Modern Combat 5: Blackout is a 2014 first-person shooter developed by Gameloft Bucharest and published by Gameloft. It is the fifth installment of the Modern Combat series and the sequel to Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour. It was released on July 24, 2014 for iOS, Android, Windows Phone 8, Windows 8.1 and BlackBerry 10, on October 24, 2018 for Steam, and for Nintendo Switch on February 14, 2019. It was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 15, 2019. It is the first game in the series that is developed by Gameloft Bucharest. The World Liberation Army, a terrorist organization, had attacked Venice to steal chemical weapons held by the United Nations. Cayden Phoenix, a freelance military contractor working for Gillam Security, is sent to Venice as part of a security task force to counter the terrorists. His companion, Jonathan "Bull" Taylor, is dismissed for suspicions of illegal arms sales. After the counter-insurgency, Phoenix travels to a battle-destroyed Tokyo for a Gillam Security cybersecurity summit, where he concludes with Sophie "Roux" Daviau, her supervisor that the attack on Venice was supported by Gillam Security. Phoenix also reveals the company's blackmail tactics, forcing him to not investigate further as to risk damage to his daughter. However, Phoenix is intercepted by an explosion, and he awakes in the Rinnōji Temple. Phoenix escapes from the raider-controlled temple with assistance from a nurse, and meets with Isaac Tukura and a man named Andrews. They travel back to Tokyo to a safe house. Their travel is intercepted by raiders and Gilman Security drones. As they arrive at their safe house, attacks continue before Roux and others disperse drone forces. Now safe, Roux and Phoenix continue their conversation, where Roux reveals that Bull will make a deal with terrorist Everett Saunders. It is also revealed that Gilman controlled the World Liberation Army, and that they planned to start a world war via cyber security attacks and chemical warfare. Phoenix and others kills Bull before he can work further with terrorists, and upon returning, he plans to infiltrate Gilman headquarters to retrieve information that would prove Gilman's involvement with terrorist organizations. They hack Gilman and retrieve information, only to be intercepted by Saunders. In a final confrontation, Phoenix kills Saunders, and later, the information Roux gathered is given to the UN. Gilman executives are arrested, and warfare in Tokyo ends. Gameplay in Modern Combat 5: Blackout is similar to previous entries in the series. The player can shoot, crouch, sprint, throw grenades, aim, reload their weapons, leap to obstacles, knife enemies, change/pick up weapons, and use abilities supported by the equipped class. A new key feature to Modern Combat 5 is the ability to choose soldier classes ranging from assault, heavy, sniper, recon, support, bounty hunter, sapper, X-1 Morph, and the Kommander. Each of which has its own different perks and weapons), although a player's class does not prevent the player from picking up different classes' weapons in-game. As the player continues in certain classes and acquires a "weapon score", new guns and attachments to use in both the campaign and multiplayer are unlocked. Modern Combat 5 is the first Modern Combat game in the series to use DRM and requires a constant internet connection to play (an internet connection is required for the campaign as well as multiplayer). One major change in the campaign of Blackout, compared to previous Modern Combat titles, is that the missions are shorter. A mission can last five to ten minutes, noticeably shorter than missions of previous entries. Modern Combat 5: Blackout also introduces allies, characters who follow along with the player, often joining in during conflicts. Like Zero Hour, the campaign missions in Modern Combat 5: Blackout vary in style. The game is primarily a first person shooter, but missions include controlling turrets on boats, helicopters, and even drones.

