fab built by a multinational chip company, according to a Reuters report. The general idea here is if one company (or country) can’t afford a leading-edge semiconductor production facility, a number of companies can do it with assistance from 27 national governments. Europe is home to semiconductor companies like Infineon, NXP, and STMicroelectronics, as well as lithography equipment giant ASML. The EU is considering building an alliance consisting of these companies in a bid to reduce Europe's dependence on foreign chipmakers. U.S.-based GlobalFoundries, which operates Europe's largest fab in Dresden, Germany, could also be a part of the alliance, according to the report that cites four sources. EU politicians think that the project could be backed using a pan-European scheme called an Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI), which enables national governments to fund it under simpler state aid rules. GlobalFoundries (Image credit: GlobalFoundries) This also fits with the European Union's plan to increase the bloc's share in the global semiconductor market. The EU wants to produce 20% of the world's chips and processors (by value) by 2030, up from 10% today. There are several ways for the EU to catch up with Taiwan, South Korea, and the U.S. when it comes to leading-edge fabs and fabrication technologies. One approach is to attract Intel, Samsung Foundry, and/or TSMC to Europe with various incentives. Intel has operated a leading-edge fab in Ireland for decades, so European politicians have to make sure it stays there going forward and perhaps to persuade the CPU giant to build another fab in another European country. An EU Commissioner is set to meet with Intel's CEO Pat Gelsinger on Friday. Meanwhile, TSMC is not particularly interested in building a fab in Europe as there are not many customers (i.e., chip designers) or consumers (i.e., high-volume factories like those operated by Foxconn) there. Furthermore, not everyone in Europe is happy with the idea of a foreign fab in the EU. "Politicians like shiny things and sometimes tend to sacrifice long-term industrial policies for short-term announcements," a senior French official is reported to have said. "If we step on the toes of European players, then I am not sure our sovereignty will gain anything from it." Another approach is to consolidate local chipmakers, fund development of both bleeding-edge and specialty fabrication processes, and then provide financial assistance to build advanced fabs in Europe. Modern process technologies cost billions of U.S. dollars, whereas a leading-edge fab costs tens of billions and requires regular upgrades. Semiconductor market analysts say that governments will need to spend at least $150 billion over the next five years to have a serious go at catching up with companies like Samsung or TSMC. So in many ways, pooling the resources (both financial and technological) of several resources makes sense. Still, this would be a huge, long-term undertaking, even for a large collection of nations.

The Volkswagen Group is mobilizing large sums of money to electrify all the brands that make up its portfolio. Porsche and Audi are the ones that have the most advantage, especially since they are at the top of the catalog. Volkswagen, Seat and Skoda lag behind, although there is one that is still one step behind. It is Bentely, one of the most luxurious and exclusive brands in the world. Although that yes, the Bentayga Hybrid is a true bestseller. To remedy the lack of a 100 percent electric model, Bentley managers are carrying out the necessary movements. This implies entering into conversations with its partners in the German consortium, because for any project to see the light, a series of synergies must be established that reduce costs. And although it may sound bad, it is much better than it seems, as the British firm will have a "battery" model very soon. The Bentley SUV EV would use the Artemis platform of the Volkswagen Group According to several sources, among which is Car Magazine, Bentley will launch its first pure electric vehicle on the market in 2025. As expected, it will be framed in the most fashionable segment, that of SUVs. In addition, for its development they will not have to break their heads, since their engineers will collaborate side by side with those of Audi. Yes, because the house of the four rings is working to shape a new base for electrics. It will be called Artemis and, unlike others already in the Volkswagen Group, part of a blank page. At the moment no more details are known about this platform, but everything indicates that it will be very flexible. This has to be a basic and main quality if they want to contain development and production costs. This will be relatively easy to achieve, as it will give life to models of Bentley itself, Audi and even the most "basic" of Porsche. According to statements by Adrian Hallmark, CEO of Bentley, to CAR Magazine ... “In terms of electrification, we are going to have closer synergies with Audi” […] “But we will continue to have strong relationships with both brands (Audi and Porsche), and we see this as an opportunity, not a risk. There is no question, we are electrifying. And we need to find the best way to accelerate that and lead the technological charge. Still, before Bentley's first pure electric hits the market there will be other firsts. A Flying Spur Plug-in Hybrid is scheduled to arrive sometime in 2021. Furthermore, it is not ruled out that a Continental GT Plug-in Hybrid will make an appearance later. All this should be before the year 2023, which is when the English firm has set itself the goal of having at least one electrified version in its range. Patience gentlemen ...

