Jon Peddie Research (JPR) has published the full GPU market share report for Q3 2022 that cover AMD, Intel & NVIDIA GPUs. While we reported their full GPU market share report a few days ago, today, we will be talking specifically about the discrete GPU numbers which are just as grim as the full PC share report. Despite Dwindling GPU Shipments, NVIDIA Gains Discrete GPU Market Share Big Time While AMD Falls Below Single-Digit Figures During Q3 2022, total PC GPU shipments declined by -25.1% (Y/Y) out of which desktop graphics saw a -15.43% decline and notebook graphics saw a -30% decline. This was termed as 'the biggest drop since the 2009' recision by Jon Peddie himself. More on the overall GPU market share here. So coming to the discrete GPU market share numbers, the report tells us that the dGPU shipments decline to 14 million units versus 24 million units in the previous year. That's a drop of -41.6% & is quite massive if you consider that the third quarter is usually the strongest growth quarter for PCs. During this quarter, NVIDIA managed to raise its market hold to 88%, a record number followed by AMD whose market hold declined to single-digit figures of just 8%. Intel managed to more or less retain its share hold of 4%, witnessing a 1% decline from the previous quarter but a solid 4-5% gain versus the previous year. The market saw a large uptick in GPU shipments for a brief two-year period all thanks to the crypto craze but it has been on a decline ever since. Currently, the number has fallen before the 100M unit shipments and doing a breakdown, we can see that all segments are mostly down. The desktop & notebook discrete shipments have taken a landslide fall while the desktop and notebook integrated side remains steady and in line with previous years. link: https://wccftech.com/q3-2022-discrete-gpu-market-share-report-nvidia-gains-amd-intel-in-single-digit-figures/

Here's what we know about the long-awaited Skull and Bones Skull and Bones could finally be releasing, and fans of seafaring pirate adventures don't have all that long to wait. It's been rocky road getting there, but the launch of Skull and Bones is now well within reach. Barring anymore delays that is. If you've been following Skull and Bones since the beginning, you'll know that the game has been retooled a couple of times over the past few years. It originally started out as more of a multiplayer experience, but now offers something altogether more singleplayer focused. Now, it's all about customizing your character, taking them from being a washed up nobody to a full-fledged pirate legend. Now that we have what seems to be the final release date for Skull and Bones, we're starting to see what the final product is going to look like. It's still possible we may see another delay, here's hoping we don't, but for now here's what we know about Skull and Bones so far. This includes all the latest news, which will be added to this page as it is revealed by Ubisoft. After the most recent delay, Skull and Bones will launch March 9, 2023. This follows a new showcase which gave us our best look at the game yet. It will release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. When Skull and Bones was announced it was only confirmed to release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Though, back then, it was due for release in 2018. After many delays, and the launch of the new generation of consoles, Skull and Bones has now dropped PS4 and Xbox One. It'll still be on PC but instead, it's coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S, too. There have been reports of Skull and Bones' development troubles, which we'll go into more below, but we started getting hints that Ubisoft was getting ready to announce a new released ate when, back in March, the game's website received a redesign. Another hint dropped during an earnings call in February 2022 (via VGC), Ubisoft stated that it is aiming to release Skull and Bones during its next fiscal year, meaning the developer was aiming to release the game by April 2023. Thanks to an Ubisoft Forward, we learned that Skull and Bones planned to launch on November 8, 2022, a day before God of War Ragnarok. This obviously did not hold true. Skull & Bones will also be Ubisoft's first game to sell under a $70 / £70 price tag for new-gen consoles, something it previously hadn't committed to. Speaking in a recent interview (via Axios), Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stated: "Some of the games will come at the same price as the competition. The big AAA games will come at $70." Kalos’ legendary bird returns to five-star raids in Pokemon Go from September 27 - October 8, 2022. Yveltal makes its return to Pokemon Go Gyms near you for a limited-time appearance in five-star raid battles. This legendary Pokemon is appearing along with the start of Pokemon Go’s Fashion Week event. Yveltal hasn’t been available in Pokemon Go since its debut in May 2021, so now is a great opportunity to catch one if you missed out before. Yveltal Raid Schedule Yveltal is appearing as the sole five-star raid boss in Pokemon Go from 10 AM local time on September 27, 2022 and will remain available to challenge in raids until the same time on October 8. Raids do not generally follow a set schedule, and Yveltal raids will appear randomly at Gyms around the world during this time period, but you will receive a notification from the game when a raid is about to begin nearby. Your best chance to find Yveltal raids is during the two Raid Hours in which the Destruction Pokemon will be featured. Every Wednesday from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, the majority of Gyms host five-star raids for Trainers to work together to take down. The two Raid Hours that will occur while