Dirt Rally (stylised as DiRT Rally) is a racing video game developed and published by Codemasters for Microsoft Windows. A Steam Early Access version of the game was released on 27 April 2015, and the full version was released on 7 December 2015. PlayStation 4, Xbox One and physical PC DVD versions were released on 5 April 2016. The Linux and macOS versions, developed by Feral Interactive, were released on 2 March 2017. A sequel, Dirt Rally 2.0, was announced in September 2018. Dirt Rally is a racing video game focused on rallying. Players compete in timed stage events on tarmac and off-road terrain in varying weather conditions. On release, the game featured 17 cars, 36 stages from three real world locations - Monte Carlo, Powys and Argolis - and asynchronous multiplayer. Stages range from 4 to 16 km. Subsequent updates added three more locations in the form of Baumholder, Jämsä and Värmland, as well as rallycross and player versus player multiplayer modes. Codemasters announced a partnership with the FIA World Rallycross Championship in July 2015, leading to the inclusion of the Lydden Hill Race Circuit (England), Lånkebanen (Norway), and Höljesbanan (Sweden) to the game. In terms of image quality, a full 1080p resolution is delivered on both PS4 and Xbox One, with post-process anti-aliasing, along with matching art and effects work, whereas the PC version includes Steam Workshop that consists of preset setups made from each vehicles by users that helps benefit races from different terrains from different tracks (though the game holds up to 100 mods as subscribing to more than 100 mods will not function). Dirt Rally was developed by Codemasters using the in-house Ego engine. Development began with a small team of individuals following the release of their 2012 video game Dirt: Showdown. The team has emphasised a desire to create a simulation with Dirt Rally. They started by prototyping a handling model and creating tracks based on map data. The game employs a different physics model from previous titles, rebuilt from zero.An early version of Dirt Rally was showcased to journalists in late 2013, but the game wasn't officially announced until 27 April 2015. It was released later that day for Microsoft Windows in early access on digital distribution service Steam. Game director Paul Coleman stated that it was important to publicly release an unfinished build of the game so that the development team could get feedback from players. He expressed an interest in releasing Dirt Rally on consoles in the future but said that it was not possible currently with it being an early access game.Codemasters intended to introduce new cars, locations, and modes in monthly content updates, and make gameplay tweaks throughout the early access process. The full version of the game was released on 7 December 2015. The game was released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 5 April 2016.

Robert K. Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots, was charged Friday with two counts of soliciting sex from a prostitute, according to the police in Jupiter, Fla. The charges against Mr. Kraft, 77, were part of a broad investigation into prostitution and human trafficking in day spas and massage parlors in Florida. The police say the parlors were used for prostitution, and that many of the women involved were considered to be victims. The investigation involved multiple law enforcement agencies, and resulted in raids and arrests connected to nearly a dozen businesses in the region. At least one person, Lanyun Ma, 49, was charged with human trafficking. More than two dozen men, ranging in age from 34 to 81, have been arrested. All of the sexual encounters that have resulted in charges were videotaped as part of the investigation, the police said. The police, who said they had been investigating massage parlors in the area for six months, arrested “nearly 200” people, though only a fraction have been arrested so far. Mr. Kraft was said to have patronized a spa called Orchids of Asia, in Jupiter. The police said Mr. Kraft visited a spa in Jupiter twice, dropped off by a driver. A spokesman for Mr. Kraft and the Patriots released a statement, saying: “We categorically deny that Mr. Kraft engaged in any illegal activity. Because it is a judicial matter, we will not be commenting further.” Mr. Kraft has owned the Patriots since 1994. The team has been the most successful in the N.F.L. since then, and won its sixth Super Bowl title on Feb. 3, defeating the Los Angeles Rams, 13-3, in Atlanta. While Mr. Kraft lives in Massachusetts, he has owned property in Palm Beach, Fla., for a number of years. A powerful voice among the small fraternity of N.F.L. owners, Mr. Kraft is also a vocal supporter and friend of President Trump. Earlier this month, Mr. Kraft said on Fox News that Mr. Trump was “working very hard to serve the best interests of the country.”

