  2. Looks like you’ll be able to toggle Cyberpunk 2077’s settings to get the kind of performance you want – well, on PS4 Pro and PlayStation 5 anyway. A leaked screenshot shared on Reddit from the Xbox Series X version of the game shows Performance and Quality options, which are fairly standard toggles on console games these days. While the images are clearly from a build running on Microsoft’s machine, we’d be flabbergasted if the settings weren’t also present on Sony’s systems. In the menu, the game explains: “Choose between performance and image quality. In performance mode, framerate will be prioritised at the expense of image quality. In quality mode, framerate will be capped at a lower value to prioritise image quality.” The way the description is worded suggests Performance mode may target 60 frames-per-second, but we’ll need to wait for further confirmation on that front. The person who shared the screenshot had the following insight to share: “I prefer Performance mode. The game runs at 60 frames-per-second with occasional dips (again pre-Day 1 patch). Resolution takes a hit but overall image quality doesn't suffer enough to justify playing this game at 30 frames-per-second in my opinion.” It’s worth remembering that, if you play on PS5, depending on how the game’s been designed, you should get the max possible settings across the board.

  4. Shares of Li Auto Inc. sank Friday, putting them on track for a seventh-straight decline, after the China-based electric vehicle maker’s public share offering priced at a discount of more than 10%. The company said the 47 million share secondary offering of its U.S.-listed stock, which it disclosed before Wednesday’s open, had priced at $29.00 per American depositary share (ADS). That was 10.3% below Thursday’s stock closing price of $32.31. The stock LI, -5.50% slid 5.2% in afternoon trading. It has now plunged 30.3% amid a seven-day losing streak, which started after the stock closed at a record $43.96 on Nov. 24. That would be the longest losing streak since the stock went public on July 30. Li Auto raised $1.36 billion from the share offering, and could raise about another $204.5 million if the underwriters exercise all of the options to buy additional shares, granted to cover overallotments. The company plans to use the proceeds for research and development of next-generation electric vehicle technologies, including ultrafast charging, future car models, autonomous driving technologies and general corporate purposes. In the two days since the offering was announced, the stock fell 7.3%. If the offering had priced at a 10.3% discount to the Dec. 1 closing price of $34.86, the 47 million ADS offering could have raised $1.47 billion. Among other China-based EV makers, shares of Nio Inc. NIO, -5.09% dropped 5.0% in afternoon trading Friday, and has shed 20.2% so far this week. XPeng Inc.’s stock XPEV, -4.78% declined 5.0% Friday and has tumbled 23.4% week to date. Also read: XPeng downgraded at UBS, as stock has run up too much to keep buying. The pullback in the stocks Friday comes as the iShares MSCI China exchange-traded fund MCHI, +0.05% has slipped 2.2% this week and the S&P 500 index SPX, +0.88% tacked 1.5%. Elsewhere, shares of Kandi Technologies Group Inc. KNDI, -0.86% eased 0.4% in afternoon trading, and has plummeted 41.0% this week; Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd. GELYY, +3.42% gained 3.4% Friday and BYD Co. BYDDY, +2.70% tacked on 2.5%.