Yveltal is available to challenge will be on September 28 and October 5. As with all raids, you’ll need your free daily Raid Pass or a Premium Battle Pass to join a raid in person, or a Remote Raid Pass to join a raid remotely. Can I Catch a Shiny Yveltal? If you’re looking for Yveltal’s white and red shiny version, you’re in luck. This appearance in raids will be the first time shiny Yveltal will be available to Pokemon Go trainers. Remember that a shiny is never guaranteed, and you won’t know if an Yveltal will be shiny until after you’ve completed the raid, so be sure to do as many as you can to increase your chances of finding a shiny. Yveltal Weaknesses and Counters Yveltal is a Dark and Flying-type Pokemon. This means it takes super effective damage from Rock, Electric, Ice, and Fairy-type attacks. Some recommended Pokemon include: Electric: Mega Manectric, Zapdos, Xurkitree, Raikou, Electivire, Magnezone, Zekrom Fairy: Gardevoir, Togekiss, Granbull, Zacian Ice: Mega Abomasnow, Mamoswine, Galarian Darmanitan Rock: Mega Aerodactyl, Rhyperior, Rampardos, Terrakion, Tyranitar A Mega Tip: A Mega Evolved Pokemon boosts the damage of all Pokemon in the raid by 10%, and the damage of all Pokemon using attacks that share a type with the Mega Evolved Pokemon by 30%. Coordinate those Megas with your raid group for added damage. Note that while Mega Altaria will boost the damage of fellow Fairy types in the raid, its defensively oriented stats mean it likely won’t output enough damage of its own to be worth using. Mega Manectric, Abomasnow, or Aerodactyl would be ideal Megas to use in Yveltal raids. Don’t be afraid of the shadows: Shadow Pokemon deal 20% more damage than their non-shadow counterparts, so the shadow versions of any of the suggested Pokemon that have them can help you win. Types to Avoid Yveltal’s Dark and Flying-type attacks like Dark Pulse and Hurricane will deal super-effective damage to Psychic, Ghost, Fighting, Grass, and Bug-type Pokemon. It can also learn the Fighting-type move Focus Blast, which will hit back against the Rock and Ice-type counters used against it very hard. Also keep in mind that Yveltal’s typing provides it with resistances to Ghost, Dark, and Grass-type attacks, and double resistances to Psychic and Ground-type attacks. Stay away from Pokemon that use these types of attacks. Usefulness Is Yveltal worth raiding after you’ve gotten the new Pokedex entry and a shiny? Yveltal is a very good raid attacker for both of its types, and also has a strong position in the Master League meta. It’s definitely worth raiding a few to use in raids, and if you’re into Master League, it would be worth raiding to get enough Candy XL to bring one to level 50. Expect to see improved stability, and haircuts. Fatshark's co-op Ogryn party simulator Warhammer 40,000: Darktide has been in preorder beta for just under a week, and in that time players have been pointing out various issues. Chief among those issues: crashes. While I've been lucky enough to only have Darktide crash on me twice, plenty of others have found it to be less stable. The patch notes(opens in new tab) for version 1.0.7 identify six different types of crashes that have now been purged: matchmaking crashes, cutscene alt-tabbing crashes, falling-out-of-bounds crashes, crashes caused by starting a mission with a specific feat equipped, crashes caused by certain weapon traits, and multiple crashes caused by the Beast of Nurgle. As if we didn't have enough reasons to hate Beasts of Nurgle already. Fatshark says that, while many of the causes of crashes have been dealt with, "there is one big category of crashes manifested as 'GPU-hangs', that probably still will show its ugly face at times. That said, we are on a good trajectory to have a stable game at the time of release due in large part to the many players that are helping provide us with the required data to help address these issues." Together we all do our part to serve the Graphics Card Imperium. As for new features added by this update, the big one is Oska Krall the Barber-Chirurgeon. This blood-spattered member of the Mourningstar's crew can be found in the hub, where he offers the chance to go back into character customization and tinker with your face, hair, scars, and tattoos. If you're starting to regret that droopy moustache or want to roll a full-blown Ogryn-Orson Welles(opens in new tab), now you can finally get rid of it. Though Krall mentions a cost, it's currently free to modify your appearance. This update also brings with it a big honking block of text in the top-left of the screen that says "Pre-Order Beta Test November 17-29, 2022." Presumably it's there to help out the many players who preordered Darktide so they could play the beta and then were confused by the fact it's a beta. Emperor preserve us. As for balance changes, the Psyker continues being reworked after a nerf from the initial beta was poorly received. The latest change removes the Peril cost of pushing with the force sword, while slightly reducing its range. "Peril cost is still there on the push follow-up, though," Fatshark says, "which should help to balance its ability to ignore the stagger reduction." Some weapons have been improved, making infantry autoguns, shredder autopistols, and Ogryn bully clubs more worthwhile choices. The attack attributes of ranged minions have been adjusted, and the pacing of spawns as well. Now, Fatshark says, "Locking the forces of chaos in melee should be a bit smoother while clamping down some of the more insane spikes in the pacing." Finally, being rescued or revived will now be shown in third-person, and a bug I'm kind of sad I never saw that caused "various issues where if you look straight down, the third-person character's head will twist