When Rolls-Royce first floated the idea of an SUV model in 2013, industry observers accepted it with a sigh of inevitability while brand purists flinched and promptly spilled Grey Poupon on their tuxedos. The Anglo-Germanic luxury automaker's SUV experiment doesn't seem so heretical today, helped in no small part by the fact that Bentley sneaked into the SUV party first and was joined around the same time by Maserati, Lamborghini and Alfa Romeo. Aston Martin will follow in just a couple of years, and from the looks of it, Ferrari will too. In fact, the Cullinan has proved to be so po[CENSORED]r that Rolls-Royce, which officially shunned the term SUV shortly until the Cullinan's debut, can barely keep up with the demand, Automotive News reports. The marque's state of the art Goodwood, U.K., factory is running at 100 percent capacity while the order bank is full through July 2019 -- Goodwood has even hired 200 employees to keep up, Automotive News says. And that's for an SUV that starts at $325,000 and whose option book can "fit" the price equivalent of several other SUVs -- the one we drove back in October was optioned up to $380,000 and most will be about $450,000 out the door. That's $125,000 in options Half of Cullinan buyers are new to the brand, Martin Fritsches, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Americas told Automotive News. "I would like to have a little bit more supply," Fritsches added. "And I don't get it because we are running on 100 percent of production capacity, increasing the production capacity throughout the weeks and months, but still not being able to catch up to demand." Is this a temporary rush for a model that has just launched a few months ago, or a longer-term trend for all luxury brands? Rolls-Royce fully expected the Cullinan to become the brand's best-selling model, a mantle held by the Dawn convertible until the Cullinan's debut. This means the company knew it would have a hit on its hands long before the first example rolled out of the gates at Goodwood, back when the economy was a little less receptive to $450,000 SUVs. Now, in 2019, the question may very well be: Can Rolls-Royce keep up with the demand

WASHINGTON - President Donald Trump said Sen. Bernie Sanders, who entered the growing field for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination on Tuesday, had "missed his time" for a successful bid for the White House. Trump has repeatedly raised the definition of the threat of socialism in politics, most recently on Monday directed at Venezuelan-Americans. Many have viewed Trump's remarks as at least partly aimed at a number of progressive Democrats running to be unsaid in 2020, including Sanders. "Personally, I think he missed his time," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Tuesday. "I wish Bernie well, it will be interesting to see how he does." Sanders, an independent from Vermont, announces that it will once again seek the Democratic nomination, which is likely to be a po[CENSORED]r candidate, with many more expected to join. Sanders lost to Hillary Clinton in 2016, but won wide support in the Democratic party's liberal wing. "I'm running for president, we need leadership," Sanders wrote in the email. "Women and men, black, white, Latino, Native American, Asian American, gay and straight, young and old, native born, and immigrant." Sanders describes a democratic socialist and focused on social and economic justice, a platform seen by the Democratic Party. Trump spoke to reporters Tuesday after signing a policy directive to create his long-promised Space Force, an arm of the military. He also took a swipe at train Texas Rep. Beto O'Rourke, who ran an unsuccessful campaign for Senate in Texas last year and who is considering a run for president in 2020, proposing the Democrat's comments about a borderline "were probably the end of his political career." "You have a lot of people running." But only one person is going to win, "Trump said. "I hope you know who that person is."

Secure messaging apps have become somewhat commonplace on smartphones but few services exist across all major platforms. To that end, Skype is rolling out end-to-end encryption within Private Conversations using Signal Protocol. Signal is an open source project currently found in WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Google Allo. Invites to secure chats must be accepted within seven days before an invitation expires. A lock icon will appear next to a contact's name to show that a conversation is encrypted. In order to further protect privacy, Private Conversations will not be shown in Chats or in any form of notification. Editing of messages is prohibited and forwarding of files is also disabled. Full encryption covers audio messages, text chat and files but is not implemented for standard audio and video calling. Encrypted conversations are locked to the device they are started on. A separate invite must be sent to switch over to another device. Skype already has encryption for voice, file transfers and instant messaging but not end-to-end encryption. Many common Skype activities expose data that is not encrypted at various points between two users. Most notably, local storage is not encrypted at all for standard conversations. Currently, only Skype Insiders are able to try out Private Conversations for themselves. Matching build versions between users is required to try out the feature. If and when Signal integration is brought to a final release, it is expected that all users above the initial release version will be able to securely interact. Additional protection of communication may not be seen as important to everyone but could be enough to get more users to consider Skype as their preferred means of contact.