Lewis Hamilton took a 100th career pole position by edging out Red Bull's Max Verstappen in qualifying at the Spanish Grand Prix. Hamilton's Mercedes was just 0.036 seconds faster than Verstappen, who was in turn 0.096secs ahead of the second Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc pulled out one of his trademark stellar laps on his last run to take fourth from Alpine's Esteban Ocon. Ferrari's Carlos Sainz was sixth ahead of McLaren's Daniel Ricciardo. The second Red Bull of Sergio Perez took eighth, nearly 0.8secs adrift of Verstappen, with McLaren's Lando Norris and Alpine's Fernando Alonso completing the top 10. Verstappen had looked the man to beat going into the final part of qualifying after he set a stunning lap in the second knock-out session. He was 0.5secs clear of the Mercedes on his first run and did not bother going out for a second, and even so the Mercedes drivers could only get to within 0.2secs of him. But things turned around in the final part of the session and Hamilton pulled it out of the bag. "P3 was looking really good, we have been strong all weekend," he said. "I made some changes, I had a bit of anxiety about the changes we were going make. You always try to make them better but it's a bit of a gamble. It was my call in the end. "We made this change and as soon as I got out it was immediately: 'This is the wrong way. That's why I was behind the whole way through qualifying. "I was making changes all the way through to try to elevate the pace. "I can't believe we are at 100. It's down to the men and women back at the factory who are just continuing to raise the bar and never giving up. It has been a dream to work these guys. Who would have thought when I made the move at the end of 2012 that we would get to 100? I am ecstatic, like it's my first. "The set-up that I made I just had so much understeer. The car was very lazy and wouldn't turn around the corners in the way I wanted. "I was making small adjustments within what we are able to change to get the car to turn and then it is just pulling everything together. It was my cleanest lap. I will always remember that." Report Verstappen said: "Both laps were pretty decent, the second run was a little worse for whatever reason but second for us here on this track is very good today. "We know they are hard to beat around here but to be that close I can be very happy with that." The grid positions set up what promises to be another gripping race between Hamilton and Verstappen, who even after three races have made this a two-horse championship fight of remarkable closeness and intensity. Hamilton's record would have seemed unthinkable until he started his run of success with Mercedes - and it is a remarkable achievement. He stands 32 poles clear of the next most successful qualifier in F1 history, Michael Schumacher. The rest Leclerc had looked on the back foot in qualifying, slower than team-mate Sainz pretty much throughout. But as he so often does he pulled out something special on his final run, when conditions changed and he was the only front-runner to improve his time and nipped ahead of Sainz by 0.12secs. Ocon did a stellar job in the Alpine to split the Ferraris, again out-performing team-mate Alonso, although the veteran Spaniard will have been pleased to show the pace to get into the final part of qualifying for the first time since the first race of the season. Ricciardo, who like Alonso has admitted he has been struggling to get the most out of his car for his new team this season, out-qualified Norris for the first time since the first race of the season. And Lance Stroll was the faster Aston Martin driver in 11th, team-mate Sebastian Vettel managing only 13th, 0.1secs behind.

RAMALLAH, Friday, May 7, 2021 (WAFA) – Nabil Abu Rudeineh, spokesman for President Mahmoud Abbas, today blamed the Israeli government for the ongoing escalation in all of the occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem and the rest of the West Bank. He blamed the Israeli government for the recent assaults on Palestinian families facing eviction in the occupied Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah, as well as the fatal shooting earlier today of two Palestinian young men at a checkpoint northwest of Jenin in the occupied West Bank. Abu Rudeineh said these latest violations, beside the illegal settlement construction, create tensions on the ground and violate all the resolutions of the international community. "We hold the Israeli government responsible for this escalation and its repercussions, and we call on the international community to provide protection for the Palestinian people," said Abu Rudeineh in a statement. Abu Rudeineh urged the US administration to pressure Israel to stop its attacks "so that matters do not reach a stage that cannot be controlled."