  5. VATICAN CITY — The ministry of a Catholic bishop must reflect the Catholic Church's commitment to Christian unity and must give ecumenical engagement the same kind of attention as work for justice and peace, said a new Vatican document. "The bishop cannot consider the promotion of the ecumenical cause as one more task in his varied ministry, one that could and should be deferred in view of other, apparently more important priorities," said the document, "The Bishop and Christian Unity: An Ecumenical Vademecum." Prepared by the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, the 52-page document was released Dec. 4 after its publication was approved by Pope Francis. The text reminds each Catholic bishop of his personal responsibility as a minister of unity, not only among the Catholics of his diocese, but also with other Christians. As a "vademecum," or guidebook, it provides lists of practical steps the bishop can and should take to fulfill that responsibility in every aspect of his ministry, from inviting other Christian leaders to important diocesan celebrations to highlighting ecumenical activities on the diocesan website. And, as the chief teacher in his diocese, he must ensure that the content of conferences, religious education programs and homilies at the diocesan and parish level promote Christian unity and accurately reflect the teachings of the church's partners in dialogue. Demonstrating the importance of the document, the online news conference to present it featured not one, but four top Vatican officials: Cardinals Kurt Koch, president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity; Marc Ouellet, prefect of the Congregation for Bishops; Luis Antonio Tagle, prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples; and Leonardo Sandri, prefect of the Congregation for Eastern Churches. With its explanations and its concrete suggestions, Ouellet said, the booklet provides the tools for realizing "the ecumenical conversion of bishops and every disciple of Christ who wishes to better incarnate the joy of the Gospel in our time." Tagle said the vademecum reminds bishops in missionary lands that they must not import Christian divisions to new parts of the world and asks Catholics to understand just how much the divisions within Christianity turn off people who "are looking for meaning in life, for salvation." "The non-Christians are scandalized, really scandalized, when we Christians claim to be followers of Christ and then they see how we are fighting one another," he said. But ecumenism is not seeking a truce or "compromise as if unity should be achieved at the expense of truth," the document explained. Catholic doctrine insists there is a "hierarchy of truths," a prioritizing of essential beliefs based "on their relation to the saving mysteries of the Trinity and salvation in Christ, the source of all Christian doctrines." In conversations with other Christians, the document said, "by weighing truths rather than simply enumerating them, Catholics gain a more accurate understanding of the unity that exists among Christians." That unity, based first on baptism into Christ and his church, is the foundation on which Christian unity is built step by step, the document said. The steps include: common prayer; joint action to alleviate suffering and promote justice; theological dialogue to clarify commonalities and differences; and a willingness to recognize the way God has worked in another community and to learn from it. The document also treated the question of sharing the Eucharist, an issue that has long been a thorny one in ecumenical dialogue as well as within the Catholic Church itself, as demonstrated by recent Vatican efforts to caution the bishops of Germany about issuing broad invitations for Lutherans married to Catholics to receive Communion. Catholics cannot share the Eucharist with other Christians just to be "polite," but there are pastoral situations in which individual bishops may decide when "exceptional sacramental sharing is appropriate," the document said. When discerning possibilities for sharing the sacraments, it said, bishops must keep two principles in mind at all times, even when those principles create tension: a sacrament, especially the Eucharist, is a "witness to the unity of the church," and a sacrament is a "sharing of the means of grace." So, it said, "in general, participation in the sacraments of the Eucharist, reconciliation and anointing is limited to those in full communion." However, the document noted, the Vatican's 1993 "Directory for the Application of Principles and Norms of Ecumenism" also stated that "by way of exception, and under certain conditions, access to these sacraments may be permitted, or even commended, for Christians of other churches and ecclesial communities." Communicatio in sacris' (sharing in sacramental life) is therefore permitted for the care of souls within certain circumstances," the text said, "and when this is the case it is to be recognized as both desirable and commendable." Koch, responding to a question, said the relationship between the sacraments and the full unity of the churches is the "basic" principle, meaning that in most cases eucharistic sharing will not be possible until the churches are fully united. The Catholic Church, he said, does not see the sharing of the sacraments as "a step on the way," as some Christian communities do. However, "for one person, a single person, there can be an opportunity for sharing this grace in different cases" as long as the person meets the requirement of canon law, which says a non-Catholic must request the Eucharist of his or her own accord, "manifest Catholic faith" in the sacrament and be "properly disposed." The Catholic Church recognizes the full validity of the Eucharist celebrated by the Orthodox Church and, with many fewer restrictions, allows Orthodox Christians to request and receive the sacraments from a Catholic minister. Sandri, speaking at the news conference, said the document "is a further affirmation that it is no longer legitimate for us to be ignorant of the Christian East, nor can we pretend to have forgotten the brothers and sisters of those venerable churches that, together with us, constitute the family of believers in the God of Jesus Christ."