Natural Grocers, America’s Nutrition Education ExpertSM, surveyed more than 70 of the company’s nutrition experts and pored over the latest research to identify the expected top 10 breakout trends in nutrition and health in 2019. Here are the top 10 hottest nutrition trends in 2019: Mitochondrial optimization will keep healthy fats in focus Five years ago, the buzzword was microbiome. This year it is mitochondria. Mitochondria are our cells’ “power plants,” converting oxygen and food into the energy our body needs to stay alive and thrive. When your mitochondria are dysfunctional, not only will your energy reserve decrease, resulting in fatigue and brain fog, but you can also become vulnerable to degenerative diseases like heart disease, diabetes and neurodegenerative diseases. The best way to support healthy mitochondria function is to eat more fat! Healthy fat, that is. Mitochondria function at their best when fueled by fat, not carbs. One tool to support mitochondria is the trending ketogenic diet. In 2019, expect to hear more about mitochondrial health and look to see brands embracing more high-fat focused and ketogenic products to support optimal mitochondrial function. Collagen and bone broth are easier than ever Scoop by healthy scoop, collagen has gained mainstream interest over the past year as everyone adds it to their smoothies, matchas and lattes in the quest for glowing skin, healthy joints and gut healing. In 2019, as more collagen and bone broth products enter the market, so will convenient opportunities for consumers to take collagen on a daily basis. Supplement companies will continue to offer an array of collagen products, including collagen powders, gummies and drinks; marine collagen powders; and even vegan-friendly collagen precursors. Bone broth is one of the richest food sources of collagen, and it will continue its expansion into the mainstream as well. Companies are looking for unique and simple ways for consumers to try out bone broth, including bone broth protein bars, pre-made soups and even bone-broth infused coffee! Sorry sugar, we’re breaking up with you In 2019, consumers will continue to become aware of how much sugar is insidiously added to almost everything we eat. Look in your pantry and refrigerator and you’re likely to find the major culprits— ketchup, barbecue sauce, flavored yogurts, coffee creamers, chips, breads, cereals, spaghetti sauce, fruit juice, sports drinks and even bacon! This year, learn how to break up with sugar. Once you become a savvy monitor of added sugar, it will become easier to for you to avoid it and enjoy the health benefits you’re bound to experience. The shroom boom In the last several years, the amount of scientific research published on mushrooms has exploded. Turns out, mushrooms hold the power to support the immune system, blood sugar balance, brain health, liver health, respiratory health, hormone balance and can even boost energy levels. In response to the growing mountain of research promoting the health benefits of mushrooms, the supplement, grocery and even body-care industries are introducing more ways to try out these fungal superheroes. Supplement companies are turning out a variety of mushroom-centric supplements, geared toward everything from brain health to immunity. The stunning benefits of mushrooms are influencing new grocery products as well. We’ll continue to see the category grow, with more mushroom teas, tonics, broths and coffees making an appearance in 2019. Nootropics + neuroplasticity Neuroplasticity is the now proven principle that we can change the structure and function of our brains throughout our lives and that our thoughts, emotions and behavior are the primary means of doing that. Supplements help too. Best. News. Ever. Right? The discovery of neuroplasticity has led to the explosion of natural nootropics. Nootropics are substances that can be taken to improve mental performance in healthy people (one of the most well-known nootropics is the caffeine found in the beloved cup of morning coffee) and they are most often used to boost memory, focus, creativity, intelligence and motivation. Nootropics may also reduce age-related declines in brain function. Look for more brain-boosting formulas on the supplement shelves in the coming year. Promoting the body’s ability to heal itself We will see companies meet the demands of consumers who want to swap their use of over-the-counter (OTC) meds and prescription drugs for natural remedies that support the body in healing. Instead of opening the medicine cabinet, people will use a combination of lifestyle choices, herbal remedies and vitamin supplementation to support the body in times of discomfort. Immune support remedies like mushrooms, elderberry, manuka honey throat sprays and natural zinc lozenges will dominate. Additionally, we’ll see more alternatives to common OTC remedies and prescription drugs for digestive discomfort and general pain management. 