It's been nearly two years since Asus first announced its ROG Strix XG43UQ, a 43-inch display with a 4K resolution, fast 144Hz refresh rate, and HDMI 2.1 connectivity. The spec sheet checks a bunch of desirable boxes, and we'll finally get to see how it actually performs when it begins shipping next month. In no uncertain terms, Asus says the XG43UQ will finally be available in May (via TechPowerUp). Barring a last minute delay, the XG43UQ figures to be the first HDMI 2.1 display to actually ship out to customers, beating Eve (Spectrum) and Gigabyte (Aorus FV43U) to the punch. What's the big deal with HDMI 2.1, anyway? Well, one of the upgrades over HDMI 2.0 is a massive increase in bandwidth to 48Gbps, up from 18Gbps, or up to 128Gbps with compression. The added bandwidth is capable of supporting up to a 10K resolution at 120Hz, with compression. We're a long way from 10K gaming being anything close to the norm, though more tantalizing is support for 4K HDR content at up to 120Hz, with full 4:4:4 color. That means no need to implement chroma subsampling, which can degrade the image quality. It also means console gamers, on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, can get in on the gaming monitor fun rather than having to rely on TVs. With HDMI 2.1 support the latest consoles can deliver 4K at 120Hz in supported games, something they can't do with standard HDMI 2.0 panels. It's not just about higher resolutions and refresh rates, though. HDMI 2.1 supports a handful of nifty features, like dynamic HDR, which adjusts the image on a scene-by-scene or frame-by-frame basis. For gaming, HDMI 2.1 implements a few goodies, including an auto low latency mode that can switch a display's Game mode on and off by itself, variable refresh rate support, and a feature called Quick Frame Transport that is aimed at reducing display latency. The latest graphics cards from AMD (Radeon RX 6000 series) and Nvidia (GeForce RTX 30 series) as well as the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 all support HDMI 2.1. You do also need an HDMI 2.1 cable, to take advantage of the specification. Outside of HDMI 2.1, the XG43UQ is a FreeSync Premium Pro monitor that is DisplayHDR 1000 certified, with a eye-searing peak brightness of 1,000 nits to do HDR content justice. It also boasts a 1ms response time (MPRT) and a high color gamut (90 percent and 125 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 and sRGB color spaces, respectively). It looks like the 43-inch Asus will be the first HDMI 2.1 monitor to actually ship, with delays reportedly blighting manufacturers in their hopes to get them out around the console launch in 2020. The Eve Spectrum, the crowd-specced gaming monitor, was hoping to be the first, but it's not set to arrive until late May/early June. Though it has recently published video of the Spectrum actually running via HDMI 2.1. While this lovely looking Asus monitor will ship next month, the company has not said how much it will cost. We already have an idea, though—it's been available to preorder at OverclockersUK for £1,349 since March. That works out to around $1,873 in US currency, and while pricing is likely to vary by region, it's not going to be cheap. It will be the first HDMI 2.1 to actually ship, though.

Researchers find two dozen bugs in software used in medical and industrial devices Microsoft researchers have discovered some two dozen vulnerabilities in software that is embedded in po[CENSORED]r medical and industrial devices that an attacker could use to breach those devices, and in some cases cause them to crash. The so-called “BadAlloc” vulnerabilities the researchers revealed on Thursday are in code that makes its way into infusion pumps, industrial robots, smart TVs and wearable devices. No less than 25 products made by the likes of Google Cloud, Samsung and Texas Instruments are affected. The research serves as a critique of the coding practices of the designers of billions of so-called “internet of things” devices that are a feature of modern life. There’s no evidence that the vulnerabilities have been exploited, according to Microsoft. But the Department of Homeland Security’s cybersecurity agency issued an advisory urging organizations to update their software. It’s unclear just how many devices are affected by the software bugs, but they span numerous industries and countries. Microsoft declined to answer questions about the blog. One of the affected products is the VXWorks operating software made by California-based Wind River Systems. The software is po[CENSORED]r in the aerospace, automotive and medical sectors, and was affected by another class of critical vulnerabilities disclosed in 2019. While researchers have been pointing out weaknesses in the designs of IoT devices for years, policymakers have recently taken more interest in the issue. A bill signed into law by President Donald Trump in December sets baseline security requirements for any IoT vendor that wants to sell its wares to the federal government. The BadAlloc discovery highlights other intractable cybersecurity issues. Some of the flaws are embedded into code that some organizations run on their computer systems without realizing it. And for industrial organizations and hospitals, updating these systems may not be a matter of clicking a button. Software patches often have to be tested for specific environments, and be done on a schedule that doesn’t disrupt operations.