and rotate 180 degrees" has been fixed. If you'd like to read more, here are the full notes: Stability/Bugs/Fixes Fixed a significant amount of crashes - matchmaking crashes both on server and client. Fixed “stuck in position 1” queuing issue Addressed many of the lack of XP in progression issues Fixed crashes that could occur when tabbing out while watching a cinematic Fixed crashes when a player fell out of bounds Fixed issues in the credit store where it was impossible to buy things with in-game currency Fixed issues where the third-person camera would follow the player when falling out of bounds. Fixed issues where the Tigrus Mk II Heavy Eviscerator damage stat did not work as intended, damage defaulted to 50%. Now should scale damage properly. Fixed issues where the start animation of a heavy attack with the Thunder Hammer could get stuck. Fixed multiple crashes caused by the Beast of Nurgle. Fixed crashes that could occur when leaving the Mourningstar to head on a mission when having a specific trait equipped. Fixed crashes that could occur with certain weapon traits. Fixed issues where a player could complete the 'Up Close and Personal' Penance without meeting the appropriate criteria. Fixed issues where Veteran Sharpshooter's 'Covering Fire' did not work correctly. Fixed issues with Zealot's talent descriptions not matching what they actually do. Fixed various issues where if you look straight down, the third-person character's head will twist and rotate 180 degrees. Fixed an issue where players would sometimes spawn with both weapons in hand. Fixed an issue where the Ogryn's Grenade Box collides with the primary weapon on block. Fixed an issue with the Armory where the stock may occasionally be refreshed prematurely before the timer should have elapsed. Added codes to be displayed alongside errors. Fixed an issue where "Toughness damage reduction" effects didn't work vs. melee damage. (both talents and coherency effects) Fixed an issue where Zealots "Regain toughness while in melee" talent didn't trigger properly. Rebalancing/Gameplay tweaks Veteran talent balance pass, bleeding. Zealot talent balance pass, toughness, and bleeding updates. Ogryn balance pass and grenade amounts adjusted. Ogryn club, attack combo adjusted. Damage values increased against certain enemy types. Ogryn shovel increased mobility Adjusted pacing w/ enemy characters, hordes, and spawns Additional Psyker gameplay adjustments, including removal of a 'push' charge cost for the Force Sword Bump up for autoguns and autopistols Ranged Minions attack attributes adjusted Player Interactions Changed revive/rescue/pullup states to be 3rd person Deepening Customization Added Chirurgeon of the Mourningstar LINK: https://www.pcgamer.com/darktides-107-patch-makes-progress-on-crashes-lets-you-fix-your-ugly-face/

Around 70% of the Ukrainian capital woke up without power on Thursday morning, as work continued to restore the city's water supply. Russian attacks on energy facilities have caused power cuts across Ukraine. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko told BBC Ukrainian he was not ruling out a "worst scenario" where the city would be without electricity, heat and water. President Volodymyr Zelensky's office later reported that "electricity is supplied to all regions" of Ukraine. The objects of critical infrastructure were revived first, said Kyrylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of the presidential office. "As of now, the connection to the network of household consumers is gradually proceeding," he added. Across Ukraine, winter is setting in, with snow and sub-zero temperatures. This morning, a thick wet mist hung over Kyiv. You could make out the shapes of nearby buildings, but barely. The only lights seemed to be the headlamps of cars. Many people now see their workplace as a refuge from the cold, because at least the heating is always on - unlike at home. But many in Kyiv seem matter-of-fact about the hardships they are facing, finding ways to work around it. More and more people are installing generators as a means of having back-up power. And running water is also no longer a guarantee - even before yesterday's latest missile attack. President Volodymyr Zelensky was defiant on social media, writing: "Light always prevails over darkness." He said Russian occupiers would never understand this, "existing for a long time in an impenetrable darkness themselves". Newborn baby killed in attack on Ukraine hospital In the western city of Lviv, power, water and heat have been restored, after it was left entirely without electricity, according to its mayor Andriy Sadovyi. But he said there would still be planned blackouts in parts of the city. Russia has been targeting missiles at Ukraine's energy network for weeks, with rolling power cuts becoming part of everyday life for millions of Ukrainians. In the capital, there has been huge disruption to mobile communication, with many unable to even make voice calls. Residents of high-rise blocks cannot cook food without electricity - and ordering online is a challenge too, given unstable internet access. Even though the city's water supply is being restored, thousands are still without drinking water. And supermarkets are struggling to accept card transactions. The problems follow 70 missile strikes across Ukraine on Wednesday, according to Mr Zelensky. Ten people were killed, said Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky, and three nuclear power plants were closed. Officials say they will be up and running again by Thursday evening - which should help to ease supply issues. More than half of neighbouring Moldova also had its electricity cut, but power was restored in much of the capital Chisinau within a few hours. The country's