2019 will be the year of supporting the structure and function of the body in a multitude of ways with beneficial natural remedies. Green beauty boom A recent study revealed that the products we slather on our bodies daily, like shampoo and deodorant, can create plumes of petrochemical emissions. The researchers, who originally set out to record emissions around the city of Boulder, Colorado, discovered strange spikes in the data, especially during the morning commute, that weren’t coming from cars. Instead, the compounds were from personal care products that emit D5 siloxane, a chemical emollient found in certain body care products. That’s right, your deodorant and lotion are potentially as toxic as your vehicle’s tailpipe! Consumers are becoming more aware about the slew of chemicals that come from body care products, including ubiquitous endocrine disruptors, and are looking for products with ingredient lists that don’t require a chemistry degree to understand. In 2019, expect companies to offer a wide variety of clean body care products with simple, natural ingredients that work! Ingredient lists over nutrition facts We’ve likely all grappled with counting calories and grams of fat, but in 2019, a new paradigm is bound to free us from some of the struggles we’ve formed around food, nutrition and our everyday health. Nutrition labels will be demoted and instead, consumers will read and make food choices based on ingredient labels. The days of counting every single calorie are nearing an end. Rather than glorifying macronutrient logs and adhering to extremely strict dietary guidelines, 2019 will foster a friendlier relationship with food that focuses on simple, clean ingredients in products made with whole, real foods. Lutein reigns supreme over blue light Blue light—from our smart phones, tablets, computers, TVs and even light bulbs—has become ever-present, and a growing body of research is showing that all of this blue-light exposure can damage the retina of the eye and can lead to age-related macular degeneration1 (i.e., the leading cause of blindness in older adults).i Excessive blue light also disrupts the circadian rhythm, which plays many roles in health, including regulating the sleep-wake cycle, hormone balance, digestion and body temperature.2 Enter lutein. Lutein preferentially accumulates in the macula, the part of the retina responsible for central vision, where it filters damaging blue light and increases macular pigment density.3 And because the health of the retina is directly related to how well our brains age,ii lutein also benefits the brain (see nootropics above). In 2019, lutein will solidify its role as protector of the eyes and the brain. Love your liver While it shouldn’t be “trendy” to have fatty liver disease, unfortunately the disease is trending. In 2018 we were shocked to learn that millennials are getting fatty liver disease faster than any other age group. According to the National Institutes of Health, up to 40 percent of U.S. adults have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.4We believe that loving your liver will be a trend in 2019. Consumers will clean up their diets, ditching culprits like high fructose corn syrup and vegetable oils and will embrace “mocktails” to reduce alcohol consumption. We also predict an increase in sales of herbal supplements that support liver health, like milk thistle and berberine, as well as MCT oil, which has been shown to reduce fat in the liver.

ANTISEMITISM - Olivier Faure, first secretary of the PS on Monday called Emmanuel Macron to participate in the rally against anti-Semitism, organized by 14 political parties. While the President of the Republic will not go to the meeting place of the Republic in Paris, the Prime Minister will be part of the procession, said his entourage at LCI. For its part, the National Gathering has indicated that it will organize its own "tribute to the victims of anti-Semitic acts". A symbol. Faced with the resurgence of anti-Semitic acts, political movements have called, all sides combined, a large gathering place of the Republic in Paris and throughout France. This Monday, Olivier Faure, first secretary of the PS called Emmanuel Macron to participate in the Paris rally, to "embody the Republic". If the President of the Republic can not go there, his Prime Minister will participate. Edouard Philippe joins the six ministers of the government, including Jean-Michel Blanquer and Benjamin Griveaux, who had already announced that they would participate in the rally. France Insoumise, indicates for its part, not to have been officially invited but announced that it would sign the call. Its leader Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who denounced on Twitter "a gross provocation of the PS", should be present at the meeting in Paris, according to Manon Aubry, head of list LFI for the Europeans. Similarly for the president of France's standing Nicolas Dupont-Aignan. The National Rally of Marine Le Pen was not invited, but Jean-Lin Lacapelle, National Delegate of the RN, said that "those who want to go will go". In a statement released Monday afternoon, the National Gathering said it does not intend to "parade alongside formations and political leaders who have either done nothing for thirty years or have encouraged." Marine Le Pen's party will organize its own "tribute to the victims of anti-Semitic acts by taking the initiative of high symbolic gestures". If Gilles Lebreton, the party's European deputy, admitted on Twitter that the call to march was a "good idea", he nevertheless felt that the former National Front had become the "scapegoat" of the parties that provoked " the rise of radical Islam ". More organizations, including the New Anti-Capitalist Party, have also called for an alternative rally Tuesday at 7 pm in the district of Menilmontant, in Paris, "against anti-Semitism and all racism," denouncing in the planned rally on the square of the Republic "a recovery" policy.