  6. EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks with a hamstring injury. Veteran Colt McCoy is expected to start in his place. Jones, who left last week's win over Cincinnati, practiced Friday for the first time since the injury. He was listed as a limited participant in Friday's workout but stood and watched while the first-team offense worked during the portion of practice open to the media. McCoy, 34, has started only seven games in the past nine years and hasn't won a start since the 2014 season. He went 6-of-10 passing for 31 yards in place of Jones against the Bengals. The Giants (4-7) have been preparing throughout the week as if McCoy would be the starter. They're looking to remain in first place in the NFC East and have maintained that their offense won't change much if McCoy plays in place of Jones. "I don't know that it's scale back or cut down. There's nothing mentally or physically that Colt is not capable of doing. I wouldn't look at it that way," offensive coordinator Jason Garrett said. "You're always trying to create an environment where your players are comfortable with what they're doing. There's a lot of plays in football. Let's run the ones that our quarterback likes to run and they're comfortable running. Let's run the ones that our linemen are good at, our runners are good at. The things our tight ends and our receivers do best. You're always trying to do that regardless of who's playing. Regardless of how many snaps they've played. You're probably a little bit more sensitive to that with a backup quarterback who hasn't had the backlog of reps that the other guys have had. I just think you're trying to customize it. I don't think you're cutting it down in any way." But the Giants have at least left the door open for Jones to play should anything change over the weekend. The plan is for him to fly with the team on Saturday to Seattle. Coach Joe Judge wants to see how his quarterback feels on Saturday before making the final decision. "We'll see how he does in practice [Friday] and after our flight," Judge said earlier Friday. After Jones injured his hamstring against the Bengals, he tried to return to the game but lasted only two plays. He couldn't plant and throw -- never mind run -- well enough to function efficiently. It was always a long shot that Jones would be ready to play this week. After an MRI revealed a strained hamstring, a source told ESPN that Jones was likely to miss time. And while it still seems likely he'll miss the game, there is an outside chance Jones will play Sunday in Seattle after he made surprising progress throughout the week. The saving grace with Jones is that he's considered tough, a term Judge has used on multiple occasions to describe his quarterback. At Duke, Jones had surgery on a broken clavicle, was back at practice nine days later and played three weeks after the injury. With the Giants, it looks like he will at least be able to make it back from what appeared to be a bad hamstring injury for next week's matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Jones worked inside with trainers on Wednesday while his teammates practiced. He was outside working with trainers on Thursday. At one point, he was dropping back and throwing passes while Judge stood behind him and observed closely for an extended stretch. "I thought he threw the ball well," Judge said of the Thursday throwing session. "Obviously, we didn't want to go ahead and open him up too much, really being just a couple of days into kind of moving around. But he threw the ball well. I saw a lot of good velocity and very good accuracy. "We talked in terms of how he felt on different things, different movements. But look, I think this guy is doing everything he can to get on the field." Jones said earlier this week he was "feeling good" and that he was taking it all day by day. He was going through his preparation as if it were business as usual. "Certainly preparing the way I always do to play and making sure that while I'm not in practice, still getting those reps and making sure I understand what exactly we're doing and prepare myself to play," Jones said on Wednesday. "That's certainly my approach this week as it would be any." Jones was the sixth overall pick in last year's draft. He has completed 63.2% of his passes this season for 2,332 yards with eight touchdowns and nine interceptions. But he was playing perhaps the best football of his young career before the injury. Jones had gone three straight games without a turnover.