foreign ministry has reportedly summoned the Russian ambassador - and in a statement decried the "dramatic consequences" for Moldova of Russia's "brutal bombing of Ukraine". In an address to the UN Security Council, Volodymyr Zelensky accused Moscow of "an obvious crime against humanity". Millions had been left in the cold without heating, water or energy due to Moscow's "formula of terror", he said. The World Health Organization has warned the country faces a humanitarian catastrophe, as hospitals are left without energy. After Wednesday's strikes, a hospital in central Ukraine had to switch to generators as doctors carried out two kidney transplants. In a statement, Russia said it had used "high-precision" weapons in a mass strike to target energy sites linked to Ukraine's military, as well as other military infrastructure. It said it achieved its goal: disrupting the transport of Ukrainian reservists, foreign weaponry and ammunition to conflict zones. The Russian defence ministry also claimed "not a single strike" was carried out in Kyiv - suggesting all damage in residential areas was a result of Ukrainian and foreign anti-aircraft missiles. The auction house Christie's has called off the upcoming auction of a T. rex skeleton, known as Shen, after experts noticed it looked suspiciously similar to another famous T. rex specimen, Stan. The sale of a Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, which was expected to fetch up to $25 million, has been controversially called off shortly before the behemoth's bones were due to hit the auction block. The cancellation comes after experts raised concerns that a significant proportion of the bones are actually replicas from another famous T. rex skeleton, which was not disclosed by the auction house. The T. rex skeleton, known as Shen, was uncovered at the Hell Creek Formation in Montana and dates back to between 66 million and 68 million years ago during the Cretacous period (145 million to 66 million years ago). Shen is around 40 feet (12.2 meters) long, 15 feet (4.6 m) tall and 7 feet (2.1 m) wide, and it weighs in at around 3,000 pounds (1,400 kg). The dinosaur king was due to be auctioned off in Hong Kong on Nov. 30 by the U.K.-based auction house Christie's, and would have been the first T. rex to be sold in Asia. However, paleontologists noticed that a number of Shen's bones were remarkably similar to another famous T. rex skeleton, known as Stan, The New York Times(opens in new tab) reported. In 2020, Stan was auctioned by Christie's in New York for a whopping $32 million, making it the most expensive T. rex skeleton of all time. After mounting criticism, Christie's announced on Nov. 20 that it was pulling Shen from the upcoming auction just 10 days before it was due to go under the hammer, saying that the specimen would "benefit from further study," The New York Times reported. The similarities between Shen and Stan were first spotted by paleontologists from the Black Hills Institute of Geological Research (BHIGR) — the South Dakota-based fossil company that excavated Stan in 1992 and later reassembled its skeleton. The most noticeable similarity between the two skeletons is a large hole in the lower left jaws, which was unique to Stan, BHIGR(opens in new tab) president Peter Larson told the New York times. Despite selling Stan in 2020, BHIGR retained the intellectual property of the famous skeleton and has been using the copyright to create and sell painted polyurethane casts of the skeleton, which are currently priced at up to $120,000 each. (One of these casts was sold to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, which sparked speculation that the movie megastar was the mysterious buyer of Stan back in 2020.) After realizing that the company's copyright was possibly being infringed, BHIGR's lawyers contacted Christie's to see what was going on. "They're using Stan to sell a dinosaur that's not Stan," Larson told the New York Times before the auction was called off. "It's very misleading." The legal inquiry also raised another important question about the Shen skeleton — how many of the bones are actually original? Related: T. rex could have been 70% bigger than fossils suggest, new study shows Almost all dinosaur skeletons that come up for auction or are displayed in museums include at least some replica bones to complete the set. For example, the Stan skeleton contains 190 original bones — half the 380 bones that scientists believe make up a T. rex skeleton. Christie's claimed that the Shen skeleton had a "bone density" of 54%, but this did little to quell scrutiny surrounding the bones because bone density is not a scientific term, according to The New York Times. Eventually, Christie's changed the listing of Shen to reveal that only 79 of the bones were originals, and noted that a large number of replica bones had been based on Stan. But after continued pressure, the auction house has now called off the sale entirely. "Christie’s did the right thing" in the end, Larson said. Shen has now been loaned to an unnamed museum for public display until the issue is resolved, according to The New York Times. LINK: https://www.livescience.com/shen-t-rex-auction-called-off