The latest chapter of Washington dysfunction has culminated in drastic action by the president in order to deliver his key campaign promise. But as his opponents shake their heads and counter-punch through the courts, the historical lessons do not bode well for them, writes Jonathan Turley, professor of constitutional law at George Washington University. President Donald Trump's declaration of a national emergency to build his long-promised border wall was met with a torrent of condemnations and threats from Democratic critics, including preparation for another heated court fight. American politics have not been so bitter and divided since Benjamin Franklin and John Adams were forced to share the same bed in 1776. There is a fundamental incompatibility - if not mutual revulsion - that divides our politics and its focus has fittingly become a debate over a wall. Does the reality at the border matter? After securing only part of the funding that he sought, President Trump declared a national emergency along the southern border to allow him to start construction with over $8bn (£6.2bn) of shifted funds to complete his signature campaign promise. For their part, the Democrats are promising immediate court challenges. There is little evidence of a true national security emergency on the US border with Mexico. Most illegal immigrants overstay their visas or pass through ports of entry. Moreover, the number of apprehensions are down from 1.6 million in 2000 to roughly 400,000 in each year of Trump's term. That does not mean that border protection and enhanced enforcement is not warranted. Crossings do remain a serious problem, but few would call this a national emergency.

Ori and the Blind Forest is a platform-adventure Metroidvania video game developed by Moon Studios and published by Microsoft Studios. The game was released for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One on March 2015. In the game, players assume control of Ori, a white guardian spirit, and Sein, the "light and eyes" of the Forest's Spirit Tree. To progress in the game, players are tasked to move between platforms and solve puzzles. The game features a system called "soul links", which allows players to save at will, and an upgrade system that gives players the ability to strengthen Ori's skills. The game was developed by Moon Studios. The game was acquired by Microsoft Studios a year after the beginning of the game's development. The game story was inspired by The Lion King and The Iron Giant, while some of the gameplay elements were inspired by the Rayman and Metroid franchises. Upon release, the game received critical acclaim, with players praising the game's gameplay, art style, story, action sequences, musical score, and environmental design. Moon Studios co-founder Gennadiy Korol said the game was profitable for the company within a few weeks after its initial launch. A Definitive Edition was released in 2016. A sequel, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, was announced during Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017. The voice of the Spirit Tree in the forest of Nibel narrates the story of when Ori, a white guardian spirit, fell from the tree during a storm as a newborn and was adopted by a creature named Naru, who raised Ori as her own. A cataclysmic event soon makes all of the forest wither, and Naru dies of starvation. Newly orphaned, Ori was left to explore the forest on their own. After collapsing near the Spirit Tree and being restored to life by it, Ori later meets Sein (pronounced /saɪn/), a being in the shape of a small blue orb, who both guides Ori on their adventure and attacks enemies. To restore the forest, Sein guides Ori to recover the light of three main elements supporting the balance of Nibel: Waters, Winds and Warmth. Ori and Sein come across two beings in their quest: Gumo, the last survivor of the spider-like Gumon clan and whose home supports the Wind element; and Kuro, a giant, shadowy owl who is hostile toward Ori. Her hostility and the forest's cataclysm are explained in flashbacks. When Ori was lost, the Spirit Tree released a flash of light to look for them, which killed all of Kuro's recently hatched offspring. Determined to prevent this from happening to her yet unborn child, Kuro took away the core on top of the Spirit Tree, which is actually Sein. Without the Spirit Tree's support, the three elements cannot be sustained, and Nibel lost its balance. As the element of Wind is rekindled, Gumo, realizing what Ori and Sein intend to do, uses his clan treasure that stores the light from the Spirit Tree to revive Naru, and takes her to where Ori is. After the final element, Warmth, is restored in the volcano Mount Horu, Kuro captures Ori and Sein as the fire from Horu starts to spread. Naru, who had been separated from Gumo, arrives to protect Ori from Kuro. Kuro softens, remembering the pain of losing her children. As the fire spreads and is about to reach her remaining egg, Kuro takes Sein back to the Spirit Tree, which emits a flash of bright light that dissipates the fire and restores the forest, but Kuro is destroyed by the light. Time passes as the forest begins to flourish once more, and Ori is shown sitting on a log watching new spirits being born in the field at the foot of the Spirit Tree. Gumo and Naru watch together from afar, before the latter goes home, where Kuro's last egg now rests, just in time to see it begin to hatch.