  7. Serbia’s BIA intelligence agency has been listed among likely users of controversial software that enable it to locate every phone in the country in seconds – in a report issued by Citizen Lab, a specialist in surveillance issues. In research published on Monday, Citizen Lab, an Institute of the University of Toronto that specializes in surveillance issues, listed 25 countries and agencies – including Serbia’s Security Information Agency – that use the software of the Israeli company Circles, which enables the user to locate every phone in the country in seconds. Founded in 2008, Circles reportedly exploits weaknesses in the global mobile phone system to snoop on calls, texts, and the locations of phones around the globe. Circles is a part of NSO Group, an iPhone and Android spyware developer that is being sued by Facebook over attacks on the accounts of 1,400 WhatsApp users. It has also been criticized for selling its services to governments that use it to spy on activists, journalists and other citizens, according to Forbes. Circles, whose products work without hacking the phone itself, says it sells only to nation-states, but Citizen Lab’s research, based on leaked documents, shows that clients can purchase a system that they connect to their local telecommunications companies’ infrastructure, or they can use a separate system called the “Circles Cloud,” which interconnects with telecommunications companies around the world. According to Citizen Lab, likely Circles customers include governments in Australia, Belgium, Botswana, Chile, Denmark, Ecuador, El Salvador, Estonia, Equatorial Guinea, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Israel, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Nigeria, Peru, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Bill Marczak, from the University of California in Berkley, a senior research fellow at Citizen Lab, said the investigation should raise awareness on the wider issues. “We hope this report enables people to ask more precise questions and perhaps even improve the regulation of the field, which today operates as if it were the Wild West,” Marczak told Calcalyst. But an NSO spokesperson told Forbes in the name of both NSO and Circles that they operate with “a commitment to ethical business and adhere to strict laws and regulations in every market in which they operate”. “We cannot comment on a report we have not seen. Given Citizen Lab’s track record, we imagine this will once again be based on inaccurate assumptions and without a full command of the facts. As ever, we find ourselves being asked to comment on an unpublished report from an organization with a predetermined agenda,” the spokesperson said. The technique used by the Circles tech is known as Signaling System 7 (SS7) exploitation. A SS7 is a protocol suite developed in 1975 for exchanging information and routing phone calls between different wireline telecommunications companies, the Citizen Lab report says. In its research, the Toronto-based laboratory notes that whileabuse of the global telephone system for tracking and monitoring is believed to be widespread, it is difficult to investigate. When a device is tracked or messages are intercepted, there are not always traces on the target’s device, the report warns.
  8. Several motherboard makers have started adding support for AMD's Smart Access Memory tech on Radeon RX 6800 XT & RX 6800 graphics cards to the Intel-based 400-series motherboards. ASUS and MSI are the first to allow support for SAM with ASRock and Gigabyte quickly working on getting their own support out too. Japanese outlet, ASCII, has posted the first benchmarks of how well the feature performs on the Intel platform, showing a noticeable performance improvement. AMD Smart Access Memory Tested & Benchmarked on Intel 400-Series (Z490) Motherboard With Radeon RX 6800 XT, Shows Up To 16% Gains In Performance AMD's Smart Access Memory technology which is a fancy name for BAR (Base Address Register) will not require users to invest in a PCIe Gen 4 platform as it will be supported by PCIe Gen 3 too. Based on what we know so far, BAR essentially defines how much discrete GPU memory space can be mapped and today's PCs are typically limited to 256 MB of mapped memory. AMD claims that with SAM (Smart Access Memory), they can access all of the GPU memory, removing bottlenecks to allow for faster performance.AMD officially only mentioned that SAM (Smart Access Memory) would be supported by its Ryzen 5000 CPUs and the respective 500-series chipset based motherboards. However, board makers not only enabled support on AMD's 400-series motherboards but are also adding support to Intel's 400 series motherboards such as the Z490 variant tested here. The platform used for testing included the ASUS ROG Maximus XII Extreme motherboard which was running the latest 1002 BIOS which adds support for AMD SAM (Smart Access Memory) on it. The Intel Core i9-10900K CPU was used along with the Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card to see if the feature could be enabled and any performance gains can be seen on an Intel platform with the feature enabled. To enable the feature, you have to access the BIOS and navigate to the 'Advanced' page. The feature is set to Disabled by default but has to be set to Auto to get it to a working state. After booting in the PC and opening the graphics card in the device manager, you can see that the GPU appears with a 'Large Memory Range' as indicated by its range address of '0000004000000000 to 00000043FFFFFFFF'. Unfortunately, MSI has to remove the press release since it also listed down the unreleased Intel Rocket Lake CPU, presumably the Core i9-11900K. The CPU was shown running at a base clock of 3.40 GHz and a boost clock of 4.3 GHz which definitely aren't final clock speeds. Other specs such as 8 cores, 16 threads, 16 MB of L3 cache, and a TDP of 125W were also spotted.