Good thing we have dataloggers to prove it. We knew the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 would be special. But even living with a "regular" C8 Corvette for a year and a little over 40,000 miles didn't adequately prepare us for how special. We learned that after spending a day at Grattan Raceway and testing both a convertible Z06 and a coupe Z06 equipped with the Z07 package for this video. What's it like driving a Z06 on track? As it turns out, you spend quite a bit of time with your mouth hanging open as that 5.5-liter V-8 spins toward 8600 rpm, making 670 horsepower and that intoxicating flat-plane-crank howl. It's a good thing the car handles so well, too, because you want to get back to the front straight quickly if only so you can hear it again and again. We tested both a convertible Z06 and a coupe equipped with the high-performance Z07 package. You've likely already read those test results. If you haven't, go click the related links below. We’ll wait. This video shows the differences between the two vehicles, though scheduling conflicts and limited access to the coupe prevented us from filming that car on track. We also provide added explanation as to why we couldn't match Chevy's skidpad lateral-g claim on our skidpad. That answer involves diving into the owner's manual, which actually has instructions on how owners can prepare their Z06s for tracks like Virginia International Raceway and the Nürburgring, going as far as to recommend different tire pressure and aerodynamic configurations. Like we said: Hard to believe. LINK" https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a42044590/video-2023-chevrolet-corvette-z06-features/

By James Waterhouse BBC Ukraine correspondent, Kherson region There is a business-like synchronisation to Andrii's Kysenko's team as they work on a downed electricity cable in the rural Kherson region. With a crater only a few metres from the pylon, they're confident a shell was the culprit. Two months ago, this 100km (62-mile) long powerline cut through the boundary of Russia's occupation. Since Russian forces retreated about two weeks ago, a typically once in a five-year repair job has become a daily ritual for these engineers. "Before, work like this was only necessary after extreme weather," explains Mr Kysenko. "Now it's like we're rebuilding the whole cable network from scratch." They work for Ukraine's biggest energy company DTEK and have so far repaired 50km of this line. They expect the second half to be more difficult as they near the Dnipro River, where there is increased shelling. As far as work environments go, they don't get much more challenging - not least with the flak jackets they all must wear. Yet his team methodically clamp the cable back together and hoist it into place. As the powerline stretches into the misty horizon, it seems like an endless treadmill of work. "When it all began, the first days were challenging," the engineer says. "There would be constant shelling and torn cables. "But we got used to it, and we have to hope things will get better." As the Kherson region continues to be liberated, the demand on Ukraine's strained energy grid rises too. It's why the authorities are urging people to leave the region, but for many, that is easier said than done. The villages close to the pylons have spent eight months without water or power. The roads are dotted with shell craters. Distant artillery reminds you the fighting has only moved, not disappeared. We meet 90-year-old Anton Kramar, whose windows are boarded up after they were smashed by shrapnel, which injured his wife. They've lived here for 50 years and have seen three wars. "It's very hard," he says. "People bring candles, but they don't last long." Some humanitarian aid has reached their village. Mr Kramar says he was promised wood and an oven, but they haven't arrived. "If we get no oven, then we'll have to go cut the trees ourselves and carry the wood on our shoulders. "I've worked my entire life but have nothing." In his flat, Bohdan Dzepchuk shows us his small gas stove which is his only source of heat. He still uses it to cook meals for his neighbours who don't have one. "Maybe I should go to Kyiv and ask for help there!" he suggests. "This is madness." He only uses half of his flat because the windows are smashed in the other rooms. The cold air is biting as you peer into his living room. Then for Mr Dzepchuk, it becomes too much. "This is no way to live. It's madness." He says tearfully. "I don't know what to do. "I've never cried like this in my life. Now I'm an old man." Kyiv has accused Russia of "crimes against humanity" after their latest missile strikes. Moscow's new tactic of targeting infrastructure has left Ukraine a darker country. That's not to say Ukrainians' sense of resolve has been weakened necessarily, but more are suffering. Moscow's claims of only targeting military sites are falling on deaf ears in this part of Kherson. November 25 will feature Wales vs Iran, Qatar vs Senegal, the Netherlands vs Ecuador, England vs USA. Rabat - The 2022 World Cup is approaching the end of its first week of matches, adding pressure to the players as a win could put them one step closer to qualification for the round of 16. Wales and Iran’s match will take place at 11:00 Moroccan time on November 25 at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium in Doha, Qatar, as part of Group B’s matches. According to data from Opta Analyst, Wales has a 49.4% chance to win, while Iran has a 23.2% chance. Iran lost against England 6-2 on Monday, while the Welsh side ended their game in a 1-1 draw against the US. Based on the performance of both teams earlier this week, there is a high chance for Wales to win, although Iran will be eager to recover after their thrashing from the UK. Qatar vs Senegal Qatar faces Senegal in Group A; the match will take place at 14:00 Moroccan time on November 25 at Al Thumama Stadium in Doha, Qatar. Senegal are the favorites to win, with Opta Analyst writing: “The draw is given a 24% chance, with the likelihood of a Qatar win only 16.9%.” After losing their first games, both Senegal and Qatar will be under a lot of pressure to win in order to stay in the competition. Both teams cannot afford another loss since they already have risked their chances to advance to the round