AMD has gone out of its way to prevent motherboard makers from offering Ryzen 5000 Desktop CPU support on AM4 based X370 motherboards. This was stated by an ASRock representative to customers asking if they will be receiving Zen 3 support on older 300-series boards. AMD Restricting Motherboard Makers From Offering Ryzen 5000 Desktop CPU BIOS Support on X370 AM4 Boards It looks like X370 and the rest of the 300-series chipset motherboards would only get Ryzen CPU support up to the Matisse Refresh Ryzen 3000XT series. For those who have been wondering why motherboard makers haven't been releasing BIOS support for the new Zen 3 based Ryzen 5000 CPUs, well it looks like we have an answer. The issue isn't that motherboard makers don't want to release the BIOS, in fact, they have been trying hard to release BETA BIOS support for all boards but AMD is actively preventing them from releasing support on older X370 motherboards. Following is the email posted by a forum member over at Hardwareluxx: Hi Jörg, Unfortunately, we received AMD's warning that X370 shouldn't support Vermeer CPU. Obviously, some customer didn't operate it under table, AMD noticed it and said ASRock shouldn't do this anymore. The attached file is BIOS and it is the last BIOS which I can provide for you in this case, please pass it to user under table. Thanks, AMD originally stated that the AM4 socket will be supported until 2020 and considering that Zen 3 based Ryzen 5000 CPUs are a 2020 release, they should also fall in the same category but it looks like AMD has stopped motherboard makers from doing so. In fact, even the 400-series boards, the X470 & B450 lineup, haven't got official Ryzen 5000 CPU support. The support for those products is only BETA which means that the responsibility of bugs and errors falls upon the board vendor and not on AMD themselves. We did talk to a few manufacturers and they say that BETA BIOS support for AMD Ryzen 5000 CPUs on X370 motherboards is indeed possible but AMD has restricted them from even a BETA release. Although there are no reasons as to why Ryzen 5000 CPUs won't be supported by X370 considering that some of the motherboards in the high-end stack are more than capable. Sure some boards do come with limited BIOS capacity but if users want to move over to a certain generation of Desktop CPUs, then why stop them from doing so.

Mazda’s innovative 2.0-litre ‘SPCCI’ compression-ignition petrol engine has lately come in for its first major mechanical overhaul, and it gets an outing first in the latest model-year Mazda 3 hatchback, as well as in this: the 2021-model-year CX-30 compact crossover hatchback. The engine has had new, reprofiled intake cams, a lowered compression ratio, new pistons and recalibrated control software. It also gets a new 24-volt belt-driven mild hybrid assistance system that Mazda calls M Hybrid, which mostly works to refine performance rather than to boost it significantly, flattening out the petrol engine’s torque curve and enhancing throttle response at low rpm. Even so, the new engine - now dubbed ‘e-SkyActiv X’ - yields an extra 6bhp and 12lb ft of torque when working hardest, and makes for a CO2 emissions saving of between 5- and 11g/km depending on model. In the CX-30, the engine impresses most for low-load cruising refinement, but is also commendable for part-throttle, low- to mid-range responsiveness, which is much better than you might imagine it might be from a petrol engine without a turbo. The 2.0-litre engine responds crisply at all times, but will accelerate from town speeds in 4th and 5th gears very willingly. It remains a bit boomy and coarse when working hard above 4500rpm, but that’s only so noticeable because the engine has such good mechanical manners at other times. It still lacks the zest for the redline you might hope for in an atmospheric petrol engine, sadly; although it certainly seems to run a little more smoothly than it did before when pulling through the middle of the rev range. For everyday fuel economy, expect to average around 45mpg in mixed short- and long-range use. Engine aside, the CX-30 has been left mainly untouched; and so it remains a very pretty, classy and desirable prospect with the perceived cabin quality needed to take on premium-brand compact crossovers like the Audi Q2 head on (and that’s exactly how it’s priced). And those who wouldn’t imagine that a Mazda which keeps that sort of company would stand much chance of success should check the company’s UK registration statistics, which currently confirm the CX-30 as Mazda UK’s best-selling model. It isn’t the most practical car of its kind. Two adult passengers will just about be comfortable in the back; for three kids, it would be a real squeeze. But those in the front will be impressed by the car’s upmarket ambience and solid material feel. Mirror chrome brightwork is used quite sparingly but well; the driving position is mid-way between feeling perched and couched, but likable for it; and the car’s steering wheel has slim spokes and a well-dimensioned rim that you can run through your fingers very pleasingly. The driving experience is one that’s plainly been sweated over, too. Well-weighted and tactile controls are a fine invitation to explore the car’s surprisingly crisp, precise handling. The CX-30 is comfortable but never soft or wallowy; neat, assured and predictable through corners, but never hyper-responsive. A medium-firm ride that can become just a little bit busy at town speeds, and agitated at greater speed over uneven cross-country roads, seems a small and acceptable price to pay. On most surfaces, this is a car that’s a cut above most of its rivals for its simple, understated, everyday brand of driver appeal. If you’re looking for a smart alternative to one of the obvious premium-branded compact crossover players, consider it seriously. This isn’t the kind of jacked-up hatchback to cram family or cargo into, or to take on high business miles in; and it pretty clearly doesn’t represent the greatest value for money available in its particular niche either (this engine's available in lower trim levels from under £27,000). But as a handsome, versatile and quiet-operating compact car for smart private buyers who are generally turned off by the bluff looked and blunt-feeling handling associated with so many crossover options, it should stand out loud and clear.