  9. Activision has detailed what it is pitching as "the largest free content drop in Black Ops history" as the publisher prepares for the launch of Season One inside Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. For that to happen though, the release has actually been pushed back by six days to 16th December 2020, but a series of Double XP weekends are primed and ready to tide you over until then. The Call of Duty blog post states a new map and mode are headed to Battle Royale title Call of Duty: Warzone, effectively confirming the previously leaked Rebirth Island location is indeed real. More than 30 base weapons from Black Ops Cold War will also be added to Warzone along with some Blueprint variants. Then there's a new Gulag experience too. On the Black Ops Cold War multiplayer side of things, Activision stops short of revealing exactly how many maps will be added with Season One, but Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 map Raid will be one of them. The 2v2 Gunfight mode is back with four new maps and one more Fireteam location will be added. For the few of you still playing that mode, we guess. "Make room on your Gunsmith table for free-to-acquire weapons and prepare for new Zombies modes, Season Challenges, and the full cross-title launch of the Seasonal Prestige system, with up to 1,000 Season Levels to progress through! It’s an unprecedented amount of free content and the teams are currently prepping for the biggest Season One launch week ever seen. For this to occur, we’re taking a few more days to finalize everything before unleashing this massive drop of new, free content to the community."

  12. BMW announced this week their plans to start a cloud-based data exchange platform that will not be using US or Chinese technology. The collaboration will include major industry and technology players from Germany. This was an expected move since traditional allies are seeing their interests divided recently, the pandemic showing European companies how dependent they are on both Chinese and American technologies. In this endeavor, BMW will be joining forces with Siemens AG and SAP SE to create a platform that’s similar to the offerings from Alibaba or Amazon’s Web Services. This cloud technology will enable German car makers and their suppliers to figure out potential bottlenecks in the production process or parts shortages. This way, they can prepare for the future, to avoid the outages they had to deal with this year as the coronavirus lockdown put a serious strain on the supply chain. This new system will be based on the European Gaia-X cloud service and will have help not just from the aforementioned partners but also from Deutsche Telekom, Robert Bosch Gmbh or even ZF Friedrichshafen. This way, European car makers will be in charge of their own data and be more protected in case of any future trade wars. Furthermore, sensitive information will now be stored on their own servers. The automotive alliance will “ensure value-added manufacturing and employment in Europe are secured,” German economy minister Peter Altmaier said in a statement for Bloomberg. This is definitely a good move for EU-based companies that have grown more and more depended on outsiders for their technology needs. What seemed like a sturdy collaboration in the past, especially with long-time allies USA, was proven to be far from perfect, especially over the last four years. While regrettable, this sort of approach will pay dividends on the long run.
  13. As Australia’s wealthy descend upon the coastal lifestyle hotspot of Byron Bay, helping house prices rise to record levels, the hunt is on to uncover the country’s next beachside gem. Buyers have begun spilling into areas north and south of Byron Bay, inundating real estate agents who report a shortage of stock and high demand for homes during the final few months of a year affected by economic uncertainty and the coronavirus pandemic. As Australia’s most easterly point, Byron Bay is famous for its beautiful beaches and rural backdrop, an idyllic haven on the far north coast of the New South Wales, 90 kilometers south of the Gold Coast in Queensland and 760 kilometers (472 miles)—or a short flight—north of Sydney. More: Billionaire Mike Cannon-Brookes Makes Latest Australian Property Buy In the past five years, it’s become a hive of activity for hipsters, the health-conscious and Hollywood heavyweights such as Chris Hemsworth and his wife, Elsa Pataky. A real estate darling, one of Byron Bay Shire’s most desirable suburbs, Bangalow was named as Australia’s best-performing regional center over the past two decades in a report released by the REA Group this month. The REA Insights Regional Australia Report 2020 found prices in Bangalow increased 1,281% from A$76,025 in 2000 to A$1.05 million (US$770,000) this year. The report also noted the move to remote-working since the pandemic reached Australian shores in the first week of March has accelerated interest in parts of regional Australia including NSW’s Northern Rivers, the area around Byron Bay where interest has pushed prices up almost 30% in the past three months, according to realestate.com.au figures. More: Buyers Seeking Greener Pastures Are Finding the Potential in Australia’s Untapped Markets REA chief economist Nerida Conisbee, who authored the report, said the movement out of capital cities has led to strong property market conditions in many regional areas around Australia. “Prior to Covid-19, fringe cities were benefiting from po[CENSORED]tion growth and affordability and that trend has continued to accelerate,” Ms. Conisbee said.