of 16. Qatar faced a 2-0 loss against Ecuador in the opening game of the competition. The Middle Eastern team lacked confidence throughout the game, coming out of it as the first host nation to ever lose the opening game. Hopes are pinned on a better outcome against Senegal. Sports outlet Sports Tiger says that a strong Senegal team is expected to beat the inexperienced Qatar team. The Netherlands vs Ecuador The Netherlands and Ecuador are going head to head for the first time as part of Group A on November 25 at 17:00 Moroccan time. The match will take place at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha, Qatar. Opta Analyst wrote that the Dutch team are the favorites to win with a 54.1% chance of beating their opponent Ecuador which has a significantly lower percentage of 20.8%, leaving the possibility of a draw at 25.1%. A win in this match would allow the Netherlands to be a step closer to the knockout stages. England vs USA Following a comfortable victory in their opening World Cup match, England will face the USA at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor in Doha, Qatar on November 25 at 20:00 Moroccan time. Both teams belong to Group B. Twelve years have gone by since these two countries last faced off on the international scene, and despite the fact that England's most recent matchup with the US ended in a scoreless draw, Southgate and co enter Friday's matchup in good spirits and as heavy favorites to win the three points. Motorola's rumoured latest lower-end smartphone which could be called the Motorola Penang has been tipped through the latest image leak by tipster Evan Blass. The image showcases the smartphone sporting a case that features flat sides and rounded corners. The image also suggests that the Motorola Penang may feature a flat back with two cutouts on the top left to house a dual rear camera setup. Meanwhile, the front display features a centre-aligned hole-punch cutout, a notably thick bezel, and a thick chin. The images leaked by tipster Evan Blass in collaboration with GadgetGang also suggest the smartphone bears the same root codename as the Penang 4G and Penang Plus devices. However, Blass says that this does not necessarily mean that the Motorola Penang smartphone will feature in the same lineup. The Motorola Penang smartphone is said to feature 4GB of RAM while the handset could be launched by Motorola in 64GB and 128GB storage configurations. The North American variant of the Motorola Penang 5G, which is said to have the model number XT-2313, could be made available on Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile, as well as Cricket, Dish, and Tracfone, the tipster claims. Meanwhile, Motorola is likely to launch its upcoming Moto X40 handset in China soon. The smartphone maker has already begun teasing the arrival of the successor to the Moto X30 in the region. Its next flagship phone is confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which was unveiled earlier this month. The exact launch date of the device is yet to be announced, but the Moto X40 will be among the first smartphones to feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which is claimed to offer a 25 percent improvement in performance, and up to 45 percent better power efficiency, according to Qualcomm. MINISFORUM unveiled its brand new NAG 6 'Neptune' High-End Mini PC which combines Intel's 12th Gen CPUs with AMD Radeon RX 6000 GPUs. MINISFORUM's First Intel 12th Gen CPU-Powered High-End Mini PC Revealed, The NAG 6 'Neptune' Until now, MINISFORUM really didn't have a high-end gaming option available under its Mini PC portfolio which features an Intel 12th Gen CPU. The company has several gaming-oriented AMD PCs such as the EliteMini HX99/HX90 and the EliteMini B550 plus the UM690/590 are also highly capable options that feature Radeon iGPUs that excel over anything that Intel's integrated GPUs have to offer. But it looks like MINISFORUM does has plans to launch a new high-end option that will be known as the NAG 6 and fall under the Neptune series. MINISFORUM NAG 6 'Neptune' Mini PC With Intel 12th Gen CPUs (Image Credits: PC-Watch): Currently, the Neptune series features two products, the HX90G and the HX99G. These feature up to an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX APU and the Radeon RX 6600M discrete GPU. The AMD option comes in a 2.9 Liter chassis with active cooling but the NAG 6 'Neptune' is going to go even smaller with a 2.7 Liter chassis. From the latest presentation held in Japan, the company showcased a brand new Mini PC design for the NAG 6 which has a large mesh panel on each side and vents on the top to blow hot air outwards. Coming to the specifications, the MINISFORUM NAG 6 'Neptune' is said to feature an Intel Core i9-12900H CPU with 14 cores, 20 threads, and a maximum boost clock of 5.0 GHz. That's more cores and clocks than anything the AMD Mini PCs have on offer. For the GPU side, the PC will feature the same AMD Radeon RX 6600M GPU and it is surprising that MINISFORUM isn't using any Intel Arc or NVIDIA RTX mobility GPUs on this machine. The PC will additionally come with 32 GB of DDR5 ram, 512 GB SSD storage, a 2.5G Ethernet LAN port, and a three-fan active cooling solution. You can run up to 4 individual 4K displays out of this mini monster. There's two HDMI, two USB Type-C (MiniDP), four USB 3.2 outlets on the back, and a USB Type-C + Type-A combo plus Audio jacks on the front. The pricing of the MINISFORUM NAG 6 'Neptune' is suggested around 158,900 Yen or $1120 US and the Mini PC should launch around February 2023. We asked MINISFORUM for an update on this & were told that the specifications and prices are preliminary at the moment and the actual release product might change. The company also intends