Steve Briggs, lead clinician at SB Sports Injury and Physiotherapy Clinic in Shifnal, says people should not underestimate the link between pain and depression. “Depression can cause pain and vice versa," said Steve. “Together, pain and depression can create a vicious circle in which pain increases the symptoms of depression, which in turn worsens the pain. "Anxiety alone can cause muscles to cramp and referred pain to transmit through the nervous system. “People who suffer from chronic pain will often have disturbed sleep, leading to fatigue, concentration problems, loss of appetite and mood swings. "Over time, all these things can be responsible for an increase in sedentary behaviour or inactivity which may result in numerous physical health problems. “With people having to self-isolate, withdraw from social activity and undertake home working in less-than-ideal workspaces and positions, we have seen a steep rise in physical and mental health linked symptoms. "We must now educate people in understanding the connection and promote body and movement awareness. “Alleviating back pain and other physical symptoms that often accompany mental health problems can have a hugely therapeutic impact. "Physical approaches aimed at relieving physical symptoms can lift a person’s mood, increase their self-confidence, encourage physical activity and generally improve their quality of life. “As physiotherapists, we can not only help to alleviate the symptoms of pain but also help people to devise a safe and enjoyable exercise programme that will suit their own individual circumstances and lift their spirits."

Miami – Inspiring everyone from millennials to university-level lecturers, Manal Benchlikha’s song “NIYA” pays tribute to Moroccan culture-specific customs as the artist works towards the release of her album “360” in May. At the age of 27, urban pop singer-songwriter Manal Benchlikha has reached audiences from around the globe, showing off her artistic talent and advocating for female empowerment. Her debut single “Denia,” which earned her the title of Best Female Artist from North Africa in 2015 at the African Music Awards, highlighted her unique music lyrics and jumpstarted her journey to success. Followed by the release of “Kolchi Ban” in 2017 and “Taj” in 2018, Benchlikha’s music videos spurred a wave of public attention as she denounced the stereotypes induced by a historically patriarchal society. Benchlikha was considered an artistic activist as early as 2014, when she encouraged the younger generation to vote in the national elections in the music video “Mantsayadch” with Ahmed Soultan, Dizzy Dros, DJ Van, Muslim, and Shayfeen. In an exclusive statement to Morocco World News, Manal Benchlikha emphasized the value she attributes by using her music videos as a medium to address crucial topics such as gender stereotypes and feminism. She specified, “I work closely with my team to ensure that my music videos are produced in such a way that they depict crucial societal messages with a subtle air of sarcasm at times.” As she addresses controversial topics pertinent to her culture and society, Manal Benchlikha unapologetically voices her opinion while embracing and celebrating her roots and identity in these music videos. Her song “NIYA” propelled a handful of commentaries and praise. It entailed the story of a loving geisha or “shikha” who impatiently awaits her beloved to come and ask for her hand in marriage. Yet in a society where her occupation is frowned upon and her fate doomed, she never fulfills this fantasy. The music video featured on platforms across the nation and transcended borders, honoring a golden era with vivid representations of the rich stylistic period and customs of the kingdom. Extending beyond the walls of the music industry and its audience, a professor presented Manal Benchlikha’s “NIYA” in a college-level lecture at the University of Miami, in the United States, as a source to discuss the preservation of cultural customs through modern mediums. When asked about the incorporation of Benchlikha’s music video in the lecture, Dr. Suja R. Sawafta, professor of Arabic studies in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, applauded Benchlikha’s work. She told MWN, “It pays homage to the traditional aspects of Moroccan culture—specifically the culture that is preserved, practiced, and created by women for other women and by women for the broader Moroccan socio-cultural fabric.” “We see the duality of femininity in this video,” she stated, “how it is joyous and full of celebration and how it is equally painful and filled with a great deal of expectation, which can sometimes become burdensome for women to carry.” “Yet,” she added,” “Manal’s vision of these dynamics does not sacrifice the visual stimulant of beauty though it seeks to relay a potent political message.” Manal Benchlikha is undoubtedly leaving her distinct mark around the globe as she continues to use her artistic talent to inspire the public and preserve the precious Moroccan culture. She is currently working to release her latest album, “360,” by May 2021, while also handling the launch of her brand Bari & Soch, and using her platforms to positively influence the public.