“The biggest change occurring is the rising po[CENSORED]rity of areas that are not within commuting distance to a CBD [Central Business District]. Over the last 20 years, beachside areas have become more attractive, which has resulted in significant price growth.” The Next Byron Bay Agents working the NSW Northern Rivers region and neighboring Mid North Coast are benefiting from Byron Bay’s buoyancy, which they say has forced buyers to look for more affordable options and less in-demand locations. Sotheby’s International Realty agent Dominique Vasers-Williams said improved road infrastructure and more flights into the closest regional airport at Ballina, have improved accessibility and brought fresh buyers to the area immediately south of Byron Bay. “It’s transformed the travel time from Sydney and it’s become an option for people to get into this part of the world rather than somewhere more high prosuch as the Gold Coast,” she said. More: Australia’s Prestige Lifestyle Property Boom Two of her most recent listings have attracted extreme interest including a vacant block of oceanfront land at Ocean Street, Yamba, which has a price guide of A$2.75 million. The pre-auction sale of a luxury holiday home on Peninsula Street in Hastings Point set a record for the town, which is a 40-minute drive north of Byron Bay, when it sold for A$4.45 million in September. It last sold in 2006 for A$2.75 million. “Several of the potential buyers interested would historically and traditionally have looked at Byron Bay,” Ms. Vasers-Williams said. “There’s definitely a consideration around value for money and the po[CENSORED]tion has grown significantly [in Byron Bay] too. People who are coming out of the city are asking themselves why they would go from one busy hotspot to another. They want space, peace and quiet, they don’t want to battle crowds or get caught in traffic.” More: Returning Expats and Local Buyers Boost Sydney’s Super-Prime Market, Says Knight Frank Partner REA Group indicates the average number of views per listing on realestate.com.au for NSW properties is 1,591. In regional NSW the average number of views per listing is 963. Figures compiled for Mansion Global show the average number of views per property listing in Hastings Point and Yamba has increased 89% and 90% respectively compared to November 2019. “One of the strongest areas in Australia for property search and price growth is the coastal region of NSW from the Mid North Coast up to the Queensland border,” Ms.Conisbee said. “In regional Australia, the Mid North Coast has seen the third strongest price growth over the past three months. In regional NSW, only Coffs Harbour- Grafton has seen stronger price growth. More: A Guide to the Season's New Developments “People are definitely looking beyond Byron Bay and heading both north and south. Coffs Harbour-Grafton and Mid North Coast are seeing some of the strongest price growth in NSW at the moment.” Coastal Shift The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) released data in November that revealed a mass exodus of people moved out of Australia’s two biggest capital cities, Melbourne and Sydney, in the June quarter, with regional areas the greatest beneficiaries of this trend. The one-way traffic away from city areas correlates with property figures from CoreLogic, which shows property prices across Australia’s capital cities dropped 2.3% between March and October. In contrast, there has been a 1.7% spike in values across regional areas during the pandemic, with regional NSW surging 3.3%. Anecdotally, Ms. Vaser-Williams confirmed the trend is well and truly underway. More: Bondi Beach, One of Sydney’s Most Desirable Areas, Is Not Just for Tourists “The interest is definitely coming from Sydney and Melbourne from people looking to relocate,” she said. “Relocation is the common story. It’s almost clichéd, even though people knew prior to Covid they could work from home, people are telling me on a daily basis now they don’t need to be in a city.” Areas once known more as getaway and holiday locations have become permanent homes, with smaller apartments being kept in Sydney for visits back to see family and friends. More: Developers Globally Are Delaying Projects and Rethinking Design Following Coronavirus “People are thinking very much with their hearts not their heads at the moment, there’s a