Like its predecessor, Legend of Grimrock II is a tile-based real-time dungeon crawler, inspired by titles such as Dungeon Master, but it adds a number of modern features, such as nonlinear gameplay, multi-height levels, persistent injuries, and underwater sequences. In the game, players control a party of one to four characters which they move through a 3D rendered grid-based world in first-person view. The party characters have skill levels for different types of weapons, magic spells, and additional traits such as evasion or alchemy. Their starting skills vary depending on their race and background, and they gain further skill points by defeating enemies. Game progress occurs through a combination of puzzle solving and combat. The puzzles vary between observational challenges, riddles, logic puzzles, hidden treasures and environmental mechanical puzzles. Many puzzles are optional, but grant superior items and equipment for solving them. In combat, the characters in the party engage the enemies in real time, which allows for maneuvering in the environment while simultaneously fighting enemies. The game has additional difficulty modes that disable the in-game map system and allow saving only in predefined locations for a single time. In the game, the party of prisoners gets stranded on the mysterious island of Nex after their transport ship is caught in a severe thunderstorm and gets wrecked on the island beach. The prisoners gradually explore the island and discover forests, rivers and swamps on the ground level, and ancient ruins and crypts below it. Their progress is monitored by the elusive Island Master who alternates between providing hints for the prisoners and taunting them of upcoming challenges. The prisoners gather a number of elemental gems scattered around the island, and use them to enter the castle that towers in the middle of the island. On top of the castle, they encounter the Island Master, defeat him, and escape from the island. An alternative ending sees the party confront the Island Master in a hidden dungeon to learn the island's real purpose: to protect and defend the secrets of creation. Legend of Grimrock II was originally designed as downloadable content (DLC) for the first game. Almost Human soon realized that developing it as a DLC was constraining them because of the game engine limitations. They also had ambition and enough ideas for a full sequel. In the beginning of 2013, a decision was made to set the game on an island which drove the game design towards non-linearity. The budget was significantly higher than the first game, mainly because of the larger team size and twice as long development time. As of November 2014, the game has almost made its budget back.

Destiny 2 is an online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and published by Activision. It was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6, 2017, followed by a Microsoft Windows version the following month. It is the sequel to 2014's Destiny and its subsequent expansions. Set in a "mythic science fiction" world, the game features a multiplayer "shared-world" environment with elements of role-playing games. Like the original, activities in Destiny 2 are divided among player versus environment (PvE) and player versus player (PvP) game types. In addition to normal story missions, PvE features three-player "strikes" and six-player raids. A free roam patrol mode is also available for each planet and features public events as well as new activities not featured in the original. These new activities have an emphasis on exploration of the planets and interactions with non-player characters (NPCs); the original Destiny only featured NPCs in social spaces. PvP features objective-based modes, as well as traditional deathmatch game modes. Players assume the role of a Guardian, protectors of Earth's last safe city as they wield a power called Light to protect the Last City from different alien races. One of these races, the Cabal, led by the warlord Dominus Ghaul, infiltrate the Last City and strips all Guardians of their Light. The player sets out on a journey to regain their Light and find a way to defeat Ghaul and his Red Legion army and take back the Last City. Like the original Destiny, the game features expansion packs which further the story and adds new content and missions. Year One of Destiny 2 featured two small expansions, Curse of Osiris in December 2017 and Warmind in May 2018. A third, large expansion, Forsaken, was released in September 2018, beginning Year Two with an overhaul on gameplay. The base game and the first three expansions were packaged into Destiny 2: Forsaken Legendary Collection. Upon release, Destiny 2 received generally favorable reviews from critics. The game received praise for its many improvements over its predecessor. The original Destiny received much criticism for its story, but Destiny 2 was praised as having a "more robust story" and an actual fleshed out villain. As with the original, gameplay for the most part was also highly praised. Reviews were split on the recategorization of the weapons and the newer activities like the Adventures and Lost Sectors, but praise was unanimous on the exploration of the game world. Changes to PvP were welcomed by some reviewers, though others were critical for the mode lacking player choice. Destiny 2 was nominated for and won various awards, such as at The Game Awards 2017 and Game Critics Awards. Similar to its predecessor, Destiny 2 is a first-person shooter game that incorporates role-playing and massively multiplayer online game (MMO) elements. The original Destiny includes on-the-fly matchmaking that allowed players to communicate only with other players with whom they were "matched" by the game. To communicate with other players in the game world, players had to use their respective console's messaging system. Destiny 2 features a more optimal way of matchmaking called "Guided Games", which allows players to search for clans who may need additional players for activities, such as strikes or raids. Like the original, activities in Destiny 2 are divided among player versus environment (PvE) and player versus player (PvP) game types.