Minecraft Experts Can Get Paid For Virtual Landscaping Services Mark Twain once famously said, “Buy land. They’re not making it anymore.” It held true for a century, but Twain likely didn't imagine something like Minecraft when he said it. You can generate new land with just a few clicks, and one company is convinced that people need experts to help them landscape it, as well. As spotted by CNN, a UK-based company called Whatshed is looking to hire a team of virtual landscapers who can give players advice on how to “improve their in-game outdoor space.” The company is primarily focused on offering advice on outdoor buildings like sheds and workshops, as well as greenhouses, and with the pandemic keeping so many inside, it’s likely a good portion of players have been diving deep into Minecraft for the first time. Now Playing: 12 Minutes Of Minecraft RTX Update Gameplay Applicants need to have experience with Minecraft already, though not necessarily with landscaping--they do need to be able to demonstrate a “passion for gardening” and the outdoors. Proficiency with shears is probably not required. One humorous line in the “responsibilities” section of the listing says that landscapers must provide suggestions that stay within a client’s “budget.” Whether this means real money based on hourly work or Minecoin in the game isn’t clear, but another page also mentions the latter. If you’re on the other side and want to hire a virtual landscape gardener for your Minecraft world, you can also sign up on the same website. You’ll get an hour-long consultation and will then receive mockup designs and ideas for how to improve your world. This is truly the future. Minecraft is available on basically everything at this point, including Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and mobile. The majority of supported platforms also feature cross-play, so it shouldn’t matter which platform the consultant is on versus the client.

Microsoft has made the next version of Windows, known as 21H1, available to commercial customers ahead of its release to General Availability. The code's arrival is an indicator that the release, already lurking in the Windows Insider program, is just about ready. Although judging by the tumbleweed blowing through the Insider program, users should not expect much whizzbangery this time around. Indeed, delivery will follow the same pattern as the update from 2004 to 20H2 and consist of an enablement package to bring things up to date; a first for an H1 (first half of the year) release, which have required a full install in the past. "We optimized this release to support our customers' most pressing needs," explained Microsoft last month when it was attempting to justify the paucity of changes this time around. As such, 21H1 remains little more than a jumped-up servicing pack, the features of which will have already been downloaded to 2004 and 20H2 devices. A "master switch" will be flicked on by the enablement package to bring 21H1 to life. Minor though it may be, it is still a change, and IT professionals responsible for fleets of Windows 10 devices must validate it before it is unleashed (just ask those unfortunates playing whack-a-mole with Microsoft's recent printer patches). Those using Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) can opt to go for a full update to 21H1 or just test out the enablement package path. An ISO image is also available as well as a preview on Azure Marketplace for those who prefer their hardware virtual. As for when the final release will occur, the experience of 20H2 would hint at a May arrival, just in time for Microsoft's Build event. So minor are the updates this time around, however, that there is every possibility that somebody within the bowels of Redmond might press the button early. However, once 21H1 is out of the gate, Microsoft's long-suffering Windows fans will expect some sort of official clarification of what is to appear in the second half of 2021 (over and above the odd targeted "leak") and, whisper it, perhaps an update regarding the company's next great hope: Windows 10X. ®