lack of stock and a sense of urgency to jump in and get in. That’s what’s happening,” Ms. Vaser-Williams said. Further south again, two hours from Byron Bay, Elders Real Estate agent Jake Kroehnert has also seen a rush to buy coastal properties. An original beachfront property on Main Street in Wooli he took to auction in late October attracted 20 registered bidders and sold for A$1.361 million. It was a record price for the area and well in excess of the pre-auction price guide of A$850,000 to A$900,000. “It just went off,” Mr. Kroehnert said of the auction. “It always had the potential to generate that interest but it came very late. There were some big players but there were a lot of opportune buyers that thought they’d have a crack at it.” The interest was mixed, Mr. Kroehnert recalled, with “heaps of inquiry” coming out of the Byron Bay shire, Sydney, Brisbane and internationally from Abu Dhabi. He said plenty of buyers had reassessed their priorities since the pandemic and were looking for lifestyle and relaxation, which Wooli is renowned for. The nearest major township is Grafton, inland by 30 minutes, with Wooli’s services limited to a public primary school, bowling club, pub and a community built around outdoor activities such as surfing and fishing. From Penta: Richard Mille and Bulgari Channel the Disco Era with Dazzling High Jewelry Watches “We had at least 30% of the inquiry coming out of Byron Bay and lots of bidders prepared to purchase sight unseen,” he said. “The prices around where they’re coming from have risen substantially compared to Wooli, and it’s a little coastal town much like Byron Bay used to be. A lot of people are trying to get out of Byron Bay as it has become too mainstream, they’ve been priced out or they’ve sold out for big dollars.” Mr. Kroehnert is so confident demand for the area’s property will continue he made an offer on an investment property in Wooli for himself within days of the red hot auction. “Two weeks ago I definitely wasn’t thinking of doing that but off the back of that campaign I thought ‘I’m mad if I don’t’ because there’s only one way that town is going and that’s up,” he said.
  14. WHAT: The Electoral College vote for the 2020 presidential election will be held on Dec. 14. How this unusual and often confusing system of selecting our nation's chief executive officer came about can be explained by Phillip J. VanFossen, Purdue University's J.F. Ackerman Professor of Social Studies Education. VanFossen says that the Electoral College was the last thing written into the draft of the U.S. Constitution, and that if no compromise had been reached on how to select the president, the draft would not have been approved. 15. Update 2: Well, we're officially confused. The same CD Projekt Red dev that shot down the supposed 56GB patch has now commented on the Xbox One update that's making waves on Twitter. Yeah, we don't get it either. Does this mean that there'll be two pre-launch updates for Cyberpunk 2077? Or is this one just rolling out for reviewers? We'll let you know as soon as we have some answers. Update: The rumoured 56GB day one patch for Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 may have been debunked, but the reality is that you're still going to have to download and install a substantial update before playing the open world RPG. YouTuber DreamcastGuy reports that Cyberpunk 2077 has a massive 43.5GB patch on Xbox One. Given that the game was delayed in order to add polish to the console versions, it's fair to assume that a similarly sized update will be available on PS4. Original Story: Cyberpunk 2077 is just a week away from release, and it honestly feels like parts of the internet are close to imploding. The hype is most certainly real, and as is usually the case with the imminent launch of something huge, a lot of people are currently losing their minds over what is apparently complete misinformation. Here's what's going on: some people have received their copy of Cyberpunk 2077 early. One such person hopped over to Reddit in order to prove that they had the game, posting a photograph of Cyberpunk 2077 installing onto their PS5. That image has since been removed, but it's still floating about on Twitter. The original poster claimed that they were downloading a colossal day one patch for the PS4 title — weighing in at a whopping 56GB. Naturally, a number of sites immediately ran with this story as it spread across social media — but according to CD Projekt Red's Fabian Mario Döhla, such a patch doesn't even exist. At least not yet. It appears as though the 56GB in question is actually the install size of Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4. CD Projekt Red has yet to make any official statement on the release of a day one patch. And that's about it. The only other thing we want to mention is that, again, some people already have Cyberpunk 2077 — and this will inevitably lead to leaks before the game's launch next week. Be careful out there!