to launch a new Mini 12th Gen PC before NAG 6. And while we are on the top of Mini PCs, MINISFORUM currently has a Black Friday sale going on over at their webpage over here where you can avail up to 60% off on their unique list of PCs with Intel and AMD CPUs. NUCX17 (i7-11800H + RTX 3070 Barebone) - $1029 US ($160 US Off) UM690 (6900HX + Radeon 680M Barebone) - $499 US ($100 US Off) UM590 (5900HX + Radeon Vega Barebone) - $429 US ($100 US Off) HX90G (5900HX + Radeon 6600M Barebone) - $809 US ($120 US Off) B550EM (5700G Barebone Kit) = $579 US ($80 US Off) The Neptune HX90G is currently going for $799 US while the UM690 which is a whole lot faster than the Steam Deck can be found for just $499 US. Your actions and decisions will have consequences for those you share it with too. Here's what we know about Diablo 4 so far, including a look at gameplay, concept art and more. As we near launch, there will be more and more news being released. This page will be updated each time, so that you can stay in the loop with all thing Diablo 4. Diablo 4: Cut to the chase What is it? The next installment in the beloved RPG series When can I play it? 2023 (exact date TBC) What can I play it on? Xbox One, PS4, PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S During the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase in 2022, Blizzard confirmed Diablo 4 will launch in 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Since its announcement in 2019, Blizzard had been coy on providing a release window. At a Blizzcon 2019 deep dive on the game, the game's director said that he doesn't expect the game to be finished anytime soon, "even by Blizzard's standards of soon." Fast-forward to the end of 2021, we then learned about an indefinite delay. During Activision Blizzard's Q3 earnings call(opens in new tab) in November 2021, it made the following statement: "While we are still planning to deliver a substantial amount of content from Blizzard next year, we are now planning for a later launch for Overwatch 2 and Diablo IV than originally envisaged". So, while we don't know when exactly Diablo 4 will launch in 2023, at least we now have a release window in sight. DIABLO 4: TRAILERS Xbox and Bethesda Showcase 2022 The latest glimpse at Diablo 4 came during the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase in 2022. The 2016 indie game is a supernatural story about teens who encounter paranormal events on an island. Netflix has quietly been building its gaming section, and Oxenfree--a game centered around teenagers who accidentally open up a ghostly portal-- is the latest title to join the lineup. Oxenfree is a 2016 game by Night School Studio and its sequel Oxenfree II: Lost Signals is set to release sometime in 2022. In GameSpot's Oxenfree review, reviewer Alexa Ray Corriea praised the game for its unpredictable narrative and meaningful impact of different character choices. "Oxenfree is more than a ghost story with a Freaks and Geeks-like coating," Corriea said. "It's a tale of coping with loss, broken relationships, and the inflexibility with which teenagers deal with sudden change, all layered under an alarming paranormal encounter." Night School Studio is owned by Netflix now, so it's unsurprising the game is arriving on the app. Ostensibly, Oxenfree II will also be arriving in the service at some point in the future as well. Netflix's gaming section mostly offers mobile titles and boasts great titles like Into the Breach and Poinpy. Spiritfarer is another game getting added to Netflix soon, and so far, the selection of titles makes Netflix a worthy adversary of competitors like Apple Arcade. The products discussed here were independently chosen by our editors. GameSpot may get a share of the revenue if you buy anything featured on our site. link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/this-budget-friendly-gaming-chair-is-only-99-for-black-friday/1100-6509382/

Don't you wish there was a decent cop around here? Something is rotten in the state of Revachol. This year has seen the gradual unfurling of a bitterly ironic real-world tale, one in which the creators of perhaps the best PC game ever(opens in new tab) have been cut out of the company(opens in new tab) they co-founded, Disco Elysium studio ZA/UM, and are now fighting for it in the courts. How did it get to this point? According to one side, the answer is simple: four concept sketches of a man in a scarf, the first glimpses of a Disco Elysium sequel, which were allegedly bought last year for just over €1 by a shell company controlled by a ZA/UM executive, and then immediately re-sold to ZA/UM for €4.8 million. The first set of players in this fight includes Robert Kurvitz and Aleksander Rostov, the key creatives behind Disco Elysium, and Kaur Kender, who acted as executive producer and marketing manager on the game. All are partners in Studio ZA/UM. On the other side are Ilmar Kompus, the director and largest shareholder of Studio ZA/UM, and Tõnis Haavel. The Estonian Ekspress newspaper(opens in new tab) describes Haavel as a "smooth-talking ex-banker who was convicted of investment fraud in 2015 and received a seven-month suspended prison sentence." He was also an executive producer on Disco Elysium. The allegations around Disco Elysium and ZA/UM come from a hearing held in Harju County Court in October, Estonia's largest county court. At this time, there are claims and counter-claims, but none of it has been settled. The Estonian Ekspress reports(opens in new tab) that the problems began when Margus Linnamäe, who largely financed Disco Elysium and was ZA/UM's largest shareholder, decided to sell his stake in 2021. There was an expectation that Linnamäe would split his shareholding among the partners, but he allegedly