  16. Adobe's hefty 25% discount (or 20%, if you're in the UK) on its Creative Cloud all apps suite ends today – so if you fancy signing up for its excellent full range of apps, we'd suggest heading quickly to the link below. The bundle includes over 20 creative apps, with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere Pro all covered, for only $39.99 / £39.95 a month – that's a total saving of $13 / £9.99 per month, or $156 / £119.98 over the course of a year. (Not in the US or UK? Scroll down for the best Adobe deals in your region.) Along with all of the apps, which also include Lightroom and Lightroom Classic for photographers, you get 100GB of cloud storage for all your creations, plus typefaces from Adobe Fonts and the ability to create a personalized website with Adobe Portfolio. This deal, which originally arrived for Black Friday, applies to an annual subscription, when paid for in monthly installments, and the offer ends at midnight on Friday November 27. It's a good time to sign up for Adobe's Creative Cloud all apps subscription, as many of the apps have just received big updates that improve their functionality and the range of devices they're available on. Adobe Illustrator, for example, recently became available for iPad, while PhotoShop for iPad received a big update that has pushed its skills closer to the desktop version. Both of these iPad apps are include in the 'all apps' subscription, along with the full-fat versions. This will likely be the best price we see on this bundle for a while, so if you're looking to level up your creative skills in the new year, it's a great time to sign up.
  17. With the release launch of the Radeon RX 6800 Series, we were able to get our day one review up on time but didn't have enough time to really explore overclocking. But since then we've managed to have a few extra moments in between other launches to explore that aspect. What we really wanted to find out was whether or not this launch carried a similar result as we've seen for years on end with Radeon, can the LE catch the XT? With the Radeon RX 6800 Series, the only real changes to each configuration are the Stream Processor count, TDP, and clock speeds. So what we wanted to do was give the Radeon RX 6800 every advantage that we could to see if it could close the gap or even eliminate the gap entirely. We overclocked the core, the memory, gave it all the power limit it could take in the Radeon Software, then we enabled Smart Access Memory. The XT was left entirely at stock clocks without Smart Access Memory enabled. Sure it's an apples to oranges comparison and you can overclock the RX 6800 XT just the same but we'll save that for something els As far as the overclock went we use Radeon Settings to add +15% to the power limit, set the memory to 2100MHz resulting in 16.8Gps memory, and moved the core frequency to a minimum of 2350MHz and the maximum to 2450MHz (anything over that become quite unstable, and we enable Smart Access Memory. Fired up the system and got to testing. As far as the overclock went we use Radeon Settings to add +15% to the power limit, set the memory to 2100MHz resulting in 16.8Gps memory, and moved the core frequency to a minimum of 2350MHz and the maximum to 2450MHz (anything over that become quite unstable, and we enable Smart Access Memory. Fired up the system and got to testing. In the results, you'll see the overclocked Radeon RX 6800 Referred to as the RX 6800 Rage Fury. I figured we'd all have a little fun with this one since the RX 6800 didn't get Rage Mode.Forza Horizon 4 carries on the open-world racing tradition of the Horizon series. The latest DX12 powered entry is beautifully crafted and amazingly well executed and is a great showcase of DX12 games. We use the benchmark run while having all of the settings set to non-dynamic with an uncapped framerate to gather these results.Shadow of the Tomb Raider, unlike its predecessor, does a good job putting DX12 to use and results in higher performance than the DX11 counterpart in this title and because of that, we test this title in DX12. I do use the second segment of the benchmark run to gather these numbers as it is more indicative of in-game scenarios where the foliage is heavyDOOM Eternal brings hell to earth with the Vulkan powered idTech 7. We test this game using the Ultra Nightmare Preset and follow our in-game benchmarking to stay as consistent as possible.