sold it all to Kompus. Kurvitz and Rostov did not know about this at the time. Their suspicions were raised when they were apparently demoted internally and, after checking the Estonian registration of companies, realised that control of ZA/UM now belonged to Kompus. The pair allegedly began demanding answers, shortly after which they were sacked. Both still own minor shareholdings in ZA/UM. At the hearing, Kurvitz and Rostov argued that Kompus had used money that should have gone to the studio and shareholders, and funded Disco Elysium's sequel, in order to buy those $4.8 million sketches. This was the alleged sleight-of-hand. The shell company Tütreke, controlled by Kompus, somehow acquired these four sketches (described as being for a game called Pioneer One), and allegedly paid exactly one pound sterling for them before re-selling to ZA/UM for €4.8 million. This amount is what was apparently used to buy Linnamäe's large stake, and put it in the hands of Kompus. Kompus allegedly hoped that ZA/UM and Disco Elysium could be resold quickly. The hearing heard that suitors including Microsoft and Tencent were tempted, while Amazon studios was interested in making a TV series set in the world. But there remained a problem: Robert Kurvitz is the creator of Disco Elysium, still owns a piece of it, and has the right to block any acquisition. Those IP rights overall are however held by a ZA/UM UK subsidiary, the head of ZA/UM UK being Ilmar Kompus (he owns a fifth of this company). By this stage, the Disco Elysium executive producer, Kender, had also begun to ask difficult questions, so Kompus allegedly dealt with him by putting him on leave and then firing him. It is Kender who sent this into legal overdrive, claiming in court that Kompus cheated him out of just under €1,000,000. He argued to the court that it should seize Kompus's stake in ZA/UM to prevent its sale during any ongoing action and the money disappearing overseas. The court agreed, and has done so. Kender's lawsuit also targets Tõnis Haavel, alleging that Kompus was acting under his direction. To cut to the chase, ZA/UM UK owns a subsidiary company called Yessirnosir Ltd, which is the holder of the IP rights to Disco Elysium, and this company was believed to be owned by Kompus. In fact, the director is Anu Reiman, who also owns "over 75%" of it(opens in new tab), and is the partner of one Tõnis Haavel. Kender claims Haavel's role is being kept secret because Haavel is bankrupt to the tune of an astonishing €11.2 million, which is because he's liable to pay compensation due to an infamous scandal called the Baku land affair: an investment bubble promising to buy up land in Azerbaijan where all the money vanished. This is the source of Haavel's 2015 conviction. Ilmar Kompus denied there was any lawsuit against him to the Estonian Ekspress. The paper then sent him the legal documents. He looked at them and did not respond further. Haavel told the Ekspress that the allegations are "completely absurd" and he wouldn't comment on any order he hadn't seen. Again he was sent the order, and again he went quiet. This is the financial side of the battle for Disco Elysium's soul, but it may get even more serious. Kurvitz and Rostov believe that ZA/UM's new owners should face criminal charges. On November 9, Studio ZA/UM provided PC Gamer with a statement(opens in new tab) elaborating on its reasons for firing Kurvitz and Rostov. According to this, Kurvitz and Rostov showed "limited to no engagement in their responsibility and work" including "not working at all for almost two years." The company also accuses the pair of "verbal abuse," "gender discrimination," and "attempts to illegally sell" ZA/UM intellectual property "with the aim of undermining the rest of the team." The statement goes on to say that ZA/UM "denies any claim of financial malfeasance or fraud" and that "the vast majority of profits from Disco Elysium have been invested back into the studio" to fund new projects. The next development will be a general meeting of Studio ZA/UM where, amazingly enough, small shareholders (such as Kurvitz and Rostov) will vote on whether the studio should file its own lawsuit against Kompus. Kompus will not be allowed to participate in the vote. To summarise: Disco Elysium's key creatives owned minority shareholdings in ZA/UM but, while they focused on things like creating games, the company's largest shareholding was allegedly bought-out through a piece of financial chicanery whereby the studio itself paid for the shareholding on behalf of one individual. The goal wasn't necessarily to squeeze the creatives out, but they say that they were fired not because of professional misconduct, but because they noticed what had happened. The alleged aim was to use Disco Elysium's success to sell the rights to a tech giant for tens of millions, and get rich quick before those anarcho-commie designers even noticed what happened. So Kompus and Haavel want to sell the rights but, because Kurvitz can block any deal, they won't be able to—as things stand, anyway. Equally, Kurvitz, who spent upwards of two decades creating this incredibly rich setting, will no longer be able to work with it again because the rights reside with ZA/UM UK. What a mess. It should be borne in mind that, while the court may have taken action in terms of seizing Kompus's shareholding, it has not yet made any findings either way. The accusations against various parties remain just that, for now, and no doubt there will be further twists and turns in the battle over Disco Elysium's future. The worrying aspect being that, if this doesn't get sorted out definitively, it may not have one. link: https://www.pcgamer.com/the-legal-war-over-disco-elysium-reaches-disco-elysium-levels-of-complexity/
